Seth Rollins calls Roman Reigns’ World Heavyweight Championship claims ‘complete bullsh*t’

Seth Rollins did not hold back when discussing Roman Reigns’ claims about elevating the status of the World Heavyweight Championship.

In an interview with Big Nick Turturro on Delivering Happiness Rollins hyped his unfinished rivalry with Reigns and his shortened World Heavyweight Championship reign.

“So, now Roman Reigns is walking around with my title, right? Talking about how he made the title relevant, which is bullsh*t. I’ll just say it. It’s complete bullsh*t. He knows it. I know it. Everybody else knows it. He sounds like an idiot when he says it.”

He also discussed the formula that worked and currently works with top WWE stars

“I think one of the things that’s really underrated in top talent and you kind of look at it through the history is there’s a level, there’s an intelligence that exists. There’s an understanding of people and how to read people, how to read a room, and how to kind of manipulate that reaction and that  feeling.”

“You look at guys from all different eras and they have it and they may not be traditionally the smartest guys in the world, like, you know, math scientists type things, right? Like Dusty Roads was incredible at it, the American Dream. You look at Ric Flair, you look at Bruno Sammartino, you look at Stone Cold Steve Austin, you look at The Rock, you look at all these generations, Triple H, these guys, John Cena, myself, Roman Reigns, the common denominator, aside from the desire for greatness, there’s a hunger to be at a level above other people, right? There’s an intelligence. There’s a knowhow with a way to get people to do what you want them to do.”

“And I don’t mean that in a negative manipulative way. I’m not trying to trick you or anything like that, but I understand what you want and what you don’t want and how to make those things work in conjunction with each other in the context of a story. And I think that’s the big thing that really, I think separates kind of that upper level from like the elite.”

Rollins was forced to vacate the World Title in October 2025 due to a shoulder injury that required surgery. He was the inaugural winner of the championship when it was re-introduced in 2023, and has had two reigns with it.

Following his injury, CM Punk won the championship in his absence at SNME in November. At WrestleMania, Reigns defeated him for the title at the Night 2 main event.

Logan Paul reacts to ‘horrible’ WWE triceps injury, feels he owes CM Punk apology

Logan Paul feels like he owes CM Punk an apology after mocking Punk for tearing his triceps a couple years ago.

At WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event on May 23, Paul suffered his own torn triceps while The Vision were defending their World Tag Team titles against The Street Profits. He opened up about the injury on his Impaulsive podcast this week and said he never knew how bad a torn triceps could actually be. When Punk sustained his injury in 2024 and had to miss several months, Paul just thought he was a “p*ssy.”

“I tore my tricep off the bone, and a little piece of bone literally came with the tendon. It’s insane because — I’ll be honest, when CM Punk tore his tricep, I just thought he was a major p*ssy,” Paul said. “I cut a promo about it. I’m like, ‘You tore your wittle tricep?’ When I said it, I was like, ‘I hope this doesn’t ever happen to me.’ And he was just standing there and I remember thinking, ‘The dude tore his tricep. How was he out for six months? How bad could it be? It’s a f***ing tricep.’ It’s horrible.”

Paul explained that his injury happened at the very end of the SNME match in what was the last spot he was set to take part in.

“So what had happened was, I was on the outside, a nearly 300-pound [Angelo] Dawkins comes flying over the ropes,” Paul said. “He lands on me, my arm is flexed in trying to catch him landing on the ground — and too much weight, too much tension. I could feel the tendon snap off the elbow.”

Immediately, Paul knew he was injured and was feeling real pain, not selling like a wrestler typically does. He had to make sure after the match that Bron Breakker was not too rough when raising Paul’s arm in the air.

“I told Austin [Theory[ when we were in the ring, I said, ‘I tore my tricep.’ And he looks at — we’re still working — and he looks at me, he’s like, ‘What? Are you f***ing serious?’ I’m like, ‘Yeah, yeah, yeah.’ And then Bron Breaker goes to raise our arms because we had just won the match,” he said. “And I go, ‘I hurt my arm, I hurt my arm, I hurt my arm.’ And he takes a second. I’m like, ‘Please, careful, careful.’ And then he slowly raises it up and it was fine. But in that moment, I was like, bro, my partner’s about to rip my f***ing arm off more than it already is.”

Mental toll of the injury —

The injury has Paul feeling depressed and “mentally stuck,” which is a very unusual place for him. He cannot see the silver lining in the situation yet. Before this happened, Paul felt like he had a ton of momentum in WWE and was ready to go on a “generational” tag team run with Theory.

Theory is not vacating the World Tag Team titles despite Paul’s injury. Instead, Breakker is filling in with all members of The Vision eligible to defend the belts. Doctors have given Paul a six-month recovery timeline, but he’s already undergone surgery and is working to come back as soon as possible.

Amid Paul’s injury, WWE is considering adding new members to The Vision. Maxxine Dupri potentially joining the faction is a storyline that has already started to play out on television.

Ryan Nemeth takes apparent shot at CM Punk over ‘PEDs’

On social media today, Ryan Nemeth took an apparent shot at CM Punk, who he’s had issues with since the two were part of the AEW roster.

Nemeth is now with TNA Wrestling and Punk is back in WWE. But, at least on Nemeth’s side, bad blood between them seems to still exist. He sent out a tweet today making fun of “straight edge guys” who won’t take any substances except for performance-enhancing drugs. He did not name Punk in the tweet or make a direct accusation at him, but the post comes shortly after gym footage of Punk having an improved physique got a lot of attention online.

“I love that straight edge guys are like NOTHING! IS! EVER! GOING! IN! MY! BODY! EVER!,” Nemeth wrote. “Except PEDs which I will be putting in my body actually very often now because I do steroids, but of course that does not break my sacred vow. I am more disciplined than you :)”

While with AEW, Nemeth claims he was threatened by Punk and effectively banned from appearing on Collision. The matter led to Nemeth filing a lawsuit against Punk and AEW that has been moved to private arbitration after AEW filed its own countersuit.

The issues between Nemeth and Punk concern a 2023 tweet where Nemeth called Punk “literally the softest man alive,” which Nemeth claims was in character.

CM Punk’s WWE schedule —

Since the Raw after WrestleMania 42, Punk has been away from WWE programming due to a schedule change. He dropped the World Heavyweight Championship to Roman Reigns at WrestleMania and is said to be awaiting his next storyline. Instead of continuing the Reigns vs. Punk feud, WWE moved Jacob Fatu to Raw and began a title program between him and Reigns.

Sherilyn Guerrero recalls brotherly bond with CM Punk after Eddie Guerrero’s passing

Sherilyn Guerrero opened up about how she perceives CM Punk as an older brother who has assisted whenever needed. She also explains the Mysterio family’s impact in her life.

In an interview on the Smoothvega Podcast, Guerrero talked about her relationship with CM Punk especially after her father’s passing. And emphasized how he’s been like  an older brother throughout.

“So with CM Punk, I would go with him to his Make-A-Wishes, I would follow him around the ring. He was an older brother I needed after my dad passed away, and to see him was so heartwarming. We just hugged, I think when I saw Big show, JBL, I actually saw JBL in Bay City for the first time before you know the com the conventions and there’s a warm embrace I think they kind of feel my dad when they hug me so it’s a healing for both of us, for me it’s just like as a kid and for them it’s like I think I bring a presence of my dad with them so I hope it’s as heartwarming I think it is too. But I know CM Punk was like, ‘Don’t tell me you’re wrestling.’ I said, ‘I sure am,’ and he just embraced me.”

She also talked about Rey and Dominik Mysterio’s approachability for advice.

“I really feel like it was just, it’s supposed to happen reconnecting and then seeing Rey. Luckily Dom is someone I can really go to. He gives great advice. He keeps it real and I love that. Rey will keep it real, but seeing them, it’s just a, yeah, it’s a hug. It’s a hug that I can’t forget. It’s a moment that without the cameras and anything that’s probably a core memory that I can hold on to.”

Guerrero began training at Booker T’s Reality of Wrestling school around October 2025. And is hopeful for an official in-ring debut this year.

CM Punk workout footage shows him looking jacked ahead of WWE return

CM Punk is looking absolutely jacked as he prepares to return to WWE programming. Punk hasn’t appeared on WWE television since the Raw after WrestleMania on April 20, when he had a face-off with Cody Rhodes.

A fan posted footage online of their own recent workout, and CM Punk appears in the footage looking, as they described, “yoked” ahead of his return to television.

CM Punk getting jacked?

Although there is, of course, the chance for this to be an AI-generated fake, tests do seem to show that this is in fact genuine footage. While we can’t determine exactly when this footage was actually taken, Punk does look physically more toned in his upper arms and shoulders, so it would indicate it was between the RAW after Mania and now, likely in recent weeks.

Punk also looks a bit perturbed when he sees the camera, which is understandable, but unlike some of the creepy voyeuristic videos that have been doing the rounds recently, this seems like a genuine one off accidental spot of a WWE star in the wild. Still…the fan probably didn’t need to post it, just for balance here.

Update on CM Punk’s recent absence from WWE programming

An update is available on CM Punk’s recent absence from WWE programming.

Punk hasn’t appeared on WWE television since the Raw after WrestleMania on April 20, when he had a face-off with Cody Rhodes.

According to a report from False Finish on Saturday, Punk’s absence is due to his schedule and creative plans having shifted with WWE’s decision to move Gunther to SmackDown and Jacob Fatu to Raw.

False Finish wrote:

“As @FightfulSelect has mentioned, CM Punk being absent from TV is due to a “schedule change”. Sources tell False Finish that CM Punk is currently awaiting creative to return to WWE TV. Punk’s schedule and creative were shifted after WWE made the decision to move Gunther to SmackDown along with bringing Jacob Fatu to RAW to feud with Roman Reigns”

Alternate WrestleMania 42 plans for CM Punk vs. Roman Reigns

Last month in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer addressed alternate plans that had been discussed for Punk’s match against Roman Reigns in the main event of night two of WrestleMania 42. At one point, WWE had considered having Punk win the match, which would have led to a rematch between the two at Backlash.

Meltzer wrote:

“It was possible and apparently talked about that Punk could beat Reigns and then lose the title at Backlash, so they’d be ‘even’ when it was over but Reigns would end up as champion, as a way to protect Punk’s position. But the decision in the end was for Reigns to win here.”

Meltzer awarded Punk vs. Reigns a five-star rating, the fourth of Punk’s career and the first of Reigns’.

Major WWE star the odds on favorite to be Danhausen’s tag partner at WWE Backlash 2026

Danhausen has been looking for a tag team partner to join him at WWE Backlash 2026 to face The Miz and Kit Wilson. According to odds from MyBookie, Punk is -200 to appear as Danhausen’s mystery tag team partner on the night.

Punk is not currently confirmed for any other matches on the card, so there is a good chance that he ends up being the tag partner. Danhausen and Punk have a longstanding friendship going back years and Punk was one of the major voices backstage pushing to bring the Very Nice, Very Evil character into the company, so it’s not out of the question that he could help put over the Danhausen character even more on the PLE this weekend.

Danhausen Mystery Tag Team Partner Odds

Other notable odds for the potential mystery tag team partner include:

  • CM Punk -200
  • Jelly Roll +400
  • John Cena +2000
  • Stephen A. Smith +5000

WWE Backlash Card

The card for Backlash on Saturday, May 9th currently stands as follows:

  • World Heavyweight Championship: Roman Reigns (c) vs. Jacob Fatu
  • Seth Rollins vs. Bron Breakker
  • United States Championship: Trick Williams (c) vs. Sami Zayn
  • Danhausen must find a partner against The Miz and Kit Wilson
  • IYO SKY vs. Asuka

CM Punk accused by another fan of physical altercation during WrestleMania weekend

A second fan has accused CM Punk of shoving him in Las Vegas over WrestleMania weekend.

Shortly after WrestleMania, footage surfaced of Punk slapping a cell phone out of a fan’s hand in a Las Vegas hotel lobby while the fan was filming AJ Lee and Bayley saying goodbye and hugging. TMZ is now reporting that a separate incident in Las Vegas led to another fan calling the police on Punk.

On Friday, TMZ published audio from a 911 call placed on April 20, 2026, featuring a male Spanish-speaking person communicating through an interpreter. The man accused Punk of pushing him and chopping him in the chest.

“So I was here waiting for the WWE superstars, and I was trying to get a picture and maybe an autograph from them,” the man’s translator is heard saying on the call.

“When I got close, the star CM Punk pushes me and chops me from my chest.”

The man later said this took place at 12:31 a.m. at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. He also stated that he did not need medical attention.

When asked if he felt Punk was intoxicated, the man replied that “his face was red and his eyesight was full of anger.”

Asked if Punk had a weapon, the man responded, “None. He only had a briefcase on his left hand.”

Audio of the man’s 911 call is available below:

Cody Rhodes has named his dream match

WWE Undisputed Champion Cody Rhodes has opened up and revealed CM Punk as his dream match opponent.

Following his win at WWE WrestleMania 42, fans saw Cody Rhodes in a segment with CM Punk on the April 20 episode of Monday Night RAW. The segment saw Punk tease a title match against Rhodes.

Recently speaking to ESPN, Rhodes opened up and named himself vs. Punk as his dream match.

All-time dream match – I think fans think might happen, but I think is very hard to put together – I will use myself in this example, but a dream match that I’d like to be part of is probably myself versus CM Punk,” he said.

However, he further opened up and questioned the chances of WWE making the match happen. “The likelihood of it happening, who knows? Wrestling has gotten more… it’s difficult. We’re collaborators these days, so it’s difficult. I don’t know if he’d want that, and I don’t even know if I’d want it. But I know it would just be really great and be very good for wrestling,” he finished.

At WrestleMania 42, while Rhodes retained his title over Randy Orton, fans saw Punk lose his World Heavyweight Championship to Roman Reigns in a highly acclaimed match. The buildup to the 2026 WrestleMania saw Punk and Rhodes interact several times, although it is still unknown if WWE plans to have them face each other.

Triple H to CM Punk before WWE WrestleMania 42: ‘Thanks for the house’

WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H shared his gratitude with CM Punk before WWE WrestleMania 42 in Las Vegas.

Long gone from WWE, Punk returned to the promotion in 2023 and soon rose to the top. With back-to-back WWE WrestleMania main events, a new behind-the-scenes video released by the promotion showed Triple H and Punk engaged in a deep conversation.

In a WrestleMania 42 production video shared on WWE’s socials, Triple H was seen working with the WWE Superstars on their WrestleMania entrances when he chanced upon an encounter with Punk.

Triple H met with Punk and thanked him for “the house” as they looked toward the production stage and the stadium for WWE WrestleMania 42. Moving past their previous animosity, Punk developed a new relationship with WWE’s management and returned to the promotion after almost a decade.

It’s a big f***ing deal, right? It’s because of you, man. Thanks for the house,” said Triple H. “It was a team effort, you know that. It always has been. Thank you, those are kind words,” responded Punk.

While Triple H noted that he was happy for Punk to be in WWE, the former World Champion replied, “I’m happy to be here, you know that. Thank you for the opportunity.”

Punk main-evented WWE WrestleMania 42 Night Two against Roman Reigns, where he lost his World Heavyweight Championship.

WWE considered alternate result for Roman Reigns vs. CM Punk at WrestleMania | Exclusive

Dave Meltzer addressed the main event of WrestleMania 42 night two in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.

Meltzer wrote that WWE had considered a different finish for the match that would have seen CM Punk defeat Roman Reigns to retain the World Heavyweight Championship. This would have led to a rematch at Backlash where Reigns would win the title.

As for the match itself, Meltzer awarded it a five-star rating. It was Punk’s fourth time receiving a five-star rating. His previous five-star matches came in 2024 against Drew McIntyre in Hell in a Cell, in 2011 against John Cena at Money in the Bank, and against Samoa Joe in Ring of Honor in 2004.

As for Reigns, this marks his first five-star match, although he has also had four matches rated four and three-quarter stars.

Meltzer wrote of the match:

“Reigns’ win over Punk was clean, and among the best matches in WrestleMania history. They went 33:56, ending when Punk had Lesnar on his back for a second GTS, and then collapsed and Reigns then pinned hi with a spear. The storyline played into the interviews, where the match was long and grueling, and Punk got old and collapsed in the deep waters.”

Former WWE referee addresses DQ oversight in WrestleMania 42 main event

Retired WWE referee Mike Chioda responded to a tweet questioning Roman Reigns using steel steps as a weapon in the WrestleMania 42 main event.

There was no stipulation set for CM Punk and Reigns’ World Heavyweight Championship match at WrestleMania Sunday. It was a singles match which meant a winner would be declared via pinfall, submission, countout or disqualification. Chioda stated it was a certain disqualification and questioned why referee Rod Zapata did not call it out.

“Yes it sure is a DQ. Don’t know why the referee didn’t protect himself while goin over it in rehearsals.”

Reigns weaponized the steel steps on Punk who was hanging upside down from the ropes. Zapata stood up to Reigns immediately after it happened but it did not bear any repercussions on the match’s outcome. However, during the bout Michael Cole exclaimed that given the stature of the WrestleMania 42 main event it is granted a leeway.

Reigns ended up winning the match to become the new World Champion. Following the error in the match, there is no confirmation on whether it will impact his future as titleholder.

On the Raw after Mania, Reigns celebrated his win with The Usos by his side, and laid out an invitation for a Bloodline reunion. They were interrupted by Jacob Fatu who cited his intention to challenge for the World Heavyweight Championship at Backlash Tampa in May. Fatu didn’t just want what Reigns had but needed it. Reigns did not give a conclusive answer to the challenge but stated that he will give Fatu a week to ponder on his request.

Punk also appeared on Raw earlier discussing the loss and his mindset to overcome it. Cody Rhodes walked out and Punk suggested potentially going after for the Undisputed WWE Championship but did not give any specification on when.
