New member to join WWE NXT’s Vanity Project if Blake Monroe gets called up | Exclusive

With Blake Monroe’s potential call-up to the main roster a hot topic following her loss on Tuesday’s WWE NXT, our Bryan Alvarez has some news on who could join the Vanity Project if that happens.

Alvarez says that Myka Lockwood will join the faction if & when Monroe gets the call. Lockwood made her on-screen debut as a character during Tuesday’s show as a potential new love interest of Jackson Drake.

On the show, Shiloh Hill set up Drake on a date so he wouldn’t interfere in the Women’s North American title match (also a casket match) between Monroe and champion Tatum Paxley. However, the date stood him up.

Enter Lockwood who hit it off with Drake as she figured out that Hill had Drake fooled by an AI chatbot. The skit ended with Lockwood walking out of the bar with all three Vanity Project members.

Lockwood’s real name is Bayley Humphrey, a former Division 1 acrobatics & tumbling All-American from Baylor University. She was a member of the fourth class of the WWE NIL program in December 2023.

Alvarez added that her NXT finisher is “fricking awesome.”

Two title bouts, kickoff match booked for WWE NXT Stand & Deliver

More matches have been announced for Stand & Deliver.

Los Americanos won the number one contender’s match for the Tag Team titles on Tuesday, winning after help from El Grande Americano, who aided them by giving them an object to load into their mask. As a result, they will now challenge Vanity Project at Stand & Deliver this coming Saturday.

Bravo & Rayo were slotted into the tournament after Elio LeFleur & Eli Knight were seen attacked backstage last week, putting them out of the tournament. Los Americanos defeated The Culling’s Shawn Spears and Niko Vance to advance to Tuesday’s finals.

Meanwhile, Blake Monroe and Tatum Paxley agreed to a title match in St. Louis following a face-to-face on Tuesday’s show in New York City. The two ended up getting into a tug of war over the Women’s North American title, which Monroe stole from Paxley two weeks ago. Monroe managed to snatch the title and flee before Paxley could do more damage.

A pre-show match was also set for Saturday. Birthright will take on Eli Knight, Hank & Tank, Shiloh Hill, and Wren Sinclair in a ten-person tag team match.

WWE NXT to hold Stand & Deliver Tag Team title number one contender’s touranment

A tag team tournament will determine Vanity Project’s challengers for Stand & Deliver next month.

Interim GM Robert Stone announced backstage on Tuesday that the tournament will begin next week and will conclude at NXT’s Madison Square Garden Theatre event on March 31. Initially The Culling, Sean Legacy & Eli Knight, Hank & Tank, Birthright, OTM, and DarkState were slated to participate, with Hank & Tank facing Birthright next week in an opening round match.

Saquon Shugars of DarkState was upset about the situation, saying the group wanted their rematch from when Vanity Project won the titles several weeks ago. When OTM arrived in Stone’s office, they immediately began brawling with DarkState. Later in the show, Stone announced that as a result of the fight, both teams were out of the tournament.

Brad Baylor and Ricky Smokes won the NXT Tag Team titles last month, defeating Shugars and Osiris Griffin after Tony D’Angelo came in and laid out members of DarkState, causing Vanity Project to score the shock win. D’Angelo went on to meet Dion Lennox at Vengeance Day in a match that saw them brawl in the parking lot initially, with other DarkState members joining in. OTM came out to even the odds, allowing D’Angelo to take Lennox to the ring and eventually scored the victory.

WWE contract note on The Vanity Project

While they have lost two members in 2025, The Vanity Project made it clear on this past Tuesday’s WWE NXT New Year’s Evil that they plan on being around more in 2026.

However, our Bryan Alvarez had an interesting note on the trios’ contract status, reporting Wednesday night that Jackson Drake, Ricky Smokes and Brad Baylor are not under TKO contracts. Rather, they are still on WWE ID deals. It’s unknown if WWE is working toward changing that.

According to previous reports, the WWD ID deals give WWE the right of first refusal to match offers to ID talent if another organization is to offer them contracts. With TNA under their own WWE partnership, that would leave AEW as the only other organization that could realistically offer any of them full-time deals.

The inaugural WWE Evolve Champion, Drake has held the gold for over 250 days, but has not wrestled since last November. Smokes and Baylor as Swipe Right appeared in a losing effort on last month’s NXT year-end awards show episode. Both men wrestle frequently for Massachussetts’ Wrestling Open promotion.

Former Vanity Project members Zayda Steel and Bryce Donovan were also WWE ID prospects, but both exited the program in 2025.
