Two title bouts, kickoff match booked for WWE NXT Stand & Deliver

More matches have been announced for Stand & Deliver.

Los Americanos won the number one contender’s match for the Tag Team titles on Tuesday, winning after help from El Grande Americano, who aided them by giving them an object to load into their mask. As a result, they will now challenge Vanity Project at Stand & Deliver this coming Saturday.

Bravo & Rayo were slotted into the tournament after Elio LeFleur & Eli Knight were seen attacked backstage last week, putting them out of the tournament. Los Americanos defeated The Culling’s Shawn Spears and Niko Vance to advance to Tuesday’s finals.

Meanwhile, Blake Monroe and Tatum Paxley agreed to a title match in St. Louis following a face-to-face on Tuesday’s show in New York City. The two ended up getting into a tug of war over the Women’s North American title, which Monroe stole from Paxley two weeks ago. Monroe managed to snatch the title and flee before Paxley could do more damage.

A pre-show match was also set for Saturday. Birthright will take on Eli Knight, Hank & Tank, Shiloh Hill, and Wren Sinclair in a ten-person tag team match.

Bron Breakker return, World tag title number one contendership match set for next WWE Raw

One week after being indefinitely suspended, Bron Breakker may already be on his way back.

On Monday’s Raw in Belfast, Adam Pearce met with Paul Heyman and The Vision. Pearce said that he wanted to bring Breakker to Raw next week so they could sit in the same room and iron things out. Heyman said Breakker would be there, but then mocked Pearce by telling him to be on his best behavior.

Breakker and Pearce got into it last week after Breakker attacked Dragon Lee and Penta during a match. As the General Manager of Raw confronted him, Breakker went on a rampage, attacking officials and even shoved Pearce, who informed Breakker in a backstage segment later that he was suspended indefinitely following the altercation.

In a four-way match, The New Day, Alpha Academy (Otis & Akira Tozawa), Los Americanos, and American Made (Brutus & Julius Creed) will battle it out to determine a new number one contender for the World Tag Team titles, which are currently held by the Usos.

WWE Raw (January 26):

  • Bron Breakker returns from suspension
  • Four-way number one contender’s match for World Tag Team titles: The New Day vs. American Made vs. American Alpha vs. Los Americanos

WWE files trademarks for new Americano names

WWE has officially filed trademarks for the new Americano names that were unveiled on Raw last night.

On Monday’s show, it was revealed that Los Americanos are going by the names “Rayo Americano” and “Bravo Americano” individually. The two — who are believed to be played by Pete Dunne & Tyler Bate — are part of a trio with El Grande Americano (Ludwig Kaiser).

Rayo & Bravo made their in-ring debuts last night, losing to AJ Styles & Dragon Lee. The tag team match took place on the same day that WWE applied to trademark the “Rayo Americano” and “Bravo Americano” names. In the application, it’s listed that the trademarks are for goods and services related to pro wrestling performances:

Entertainment services, namely, wrestling exhibitions and performances by a professional wrestler and entertainer rendered live and through broadcast media including television and radio, and via the internet or commercial online service; providing wrestling news and information via a global computer network; providing information in the fields of sports and entertainment via an online community portal; providing a website in the field of sports entertainment information; fan club services, namely, organizing sporting events in the field of wrestling for wrestling fan club members; organizing social entertainment events for entertainment purposes for wrestling fan club members; providing online newsletters in the fields of sports entertainment; online journals, namely blogs, in the field of sports entertainment

WWE previously filed a trademark for the tag team name “Los Americanos” on September 22.

The El Grande Americano character was originally played by Chad Gable, who dawned the mask as he waged war with lucha libre. Since Gable was forced out of action with a shoulder injury, Kaiser has adopted the gimmick and WWE has expanded it into a full faction with the addition of Rayo & Bravo.

WWE files trademark for possible new team name

WWE has filed to trademark a potential new name for a developing team.

On Monday, September 22, the company filed to trademark “Los Americanos” for wrestling purposes with the US Patent and Trademark Office.

The purposes of the filing are listed as:

“Entertainment services, namely, wrestling exhibitions and performances by a professional wrestler and entertainer rendered live and through broadcast media including television and radio, and via the internet or commercial online service; providing wrestling news and information via a global computer network; providing information in the fields of sports and entertainment via an online community portal; providing a website in the field of sports entertainment information; fan club services, namely, organizing sporting events in the field of wrestling for wrestling fan club members; organizing social entertainment events for entertainment purposes for wrestling fan club members; providing online newsletters in the fields of sports entertainment; online journals, namely blogs, in the field of sports entertainment”

The original El Grande Americano character was played by Chad Gable. However, after Gable suffered a rotator cuff injury in June, he was replaced in the role by Ludwig Kaiser. As for the other Americanos that have since appeared on WWE programming, fans believe they are being portrayed by Pete Dunne (who is also working as a producer for AAA) and Tyler Bate.

Other recent WWE filings with the USPTO include the name “Reckoning,” which was filed for on September 4. The term “Succession” was also applied for on the same day.

WWE has also filed to trademark “WWE Films,” the original name of the company’s movie production division, which was renamed WWE Studios in 2008.
