As a last-minute replacement for Ash by Elegance, De Lander won the 8-4-1 match on Thursday’s Impact Wrestling with assistance from Matt Cardona to become the new number one contender to the Knockouts title.

Rosemary, Xia Brookside, Dani Luna, & De Lander were victorious over Masha Slamovich, Jody Threat, Havok, & Alisha Edwards in the 8-4 portion of Thursday’s 8-4-1 bout, then De Lander won the four-way over Luna, Brookside, & Rosemary with interference from Cardona. Mustafa Ali X-Division title defense part of new additions to TNA Rebellion

Two new matches have been added to next month’s TNA Rebellion pay-per-view including an X-Division title defense and a Full Metal Mayhem match.

After winning a six-man scramble match called the Rebellion Referendum on Thursday’s Impact, Jake Something earned the right to challenge current champion Mustafa Ali at the Saturday, April 20th event.

Something outlasted Leon Slater, Chris Bey, Alan Angels, Jason Hotch and Kevin Knight by pinning Hotch following his Into the Void finisher — a victory that Ali didn’t seem thrilled by.

Something will be in search of his first TNA title of any kind while Ali will be looking for the second defense of the title he won at February’s No Surrender. This will be their first-ever time in the ring together.

TNA originals turned rivals Eric Young and Frankie Kazarian will do battle in a Full Metal Mayhem match on the PPV.

The two become at odds after teaming with another, leading to a match at No Surrender for a future title shot. Young picked up the win and went on to challenge TNA World Champion Moose at March’s Sacrifice, only for Kazarian to interfere and help cost him the match.

Young challenged Kazarian to the no DQ, no countout, TLC-esque bout on Thursday.

It will be the second-such match for both men and their second against each other. Kazarian competed alongside Christopher Daniels against Young and Joseph Park in a losing effort as part of the Hardcore Justice III One Night Only PPV special in December 2013.

Here’s the current card that is set for the Palms in Las Vegas:

  • TNA World Champion Moose defends against Nic Nemeth

Nic Nemeth to challenge Moose for World title at TNA Rebellion

After superkicking Moose as part of his first night in the company, Nic Nemeth will finally challenge the TNA Champion at April’s Rebellion pay-per-view.

Nemeth, the current IWGP Global Champion, will be looking for his first taste of TNA gold and his first World singles title since he held the WWE World Heavyweight title in 2013.

Moose is currently in his second TNA World title reign after winning the gold at January’s Hard to Kill — the same event where he was confronted by Nemeth. The leader of The System will be looking for his third title defense.

The two have never shared the ring together.

Moose’s System factionmates will also be in action as TNA Tag Team Champions Eddie Edwards & Brian Myers will defend against Speedball Mountain (Mike Bailey & Trent Seven).

Edwards and Myers defeated ABC (Chris Bey & Ace Austin) for the titles at last month’s Sacrifice. After Thursday’s trios main event on Impact had concluded, Moose, Edwards and Myers laid out Nemeth, Bailey and Seven to foreshadow the announcements to come.

The bouts are the first two announced for the Saturday, April 20th PPV from the Palms in Las Vegas.

Here’s the current card:

  • TNA World Champion Moose defends against Nic Nemeth
  • TNA Tag Team Champions The System (Eddie Edwards & Brian Myers) defend against Speedball Mountain (Mike Bailey & Trent Seven)
