Paul Heyman celebrates 25 years since WWE debut

This month marks 25 years since Paul Heyman’s WWE debut.

On the March 5, 2001 episode of Raw, Heyman joined Jim Ross on the Raw commentary team after Jerry “The King” Lawler left the promotion. Heyman took note of the belated anniversary this past weekend while responding. to a clip shared on social media. In typical Heyman fashion, he praised himself as the “best commentator” to ever sit at the WWE booth. He also recalled how Stephanie McMahon hated her “Billion Dollar Princess” nickname.

“This one popped me huge. Three things to notice. (1) Man, I am not only cute, I’m the best damn commentator that has ever sat at the desk,” Heyman wrote. “(2) @JRsBBQ says “I don’t know what I did to deserve this.” Yes you do. YES YOU DO! And it started with #WCWNewYork

“(3) First people I commented on?@TripleH and@StephMcMahon.  Funny note – Steph HATED me [calling] her the Billion Dollar Princess. Absolutely despised the monicker. But rest assured, she got even with me for it!”

Heyman worked on commentary until moving back into a managerial role, taking on main-event clients like Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns during his multiple runs with WWE. He is currently the manager of The Vision, a faction that consists of Bron Breakker, Bronson Reed, Logan Paul & Austin Theory. Along with that, Heyman remains an important behind-the-scenes presence in the company.

In 2024, Heyman was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in Philadelphia, a city that holds special significance to Heyman given that it was the birthplace of ECW.

Trish Stratus answers if she will induct Stephanie McMahon into WWE Hall of Fame

With Stephanie McMahon headlining the 2026 WWE Hall of Fame, wrestling legend Trish Stratus has answered questions about possibly inducting McMahon.

13 years after Trish Stratus’ induction into the WWE Hall of Fame, it is now time for McMahon to join the Hall of Fame class. With this year’s induction ceremony also including names such as AJ Styles and The Demolition, it is currently unclear who would induct McMahon.

Recently appearing on KLAS 8 News Now to promote her First Crush, Stratus was asked if she would return the favor by inducting McMahon this year. “I’ll have to see if I’m not at Flanker. I’ll have to see,” Stratus added.

First Crush by Stratus is about providing fans with an exclusive pop-up merchandise shop, themed food and beverage offerings, meet and greets, podcast recordings, panels, fireside chats, and surprise moments throughout the Wrestlemania week

Stratus, 50, is scheduled to be at Flanker Kitchen/Sports Bar in Las Vegas during the WrestleMania 42 weekend. This year’s Hall of Fame ceremony will take place on April 17th at Dolby Live in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Joe Tessitore misses WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event due to travel issues

Joe Tessitore was unable to make it to Saturday Night’s Main Event.

Stephanie McMahon opened Saturday’s show in Montreal and revealed that due to ongoing winter storm conditions across North America, Tessitore was unable to be there and is currently stuck at an airport in Detroit, Michigan. McMahon went ahead and opened the show before throwing it to the show’s intro.

Tessitore on Friday was calling the action for the first-ever Zuffa Boxing card in Las Vegas.

The winter storm affecting a swath of the country this weekend has caused some promotions to change their plans. AEW Collision was originally set to air live on Saturday in Texas, but was canceled on Wednesday and matches were instead taped following the live Dynamite in Orlando.

According to a Fightful report, WWE representatives said there are “options, backup options, and backup backup options” for travel this week. Following Saturday Night’s Main Event in Montreal, WWE will head to Toronto for Monday’s Raw. They will then travel to Saudi Arabia for SmackDown on Friday and the Royal Rumble the following day.

Stephanie McMahon shares advice for aspiring WWE wrestlers

Stephanie McMahon believes developing a connection with the audience is the most important thing for any aspiring WWE wrestler.

A new episode of McMahon’s “What’s Your Story?” podcast debuted today with Bayley appearing as the guest. It was recorded before Bayley held her Lodestone Women 2025 seminar at the end of last year — and Bayley asked McMahon if she had any advice to share with the indie wrestlers who would be attending the camp.

“I guess what I’ll say is: the most important thing you can do is make the audience feel,” McMahon responded. “You want to elicit an emotion. And you do that with your reactions. You do it with your face. You do it with your eyes. You do it by selling. You know, that is the purest form of it, right? My husband’s quoted this many times, but Maya Angelou said, ‘People will never remember what you said, they’ll never remember what you did, but they’ll always remember how you made them feel.’ And it’s true.”

McMahon added that fans might not remember a particular match, but they’ll always remember the emotions of how wrestling made them feel. Strong positive and negative emotions are what resonates with people most strongly.

“I would say to these girls, you need to find a way to make people feel something for you,” McMahon said. “And that’s not easy. People will give lots of different advice on how to do that. But whether it’s with your words, your face, your body, you have to make people feel.”

Storytelling is what McMahon believes WWE is based around — and she thinks selling is critically important to telling stories in the ring.

“Selling is the most important,” she said. “I mean, it just is.”

Along with this, McMahon shared that — when WWE holds tryouts at the Performance Center — her husband Paul “Triple H” Levesque is looking for people who show leadership and encourage the other attendees.

McMahon does not currently hold an executive role with WWE, but her podcast is part of the WWE & Fanatics network. McMahon is set to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame during WrestleMania 42 week in Las Vegas this April.

Trish Stratus shares 50th birthday gift from Stephanie McMahon

In celebration of her 50th birthday, WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus received a special gift from Stephanie McMahon.

Stratus, who turned 50 years old on December 18, shared today that Stephanie sent her 50 roses to mark the occasion. While showing off the flowers, Stratus joked about the rivalry she and Stephanie once had on WWE programming.

“So you think by sending me 50 long stem roses in varying shades of pink nestled among baby’s breath for my 50th birthday I’m just gonna forget everything??” Stratus wrote.

“Yup @stephaniemcmahon, that did the trick. Love you!”

It’s been a challenging time for Stratus with her mother passing away in August, and not having her mother here for her 50th birthday and the Christmas season has been especially hard. She sent out a message to anyone who is attempting to navigate this time without someone they love.

“They say the year of firsts is the hardest. I hope that’s true. I hope it gets a little easier with time, even if it never fully goes away,” Stratus wrote.

“For anyone walking through this kind of season without someone they love – especially a mom – please know I’m thinking of you and sending you love. I know, I know, she’s here in spirit… but the truth is, she’s not here – and it sucks.”

This year — which was the 25th anniversary of her WWE debut — saw Stratus return for a few matches, including losing to Tiffany Stratton at WWE Evolution.

Stratus accomplished a “bucket list” goal recently by being featured on the cover of the January 2026 edition of FHM Australia magazine.

Stephanie McMahon shares that she suffered miscarriage at one point

On the latest episode of her “What’s Your Story?” podcast, Stephanie McMahon opened up about a difficult situation she once went through.

A new edition of “What’s Your Story?” premiered today with Natalya discussing her recently released memoir. McMahon commended Natalya for how open she is in the book, which covers the mental health struggles her father Jim “The Anvil” Neidhart faced stemming from head trauma.

McMahon shared that, at one point in her life, she suffered a miscarriage. McMahon believes there is value in sharing the difficulties you’ve faced because, at the end of the day, we’re all human and have to navigate these kinds of struggles.

“I had a miscarriage at one point, and it’s devastating,” McMahon said. “You never really know until you tell someone that you had a miscarriage — and then you find out tons of women that you know who have had miscarriages. And it’s just something we don’t share that I think if we did talk about more, it would be helpful.

“From a mental health standpoint as well, you know, it’s very hard to go through that. When you find out that people you love, relate to, look up to — that really, truly, we all have problems. We’re here to help one another, because at the end of the day all we have is each other.”

When former WWE star Carmella suffered pregnancy loss a few years ago, she said McMahon reached out to her several times and was “so supportive” through the situation.

McMahon and her husband Paul “Triple H” Levesque have three daughters together who are now 19, 17, and 15 years old.

Stephanie McMahon applauds WWE star Bayley for ‘leadership and sacrifice’

Bayley caught the attention of Stephanie McMahon with her Lodestone Women 2025 seminar.

On X/Twitter today, McMahon sent out a message applauding Bayley for her leadership and sacrifice. The WWE star held a free seminar in Orlando over the weekend for up-and-coming women’s wrestlers. The three-day camp included visits from WWE competitors Charlotte Flair, Bianca Belair, Rhea Ripley, Natalya, and Lyra Valkyria — and John Cena even showed up to spend a day with the attendees.

“Thank YOU for your leadership and sacrifice @itsBayleyWWE! And for helping mentor and grow the next generation of female wrestlers!,” McMahon tweeted. “@JohnCena showed up, as did everyone else, because of the opportunity YOU created (and mostly paid for out of your own pocket). The future is in excellent hands #Lodestone2025”

The seminar was open to women outside of WWE who already have experience wrestling on the indies. Bayley selected the attendees from a group of applicants and paid for all expenses aside from travel. The “Lodestone” name refers to a magnetite that some believe helps with attraction and manifestation.

Cena attended the last day of the camp, which was a 10-match card that the attendees participated in.

Bayley’s long-term goal is opening her own wrestling school. Whenever her career in the ring ends, she could be interested in continuing her time with WWE in a behind-the-scenes position like producing.

After the conclusion of the Lodestone seminar, Bayley appeared on Raw last night and accompanied Valkyria for a match against Roxanne Perez. Interference by Liv Morgan helped Perez get the victory.

Stephanie McMahon confirms role for John Cena’s final WWE match

Stephanie McMahon has announced herself in a new role for John Cena’s final WWE match.

In around two weeks, John Cena is all set to perform in his final-ever WWE match. He is scheduled to go against the winner of the Last Time is Now tournament. However, with still a few weeks to go, former WWE CEO Stephanie McMahon has revealed her new duties for that night.

Speaking to Megan Morant ahead of WWE Survivor Series, McMahon confirmed that she will be serving as a co-host for the event alongside Joe Tessitore.

I’m actually co-hosting with Joe Tessitore,” McMahon revealed. “I’m going to have to reign those emotions in a little bit.”

John Cena’s last match is scheduled to take place on the December 13th, 2025 edition of Saturday Night’s Main Event. His opponent has not yet been determined, though it will be one of the tournament’s four remaining semifinalists. Gunther, Solo Sikoa, LA Knight, and Jey Uso are set to face off on the December 1 episode of Raw to determine who advances to the finals.

John Cena’s former rival is not a fan of his final run

Recently speaking to Ariel Helwani on The Ariel Helwani Show, David Otunga shared his thoughts on John Cena’s ongoing retirement tour.

“Honestly I wish it would have been a little bit more exciting. I don’t think it was what people expected. I wanted him to have a farewell tour like Kobe (Bryant) did. Kobe’s farewell tour was awesome, I feel like Cena deserves that because, let’s be honest he comes out and says he’s the greatest of all time, he’s not necessarily wrong. The guy does deserve it.”

Cena and Otunga were once fierce rivals during David Otunga’s Nexus run.

Stephanie McMahon would ‘completely support’ her daughters becoming WWE wrestlers

Stephanie McMahon would fully support her daughters if they wanted to become WWE wrestlers — but she knows how hard they would have to work to prove themselves given who their parents are.

McMahon and Paul “Triple H” Levesque have three daughters who are now 19, 17 and 15 years old. Their eldest daughter Aurora is studying physical therapy in college and hopes to earn a doctorate’s degree. But McMahon doesn’t rule out Aurora or any of her children entering the family business someday, even in an in-ring role.

“Oh, totally,” McMahon said on her “What’s Your Story?” podcast when asked if she would support her daughters becoming wrestlers. “I mean, they would have to work really hard, right? And I think, you know, when you are the child of, you have to earn it more, quite frankly, in order to appreciate the business, appreciate the people in the business. Respect is earned, not given. And you have to earn it every day. And I think it would be harder for them in that respect, but I would completely support it.”

For herself, McMahon considers growing up in pro wrestling to have been a privilege. It allowed her to be around so many different types of people and develop a sense of family with them.

“We’re a family. And I feel even our fans are a part of this family,” she said. “And wrestling fans are my people, you know, that’s what I feel like anyway. And I just feel it’s such a special environment of people who, you know, really are down to earth, just have a particular set of values and they know what they believe in. And I just feel very fortunate to be a part of it. And I would definitely encourage my kids if they wanted to be a part of it.”

McMahon recalled that, when she was young, Aurora told her that she didn’t want her mother’s job or her father’s job — she wanted Vince McMahon’s job of running WWE. Aurora later even trained in the ring with Natalya and Charlotte Flair. But Aurora started to see WWE as less of a viable path after everything that went down with her grandfather’s alleged sexual assault and trafficking scandal that led to him resigning from the company.

“She’s naturally gifted, like in the ring,” Stephanie said about Aurora. “Nattie used to train her. She did, you know, a long time ago, like, and then everything happened, you know, with my dad and the business and I left.

“And I think I don’t realize necessarily the impact that it had, especially on Aurora, but on all of my kids, because Aurora always saw a path forward through the business. And when everything happened suddenly, that wasn’t there anymore. And she had to shift her focus and what she thought she was going to do. And that happens in life anyway. I mean, you constantly change and all of that. But it was a path that she felt suddenly wasn’t there anymore. So who knows? She might find her way back to it. But Charlotte had a couple of matches with her, trained with her. Nattie trained her. And they both said what a natural in the ring she was.”

Stephanie does not currently have any kind of executive role with WWE but makes occasional appearances and hosts her podcast for the WWE & Fanatics podcast network. She is set to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame next year.

Stephanie McMahon: Executives didn’t make WWE women’s evolution happen

In a new podcast, Stephanie McMahon and AJ Lee addressed their Twitter controversy from 2015.

The social media exchange from more than a decade ago saw Lee fire back at McMahon over a tweet regarding equal pay for women. McMahon applauded actress Patricia Arquette for using an Oscars speech to advocate for the issue — and Lee responded by pointing out that women in WWE did not make the same money as their male counterparts or get equal screen time despite having record-breaking merchandise sales and highly rated TV segments.

McMahon said on “What’s Your Story?” that she appreciated Lee’s directness and was actually happy that she posted the tweet, though she did not like that the post was directed at her specifically. McMahon credited all of the female stars throughout wrestling history for making the women’s evolution a reality, saying it happened because of them and not because of executives.

“I was actually happy that you posted that,” McMahon said. “I wasn’t happy that it was directed at me because it wasn’t anything I had direct control over. But I was really happy that you did because that movement, the whole women’s evolution in WWE, it didn’t happen because of executives or it didn’t happen because, I mean, maybe along the way, people voicing their opinions — but it really happened because of the women who paved the way all the way back to the beginning of all of these incredible women who have been inside the squared circle no matter what promotion they were in.

“But then for our audience, when they started the hashtag ‘Give Divas a Chance’ at that time, that’s what couldn’t be ignored. And the audience would never have gotten behind the movement if it weren’t for people like you who actually stood up for women publicly and take on the machine a little bit. It was a big deal, I thought.”

Lee responded by saying she knew she was taking a risk with the tweet, but you have to take risks to get what you truly want in life.

“I appreciate that,” Lee said. “And I feel like change doesn’t happen unless there’s sacrifice. You have to be willing to lose everything to get what you want. I feel like in every aspect of life — playing it safe might give you a safe life, but I don’t know if it gives you an exceptional life. And so I felt like that was worth it, whatever backlash was going to be. But I thought you were cool after. Like, everyone was pretty chill. It was business and I appreciate that. But, you know, it was a rough time.”

“I mean, there was a lot of things happening at that time [laughs],” McMahon replied. “So I’m sure everyone could read into it however they wanted. But it was so important. You know, it was a really important public-facing step.”

Lee retired from WWE in April 2015 and spent more than a decade away from the ring until returning this September. She’s set to compete in WarGames at Survivor Series this Saturday, where it will be Lee, Rhea Ripley, IYO SKY, Charlotte Flair & Alexa Bliss vs. Becky Lynch, Asuka, Kairi Sane, Nia Jax & Lash Legend.

Stephanie McMahon & Triple H appear with President Trump at the Oval Office

Triple H & Stephanie McMahon were at The White House.

Both were seen on Tuesday at the Oval Office as President Trump signed executive orders. Stephanie took time to speak to reporters about one of the orders, which relates to using AI to help improve treatments for childhood cancer. Stephanie spoke about her and WWE’s relationship with Connor Michalek, a young WWE fan who fought cancer.

“Kids shouldn’t even know what cancer is, let alone have to face it. And this incredible team believes that too. This executive order makes kids with cancer the first focus of AI innovation across health care in America,” she said. “If there is one thing in the world that could bring us together, please let it be our children because I can almost guarantee if your child was diagnosed with cancer, you wouldn’t care what party your doctor belonged to, you would just want the best. And President Trump is doing just that, enabling every child with cancer gets the best care possible. And we couldn’t be more grateful.”

Later on social media, Triple H praised Stephanie for her words.

“I cannot begin to describe how proud I am of @stephaniemcmahon. Her dedication to #ConnorsCure and tireless advocacy in the fight against pediatric cancer over the past decade has been truly inspiring,” he said. “Today’s Executive Order, which she spearheaded, marks a historic breakthrough in this incredibly important cause.”

The charity fund Conor’s Cure was established by WWE in 2014 to support pedicatric cancer research across cancer centers worldwide. Triple H and Stephanie McMahon are part of the President’s Council on Sports, Fitness, and Nutrition. Triple H is the vice-chair of the President’s Council on Sports, Fitness, and Nutrition. Earlier this year, he and Stephanie visited the US Department of Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr, who was also in attendance Tuesday.

The McMahon family continues to have a strong relationship with President Trump during his second term, with Linda McMahon serving as the current Secretary of Education. She was at the Oval Office on Tuesday and spoke briefly to praise Stephanie for her efforts.

Triple H, Stephanie McMahon, more react to Stephanie Vaquer’s WWE Women’s title win

Stephanie McMahon, Triple H and more are celebrating Stephanie Vaquer’s WWE Women’s World title win.

Vaquer defeated IYO SKY on Saturday at WWE Wrestlepalooza to win her first championship on the main roster, only 14 months after signing with the company. Following her win on the show, Triple H spoke about Vaquer on the post-event show, mentioning her performance on the PLE came after she had been dealing with an illness for weeks.

“In the last few weeks, Stephanie has been very sick. I don’t know the details of what the flu-type thing going on but she was very sick. It was why she missed the TV, it’s why there were some odd build to it.

“She was able to feel well enough and get cleared medically to compete tonight. For her to be able to do that against IYO, who I consider one of the greatest women of all time in this industry. For her to have a win like that tonight to become the women’s world championship is incredible. She has been here for a very short time. As we move forward now, she becomes a dominant force. The landscape of WWE in the women’s division just changed with Stephanie Vaquer becoming women’s champion.”

Stephanie McMahon responded to a social media post by Vaquer shortly after her title win. Vaquer posted, “They call us dreamers, but we’re the ones who don’t sleep” and McMahon responded:

“I believe in you @Steph_Vaquer! All anyone has to do is watch last night’s match with @Iyo_SkyWWE and they will believe too. La Primera es la campeona! Felicitaciones!”

Shawn Michaels also responded to Vaquer’s post after her win on Saturday’s show in Indianapolis. He wrote:

“On behalf of myself & everyone at #WWENXT… congratulations to  @Steph_Vaquer on becoming Women’s World Champion. Couldn’t be prouder of you. Keep on dreaming, La Primera. #Wrestlepalooza”

Naomi shares details on her pregnancy, opens up on previous medical issues

Naomi has shared details on her pregnancy.

The former WWE Women’s World Champion and her husband Jimmy Uso were guests on a bonus edition of What’s Your Story? with Stephanie McMahon that dropped shortly after Raw. Naomi said that she found out on August 10, shortly before she was supposed to face IYO SKY in a match on last week’s Raw.

“In my hotel room. Had been feeling a little different, a little weird,” she recalled. “Just wanted to take a test to find out and make sure, kinda rule it out, not thinking because it’s been a long journey with fertility issues that I’ve had. So yeah, I really just didn’t think it was possible.”

Later, she revealed that she was seven weeks pregnant and has already heard her child’s heartbeat.

She revealed that before she made her debut on the main roster as a Funkadactyl, she underwent an oophorectomy, with her right ovary being removed. Additionally, in 2020, she underwent a procedure to remove fibroids from her uterus.

“I had tons, and big ones,” she said.

“I remember the surgery. It was supposed to be a couple of hours, she was in there for six hours,” Uso recalled.

Naomi said that she had to take six months off due to the recovery process. She figured that given her previous medical history, the chances of her and Uso conceiving a child naturally weren’t that high.

“It was more intense and severe than they thought it was initially, and just the healing and also a lot of scar tissue so that also affected…the ability, on top of being older, I’m 37 now, and on top of only having one ovary, we thought for sure that naturally, I couldn’t anymore,” she shared.

The now-former Women’s World Champion also said that the pregnancy was high risk, but despite that, everything is going good so far.

“I’m going to have checkups more often, but everything’s looking good. We’re off to a good start,” she said.

The announcement of their pregnancy took place on Monday’s Raw. In an in-character promo, Naomi vacated the Women’s World Championship, warning whoever had the championship when she returns should proceed with caution.

WWE

  • The White House streamed today’s executive order signing where Paul “Triple H” Levesque was among those named to the President’s Council on Sports, Fitness, and Nutrition. Linda McMahon also attended the press conference.
  • Levesque posted a tweet thanking everyone who has watched WWE: Unreal on Netflix: “The reception of @WWE: UNREAL on @netflix has been incredible so far. Our goal has been to show the passion and drive that goes into our weekly television, as well as showcasing our talent through the highs and lows. Thank you all for watching.”
  • This week’s episode of “What’s Your Story?” is a conversation between Stephanie McMahon and John Cena.
  • On the show, Stephanie mentioned that – before Triple H’s heart issues in 2021 – she was always worried about losing him early. Now that he’s survived that, the feeling has gone away and she is no longer worried about him dying young. She opened up about realizing what’s important in life:
    • I believe in helping people as much as you can, if you can, even if that’s just listening to them, even if that’s just smiling at somebody that you don’t know. My favorite thing in the world is smiling at a little kid walking by and they smile back. That’s like the greatest feeling. Simple things are what it’s all about.
    • And I think that’s what you learn, if you learn, the longer you live. It’s not about the material stuff. It’s about the stuff that matters most. And, you know, I almost lost Paul, my husband. And what’s weird, and I haven’t talked about it, is I always had a feeling that I was going to lose him early. I just had that feeling. And after we got through everything, that feeling went away.
    • It’s like a pattern that was supposed to have been changed. And it was, I mean, such a gift, truly. And then I started going through all this stuff in the company, and I realized there is nothing more important to me than my family, than my husband and my kids. That’s what matters most, and I want to give as much time as I possibly can. I’ve given everything I possibly have to the business, you know, my whole life. And I wanted to give back to them. And that’s when I took that first leave of absence, which didn’t last very long. But I knew what mattered, and I know what matters now.
    • And I believe that love is what life is all about. And if you can help somebody in any way, I think that that is what it’s all about. You know, it’s about giving back.
  • Damian Priest and Zelina Vega surprised a young fan by inviting them and their family to attend SummerSlam and meet Rhea Ripley.
