Two matches have been announced for next week’s AEW Rampage episode.
Scorpio Sky will defend the TNT Championship against his former SCU teammate Frankie Kazarian. Sky had promised Kazarian a title shot several weeks ago in a backstage promo segment, then lived up to the promise on this week’s Rampage.
Sky and Kazarian were the first-ever AEW World Tag Team Champions, defeating the Lucha Brothers in a tournament final on Dynamite in October 2019 to win the belts.
Also set for next week’s Rampage, Ruby Soho will face Riho in an Owen Hart Foundation Women’s Tournament first round matchup. Riho returned for her first match in nearly three months on this week’s show, defeating Yuka Sakazaki in a qualifier.
Next week’s Rampage will be taped on Wednesday, set to air next Friday. Next week’s start time is listed as 6 p.m. Eastern time on TNT’s website. Here is the announced lineup:
AEW Rampage, Friday, May 13 —
TNT Championship: Scorpio Sky (c) vs. Frankie Kazarian
Owen Hart Foundation Women’s Tournament quarterfinals: Ruby Soho vs. Riho
Ruby Soho has qualified for the upcoming Owen Hart Foundation tournament.
On tonight’s Rampage, Soho defeated Robyn Renegade to qualify. Towards the end of the match, Robyn’s twin sister Charlette replaced her as Soho was distracted. Soho hit the no future on Charlette, which sent her back to under the ring. Robyn re-entered the ring attempted a roll-up during the confusion, but Soho kicked out and planted Robyn with a downward spiral for the win.
Soho’s win tonight marks the fifth person who has qualified to advance in the upcoming tournament. Toni Storm, Jamie Hayter, Hikaru Shida, and Red Velvet have all qualified. Storm and Hayter, who have exchanged some back and forth in recent weeks in backstage promos, will meet in the quarterfinals.
The sixth entrant will be determined on this Wednesday’s edition of Dynamite. Britt Baker in her first appearance after losing the AEW Women’s World Championship to Thunder Rosa will face Danielle Kamela in a tournament qualifier.
The tournament will begin next month, with a winner being crowned at AEW Double or Nothing on May 29th.
On tonight’s episode of Rampage, Ruby Soho will face Robyn Renegade in a qualifying match for AEW’s women’s Owen Hart Foundation Tournament.
But Tony Khan revealed during his appearance on Busted Open Radio this morning that he originally had a different opponent in mind for Soho. Khan said he looked at booking Soho vs. AQA last week, but AQA has been sick so he hasn’t been able to get her in the mix.
“I also really like AQA, who is another wrestler [from] down here in Texas, and honestly I wanted to give her an opportunity and an Owen qualifier,” Khan said. “I had looked at doing Ruby vs. AQA last week and AQA’s been sick so I hadn’t been able to get her in the mix.”
AEW announced the signing of AQA after she made her debut for the promotion on an episode of Dynamite this February. Prior to joining AEW, AQA was released by WWE last November. She went by the name Zayda Ramier in NXT.
AQA defeated Miranda Alize on the pre-show for ROH Supercard of Honor earlier this month.
Renegade made her AEW debut on Dark: Elevation in May of last year.
Toni Storm, Jamie Hayter, Hikaru Shida, and Red Velvet have already qualified for the women’s Owen Hart Foundation Tournament. Britt Baker will face Danielle Kamela in a qualifier on Dynamite next Wednesday.
Tonight’s Rampage is being held at the Curtis Culwell Center in Garland, Texas. It’s a live episode that’s airing on TNT at 7 p.m. Eastern time due to a scheduling conflict with the NBA playoff play-in tournament.

All matches were filmed before last Wednesday’s Dynamite from Daily’s Place in Jacksonville, Florida:
Ruby Soho vs. Nyla Rose has been officially announced for next week’s AEW Dynamite.
The match was set up on this week’s episode, as Rose challenged Soho in a promo segment with Vickie Guerrero. A video promo aired during Rampage where Rose mocked Soho playing air guitar during her entrance. The match was then made official.
In their previous AEW meeting, Soho defeated Rose in the semifinals of the inaugural TBS Championship tournament.
Rose is a former AEW Women’s Champion.
Dynamite will take place in Chicago, Illinois at the Wintrust Arena on Wednesday, February 2. They last ran the Wintrust for their Thanksgiving week Dynamite and Rampage in November, a show where CM Punk faced QT Marshall, and the Punk-MJF feud began in earnest with a lengthy promo segment.

B-Fab, who was also part of the group, was released on November 4. The group had only made their debut on the main roster just weeks prior to their release as part of the 2021 WWE Draft.
Ruby Soho, also released in the last year due to WWE budget cuts, has since signed with AEW and has also made appearances outside of the company. She faced Allie Katch this past weekend at The Wrld on GCW at the Hammerstein Ballroom, picking up the win.
It’s Monday and you know what that means: a seven-match AEW Dark: Elevation that was taped last Wednesday at the PNC Arena in Raleigh, North Carolina.
Excalibur and Mark Henry were on the call this week.
Lee Moriarty & Matt Sydal defeated JR Miller & Marcus Kross
Sydal and Kross started with an exchange of kicks that Sydal obviously won. Later, Kross targeted one of Sydal’s legs and isolated him for a while until a Moriarty hot tag. A Moriarty Border City Stretch on Kross picked up the win for Moriarty and Sydal.
Tay Conti defeated Ameera
This was Ameera’s AEW debut In a short match, Conti dominated with several judo throws, corner kicks and a boss man slam. Conti picked up the win with the TayKO, improving her career record to 52-9.
Gunn Club (w/ Billy Gunn) defeated JB Cole & T.I.M.
This was the AEW debut for Cole and T.I.M. The crowd distracted Gunn Club with “Ass Boys” chants throughout the match, giving T.I.M. and Cole an opportunity to take advantage. In the end, Colten hit the Colt 45 on T.I.M. to pick up the win, upping their record to 40-1.
Frankie Kazarian defeated LaBron Kozone
Kazarian worked Kozone’s neck throughout as a prelude to the chicken wing. Kazarian rolled here with a lot of chops to Kozone’s chest. Kazarian (33-7) eventually got the crossface chicken wing to get the submission victory.
Ruby Soho defeated Kenzie Paige
Soho (12-3) won this short match after hitting No Future. This was an important win for her after losing in the TBS title tournament final to Jade Cargill.
Private Party defeated Chase Emory & Patrick Scott
This was the AEW debut for Emory and Scott. Marq Quen and Isiah Kassidy isolated Scott and used it to their advantage. Emory tried to clean house after a hot tag, but Private Party stopped that very quickly and won after hitting Gin and Juice — their first of 2022 as they haven’t been in the ring together since September 2021.
Jay Lethal defeated Alexander Moss
Moss tried to ground Lethal, but the experience of the latter turned things around. Lethal went for a Macho Man-esque elbow drop, but Moss was able to kick out at the last second. The Lethal Injection gave him the win to keep his record spotless in the early goings of 2022.
Ruby Soho will return to action on Monday’s AEW Dark: Elevation in her first singles match since unsuccessfully winning the inaugural TBS title in the tournament final against Jade Cargill.
Soho will face Kenzie Paige in action taped last Wednesday in Raleigh, North Carolina.

A new match has been added to The Wrld on GCW, the company’s debut at the Hammerstein Ballroom.
Allie Katch will face Ruby Soho on January 23. The match was announced via video, which featured a monologue with Katch walking around New York talking about arriving at a destination, citing divine timing and saying that everything that happens in your life happens at the right moment, including dream matches. She said she had been wanting this match since learning to run the ropes. The end of the video had Katch finding graffiti of “SOHO” against a wall, and ended with her arrival at the Hammerstein Ballroom.
Two matches already announced for GCW’s Hammerstein Ballroom debut include Jonathan Gresham vs. Blake Christian for the ROH World title and a six-man tag match with Gringo Loco, Arez, and Demonic Flamita against Bandido, Laredo Kid, and ASF.
Soho is signed with AEW and most recently competed in the finals of the TBS Women’s title tournament, where she lost to Jade Cargill. She then teamed up with Riho to defeat Britt Baker and Jamie Hayter on last week’s episode of Rampage.
The finals of the TBS Championship tournament is set for next week.
Jade Cargill defeated Thunder Rosa to advance to the finals, which takes place on the first edition of Dynamite on TBS. The finish had a hooded figure attack Rosa while she was on the bottom rope recovering. This allowed Cargill to recover, grab Rosa, and pin her with the double underhook facebuster.
After the match, Rosa immediately attacked Cargill as she was celebrating. However, the hooded figure returned and laid out Rosa again. She unmasked to reveal herself as former NXT star Mercedes Martinez. Martinez and Cargill left together after Ruby Soho arrived to make the save. The announcers on commentary theorized that Martinez had aligned herself with Smart Mark Sterling and Cargill.
With the win, Cargill advances to the finals of the tournament, where she will face Soho. The winner will be crowned the first-ever TBS Champion, a new title in the AEW women’s division.
One half of the TBS Championship tournament finals are set.
Ruby Soho defeated Nyla Rose on tonight’s AEW Dynamite to advance to the finals. It was also announced tonight that the tournament finals will be held on the first Dynamite on TBS on Wednesday, January 5.
Soho will take on the winner of the Thunder Rosa vs. Jade Cargill semifinals match set for AEW Dynamite New Year’s Smash on Wednesday, December 29. Soho defeated Penelope Ford in the TBS tournament first round, then defeated Kris Statlander in the quarterfinals round.
After debuting in the Casino Battle Royale at the All Out pay-per-view in September, Soho challenged Britt Baker for the AEW Women’s World title at Dynamite Grand Slam later that month. She lost that match to Baker, which remains her only singles defeat in AEW.
The first Dynamite on TBS will also have an AEW World title rematch, with Hangman Page defending against Bryan Danielson. The two went to a one-hour draw at Winter is Coming last week.
With her win over Kris Statlander on Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite, Ruby Soho advanced to the semifinals of the TBS title tournament.
The two had a competitive, back and forth match. The finish had Soho go for what was formerly called the Riott Kick (now called the No Future), but Statlander blocked it and went for the Big Bang Theory. Soho then countered with a victory roll for the win.
With the win, Soho will now face Nyla Rose in the semifinals. Rose attacked Soho after the match, grabbing Soho and throwing her down to the floor. Statlander, who was distracted by Vickie Guerrero on stage, ran back to the ring as Rose bailed.
The other semifinal match of the tournament will have Thunder Rosa face Jade Cargill. In a segment on tonight’s Dynamite, Rosa confronted Cargill and told her that she would be doing commentary for Cargill’s match set for this Friday’s Rampage, as Cargill is set to take on one of Rosa’s students. Cargill didn’t seem impressed and walked away.
A quarterfinals matchup in the TBS Championship tournament will take place on next week’s AEW Dynamite.
Ruby Soho will face Kris Statlander in a quarterfinals match on the Wednesday, December 1 show. The winner will advance to the semifinals to face Nyla Rose.
Soho scored a first round win over Penelope Ford back on October 23 to advance in the tournament. Statlander earned a bye to the quarterfinals by virtue of her standing in the AEW women’s division rankings.
Soho’s only AEW loss so far came in a Women’s World Championship match against Britt Baker at Dynamite Grand Slam in September.
The other semifinals match is also set, as Thunder Rosa defeated Jamie Hayter on this week’s Dynamite in Chicago to advance. Rosa will face Jade Cargill in the semifinals. Cargill also received a first round bye due to her place in the rankings, then advanced to the semifinals with a win over Red Velvet on the November 19 episode of AEW Rampage.
More matches for next week’s Dynamite will be announced during AEW Rampage Black Friday.
