Roxanne Perez: Judgment Day is ‘one of the biggest factions in WWE history’

Roxanne Perez is grateful to be part of Judgment Day — a faction she believes is one of the biggest in WWE history.

Perez, a two-time NXT Women’s Champion, was officially called up to the WWE main roster this May and joined Judgment Day in June. She’s tag team partners with Raquel Rodriguez, with Perez replacing Liv Morgan after Morgan was forced out of action due to injury.

While speaking with Chris Van Vliet on a new episode of Insight, Perez reflected on joining Judgment Day.

“So much, so much,” she responded when asked what the faction has done for her career. “I think it’s like the perfect way for me to come into the main roster, especially with the history they have. And I think it’s one of the biggest factions in WWE history. They’ve been able to do so much in such a short amount of time.”

Perez said she feels comfortable being part of Judgment Day and is having a lot of fun being a heel. One of the benefits of being in the group is that you’re included in so many segments on Raw, though that can make for some busy TV days.

“Sometimes it’s like — go, go go, especially being a part of The Judgment Day,” Perez said. “I didn’t realize how many segments they have. And it’s like you’re in all of them, you’re in the guys’ segments, the guys gotta be in the girls’ segments. So it’s like all of us getting on the same page. And being like, ‘Well, the guys aren’t ready yet.’ ‘Okay, well the girls aren’t ready yet.’ It’s a lot, but I’m having so much fun. I love it.”

Perez, Rodriguez, Finn Balor, Dominik Mysterio, JD McDonagh, and Morgan are the current members of Judgment Day. WWE hopes that Morgan will be able to return from injury in the beginning of 2026. It remains to be seen whether Morgan will remain a heel or turn babyface upon her return.

When asked about her future goals, Perez said becoming a grand slam champion and main eventing WrestleMania are two things she wants to accomplish before the end of her career.

“I need to main event WrestleMania,” the 23-year-old Perez said. “That will just top off everything. And I’m sure you know, like, everybody does say that. If that’s not your goal — I don’t know, what are you doing? I have a feeling that it’ll happen.”

Roxanne Perez, Raquel Rodriguez comment on WWE running fewer house shows

The now-former WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions would like WWE to run more live events.

Roxanne Perez and Raquel Rodriguez were guests on Cheap Heat with Peter Rosenberg recently. Rodriguez was asked if she misses working house shows like she did when first called up to the main roster in 2022.

“A big part of me, actually,” she responded. “We just did a big super show in Texas and we had that little loop, which was really cool and fun cause we got to go to our hometowns. We just did a super show in Mexico, in Mexico City and Monterrey. And it was again, the hottest crowds that we’ve been in front of.”

“I do miss them. I feel like there are missed opportunities,” she continued. “Being a part of the fans, bettering ourselves as a tag team, working together and getting those reps that we haven’t had before. And so I think we should do more of them.”

Perez added, “It’s definitely nerve wracking to try things on live TV. So, it’s fun to be able to try things on live events.”

WWE announced last September that they planned to run fewer non-televised events. Not including NXT house shows in Florida, WWE has run 10 non-televised events so far in 2025. Six of those were on the European tour in March, another two were in Texas last month, and then last weekend’s shows in Mexico. The company has five European live events scheduled for this month leading to Clash in Paris and two scheduled for Tokyo, Japan at Sumo Hall in October.

Roxanne Perez and Raquel Rodriguez’s full appearance on the Cheap Heat with Peter Rosenberg podcast is available below:

Raquel Rodriguez & Roxanne Perez recognized as WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions

We now know what’s going on with the Women’s Tag Team titles.

After weeks of uncertainty, WWE clarified the status of the titles on Raw. Backstage, new World Tag Team Champions JD McDonagh and Finn Balor talked to Nick Aldis and Adam Pearce. Balor suggested that since Raquel Rodriguez had worked so hard to keep the Tag Team titles, she should be able to keep them with a new tag team partner, suggesting Roxanne Perez. After Pearce and Aldis briefly talked to one another they agreed to the plan, officially recognizing Rodriguez and Perez as Women’s Tag Team Champions.

The segment ended, however, with the GMs agreeing that the champions would have to prove their worth by defending the titles in a four-way match with teams from Raw, SmackDown, and NXT at WWE Evolution on July 13.

In a backstage segment later in the show, Raquel Rodriguez seemed hesitant to fully accept Perez as her new partner, noting that Morgan was already doing rehab. Balor said that rehabbing a shoulder injury would be hard work and all he wanted out of this was to see Rodriguez remain champion. A reluctant Rodriguez eventually agreed to the new situation.

Morgan suffered the shoulder injury minutes into a match with Kairi Sane on the June 16 episode of Raw. It was revealed last week that she has already undergone surgery.

    • To have the name prodigy on my back, it was definitely kind of hard mentally because it was like, well, am I ‘The Prodigy’ when I’m surrounded by all of these people? I really had to kind of find that confidence in me and realize, no, yeah, I am. Just because I’m surrounded by these people that I’ve watched growing up doesn’t mean that I can’t be on the same level as them.

Rhea Ripley, Roxanne Perez qualify for WWE Money in the Bank

Two more wrestlers have qualified for the women’s ladder match set for WWE Money in the Bank.

Rhea Ripley and Roxanne Perez became the latest wrestlers to qualify for the Saturday, June 7 event with wins in triple threat qualifying bouts on Monday’s WWE Raw episode.

Ripley was victorious in a three-way over Kairi Sane and Zoey Stark on Monday’s show. The match was paused mid-way when Stark appeared to suffer a serious knee injury and had to be carried out of the arena by medical personnel. The match re-started as a Ripley-Sane singles contest, with Ripley pinning Sane after a Riptide.

Earlier on Raw, the newest official member of the Raw roster Perez won a three-way over Natalya and Becky Lynch to punch her ticket to the June 7 ladder match. Women’s Intercontinental Champion Lyra Valkyria interfered in the match to take out Lynch, with Perez pinning Natalya to advance.

Alexa Bliss became the first star to qualify for the women’s Money in the Bank ladder match on Friday’s SmackDown. Three more wrestlers will fill out the field for the ladder match. The Money in the Bank winner will earn a contract good for a championship match of their choosing good for up to one year.

Solo Sikoa is the lone qualifier on the men’s side to this point. Qualifying matches will continue on Friday’s SmackDown, as well as next Monday’s Memorial Day Raw.

WWE Money in the Bank, Saturday, June 7 —

  • Women’s Money in the Bank ladder match: Alexa Bliss vs. Rhea Ripley vs. Roxanne Perez vs. TBD vs. TBD vs. TBD
  • Men’s Money in the Bank ladder match: Solo Sikoa vs. TBD vs. TBD vs. TBD vs. TBD vs. TBD

Roxanne Perez officially joins WWE Raw roster

Roxanne Perez is officially called up to the main roster.

It was announced on social media shortly before Raw that the former NXT Women’s Champion has been called up to Raw. In a video, Raw GM Adam Pearce was seen handing Perez a contract, which she signed. She will take part in a triple threat Money in the Bank qualifier on Monday, facing Natalya and Becky Lynch.

Perez’s official call-up had been months in the making, as she made main roster appearances at the Royal Rumble and also qualified for the WWE Elimination Chamber in February. Following WrestleMania, she and Giulia formed a short-term alliance to go after Rhea Ripley and IYO SKY. After they lost a tag match to SKY & Ripley on last week’s Raw, Giulia officially ended their team, later becoming the newest member of the SmackDown roster.

After a notable run in Ring of Honor and becoming the first ROH Women’s Champion, Perez signed with WWE in 2022 and quickly established herself as a top star on the brand, winning the NXT Women’s Championship on two occasions and the NXT Women’s Tag Team titles with Cora Jade.

Two Money in the Bank qualifying matches official for WWE Raw

Money in the Bank qualifying will continue with two more triple threat matches on Raw tonight.

Both of the qualifiers that have been announced for tonight are women’s division matches. The returning Kairi Sane will face Rhea Ripley and Zoey Stark in one of the triple threat bouts. The other qualifier will feature Becky Lynch, Roxanne Perez, and Natalya.

Sane is competing for the first time since suffering a torn thumb ligament in December 2024. Earlier this afternoon, WWE posted a social media video teasing that she would be returning tonight.

Tonight’s winners will join Alexa Bliss as the first three names confirmed for the women’s MITB ladder match. Bliss defeated Michin and Chelsea Green on SmackDown last Friday to qualify. Solo Sikoa also became the first wrestler to qualify for the men’s ladder match with a victory over Rey Fenix and Jimmy Uso.

Money in the Bank is taking place at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California on Saturday, June 7.

Here is everything that’s been announced for tonight’s Raw:

A new match has been announced for Monday’s episode of Raw.

WWE Women’s World Champion IYO SKY will face Roxanne Perez on the show. General Manager Adam Pearce made the announcement in a video published Sunday. The match comes after SKY rescued Rhea Ripley from a two-on-one attack by Perez and Giulia on last week’s Raw. The two were also on opposite sides of a tag match on NXT, where SKY and Jordynne Grace defeated Perez and Giulia.

Pearce also revealed that Becky Lynch will call out Lyra Valkyria on Monday as they prepare for their WWE Women’s Intercontinental title match at Backlash this Saturday.

This week’s Raw takes place from the CHI Health Center in Omaha, Nebraska.

WWE Raw lineup for Monday, May 5

  • JD McDonagh vs. Penta

WWE NXT live results: Stand & Deliver fallout in Las Vegas

WWE has one more event in Las Vegas before WrestleMania week officially wraps up.

NXT is taking place live from the Fontainebleau Hotel tonight. Along with the fallout from Stand & Deliver, the episode is set to feature three title matches. The NXT Women’s Championship, WWE Women’s Tag Team titles, and Heritage Cup will be on the line.

Stephanie Vaquer and Roxanne Perez will meet one-on-one for the first time ever. After Vaquer successfully defended her title at Stand & Deliver, Perez confronted her and issued an NXT Women’s Championship challenge. Perez and Giulia then beat down Vaquer and IYO SKY on Raw last night until Rhea Ripley put a stop to their attack.

Gigi Dolin & Tatum Paxley won a fatal four-way elimination match at Stand & Deliver to earn a WWE Women’s Tag Team title shot tonight. They’re getting their match tonight against Liv Morgan & Raquel Rodriguez, who won the belts back from Becky Lynch & Lyra Valkyria on Raw.

Plus, Lexis King will defend the Heritage Cup against a mystery opponent after magicians Penn & Teller made the trophy disappear.

Join us for live coverage starting at 8 p.m. Eastern time.

**********

NXT is on the air from what is billed as a five-star hotel that is called Fountainbleau Las Vegas. The show begins with a recap from Stand & Deliver.

WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Liv Morgan & Raquel Rodriquez defeated Gigi Dolan & Tatum Paxley to retain their titles

Morgan pinned Dolan to win the match and retain the tag titles. Dolan & Paxley earned the title bout after winning a four-way elimination tag team match on the pre-show for Stand & Deliver, only for Dolan & Paxley to lose here. Good opener, though. Subtle tease of trouble for Dolan & Paxley as teammates.

Paxley does a quebrada off the apron just before the show cuts the first commercial break. The challengers are standing tall when the show heads to commercial, but the champions are in control again when the show returns from the break.

Heat on Paxley, as the champs work her over. Liv with the Three Amigo suplexes and an Eddy Guerrero shimmy for Dirty Dom. Hot tag to Dolan, and she is a house of fire. Near fall for Dolan, but a moment later she and her partner Paxley nearly collide into each other. They stop short, only to get mowed down by a double lariat.

Paxley counters Gonzalez for a near fall, and then Dolan knocks down Gonzalez with a senton. Paxley follows up with a 450 splash. Liv breaks up the subsequent pinning attempt. The fight continues, but not for long.

Bling tag by the champs. Gonzalez powerbombs Dolan, and Liv follows up with her Oblivion finisher. Liv then covers Dolan for a three count. And still…

Penn & Teller cameo alongside Lexis King, who still has not gotten back his Heritage Cup trophy. In order for Penn & Teller to magically make the trophy reappear, King must agree that magic is real. King must also agree to defend the trophy tonight on NXT. King agrees, so Penn & Teller use a box gimmick to make the trophy reappear. King grabs his coveted trophy and clutches it to his chest. He is then informed his challenger tonight is a mystery opponent.

NXT North American Champion Ricky Saints is seen walking around backstage with his title belt on his shoulder. Saints is headed to the Gorilla Position for a monologue that is advertised as up next.

When the show returns from the break, clips highlight No Quarter Catch Crew at the Bloodsport show over the weekend.

Myles Borne of the Catch Crew then in a backstage skit agrees to team up with Je’Von Evans, which sets up a tag match tonight against Darkstate.

North American Champ Ricky Saints enters the ring for his monologue. Saints plays to the crowd and he talks about successfully defending the title against Ethan Page over the weekend.

Heritage Cup Champion Lexis King interrupts Saints, because in NXT no monologue can go uninterrupted. King and Saints cut promos on each other. This all leads to King challenging Saints to a title match for next Tuesday on NXT. King even agrees to put the Heritage Cup trophy on the line in a title vs. trophy match. Saints agrees to the challenge, but King first must retain against a mystery opponent.

The returning Noam Dar is the mystery surprise, as he returns looking to regain the Heritage Cup. The most decorated Heritage Cup champ, Dar, is back to take his crown.

Noam Dar defeated Heritage Cup Champion Lexis King to win the title

Dar pinned King after a back elbow strike, and Dar wins the trophy for the fourth time. This time in one fall no less. Dar was rather dominate, and he ran circles around King. Dar looked elated to be back.

Not sure where this leaves the title match with Saints for next week, except things are getting rather convoluted.

Sarah Screiber interviews Roxanne Perez, and Perez cuts a promo on NXT Women’s Champion Stephanie Vaquer. Perez vows to become champ for the third time.

Thea Hail defeated Fallon Henley (with Jacy Jayne & Jazmyn Nyz)

Hail submitted Henley with an armbar to win the match, which was rather short. Henley is great, but this was about getting Hail over and planting seeds of dissension in the Fatal Influence trio. Namely, Jayne accidentally costing Henley the match.

Henley has Hail in a full nelson when Jayne goes to kick Hail, but Hail ducks. Jayne boots Henley, who takes a bump into the ring steps. Henley sells big, as Hail rolls Henley back into the ring. Hail knocks down both Nyz and Jayne. then Hail applies her version of a Kimura lock. Henley taps out, and Hail wins via submission.

NXT Champion Oba Femi gets a full entrance with him wearing street clothes. Femi poses with his title belt before beginning a monologue.

Femi talks about retaining his title at Stand & Deliver in a triple threat match against Trick Williams and Je’Von Evans. Femi talks about doubting Evans, but Femi puts over Evans as a future star. Trick Williams on the other hand, Femi will not put him over. Instead, Femi cuts a promo on Trick.

Out comes Trick to confront Femi. Trick still wants his title back. They are soon interrupted by a surprise inter-promotional appearance.

TNA Champion Joe Hendry enters the scene. Hendry cuts a promo on Trick, and Trick responds with a promo on Hendry. This led to Hendry saying he as the TNA champ has business with the NXT champ. The two champs double team Trick.

Hendry and Femi pummel Trick, and they toss him out of the ring. Hendry and Femi then face off in a champion against champion showdown.

A pre-taped skit from the desert is a cinematic scene where Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo is met by Luca Crusifino.

WWE Tag Team Champs Liv Morgan & Raquel Gonzalez have words with Sol Ruca and Zaria in a backstage skit.

Trick Williams is freaking out backstage, and he is wrecking the place. The television feed cuts out amid the mayhem.

Dion Lennox & Osiris Griffin (with Darkstate) defeated Myles Borne & Je’Von Evans

This was a way to get Darkstate over, with limited success. Griffin pinned Borne to win the match, while Griffin is still nursing a hand injury suffered at Stand & Deliver. He is assisted with a double team powerbomb on Borne for the finish.

No Quarter Catch Crew are seen watching the match from the ramp, as their charge dropped the fall.

Yoshiki Inamura thanks NXT GM Ava for her support, as Inamura is sit to return to NOAH shortly. Inamura is upset he almost won the tag titles. In walks Josh Briggs, and Inamura gets so emotional that Ava books a return tag title match for them. After Ava leaves, Inamura reveals to Briggs his ploy was an old trick.

The pre-taped skit with The Family continues, as Tony D’Angelo comes to a hotel to meet with Adrianna Rizzo. They chat about the recent development with Stacks turning on “The Don” himself. This is very much soap opera. Maybe Granny can review it on the Bryan & Vinny Show. D’Angelo wants Rizzo to hide out until this all bows over.

Ricky Saints is interviewed by Sarah Screiber in a backstage area. Saints is confronted by Ethan Page, which is a distraction. Lexis King ambushes Saints with a sneak attacks. King blames Saints for losing the Heritage Cup trophy, but King is still challenging Saints for the North American title in a match set for next week.

NXT Champion Stephanie Vaquer defeated Roxanne Perez to retain her title

Vaquer pinned Perez clean after the STB finisher. They had a really good match. Perez should be headed to the main roster, as she is long overdue. In a cliffhanger ending, Jordynne Grace and Giulia are seen glaring at Vaquer as the show fades to black.
