WWE NXT live results: Halloween Havoc fallout, Tag Team Title Tuesday

The fallout from Halloween Havoc takes place on NXT tonight.

NXT Champion Bron Breakker and NXT Women’s Champion Mandy Rose kept their titles at Halloween Havoc, while Wes Lee was crowned the new NXT North American Champion. We’ll see if new challengers emerge tonight.

Tonight’s show is also Tag Team Title Tuesday. The women’s and men’s Tag Team titles will both be on the line. Zoey Stark & Nikkita Lyons are challenging NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions Katana Chance & Kayden Carter. NXT Tag Team Champions Pretty Deadly are defending their titles against Malik Blade & Edris Enofe.

After hosting Halloween Havoc, Shotzi will be in action against Lash Legend. Legend tried to interrupt Shotzi and Quincy Elliott at Saturday’s event, but Shotzi put a stop to that by laying her out with a DDT.

The newest member of Schism will also be unmasked tonight. Our live coverage begins at 8 p.m. Eastern time.

**********

After a highlight recap of Halloween Havoc, the show is opening with a tag team title match. The participants are already in the ring for the pre-match introductions.

NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions Kayden Carter & Katana Chance defeat Nikkita Lyons & Zoey Stark to retain their titles

Chance pins Lyons for the champs to retain. A Dusty finish teased a title change, but the match is restarted. The champs then go on to retain the belts.

The defending champions continue to adopt what on commentary is called a “more aggressive” style. They still do flashy moves, but they are subtle heels in this bout between two babyface teams. Shades of grey, or something like that.

The challengers look strong as the show cuts to a commercial break. The champs regain control during the break, but Lyons comes back when the show returns. She is soon cut off, but not before she give Chance a hard slam.

Hot tag to Stark, and she is a house of fire. Starks gets a few near falls before she clotheslines Carter over the ropes. They seemingly were both supposed to go over the ropes like a Cactus Jack clothesline, because Stark jumps over the ropes after not initially going over. This was so she could skin the cat back into the ring, where Stark rolls up Chance with a schoolgirl. Stark scores a pinfall, but it would count.

Stark & Lyons celebrate in the ring, as a second referee comes into the ring to overturn the call. The second ref, who is apparently the “head referee,” informs Taylor of the Dusty finish. Taylor announces the match must continue because of an unseen tag.

The match restarts with a slugfest, and the fight is on again. Lyons gets a near fall that is broken up, and Lyons then takes Carter & Chance’s tandem finisher. Chance covers Lyons for a deciding pinfall, and the champs retain their titles.

Ilja Dragunov cuts a promo on JD McDonagh in a vignette. This builds to Dragunov against McDonagh in a bout tonight, which comes off both failing to win the NXT title at Halloween Havoc in a triple threat match.

T-Bar is getting a new gimmick, as a clip shows him burning his mask. Formerly in NXT under the Dominik Dijakovic moniker, he is set to return to the developmental brand.

R-Truth cameo appearance sets up match for next week

New NXT North American Champion Wes Lee heads to the ring for his first appearance since winning the title last Saturday.

The live studio audience chants that he deserves it. Lee thanks the fans for their support, and he talks about some of his struggles in his journey to the championship.

Lee talks about being grateful, and he thanks the fans. Lee goes on to talk about his plans, but he is interrupted by Grayson Waller.

Waller gets into the ring to confront Lee, but there is another interruption. R-Truth enters the soundstage to a big pop. He does the “what’s up” call and response with the studio audience.

Truth welcomes everyone to Halloween Havoc, which is a joke since that took place on Saturday. Waller interrupts Truth, and Truth compliments his British accent. That is another joke, as Waller is Australian.

Waller informs Truth that Havoc happened three days ago. Truth busts out laughing, but Lee assures Truth the card was days ago. Truth clowns on Waller for losing in casket match on Saturday.

Waller challenges Truth to a match next Tuesday, and R-Truth accepts the challenge. Waller tries a cheap shot on Truth, but Waller is thwarted by Truth and Lee. Truth tosses Waller out of the ring, and Truth tells Waller he will see him next week.

Edris Enofe tries to hype up of Malik Blade with lyrics from an Eminem song. It works, as they are hyped to get a tag title match later on tonight.

McKenzie Mitchell interviews Apollo Crews, and Crews is putting Grayson Waller behind him (after Crews beat Waller on Saturday in a casket match). Crews says NXT Champion Bron Breakker returns to the show next week, and Crews is interested in what Breakker has to say. Previously, there was a tease of Crews challenging Breakker. That looks like a possible direction.

Shotzi Blackheart defeats Lash Legend

Blackheart pins Legend in a short match.

Quincy Elliott is at ringside, after being involved in an angle that set up this match. He briefly gets involved with a staredown with Legend when teh fight spills outside the ring

Balckheart delivers her DDT finisher called “Never Wake Up,” and she covers Legend for a pinfall. Elliott celebrates with Blackheart after the match.

Julius & Brutus Creed are heading to the ring, as Brutus is supposed to get five minutes against Damon Kemp (based on a stipulation from a match on Saturday).

The Creed Brothers get in the ring for a promo. Julius talks about being in pain after his win on Saturday when he defeated Damon Kemp. Julius’ hands are bruised and swollen from the match.

Brutus thanks his brother for what he did, as Brutus’ career was on the line. Julius won, so his brother thanks him for it. Brutus then yells that it is now his turn, and Brutus calls out Kemp.

Kemp appears on a video screen. This is a swerve, as Kemp informs the Creeds he is not medically cleared to compete tonight. Suddenly, there is a sneak attack.

Veer & Sanga ambush the Creeds with a blindside attack. Veer & Sanga beat them down. Sanga pauses briefly, as if he is second guessing the attack. Sanga then attacks again, and he delivers a chokeslam.

Veer & Sanga leave the ring with the Creeds down selling the attack. Ivy Nile walks out to confront Veer & Sanga. Nile yells at them, “Why?” Nile then goes to check on the Creeds.

Toxic Attraction are facetiming each other. NXT Women’s Champion Mandy Rose announces that next week they will celebrate the one year anniversary of her title reign.

NXT Tag Team Champions Pretty Deadly (Kit Wilson & Elton Prince) defeat Edris Enofe & Malik Blade

Wilson pins Blade to win the match.

The challengers start off strong with a flurry of offense at the start. The champs cut them off, but the challengers soon fight back. The challengers are standing tall as the show goes to a commercial break.

Having turned the tide, the champs are working over Enofe when the show returns from the break. Hot tag to Blade, and he runs wild. Blade then does a huge dive over the ropes to the floor.

Blade gets a near fall after flying crossbody. Blade is soon cut off following a bling tag by Pretty Deadly. The two teams continue to trade near falls.

“Boo/yay” chants during a slugfest, and the trading of near falls goes on. Pretty Deadly attempts their Spilt Milk finisher, but Blade counters for a good false finish.

For the finish, Enofe is neutralized. That left Blade alone in the ring, and he takes Spilt Milk. Wilson then cradles Blade for a pinfall, and the champs retain the titles.

JD McDonagh in a vignette cuts a promo on Ilja Dragunov ahead of their match tonight.

McKenzie Mitchell interviews Zoey Stark in a locker room. Stark is upset over losing the title match earlier in the show. Nikkita Lyons rushed in to apologize for the loss, but Stark assures her it was not Lyons’ fault. Stark vows to win the titles in a rematch.

Here comes The Schism. Oh joy. Anyway, they all get into the ring wearing drama masks. Joe Gacy takes off his mask, and he begins to cut a promo. He usually talks a lot, but he keeps it short tonight as The Dyad also say a few words before the unveiling of the newest member of their group. Their promos play on the words written on their respective mask.

This all leads to the newest member of Scism being revealed as Ava Raine (Simone Johnson).

Sol Ruca is doing an interview backstage when she is interrupted by Indi Hartwell. This leads to a match up next.

A voice message left at the Performance Center has an ominous warning from someone named Scrypts, who threatens to rip NXT apart. The voice reminds me of the Black Scorpion in WCW.

 Indi Hartwell defeats Sol Ruca

An aggressive Hartwell pins Ruca in a short match. Hartwell shows a lot of fire and viciousness.

Elektra Lopez runs in after the match, and she attacks both Hartwell and Ruca. Lopez lays out Ruca, and Lopez says warns the roster she is back.

Chase University is the setting of a pre-taped skit. Bodhi Hayward is absent from a class, but Duke Hudson is there to take his seat, much to the chagrin of Thea Hail. Andre Chase is giving a lecture when Hail’s pen stops working. Hudson gives her his pen. Chase yells at him for not having a pen to take notes. Hail tries to take up for Hudson, but he insists in taking the heat. Hudson then steals another student’s pen.

Roxanne Perez in a vignette reflects on her grudge match against Cora Jade, where Perez defeated Jade at Halloween Havoc.

JD McDonagh defeats Ilja Dragunov

McDonagh wins via referee stoppage in what is by far the best match on the show. An injured Dragunov is caught in a submission at the finish, but he refuses to tap.

Dragunov jumps McDonagh before the bell sounds to start the match. This leads to them exchanging chops and strikes. Dragunov goes into the match with taped ribs, and McDonagh targets the injury during the bout.

Sent sailing off the apron, Dragunov crashes into the announce desk. He lands on his injured ribs, and medical staff rush in to check on him. Dragunov is pleading with them to let him continue the match as the show goes into its final commercial break.

McDonagh is working over Dragunov as the show returns from the break. Dragunov fights back, but he continues to sell his ribs. Dragunov fights through the injury, and he executes a superplex.

Dragunov briefly falls to his knees selling his injury. He rises to his feet with a look of rage in his eyes. He charges towards McDonagh, only for McDonagh to counter him. McDonagh applies a crossface that also targets the injured ribs. Dragunov refuses to tap, but the referee stops the match. Despite Dragunov being bloody, he never quit.

Dragunov is carried from the ring on a stretcher as the show closes.

New Tag Team title number one contenders crowned on WWE NXT

Nikkita Lyons and Zoey Stark are the new number one contenders to the WWE NXT Women’s Tag Team Championships.

Lyons and Stark defeated Toxic Attraction’s Gigi Dolin and Jacy Jayne in a number one contenders match on Tuesday’s WWE NXT, putting themselves next in line for a shot at Katana Chance and Kayden Carter’s titles.

No date has been announced for the future title match.

Lyons, Stark, and Alba Fyre had been announced as facing Dolin, Jayne, and Mandy Rose in a trios match on Tuesday’s NXT show, but Rose and Fyre were taken out of the match in an angle.

In the angle, Fyre attacked the Toxic Attraction in the NXT parking lot with a baseball bat. After using the bat on Dolin and Jayne, Fyre carjacked the SUV that Toxic Attraction arrived in and drove off, presumably kidnapping Rose. Fyre challenging Rose for the NXT Women’s Championship looks to be in the cards, perhaps for Halloween Havoc on October 22.

WWE NXT live results: Toxic Attraction vs. Fyre, Lyons & Stark

Cold open, meaning no introductory video package aside from the Together montage that opens every WWE show.

Fresh look from the start with a new commentary combination for the night. Wade Barrett introduces Byron Saxton and Sudu Shah.

Barrett says Vic Joseph is not there tonight, because he is “stuck in immigration.” Joseph recently got married to McKenzie Mitchell in Italy, but that was not mentioned on the show. Joseph will be back soon on commentary.

New white and gold graphics as part of the new color scheme. Same for the soundstage, as the set is upgraded with the updated color scheme on the ring skirt and posts. The set design is otherwise essentially the same.

The British are coming … and so are The Brawling Brutes

NXT Tag Team Champions Pretty Deadly come out dressed like Redcoats of British Colonial times. It is time for the “State of the Commonwealth Address” from Pretty Deadly.

This is rather silly. They crack jokes and such. Everything is tongue and cheek, and seemingly played for laughs. Lord Steven Regal and Sir Robert Eaton did this gimmick far better as The Blue Bloods.

Pretty Deadly cuts a promo on the NXT tag division. To me this was dying a death, until they are interrupted by a surprise appearance.

The Brawling Brutes from Smackdown interrupt Pretty Deadly’s promo. Ridge Holland and Butch are here to confront the NXT tag champs after Pretty Deadly tweeted jokes about Sheamus.

Pretty Deadly claim they were hacked, but the Brutes are not buying that. They attack Pretty Deadly, and the Brutes are apparently looking for a title shot. Pretty Deadly powder and flee. This sets up a tag title match as tonight’s main event.

Just as the angle is over, out comes Carmelo Hayes and Trick Williams. Hayes is set for action in the opening match on tonight’s card. But first, another angle.

Alba Fyre attacks Toxic Attraction

A skit from earlier today is set in what is referred to on commentary “the most dangerous place in NXT,” meaning the parking lot. A lot of angles and attacks do take place there.

The skit spoofs the infamous angle from Jim Crockett Promotions, where the Horsemen ambush Dusty Rhodes with a baseball bat in a parking lot.

Toxic Attraction arrives in a SUV, and they are attacked with a baseball bat by Alba Fyre. She hits Jacy Jayne and Gigi Dolan with the bat. Fyre then gets into the SUV and speeds away. This changes the advertised six-woman tag match.

Carmelo Hayes (with Trick Williams) defeats Oro Mensah

Hayes pins Mensah in a good match.

Mensah is getting to shine when Williams jumps on the apron to interfere. Mensah knocks Williams off the apron with a kick, but the distraction allows Hayes to deliver a codebreaker.

Hayes then climbs the turnbuckles, and he leaps off the top rope with a guillotine legdrop. A three count later, and Hayes wins the match.

Hayes grabs a headset after the match, as he is joining commentary for the next match. He is going to see who else is joining him for the ladder match at Halloween Havoc.

Andre Chase (with Bodhi Hayward & Thea Hail) defeats Von Wagner (with Mr. Stone) in a North American Championship Qualifying Match

Wagner pins Chase. Thus, Wagner qualifies for the five-way ladder match at Halloween Havoc for the NXT North American Championship

During the match, Mr. Stone as an altercation with Chase U. Stone takes the Chase U flage from Hayward, and Stone hurls the flag onto the floor. Thea Heal in retaliation, bodyslams Stone on the floor at ringside.

Chase beams with pride at his students, but he takes his attention off Wagner. False finish as they play off the ending of the first match on the show. This time around, there is a counter after the distraction. Chase counters for  two count. From there they head home.

Although Chase gets a near fall, he then turns around and eats a big boot from Wagner. Chase is dropped by the high kick, and Wagner covers him for a pinfall.

Wagner is added to the ladder match at Halloween Havoc.

Hayes is talking trash on commentary when he is attacked by Wes Lee. Referee separate Lee and Hayes in a pull-apart brawl.

Veer Mahaan joins Sanga backstage during a pre-taped skit. They both are wearing very nice suits.

In another skit from “earlier today” (even though it was filmed at night), Grayson Waller arrives at the building driving a Hummer, and he meets with his security detail.

Wendy Choo defeats Lash Legend

Choo pins Legend in a return match from a previous episode. Choo gets the win this time around.

For the finish, Legend misses a pump kick. Choo counters with kicks of her own. Choo climbs to the top turnbuckle and she leaps into a super Vader splash. Choo then wins via pinfall.

Kelly Kincaid is interviewing Wes Lee backstage when Lee is confronted by Channing “Stacks” Tatum. Stacks looks to avenge Tony D’Angelo, who was injured in a match with Lee on a previous episode of NXT. The confrontation her tonight sets up a match next Tuesday with Lee against Stacks.

Gallus in a video package warns they will soon return to NXT. They are suspended in storyline.

NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions Kayden Carter & Katana Chance are featured in a vignette.

Zoey Stark & Nikkita Lyons defeats Toxic Attraction (Gigi Dolan & Jacy Jayne) in a number one contenders match

Lyons pins Dolan. In winning, Lyons & Stark become the next challengers for the NXT Women’s Tag Team Championship.

The match goes through a commercial break, as they are given plenty of time. They build to a hot tag after the break. The heels work over Lyons, until she tags out. Stark runs wild on Toxic Attraction, and the babyface team is making a comeback.

Several near falls where the tag partner jumps in to make save by breaking the count. Toxic Attraction go for a tandem finisher, but Lyons trips Jayne. Stark & Lyons both then deliver their finishing moves.

Stark with her version of a GTS, and Lyons does the splits into a legdrop. Lyons then covers Dolan for a pinfall.

Ilja Dragunov is featured in a great vignette building up the NXT Championship match at Halloween Havoc, where Dragunov and JD McDonagh challenge NXT Champion Bron Breakker in a triple threat match.

The Grayson Waller Effect with faceoff between Cora Jade and Roxanne Perez

Basically a modern day Piper’s Pit, and the guests this week are bitter rivals. Cora Jade and Roxanne Perez meet in a face-to-face confrontation. They sit down opposite each other at a desk, with Waller seated between them.

There is lots of bickering, including from Grayson Waller. He announces a match a Halloween Havoc with Perez against Jade. Waller also adds a Spin the Wheel, Make the Deal stipulation.

Waller goes on to declare he will spin the wheel right now to decide the stip at Halloween Havoc. Waller tells his security detail to stay with Jade and Perez, seemingly to keep the peace.

Waller spins the gimmicked wheel, and it lands on a “Weapons Wild Match,” whatever that means. Meanwhile, Perez and Jade get into a pull-apart melee.

Apollo Crews suddenly appears at ringside, and Crews drags Waller underneath the ring. Waller crawls back out with his eye bleeding.

Julius Creed defeats Duke Hudson

Creed pins Hudson in a short match. Julius looks dominate before landing a sliding lariat, and he then covers Hudson for a pinfall.

This was set up earlier in the show when Hudson confronted Creed in a backstage skit. No other members of Diamond Mine are at ringside, per Julius’ request. He wanted it win all on his own.

Brutus Creed runs out after the match, and he attacks Hudson. Ivy Nile and Julius have to pull Brutus off Hudson to end the beatdown.

Suddenly, Damon Kemp interrupts from a perch overlooking the ring. The Creeds and Kemp cut bad promos on each other, leading to Kemp saying Brutus is “my bitch.” This of course angers Brutus greatly, and he is restrained by his brother and Ivy Nile.

Kemp proposes a stipulation for his upcoming match against Julius. Kemp agrees to give Brutus a rematch with him if Julius can beat Kemp, under one other condition. If Julius loses to Kemp, then Brutus must leave NXT.

Julius adds another stip, making the match an ambulance match. Stips galore in this match at Halloween Havoc.

JD McDonagh is the focus of a vignette that hypes the triple threat title match at Halloween Havoc.

Hank Walker is getting a pep talk from his fellow security guards ahead of Walker’s match tonight.

Axiom is featured in a video package that build up the third match in the best of three series with Nathan Frazier. The deciding match in the series takes place next week.

Xyon Quinn defeats Hank Walker

Walker in storyline was just signed a contract with the NXT brand, so he now has music and a full-fledged entrance.

Much like Jerry Lawler pulling down the straps on his singlet, Walker rips his shirt off before he fires up.

Walker makes a comeback on Quinn, but Walker is soon cut off. Quinn delivers a Tito Santana flying forearm smash, and he covers Walker for a three count.

Quinn goes to attack Walker again after the match, but Quincy Elliott makes a save as he confronts Quinn in the ring. Quinn backpedals and leaves the ring. This makes Walker and Elliott friends now in storyline.

Cameron Grimes is attacked by The Schism in a backstage assault. Grimes is beaten with a trash can, after being set up by a mystery person wearing a red hoodie. After the hooded person lures Grimes into a trap, Joe Gacy welcomes that person into his cult.

In yet another skit, NXT Champion Bron Breakker challenges Javier Bernal to match for next Tuesday on NXT. A cocky Bernal interrupts an interview with Breakker, so Breakker says he is requesting a match for next week.

NXT Tag Team Champions Pretty Deadly (Elton Prince & Kit Wilson) defeat The Brawling Brutes (Ridge Holland & Butch) to retain their titles

Pretty Deadly retain the titles after interference by Imperium.

Decent enough match, although it was missing something. Maybe it was just overbooked, like much of the show. There were several great near falls.

Imperium interfere, which costs the Brutes the match. Pretty Deadly execute their Spilt Milk finisher, and Prince pins Holland to win the match.

The Brawling Brutes and Imperium brawl their way out of the soundstage. My guess is they fight all the way to Smackdown on Friday.

Edris Enofe & Malik Blade enter the soundstage after the match for a staredown with the tag champs. Pretty Deadly had mentioned Enofe & Blade in their promo earlier in the show.

Josh Briggs & Brooks Jensen also show up on a perch overlooking the ring. This seems to set up a triple threat tag match, but nothing is made official. The show closes with the three-way standoff.

Overall, a very lackluster episode of NXT. A lot happened, but it was maybe too much at times.

Toxic Attraction replacing Stark & Lyons in WWE Women’s Tag Team title tournament

Update —

WWE has confirmed that Gigi Dolin & Jacy Jayne are replacing Zoey Stark & Nikkita Lyons in the Women’s Tag Team title tournament. Shawn Michaels said Stark was injured at NXT Heatwave and Lyons is “medically unavailable.”

Dave Meltzer reported that Stark’s injury is a concussion.

**********

A change has been made to the lineup for WWE’s Women’s Tag Team title tournament.

The first round of the tournament was supposed to conclude with NXT’s Zoey Stark & Nikkita Lyons facing Natalya & Sonya Deville on SmackDown tonight, but PWInsider reports that Toxic Attraction (Gigi Dolin & Jacy Jayne) will instead be facing Natalya & Deville in the match. PWInsider wrote that Lyons isn’t at SmackDown tonight.

On the latest edition of the Bryan & Vinny Show, Bryan Alvarez noted that he was told Stark was injured during her match against NXT Women’s Champion Mandy Rose at Heatwave this past Tuesday. Alvarez said he didn’t know how serious Stark’s injury was or how long she would be out of action, but he believed Stark & Lyons were out of the WWE Women’s Tag Team title tournament.

Dolin, Jayne, and Rose are all members of Toxic Attraction in NXT.

The winner of tonight’s tournament match will advance to face Raquel Rodriguez & Aliyah in the semifinals. IYO SKY & Dakota Kai vs. Asuka & Alexa Bliss is the semifinal match on the other side of the bracket.

Tonight’s SmackDown is being held at the Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. The show will feature a face-to-face segment with Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns and his Clash at the Castle challenger Drew McIntyre.

Nikkita Lyons return, three matches announced for next week’s WWE NXT

The return of Nikkita Lyons, along with three other matches, is set for next week’s NXT.

In addition to Lyons’ return, Indi Hartwell will face Kiana James, Kayden Carter and Katana Chance will face Cora Jade and Roxanne Perez in a number one contender’s match for the NXT Women’s Tag Team titles, and Sanga will face Xyon Quinn.

On tonight’s show, Perez and Jade came out to confront Toxic Attraction. Mandy Rose warned Perez not to challenge her. Perez said she had a swerve: she was going to use her NXT Breakout Tournament victory to team with Jade to challenge Jacy Jayne and Gigi Dolin for the NXT Women’s Tag Team titles. Carter and Chance came out and objected to their challenge. The two teams ended up getting into a brawl.

Hartwell and James also had a confrontation on tonight’s show, with James running down Hartwell, who eventually challenged James to a match for next week. Quinn and Sanga will meet after they confronted one that took place on last week’s show, with Sanga commenting that he had his next opponent.

Lyons will return from injury after having to be removed from the NXT Women’s Breakout Tournament. She had made it past the first round, but was replaced by Tiffany Stratton, who lost to Roxanne Perez in the finals.

The lineup for NXT next week so far:

  • Indi Hartwell vs. Kiana James
  • Katana Chance & Kayden Carter vs. Cora Jade & Roxanne Perez in a number one contenders match
  • Sanga vs. Xyon Quinn
  • Nikkita Lyons returns

WWE NXT’s Nikkita Lyons suffers partial MCL tear, sprain

WWE NXT’s Nikkita Lyons has suffered a partial MCL tear and sprain.

Lyons revealed the details of her injury in an Instagram Live post on Wednesday, a day after it was announced that she was being replaced in the NXT Women’s Breakout Tournament.

Lyons said that the injury will not require surgery, and that she has already begun rehabilitation work on her knee.

Fallon Henley, Nikkita Lyons advance in NXT Women’s Breakout Tournament

Fallon Henley and Nikkia Lyons have advanced in the NXT Women’s Breakout Tournament.

Tonight’s episode of NXT saw the start of the tournament. Henley defeated Sloane Jacobs in the first match, scoring the win following a shining wizard. Later in the show, Lyons defeated Arriana Grace, getting the win following a leaping leg drop.

Based on the brackets, Lyons will face Henley in the semifinals. The two remaining matches of the opening round will have Roxanne Perez taking on Kiana James and Lash Legend facing Tatum Paxley. The winners of those two matches will advance to the semifinals.

Lyons has been featured on NXT in recent months, most recently feuding with Lash Legend. Lyons teamed with Cora Jade to defeat Legend and Natalya on the May 5 edition of NXT. Henley has been associated with the tag team of Josh Briggs and Brooks Jensen, first appearing as a bartender in a bar they were in and later shown in backstage segments with the team.

WWE 205 Live results: Nikkita Lyons debuts

Edris Enofé defeated Guru Raaj

I’m running out of ways to say forgettable, especially in reference to 205 Live. This match was not bad, but painfully average.

Enofé started the match by taking Raaj to the mat. As things picked up, Raaj had some brief moments of offence, he landed a monkey flip and senton, but generally, Enofé was in control. A fisherman buster, spinebuster, and shooting star press led to the end of the bout in favour of Enofé.

Amari Miller defeated Nikkita Lyons

Everything in this match, every solitary moment, was gauche. Lyons is painfully green, as is Miller, so I guess this should be expected somewhat. But, with that being said, there were some interesting moments in this match. For example, the ragdoll choke was compelling; it just was done poorly.

A pre-taped Lyons promo aired before her debut. Not much was said, just a general, ‘I’m here, watch out’ type of thing.

Lyons started the match with an awkward grappling exchange. After Miller slipped free, the pair squared up in an even more awkward striking segment. Lyons pulled Miller’s feet, slamming Miller’s head into the bottom rope before locking in a choke.

Miller dropped Lyons after escaping the choke by pulling on her shoulders. Miller took advantage, landing a suplex and a knee strike that ended the match.

Dante Chen defeated Draco Anthony

This was another totally inoffensive, inconsequential match that the world will forget if they remember it to begin with.

Before his match, a pre-taped Chen promo played. He mentioned he was the first Singaporean in the WWE.

The match opened with meaningless chain wrestling before a forearm from Anthony initiated an offensive sequence in his favour. During this segment, Chen resisted but couldn’t actualise any real shifts in control.

Finally, Chen started to pick things up after landing a lariat. A pump kick, a slap across the chest, and a sitout butterfly cradle drop all in quick succession allowed Chen to pin Anthony to close the match.

Final Thoughts:

With another year of 205 Live in the books, I thought I’d reflect on the show. If one word describes 205 Live in 2021, it’s “forgettable”. Even after watching 50 episodes of the show this year, I can count on one hand the number of matches that left any kind of impression on me. In fact, 205 Live’s most notable moments were not during its airtime but after its roster was fired. Twice.

I’m honestly shocked that this show survived this year.

Nikkita Lyons to make WWE debut on 205 Live

This week’s 205 Live will feature the debut of a recent Performance Center signee.

Nikkita Lyons (real name Faith Jefferies) will have her first match for WWE on 205 Live this Friday night, facing Amari Miller. Lyons signed with WWE after taking part in this August’s tryouts in Las Vegas. She’s a Las Vegas native and is 22 years old.

Lyons formerly wrestled for WOW (Women of Wrestling) using the name “Faith the Lioness.” WWE filed a trademark for her new in-ring name earlier this month.

“Eagerly participating in singles matches as well as the tag team ranks, Miller has experienced her ups and downs since joining the revamped 205 Live, and she’ll now seek a crucial win against Lyons,” WWE.com wrote. “Primed for her WWE debut, Lyons is undoubtedly hungry for an immediate statement win.”

205 Live airs on Peacock/WWE Network at 10 p.m. Eastern time on Fridays. Draco Anthony vs. Dante Chen and Edris Enofe vs. Guru Raaj will also air on this week’s episode.
