TNA Impact live results: Masha Slamovich vs. NXT’s Jacy Jayne, Joe Hendry appearance

The women of WWE NXT take over tonight’s TNA Impact.

In a non-title match, NXT’s Jacy Jayne makes her promotional in-ring debut as she takes on reigning TNA Knockouts Champion Masha Slamovich in non-title action. Jayne attacked Slamovich last week after the champ’s confrontation with Tessa Blanchard.

NXT’s Gigi Dolin and Tatum Paxley will team up against Knockouts Tag Team Champions Ash & Heather by Elegance in non-title action in Dolin’s TNA debut.

TNA World Champion Joe Hendry will be on hand as we learn what’s next for him while former TNA World Champion Nic Nemeth will take on Leon Slater as the fallout from Sacrifice continues.

Chavo Guerrero Jr. will team with Laredo and Octagon Jr. against KC Navarro, AJ Francis and Frankie Kazarian. It will be Guerrero’s first TNA bout since 2019.

Former TNA World Champion Eric Young will battle former X-Division Champion Ace Austin to round out the card.

**********
Ash & Heather By Elegance (w/ George Iceman) defeated Gigi Dolin & Tatum Paxley

The usual recap video package covering highlights from last week’s show airs to get things started. We then see George Iceman in the ring being booed. He cuts a heel promo before doing his usual elegant personal ring introduction for TNA Knockouts Tag-Team Champions Ash & Heather By Elegance.

After the champions settle inside the squared circle for the opening contest, the entrance tune for their opposition hits. Out comes WWE NXT duo Gigi Dolin and Tatum Paxley. The bell sounds and non-title Knockouts tag-team action gets underway.

Ash and Dolin kick things off for their respective teams. “The Liaison” between WWE NXT and TNA, Arianna Grace, is on special guest commentary for this one. Ash talks some trash out of the gate, and gets dumped on her noggin’ by Doin for her efforts.

Paxley tags in and hits a picture-perfect dropkick for a two-count. Heather tags in as well, and she ends up shifting the offensive momentum into her team’s favor. As she takes over control in the ring, another WWE NXT duo, Jakara Jackson and Lash Legend, are shown watching on via a monitor backstage.

After Paxley lands some Kawada-style rapid-fire kicks, Dolin tags in. Heather immediately takes over, however, and tags in Ash, who picks up where she left off, putting the boots to Dolin in the corner. She tags Heather back in, and she blasts a groggy Dolin with some big forearm shots.

Heather backs up and charges at Dolin, but runs into a big boot. She tags Paxley in. Ash tags in as well. It is Paxley, however, who takes the hot tag and comes in with a ton of energy, taking it to Ash. She hits a big suplex and a standing elbow drop for a close two-count.

Iceman pushes Paxley off the top turnbuckle, which the referee doesn’t see. Heather gets involved as well, which sets Ash up for the top-rope Rarified Air finisher for the pinfall on Paxley, giving her team the win. Afterwards, the Elegance duo’s beefcake brings their cake over, but Dolin and Paxley shove their faces in it.

Gia Miller Interviews Leon Slater

Backstage, Gia Miller is standing by with her guest, Leon Slater. She brings up what happened with Nic Nemeth and Ryan Nemeth last week on the show. She also asks about his match against Nic later in the show. Slater vows to get his get-back. The show heads into a commercial break.

The Aztec Warriors (Laredo Kid & Octagon Jr.) & Chavo Guerrero Jr. defeated First Class (AJ Francis & KC Navarro) & Frankie Kazarian

When the show returns, First Class duo AJ Francis and KC Navarro are making their ring entrance, in progress. Their music dies down and the entrance tune for their partner hits, bringing out the self-proclaimed “King of TNA” Frankie Kazarian.

The Call Your Shot Gauntlet trophy owner settles inside the squared circle and his music dies down. The theme for their opposition hits, and out comes The Aztec Warriors team of Laredo Kid and Octagon Jr., as well as their partner, Chavo Guerrero Jr.

The El Paso legend gets a big pop coming out, and he kicks things off for his team. Kazarian does the same for his. Chavo establishes the early offensive lead, and the crowd is loving it. All hell breaks loose moments later, as all six end up in the ring.

The Aztec Warriors and Chavo hit high spots as the show heads to a mid-match commercial break. When the show returns, First Class takes over after Navarro pulls some behind-the-referee’s back shenanigans. Francis takes over and taunts the crowd.

Octagon tries fighting back, but Francis splashes him in the corner. Francis hits the World’s Strongest double-slam on Laredo Kid and Octagon Jr. simultaneously for a close two-count, as the pin is broken up. Navarro tags in and picks up where Francis left off, taking it to one-half of the Aztec Warriors.

Laredo Kid eventually gets the hot tag for his team, and he immediately shifts the offensive momentum back in his team’s favor. The crowd comes to life in the background. Navarro and Kazarian try and double-team him, but he ends up handling them both by himself. Fans chant “We want Chavo!”

And Laredo obliges. Chavo gets the tag and the crowd explodes as he hops over the ropes and goes to work. The pro wrestling legend hits any-and-everything that moves, easily handling Francis, Navarro and Kazarian single-handedly. Chavo hits the Three Amigos on Navarro as fans chant “Eddie! Eddie!”

Kazarian stops him before he can hit the third, so he takes over and hits two of the Three Amigos on him instead. When he goes for the third on him, Francis cuts him off. Francis does the Eddie Guerrero shoulder-shimmy to taunt the crowd, but Chavo makes him pay for it.

He hits the Three Amigos on him, and isn’t stopped before completing all three on the big man. The crowd loved it and immediately broke out in a loud “Eddie! Eddie!” chant. The Aztec Warriors go to the top on the same corner and hit a double-dive onto Francis and Kazarian on the floor.

Chavo hits the Gory Bomb on Navarro in the ring. He then heads to the top-rope and hits the Eddie Guerrero Frogsplash for the pinfall victory. Great feel-good stuff here in El Paso. The show heads to another commercial break.

War Of Words: Sami Callihan & Mance Warner

When the show returns, a Rosemary vignette in a very Rosemary-style, airs, and then a war of words between Mance Warner and Sami Callihan takes place.

Santino Marella points out how both are handcuffed and there are a ton of security present to ensure nothing physical happens. The two sit on opposite sides of a table, with Steph De Lander on Warner’s side, and they speak their respective pieces.

De Lander also speaks up and they talk about possession being nine-tenths the law when discussing their TNA Digital Media Championship. Santino Marella speaks up and says they need to promise not to damage anymore company property or put any civilians in danger.

Sami calls De Lander a skank. She throws a drink in his face, which he can’t cover due to his hands being cuffed. Santino yells at them to leave. Warner and De Lander profess their love for each other and share a sloppy kiss while doing exactly that. After this wraps up, the show heads to another commercial time out.

Masha Slamovich defeated Jacy Jane

The show returns to the theme of WWE NXT Superstar Jacy Jane playing. She makes her way out and heads to the ring for the second TNA vs. WWE NXT showdown of the evening.

Jane settles inside the squared circle and her music dies down. The theme for her opposition hits, and out comes the reigning TNA Knockouts Champion Masha Slamovich. Tom Hannifan mentions on commentary that she is over 100 days for her current run with the title.

After the bell sounds, Jane does a snarky wave to Slamovich from the opposite corner, before charging at her. The two lock up and push-and-pull on the ropes all around the ring. They continue their lock-up back in the center and Slamovich slams Jane down.

Jane locks back up on the mat and they roll around without breaking it. They stand back up, and Jane yanks Slamovich back down to the mat by her hair. Slamovich takes back over and hits a big kick and sends Jane out to the floor. She hits a dive through the ropes onto Jane at ringside.

Moments later, a similar situation presents itself, however this time when Slamovich goes for a big dive through the ropes to the floor, she is met with a big shot from Jane. After a big follow-up from Jane, she looks into the camera and vows that she’s going to take over TNA.

On that note, the show heads into a mid-match commercial break as Jane adds to her offensive lead back inside the ring. When the show returns, Slamovich begins fighting from underneath back into competitive form. Jane goes for a punt kick from the ring apron to Slamovich on the floor.

Slamovich blocked it and pulled Jane onto her shoulders. She slams her front-ways face-first onto the ring apron from the floor. Back inside the ring, Slamovich builds on her offensive lead en route to hitting a Snow Plow for the pinfall victory.

After the match, Tessa Blanchard, who was banned from ringside during the bout, runs out and beats down Slamovich until Xia Brookside and Lei Ying Lee run out to make the save, chasing her off and checking on the TNA Knockouts Champion. The show heads to another break.

Eric Young (w/ The Northern Armory) defeated Ace Austin

When the show returns, a vignette airs showing Mike Santana being out for revenge on Mustafa Ali. Back inside the Impact Zone, the theme for Eric Young hits. He makes his way out to the ring with The Northern Armory duo of Travis Williams and Judas Icarus.

Young settles inside the squared circle for a first-time-ever singles showdown against Ace Austin in the next match of the evening. After Young’s music dies down, the ABC entrance tune hits to bring out his opponent. He joins him in the ring and the bell sounds to get things started.

The two lock-up and Young establishes the early offensive lead, focusing on attempting to isolate the arm of Austin and work it over. He stops and looks directly into the camera to send a message to Steve Maclin. The Northern Armory get involved behind the referee’s back and Young continues to dominate.

Young continues to tie the referee up to allow The Northern Armory duo at ringside to inflict additional damage to Austin behind the official’s back. The commentary duo of Hannifan and Matthew Rehwoldt sell home the fact that it is Young proving to Maclin what true trust looks like.

Austin begins fighting back. He hits Click-Click-Boom to shift the offensive momentum in his favor. He climbs up on Young in the corner and hits the ten-punch sequence, with the fans counting along with each shot that lands. Austin hits a signature move for a close two-count.

Austin comes closer and closer to finishing Young off, but ultimately another dastardly demonstration of what true trust looks like from Young and The Northern Armory duo lead to Young taking over again. Young hits a big piledriver to finish Austin off for the win. The show heads to another break.

Musical Performances & Fights From Joe Hendry, Elijah & Frankie Kazarian

The show returns to the familiar sounds of the smash viral hit, “I Believe in Joe Hendry.” With that said, the crowd comes alive and sings along as the TNA World Champion makes his way to the ring in his trademark silky-blue button-up shirt.

His music dies down and the “We Believe!” chants pick up. Hendry begins, “Say his name, and he appears. Your TNA World Champion is here in El Paso, Texas! And it was right here in Texas that I became the champ, and now everybody wants to know what is next for the TNA World Championship.”

Hendry reminds everyone he is willing to defend his title against anyone from any company, all someone has to do is pick up the phone and tell Santino Marella they want a shot at the champion. The familiar sounds of the guitar strum of Elijah is heard after he says that.

Elijah comes to the ring and tells Hendry he is not coming out here because he is the next title challenger. He assures the champ that he too “believes in Joe Hendry.” Elijah assures him he can trust him. He says they’ve become friends. He knows Hendry’s favorite color is blue and that he likes classic movies.

He then goes on to suggest he perform the favorite song of Hendry from a movie he loves, Toy Story. He suggests they sing “You’ve Got A Friend In Me.” Elijah begins singing, Randy Newman-voice-and-all. The crowd sings along. Everyone is into it, so of course, Frankie Kazarian comes out to break up the fun.

Kazarian heads to the ring insisting no one wants to see “this Hall and Oats nonsense.” He settles inside the squared circle with a guitar of his own strapped around himself. He tells Hendry and Elijah they are legitimately accomplished musicians, but everybody knows “real men play bass guitar.”

Kazarian plays La Cucaracha on his bass for the El Paso crowd, who responds with loud “You suck!” chants. Kazarian plays another offensive song aimed at ridiculing the local crowd, and he gets the reaction one would expect for doing so. Hendry stands up for the crowd and tells Kazarian it’s time he leave.

Kazarian speaks up and tells Hendry he knows he doesn’t trust Elijah, and tells Elijah that he knows he secretly hates Hendry’s guts. He tells them they need to be men for once and skip past all the nonsense and just beat the crap out of each other now. They beat up Kazarian instead, and then sing “Na Na Hey Hey Goodbye.” Once this wraps up, the show heads into another commercial break.

Nic Nemeth defeated Leon Slater

It’s main event time!

After matches are announced for next week’s episode of the show (see below), things head back to the ring for the final match of this week’s program. Nic Nemeth’s entrance tune hits and out comes “The Wanted Man” himself with his little brother Ryan Nemeth.

The rookie sensation of TNA, Leon Slater, makes his way out next. The bell sounds and the main event of the evening gets underway. Nemeth takes the early offensive lead, stopping to taunt Slater and the crowd. Slater gets one big move in and takes the time to lean down and taunt Nemeth in return.

Slater blasts Nemeth with a big move off the ropes and then follows-up with a spinning elbow that sends the former TNA World Champion to the floor. Slater hits his trademark running turning dive over the ring post to the floor, splashing on Nemeth as the show heads into a mid-match commercial break.

When the show returns, we see Nemeth regained the offensive lead during the break. The crowd is jeering and booing as Nemeth slowly and arrogantly controls his younger opposition. Slater begins firing up and taking over. He struggles, however, to find a way to finish off the pro wrestling legend.

Nemeth slows Slater’s momentum down, taking out the knee of the young rising star. Slater is essentially on one leg now, with another bum wheel dragging next to him as he tries once more to fire up for another comeback.

“The Wanted Man” cuts it short and looks to try and finish Slater off, only for Slater to keep finding a way to hang in there. Nemeth brings Slater up to the top and climbs up after him. Slater fights him off and knocks him down. Slater teases a Swanton 450, but Nemeth crotches him instead.

Nemeth then follows that up with a super-plex. Nemeth tunes up the band in the corner, timing Slater for a superkick, but Slater avoids it and counters with a Twist of Slate. He climbs to the top-rope and leaps for his Swanton 450 splash, only to land on Nemeth’s raised knees.

Nemeth goes for the immediate cover, but somehow Slater kicks out. Nemeth looks for Danger Zone, but Slater avoids it. Ryan Nemeth grabs at Slater from ringside, but Slater kicks him off. The brief distraction was enough to set Nic up for another attempt at his Danger Zone finisher.

This time, Nemeth hits it and scores the pinfall for the main event victory. After the match, Ryan Nemeth joins his big brother in the ring to put the boots to Slater. The iconic sounds of The Hardys theme hits and out comes the TNA World Tag-Team Champions Jeff Hardy and Matt Hardy.

The Nemeth Brothers run off. Matt gets on the microphone and brings up Nic and Ryan calling themselves the best brother team in wrestling. Matt says they aren’t medically cleared yet, but challenges The Nemeth Brothers to face them at TNA Rebellion 2025. The Hardys tune hits again and the crowd roars as this week’s show wraps up on that note.

Next Week (4/3/2025):

Six-woman tag match added to WWE NXT Great American Bash week one

A new match announcement has been made for WWE NXT Great American Bash 2024.

Sol Ruca, Karmen Petrovic & Lola Vice will team up against the mean girl trio of Fallon Henley, Jacy Jayne & Jazmyn Nyx on NXT this Tuesday night. The episode is week one of NXT’s two-week Great American Bash special. Due to the Olympics, both Great American Bash episodes are airing on Syfy instead of USA Network.

Over the weekend, the heels posted a social media promo mocking Ruca & Petrovic for being a makeshift tag team of rookies. Henley & Jayne also complained about Lash Legend & Jakara Jackson getting a WWE Women’s Tag Team title shot. Henley, Jayne & Nyx threatened to take matters into their own hands

Legend & Jackson are challenging Alba Fyre & Isla Dawn for the WWE Women’s Tag Team titles at Great American Bash week one. Here’s the updated lineup for the episode:

  • NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez defends against Thea Hail
  • NXT Heritage Cup Champion Tony D’Angelo defends against Tavion Heights
  • WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Alba Fyre & Isla Dawn defend against Lash Legend & Jakara Jackson
  • Sol Ruca, Karmen Petrovic & Lola Vice vs. Fallon Henley, Jacy Jayne & Jazmyn Nyx
  • Ethan Page & Oro Mensah NXT Championship match contract signing
  • Joe Hendry concert

Tag team matched added to WWE NXT Heatwave kickoff

A tag team match has been announced for NXT Heatwave’s kickoff.

Arianna Grace and Karmen Petrovic will team up on Sunday to take on Jacy Jayne and Jazmyn Nyx. This follows an angle that took place on NXT.

Tuesday’s show saw Petrovic trying to cheer up Grace after she lost to Sol Ruca last week. Jayne and Nyx walked in and started taunting both women. Petrovic challenged Nyx to a match later in the night. Nyx won the match after Jayne caused a distraction.

Backstage, Ava told Petrovic about the match at Heatwave. Grace entered Ava’s office and revealed herself as Petrovic’s partner, which Petrovic didn’t seem thrilled about.

Here’s the updated lineup for NXT Heatwave this Sunday:

  • NXT Championship: Trick Williams defends against Ethan Page, Je’Von Evans, and Shawn Spears
  • NXT Tag Team titles: Nathan Frazer & Axiom defends against Chase U (Andre Chase & Duke Hudson)
  • NXT North American Championship: Oba Femi defends against Wes Lee
  • NXT Women’s Championship: Roxanne Perez defends against Lola Vice
  • NXT Women’s North American Championship: Kelani Jordan defends against Sol Ruca
  • Kickoff: Arianna Grace & Karmen Petrovic vs. Jacy Jayne & Jazmyn Nyx

WWE NXT’s Jacy Jayne recovering following surgery for broken nose

Jacy Jayne is out of action.

On NXT, Jazmyn Nyx revealed that Jayne suffered a broken nose during her match against Thea Hail and recently underwent surgery. Photos of Jayne showed the extent of her injury. Nyx promised that she would do everything in her power to take care of Hail for what she did.

Jayne wrestled Hail on night two of NXT Spring Breakin on April 30. During the match, Hail kicked out of a cover and smacked Jayne’s face in the process, causing the injury. Jayne’s face could be seen bloodied up as she would eventually lose the match via submission.

Over the last year, Jayne had formed an association with Thea Hail, attempting to turn her away from Chase U by having her shun the likes of Andre Chase and Duke Hudson. However, once Nyx aligned herself with Jayne, the two began to belittle Hail, who eventually dumped Jayne as a friend and returned to her roots as a Chase U student.

WWE NXT live results: The fallout from Great American Bash

Tonight’s NXT will feature the fallout from Great American Bash.

Carmelo Hayes is still the NXT Champion following a battle with Ilja Dragunov this past Saturday. We’ll see if a new challenger for Hayes emerges tonight.

Tiffany Stratton also retained her NXT Women’s Championship at Great American Bash, defeating Thea Hail in a submission match. Though Hail lost, she didn’t tap out. Andre Chase threw in the towel as Stratton had Hail locked in a Boston crab. Stratton will celebrate her victory tonight.

Dominik Mysterio retained the North American title at Great American Bash, while Tony D’Angelo & Stacks defeated Gallus to become the new NXT Tag Team Champions.

A grudge match between Jacy Jayne and Lyra Valkyria has been announced for tonight. The two brawled at Great American Bash when Jayne attacked Valkyria.

The Schism will hold an interrogation as they attempt to confirm who the two followers who have been disobeying them are. Dijak vs. Eddy Thorpe and Yulisa Leon & Valentina Feroz vs. Elektra Lopez & Lola Vice are also set for the episode.

Our live coverage starts at 8 p.m. Eastern time.

NXT begins with a recap of The Great American Bash, and then an opening angle where Gallus ambushes The Family. Tony D’Angelo and Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo arrive to the building in their SUV, and they bring with them their newly won NXT Tag Team title belts.

Gallus jump The Family in the parking lot. While Tony D and Stacks put up a fight, they are eventually beaten down and left laying on the concrete. This would set up six-man tag match for tonight’s main event, with a mystery partner for The Family.

Cut to Booker T and Vic Joseph at the announce desk, and they are interrupted by Jacy Jayne. She vows to finish what she started at The Bash, except this time there will be nobody to pull her off Lyra Valkyria. I guess she forgot about the referee. Anyway, the show is kicking off live with a grudge match from the soundstage at the Performance Center in Orlando.

Jayne rushes to meet Valkyria during her entrance, and the grudge match is underway with a brawl before the bell.

Lyra Valkyria defeated Jacy Jayne

Valkyria pinned Jayne after a splash off the top rope. The finish was somewhat out of nowhere. They were fighting when Jayne hit Valkyria with a superkick, but Valkyria dodged another strike. Valkyria ducks under, and she levels Jayne with a roundhouse kick. Valkyria follows up by climbing the turnbuckles for a leap of faith and the three count.

They wrestled through a commercial break, and Valkyria showed a ton of fire. Jayne got to dominate a lot despite losing, which is seemingly standard WWE booking logic. Nothing necessarily wrong with that, as the heel got a comeuppance. The finish was just sudden.

NXT Champion Carmelo Hayes is talking backstage with Trick Williams. They talk a little about The Bash and Hayes’ banger with Ilja Dragunov. Williams then voices some frustration with being seen as a sidekick. Williams wants to fight Dragunov to show that he too is a dragon slayer like Hayes. Williams and Hayes embrace before Williams exits the scene.

Tony D and Stacks are in the trainer’s room when roving reporter McKenzie Mitchell asks them for a medical update. Tony D says the update is Gallus are dead men walking, and Tony D wants to fight all of Gallus tonight. Stacks points out that means all three. Tony D says he will make a call.

Rey Mysterio to appear live on NXT next week

Out comes “Dirty Dom” and “Mami” for an in-ring promo. NXT North American Champion Dominik Mysterio and WWE World Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley enter the ring, and they boast about Dom retaining his title at The Bash. They are soon interrupted by Dragon Lee.

Ripley tries to insult Dragon Lee, but he laughs it off. Dragon Lee takes exception to Dom thinking he is the greatest luchador ever. That is Rey Mysterio, according to Dragon Lee. After a discussion about the size of each other’s cojones, Dragon Lee challenges Dom to a title match next week. Dom accepts the challenge, saying he is a fighting champion.

Ripley assures she will be in Dom’s corner, and Dom says that is all he needs. Dragon Lee responds with a surprise. Dragon Lee says next week he will not come alone either. Suddenly, Rey Mysterio appears on the Titantron, and Mysterio announces that he will be in Dragon Lee’s corner next Tuesday on NXT.

Carmelo Hayes and Wes Lee have a heated confrontation in the locker room. They are interrupted by Noam Dar and Oro Mensah. Words are exchanged, and a scuffle breaks out. This sets up a tag team match for later tonight.

A dejected Thea Hail is flanked by Duke Hudson and Andre Chase for an interview with McKenzie Mitchell. Baron Corbin interrupts and tells them the interview is over. Chase says this is there allotted time. Corbin disrespects and insults Hail, and Chase says he will not allow that. This sets up a singles match between Corbin and Chase.

Dijak defeated Eddy Thorpe

Dijak pins Thorpe clean, after injuring Thorpe’s shoulder. Thorpe was getting a good push, and then he loses clean. Maybe they have a return match, and there is a 50/50 booking treatment. Regardless, they had a good match here tonight. More of that, please.

Thorpe takes an ugly bump, as Dijak goes to work on an arm. Dijak works over the arm, and he smashes Thorpe into a ring post. Thorpe fight back, but he uses his injured arm for an elbow drop. That backfires on him, and Dijak again posts the arm. Dijak follows up with superkick into the shoulder, and Dijak does a roaring kick that drops Thorpe for a three count.

Tony D is on the phone with his mystery partner, and Tony D says he is in.

Dana Brooke wants Kelani Jordan to find her “killer instinct.”

Elektra Lopez & Lola Vice defeated Yulisa Leon & Valentina Feroz

Vice pinned Leon to win the match in somewhat of an upset. Feroz & Leon were getting a push. It appears they now have rivals, as this would seem to set up a return bout

This match was set up after Lopez & Vice on social media cut a promo cutting down Leon & Feroz. Too bad for them that Leon & Feroz are the team being pushed. Vice & Lopez make a good team, but the match was so-so. Everybody worked hard.

The heels work over Feroz, leading towards a hot tag to Leon. She cleans house. Lopez is sent out of the ring by Leon, but Vice recovers unbeknownst to Leon. She turns around and walks into a superkick from Vice, and Vice covers Leon for a pinfall.

NXT Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton cut a promo on TikTok bragging about her retaining the title at The Bash. She will be back live next week on NXT.

Noam Dar & Oro Mensah (with Jakara Jackson & Lash Legend) defeated NXT Champion Carmelo Hayes & Wes Lee (with Trick Williams)

Dar pinned Lee to win the match. As part of the finish and the story of the match, Lee inadvertently hits Hayes with a finisher. There is tension between Lee and Hayes. This could seem to set up Lee being the next challenger for Hayes’ title.

Wes Lee, who has more of an edge lately, with a subtle tease of heelish behavior. Before the bell to start the match, Lee dives through the ropes for a dive on Dar & Mensah. The two teams go on to brawl at ringside. They finally get into the ring, and they match bell sounds to officially start the match. Surprised by the ambush, Dar takes bumps while still wearing his jacket.

The match goes through a commercial break, and Lee is being worked over as the show returns from the break. Builds to a hot tag. Hayes is a house of fire. Dar bump and feeds for Hayes. Legend gets involved at ringside at one point, and Hayes ducks a clothesline from Legend. Moments later, Jackson gets into the ring to distract Lee.

Jackson stands over Dar to protect him as Lee is perched on the top rope, and Jackson dares Lee to go through her. Still being a subtle heel, Lee goes for a twisting senton anyway, and Jackson moves out of the way. Lee splashes Dar for a near fall when the pin is broken up.

A flurry of action brings Hayes back into the ring. He drops Mensah with a kick. Lee signals and measures for a Cardiac Kick on Dar. Lee then inadvertently hits Hayes with the Cardiac Kick, and Lee is superkicked by Mensah (who was apparently supposed to do a springboard, but botched it). Dar delivers a shining wizard to Lee, and Dar covers him for a pinfall.

Bron Breakker cut a promo threatening Von Wagner.

A plug advertises Cody Rhodes appearing Thursday during Today on NBC.

Rhea Ripley and Dominik Mysterio are in the parking lot when they are confronted by Axiom. Dom does a comedy bit where he mistakes the masked Axiom for Dragon Lee. They are all interrupted by Mustafa Ali, and Ali  barges into the conversation wanting a word with Dom. Axiom feels disrespected by this, which would seem to set up a match between Axiom and Ali.

Baron Corbin defeated Andre Chase (with Thea Hail and Duke Hudson)

Corbin pinned Chase to win the match, but the story was really at ringside with Thea Hail.

Hail was visibly depressed at ringside. She upset about Chase throwing in the towel on Sunday, Hail throws in the towel for Chase when Corbin had him in a single-leg crab. Corbin caught the towel, and the referee did not see Hail thrown it in, and Corbin throws the towel back outside the ring.

Hail picks up the towel and leaves ringside, heading backstage. Hudson is taken aback with Hail’s actions and her walking out. Meanwhile, Chase is given The End of Days, and Corbin covers him for a three count.

Roxanne Perez is the focus of a vignette that shows her returning to her home state of Texas for her match at The Bash. Her family is featured in the video package, and they were also part of the story at The Bash. The mini-doc here was great character development for Perez.

In a scene straight out of a Monday night wrestling show in the late ’90s, a car is seen arriving to the building, and out steps a mysterious figure. The announcers speculate of this person is the mystery partner for tonight.

Tyler Bate in a skit confronts Meta-Four. This would seem to set up a match between Bate and Noam Dar for the Heritage Cup. Bate is the rightful holder of the trophy, but Dar now has a replica version.

Where in the world are the Creed Brothers?

Joe Gacy and Ava hold an interrogation with The Schism, trying to identify the traitors. The Dyad are also there, and they are livid. The masked members are all told to unmask one by one, as they are looking for the culprits.

There is a comedy bit where Ikemen Jiro pranks The Schism as he reveals himself as a member. Except he is not a member, so they kick him out of the ring. They kick out someone else. That left two more members. They Dyad lambaste them, and accuse them of being the Creeds. Dyad jump the two masked guys, and they pull off the masks. Turns out, they were not the Creeds.

The Creed Brothers suddenly appear on the Titantron, and they are supposed to be vacationing after losing the losers leave town match. This is supposed to be comedy as the Creeds are shown at various locations like the Pyramids. Gacy then screams for followers of Schism to find the Creed Brothers and bring them to Schism. What a silly angle this is, but whatever. Could be a lot worse.

In a skit from “last week” on NXT, an upset and angry Cora Jade pitches and fit in the locker room after losing a match. She storms out and claims she is leaving NXT.

Matches officially announced for next Tuesday on NXT:

  • Dominik Mysterio, with Rhea Ripley in his corner, defends the NXT North American title against challenger Dragon Lee, with Rey Mysterio in his corner
  • Tyler Bate against Noam Dar in a Heritage Cup match
  • Bron Breakker vs. Von Wagner
  • Mustafa Ali vs. Axiom

NXT Tag Team Champions The Family (Tony D’Angelo & Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo) & Santos Escobar defeated Gallus (Mark Coffey, Wolfgang & Joe Coffey)

Escobar was revealed as the mystery partner, and he has history as a rival of Tony D. Tonight, Escobar returned to NXT as Tony D’s tag partner.

The babyfaco trio clear the ring and clean house before a commercial break, but the rudos have the advantage when the show returns. Stacks is being worked over after the break.

Hot tag, and Escobar gets to shine as he runs wild. The two teams face off, three-on-three for a melee in the closing moments. Escobar with a super-duper avalanche Frankensteiner off the top rope on Mark Coffey. In comes Stacks and Tony D, and they execute their double team Bada Bing finisher. Tony D then hooks a leg and covers Coffey for the deciding pinfall.

The show closes with Ilja Dragunov cutting a promo on Trick Williams, vowing to terminate him entirely. Strong words.

Jacy Jayne vs. Lyra Valkyria announced for WWE NXT

WWE NXT live results: Weaponized steel cage match

One of NXT’s most intense rivalries is set to culminate tonight in a stipulation match.

Palmer is watching the video play when she is attacked from behind by someone wearing a hoodie. As they go home, Axiom missed the Golden Ratio. Lee then follows up by landing the Cardiac Kick, and Lee covers Axiom for a pinfall to retain the title

They embrace after the match in a show of good sportsmanship. Lee then leaves the ring. Axiom is alone in the ring when a cryptic promo from Scrypts plays over the loud speakers. When Scrypts tries a sneak attack, he is thwarted by Axiom. Scyrpts springboards into the ring out of nowhere, but Axiom seems knocks him out of the air with a dropkick.

In a locker room interview with McKenzie Mitchell, Nathan Frazier believes he can turns things around despite his loss earlier tonight. Other new matches added to next week’s show include Bron Breakker and The Creed Brothers teaming up to take on Indus Sher and Jinder Mahal, who they have had issues with as of late. Andre Chase will also meet Joe Gacy in a singles match after Gacy interrupted a Chase U class Chase was conducting, taunting the recent issues within Chase U.

Details on the Jailhouse Street Fight were also announced between Tony D’Angleo and Dijak. The rules will be no disqualification and no countout, and the goal is to lock your opponent inside a jail cell.

On Tuesday’s NXT, Pretty Deadly said they will meet with Gallus face-to-face next week. The duo have been asking for a NXT Tag Team Championship match, but have yet to receive it.

WWE NXT live results: Jacy Jayne explains her actions

One week after turning against Gigi Dolin, Jacy Jayne will explain her actions on NXT tonight.

Toxic Attraction came to an end with Jayne attacking Dolin on NXT last Tuesday. At the conclusion of a “Ding Dong, Hello!” segment, Jayne betrayed Dolin by slamming her head-first into a door and then kicking her in the head. Their breakup came after Roxanne Perez defeated Dolin and Jayne in a triple threat match at Vengeance Day to remain NXT Women’s Champion.

Bron Breakker retained his NXT Championship by defeating Grayson Waller in a steel cage match at Vengeance Day. Tonight, Breakker returns to NXT for the first time since that title defense.

Meiko Satomura also returns to NXT tonight as she teams with Perez against Katana Chance & Kayden Carter.

NXT North American Champion Wes Lee defends his title in an open challenge tonight. Tyler Bate vs. Waller, Thea Hail vs. Tiffany Stratton, Hank Walker vs. Charlie Dempsey, and Axiom vs. Damon Kemp have also been announced for the episode.

Our live coverage starts at 8 p.m. Eastern time.

**********

Opening the show is a men’s singles match set up last week. During entrances for the opener, Jacy Jayne is shown in a split-screen as she is arriving to the Performance Center.

Tyler Bate defeated Grayson Waller

Bate pinned Waller in a great bout. This was one of Waller’s best matches on NXT television, if not his best. Bate is a fantastic pro wrestler.

Waller gets the drop on Bate at the start. Bate fights back and peppers Waller, but Waller cuts off Bate some time thereafter. Bate again fights back, and he steps up his attack. Standing shooting star by Bate leads to the first pinning attempt of the match, but Waller kicks out.

The fighting spills outside and they brawl around ringside. Waller hops back into the ring, only to return outside with a baseball slide. Waller slides out to the floor, and he hits Bate with a lariat just before the show cuts to a split-screen commercial break.

Waller is punishing Bate as the show comes back from commercial. Bate comes back yet again with a rally. Stepping up his attack once more, Bate twice springs off the ropes to counter Waller. Bate also jumps off the middle rope with a flying uppercut, and he follows with a side suplex. Bate holds on for a cradle, but Wallers kicks out again. Bate utilizes an airplane spin for another near fall.

Snuffing out the rally, Waller counters Bate for a near fall. It was Bate’s turn to kick out. Amid dueling chants, Waller tunes up the band for Sweet Chin Music like he is Shawn Michaels. Waller stomps the mat signaling for a superkick. Bate blocks it, and Bate delivers a superkick of his own. Bate goes for a cover, but Waller is able to get a rope break in a last ditch effort.

Waller gets a two count with a handful of trunks just before they go home. For the finish, Bate does a sunset flip into the ring. Waller drops to his knees and hooks Bate’s legs for a pin cover. Waller then cheats by grabbing the ropes for illegal leverage. The referee catches Waller and breaks the count. Bate reverses the pinning attempt, and he cradles Waller for a three count to win the match. Waller protests with the ref, but he lost.

Waller would later storm into the Gorilla Position screaming at Shawn Michaels. Waller is yelling at HBK when Matt Bloom steps in to push Waller out of Gorilla.

Josh Briggs and Brooks Jensen are talking in the locker room. Jensen is nervous because he is a virgin who has never kissed a girl. Tonight he has a date with Kiana James. Briggs is giving him a pep talk when in walks Fallon Henley, and she reluctantly tells Jensen to have a good time. Away Jensen goes, headed for his date Kiana.

Apollo Crews in a vignette addresses Dabbo-Kato about the sneak attack at Vengeance Day. Crews is angry and confused about being jumped, and Crews briefly talks about his history with Dabbo-Kato on the main roster. Crews is now out for revenge.

Jacy Jayne is headed to the ring for a monologue. Jayne begins by proclaiming she is the talk of NXT. Ranting about herself, Jayne boasts about booting Gigi Dolan in the face. Jayce says she has watched it a thousand times, but what is better than that? A thousand and one, and Jayne throws to a video package that recaps the turn from last week.

Jayne mocks Dolan, and Jayne insults the live studio audience. The angle last week spoofed the breakup of the Rockers, and Jayne says Dolan is “Jannetty” in this scenario. Jayne also calls her “Chucky” before saying no ones cares about her. “Screw you,” Jayne says in addressing Dolan.

Jayne proclaims herself to be the “last women standing” amongst the Toxic Attraction trio.

Thea Hail is preparing for her match when Duke Hudson asks her what happened when Schism kidnapped her last week. She does not explain, and Andre Chase tells her she can postpone her match tonight. Hail responds by saying that is “the Chase U way,” and she heads to the ring.

A vignette profiles Sol Ruca. She is a free spirit. Ruca details her background and past, and shows her future sure looks bright. Great stuff here.

Tiffany Stratton defeated Thea Hail (with Andre Chase & Duke Hudson)

Stratton pinned Hail after distraction from The Schism. More of a plot device than a match, Hail is sure bothered by the cult faction.

The Dyad team from The Schism group show up standing in the studio audience wearing masks, which distracts Hail. Joe Gacy appears a few moments later standing on a perch above the ring. The sight of him distresses Hail, and she pleads with him to go away like he is a monster in a horror film.

Stratton takes advantage of the distraction, and Stratton works over Hail. Despite that, Hail fights from underneath as a babyface in peril. Hail makes a comeback, and she leaps out of the ring with a dive. Ava Raine then appears at ringside, which further distracts Hail. Stratton capitalizes, and Stratton does the Christopher Daniels’ Best Moonsault Ever. Stratton then scores a pinfall.

Javier Bernal in a skit asks Tatum Paxley to be his Valentine. Bernal then turns to ask Ivy Nile, and she puts him in a Dragon Sleeper. Suddenly, the voice of Isla Dawn is cutting a promo on Paxley and Nile. This was about as good as the worst Dungeon of Doom skit in WCW.

Axiom defeated Damon Kemp

Axiom pinned Kemp in a short, but good match. The match was set up two weeks ago when Kemp attacked Axiom, who gets his revenge tonight.

Hot start by Axiom with some flying moves. Kemp cuts him off, and Kemp punishes Axiom for a brief time. Electric chair into a German suplex by Kemp for a near fall. From there, Axiom makes a comeback. Golden Ratio finisher, and Axiom scores a pinfall.

Jinder Mahal challenges NXT Champion Bron Breakker to a title match

Breakker gets in the ring for what seems to be a monologue. The NXT champ begins speaking, and he is soon interrupted by Jinder Mahal and Indus Sher (Sanga & Veer). Mahal confronts Breakker, and Mahal at first compliments Breakker on being the face of the brand as champion.

Mahal goes on to talk about how he relates to how Breakker having to carry the brand as the champion. Mahal shifts direction as he brings up a small minority of fans that have turned on Breakker. This notion is sold with a group of fans heckling Breakker.

Mahal challenges Breakker to a title match next Tuesday on NXT, and Breakker accepts the challenge. Breakker jokes that Mahal is with the new 3MB, and the studio audience chants “3MB” at Mahal and Indus Sher.

Mahal insists the fans still do not like Breakker, and he insults Breakker one last time before Mahal vows to win the NXT title next week.

Indi Hartwell cuts a promo on Jacy Jayne, which could seem to set up a match between the two.

Wes Lee comes to the ring ready to defend his North American Championship in an open challenge. Tony D’Angelo and Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo had last week both teased answering the challenge. They are making their entrance when D’Angelo is attacked by Dijak. Stacks comes to the D’Angelo’s aid, and all three scuffle their way off the stage.

Meanwhile, Lee is watching the melee when he is jumped by Von Wagner. He is answering the open challenge. Wagner pummels Lee as the bell sounds to start the title match.

NXT North American Champion Wes Lee defeated Von Wagner (with Mr. Stone) to retain his title

Lee pinned Wagner in a short, action-packed match. Wagner lost clean, so his push is seemingly on the rocks despite being a monster heel. On the other hand, Lee is getting a strong push.

Wagner is in control as the match underway, but Lee soon fights back. The monster heel cuts off the champion, and Wagner proceeds to pummel Lee some more. Outside the ring, Wagner smashes Lee’s head on the announce desk.

Lee still manages to make a comeback, and he staggers Wagner with a series of superkicks. Lee delivers a Cardiac Kick, and Lee pins Wagner clean as a sheet. Down goes the monster.

In a skit that aired before the next match, Hank Walker is seen wearing his new gear. He wore a basic black singlet with “WALKER” across the front. News boots had not yet arrived, so Walker is wearing his old cowboy boots. Drew Gulak gifts Walker a pair of wrestling boots.

Charlie Dempsey defeated Hank Walker (with Drew Gulak)

Dempsey submits Walker in a short match. Dempsey stretches Walker, and Dempsey continues to do so after the match. Gulak does not try to help, and he has a staredown with Dempsey before Gulak leaves alongside Dempsey.

Mr. Stone rants and raves at Von Wagner in the locker room following Wagner’s loss earlier in the show.

NXT Tag Team Champions Gallus are playing pool in a bar when Pretty Deadly challenge them to game of billiards. Pretty Deadly lose a bunch of games in a row, and Gallus sticks them with a hefty bar tab. Somehow this all is leading to a tag team title match next week.

Ilja Dragunov is being interviewed backstage by McKenzie Mitchell when he is interrupted by Trick Williams, who is in the ring calling out Dragunov. Williams continues cutting a promo on Dragunov, as Dragunov makes his way to the ring. He confronts Williams face-to-face. Williams cheap shots Dragunov with a punch. Dragunov responds with a kick that drops Williams, and Williams rolls out of the ring.

Out comes JD McDonagh to confront Dragunov. McDonagh blames Dragunov for injuring his eye during an attack last Tuesday. McDonagh threatens to beat Dragunov so badly that he cannot hold his own son. That remark enrages Dragunov, and he looks ready to fight McDonagh. Before Dragunov can, he is jumped from behind by Williams. Dragunov is dropped by Williams, and McDonagh watches on. McDonagh teases getting into the ring, but he leaves instead.

Williams against Dragunov in a match is later made official for next Tuesday on NXT.

Kiana James is being dropped off at her home after her date with Brooks Jensen. This builds to them almost kissing when they are interrupted by Fallon Henley and Briggs. Henley insists on telling Jensen that James is cheating on him, but that is a swerve.

Turns out the Zack character that Henley overheard James profess her love to is James’ brother. Someone portraying him makes a cameo appearance, and Henley looks bad in ruining the romantic moment.

NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez & Meiko Satomura defeated Kayden Carter & Katana Chance

Satomura was fittingly treated like a returning legend. She and Perez get to shine before the show’s last commercial break. Perez does a dive through the ropes, and Satomura jumps off the apron with a senton as the show cuts to the split-screen break.

Chance and Carter are in control when the show returns from commercial, after having turned the tables during the break. Carter and Chance work over Perez, until Satomura tags back into the match. Satomura cleans house with kicks, and she gets a near fall on Carter.

The momentum shifts again when Perez back in. Satomura tries to clean house once more, but she is rocked with a codebreaker from Chance. Satomura is in trouble for the first time in this match. She still fights back, but she is double-teamed by Carter and Chance. Perez tries to help, but to no avail for the moment.

Satomura takes a Super Frankensteiner off the turnbuckles. Carter and Chance trie another tandem move, but Satomura has a counter this time. She fights with Carter, and Satomura lands a Pele kick before they go home. Perez tags in for the finish, and she executes Pop Rocks. Perez then pins Carter to win the match.

Satomura addresses Perez after the match, saying she did Perez a favor. To return the favor, Satomura wants a title match. Perez gladly accepts, and she tells Satomura it would be an honor to defend the championship against her at NXT Roadblock. Looks like the next challenger for Perez is Satomura.

Jacy Jayne got HBK’s blessing to ‘redo some history’ with WWE NXT angle

While appearing on Busted Open Radio, Jacy Jayne discussed her breakout moment from last week’s NXT.

Toxic Attraction imploded with Jayne turning against Gigi Dolin in the main event angle of NXT last Tuesday. The split had been building for weeks and finally happened after Jayne and Dolin unsuccessfully challenged Roxanne Perez for the NXT Women’s Championship in a triple threat match at NXT Vengeance Day.

Jayne was asked during her Busted Open Radio appearance if she feels like she’s starting to get more credit recently and if people are now understanding where she’s coming from.

I think recently I’ve been starting to get more credit for everything, especially honestly after Mandy [Rose] left. Like, as sad as that whole situation was — and we tried to make the most of it going forward — I feel like that kind of helped me break out of this Toxic Attraction shell. Now people were paying attention to me more and listening to what I had to say. I do think it’s been — I haven’t gotten a lot of credit while we were all together. But now I’m starting to show my character and how much I’ve grown over the last year and a half, two years. I think this was honestly my breakout moment. Even at Vengeance Day, it was kind of sink or swim for us. Like, ‘Now you’re on your own. You have to prove that you can do it by yourself.’ So I went into that match with that mind frame. Like, ‘You need to kill this performance because if not you don’t know what’s going to happen going forward.’

In a scene similar to the breakup of The Rockers, Jayne sent Dolin head-first into a door when she turned against Dolin. Jayne told Busted Open Radio that she got Shawn Michaels’ blessing to “redo some history” with the angle.

So I actually didn’t really know much going into that day. They were kind of very hush-hush about everything happening. All I really knew was I was going to be on ‘Ding Dong, Hello!’ So that’s a lot of pressure having Bayley come back. It was the first time she even had that show in — I think — like two years. It was also the first time it was ever in front of a live audience because that was always done during the pandemic era. So I feel like there was a lot of pressure going into that alone.

And then kind of getting Shawn’s blessing to redo some history there. That’s a big deal for me. I didn’t want to mess it up. I didn’t want to screw up. I wanted to make a memory. I think everybody knew Toxic Attraction was going to explode soon. But to make it memorable, we had to go big. So we wanted it to be vicious. We wanted it to be memorable. We wanted people to talk about it. Not just something like, ‘Oh, that was a good segment. Yeah, whatever. Now they’re by themselves.’ Like, no, we want people to remember this and be like, ‘Oh, this is a new coming for two new superstars on a solo route.’

WWE will follow up on the breakup of Toxic Attraction with Jayne explaining her actions on NXT this Tuesday night.
