Impact Wrestling live results: Will Ospreay vs. Josh Alexander

A highly anticipated matchup airs on tonight’s episode of Impact Wrestling.

For the first time ever, Will Ospreay and Josh Alexander share the ring on Impact tonight. The match was taped at Impact’s post-Bound for Glory television tapings and has received rave reviews,

Ospreay defeated “Speedball” Mike Bailey at Bound for Glory and also competed at Impact’s Turning Point special, picking up a win over Eddie Edwards.

Alexander was unsuccessful in his attempt to win the Impact World Championship from Alex Shelley at Bound for Glory.

Another first-time-ever bout on tonight’s show will see Trinity face off with Sonny Kiss.

Myron Reed makes his Impact debut tonight, joining up with his Rascalz stablemates against the luchador trio of Laredo Kid, Black Taurus & Juventud Guerrera.

Steve Maclin & KiLynn King vs. Bully Ray & Jordynne Grace, Ace Austin & Chris Bey vs. Kenny King & Sheldon Jean, and Moose vs. Heath are also part of the lineup for tonight.

Impact World Tag Team Champions ABC (Ace Austin & Chris Bey) (Bullet Club) defeated Kenny King & Sheldon Jean to retain

Good opening tag match, which aired just as it was reported that Kenny King had been granted his release from Impact.

King and Austin started the match, locking up. Bey and Austin dominated King in the early parts of the match until Sheldon jean pulled Bey from the ring allowing King to throw Austin to the outside, while Jean sent Bey flying into the ring post to begin getting the heat. Bey managed to tag in Austin after dodging some attacks and leaping off the back of King. Austin hit a kick on King for a 2-count.

Bey tagged back in and they went for the 1-2-Sweet, but Jean made another save, pulling Austin from the ring and hitting a leg lariat. Bey took Jean out with a dropkick but turned into a Tiger Driver for a 2-count. King hit a nice blockbuster off the apron on Bey and Jean hit a pop up neckbreaker on Bey for a 2-count.

King missed a toreno to the floor and Bey hit him with a tope con giro before ABC hit the 1-2-Sweet for the pinfall on Jean.

–MK Ultra claimed to be the ones that controlled the Knockouts Division, and that they were going to reshape reality, and that they were unstoppable.

Moose (w/ Brian Myers) defeated Heath

It’s a bit ironic that this show featured two guys back to back who are leaving (or likely leaving) Impact, with Heath being the second one. Solid match here, but nothing too special. Moose actually getting a win and looking to establish some momentum before Hard to Kill is a good thing though, since he’ll be challenging for the title then.

Moose used his power and size to dominate the early parts of this match, dumping Heath to the floor in a hard floor bump, but Heath fought back with a hurricanrana to counter a powerbomb and hit a tope to the floor where it looked like Moose saved his life by catching him. Heath hit a flying knee and leg lariat back in the ring, and a powerslam after Moose hit the ropes for a 2-count. Myers interfered, allowing Moose to hit a spear and get the pinfall.

–Moose and Myers continued the assault on Heath after the bell, but Moose bailed as Rhino ran in and hit a Gore on Myers.

–Myers and Moose cut a promo on Rhino backstage, where Moose promised to end the career of Rhino at Final Resolution.

Laredo Kid, Black Taurus, Juventud Guerrera defeated The Rascalz (Trey Miguel, Zachery Wentz, & Myron Reed) in a Lucha Rules Match

The finishing sequence of this match was awesome, and Black Taurus looked awesome and like one of the most dangerous wrestlers in the world as he defeated Reed.

Myron Reed made his debut in this match, along with Juventud Guerrera returning to Impact after a very long time away from the company. Konnan also joined the commentary team. Seeing Juvi is always cool. The pace of this match was fast, as expected, and the lucha rules allowed there to be dives early on with Miguel hitting a top con giro to Black Taurus.

The Rascalz were able to isolate Kid, letting Miguel hit the Three Amigos on Kid. Matt Rehwoldt compared it to Eddie Guerrero and Konnan said to Hannifan “Our partner is completely wrong.” I laughed. Konnan talked about Impact returning to the TNA name, saying they have gone full circle. Kid went for an O’Connor Roll but Miguel blocked it and there was a triple team back suplex, into a neckbreaker, into a standing shooting star press for a 2-count. That as awesome.

Miguel tried to super plex Miguel, but Kid rolled through and powerbombed him off the ropes, allowing Juvi to tag in. Juvi hit a crossbody on Reed and Wentz, before hitting a combo flatliner and DDT on them both. Juvi hit a hurricanrana and a basement dropkick on Miguel before hitting a lariat before tagging out to Kid who ate a super kick from Wentz. Taurus came in and hit a pop up Samoan drop on Wentz before setting up Juvi for the 450 splash.

Wentz and Miguel cut him off and they immediately went to work on Laredo Kid, hitting and awesome triple team dropkick that involved Reed and Wentz flipping Miguel into the air before hitting the basement dropkick. That was awesome. Laredo Kid hit a flipping DDT on Wentz, while Myron Reed flew over the ropes into a cutter to the floor on Taurus who was on the apron. Wentz hit a UFO Cutter on Kid, and Juvi hit a Gory Special on Wentz. Black Taurus came in and hit Destination Hellhole on Reed for the pinfall.

Bully Ray & Jordynne Grace defeated Steve Maclin & KiLynn King

This was a decent tag match, with Grace going over as she should have as they build to her title match at Hard to Kill.

Grace and Ray did not seem happy to be teaming together, but decided to work together against their common enemies. Ray & Maclin started the match, with Maclin showing clear cuts and scars from the barbed wire he fell into in Monsters Ball at Bound for Glory. Maclin hit a flying forearm on Ray to drop him before tagging in to KiLynn King.

King did not hesitate to go after Ray, who was her trainer, hitting a series of hard forearms. Ray hit a back elbow and led the fans in chants for Jordynne Grace, so it seems he really has turned babyface. Grace hit a shoulder block on King, but King shrugged it off. Grace went for a suplex on Grace, but King fought it off and hit a kick before hitting a choke bomb into the corner.

Grace fought out of a fireman’s carry and tagged out to Ray, who was thrown off the top rope by King. Maclin tagged in and continued beating on Ray, but Ray hit a spear, sort of, after Maclin hit the ropes. Ray tagged out and Grace went right after King, hitting a series of strikes ending with a low European uppercut on King and a Vader Bomb for a 2-count that Maclin broke up. Ray dumped Maclin to the floor allowing Grace to hit the Juggernaut Driver for the win.

–Bully Ray grabbed the Call Your Shot trophy and held it while standing behind Grace. Instead of hitting her with it, he told her to take it, and she pulled it away from him, while Ray looked on with intensity as he clearly wanted to win it at the PPV. However, Ray offered his hand to Grace, and they shook, and Ray raised her hand in victory.

Trinity defeated Sonny Kiss

Kiss and Trinity had an equal exchange in the opening portion of the match, with both going for a dropkick at the same time and kicking up afterwards. Kiss countered a wheelbarrow attempt from Trinity, spinning Trintiy around the ring. Kiss hit a snap suplex and a standing moonsault for a 2-count.

Kiss hit a handspring back elbow to Trinity, who was caught in the tree of woe for a 2-count. Kiss got double underhooks on Trinity, but Trinity rolled through and then hit a bulldog on Kiss. Trinity hit a springboard kick and the splits into a legdrop on Kiss for a two count. Trinity hit a bulldog into the middle turnbuckle and hit a split legged moonsault for a 2-count.

Kiss draped Trinity across the middle rope in the corner and hit a handspring into a legdrop in the corner. Trinity dodged an attack, hit a headscissors into a DDT before hitting a full nelson bomb for the pinfall.

–Alex Shelley & Chris Sabin were backstage, and the Motor City Machine Guns talked about Josh Alexander facing Ospreay tonight, while talking about Josh Alexander and Zach Sabre Jr. teaming together to face them at Impact Wrestling Final Resolution.

Will Ospreay (The United Empire) defeated Josh Alexander

My goodness, this was a great match. This should surprise anyone as Ospreay and Alexander are two of the best wrestlers alive today. This was not quite as good as Ospreay/Bailey, but I suspect there will be some that liked this one more. Excellent match.

Ospreay picked up the speed after a brief lock up, hitting a hurricanrana that sent Alexander to the floor before hitting a tope to the floor. As they came back from break, Ospreay was chopping Alexander in the corner. After slamming Alexander’s head into a turnbuckle a third time, Alexander fired back with a forearm that sent Ospreay crashing to the mat. Ospreay went for an enziguri, but Alexander caught it and went for an ankle lock.

Ospreay tried to escape, so Alexander transitioned into a Scorpion Death Lock but Ospreay made the ropes. Ospreay hit a mafia kick and then a backbreaker on Alexander. Ospreay went for an OsCutter, but Alexander caught him and went for a German suplex, but Ospreay charged the corner, ducking at the last second to drive Alexander face first into the turnbuckle again, and then hit a standing shooting star press for a 2-count.

Alexander ducked a clothesline and hit a series of German suplexes. Alexander flipped out of one, hitting an enziguri and went for a hurricanrana, but Alexander stopped it and powered Ospreay into a powerbomb onto his knee for a 2-count. Alexander stopped a springboard from Ospreay with a forearm and his a crossbody to the seated Ospreay, who was on the apron.

Alexander hit a Northern Lights Suplex for a 2-count. Ospreay managed to hit a spinning kick off the ropes after a few minutes where Alexander was throwing Ospreay repeatedly into the turnbuckles. Ospreay hit a series of Kawada kicks and then some hard chops. Alexander ate the chops and begged for more, and Ospreay obliged.

Alexander caught Ospreay with one arm in a torture rack, but almost lost Ospreay. He cleverly waked to the ropes, let Ospreay stabilize himself on the ropes, and then hit a torture rack bomb for a 2-count. Alexander picked Ospreay up in a fireman’s carry and hit an avalanche rolling fireman’s carry off the middle ropes for a 2-count. Ospreay countered a clothesline from Alexander by grabbing the arm and flipping backwards into a tiger driver on Alexander for a 2-count.

Ospreay hit a Yakuza kick in the corner and the Cheeky Nandos kick before going for something off the top rope, but Alexander cut him off. Alexander went for a German suplex off the top rope, but Ospreay drove the back of his head into the face of Alexander to send him off the ropes and going for a twisting moonsault, but Alexander moved and Ospreay landed on his feet but his knee or ankle went out.

Alexander immediately responded with an ankle lock. Every time Ospreay would escape and go for a move, Alexander would immediately counter into the ankle lock, finally forcing Ospreay to grab the ropes. Ospreay managed to hit a Stundog Millionaire when Alexander picked Ospreay up on his shoulders, and then hit an OsCutter while limping for a 2-count. Opsreay went for the Hidden Blade, but his leg gave out and he collapsed.

Alexander responded with some headbutts, as both men were on all fours before hitting hard forearms back and forth. Alexander managed to hit a Chaos Theory for a 2-count. Ospreay managed to hit the OsCutter on Alexander, and held on transitioning into the Storm Breaker, but as he spun Alexander in the air, he transitioned into a tombstone on Ospreay for a 2-count. Alexander went for the C4 Spike, but Ospreay floated out and nailed Hidden Blade for a 2-count. Ospreay immediately transitioned to the Storm Driver 93, and hit another Hidden Blade and a Storm Breaker for the win.

Final Thoughts

This was a one match show, and Impact knew it. The wrestling on the show other than that match really didn’t matter, despite most of the show being really great. In fact, this episode was very much so total nonstop action in a very literal sense. The rest of the show featured a few hints for Final Resolution and Hard to Kill.

Impact Wrestling live results: Motor City Machine Guns vs. Alexander & Young

After presenting a Bound for Glory recap episode last week, Impact Wrestling is back with new matches tonight.

Tonight’s Impact will feature matches taped at the promotion’s UK Invasion tour in Glasgow, Scotland. Impact Wrestling returned to the United Kingdom last week for its first full tour in the country since 2016.

Motor City Machine Guns (Alex Shelley & Chris Sabin) vs. Josh Alexander & Eric Young headlines tonight’s show. Shelley retained his Impact World Championship against Alexander in the main event of Bound for Glory.

Trinity also made a successful title defense at Bound for Glory, defeating Mickie James. Trinity defends her Knockouts Championship against Scottish wrestler Emersyn Jayne tonight.

Moose, Brian Myers & Deonna Purrazzo team up in a six-person tag team match against Mark Andrews, Flash Morgan Webster & Dani Luna.

In the finals of the Glasgow Cup, Joe Hendry takes on Frankie Kazarian tonight.

Plus, Grado makes his Impact return in a match against Trey Miguel.

Joe Hendry defeated Frankie Kazarian to win the Glascow Cup

This was a very solid opening match, and Hendry got to win in front of his home country crowd in Scotland.

It appears by the time they finally arrived in Glascow, Hannifan learned how to pronounce Glascow. The production of the show was noticeably worse than usual as Hendry made his entrance, and spoke on the mic about how it was a privilege to bring Impact Wrestling back to Scotland. Hendry’s promo was a very good babyface promo about proving he was worthy of being on the Impact stage. I can tell the crowd was cheering loudly, but the micing of the arena was quite terrible.

This was a very solid professional wrestling match, with Kazarian and Hendry working a basic, effective opening match to warm up the crowd. Hendry showed some power with a stalling suplex for a two count. Hendry hit an elbow drop for a two count. Kazarian shoved Hendry from the ropes to the floor to get a little heat on Hendry. Hendry made a comeback and hit a fallaway slam before doing the “We Will Rock You” beat and the fans started singing the song.

Hendry launched Kazarian off his shoulders into a face plant and hit a cutter for a two count. Kazarian popped up out of nowhere and hit Fade to Black for a two count. Hendry hit a superplex on Kazarian and both were down in the middle of the ring. Hendry and Kazarian exchanged some pinfall attempts before Hendry hooked the leg and got Kazarian out of nowhere.

–Deonna Purrazzo, Moose, and Brian Myers cut a promo on Subculture about their match tonight. They badly need to white balance the camera.

–Joe Hendry was backstage after his win, and said that he was not going to let Simon Miller disrespect him and he was going to beat him at Turning Point tomorrow night.

The Most Professional Wrestling Virtuosas (Moose, Brian Myers, & Deonna Purrazzo) defeated Subculture (Mark Andrews, Flash Morgan Webster, & Dani Luna)

Purrazzo’s team had to win this one with Purrazzo going on to face Trinity tomorrow night at Turning Point, but they gave Subculture everything in losing here, and they did not feel out of place with the larger stars in the company.

As Rehwoldt was saying that Myers wouldn’t be taken down without a fight, he was taken down with a fight through an arm drag from Webster. Luna and Purrazzo did a series of standing switches ending with Luna hitting a back elbow and then a suplex for a 1-count. Purrazzo rolled to the corner and tagged Moose in.

Moose overpowered Webster and Luna both, before Andrews tagged in. Andrews hit two chops that just made Moose mad, but Andrews hit a dropkick off the middle rope. Andrews went to the top rope, but Moose hit the ropes and crotched him before hitting a few chops of his own. Purrazzo hit a short arm clothesline on Andrews before tagging out to Myers, who hit a suplex.

Moose, Myers, and Purrazzo continued to get the heat on Andrews for the next few minutes, making quick tags, while the audience taunted Brian Myers. Andrews tagged in Luna after hitting an enziguri on Myers, and it led to all of Subculture powerbombing Moose for a 2-count that Purrazzo and Myers broke up. Purrazzo then locked in the Fujiwara armbar on Luna, but Andrews broke it up.

Webster kicked moose with a kick from the apron, but Moose ended up running up the turnbuckle and hitting a suplex on Webster, while Andrews flew into the ring with a splash on Moose. Myers cut him off, but Luna took him out, and then Purrazzo hit a pump kick on Luna, followed with a double clothesline and everyone was down. Andrews hit Moose with Stundog Millionaire, while Purrazzo hit a pump kick on Webster. Luna dragged Purrazzo to the floor while Moose hit a hotshot on Andrews and hit the spear for the win.

–Josh Alexander and Eric Young were backstage standing under a purple light for some reason. They talked about their differences, but how there was respect between them, and there was no better way for them to test themselves than face the Motor City Machine Guns, and how the two Canadians will take on Subculture tomorrow night as well.

–Tom Hannifan and Matt Rehwoldt talked about Grado being back in Impact for the next match.

Grado defeated Trey Miguel

This was a total comedy match with Grado doing several comedy spots, including holding the arms of Miguel behind his back and letting fans chop him. As Grado celebrated, Miguel shoved him into the ring post. Miguel then posed and trie to pin Grado cockily, but Grado kicked out. Grado went for a bionic elbow, but Miguel kicked him in the stomach, hit the ropes, and then ate a bionic elbow anyway.

Grado charged the corner and had the funniest sell of a superkick I have seen in awhile for a 2-count. Miguel missed a double stomp and ate a Death Valley Driver from Grado for a 2-count. Grado went for the Wee Boot, but Miguel blocked it. Grado hit a spike small package for a 2-count and then hit the Wee Boot for the win.

–Eddie Edwards cut a good promo on Will Ospreay about their different paths in Japan, Edwards in NOAH, and Ospreay in NJPW, but that Edwards is the best in Impact, and he is going to have a very hard match at Turning Point.

Trinity defeated Emersyn Jayne

This was not a squash, as Trinity gave Jayne a lot in this match.

Jayne took way more in this match than I expected, with Trinity spending a lot of time selling, including Jayne catching Trinity on a crossbody and hitting a Northern Lights Suplex for a 2-count. Trinity hit a kick and a bulldog into the middle turnbuckle before hitting a flying forearm and elbow. Jayne hit a falcon arrow for a two count. Trinity hit a full nelson bomb for the win after this.

–A hype video aired about Impact’s tour of the UK, as Hannifan mispronounced Coventry again. Ah well, you can’t win them all. This video was actually really great, including Grado trying to cut a promo but Moose making noise in the background and interrupting his thoughts.

–Trinity talked about her victory against Emerson Jayne, and how she was going to have the final match with Purrazzo in their trilogy, because if Purrazzo loses, she will not be able to challenge for the title again as long as Trinity is champion.

The Motor City Machine Guns (Alex Shelley & Chris Sabin) defeated Josh Alexander & Eric Young defeated

This was basically a house show main event tag, but that doesn’t mean it was bad. This was a fun match overall, with both teams doing what they could to bring an easy, entertaining match to the audience. By the end, this was excellent, and it would hard to be any less than that with these four in the ring.

Shelley and Alexander shook hands as the match started, showing respect between the two since their main event at Bound for Glory. Shelley and Alexander showed some great technical wrestling, picking up where they left off a few weeks ago, with Shelley tying Alexander up in the ropes. Alexander and Shelley both went for their finishers, both countering, and Shelley escaping the ring before Alexander got an ankle lock on.

Sabin tagged in while Eric Young tagged in on the other side. Shelley and Sabin faked out Young on the floor and isolated him briefly, but Young dumped Sabin to the floor and then tagged out to Alexander. Alexander and Young isolated Shelley for the next few minutes. Shelley and Alexander exchanged submission attempts again, and Alexander went for the ankle lock, but Sabin ran in and broke it up, letting Shelley hit a dragon screw legwhip on Alexander.

Shelley charged the corner, but Alexander got his foot up. Shelley caught it and sent it to Sabin on the apron, who hit a dragon screw over the ropes. Shelley responded with one of his own as well, s they aimed to rip apart the knee of Alexander. That was a really cool sequence of moves. Sabin stomped the knees and tagged back out to Shelley, and the assault continued.

Young was desperate to get in the ring as Shelley put a figure four leg lock on Alexander. Young ran int to try to break it up, but Sabin ran in and put a figure four on Yonng to the delight of the crowd. Alexander hit a vertical suplex and tried to tag out to Young. Shelley hit a flatliner into the corner on Young, allowing Sabin to hit a missile dropkick on Young. Alexander rushed in and hit a series of German suplexes on Sabin.

Alexander hit a belly-to-belly suplex for a two count. Sabin went for Cradle Shock, but Alexander countered into trying for the C4 Spike, but Shelley countered with a hurricanrana. Sabin hit a flying kick for a 2-count that Young broke up. Alexander slipped out of Cradle Shock again, but ate some elbows until Alexander rolled through and locked on an ankle lock.

Alexander locked on a sharpshooter, but Sabin fought to the ropes. Alexander had to let go because of the damage done to his knees earlier, but he did what he wanted to wear Sabin down. Young went to the top rope for a doomsday device, but Sabin shoved Alexander into the corner and hit the Cradle Shock for a 2-count on Alexander.

Young bit the face of Sabin and hit a big flying elbow, but Young was not legal, but Sabin kicked out once Young tagged in. Sabin hit a Tornado DDT on Young and went for Cradle Shock, but Young slipped out and called for a lariat, but he walked right into the cradle shock for the 3.

Final Thoughts

This was a mostly nothing show of Impact, and aside from the very good main event, it was a largely missable show. It was nice seeing Hendry win in his hometown, but this was basically a house show as Impact spins it wheels until TNA comes back in the new year.

Impact Wrestling live results: The road to Bound for Glory continues

The road to Bound for Glory continues on tonight’s episode of Impact Wrestling from Memphis, Tennessee.

Before challenging for the Impact World Championship at the October 21 pay-per-view, Josh Alexander will be in action tonight. He’s facing off against Kon.

The Bound for Glory main event will see Alexander face Alex Shelley for the Impact World Championship.

A 10-person tag team match with Bound for Glory implications is also set for tonight. Jake Something, Dirty Dango, Champagne Singh, Eric Young & Jordynne Grace are teaming up against Brian Myers, Shera, KiLynn King, Jody Threat & Bully Ray. The winning team advances to face each other in a five-way match next week. That five-way match will determine the number one and number 20 entrants in the Call Your Shot gauntlet at Bound for Glory.

Tasha Steelz & Deonna Purrazzo are looking for a Knockouts Tag Team title shot against Killer Kelly & Masha Slamovich. Tonight, Steelz goes one-on-one with Kelly.

Moose vs. Bhupinder Gujjar is also set, along with ABC battling John Skyler and a partner in a strap match.

On BTI, Savannah Evans takes on Jessicka.

BTI pre-show:

Savannah Evans defeated Jessicka

Main Show:

Tasha Steelz defeated Killer Kelly (w/ Masha Slamovich)

As of now, neither woman has a match at this month’s Bound for Glory. With Kelly as one half of the Knockouts Tag Team Champions with Masha Slamovich, that could change any day now.

This marked Steelz’s first singles match since March while Kelly last wrestled singles back in July during the Australian tour.

Steelz was in control for the majority of the match with Slamovich getting into her face at least once. Kelly rallied late with a sequence that includes repeated headbutts and a butterfly suplex that put Steelz just short of the turnbuckle.

As Kelly was about to get the win with a rear naked choke, Deonna Purrazzo ran down to ringside and pulled the referee out of the ring who thought it was Slamovich. Due to the distraction, Steelz hit the Blackout (crucifix bomb) for the pin and win.

She embraced Purrazzo after the match as it appears she and Steelz could challenge for the aforementioned titles. (Narrator: They will.) This was fine, but nothing special.

– Jason Hotch of the Good Hands walked into the Gisele Shaw entourage dressing room. He asked Savannah Evans to be his mystery partner for tonight’s Fans Revenge tag team match. Jai Vidal made a crack at Hotch which Shaw didn’t care for given that his errors on last week’s show. She said he would join Hotch tonight instead which Hotch didn’t care for, saying “I’d rather have the girl.” Rude!

– Gia Miller chatted with Jonathan Gresham about his recent win over Mike Bailey by cheating. He defended his actions saying everyone is breaking rules, so why not him? Bailey walked up and was pissed, but Gresham just walked away without saying a word.

Tommy Dreamer promo

Last week, Crazzy Steve attacked Digital Media Champion Dreamer as he has an upcoming title match courtesy of winning one of the Feast or Fired briefcases.

Dreamer called Steve out to the ring and he talked about his friendship with Steve dating back to the TNA days and teaming with him in the past. Dreamer said that Steve is legally blind and that he can do things other people cannot do in the ring by hearing and pacing steps. I had no idea that was true. Dreamer then told a story about teaching Steve to drive one crazy night and how Steve cried because he felt normal.

After more praise for Steve, Dreamer said he would put the title on the line anytime and anywhere because he’s his friend and he deserves it. Steve hugged him and then held on too long as Dreamer started to wilt, revealing a fork stuck in Dreamer’s lower back. Steve is crazy with two Zs, you see. Steve then laughed and said some crazy things before leaving, singing a song.

Dreamer still cuts a great babyface promo, but the lack of crowd noise (at all) hurt the actual stunt.

Jake Something, Dirty Dango, Champagne Singh, Eric Young & Jordynne Grace defeated Brian Myers, Shera, KiLynn King, Jody Threat & Bully Ray

As written above, the winners will be in a five-way next week to determine the first and 20th entrants into the Bound for Glory Call Your Shot gauntlet match.

Something (not Jake) tells me the team with Grace and Young is probably going to take this. Just a hunch. Also, this is under intergender rules, evidenced by Dango and Threat going at it to kick this off. Threat was happy to mix it up with anyone on the other team.

I usually don’t love intergender wrestling, but Grace vs. Ray was actually kind of a fun, and odd, mix while it lasted. King also got into it with Young in between some Ray offense.

Something got in and ran wild on everyone because Shera got in his way. That ended badly as he got hit with the Void (black hole slam) for the pin and win. My prediction was correct! This was kept fairly short and didn’t bog down, so that’s a win.

– Gia Miller was with Josh Alexander as she was curious why he would face Kon ahead of his Impact World title opportunity. Alexander read from the babyface playbook before champion Alex Shelley suddenly appeared. He said he would back up Alexander because he knew Deaner would back up Kon. He wants him at 100% for Bound for Glory. Shelley’s an honorable fella.

– A recap segment went over Mickie James’ return to Impact to challenge Knockouts Champion Trinity and how everything played out to make the James vs. Trinity title match Bound for Glory. Miller then interviewed Trinity who put over James while saying she would beat her at BFG.

ABC (Ace Austin & Chris Bey) vs. Jason Hotch & Jai Vidal in a Fans’ Revenge match

What’s a Fans’ Revenge match? Well, “hand selected” fans were given straps around the ringside area where they could whip any wrestler that hit the floor. I mean, it’s an idea. I’m guessing none of these fans train at wrestling schools in the greater Memphis area, especially alongside the only two sides of the ring where the heels landed.

To no surprise, Hotch was hit first. His usual Good Hands tag partner John Skyler and fellow ABC antagonist is off on paternity leave which is probably better than getting hit with straps. Bey hit the floor and one of the strappers (?) asked to take a selfie while another was happy to “Too Sweet” him. Vidal didn’t like and got lit up as a result. Hotch later hit the floor and also got lit up, crying as a result.

After getting strapped up again, Hotch grabbed a strap himself and then ate a Bey plancha. Back in the ring, he was hit with Bey’s Art of the Finesse and Austin’s Fold for the pin and win. The “fans” then got in the ring to celebrate with ABC who have Tag Team Champions The Rascalz in their sights as they own one of the aforementioned Feast or Fired briefcase.

– A montage ran catching up on the seemingly never-ending Frankie Kazarian/Eddie Edwards feud. Kazarian said he was going to Impact management to figure out a way to end this once and for all. That seems like a good idea for all involved.

Moose (w/ Brian Myers) defeated Bhupinder Gujjar

Moose has a briefcase guaranteeing him a future World title match. These two have shared the ring several times and have had two matches against each other. Gujjar isn’t exactly a guy that wins on TV that much, if ever, so I like Moose’s chances here.

The former World Champion got the win after a power bomb and then a spear in a relatively short squash match. Steve Maclin, who Moose took the briefcase away from in the Feast or Fired match after Maclin took a gore from Rhino, then came out to share some thoughts.

Maclin wanted Moose to hand over the case and Moose unsurprisingly didn’t care for that transaction. Moose felt this had to be a trap and Maclin said it wasn’t as Bully Ray went “soft” and he took care of PCO. The lights went out and PCO appeared in the ring to take out everyone. Maclin was yelling at PCO and then got gored again by Rhino on the stage. Poor guy.

– Backstage, The Rascalz (Trey Miguel & Zachary Wentz) spray painted the title belts in full view of the camera and my fellow viewers which Director of Authority Santino Marella didn’t care for. ABC then walked up and challenged them for the titles Bound for Glory. Sami Callihan & Rich Swann appeared and said they should get the shot. Marella said that since ABC’s title shot is locked in because of their briefcase, Miguel and Wentz will defend against Callihan and Swann next week.

– Chris Sabin sent a message to KENTA that he’s going to beat him at the Bound for Glory and remain X-Division Champion. There were more words, but you get the gist.

– We got next week’s lineup (listed below) which includes Edwards vs. Kazarian in a two-out-of-three falls Killer Impact match. What’s that? No idea as they didn’t explain it.

Josh Alexander defeated Kon (w/ Deaner)

Shelley sat in on commentary who will defend his World title against Alexander at this month’s BFG. I think I can predict how this will go: Deaner will interfere, Shelley will assist Alexander who will then beat Kon, and the two will go face-to-face because Alexander doesn’t need any help. Let’s see how I do.

This didn’t do much for me as the whole Design act feels dead to me. But, this is a TV match so I get it.

Alexander had Kon in a fireman’s carry and his boot knocked out the referee. Alexander kept up the attack and as he went to the outside of the ring, Deaner threatened with a chair. Shelley came to Alexander’s aid, but got nailed by Alexander instead by mistake.

Back in the ring, Alexander countered a move into the ankle lock. Kon fought him off, but Alexander eventually hit the C4 Spike piledriver for the pin. Shelley looked bemused at ringside and came into the ring to confront Alexander. As Alexander was walking away, Shelley pulled him back and hit Shellshock to the dismay of the fans. I wasn’t too far off, huh?

Next week:

  • Impact Tag Team Champions The Rascalz (Trey Miguel & Zachary Wentz) defend against Sami Callihan & Rich Swann
  • Jake Something vs. Dirty Dango vs. Jordynne Grace vs. Champagne Singh vs. Eric Young for no. 1 & no. 20 spots in the Call Your Shot Gauntlet match at Bound for Glory
  • Eddie Edwards vs. Frankie Kazarian in a two-out-of-three falls Killer Impact match

New for Bound for Glory:

  • ABC (Chris Bey & Ace Austin) face either The Rascalz or Callihan & Swann for the Impact Tag Team titles
  • Knockouts Tag Team Champions MK Ultra (Masha Slamovich & Killer Kelly) defend against Deonna Purrazzo & Tasha Steelz

Impact Wrestling live results: X-Division title on the line

Tonight, Impact Wrestling moves on from its 1000th episode and continues the road to Bound for Glory.

The X-Division Championship will be on the line as Chris Sabin defends against Alan Angels. Sabin, the most decorated wrestler in X-Division history, began his 10th reign with the championship by defeating Lio Rush at Impact 1000.

Angels put himself in line for an X-Division title shot by winning an Ultimate X match on Impact 1000.

Knockouts Champion Trinity is set for non-title action against Gisele Shaw. They were part of a star-studded 10-woman tag match at Impact 1000 where Trinity, Awesome Kong, Gail Kim, Mickie James & Jordynne Grace defeated Shaw, Savannah Evans, Angelina Love, Deonna Purrazzo & Tasha Steelz.

“Speedball” Mike Bailey vs. Jonathan Gresham is part of tonight’s lineup. Bailey has a match against Will Ospreay scheduled for Bound for Glory on October 21.

Tommy Dreamer & Heath vs. Kenny King & Sheldon Jean in a Memphis street fight, Rhino in action, and a goodbye ceremony for Yuya Uemura are also set for tonight. The BTI (Before the Impact) match is Sami Callihan & Rich Swann vs. Laredo Kid & Black Taurus.

**********

BFI Preshow

Iceman’s Intel saw George Iceman talk about hearing rumours that Trinity was going to be attacked by someone this week, but he couldn’t find out who it was, speculating that it could be someone new, or a returning star.

Sami Callihan & Rich Swann defeated Black Taurus & Laredo Kid

This was a very good tag match, though I am a bit surprised Callihan and Swann won with Callihan likely leaving Impact soon. Maybe he’ll work as a freelancer there instead.

Impact Wrestling Main Card

The show opened summarizing Impact 1000!

Impact X-Division Champion Chris Sabin defeated Alan Angels to retain

Angels is looking to build of his Ultimate X win, cashing in for his title shot right away, and isolating the arm of Sabin in the early part of the match. The heat segment here was long, with Sabin selling consistently for the first few minutes of the match, firing back every now and then with chops, adhering to the Ricky Steamboat method of selling.

Sabin hit a dropkick after Angels hit the ropes. Angels countered a Cradle Shock into a Rings of Saturn, but Sabin rolled it back into a pin attempt to break the submission. Sabin hit a Yakuza kick in the corner and went for a tornado DDT, but fought out and hit a tornado arm breaker. Angels went back to the Rings of Saturn, but Sabin went right to the ropes.

Angels shoved Sabin into the referee and hit a low blow before hitting the halo kick for a 2-count. Sabin dodged a splash and then hit a missile dropkick to the back of Angel’s head before hitting the Cradle Shock for the win.

–As Sabin celebrated, he was interrupted by a video highlighting KENTA, before announcing him returning at Bound for Glory. It looks like KENTA will be challenging Sabin at the PPV.

–Alex Shelley was with Gia Miller and talked about how he respected Josh Alexander, but that he was an emotional guy, so Alexander needs to respect him and the fact that Shelley is the current champion, and it is not Alexander’s belt. It is his until Alexander takes it. This was very good.

Rhino defeated Jack Price

Rhino crushed Price in this match, as Price acted as a pinball that was bounced around the ring for him. The crowd was super into Rhino, and popped huge when he hit a Gore for the win.

–Paying Rhino back for his attack from the last few weeks, Maclin came out and attacked Rhino. After a brawl, Rhino was left in the ring, with Maclin making a strategic retreat.

–Deonna Purrazzo walked up to Tasha Steelz and welcomed her back, asking to become a tag team, and Steelz agreed, since they both have a great championship lineage.

–Alisha Edwards and Eddie Edwards were backstage talking about how their feud with Kazarian wasn’t over, because while Traci Brooks beat Alisha Edwards, Kazarian did not beat him. Kazarian walked up and said that Edwards was right and that they needed to end it in the ring, and Kazarian was going to management to ask them to find a way for there to be a definitive winner.

–Joya made their way down to the ring for Yuya Uemura’s last appearance as a young lion in Impact. Hendry talked about how he had no regrets about teaming with Uemura, and then led the fans in a chant saying, “Thank you!” to Uemura. Just as Uemura was saying thanks to the fans, The Rascalz interrupted.

The Rascalz said that Joya was the only tag team in the company that had an excuse for not being champions because Uemura got fired, whereas the rest would lose to the best team. Hendry said that it was a bit ironic that Wentz & Miguel said that since they were the 2nd and 3rd best Rascal. Both groups broke into a brawl, and Santino’s music hit.

Santino them booked The Rascalz against Joya, though it isn’t a title match, but if Joya won, Uemura got to keep his job.

The Rascalz (Trey Miguel & Zachery Wentz) defeated Joya (Joe Hendry & Yuya Uemura)

Hendry started the match beating on Wentz before tagging out to Uemura. Miguel stunned Uemura on the middle rope and started getting the heat on Uemura. Wentz hit a slingshot senton for a 2-count. As this was happening the announcers noted that this was the first time someone who ever got the “fired” briefcase in Feast or Fired had a chance to save their career.

Hendry tagged in and hit fallaway slams on both Wentz and Miguel before grabbing both and tossing them at the same time with a 3rd fallaway slam. Hendry and Uemura hit the One Hit Wonder on Wentz, but he barely kicked out. The fans really started getting behind Uemura and Hendry here, with everyone exchanging big moves. They hit the One Hit Wonder on Miguel for another two count because Wentz made the save. This led to Miguel spraying Uemura in the face with spray paint and pinning him. Uemura is on his way back to New Japan.

–Gia Miller interviewed Gisele Shaw about Shaw’s upcoming match with Trinity. Shaw talked about beating Trinity tonight in order to get a match at Bound for Glory.

–Deaner was in a pretape video, and screamed about returning to his throne that Eric Young took.

Heath & Tommy Dreamer defeated Kenny King & Sheldon Jean in a Street Fight

This was your average plunder match, with Dreamer getting the win.

Dreamer and Heath started the match brawling all over ringside with King and Jean, and it was your standard hardcore match from there, with Dreamer using plunder and bumping into plunder, like King hitting a spinebuster into a garbage can. King choked Dreamer with his shirt, as Jean grabbed a chair. King yelled “This is your DMC?” at the audience, referring to the Digital Media Championship, but I can’t help but hear “Devil May Cry” and be momentarily confused. The pains of being a gamer and wrestling fan.

Heath ran in and hit a Wake Up Call on Jean. Heath setup a table in the corner as King and Jean recovered. Heath went to hit a Death Valley Driver through the table, but King saved Jean and hit a spinning kick. King went to the top rope but was cut off by Dreamer. Dreamer grabbed a ladder and bridged it in the corner, but King shoved Dreamer and he fell between the rungs. King hit a blockbuster on Dreamer, and then blocked a Wake Up Call from Heath. King hit a torneo plancha to the floor. Jean tried to hit a bionic elbow on Dreamer, but Dreamer picked him up and hit a Death Valley Driver through the table for the win.

–Crazzy Steve ran down to the ring and hit Dreamer with his briefcase, saying that Dreamer was his next target.

–Tom Hannifan announced the Impact Hall of Fame ceremony would be on the preshow for Bound for Glory.

–ABC was backstage talking about how the Rascalz paid off The Good Hands, but now they had their tag team title briefcase, and the Rascalz couldn’t keep them away forever. ABC then said they had unfinished business with the Good Hands, so they challenged them in a Fan’s Revenge match, where they can use leather straps against them. John Skylar walked up and said that as much as he would love to fight them, Jason Hotch was at home with his newborn baby. ABC then said it was simple – find a partner to take his place. Skylar insisted he had friends.

Jonathan Gresham defeated Mike Bailey

This match was great, and an awesome heel turn. It’s simplicity was fantastic, and played off the story that everyone was beating Gresham by cheating, and Gresham was tired of it. I really liked this.

Gresham entered the ring looking frustrated, as his Impact run thus far has been less than stellar, having to face people who didn’t abide by a pure wrestling rules style. Mike Bailey wanted to show him that there are still people in wrestling who prefer an honest, pure, and fair style. This led to many great exchanges in the early part of the match with technical wrestling mixed with a little high flying from Bailey.

Bailey and Gresham continue to be two incredible workers, and the fans gave them the reaction they deserve. Bailey hit a series of hard kicks on the floor, sending Gresham to his knees. Bailey then hit a corkscrew Asai moonsault to the floor on Gresham. Gresham, however, turned it around in the ring with a brutal looking Boston crab, but Bailey made the ropes to escape.

Gresham had a familiar exchange of vertical suplex attempts until Gresham was able to finally get one, before transitioning into a sleeper as soon as Bailey kicked out. Gresham hit a big back elbow, and as Bailey kicked out twice, Gresham went for a 3rd pinfall and yanked the tights to pin Bailey, cheating to win.

–Moose & Myers were backstage talking about how they dominated the tag division, which is a stretch, but since they are heels they can exaggerate. Moose said he was going to get a warm up next week for his future world title shot.

–Steve Maclin walked up to Bully Ray backstage and said that he helped Ray with PCO many times. Ray said that he would talk to Rhino for him, because they have been friends for 25 years. Maclin accused Ray of being soft, and nostalgic because he had Devon back.

Trinity defeated Gisele Shaw (w/ Jai Vidal & Savannah Evans)

This was easily Trinity’s best match in Impact thus far. Shaw brought out the best in Trinity and vice versa. Very good main event.

Trinity ducked under a clothesline attempt from Shaw before hitting a legdrop for a 2-count. Trinity chopped Shaw in the corner and hit a snapmare. Trinity danced around Shaw and hit a clothesline off the ropes for a 2-count. Shaw threw Trinity into the ring steps to start turning the match around. Shaw managed to hit a knee off the top rope while holding Trinity’s head, driving Trinity into the mat.

The fans were very into Trinity throughout this match, and even more so during the heat segment with chants and cheers. Shaw stepped on the back of Trinity’s head to a chorus of boos before hitting a snap suplex for a 2-count. Trinity managed to hit a Samoan drop after Shaw hit the ropes for a two count. Trinity hit a crossbody off the middle rope for a two count. Shaw responded with Shock & Awe for a two count, and Shaw began to show frustration.

Shaw went for a running knee, but Trinity dodged and hit a heatseeker on Shaw for a 2-count. As Shaw hit the ropes, Vidal accidentally tripped Shaw as the referee was distracted by Evans. Trinity immediately put on the Star Struck submission and got the win.

–Vidal and Evans attacked Trinity after the match but Mickie James ran down and made the save, and they both sent Evans and Vidal packing. Mickie James grabbed a mic and said that she was friends with Trinity, and that she would always have her back. James said that she was so happy to see Trinity come through the doors of Impact to win the Knockouts championship, but she did want a title shot as she has never faced Trinity in a match before.

James then talked about the rematch clause in her contract for the title James never lost, and challenged Trinity for a match at Bound for Glory. Trinity shook James’ hand as the show went off the air.

Final Thoughts

This was a very good Impact this week. Lots of angles being setup, and lots of interesting things heading into Bound for Glory. Nothing came off that George Iceman thing from before the show, but we will see if they return to that in the weeks to come.

BFI Preshow

George Iceman talked about all the returns to Impact for Impact 1000 and talked about how some of those returns were looking for long term deals with Impact.

Impact Knockouts World Tag Team Champions MK Ultra (Masha Slamovich & Killer Kelly) defeated The Death Dollz (Courtney Rush & Jessicka) to retain

A decent tag match that went back and forth for a bit, with MK Ultra retaining in a right call.

Impact Wrestling 1000 Night Two

The first match tonight was an ultimate X match to determine the next challenger for Chris Sabin’s X-Division championship.

Alan Angels defeated Rich Swann, Samuray del Sol, Mike Bailey, Ace Austin, Zachery Wentz in an Ultimate X match

Samuray took out a bunch of people to start the match, hitting a dive to the floor after a hurricanrana on multiple opponents. Rich Swann launched himself off the middle ropes to the floor onto everyone as well, before Mike Bailey and Ace Austin faced off in the ring. Austin hit a Fosbury flop to the floor and started climbing the post to get to the ropes.

Angels cut him off, and then Angels, Bailey, and del Sol were all on the post, and hit stereo moonsaults to the floor on the other three wrestlers. That was incredible. Bailey and Angels ended up fighting on top of the post, well above the ground and ring. Bailey hit some hard forearms and Angels’ leg ended up caught in the post as del Sol and Bailey approached from opposite sides to the X. Wentz and Angels shook the cables, and Austin was able to hit a flying kick to knock Samuray del Sol off.

Swann came in and hit a poisonrana on Wentz before trying to knock Angels off the ropes. Angels wrapped his legs around Swann’s head and hit a top rope hurricanrana off the ropes. Wentz then sprayed Swann with the spray paint, and did the same with del Sol. Angels and Austin climbed the ropes again as Bailey continued to try and make it to the middle. Angels, Austin, Wentz, and Bailey were all at the X and Wentz sprayed Austin with paint before Bailey kicked him off the ropes. Angels then kicked Bailey low and climbed across the ropes for the win.

–Alan Angels announced that he was going to cash in his X for next week against Chris Sabin.

Jake Something defeated Dirty Dango (w/ Alpha Bravo)

Alpha Bravo claimed Dango had something to get off his chests (yes, chests), and Dango said he hated wrestling. One fan on camera cheered. Why did that fan buy a ticket? This was a 10 minute time limit match with the Fox Box from the original Impact back on Fox Sportsnet back in the day. Chase Stevens, one half of the Naturals, was the judge, and could be seen talking into a headset backstage judging the match.

He was trying to act like he was watching the monitor rather than actually watching the monitor. Stevens, living up to the charisma he was known for back when he was on Impact when folks had difficulty remembering if he was the blonde haired or brown haired Natural. Dango hit a series of uppercuts in the corner on Something here. Dango missed a knee drop and Something worked his way to his feet.

Something hit a big spear in the corner and Dango rolled to the apron. Something shoved Dango off the apron and he took a hard flip bump off the apron. Bravo asked for a timeout, saying Dango was hurt. Bravo threatened Something with a flashlight, but Something ducked and Bravo hit Dango by accident. Something got the pin with Into the Void after.

–Steve Maclin was backstage talking about how when he started something, he intended to finish it. He said he failed to end the career of Rhino before, so he was going to now. Rhino screamed “Maclin!” and speared him through some equipment boxes. Apparently he failed to stop him again.

–Santino was with Rhino, and Santino said he went too far. Rhino said that Maclin tried to end his career, so this was on him. I’m with Rhino on this one, given Maclin’s actions.

Eric Young (w/ Scott D’Amore) defeated Kenny King (w/ Sheldon Jean) via DQ

Eric Young came out to the Canadian National Anthem with Scott D’Amore in his corner to a nice pop from the crowd. This match did not last long as Sheldon Jean attacked Young right in front of the referee. Scott D’Amore hit Jean with the Canadian flag to clear the ring.

–Shark Boy came out and restarted it as a tag match, since he was the Deputy Director of Authority.

Team Canada (Eric Young & Scott D’Amore) defeated Kenny King & Sheldon Jean via DQ

The Design immediately ran in and attacked Team Canada for the DQ.

–Shark Boy came out again and said that it would be an 8-man tag now, in the Russo tribute segment with how many non-finishes we got here with wacky booking, but I suspect it’ll end better than Russo’s booking ever did as Shark Boy announced that Team Canada would have tag partners.

America’s Most Wanted (Chris Harris & James Storm) & Team Canada (Eric Young & Scott D’Amore) defeated Kenny King, Sheldon Jean, & The Design (Deaner & Kon)

Chris Harris looked really good in this match. He would get in, hit his spots, and get out with no problems. As did Scott D’Amore. James Storm looked fantastic, and like he could still work main events if they needed him to, so I hope he is one of the guys that sticks around. This was lots of fun, and did indeed end better than anything Russo has booked.

Sheldon Jean raked the eyes of James Storm after some double team offence with Chris Harris before King tagged in and took down Storm with a drop toe hold. Deaner cheated to get the advantage on Young, letting King and co. get the heat on him over the next few minutes. Young hit a Death Valley Driver on Kon after a few moments and tagged out to Storm. Storm ran wild clearing the ring, and taking on both Jean and King. Jean was able to hit a leg lariat and drop Storm.

King hit an incredible blockbuster on Young, and Harris took out King with a lariat. Kon and Harris faced off and started exchanging punches. Harris got the better of it and then sent King to the floor onto his own partner. Deaner went for a DDT, but got hit with a superkick from Storm. Harris saved Storm from an attack, letting Eric Young hit a piledriver on Jean for the win.

–The folks waiting for the Feast or Fired results were backstage.

–A video aired of Brother Devon and Bully Ray in the ring after their reunion match, and Ray talked about how he wouldn’t have wanted to reunite with Brother Devon anywhere else as Ray led the fans in an Impact Wrestling chant. Devon said that the fans were why he came back after having back surgery and a stroke, before finishing the promo with his classic “Oh, my brother, testify!” This was really great.

–David LeGreca presided over the Feast or Fired segment. Each group talked about what they wanted, with no one saying they wanted to be fired, which would have been funny. Everyone was looking for tag title shots, except for Crazzy Steve, who wanted a heart, liver, or lungs. Crazzy Steve got a Digital Media Championship title shot.

Moose got a Impact World title shot, and Myers left with him disappointed. LaGreca kept calling them championship opportunities, which just stop, my dude. This isn’t WWE. ABC then got the Impact World Tag Team title shot, meaning Yuya Uemura was then fired from Impact. Looks like he’s returning to New Japan, hopefully to become on of their aces. Hendry looked sad. Uemura and Hendry were actually great in selling the sadness here, despite it being rather predictable.

Josh Alexander defeated Trey Miguel

Josh Alexander is awesome, and the booking of this make Miguel look like a geek, but since he is a cheating heel, it is okay. Alexander killing Miguel in what was essentially a squash was still awesome.

Trey Miguel did not really understand what he was getting himself into with this match, as Alexander beat the living heck out of him with hard chops and strikes. Miguel got some brief offence in the opening part, but Alexander threw him around the ring like he weight nothing, hitting a twisting torture rack bomb that sent Miguel across the ring.

Miguel was able to get a brief advantage after attacking the formerly injured left arm of Alexander, but Alexander shrugged him off and killed him with a lariat with his right arm instead. Miguel fought out of a fireman’s carry and hit a headscissors off the top rope before hitting a meteora, but Alexender used Miguel’s momentum to roll into an ankle lock. Wentz managed to help Miguel get away, but as he tried to interfere, Alex Shelley came down and saved him, taking out Wentz. Alexander hit the C4 Spike on Miguel for the win.

–Alexander thanked Shelley for the help, saying that he wished he had it other times from Shelley. Shelley said that he shouldn’t get his signals confused – Shelley did this to hurt The Rascalz instead of helping Alexander. Alexander said that he was going to take his title back at Bound for Glory.

–Mike Bailey vs. Will Ospreay was announced for Bound for Glory.

–Jonathan Gresham walked up to Mike Bailey and the traded some playful barbs about recent losses, before setting a best of 7 matches up for each other,

–The Rascalz were recovering backstage and John Skylar walked up, looking to finally secure a promised title shot for his team. The Rascalz said that it wasn’t the time, and it was then that ABC walked in, catching the Good Hands colluding with The Rascalz, saying that it didn’t matter since they had a guaranteed shot thanks to Feast or Fired. Skylar said that it didn’t guarantee anything, before appealing to The Rascalz, who quietly exited the room while Skylar wasn’t looking, making him look like a total geek. Which was the point, and it was great.

Trinity, Jordynne Grace, Mickie James, Gail Kim, & Awesome Kong (w/ Raisha Saeed) defeated Deonna Purrazzo, Tasha Steelz, Gisele Shaw, Savannah Evans, & Angelina Love (w/ Jai Vidal & Velvet Sky)

This was not the best match in terms of match quality you will ever see, but the nostalgia was strong and it was fun. The legends got a chance to show their stuff, and Awesome Kong did not have to actually take a bump, which was best for her, as she just threw strikes and a few moves.

Trinity started the match with Love, who did not take kindly to Trinity showing her up. Grace and Purrazzo were in next, and Grace slammed and suplexed Shaw all over the ring. Steelz and James were in the ring and picked up where they left off after their last match with James dropping Steez and then facing off against Purrazzo. Evans started getting a little heat on James, which is clearly building to the hot tag for Gail Kim.

Kim got a huge pop for her return for the ring after James shoved Evans Purrazzo away. Kim hit a great headscissors and wrist lock combo on Purrazzo and Shaw. Once they were on the apron, Gail Kim was pulled off the apron by Velvet Sky, and Kim crashed hard to the floor. I suspect this is where she got rocked. Mickie James was immediately at her side, and Tasha Steelz rushed in to slow it down to give her a chance to recover.

Shaw came in and tried to get the better of Kim, but Kim did a rotation into an Octopus stretch. Shaw hit a backbreaker and a flatliner for a 2-count, but it was broken up by James. Kim and Purrazzo both went for crossbodies and crashed into each other. Kim tagged out to Kong, who ran wild, letting everyone run to her. Savannah Evans tried to chokeslam Kong, but Kong clotheslined her as the fans chanted “Kong is gonna kill you!”

Love and Purrazzo dumped Kong to the floor, but James and Trinity made the save, and Trinity hit a tope to the floor on both Love and Purrazzo. Steelz hit a dive onto everyone. Kim climbed to the top rope and hit a plancha onto everyone on the floor. Shaw was left in the ring facing everyone while Awesome Kong emerged behind Shaw. Shaw realized Kong was there and ate a spinning backfist and a chokeslam from Kong. Kong then picked up Shaw and hit the Implant Buster for the win. Awesome Kong looked a bit injured at the end, but celebrated with everyone as the show went off the air.

–The Beautiful People laid out Jai Vidal as he argued with them about the match, and they put a paper bag over his head as the women in the ring celebrated.

Impact Wrestling live results: The fallout from Emergence

In the first Impact Wrestling on AXS TV since last Sunday’s Emergence, a new no. 1 contender for the Knockouts title will be crowned.

Ten women will compete in a battle royal with the winner moving on to challenge current champion Trinity at next month’s Victory Road. Participants include Alisha Edwards, Masha Slamovich, Killer Kelly, Gisele Shaw, Jessicka, KiLynn King, Jody Threat, Savannah Evans, Vanna Black and Courtney Rush.

IWGP World Champion SANADA will return to Impact TV for the first time in years as he teams with Jake Something and Frankie Kazarian to take on Moose, Brian Myers and Eddie Edwards.

After defeating Deaner in a no DQ match Sunday, Eric Young will now face The Design’s Kon.

After nearly attacking Tom Hannifan due to a breakdown during a sit-down interview last Thursday, Crazzy Steve will be in action.

As he awaits his X-Division title match against Lio Rush, KUSHIDA will face Drilla Moloney on the BTI pre-show.

**********

BTI pre-show: KUSHIDA defeated Drilla Moloney

KUSHIDA came out with what looked like a new hairdo. This was a 6-minute match, but as about a good a 6-minute match you can have. We also were told by Gia Miller that Moloney was experiencing an extended period of teen angst into his adulthood. One guy yelled “boo” a lot and the fans laughed.

Main Card:

–The recap video from Emergence aired as Impact went on the air, and it made Emergence look like an all time exciting PPV while driving forward the main stories. This was very well done. Impact has some of the best recap videos in the business.

Alisha Edwards won a battle royal to earn a Knockouts title shot at Victory Road

Participants included Gisele Shaw, Savannah Evans, Edwards, Vanna Black, Jody Threat, Killer Kelly, Masha Slamovich, Jessicka, Courtney Rush and KiLynn King.

Black was the first elimination, being thrown out by Slamovich and Kelly. Kelly was dumped out of the ring by Evans while Slamovich was thrown out by Shaw, meaning that we are likely seeing a tag match between those two teams soon. Rush rushed (pun intended) Shaw and hit a lariat that sent Shaw to the floor.

I missed when Edwards got thrown out, but noticed she was gone as King eliminated Jessicka. King and Threat showed shockingly good teamwork as they eliminated Evans with a flying knee and a dropkick. King hit a big kick and a neutralizer that Claudio Castagnoli would applaud. Threat came back with a pump kick and double knees and a German suplex on King. Edwards ran back in and threw out King and Threat while they were tangled in the ropes to win the match. Apparently she wasn’t eliminated and I didn’t miss it.

– Josh Alexander met with the Motor City Machine Guns after causing them the match at Sunday’s Emergence. Shelley told him that if he wanted a shot at him, he should take care of what he needs to with Maclin. The Rascalz (Trey Miguel and Zachary Wentz) walked in and mocked Sabin and Shelley, and Sabin said that he was going to put him in his place later tonight. Good segment.

– Eddie Edwards celebrated with Alisha Edwards because she won the battle royal. She said that everyone thought she was just a champion’s wife, but now they were the real power couple in Impact and she was coming for the title. This may have been the best promo she has ever done.

– Crazzy Steve came out wearing a very creepy mask, and looked almost zombie like with his makeup. Gimmick change achieved. I loved his segments with Tom Hannifan, so we shall see if this translates to the ring well. The announcers really sold this well with Hannifan looking shaken up.

Mike Bailey defeated Crazzy Steve via DQ

Steve started the match by gouging the eyes of Bailey and then taking out the referee. He pulled a fork out and screamed that he was going to take Bailey’s eyes.

Black Taurus came out and tried to talk some sense into Steve, but Steve dropped him and gouged the mask of Taurus. Oops. Not that I wanted to see him actually gouge the eyes of Taurus. He did a better job with the security that tried to pull him off.

– Brian Myers, Moose and Eddie Edwards were backstage, and it seemed like Moose was trying to bring him into their tag team partnership. Edwards insisted he was different from Bully Ray because he was on a roll right now. Bully Ray walked up and said they had a PCO problem. Myers said Bully Ray had a problem with PCO, and Moose reminded Ray of his long list of burned bridges, and they were no longer The Scumbags anymore. Short lived stable right there. You could hear PCO yelling somewhere in the background for Bully Ray.

PCO then chased Bully Ray around the backstage area and stuck his arm through a door to try and get to him like out of a horror movie. Though, unlike a horror movie, PCO responded to Ray screaming “Carl! Stop!” PCO said “You tried to kill me!” Ray insisted that he didn’t, but was trying to kill the monster so the man could come back. He said he set him on fire because he cared about him. That sounds like an abusive friendship right there, but then again, I’ve never been friends with a French Canadian Frankenstein. PCO appeared to listen to this. Weird.

Eric Young defeated Kon

This was a fairly dull match, but Young continued to be a great worker while Kon was aggressively average.

The announcers noted Deaner couldn’t be there due to the injuries suffered in his match with Young. This makes me think he will be running in before the end of it, but I do hope he’d be selling the barbed wire boards for a little longer.. The crowd got into last half of the match when Young hit a Death Valley Driver and Kon kicked out.

Young went to the top rope to hit an elbow, but Kon cut him off but Young bit Kon and hit the elbow drop for another two that the fans expected to be the finish. Young went for a piledriver, but Kon blocked it and hit a Full Nelson slam for a 2-count. Young responded by hitting a piledriver on the floor. Kon barely made it back in and screamed for Young to finish it, so Young hit a second piledriver for the win.

– Lio Rush was backstage and said that he heard that Chris Sabin wanted to get back in the ring with him for the X-Division title. Rush then wondered out loud why he was wrestling Wentz later, showing he wasn’t taking their potential rematch seriously. KUSHIDA walked up and said he wanted Rush at Victory Road and was cashing in his X for the shot.

– Deonna Purrazzo was with Gia Miller and talked about how she experienced opposition before and that she was upset about Jordynne Grace stealing her spotlight at Emergence. Purrazzo then challenged Grace to a match at Victory Road, saying Grace has never been able to beat her. Purrazzo took on a more heelish tone in this promo, which explains why she was on the heel team for the announced matches at Impact 1000.

Chris Sabin (w/ Alex Shelley) defeated Zachary Wentz (w/ Trey Miguel)

Very good match between these two, with Sabin looking awesome as usual, and Wentz showing he can hang with one of the best in the world.

Sabin spent the early part of the match grounding Wentz and working over his shoulder. Wentz was able to recover once he pulled Sabin through the middle ropes and hit a plancha over the top rope. Wentz took this opportunity to try and pay Sabin back for working the shoulder and arm, forcing Sabin to get to the ropes while Wentz taunted Shelley on the floor.

Sabin hit a heel kick to drop Wentz and followed with a Manhattan Drop and a straight jacket release suplex. Sabin hit a tornado DDT for a 2-count. Wentz ended firing back with a superkick and a half nelson slam for a two count. Sabin did a rolling half crab out of Lance Storm’s playbook, and transitioned into an STF. Shelley dropped Miguel on the floor, letting Sabin hit a dive onto both Miguel and Wentz, and hit a cradle shock on Wentz for the win.

Trey Miguel attacked Sabin after the match, but Alex Shelley quickly got to the ring and The Rascalz bailed. It looks like we’re heading toward a MCMG vs. Rascalz match soon.

– ABC was backstage and Austin and Bey congratulated The Rascalz on becoming the Impact Tag Team Champions, noting that they had to cheat to win, although they didn’t begrudge them for it. They are gunning for the tag titles in the near future. ABC accused The Rascalz of paying off The Good Hands to attack them, but the Rascalz said that they did it because it was personal and they would fight them soon.

-Santino was backstage and Subculture walked up asking for their Tag Team title rematch. Sami Callihan and Rich Swann walked up and asked for a title match too because they were screwed by The Rascalz as well. Santino said the MCMG would be facing The Rascalz at Victory Road, so Callihan and Swann could face Subculture and the winner would get The Rascalz. JOYA (Joe Hendry & Yuya Uemura) walked up and scared Santino and made it clear they wanted a title match when Uemura said, “CHAMPION!” but Santino said they needed to climb the ranks.

Kenny King/Tommy Dreamer segment

King said that he wasn’t surprised Toronto hated him, as he was the best athlete the city has seen since Kawhi Leonard. Dreamer came down and talked about how King beat Johnny Swinger as Swinger gave all he could. Swinger apparently learned just before the match that his father-in-law died and had to leave the show early after the match. Swinger and Dreamer texted throughout the night, noting that the women killed it in the ring in the main event.

Dreamer learned that King didn’t watch the match, and didn’t care about anyone else in the company, and with Impact 1000 coming up, he couldn’t accept that. King said he was only Dreamer said if King wanted a top spot, why didn’t he do something about it and try to take out the old guard, putting over Chris Jericho, Sting, and PCO. Dreamer then offered to put his career on the line against King for the Digital Media Championship.

– An incredible video for Awesome Kong aired, highlighting her career, and it ended with Gail Kim announcing she was coming back too, for the all star ten Knockouts tag team match.

– Steve Maclin was in a pre-taped promo, talking about how time makes him dangerous, because he is willing to wait to strike at the right time. Maclin said that it was finally time for him to hit his high value target in Josh Alexander at Victory Road. Good stuff here.

– Will Ospreay will be part of Impact’s UK tour in October as he was announced for Turning Point in Newcastle, England. The show will air on Impact Plus in early-November.

Frankie Kazarian, Jake Something & SANADA defeated Moose, Brian Myers & Eddie Edwards

The mission to establish Something as… something continues. This was a good main event. Rarely is a six-man tag with guys like this bad, and this proves the old rule that Bryan & Vinny had for Raw – end the show with a six-man tag and you will get a great match that the crowd gets into.

When SANADA came out and the voice of Taka Michinoku said, “Just 5 Guys” a fan yelled loudly “I love Five Guys!” and I laughed. Kazarian and Myers started the match, but it wasn’t long before Jake Something was beating on Myers. Poor Myers, he just keeps getting beat up by everyone. He called for a timeout and rolled to the floor while Edwards and Moose comforted him in his distress. Something hit a dive over the ropes onto everyone as the camera cut to Dango & Bravo backstage taking in the match.

Myers was able to start getting the heat on SANADA when Moose hit him with a knee behind the back of the referee. SANADA had a brief comeback by putting the paradise lock on Edwards and drop toeing Myers into Edwards. Moose cut him off though, and soon Myers was back to working over Myers. This heat segment continued for several minutes, and made me realize I want to see Eddie Edwards in the G1 as he chopped SANADA.

SANADA made a tag to Kazarian and he finally got his hands on Edwards. Something came on and dropped Edwards, and Something hit an incredible pop up powerbomb on Moose. This got a massive reaction from the crowd, and I think as long as he keeps doing stuff like that he’ll do fine in this Impact run. Everyone continued to hit moves everywhere until it came down to Edwards and Kazarian, and both men went over the top rope with a suplex attempt. Something dodged a roster cut and got sent Into the Void with Something hit a black hole slam. Honestly, I’d use the pop up powerbomb as a finish instead of that.

Final Thoughts:

Solid episode of Impact tonight that actually setup all the matches at Victory Road quite well, despite the short time to build it. Like AEW, I’m not sure if running nearly back to back Impact Plus events is a good idea, as it is easy to burn out an audience with 3 big shows in 5 weeks, but Victory Road is shaping up to be a great card as well.

Impact Wrestling live results: Slammiversary go-home show

Days before she defends her title at Slammiversary, Knockouts Champion Deonna Purrazzo will put her title on the line on Thursday’s Impact on AXS TV in an open challenge.

Purrazzo will defend against Trinity on Saturday’s pay-per-view if she is able to survive whoever steps up Thursday.

Ahead of their Ultimate X match Saturday, “Speedball” Mike Bailey will take on NJPW’s Kevin Knight.

The Rascalz will look to punch their ticket into a multi-team Tag Team title match Saturday if Zachary Wentz can defeat Chris Bey in singles action.

Two of the teams involved in that title match will go head-to head as Moose & Brian Myers take on Rich Swann & Sami Callihan.

Digital Media Champion Joe Hendry teams with Yuya Uemura against Kenny King & Sheldon Jean. Hendry will defend his title against King on Saturday.

The BTI pre-show match will be Dirty Dango vs. Heath after the two have been on a collision course in recent weeks.

**********

Dirty Dango defeated Heath

Santino Marella joined the commentary desk for this match, talking about his issues with Dirty Dango. Part way through the match, Dango cussed about Santino’s daughter, which set him off, and resulted in Dango decking Santino as security held Santino back. Heath hit the wake up call on Dango, but Dango got his foot on the ropes, and then rolled up Heath before putting his feet on the ropes again, but this time to cheat to get the pin.

Impact Wrestling Main Show

We were shown highlights of Deaner on Busted Open Radio with Bully Ray, where he explained why he wanted to take the injured Steve Maclin’s place against PCO and Scott D’Amore, with Deaner saying Jeff Jarrett was the guy who brought him into TNA, and D’Amore has always had a grudge against him.

Zachary Wentz (w/ Trey Miguel) defeated Chris Bey (w/ Ace Austin)

This was an excellent opening match, typical of that X-Division style Impact became famous for (one of the few positives in those early TNA days). Bey and Wentz put on a great, fast paced match that setup the tag title match for the future.

After a series of quick exchanges, Chris Bey got distracted on the floor by Trey Miguel, letting Wentz to hit a kick to Bey to drop him. Wentz and Miguel cheated behind the referee’s back, allowing Wentz to get the heat for a few minutes. Bey countered a shoulder lock into an arm drag and soon hit a Code Red for a 2-count. Bey called for a “too sweet” chant from the crowd, and Miguel got on the apron.

Ace Austin pulled Miguel from the apron, and Miguel sprayed spray paint into the eyes of Austin and superkicked him. Chris Bey hit a dropkick through the middle and bottom ropes, and skinned the cat back into the ring, but got hit with a spray paint can in the gut by Wentz, who then hit a cravat into a DDT on Bey for the win.

–The Rascalz walked up to Santino and Scott D’Amore and asked Santino for a tag title match for Slammiversary, but Santino refused because they cheated. Miguel said that he would pay for that.

–A short promo video aired for Alex Shelley and Nick Aldis, highlighting their story, focusing particularly Alex Shelley’s career for nearly 20 years in Impact. It then shifted focus to Aldis and his journey back to Impact and his own history in TNA, before going back to Shelley saying that he was one of the ones that reinvented the wheel, and didn’t get to where he was by being over 6 feet tall, or a big guy, but by wrestling in a way that inspired an entire new generation of wrestlers.

He isn’t wrong. Alex Shelley is one of the most influential wrestlers of the last 20 years with his in ring work (particularly while teaming with Sabin), as they were mentors to the Young Bucks and countless others. This was awesome.

Mike Bailey defeated Kevin Knight

Mike Bailey and Kevin Knight delivered a PPV quality match on free TV here. This was awesome, and Bailey gave Knight a ton and made him look like he could win at any moment. Excellent match.

This match did not disappoint, with Knight and Bailey flying all over the place right away. Knight tried to hit a plancha over the ropes to the floor, but Bailey ran into the ring, hit the ropes and as Knight got back onto the apron, hit a pump kick and then a triangle moonsault to the floor. Incredible.

Bailey hit his series of kicks in the ring before hitting an enziguri and slamming Knight to the mat again. Bailey hit two knees to the back of Knight and got a 2-count. Bailey hit a sole butt and a series of hard kicks to Knight before going for a standing shooting star press. Knight moved, but Bailey landed on his feet. Knight got up and hit an Okada style dropkick, and then a second one shortly thereafter as Bailey was seated on the top rope.

Knight went for a springboard, but Bailey superkicked the ropes to kick them out from under his feet before hitting flying knees off the top rope onto the back of Knight for another 2-count. Knight hit a hurricanrana on Bailey who was seated on the top rope by jumping up and hitting it, but Bailey got up and hit a superkick as Knight dived towards Bailey.

Bailey went to the top rope and Knight leapt to the top rope and hit a top rope superplex for a 2-count. Bailey and Knight exchanged pinfall attempts before Knight went for a jumping DDT, but Bailey dumped him over his head into the corner and hit a tornado kick before hitting Ultima Weapon for the win. Fantastic match.

–Masha Slamovich and Killer Kelly had a video package where they talked about how they were going to destroy the Coven at Slammiversary. This was a very good promo.

–Joe Hendry came out and cut a promo on Kenny King, calling him “Stripper Kenny,” but noted that the fans chanting it would hurt his feelings, so the fans chanted it. Hendry then said that the fans believed in him, and his tag partner Yuya Uemura.

Kenny King & Sheldon Jean defeated Joe Hendry & Yuya Uemura

This was all sorts of fun. Perfect comedy match.

Kenny King wore a sweater throughout this match, as he did not want the fans chanting “Stripper Kenny” at him, and Hendry told him that he shouldn’t be ashamed. They worked spots around that until Hendry went for a power bomb, and grabbed the sweater. King tried to escape, and since Hendry was holding the sweater, the sweater was left with Hendry. King immediately tried to hide his chest, and ran from the ring and out of Center Stage. Hendry then hit the Standing Ovation on Sheldon Jean for the win. This recap does not do this tag match justice, but that spot was hilarious.

–Lio Rush had a promo video where he talked about how he came to Impact to win the X-Division championship. This was very good.

–Chris Sabin was with Gia Miller and talked about how Lio Rush was one of the most talented wrestler he has ever seen, but that he was arrogant, and cocky, but smart because found the cheat code to jump ahead of everyone else in line, but now he had to face the final boss, Chris Sabin. Good promo.

Moose & Brian Myers defeated Sami Callihan & Rich Swann

Myers and Swann started the match, with Myers shoving Swann to the mat. Callihan helped flip Swann off the apron onto both Moose and Myers on the floor. Moose shoved Swann off the top rope to the floor, and Myers pounced on Swann, hitting mounted punches on the floor. Moose continued to get the heat on Swann when they came back from break, hitting a big uranage on Swann before tagging out to Myers.

Swann managed to make the tag, and Callihan hit a DDT on Myers and a flatliner on Moose at the same time, before hitting a combo bulldog and clothesline on both men too. Moose and Callihan hit headbutts on each other before dropping each other with clotheslines. Swann hit a handspring cutter on Myers, but Moose shoved Callihan into Swann to break the pin. Moose and Myers kept having miscommunications, leading to Callihan sending Swann to the top rope with a hurricanrana on Moose.

Callihan hit a Death Valley Driver and then Swann hit a 450 splash, but Moose kicked out. Callihan went for a Cactus Driver on Moose, but Myers pulled Swann from the ring, distracting the referee, letting Moose hit a low blow on Callihan and a spear for the win.

–Subculture cut a promo via video, saying that they were going to win the Impact Tag Team titles at Slammiversary and they were doing it for anyone that felt left out, or like an outcast.

–Alan Angels had a promo video, talking about how he was in this match to win the Ultimate X match to become the #1 contender to Sabin’s X-Division championship. This promo also made it clear that he was no longer in The Design.

–After running down the card for Slammiversary, Nick Aldis had a promo video for his journey back to Impact and hit title match against Alex Shelley. Aldis said he was sick of the “you deserve it” mentality, and called Shelley a huge hypocrite, saying it was utter nonsense that the Machine Guns owned the house that was Impact Wrestling. Aldis said that it was ridiculous that they built Impact, because they weren’t there when he beat Jeff Hardy, Sting, Samoa Joe, and Kurt Angle. Aldis claimed that Impact management wanted him as champion, and it was on Alex Shelley to prove he wasn’t a transitional champion, and if Shelley could beat him, it would prove his legacy, but it was up to him. Excellent promo.

–Deonna Purrazzo came down to the ring to issue an open challenge for the Impact Knockouts Championship.

Impact Knockouts Champion Deonna Purrazzo defeated Jody Threat to retain

Purrazzo immediately played to her strengths, going for are more ground based and technical match, while Threat tried to counter, with limited success. Before going to the break, Purrazzo did a Pentagon Jr. style arm break spot and continued to work over the arm when they came back from break. Purrazzo tried to suplex Threat from the top rope, but Threat managed to turn it around and hit a suplex on Purrazzo instead. Threat hit the ropes and hit a pump kick and double knees to the back of Purrazzo before hitting a German suplex for a 2-count.

Threat went to the top rope and hit a cannonball off the top rope before hitting a clothesline for a 2-count. Threat went for a burning hammer, but Purrazzo landed on her feat and as Threat charged Purrazzo, Purrazzo countered into a Fujiwara armbar, but Threat got to the ropes. Threat hit a Michinoku Driver on Purrazzo for a 2-count. Purrazzo countered a F416 into Venus de Milo and got the submission for the win.

–Gisele Shaw and Savannah Evans ran down to attack both Threat and Purrazzo, which brought out the Death Dollz, which brought out The Coven, which brought out Killer Kelly & Masha Slamovich, which brought out Trinity, and both Trinity and Purrazzo cleared the ring before breaking into a brawl with each other that security had to separate. All teams broke off into their own feuds, with The Coven brawling with Slamovich and Kelly, and Shaw and Evans brawling with the Death Dollz.

–Impact closed with a final hype video for Impact Slammiversary, which was excellent.

–The show closed with Scott D’Amore on the phone, saying they tried everything, and apparently this time PCO can’t come back to life, but he was wondering if the person on the phone could, before focusing on a Team Canada jersey. I think we may see Eric Young return to Impact here, since he died on screen when Deaner killed him, and it would fit for him getting revenge on Deaner.

Final Thoughts

Excellent go home show for Slammiversary from Impact tonight, as every major match got good promotion tonight with hype videos, promos, and angles. This is making me look forward to the show a lot, which is saying something on a weekend that also features AEW Collision and the first two nights of the G1 Climax in NJPW! Well done, Impact.

Impact Wrestling live results: The fallout from Slammiversary

After Sunday’s Slammiversary, the build to July 1st’s Against All Odds begins Thursday as Impact World Champion Josh Alexander takes on Violent By Design’s Deaner in non-title action.

Alexander defeated VBD leader Eric Young at Sunday’s Slammiversary and will defend the title against VBD member Joe Doering at Against All Odds.

After being involved in Sunday’s Queen of the Mountain match, Mia Yim will face Chelsea Green. Yim pushed Green and Deonna Purrazzo off a ladder through two tables Sunday, so Green will be looking for a measure of revenge.

In a tag match coming out of Sunday’s reverse battle royal, Shark Boy returns to Impact TV as he teams with Bhupinder Gujjar against Johnny Swinger and Zicky Dice.

The BTI pre-show match will see the returning Andrew Everett against Black Taurus.

**********

Black Taurus (w/Crazzy Steve) defeated Andrew Everett on the BTI pre-show

**********

The opening video showed highlights from Slammiversary led in by the magical voice of Mike Tenay.

Honor No More promo

The show opened with Honor No More headed to the ring with a purpose as Eddie Edwards grabbed the mic while Mike Bennett hijacked a camera to shoot their promo. Edwards stated there was a reason TNA Wrestling left Nashville and that the fans should be cheering them and not the Impact Originals. Edwards stated that the Impact Originals didn’t win the match at Slammiversary and HNM didn’t lose the match at Slammiversary before singling out PCO.

Vincent grabbed the mic and defended PCO and then called out the interference by Traci Brooks and the poor officiating by Earl Hebner in their match at Slammiversary before Matt Taven took the mic. Taven stated that even though Impact Wrestling has been around for twenty years, it’s been a mediocre twenty years. Taven stated that he saved Ring of Honor in 2019 and while he didn’t kill ROH, he saved Impact Wrestling. Before Taven could say anything more, HNM was interrupted by America’s Most Wanted.

James Storm reminded Honor No More who they were and stated they came from a generation of toughness unlike the generation of HNM. Kenny King grabbed the mic and questioned what year it was before Chris Harris took exception and stated that while his years in the ring have had their effect, he’ll go down with Storm and AMW. Harris then introduced his new friends, Tag Team Champions The Good Brothers.

A brawl ensued in the ring before Taven and Bennett challenged Harris outside of the ring. Harris wouldn’t fight but didn’t back down either. The Briscoes then hit the ring to further even the odds, sending HNM running as Vincent was being nailed with the Magic Killer by The Good Brothers.

– Backstage, Gisele Shaw confronted Alisha about her choices as of late. The two mixed words before Shaw stated that Alisha should start tagging with Lady Frost while she looks for a partner that will take her to the Knockouts Tag Team Championship.

– Backstage, an extremely angry Honor No More confronted Scott D’Amore. D’Amore stated that he was going to give them an opportunity. At Against All Odds, it will be them battling James Storm, The Good Brothers and The Briscoes in a 10-man tag team match. D’Amore then stated he was going to give them a further opportunity and put Bennett, Taven and Edwards in the main event tonight in a six-man tag team match against Storm and The Briscoes.

Mia Yim defeated Chelsea Green (w/ Deonna Purrazzo)

Purrazzo joined commentary after Green made her ring entrance. Green missed a running boot right after the bell rang and stayed on focus, gaining the upper hand early on. The match spilled to the outside and Yim was able to nail Green with a suplex on the floor.

Back from commercial, Yim had Green in a modified surfboard before Green was able to make a comeback using her long limbs to her advantage. Unfortunately, Green’s momentum never fully took shape as she was either too busy showboating or too busy chatting with Purrazzo on commentary which, at one point, saw her locked in a tarantula by Yim.

Yim nailed a powerbomb but Green was able to kick out at two. Yim missed an Eat Defeat and momentum finally started going Green’s way as she hit Denied followed by a Stomp but only managed a two count as well. A frustrated Green attempted an Eat Defeat of her own but Yim blocked it and turned it into a german suplex for another two count. Yim then nailed a cannonball in the corner and a massive powerbomb but couldn’t put Green away.

Both ladies were now frustrated and Yim climbed to the top rope but Purrazzo came off of commentary to send her flying while the referee wasn’t looking. Mickie James then ran down to the ring and took out Purrazzo as Green failed to hit the UnPrettyHer. Yim capitalized with a successful Eat Defeat for the victory.

-Backstage, Gia Miller was with former Knockouts tag champions, The Influence. Madison Rayne had a busted up nose courtesy of Tenille Dashwood’s head stemming from this past Sunday’s Slammiversary. The two started jaw jacking before Gisele Shaw interrupted. Shaw stated she was looking for a new tag team partner, but Dashwood took exception and started to leave. Rayne stopped her and said that if Shaw could take out Rosemary or Taya Valkyrie, maybe there was an opportunity.

Shark Boy & Bhupinder Gujjar defeated Johnny Swinger & Zicky Dice

The match started with Shark Boy and Swinger. The fans did dueling chants before Swinger landed a cheap shot and tagged out.

Dice and Gujjar tagged in and Gujjar immediately gained the upper hand. Gujjar tagged a hungry Shark Boy back in who immediately showed Dice that he had some sharp teeth. Dice was able to land a small bit of offense thanks to the heel tactics but it wasn’t long before Gujjar was back in the match, nailing a Samoan drop for a two count before Swinger made the save.

All four men got in the ring and Swinger and Dice were thrown into each other. Shark Boy nailed Swinger with the Chummer while Gujjar nailed Dice with the Gargoyle Spear for the win.

VBD attacks

After the match, Deaner and Joe Doering of Violent By Design hit the ring to attack everyone. At this point I’m thinking, “Deaner you have an upcoming match against the current world champion who just destroyed your leader this past Sunday. Why are you wasting your energy?”

VBD destroyed all four men and Deaner grabbed the mic, stating that they weren’t going anywhere until Josh Alexander came down to the ring. Alexander didn’t wait long as he headed down to the ring to confront Deaner and Doering.

Alexander stated that he was getting ready for their match later tonight but was here now. Deaner, calling Alexander by Joshua, stated that Doering was undefeated and would be taking the world championship home for VBD at Against All Odds.

Alexander took exception and asked where Eric Young was. Alexander stated that this didn’t seem like a Young callout but a Deaner callout. Alexander asked Deaner what he was going to do, all alone after Doering gets defeated at Against All Odds. VBD took exception and after Alexander gained the upper hand momentarily, Doering nailed a massive lariat before security ran down to the ring.

It didn’t help matters though as Doering started nailing security before Deaner had to convince him to stop. A referee then ran down to the ring and Alexander vs. Deaner is up next.

Impact World Champion Josh Alexander defeated Deaner in a non-title match

As you would imagine, it was all an enraged Alexander in the beginning, landing hard punches and massive backbreaker. Deaner attempted a comeback but Alexander just stared at him and struck him down. Alexander hit a diving crossbody to a seated Deaner on the ring apron before Deaner hit a thumb to the eye.

Deaner followed up by sending Alexander head first into the second turnbuckle before failing to land his Deaner DDT. Alexander started with a comeback, nailing multiple german suplexes before missing the C4 Spike. Alexander attempted an ankle lock but Deaner was able to hook the ropes preventing it.

Deaner attempted another Deaner DDT but Alexander blocked it, successfully locked in the ankle lock and that was all she wrote for the flag bearer of VBD.

– Backstage, Gia Miller was with Frankie Kazarian. Kazarian reflected on his match at Slammiversary before focusing on Chris Sabin. Kazarian challenged Sabin to a match on next week’s Impact.

– A video promo was shown from Jordynne Grace at Slammiversary, thanking Tasha Steelz and a pondering a potential rematch. Backstage, Steelz was with Savannah Evans and stated that if Grace could survive Evans next week, Steelz would see her at Against All Odds.

Sami Callihan defeated Jack Price

Price was the 2022 co-winner of the Gut Check Challenge.

After the bell rang, Callihan charged at Price but Jack avoided the attack. Callihan followed it up with a grapple in the corner which not only led to a clean break, but Sami raising his hands in the air and shouting “Wrestling!” How can you not love the “Death Machine”? Callihan followed it up with a clothesline, followed by a Cactus Driver ’97 for an easy squash match victory.

After the match, Callihan celebrated on the middle turnbuckle as Moose quietly entered the ring. When Callihan jumped off the turnbuckle, an awaiting Moose hit a massive spear. Moose then proceeded to do more damage outside of the ring, nailing Callihan with a uranage through a table.

– Backstage, The Good Brothers, America’s Most Wanted and The Briscoes are getting ready for the 6-man tag team main event. As the teams are headed to the ring, Harris attempted to head to the ring too but is stopped by Storm. Storm reminded Harris that he made a promise to his family and tells an agitated Harris to head home.

-Sami Callihan is seen backstage, furious as hell. Gail Kim confronted Callihan and Sami said he wanted to end this with Moose. Kim asked what could be more dangerous and ending than the Monster’s Ball match at Slammiversary? An infuriated Callihan stated “Raven’s Clockwork Orange House of Fun”. After Kim wiped Callihan’s rage off of her face, she accepted Sami’s suggestion and the match is on at Against All Odds.

New matches made for Against All Odds: Knockouts Champion Jordynne Grace defends against Tasha Steelz; Honor No More vs. Good Brothers, The Briscoes & James Storm in a ten-man tag; and Callihan vs. Moose in a Raven’s Clockwork Orange House of Fun match.

Next week: Chris Bey vs. Steve Maclin vs. Laredo Kid vs. Trey Miguel for an X-Division title shot; Ace Austin vs. Alex Zayne; Gisele Shaw vs. Rosemary and Chris Sabin vs. Frankie Kazarian.

Honor No More (Eddie Edwards, Matt Taven & Mike Bennett w/Maria Kanellis) defeated The Briscoes (Jay Briscoe & Mark Briscoe) & James Storm

It was Mark Briscoe and Taven starting the match with Taven gaining the advantage early on. Taven with a quick tag to Bennett and it was a chop fest in the middle of the ring before Bennett is nailed with a clothesline.

Jay Briscoe was tagged in but so was Edwards and it was a battle back and forth. Storm got the tag and after some showboating, Jay nailed a swanton to the outside followed up by a twisting senton by Mark to Honor No More.

Action was still on the outside but HNM was starting to focus and put a beatdown on Storm. Storm was finally rolled back into the ring and Edwards managed a two count. Quick tags were being made by HNM but while Storm was perseverant, The Briscoes could do nothing but standing frustrated on the ring apron.

Followed up by a missed tag by the referee and HNM continued to capitalize while The Briscoes continued their frustration. Edwards in the ring against Storm and he missed a running attack in the corner and Storm leveled him with a backstabber.

Storm finally made the hot tag to Mark and it was now one-half of the Briscoes proceeding to take out all three members of HNM. The numbers game caught up to Mark however as HNM triple-teamed him, Edwards nailed him with a massive powerbowb, but only managed a two count.

Superkicks were hit by HNM but Mark managed to recover by nailing Bennett with a Death Valley Driver before heading to the top rope. Bennett stopped him and with the help of Taven, nailed him with the Proton Pack for the 1-2-3 for HNM.

After the match, the rest of Honor No More hit the ring to do more damage to their fallen opponents. The Good Brothers hit the ring but the numbers this time around were just too much. Chairs were slammed, ankles were broken as HNM celebrated their victory as the show came to a close.

Final Thoughts:

A solid show by Impact heading into Against All Odds on July 1st. I may be a biased Canadian but seeing highlights of Alexander/Young from Slammiversary still gives me goosebumps and has my vote right now as match of the year.

In the voice of Dusty Rhodes, “Change my mind if you will.”

Callihan going to another level with Moose, the Knockouts division as a whole right now, who we’re going to see Mike Bailey face in the near future for the X-Division title…very proud to be a fan of Impact Wrestling right now.

Impact Wrestling live results: Moose & Maclin vs. PCO & Morrissey

Thursday’s Impact Wrestling will continue the road to Slammiversary as former World Champion Moose will team with Steve Maclin to take on the unusual team of PCO and W. Morrissey.

Mia Yim will look to continue her hot streak in her early days as she takes on Savannah Evans.

Blake Christian will face Kenny King with King’s Ultimate X match spot at Slammiversary on the line.

Honor No More’s Matt Taven and Mike Bennett will face Heath and Rhino in a follow-up from a brawl last week.

New Digital Media Champion Rich Swann returns to singles action against commentator Matthew “Drama King” Rehwoldt to avenge Rehwoldt from costing him an Impact World title shot.

In the BTI pre-show match, Alisha will take on the returning Renee Michelle.

**********

Impact opened with a recap of the feud between Violent by Design facing Josh Alexander and the Briscoe Brothers last week, ending with Eric Young pinning Mark Briscoe with a piledriver.

Deonna Purrazzo joined the commentary desk.

Mia Yim defeated Savannah Evans (w/ Tasha Steelz)

This was an okay match, but it’s clear Evans is a bit green as she looked lost at a few points. That said, Yim helped keep it all together, and it was a good example of making Evans look strong in losing.

Yim got a nice reaction for her entrance, and being in Impact is a great fit for her. Evans used her power to keep Yim from getting a good start in the match, but Yim hit a hurricanrana on Evans and tripped her by going low and hitting a dropkick. Evans recovered quickly and hit a DDT for a two count.

Evans threw Yim across the ring and hit a tiger suplex for a two count. Evans missed a leg drop and Yim transitioned into some pinfall attempts for several nearfalls. Evans hit a slam for a two count. Evans went for a shoulderblock in the corner, but Yim moved and Evans crashed into the ring post. Yim hit three dropkicks to Evans before hitting a german suplex.

Yim hit a shotgun dropkick and a cannonball in the corner, but Evans kicked out. Yim slapped Evans and went for a tornado DDT, but Evans shoved her off and hit a Samoan drop for a 2-count. Evans hit a fisherman’s suplex for a two count. Evans missed a run at Yim and landed on the floor. Tasha Steelz attacked Yim behind the referee’s back, but Jordynne Grace made the save. Yim then hit Evans with the Eat Da Feet for the win.

– Shark Boy was backstage and confronted Eddie Edwards on his treatment of Impact Wrestling with Honor No More. Edwards threatened Shark Boy, saying he didn’t know what he was talking about. Chris Harris stepped in and talked about being willing to fight Edwards.

– Knockouts Tag Team Champions The Influence (Madison Rayne and Tenille Dashwood) walked up to Rosemary and tried to “comfort” Rosemary about how Havok, her partner, lost to Masha Slamovich. Rayne offered makeup to Rosemary, who gave it back and said that she would need it when she bites off her face. Decay then came out of the shadows and chased The Influence off.

Kenny King (w/ Honor No More) defeated Blake Christian to keep his Slammiversary Ultimate X match spot

This match was awesome. King is good and Christian is a fantastic wrestler. The pacing was great and Christian looked very good in losing this one.

Christian foolishly tried to shake hands with King, who punched him in the face for his trouble. King backed Christian up to the corner and hit several strikes, but Christian used his incredible speed to respond and hit a handspring kick. Christian missed a baseball slide and the two started exchanging strikes on the floor.

Christian hit a koppo kick on King as he tried to get back into the ring before hitting a tope con giro to the floor. Christian got hung up on the ropes during the break, which allowed King to start to get the heat on him. King hit a rolling elbow in the corner and hit a capture suplex that sent Christian across the ring for a two count.

Christian started a comeback that saw him do a low-1-9 and then a half and half suplex for a two count. Christian hit a standing frog splash for a two count and King hit a blockbuster on for a two count. King hit a spinebuster for a two count. Christian rolled King up with a cradle, but kicked up and kicked King in the head. Christian hit a kick that left King draped on the top rope facing the outside, so he did a frog splash off the corner onto King’s back and then crashed to the floor.

King grabbed the ropes on the pinfall, barely escaping. Christian missed a 450 splash, but rolled up King with several pinfall attempts. Christian went for the 450 splash again, but King got the knees up and hit a dragon suplex before hitting the Royal Flush for the pin and win.

– A video aired for the next competitor in Ultimate X: Jack Evans, formerly in AEW.

-W. Morrissey was backstage. Bhupinder Singh and Singh offered to help Morrissey, but Morrissey looked to his right and PCO was going nuts hitting equipment crates. Morrissey said he would be fine.

Rich Swann defeated Matt Rehwoldt to retain the Impact Digital Media Championship

This match was better than the short recap here would indicate as most of the early portions were Rehwoldt getting heat, but it was a very good and quick match that Swann won.

Rehwoldt spent the match trash talking Swann, saying that he wasn’t a real Digital Media Champion, hitting a stomp over the ropes and an inverted fireman’s carry slam for a two count. Swann refused to give up and hit a handspring cutter before going to the middle rope and hitting a middle rope phoenix splash.

– A recap aired of BTI with Alisha defeating Renee Michelle and Masha Slamovich coming out and handing her a piece of mail. Edwards showed what it was backstage afterward: a picture of Edwards with a red X on it. This baffled Edwards. who had no idea what it meant. Gisele Shaw informed her that it meant “Masha is going to kill you,” which I think was pretty evident.

Good Brothers/Briscoes brawl

The Good Brothers came to ringside and talked about how great they were and that they were going to beat the Briscoes at Slammiversary for the tag titles. They said the Briscoes were legitimate champions, but said that it didn’t add up to theirs. They called them hicks and said they won championships for greasing pigs. Gallows said that no other tag team had their lynn-age (because that is how he pronounced lineage).

They showed their top 10 moments in Impact and the first 4 were title wins, and then the last 6 were them beating the Briscoes with the same clip each time, but 1 ended with the Briscoes interrupting. Jay and Mark Briscoe were not impressed and went face to face with them. Jay Briscoe said that the difference between the two teams were that the Briscoes were on the road, working hard, winning championships, and running their farm while the Good Brothers got lazy. Both teams brawled, but the Good Brothers ran away before it could go too far.

– Impact World Champion Josh Alexander was backstage and talked about how Eric Young didn’t concern him as he wasn’t surprised he won last week. He is working hard to prepare to keep the Impact World Championship because Eric Young is a former champion and not a joke. Violent by Design came up to Alexander and attacked him before security pulled them apart.

Impact went to the Kevin Dunn school of production for this segment, as the camera was shaking so violently during the brawl that I felt dizzy and I don’t get motion sick. That said, it was only a few seconds, so it’s better than three hours of that.

Alexander was with Scott D’Amore and asked for a match next week against Joe Doering next week because he wanted to deal with the numbers game before Slammiversary. D’Amore granted his request.

Honor No More (Matt Taven & Mike Bennett) (w/ Eddie Edwards) defeated Rhino & Heath

Heath was not very good in this match. He looked quite tired quickly, but Rhino carried the team throughout.

Edwards joined the commentary desk and claimed that Maria was not there due to it being an unsafe work environment despite it being Bennett who accidentally speared his own wife recently. Heath kept on top of both Taven and Bennett in the early parts of the match. Rhino continued by hitting a shoulderblock in the corner, but Taven rolled to the floor and Honor No More tried to recover.

Heath ate a rolling elbow from Bennett after a blind tag and they started to get the heat on Heath. Bennett hit a running eye poke, which made me chuckle. Taven and Bennett double teamed Health several times, keeping him from tagging Rhino in. Heath hit an enziguri on Taven but was unable to make the tag until he hit Taven with a clothesline. Rhino entered and got some offense for a bit, but Taven eventually cut him off and hit The Climax for the pinfall.

Honor No More attacked Rhino after the bell and Pillmanized the ankle of Rhino before the Motor City Machine Guns and Frankie Kazarian ran down to make the save. Rhino was left screaming in pain from the injury with everyone looking concerned and trying to help him to the back.

After the break, Rhino was loaded into an ambulance and Heath left with him. Kazarian and the Guns asked to fight Honor No More, and Scott D’Amore asked them to find two other people to join them in the fight to settle it at Slammiversary.

Tom Hannifan ran down the Slammiversary card which now includes Evans in the Ultimate X match and a ten-man tag team match with Honor No More vs. the Impact Originals (MCMG, Kazarian, two mystery partners).

Next week will include Tenille Dashwood vs. Rosemary; Impact World Champion Josh Alexander vs. Joe Doering; and Eddie Edwards, Matt Taven and Mike Bennett vs. Frankie Kazarian and the Motor City Machine Guns.

Moose & Steve Maclin defeated W. Morrissey & PCO

Maclin got a big win here and looked great in this match. Pinning Morrissey on the day it was announced he was leaving Impact only makes sense. This was a very good main event with Moose looking like the biggest star in the match, but it was clearly designed to elevate Maclin and absolutely achieved that.

Morrissey looked very unsure of his partner, but glad he wasn’t fighting him. PCO overpowered Maclin early on, using his size and power to drive Maclin to tag out to Moose. Morrissey and Moose faced off and locked up. Moose chopped Morrissey, and both men started exchanging hard chops back and forth.

Morrissey hit a pump kick on Moose and tagged out to PCO. Poor Maclin got crushed in the corner by PCO and Morrissey before Moose accidentally crushed him. PCO and Morrissey hit a double chokeslam on Maclin as both big men screamed with aggression at their enemies. Morrissey went for a big boot on Moose, but Maclin hit a knee to the back and Moose hit a chop block on Morrissey’s knee.

Maclin and Moose worked over the knee of Morrissey, chopping the big man down. Morrissey sold the pain in his knee well here as they were working on it, which some big men don’t do in wrestling. Morrissey drove Moose back to the corner with his legs, using primarily the good one, and tagged out to PCO who hit Moose with a DDT and a cannonball on Maclin.

PCO hit a flipping senton off the top rope onto the apron onto Maclin which was insane. PCO hit a belly-to-belly on Moose before hitting a diving headbutt off the middle rope. Maclin broke up the pinfall attempt and PCO hit a cannonball through the middle rope onto both men. PCO went for a moonsault on Moose, but Moose rolled out of the way. Moose and PCO leveled each other with clotheslines, but PCO sat right up and tagged out to Morrissey.

Moose and PCO ended up going over the top rope with a Cactus clothesline from PCO. Maclin hit a spear on Morrissey who was in the tree of woe and then hit a low shot on PCO before hitting Morrissey with a double-arm DDT for the pinfall.

Maclin and PCO brawled until Moose took him out with a spear. The lights went out and Sami Callihan was in the ring and nailed Moose with a baseball bat as he went for the Spear. The show closed with Callihan telling the camera that this will never be over between him and Moose.

Final Thoughts:

This was a really solid episode of Impact with Blake Christian vs. Kenny King being the best match. There was lots of work going into promoting Slammiversary on June 19th that balanced setting up next week’s go home show, and furthering stories for the PPV. All in all, this show was an easy thumbs up.

Once again, Scott D’Amore and Josh Matthews are the hosts. They will be presenting the awards tonight, as well as going over some of the best matches of the year.

– The IInspiration and The Influence had a small disagreement backstage as they had scheduling problems. Lee and McKay introduced their new photographer, Jai Vidal, with an I, so Kaleb took personal offense.

Knockout Tag Team Champions Decay (Rosemary & Havok vs The IInspiration (Jessie McKay & Cassie Lee) from Bound for Glory. This was Lee and McKay’s debut, where they would end up winning the Knockout tag team titles from Decay.

– First award given out tonight was for the Best Knockout Tag Team of the Year, won by Jordynne Grace and Rachael Ellering. Both thanked the fans who voted for them and said to be happy to win this prize with each other, as friends.

– We got Impact’s top ten Social Media posts of the year, topped by Jay White’s debut, FinJuice’s debut announcement, and Christian Cage’s win of the Impact World title as number 1.

Impact World Champion Kenny Omega vs Sami Callihan in a No DQs match from Slammiversary. After the long chase, Callihan would fail to capture the title when Omega hit a couple of thumbtack loaded V-Triggers and the One Winged Angel for the 1-2-3.

– We got a replay of Jonah’s debut, showing up at Turning Point and attacking Josh Alexander. Jonah and Alexander are to face each other at Hard To Kill. In addition, we saw Jonah’s debut match, squashing Jai Vidal.

X Division Champion Josh Alexander vs. Petey Williams vs. Trey Miguel vs. Rohit Raju vs. Ace Austin vs. Chris Bey in an Ultimate X match from Slammiversary. This match was one of Alexander’s bigger defenses of his reign at this point of his reign. Alexander would end his reign when he relinquished the title to cash in Option C and challenge then champion, Christian Cage.

– Next award was for the Men’s Wrestler of the Year, won by Josh Alexander. He talked about it being an honor considering this was the year that Kenny Omega reigned as the champion along with other big names showing up on Impact.

Impact World Champion Rich Swann vs TNA World Champion Moose in a title vs title match from Sacrifice. After a year-long chase, Moose and Swann finally collided with both titles on the line. Moose at one point had stolen the TNA World title and proclaimed himself as the champion, something that wouldn’t be accepted by the Impact offices until the final days of his reign with the title. Swann would go and win this match, only to lose both titles to Kenny Omega at Rebellion, in another title vs title winner takes all match.

– We got a vignette for Masha Slamovich, set to debut next week.

– We got a promo by Mercedes Martinez, addressing Deonna Purrazzo’s comments from last week. She challenged Purrazzo to a match next week. In addition, Scott D’Amore announced that Deonna Purrazzo vs Rok-C will take place on Impact after Hard To Kill.

– The final award of the night was for the Best Men’s Match of the Year. The winner went to Josh Alexander and TJP for their 60-Minute Ironman match from June 3rd. Alexander accepted the title, saying that if not for that match, he may not have been given the opportunity to continue and win the Impact World title.

X Division Josh Alexander vs TJP in a 60-Minute Ironman Match from June 3rd’s BTI and Impact Wrestling TV. This would end up a classic for the company, not only for being the first ever 60-minute ironman match in company’s history, but the match would reach the time limit and continue into sudden death after being tied 1:1. Alexander would win a couple of minutes into sudden death and retain the title.

– Show ended with the return of Su Yung, and the reveal that she is pregnant. She seemed to have killed Kimber Lee and Brandi Lauren, but they’re already undead, so I don’t know.

Impact Wrestling live results: Christopher Daniels returns

Christopher Daniels will have his first Impact match in over seven years when he takes on Madman Fulton on Thursday’s Impact Wrestling.

One of the “TNA originals”, Daniels made his return to the promotion last Thursday, saving World Champion Christian Cage and Josh Alexander from an Fulton and Ace Austin-led attack.

Following Alexander vacating the title, a tournament to crown a new X-Division champion begins tonight with Alez Zayne vs. Trey Miguel vs. Laredo Kid. The tournament will feature three three-way matches, with the winners going on to another three-way match at October’s Bound For Glory to crown the new champion.

A new pair of number one contenders for the Knockouts Tag Team Championship will emerge when The Influence (Tenille Dashwood & Madison Rayne) take on Jordynne Grace and Rachael Ellering. The winner will get their shot at champions Havok and Rosemary at this month’s Knockouts Knockdown.

Eddie Edwards can’t seem to rid himself of W. Morrissey as the two find themselves in another match, this time in& a street fight.

The BTI pre-show will see Raj Singh take on Matt Cardona. Singh made his Impact return last Thursday, marking his first appearance in the company since November 2019.

* * * * * * * * * *

Matt Cardona (with Chelsea Green) defeated Raj Singh (with Rohit Raju) on BTI

* * * * * * * * * *

Opening video recapped Josh Alexander’s challenge to Christian Cage for a title match at Bound For Glory. In addition, last week’s Alexander vs Ace Austin main event, which led to the return of Christopher Daniels to Impact after 7 years.

Trey Miguel defeated Alex Zayne & Laredo Kid in an X Division Championship match qualifier

After the X Division title was vacated by Josh Alexander, D’Amore booked a tournament to crown a new champion at Bound For Glory. Each week will feature a 3-way qualifier match to set up the participants of the BFG match. Alex Zayne is making his Impact debut in this match.

First couple of minutes saw all three men pair up in different combinations for a couple of fast paced sequences of counters and reversals, ending with Miguel dropping Kid with a rana from the apron to the floor, followed by a moonsault by Zayne.

Back in the ring, they did a couple of 3-person spots, mostly showcasing Zayne’s ability, but constantly trading momentum between the three men. Kid at one point hit a springboard rana on Miguel and a springboard cutter later on for a near fall. Finish eventually saw Zayne take out Kid, but Miguel ran in, removed Zayne from the ring and hit the meteora to win and advance to Bound For Glory.

During the match, we saw footage of Matthew Rehwoldt watching the match. Commentary mentioned that he seemed to be interested in Laredo Kid. After the match, Matthew Rehwoldt cut a promo on Laredo Kid, saying he and Kid were similar, because both of them were misunderstood by the world, and so he wanted to challenge Kid to a match.

– We got footage of Callihan being checked in by doctors after Morrissey and Moose broke his ankle. This is the story to write off Callihan.

Eddie Edwards cut a promo about knowing that he and Callihan were getting into it when they went to war with Moose and Morrissey. He told the latter that Morrissey had always been taken care of, but on Impact, he faces reality.

The Influence (Tenille Dashwood & Madison Rayne) (with Kaleb)  defeated Jordynne Grace & Rachael Ellering in a  Knockouts Tag Team Championship #1 contenders match.

Grace and Ellering have their history with Dashwood, but have never faced the team of Dashwood and Rayne, which recently came together a couple of weeks ago. This match was booked by Gail Kim after The Influence made the intentions to go after the tag team titles at Knockouts Knockdown, the all women show coming up on October 8th.

Match started with Ellering and Dashwood, with the former dominating the ring and the lock exchange. The Influence were able to take control of the match when Kaleb tripped Ellering, causing her and Grace to change their focus and allowing Dashwood and Rayne to attack them from behind.

The Influence’s control didn’t last long, as Ellering was able to overpower Dashwood and it was now her that found herself cut off from her corner, as Grace and Ellering worked over Dashwood’s lower back. Rayne would eventually get a cheap shot on Grace to allow Dashwood to tag out. Dashwood and Rayne worked over Grace before she powered out of their control and tagged in Ellering for the hot tag.

Ellering came in with a TKO on Dashwood and a spinebuster on Rayne. They followed with some double team moves before setting up a Vader Bomb from Grace on Rayne, but Kaleb was there to place Rayne’s foot on the ropes for the near fall.

Finish saw Grace and Ellering once again get distracted by Kaleb, allowing The Influence to hit their new signature move for the win over Ellering.

It will be The Influence vs Decay for the tag team titles.

– Gia Miller interviewed Christopher Daniels about returning to Impact. Daniels said that he didn’t need to knock on the forbidden door of the house he built. Josh Alexander and Christian Cage walked up and thanked Daniels for the help last week, but Cage and Alexander quickly got on each other’s nerves.

– We got a skit with Brian Myers training his Learning Tree, with VSK over showing everyone and making everyone jealous.

– The Good Brothers cut a promo from their vacation house, talking about beating up people. They promoted Impact’s YouTube subscription service, talked trash about some of the tag teams on Impact, and realized that they need opponents for Bound For Glory, so they proposed FinJuice vs Bullet Club in a #1 contender match.

 – We then got a video of Deonna Purrazzo arriving at Mickie James’ ranch. Purrazzo found James and attacked her in a barn. They brawled for some minutes and at one point, Purrazzo tried to use a rake to attack James, who ended up spraying water on Purrazzo, which worked for some reason, but soon after, Purrazzo recovered and finally took out James.

– FinJuice cut a promo about being attacked by the Bullet Club last week, and always being outnumbered. Chris Sabin joined them and agreed to take on the Bullet Club next week. Robinson’s hair is something special.

Christopher Daniels defeated Madman Fulton (with Ace Austin)

Daniels returned last week and confronted Austin and Fulton as they attacked Alexander and Cage. This is his first Impact match in about 7 years.

Story of the match was that Fulton had the power advantage and dominated Daniels when he got a hold of him, so Daniels had to rely on his speed to run and dodge around, to get offense on Fulton. After running wild for a bit, Fulton was able to cut off Daniels with a big slam from the second rope, he mostly tried to choke and hurt Daniels’ head.

Daniels made a comeback, but was cut off by Austin’s interference, so Josh Alexander ran down for the save and brawled with Austin to the back. In the ring, Fulton kicked out of the Angel’s wings, but fell to the BME.

– Over at Swinger’s Palace, Swinger prepared himself to meet with Scott D’Amore about cancelling the Vegas tapings. D’Amore obviously didn’t take him seriously and shut down Swinger’s Palace permanently. I think we’re done.

– Madman Fulton and Ace Austin went to D’Amore and demanded that he do something about all the men getting involved in his matches. D’Amore booked Austin and Fulton vs Alexander and Cage for next week.

– Violent By Design came down to the ring for Rhino’s answer after Eric Young gave him an ultimatum on whether he was with VBD, or against them. Rhino walked out to the ring and after the fans chanted for a Gore, Rhino was surrounded by Doering, Deaner, and EY. At that point, Heath made his long awaited return from injury and went straight to brawl with Deaner and Doering. Heath cleared the ring, but Rhino never joined in, he neither attacked VBD, nor he attacked Heath.

– We got a commercial for a new title Impact is introducing, the ‘Digital Media’ Champion. There will be a tournament to crown a champion at Bound For Glory. First matches Are Zicky Dice vs John Skyler and Hernandez vs Crazzy Steve.

Also next week, Black Taurus vs Maclin vs Petey Williams in another X Division qualifier match, FinJuice & Sabin vs Bullet Club, and Austin & Fulton vs Cage & Alexander.

Eddie Edwards defeated W. Morrissey in a Street Fight

These two have been feuding for months now, they’ve already clashed in weapon matches, but this is somewhat more personal after Morrissey powerbombed Alisha Edwards at Victory Road. Morrissey and Moose also took out Edwards’ ally in this war, Sami Callihan.

Even with a weapon in hand, Edwards was early on taken down by Morrissey, who straight up broke a wet sign on Edwards’ head, but he was able to comeback with a tope suicida and a belt shot to bring Morrissey down. The brawl continued with Morrissey ramming Edwards around into the guardrail and steel steps, including a chokeslam onto those steps.

Back in the ring, the table got filled with a table, chairs, garbage cans, and other weapons. Morrissey stayed in control, but Edwards slowly made a comeback attacking Morrissey with some of the weapons, ending with a weak blue thunder bomb on the garbage can.

Edwards brought out a barbed wire wrapped chair, but failed to use it on Morrissey, and instead took a couple of chair shots himself. Morrissey tried to slam Edwards onto a bed of chairs, but Alisha ran down for the save and attacked Morrissey with a kendo stick, allowing Edwards to slip out and powerbomb Morrissey on the chairs, but he only got a count of 1 before the kick out.

Edwards attacked Morrissey with the kendo stick, followed by a Boston knee party to the barbed wire chair and Edwards finally got the pin.

After the match, Moose attacked both Edwards and Alisha, spearing Edwards through the table in the ring. Alisha checked on Edwards, when Moose and Morrissey grabbed her and made her watch as Moose attacked Edwards’ neck with several chair shots. The chair wrapped around Edwards ended up all bent. Good little post match angle.

Impact Wrestling live results: Ace Austin vs. Tommy Dreamer

The Impact World title match between champion Christian Cage and number one contender Ace Austin for this month’s Victory Road may get an addition following Thursday’s Impact Wrestling.

Austin will face Tommy Dreamer on tonight’s show and if Dreamer wins, he will be added to the title match. This was set up on last week’s show as Dreamer was congratulating Cage for being champion and Austin came out to verbally run down both men before a brawl ensued. After complaining to Scott D’Amore, the Impact VP made the match and the stipulation.

X-Division Champion Josh Alexander will defend his title in an open challenge against any former champion of the division.

Thursday’s show will also see Taylor Wilde, Jordynne Grace and Rachael Ellering taking on The Influence (Madison Rayne, Tenille Dashwood and Kaleb with a K); Matt Cardona and Chelsea Green vs. Rohit Raju and Shera; and Decay (Crazzy Steve and Black Taurus) against Fallah Bahh and No Way.

The BTI pre-show will feature Jake Something vs. John Skyler.

* * * * * * * * * *

Jake Something defeated John Skylar on BTI

* * * * * * * * * *

Show opened with a graphic for Daffney (Shannon Spruill).

Opening video recapped the story of Cage winning the title and being confronted by Ace Austin, the number one contender to the Impact World Championship, that led to Tommy Dreamer and Austin setting up a match tonight, for a spot in the main event at Victory Road.

Taylor Wilde, Jordynne Grace, & Rachael Ellering defeated The Influence (Tenille Dashwood, Madison Rayne, & Kaleb with a K)

Wilde has been feuding with The Influence since her return to the promotion, she risked taking on all three at the same time, but of course, the numbers game was too much for her. Grace and Ellering came out to the save to even things out and thus we have this far fairer match.

Match started with the babyfaces dominating the match over Kaleb. It was until Grace got in the ring with him and was running through him, that Rayne attacked Grace from behind and allowed Kaleb to cut her off and tag out.

The Influence kept control for some minutes until Kaleb once again became the legal person, and ended up losing control of the match and Grace tagged out.

Wilde got the hot tag, Ellering and Grace took out Dashwood and Rayne outside the ring, allowing Wilde to hit a German bridge on Kaleb for the win.

– We got highlights of Deonna Purrazzo defeating Melina Perez at the NWA Empower show, successfully defending the Knockouts Championship. We also saw what happened on the following night, during NWA73, where Purrazzo attacked Mickie James after James’ match.

– Gia Miller interviewed Purrazzo about her actions on NWA73. She said that Purrazzo showed that she just showed that she had everything under control and put James in her place. Rehwoldt called out Trey Miguel since Miguel had decided to inject himself in their and Melina’s problems.

– We got a promo by Tommy Dreamer, talking about the chance at winning tonight and being added to the title match at Victory Road. Dreamer brought up that he became ECW champion in a triple threat match with Cage and Jack Swagger.

Cage walked up to him and told him that he did indeed win, but he didn’t pin him. Cage told him he hoped he would win because he would love to get in the ring with him again.

Dreamer told Cage he didn’t want Cage to get involved tonight in the match, which Cage hadn’t really implied.

– D’lo Brown & Matt Striker ran down tonight’s card.

Decay (Black Taurus & Crazzy Steve) (w/Rosemary & Havok) defeated Fallah Bahh & No Way

Fallah Bahh has been feuding with Decay since Homecoming where he and Steelz got eliminated from the tournament, but as the story went on, Bahh became more of a vehicle to further the feud between Rosemary & Havok versus Tasha Steelz & Savannah Evans.

Before the match, one of the conga line members attacked Rosemary, revealing to be Tasha Steelz. When Havok went on the pursuit, she got jumped by Savannah Evans. Havok and Rosemary would end up leaving, chasing after Steelz and Evans.

Back in the ring, Bahh and Steve started the match with some comedy about Steve trying to bite Bahh. The crowd even turned on Bahh for not wanting to get bitten.

Taurus and No Way tagged in with the former getting the better of the latter until Bahh blind tagged himself and cut off Taurus with a plancha while Taurus was distracted with a sunset flip on No Way. They managed to keep Taurus down with constant tags and a couple of double team moves in between. Taurus eventually made a comeback, ending with him and No Way taking each other out with clotheslines.

Steve and Bahh tagged in and played around with Steve not being able to bring down Bahh until he hit the deep impact for the win. Not sure how much of this match was called in the ring, but they properly reacted to the crowd being completely behind Decay.

– Miller interviewed W. Morrissey about going forward after Sami Callihan attacked him with a bat when Callihan saved Edwards from a beat down. He said he respected Callihan and Edwards for being able to work together when they hate each other.

Suddenly, Moose interrupted him and told him he agreed with what Morrissey preached, and he accepted he would stab Morrissey in the back if he needed to. He said he and Morrissey have issues with Edwards and Callihan, and suggested a temporary alliance.

– Steve Maclin cut a promo addressed to Petey Williams. He said that he didn’t know what else he needed to do for Williams to go away. He said that Williams calls himself the Destroyer, but he knows nothing of destruction, so he challenged Williams to a match next week. Guy is intense.

– Moose, looking dapper as always, came out to the ring. Moose talked about being angry that every wrestler in this era wants to be a hero and that Edwards wants to be the hero of Impact. Moose told Edwards that he is not the same Moose that before and called him out to the ring. Edwards came out with his kendo stick and brawled with Moose. Morrissey ran down and attacked Edwards from behind, setting him up for a lights out from Moose. Morrissey then hit a big boot, and finally finished off Edwards with a double powerbomb. This is a team I could get behind.

– Miller interviewed Bahh and No Way about Steelz attacking Decay. They said that they were not aware that Steelz had hidden in the conga line. TJP walked up to them and after meeting No Way, proposed they go to Swinger’s Palace next week. Seems like they could be moving away from feuding with Decay.

– We got a vignette with Violent By Design, with Eric Young berating Rhino for failing them over and over again. They said that they could cure Rhino again, but he’d need to suffer.

X Division Champion Josh Alexander defeated Jake Crist to retain the title

This was an open challenge to any former X Division champion, the man to answer was Jake Crist, who won the title during his time with oVe. Crist left the company last year after oVe was disbanded.

Match was a technical versus speed match, with Crist getting the early advantage when he used his speed advantage to cut off Alexander on the top rope and bring him down the hard way. Crist focused his attacks on Alexander’s leg and mixed it up with a couple of heel tactics to keep Alexander down.

Alexander eventually started to strike his way back to his feet. He started to slam Crist left and right until he hit the C4 for the win. Not the greatest match in Alexander’s run, nor the best surprise return.

After the match, Miller congratulated Alexander for the win and asked why he made an open challenge. Alexander said that it was necessary if he wanted to leave a legacy on Impact and what it took was to be able to defend every newcomer and every other man that has held that championship before. He wants to be in the conversation of the greatest X Division champions ever.

Out came Chris Sabin. He said he is a fan, but Alexander is only a one time champion. Sabin said he is an 8-time X Division champion, so if he wants to prove himself, then Alexander must beat THE greatest X Division champion ever. Sabin challenged Alexander at Victory Road for the title. Sabin and Alexander shook hands to make it official. The number of times Sabin has won the title is a weird argument against the man that is not losing the title at all.

– We got a second commercial from Sam Beale trying to recruit a trainee for Brian Myers.  We saw some of the entries that have already come in, and they’re all terrible. I hope they all lose.

After that, we saw all those geeks make a line to meet up with Myers. Myers went through the list and cut them out until two men were left. One of them was Manny Lemons, the other was Zicky Dice. Dice was close to being eliminated and talking back to Myers, but Beale told Myers that if he cut Dice, the only one left would be Lemons, and so Myers decided to let it go and called them back next week.

Rohit Raju & Mahabali Shera defeated Matt Cardona & Chelsea Green

Cardona and Raju have been feuding for some weeks, with the story that it was Green who saved Cardona from a beat down at the hands of Shera, but Shera respects Green and won’t attack a woman.

Match started with Shera beating up Cardona, being disrespectful and dominant, but when Raju tagged in, Cardona easily turned things around. Green tagged in and got a couple of shots in, Raju and Green exchanged some takedowns and mocked each other, but it was Green that got the last laugh.

Shera tried to confront Cardona, but once again Green stopped him. Shera carried Green out of the way, only to get slapped on the face in return, leaving him open for a radio silence from Cardona.

While Cardona distracted himself with Shera, Raju capitalized and knocked out Green with a jumping knee and pinned her for the win. Not much of a match, but a good segment to add fuel to this feud.

– We got a vignette with Su Yung and Kimber Lee, revealing that they’ve converted Brandi Lauren into Undead Brandi Lauren.

– The Good Brothers came out to the ring. They said that Mack and Swann getting a roll up on them was an argument for a title shot, but at the end, it was Mack that went through a table and now found himself in a hospital bed.

Rich Swann ran down with a chair and attacked the Brothers, who were about to beat him up if not for referees and security coming out to break up the fight. Good stuff, Swann looked brave, but it didn’t make the Brothers weak for being overtaken by one person.

– After the commercial, security held back Swann until Scott D’Amore came up and told Swann to calm down and booked Swann vs Anderson in a Bunkhouse Brawl for next week.

Also next week, Steve Maclin vs Petey Williams, Chris Bey vs David Finlay rematch, Rosemary vs Tasha Steelz, and Moose vs Eddie Edwards.

Ace Austin (with Madman Fulton) defeated Tommy Dreamer

Stipulation of the match was that if Tommy Dreamer can defeat Ace Austin tonight, he would be added to the Impact World title match at Victory Road.

Dreamer started the match showing off some chain wrestling and hitting the bionic elbow before clotheslining Austin to the floor. Dreamer was chopping Austin around the ring until he whipped him into the rail, only for Fulton to run in and protect Austin by putting his body in between. This ended up cutting off Dreamer’s momentum.

Back in the ring, Austin worked over Dreamer for a couple of minutes, but Dreamer would end up dropping Austin with a neckbreaker from the third turnbuckle. Dreamer and Austin went back and forth, Dreamer started to chase the DDT, but Austin blocked it. Dreamer landed an enzuigiri, but Austin quickly recovered. Austin went for the fold, but Dreamer countered into a cutter for a near fall after Fulton placed Austin’s foot on the ropes. Dreamer took out Fulton on the floor, but the distraction was enough for Austin to catch Dreamer with the fold and the win. Ok match all things considered.

Impact Wrestling live results: White & Bey vs. Good Brothers

Preview by Josh Nason

New Japan NEVER Openweight Champion Jay White will make his in-ring debut for Impact Wrestling tonight alongside Chris Bey against Impact Tag Team Champions The Good Brothers in a non-title match.

White didn’t accept The Elite’s offer to join them and instead said they couldn’t rejoin the Bullet Club. Kenny Omega, Don Callis and the Good Brothers came out to confront him and eventually, Karl Anderson and Doc Gallows jumped White. Bey, who White had earlier offered to join the Club, ran out to make the save.

The show is main evented by Moose vs. Chris Sabin in a Slammiversary rematch that Moose requested.

The rest of the lineup includes Violent by Design (Deaner and Rhino) vs. Willie Mack and Rich Swann; FinJuice, No Way (fka No Way Jose) and Fallah Bahh vs. Ace Austin, Madman Fulton, Rohit Rajua and Shera; and the returning Taylor Wilde vs. Kaleb with a K.

The BTI pre-show will see Steve Maclin look to remain undefeated as he faces Trey Miguel.

Steve Maclin vs Trey Miguel ended on a double countout on BTI

Maclin jumped Miguel after the match, took him out with a chair until Petey Williams came out for the save and pull-apart.

Opening video recapped how the new alliance between Jay White and Chris Bey came about, including the altercation with the Good Brothers.

Show started with Gia Miller interviewing Scott D’Amore about a big surprise he had planned for tonight. D’Amore didn’t get to the reveal because Dreamer interrupted him and brought up that it’s been two weeks since Slammiversary, and there is no contender for Kenny Omega set yet. D’Amore passed on the responsibility to Dreamer before leaving.

Impact Tag Team Champions The Good Brothers (Karl Anderson & Doc Gallows) defeated Jay White & Chris Bey in a non-title match

Last week, when Jay White was explaining why he had come to Impact, chasing after David Finlay, he was interrupted by the Good Brothers who want to make sure they are still the leaders and that White should thank and respect them. After an altercation, Bey came out for the save after White had offered a position in the Bullet Club.

Match started with White and Bey in control over Anderson, but once Gallows tagged in, he cut off Bey with ease. The Good Brothers worked over Bey for a long time, not many tags, but a good combination of choking and tossing Bey around, working the back throughout.

Bey eventually managed to dodge Gallow’s attacks and escape to get White the tag, who came in strong, taking down both Brothers, looking like a total babyface.

Bey tagged back in and almost got taken out with the magic killer, but White made the save. Anderson and Gallows still took out White, hit a chokeslam and magic killer on Bey for the win.

Interesting that they would have White lose his first match, but it’s clear that tag team gold is not the plan for him right now.

– Kiera Hogan and Tasha Steelz cut a promo about losing their titles and rematch, but that they will get those titles back. Fallah Bahh interrupted them, and invited Steelz to go together at Homecoming as a team. This actually triggered Steelz to give Hogan some harsh comments about it being Hogan’s fault that they lost the title. Steelz agreed to tag with Bahh, but it seemed to be out of spite.

– D’lo Brown & Matt Striker ran down tonight’s card and an update on the Homecoming card for this saturday.

Taylor Wilde defeated Kaleb with a K (with Tenille Dashwood)

Taylor Wilde returned last week after being off for some time after being attacked backstage. Last week, it was made apparent that it had been Dashwood and Kaleb who took her out, and so she requested a match against Kaleb for tonight.

Match was a good babyface showcase for Wilde, who fought a bully that had size and strength over her. Kaleb had the upper hand early on, but after Wilde tricked him to run into the ropes, Wilde made a comeback.

Kaleb got a near fall with a superkick, after failing, he tried to attack Wilde with his fanny pack, but Wilde managed to dodge, send him outside, and hit a tornado DDT. She hit an ugly poisonrana and a bridging German for the win.

This should likely advance to a Wilde vs Dashwood match now.

– Chris Bey said backstage that he didn’t expect his first match in the Bullet Club to be a loss. White stopped him and told him that he wasn’t in the Bullet Club yet, and he wasn’t impressed by what happened in the ring, but he believed in redemption, and offered Bey a second shot.

– Josh Alexander cut a promo saying he will become the champion the company deserves and needs. He was asking for competition before D’Amore walked up and told him he had wanted to give time for Alexander to rest, but since he was ready, he would take on Black Taurus at Homecoming for the title.

– Miller interviewed Deonna Purrazzo if she thought her plate was too full right now between Impact, AAA, and NWA matches. Purrazzo said that she was perfectly capable of taking on everything and she had actually started training with Invicta FC’s Atomweight champion Alesha Zappitella. Purrazzo announced that she will also enter the mix tagged tournament at Homecoming. Zappitella was there to support Purrazzo.

FinJuice (Juice Robinson & David Finlay), Fallah Bahh, & No Way defeated  Ace Austin, Madman Fulton, Rohit Raju, & Mahabali Shera

This match comes from Slammiversary, where FinJuice returned to Impact and beat Fulton and Shera easily. Bahh and No Way joined them in order to level the playing field against the alliance of Austin and Raju.

The babyface started strong, getting the better of Fulton and getting a lot of offense with quick tags and team moves, but when Bahh got in the ring, Raju managed to blind tag himself in and blindside Bahh to cut him off.

The heels worked on Bahh for a bit until it came down to Austin and Bahh, who was too heavy for Austin to keep him at bay, and thus Bahh made a comeback and tagged in Finlay. He ran wild until Shera cut him off, but Robinson came in with the assist to take out Shera.

At the end, with all men coming in to hit their signature moves, Bahh took on both Austin and Fulton, managing to get rid of the latter, but it was the opening for Austin to hit a dive on Bahh and the rest outside the ring.

Back in the ring, Finlay hit trash panda on Raju for the win.

– Miller tried to speak with Kenny Omega, and as usual, Don Callis answered. He said that today, he was going to allow her to talk to Omega because he was in a good mood and everything was working out for them. Omega came out, but didn’t say much since Callis was just putting him over.

Tommy Dreamer approached them and told them that in a couple of weeks, there will be a battle royale for the number one contender’s spot against Omega, to defend at Emergence. Omega and Callis were irate after the announcement.

– We got a new vignette for the Drama King. No debut date set yet.

– Backstage, FinJuice were cutting a promo on the tag team titles when Jay White and Chris Bey jumped them. White rammed Finlay with one of the gear boxes and left him laying. White told him that Finlay will never again beat him.

– Kenny Omega, Don Callis, and the Good Brothers came out to the ring. Omega corrected Callis that it’s 2021 and both real men and real women don’t quit, they get fired. Callis talked about how Omega beat Callihan and how the Good Brothers just defeated Jay White, and in return, they get no respect. Callis kept running his mouth when Sami Callihan returned to interrupt them.

Callihan said that he wasn’t done with Omega and that in two weeks, he’ll win the battle royale and get another shot at Kenny Omega. Callihan said that two weeks was too long a wait, and so Callihan got himself a 6-person match against Omega and the Good Brothers for next week.

Suddenly, Frankie Kazarian, the Elite Hunter, jumped the guardrail and along with Callihan, chased off the Elite. Backstage, Dreamer welcomed Kazarian back. Dreamer will be getting a third person for them next week. Callihan teased that such person will never agree to do it.

– We got a vignette from Su Yung, and the newly transformed into the dark realm, undead Kimber Lee.

– Brian Myers cut a promo that he found a tag team partner, he wanted Beulah McGuillicutty, but Sam Beale had failed to get her phone number. Myers instead called Franscine, she plugged her socials, but rejected him because she wasn’t anyone’s second choice. She caught him because she was smart enough to watch the show. She indeed looked fantastic.

Rich Swann & Willie Mack defeated Violent By Design (Deaner & Rhino) (with Eric Young & Joe Doering)

Both teams are wrestling to get back into title contention after losing the tag team title match at Slammiversary to the Good Brothers.

Deaner and Rhino jumped Swann and Mack to begin the match, but the brawl quickly went to Mack and Swann after VBD was tossed out the ring, followed by a corkscrew from Swann to the floor.

Swann and Mack maintained the upper hand over Deaner for some minutes, but Swann was eventually cut off by the group efforts of VBD. The heat run on Swann wasn’t long, but we had a great spot with Deaner tackling Swann mid air to stop him from tagging in Mack.

Mack got the hot tag and quickly dominated Deaner until EY tripped him behind the referee’s sight. Rhino and Deaner got a couple of near falls on Mack, but in the commotion, Swann got a blind tag and a lethal injection for a near fall himself.

Finish saw Mack hit the stunner on Rhino, setting him up for Swann to hit the 450 for the win. Good short match. Hard to say at the moment, but it would seem like Swann and Mack will be getting themselves a shot at the Good Brothers eventually.

– Over at Swinger’s Palace, Swinger wanted to know the odds for the main event tonight. Cardona and Green walked to the casino, since they were scouting the odds for the Homecoming tournament. Since there was still an open spot for the tournament, Swinger wanted Hernandez and Alisha to enter the tournament and win it for the casino. Petey Williams and Jordynne Grace also joined them for the shenanigans.

W. Morrissey walked up and told Alisha he had a message for Eddie Edwards, that after Homecoming, he’s not coming back home. Swinger’s Palace skits are usually bad, but this was at least productive.

Back from the commercial, Edwards addressed Morrissey’s threats, saying that he has a family, unlike Morrissey who has no one that cares for him. On Saturday, he will defeat him.

Tommy Dreamer walked up to Edwards and asked him to tag team with Callihan and Kazarian to take on the Elite. Edwards was reluctant about teaming with Callihan, but Dreamer told Edwards that he promises that he has his word that Callihan will stay in line, which was enough for Edwards to agree. It will be Omega, Anderson, and Gallows vs Callihan, Edwards, and Kazarian.

Moose defeated Chris Sabin

This is the rematch to their Slammiversary match, where Sabin defeated Moose via roll up. They challenged each other to a rematch last week.

The match worked both as a follow up, but also an abridged version of the Slammiversary match, with Sabin going after Moose’s leg, and Moose using his power advantage to cut him off.

Match saw Sabin start with some offense, but after the match spilled to the floor, Moose took down Sabin and slammed him against the steel steps to really hurt him.

Back in the ring, Moose got cocky and allowed Sabin to cover a bit, enough to attempt a comeback that got cut off again. Moose hit Sabin with some huge chops on Sabin.

Sabin eventually made a comeback when one of those huge chops went directly into the ring post, and so Sabin managed to bring down Moose, but he couldn’t keep him down, and Moose kept pushing for Sabin to bring it. Moose went for the revolution fly spot again, but Sabin blocked, hit a jumping tornado DDT for a big near fall.

Sabin went for cradle shock, but Moose blocked it and hit lights out for the win. Really good match, I would love to see them get more time.

After the match, Moose tried to toss Sabin out of the ring, but Sabin countered, hit a plancha on Moose, chased with a dive to the outside, and they brawled into security came out for the pull-apart.

Impact Wrestling live results: Omega-Callihan contract signing

Impact World Champion Kenny Omega and Sami Callihan will have a contract signing on Thursday’s Impact Wrestling ahead of their title match at the upcoming Slammiversary pay-per-view.

As seen in the preview clip for the show, the signing breaks down into a brawl. Callihan was given the shot in lieu of being added to last month’s Omega vs. Moose Impact World Championship match at Against All Odds.

In a number one contender’s match for the Knockouts Tag Team titles, Rosemary and Havok will face Susan and Kimber Lee with the winners facing champions Fire N’ Flava at the pay-per-view.

Stemming from recent conflicts, Jake Something will take on Brian Myers with Myers having to admit Something is a professional if he goes down in defeat.

The BTI pre-show match will feature Steve Maclin looking to remain undefeated when he faces Suicide.

Our live coverage begins at 8 p.m. Eastern time.

Opening video recapped W. Morrissey took out Eddie Edwards in the parking lot, the six man tag main event with Omega and the Good Brothers vs Callihan, Moose, and Sabin, that ended with Moose and Sabin getting into a fight and Omega picking the win for his team.

Show opened with Kenny Omega and Don Callis arriving at the building for tonight’s contract signing with Sami Callihan.

Jake Something defeated Bryan Myers (with Sam Beale)

Stipulation to this match was that whoever lost, had to publicly accept and say that the other was a ‘professional’. Something and Myers have been feuding since Against All Odds, when Something interrupted Myers’ teachings to Beale.

Match started with Something in control, both inside and outside the ring, but as the referee prevented Something from keeping the match on the floor, Myers recovered and took out Something during the distraction.

Myers worked over Something for a little bit, since Something made a comeback only a couple of minutes later. Not even Beale interfering extended that heat run.

Something got the first near fall with a powerbomb, went for a spear, but Myers cut him off, hit a DDT and got one himself. Myers hit a top rope elbow for a second near fall. Finish saw Myers go for the roster cut, but Something got him with the blackhole slam first and picked up the win. Not much to this match.

Myers got the mic, but before he said anything, Beale attacked Something from behind. The teamed up on Something until Matt Cardona made his return to even the odds, hit radio silence on Beale, and cleared the ring. We’re not done with Cardona vs Myers.

– D’lo Brown & Josh Matthews ran down tonight’s card and a quick update on Slammiversary.

– Gia Miller interviewed Deonna Purrazzo that now that she’s by herself and with no contenders, what are her plans. Purrazzo talked about all the things that she has achieved while Kimber Lee and Susan never did anything while they were with her. She said she was headed to the ring to make an open challenge to anyone who wanted a shot at her.

– Miller interviewed Sami Callihan and asked for Callihan’s thoughts on tonight’s contract signing. Callihan was barely starting when a sheriff approached and arrested Callihan for assault and battery on Don Callis. The belief is that this attack happened minutes ago.

Knockouts Champion Deonna Purrazzo defeated Lady Frost

Lady Frost is making her Impact debut.

Match started with both women doing some chain wrestling and reversals, with Frost showing that she could hang with Purrazzo in her game, but it quickly changed when Purrazzo cut Frost off and went for a striking approach. Frost came back with strikes too, but failed to land a moonsault double knee. Purrazzo locked in the Fujiwara armbar and tapped her out. Good showing for Frost, even if the match went down as a squash.

After the match, Purrazzo said that she had just shown that she’s ready for anyone at any time and she proved that with Frost. Suddenly, Gail Kim came out to the ring.

Before Kim could talk, Purrazzo thanked her for all the things she had done for women in wrestling, but she expected the same amount of respect and didn’t want to get interrupted. Kim said she respected Purrazzo and was proud of all the things she had achieved. Kim was there to talk about Slammiversary, Purrazzo thought that Kim was challenging, but Kim told her that it wasn’t her who would be at Slammiversary, she was retired. Kim said that at Slammiversary, Purrazzo will be defending against a surprise opponent, revealed at Slammiversary.

Kim told Purrazzo that since she just said she could take on anyone without preparing, she didn’t need to know who her opponent was.

– Impact+ Flashback Moment of the Week was Mickey James vs Angelina Love for the Knockouts Championship at Slammiversary 9. Hints?

– Over at Swinger’s Palace, Moose jumped Chris Sabin. That was it.

– Miller interviewed Chris Bey about finally getting involved in the X Division warfare happening. He said that he picked a side because Austin and Raju brought in Shera and Fulton and he agreed they made it harder for the rest and him to get an advantage.

W. Morrissey defeated Jason Page, DeAnte Evans, and Danny Smith

Before the match, Morrissey accepted Eddie Edwards’ challenge at Slammiversary. Edwards made the challenge after Morrissey jumped Edwards last week.

The match was a squash, he hit a couple of clotheslines, powerbombs, and an ugly looking F-5 before stacking them up and pinning all three at the same time. Even for a squash, this wasn’t that good.

Morrissey vs Edwards at Slammiversary confirmed.

– Miller approached Don Callis about the report of Callihan assaulting him. Callis, in a serious manner, indeed confirmed that Callihan had attacked him and that he had been to counseling and trying to overcome the psychological harm. Callis said he had footage of the attack and would show it.

The footage shows someone dressed as Callihan, with sharpie tattoos, attacking Callis. D’Amore approached Callis and told them they still expected him and Omega for the contract signing. He said that even without Callihan, he needed a main event at Slammiversary.

Rosemary & Havok defeated Kimber Lee & Susan in a Knockouts Championship number 1 contendership match

After breaking away from Purrazzo, Kimber Lee and Susan started chasing the tag titles that Fire ‘n Flava hold. Rosemary and Havok have a couple of singles wins over Hogan and Steelz, and so they’re also chasing the championships. This is a number one contendership match for Slammiversary.

Match was back and forth, both teams traded momentum on a couple of occasions, but in the end, Rosemary got the win over Susan with a spear. This was really short and not much to it.

Rosemary and Havok earned a title shot against Kiera Hogan & Tasha Steelz at Slammiversary.

– We had a new episode of All About Me with Tenille Dashwood. This week’s special guest interviewer was Jazz. Dashwood got angry that Jazz didn’t have questions for her, so she said that she went on a rant about feeling betrayed that no one in the roster can figure out their own problems and tag team with her. She felt that Rachael Ellering was the perfect choice and Jazz ruined everything.

Dashwood attacked Jazz as she was leaving.

After the commercial break, Jordynne Grace and Rachael Ellering cut a promo addressing Dashwood and Kaleb’s attack on Jazz. They challenged them to a match for next week.

– Last week, Swann & Mack wrestled TJP and Bahh, trying to earn a shot at the tag team titles, but the champions, VIolent By Design, attacked both teams.

Swann cut a promo saying that he and Mack are about fighting and that VBD messed with their business and attacked them from behind. Swann and Mack challenged them to face them in the ring and put the titles on the line.

TJP and Fallah Bahh came out instead. TJP said that Swann and Mack and them, they all have a common enemy and both teams have a score to settle, but he wasn’t going to let them use that excuse to get a shot for the titles, because the line was behind TJP and Bahh. As they argued who deserved the spot, Violent By Design showed up.

As the three teams were getting face to face, none other than the Good Brothers came out, dressed for halloween. Gallows preached that it was about time that they regained the titles.

Tommy Dreamer, the new Anthem representative, came out and announced that VBD will defend the titles against all three teams at Slammiversary. Dreamer said that tonight, we’re getting a 4-way match to preview that match.

Karl Anderson (with Doc Gallows) defeated Rich Swann (with Willie Mack),  Deaner (with VBD), and TJP (with Fallah Bahh)

The story of the match was that we always had two matches happening, one inside the ring, one outside, and all four men kept taking turns to mix up the pairings.

Early on, we saw TJP get the better of Swann, only for Deaner to get in the ring for some heat on TJP. The rhythm eventually broke down when Swann got everyone on the floor for a top rope senton.

After the dive, Anderson took out TJP on the guardrail, while Deaner and Swann fought in the ring. Anderson tried to join Deaner against Swann, but Deaner attacked Anderson equally.

Towards the end, all four men got in the ring, taking turns to get some offense in. TJP hit a detonation kick on Anderson, went for a mamba splash on Deaner, but Deaner moved. Swann took out TJP, only for Deaner to jump in and hit the Deaner DDT on Swann for a near fall. Deaner got rid of TJP, but was then caught by a gun stun by Anderson for the pin. Good match, should be even better at Slammiversary with the big lads in.

After the match, Doc Gallows got face to face with Joe Doering. The Good Brothers walk away with the momentum.

– Backstage, Kimber Lee told Susan that she had a backup plan if they lost tonight. Father James Mitchell walked up and took Susan. Mitchell told Lee that he promised nothing, but it was Lee’s last resort.

– Brown and Matthews ran down the updated card for Slammiversary. Also for next week, Raju, Austin, Shera, & Fulton vs Bey, Alexander, Miguel, & Williams; Bahh vs Gallows vs Doering vs Mack; Havok vs Tasha Steelz; and Tenille Dashwood and Kaleb with a K vs Grace & Ellering.

– Finally, it was time for the Slammiversary main event contract signing. D’Amore said that he expected that Callihan would be available for Slammiversary and all problems solved, but that he was not going to make it for tonight’s contract signing. Nonetheless, Kenny Omega and Don Callis were there to sign the contract.

Callis first cut a promo about Callihan being a man with many strikes and being unreliable. Omega signed the contract, but right after doing so, we got video footage of Callis recording the fake attack and revealing that he had paid Johnny Swinger and John E. Bravo to help him.

Sami Callihan suddenly appeared and brawled with Omega, low blowed Omega and hit the package piledriver. Callihan signed the contract and made it official. Before leaving, Callihan powerbombed Omega through the table and posed with the title.

Impact Wrestling live results: Kenny Omega in six-man tag action

Preview by Josh Nason

Attempting to get a measure of revenge for being fired, Don Callis has assembled Impact World Champion Kenny Omega and the Good Brothers for a six-man tag team match against Sami Callihan, Moose and Chris Sabin, put together by Tommy Dreamer after Callis suggested the idea.

The match will be a preview for the July Slammiversary clash between Omega and Callihan for Omega’s title in addition to Moose vs. Sabin.

Thursday’s show will also feature Eddie Edwards vs. Satoshi Kojima one week after the two failed to wrest the Tag Team Titles away from Violent By Design; Chris Bey vs. Petey Williams in a match between former X-Division Champions; and TJP and Fallah Bahh vs. Rich Swann and Willie Mack.

A week after she defeated Susan, Knockouts Champion Deonna Purrazzo will take on Kimber Lee in a non-title match on the BTI pre-show as the feud between the former stablemates rages on.

Our live coverage begins at 8 PM Eastern.

* * * * * * * * * *

Knockouts Champion Deonna Purrazzo defeated Kimber Lee (with Susan) in a non-title match on BTI.

* * * * * * * * * *

Opening video recapped Don Callis and Tommy Dreamer setting up tonight’s main event between Omega and the Good Brothers vs Callihan, Moose, and Sabin. Also, Edwards and Kojima challenged for the tag team titles last week, which ended with Edwards asking Kojima for a singles match, only to get confronted by W. Morrissey.

Show was going to open with Edwards vs Kojima, but before Edwards could come out, W. Morrissey appeared on the screen and said that Edwards was not going to make it to the match tonight. Morrissey said that everyone respected Edwards, but no one had his back when he jumped him in the parking lot.

Instead of Eddie Edwards, Brian Myers and Sam Beale came out. Myers talked trash to Kojima and ended up attacking him 2-on-1 until Jake Something came down for the save. Referee came out with word from management that a tag match was now official.

Satoshi Kojima & Jake Something defeated Brian Myers & Sam Beale

Match started as a brawl outside the ring, when Kojima and Something brought back Myers and Beale after they tried to leave to the back.

Once in the ring, Something got cut off by Myers and Beale, worked on for most of the match, they kept tagging in and out, never letting go of Something. It was until Something managed to hit a desperation double clothesline that he got a short breather, enough to tag Kojima in.

Kojima took out Myers, hit the machine gun chops on Beale, the top rope elbow, DDT, but as he was about to hit the Koji cutter, he got cut off by Myers. Something hit a blackhole slam on Myers, allowing Kojima to hit the Koji cutter and lariato for the win.

I take it Kojima either didn’t understand Morrissey, or he just wasn’t all that concerned about Edwards getting jumped outside the building. This should be his final night with Impact, so he probably didn’t care much about Edwards.

– Gia Miller interviewed D’Amore about Anthem’s decision to have Dreamer as their representative to oversee operations. He didn’t say much before Rosemary and Havok appeared before them and claimed that they had wins over Fire ‘n Flava and wanted to challenge for the Knockouts tag titles. D’Amore didn’t make it official, but he was going to consider it if they kept the magic to a minimum.

– D’lo Brown and Josh Matthews ran down tonight’s card.

Rachael Ellering (with Jazz) defeated Tenille Dashwood (with Kaleb with a K)

For weeks, Dashwood has been a thorn in Ellering’s shoe, she worsened the rift between Jordynne Grace and Ellering, and after weeks of polite rejections, Ellering finally had enough of Dashwood and challenged her to a match.

The action was back and forward early on, but as Ellering started to gain momentum, Kaleb was there to distract her and allowed Dashwood to cut her off and turned things around.

Dashwood had control for a long while, she kept going for pin attempts, but Ellering kept kicking out regardless of what Dashwood would throw at her. It wasn’t until Dashwood distracted herself taking a photo, that Ellering caught her  with a running swinging neckbreaker and was able to cut off the momentum. Kaleb tried to interfere and give Dashwood control again, but Ellering got rid of him, blocked a sunset flip from Dashwood, and rolled her down for the pin win.

Dashwood and Kaleb ganged up on Ellering and later Jazz when Jazz tried to save Ellering. Grace ran down and helped clear the ring. Ellering offered a handshake, but Grace instead hugged her for the reconciliation. I was surprised they didn’t milk the dissension more.

– Miller interviewed Chris Bey about being a neutral party in the gang war that is happening in the X Division. Bey said that he was out there for himself only. Austin, Raju, Shera, and Fulton came down, and while Bey thought they would try to recruit them, they told Bey they didn’t need him, but appreciated he wasn’t getting in the way. The Chris Bey babyface turn is coming.

Rich Swann & Willie Mack vs TJP & Fallah Bahh ended in no contest.

While not official, this match came about as a friendly challenge between each team, as they both have eyed the tag team championships, currently in the hands of Violent By Design.

This was a fun match. It started with some stalemates between both teams, some high flying moves from Swann, but suddenly, Violent By Design ran down and attacked both teams. Rhino gored Mack, Deaner hit the Deaner DDT on TJP, Doering hit a DVD on Swann, and both teams were left laying as VBD posed over their bodies.

This surely has to set up a 3-way tag match for Slammiversary.

– Backstage, Hogan and Steelz argued that Havok and Rosemary shouldn’t be allowed to just jump in and ask for a title challenge, they should work from the bottom to earn their spot. They went looking for D’Amore, and as usual, as means to get rid of Steelz and Hogan, D’Amore just booked a match where Havok and Rosemary can earn their shot. Hogan and Steelz are too good.

– Miller interviewed Dreamer and his team for tonight’s match and whether everyone is on the same page. Dreamer told them that they all had the same enemy and they needed to work together. Sabin said that he was there for Dreamer and Impact, and was willing to work with the team for it. Moose told them that he doesn’t care about anyone, all he cares about is winning. Callihan said that all that matters is beating up Omega and company.

Chris Bey defeated Petey Williams

Similar to Bey’s issues with Austin and Raju, he also has issues with Petey Williams and Trey Miguel, as they also hoped he’d join them to confront Austin and Raju, and instead, Bey left them for dead.

Great fast paced back and forward match. Williams got a couple of bear falls early on, but momentum quickly turned when Bey caught him with a scissors kick between the ropes. The match finally slowed down when Bey locked leg scissors on Williams, but he reversed the lock. Williams came back with a big German, running knees, but when he went for the Canadian destroyer, Bey blocked and hit a TKO version neckbreaker. Bey went for the art of finesse, but was countered into a Russian side leg sweep. Williams once again chased the destroyer, but was blocked and instead locked in the sharpshooter for another near fall.

Finish finally came after Bey blocked yet another destroyer, hit a cutter and the art of finesse for the win.

These two will meet again on Slammiversary in the Ultimate X match for the D Division title.

After the match, Ace Austin, Rohit Raju, Shera, and Fulton all came out. They attacked Williams while Austin and Raju teased Bey to not get involved. Bey was leaving to the back when Miguel and Josh Alexander ran down to save Williams. The numbers game was too much though, but Bey eventually had a change of heart and ran down to help attack Austin and friends. All the babyfaces took out Raju and Austin and controlled the ring. All the babyfaces accepted Bey to their side.

– Backstage, Susan and Kimber Lee plotted that their plans had failed and they had hit rock bottom. Lee tried to convince Susan that they should chase the titles, and if everything else fails, there’s always Su Yung as a backup plan. Susan didn’t know who Su Yung was.

– Jake Something cut a promo about not being the man he was before, he was strong and it didn’t matter what his name was, because he did the talking in the ring. He challenged Brian Myers to a match and if he wins, Myers must call him “professional”.

Steve Maclin defeated Manny Smith

Maclin debuted a couple of weeks ago, this being only his second match.

This was a squash match through and through, and while it was somewhat longer than usual, Maclin never lost control. Maclin got a headlock early on and kept it for a while, hit an olympic slam, a couple of lariats, a spear to a Smith on the tree of woe, and finally, a German and elbows before hitting his signature Michinoku driver II-B for the win.

Team Callis (Kenny Omega, Karl Anderson, & Doc Gallows) (with Don Callis) defeated Team Dreamer (Sami Callihan, Chris Sabin, & Moose) (with Tommy Dreamer)

Two weeks ago, Dreamer, on behalf of Anthem, fired Don Callis from his EVP position with Impact Wrestling. Last week, in a passive aggressive way, Callis challenged Dreamer to come up with a team to challenge his team of Omega and the Good Brothers.

Team Dreamer is a bit of turmoil, as Sabin and Moose are currently feuding and set to wrestle each other at Slammiversary, but also, neither man is on great terms with Callihan, who has always been the antagonist.

The dissension between Moose and Sabin quickly came up, and so Callihan decided to tag in first and deal with the match himself. He managed to maintain control throughout the break, working ok with Sabin, but once again, Sabin and Moose started tagging each other the hard way, and it was through these distractions, that Anderson was able to cut off Sabin and turned things around.

Omega and the Brothers mostly worked over Sabin with quick tags, a couple of triple team moves, constantly going for the head with strikes and chokes. Sabin at one point managed to escape and jump for the hot tag, but Moose didn’t extend the hand, so instead Callihan had to jump in for the hot tag.

Callihan was going for the package piledriver on Anderson, but Omega distracted the referee to allow Anderson to low blow Callihan and force him to tag in Sabin again. Sabin did keep down Omega and company, but now Moose blind tagged himself in, cut off Sabin’s momentum, and when Sabin complained, Moose instead tagged himself out via chokeslam on Sabin.

Outside the ring, Dreamer complained to Moose about turning on them, but because Callis pushed Dreamer into Moose without them noticing, Moose thought that Dreamer had attacked and so attacked back.

Back in the ring, without Moose and Callihan, Sabin was an easy prey for Omega and the Good Brothers to finish and pin for the win.

Omega and company celebrated in the ring as the show went off the air.
