Bianca Belair wins Elimination Chamber match, earns WWE WrestleMania title shot

Bianca Belair has secured a WrestleMania 41 title shot.

By winning the women’s Elimination Chamber match on Saturday night, Belair has earned the right to challenge for the Women’s World Championship at WrestleMania this April. She will be facing either Rhea Ripley or IYO SKY for the belt. Ripley is the current champion but has a title defense against SKY on Raw this coming Monday.

Liv Morgan, Alexa Bliss, Roxanne Perez, Bayley, and Naomi were the other participants in the women’s Chamber match. The last three remaining at the end were Belair, Morgan, and Bliss. A Twisted Bliss almost eliminated Belair, but Morgan immediately pinned Bliss after she hit the move. Belair and Morgan then went back and forth until Belair got the victory with the KOD.

In storyline, Belair had to overcome an emotional start to Elimination Chamber. She watched on from her pod as the returning Jade Cargill beat down Naomi, with it being indicated that Naomi was Cargill’s mystery attacker who took her out in November 2024. Belair & Cargill were the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions when Cargill was forced out of action. Naomi replaced Cargill as Belair’s partner, but they recently dropped the tag titles to Morgan & Raquel Rodriguez.

A confrontation between Belair, Ripley, and SKY took place on the stage after Belair’s win. If Ripley retains against SKY, Ripley vs. Belair at WrestleMania will be the first time they have ever faced off in a televised one-on-one match on the WWE main roster.

WrestleMania 41 is being held at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on Saturday, April 19 and Sunday, April 20.

Jade Cargill returns at WWE Elimination Chamber, mystery attacker revealed

Jade Cargill is back — and it looks like the identity of her attacker has been revealed.

Before returning tonight, Cargill had been away from WWE programming since being taken out by a mystery attacker in November 2024. She returned at the start of Elimination Chamber with revenge on her mind. As Liv Morgan and Naomi were about to begin the women’s Elimination Chamber match, Cargill’s music hit and she made her way down to the ring. WWE teased that she was going to go after Morgan, but Cargill beat down Naomi instead.

The indication given was that Naomi is turning heel and was Cargill’s mystery attacker. Cargill’s beatdown included kicking Naomi into a Chamber pod and slamming the cage door into her head. Naomi was then stretchered out and removed from the Elimination Chamber match.

From her Chamber pod, Bianca Belair was emotionally distraught watching the attack. Belair & Cargill were the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions at the time Cargill was taken out last November. In Cargill’s place, Naomi teamed with Belair as her new partner. They dropped the belts to Liv Morgan & Raquel Rodriguez recently.

Cargill did have a legitimate injury when she was temporarily written off WWE TV last November but is now cleared to compete.

The Latest: WWE Elimination Chamber media call highlights

Welcome to another episode of The Latest with Denise Salcedo breaking down the biggest wrestling news headlines of the week so far.

Ahead of WWE Elimination Chamber, WWE Superstars Sami Zayn, Roxanne Perez, Bianca Belair and Drew McIntyre spoke to the media about their upcoming matches on the show. Here are the top highlights.

The Rock says he wants Cody Rhodes to be his ‘champion,’ will be at WWE Elimination Chamber for answer

The Rock wants Cody Rhodes to be his champion.

At the top of the third hour of Friday’s SmackDown, The Rock came out and ambiguously told Cody Rhodes that he wanted Rhodes to be his ‘champion’ before ultimately saying he wanted Cody’s soul. He told Cody that he would be at the Elimination Chamber next weekend, and he wanted an answer then.

The Rock first came out and officially announced that next year’s WrestleMania would be taking place at the Superdome in New Orleans. After that, he called Cody to the ring. Rock said that since WrestleMania 40 they had become good friends, and mentioned giving Cody his flowers during the Netflix premiere of Raw. He reiterated that he was the most powerful person in WWE and touted his connections to TKO owner Ari Emanuel. He then told Cody that he wanted him to be his champion. Rhodes responded that he was their champion, referring to the crowd.

Rock said that he wanted to make Cody more than just the champion, mentioning his social media followers, and he could open doors for Cody that have never been opened before, he could even be his brother. Rock said that when Cody refused to step aside for him at WrestleMania 40, he knew Cody was special. Rock then asked Cody to become ‘his’ champion and would be at Elimination Chamber for his answer.

The segment ended with The Rock saying there was nothing more he wanted in the world than that, seemingly referring to the WWE Championship. Rhodes asked if that’s what this was all about. Rock said it wasn’t about that, he said he wanted Cody’s soul.

A post-show press conference that will feature The Rock will take place immediately following SmackDown on WWE’s social media channels.

Final two wrestlers qualify for WWE Elimination Chamber

The final two Elimination Chamber participants have qualified.

Roxanne Perez and Seth Rollins won their qualifying matches on Monday’s Raw. That means they will now take part in the Elimination Chamber matches set to take place on March 1 in Toronto, Canada.

NXT star Perez was the first to qualify on Monday, pinning Raquel Rodriguez. Liv Morgan was at ringside when Bianca Belair & Naomi, who have accused Morgan & Rodriguez of injuring Jade Cargill, came out and attacked Morgan. The distraction allowed Perez to hit pop rocks on Rodriguez to pick up the win.

In the main event, Seth Rollins defeated Finn Balor in a competitive back-and-forth match. The finish had Balor hit the coup de gras, but Rollins countered and applied a crossface. Rollins was first to get back to his feet and connected with the stomp to secure his ticket to Toronto.

The updated card for the Elimination Chamber:

  • Men’s Elimination Chamber: John Cena vs. CM Punk vs. Drew McIntyre vs. Logan Paul vs. Damian Priest vs. Seth Rollins

Unsanctioned match between Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn set for WWE Elimination Chamber

An unsanctioned match has been added to WWE Elimination Chamber.

On Raw, Sami Zayn challenged Kevin Owen to a match in Toronto on March 1, saying he wanted to face Owens where their long history with one another began. General Manager Adam Pearce came out and scolded Zayn, telling him that he knows that medical told Zayn he wasn’t cleared. Zayn said he wouldn’t leave the ring until he got the match. Pearce then agreed to a match, but it would be an unsanctioned bout, meaning anything goes.

Two weeks ago on Raw, Zayn lost an Elimination Chamber qualifying match to CM Punk. Immediately after the match, Owens came into the ring and quickly took out Zayn with a package piledriver. In a video posted on social media last week, Owens explained that Zayn had betrayed him by not helping him win the WWE Championship at the Royal Rumble.

Here is everything announced so far for the Elimination Chamber:

  • Men’s Elimination Chamber: John Cena vs. CM Punk vs. Drew McIntyre vs. Logan Paul vs. Damian Priest vs. TBD

Trish Stratus & Tiffany Stratton challenge Nia Jax & Candice LeRae for WWE Elimination Chamber

A tag team match has been proposed for next month’s Elimination Chamber.

After Nia Jax and Candice LeRae assaulted both Trish Stratus and Tiffany Stratton on SmackDown, Stratus met with Stratton backstage and proposed that the two team together to solve their issues at Elimination Chamber. Stratton liked the idea, saying it would be Tiffy Time and Trishy Time. Announcers said it would need to be approved by Nick Aldis.

Earlier in the show, Stratus was interviewed in the crowd and said she would be at Elimination Chamber in Toronto. Later, while Stratton was defending the WWE Women’s title against Nia Jax, the ref called for the bell after LeRae blatantly interfered in the match. The two teamed up on Stratton as Stratus attempted to make the save. However, she was laid out by Jax who squashed her in the corner.

As the segment ended, Charlotte Flair came to the ring and sat down on a chair next to a recovering Stratton. It was there that Flair announced she would be challenging Stratton at WrestleMania 41.

Damian Priest & Naomi qualify for WWE Elimination Chamber

Two more have qualified for next month’s Elimination Chamber.

Naomi was the first to qualify on Friday’s SmackDown, defeating Chelsea Green to earn a spot in the women’s chamber match that will take place on March 1 in Toronto. She won after pinning Green with a split-legged moonsault.

In the main event, Damian Priest pinned Braun Strowman in a match that also involved Jacob Fatu to advance to the men’s chamber. The finish saw Solo Sikoa get involved in the match, helping out Fatu. Cody Rhodes came out as the two brawled. Tama Togna came out and accidentally got taken out by Solo amidst the chaos. Fatu exited the ring and confronted Solo, which led to Rhodes shoving Fatu into Solo. Back in the ring, Priest blocked a running powerslam attempt by Strowman and pinned him with the south of heaven chokeslam.

The final Elimination Chamber qualifying matches will take place on Raw this coming Monday. Finn Balor will face Seth Rollins, while Roxanne Perez will square off against Raquel Rodriguez.

In the main event of Monday’s show, Logan Paul defeated Rey Mysterio after hitting a new finishing move, which saw Paul turn an x-plex into a DDT, pinning Rey Mysterio to advance. It has now been set that the winner of the men’s Elimination Chamber match will face Cody Rhodes for the WWE Championship at WrestleMania after events from Raw saw Jey Uso pick Gunther for his WrestleMania match.

Next week’s Raw will see Seth Rollins take on Finn Balor and Roxanne Perez face Raquel Rodriguez in qualifying matches. This coming Friday’s SmackDown qualfiying matches will have Jacob Fatu taking on Damian Priest and Braun Strowman while Chelsea Green will square off against Naomi.

Belair was the first to advance on SmackDown, defeating Piper Niven with an impressive-looking KOD. Later in the show, Bliss defeated Candice LeRae with the Sister Abigail, earning her a spot in Toronto.

The sole men’s eliminator match saw Drew McIntyre defeat LA Knight and Jimmy Uso. The finish had McIntyre striking Knight with the claymore kick right as Knight was about to lay out Uso with the BFT, allowing McIntyre to cover Knight for the win.

Morgan won her qualifying match over IYO SKY by disqualification after Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley came out and attacked both Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez, who was at ringside. Shortly before their match, Morgan jumped SKY backstage. When Ripley went to check on SKY, Rodriguez pushed her over a stage box.

In the main event, Punk defeated Sami Zayn to earn his spot in the chamber. After the match, the two shook hands, but Punk was bumped out of the ring after Kevin Owens attacked Zayn from behind, eventually laying him out with the package piledriver.

John Cena was the first man to declare himself for the men’s Elimination Chamber during the Royal Rumble post-show. Triple H later confirmed Cena’s entry, saying after everything Cena has done for the company, he had earned the right to do it.

Elimination Chamber qualifying matches continue on next WWE Raw

Qualifying matches for the Elimination Chamber PLE will continue on the February 10 edition of WWE Raw.

In a men’s chamber match qualifier, WWE Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio will face Logan Paul on next week’s show. Two of six spots are currently filled for the men’s chamber match after John Cena declared for the bout at Saturday’s Royal Rumble press conference, plus CM Punk defeated Sami Zayn in this week’s Raw main event to qualify.

The winner of the men’s chamber match will challenge for whichever World title Rumble winner Jey Uso elects not to pursue. Uso vs. Gunther for the World Heavyweight title seems to be the likely direction, but Uso will also appear on this Friday’s SmackDown to tease challenging Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE title.

A women’s chamber qualifier is also set for next week’s Raw, with Bayley facing Women’s Intercontinental Champion Lyra Valkyria.

Liv Morgan is the lone woman to qualify for the women’s chamber match to this point after defeating IYO SKY by disqualification in a qualifier on this week’s Raw.

  • He plugged WWE Evolve, which will premiere next month on Tubi. He said it will feature talent from WWE’s ID program.
