Gallus will take on the team of Butch and Tyler Bate on this week’s NXT. Butch failed to win the NXT Heritage Cup at No Mercy this past Saturday thanks to Gallus, who attacked Butch and Bate towards the end of the match. It was Butch that defeated Mark Coffey on last week’s NXT, winning the Global Heritage Invitational tournament.
Gigi Dolin and Blair Davenport will also finally meet in the ring on Tuesday. The two were originally set to meet on last week’s NXT. However, Davenport attacked Dolin backstage, preventing the match from happening. After Davenport defeated Kelani Jordan during the WWE NXT No Mercy kickoff, Dolin hit the ring and attacked Davenport after the match.
The start of the NXT Women’s Breakout Tournament will also begin on Tuesday. Jakara Jackson, Karmen Petrovic, Lola Vice, Jaida Parker, Izzi Dame, Dani Palmer, Kelani Jordan, and Arianna Grace will take part in this year’s tournament.
Two-thirds of British Strong Style could be reunited at NXT No Mercy.
Butch posted to social media on Wednesday to say that he’s asked Tyler Bate to be in his corner when he challenges Noam Dar for the Heritage Cup on Saturday.
“I need a second at No Mercy Saturday. @noamdar is gonna have all of meta-four out there so I’ve asked an old mate to watch my back. Someone who knows Noam and Heritage Cup rules pretty well. BSS one night only Probably,” wrote Butch.
I need a second at No Mercy Saturday. @noamdar is gonna have all of meta-four out there so I’ve asked an old mate to watch my back. Someone who knows Noam and Heritage Cup rules pretty well.
Bate, Butch, and Trent Seven comprised British Strong Style in Progress and other promotions beginning in 2016 and reunited in NXT beginning in 2018. The group disbanded when Seven was released from the promotion in July 2022.
Butch earned the right to challenge Dar for the Heritage Cup after winning the Global Heritage Invitational tournament. He defeated Joe Coffey in the finals of the tournament last night on NXT.
Dar and Butch have faced each other just once previously in WWE. Butch, then wrestling as Pete Dunne, successfully defended the NXT UK Championship against Dar on the first edition of NXT UK on July 28, 2018. Dunne also defeated Dar on a SWE show in 2014 and then again for RevPro in 2016.
WWE NXT No Mercy 2023 lineup:
NXT Champion Carmelo Hayes defends against Ilja Dragunov
NXT North American Champion Dominik Mysterio defends against Trick Williams (Dragon Lee will be the special guest referee)
NXT Tag Team Champions Tony D’Angelo & Stacks defend against Bronco Nima & Lucien Price, The Creed Brothers, and Angel & Humberto in a fatal four-way match
NXT Heritage Cup Champion Noam Dar defends against Butch
NXT’s Global Heritage Invitational will continue with a Group A match airing on Level Up this Friday night.
WWE has announced that Tyler Bate vs. Charlie Dempsey will take place on this week’s episode of NXT Level Up. The show airs on Peacock/WWE Network at 10 p.m. Eastern time on Fridays.
Bate and Dempsey are each competing in their second match of the round-robin tournament. Bate started off with a victory against Axiom, while Dempsey lost to Butch.
Here are the current tournament standings:
Group A —
Butch: 3 points (1 win, 1 draw, 0 losses)
Tyler Bate: 2 points (1 win, 0 draws, 0 losses)
Axiom: 1 point (0 wins, 1 draw, 1 loss)
Charlie Dempsey: 0 points (0 wins, 0 draws, 1 loss)
Bate vs. Butch and Joe Coffey vs. Duke Hudson are set for next Tuesday’s NXT episode.
The winner of Group A faces the winner of Group B on the Tuesday, September 26 edition of NXT. The winner of that match then advances to challenge Noam Dar for the Heritage Cup at NXT No Mercy on Saturday, September 30.
Here’s the full lineup for this Friday’s NXT Level Up:
Global Heritage Invitational match: Tyler Bate vs. Charlie Dempsey
Dani Palmer & Tatum Paxley vs. Lash Legend & Jakara Jackson
Tyriek Igwe & Tyson Dupont vs. Bronco Nima & Lucien Price
A Tyler Bate vs. Dabba-Kato singles match has been added to the lineup for the Tuesday, August 29 WWE NXT episode.
Dabba-Kato has targeted Bate with attacks on recent NXT episodes, including on last week’s show where he hit Bate with a chokeslam on the apron as Bate was cornering Nathan Frazier in a Heritage Cup match.
A social media angle hinting at a women’s tag team match for this week’s episode was also shot on Sunday, with Dana Brooke & Kelani Jordan vs. Elektra Lopez & Lola Vice the likely outcome, although that match has yet to be made official.
Already announced for Tuesday’s episode are the beginning of the Global Heritage Invitational, an NXT Women’s Championship number one contender’s match, a steel cage match, plus Eddy Thorpe vs. Dijak.
Here is the current official lineup for this week’s NXT show:
Steel cage match: The Creed Brothers vs. The Dyad – if the Creed Brothers win, they are reinstated in NXT
Four-way match for NXT Women’s title number one contendership: Blair Davenport vs. Gigi Dolin vs. Kiana James vs. Roxanne Perez
Tyler Bate will be in action on NXT’s go-home show for Battleground.
WWE has announced that Bate vs. Eddy Thorpe will take place on NXT this Tuesday night. The match comes in advance of Bate challenging for the NXT North American Championship at Battleground.
The North American title match at Battleground will see Wes Lee defend his title against Bate and Joe Gacy. The match was announced during a segment with Lee, Bate, and Gacy on NXT last week. Bate wanted to face Gacy at Battleground. But, even though they’re friends, Bate informed Lee that he also wants a shot at the North American Championship. Lee agreed to defend the title in a triple threat match.
Battleground is being held in Lowell, Massachusetts on Sunday, May 28.
Thorpe (former NJPW wrestler Karl Fredericks) made his WWE television debut on NXT Level Up this February. He’s gotten wins against Damon Kemp, Javier Bernal, and Myles Borne on NXT.
The updated lineup for Tuesday’s NXT is listed below:
NXT Women’s Championship tournament semifinals: Roxanne Perez vs. Tiffany Stratton
NXT Women’s Championship tournament semifinals: Lyra Valkyria vs. Cora Jade
Two title matches have been added to NXT Battleground.
Tuesday’s NXT show confirmed that Wes Lee will defend the North American title in a three-way against Joe Gacy and Tyler Bate on May 28. Meanwhile, Noam Dar will defend the NXT Heritage Cup trophy against Dragon Lee.
Gacy and Ava attacked Wes Lee and Tyler Bate backstage on Tuesday, injuring Bate’s arm in the process. Later in the show, Lee came out and called out Gacy. He and Ava appeared on a nearby perch, with Gacy accusing Bate of deceiving Lee, while making it clear he wanted a North American title match. Bate came out and denied he was deceiving Lee, but did say that he too wanted a title match. Lee said he would take on both men at Battleground.
Dar agreed to defend the Heritage Cup trophy during events that took place during an episode of Supernova Sessions. Dar belittled Lee, pretending that he didn’t know Lee spoke English. Nathan Frazer came out and said that Lee should get a match for the trophy, and that he should get a match against Dar as well for next week. Dar eventually agreed to both matches.
On NXT Tuesday, The Creed Brothers also issued a challenge to Gallus for the NXT Tag Team titles. However, that match was not confirmed.
Here is the updated lineup for NXT Battleground:
NXT Championship: Carmelo Hayes (c) vs. Bron Breakker
NXT Women’s Championship finals: Tiffany Stratton or Roxanne Perez vs. Lyra Valkyria or Cora Jade
NXT Heritage Cup: Noam Dar (c) vs. Dragon Lee
NXT North American Championship: Wes Lee (c) vs. Tyler Bate vs. Joe Gacy
This week’s WWE Main Event was taped at the Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle, Washington, before Monday’s Raw. It featured two really good matches that made for a very watchable show.
Nikki Cross defeated Zoey Stark (6:27)
This was good, but probably went much longer than it needed to. The crowd was into Cross as Stark played the heel here.
Although a rest hold is the one thing I detest more than anything in these short Main Event matches, Stark at least used a cravat which played into the story of the match. Stark seems to have a good ring IQ as she and Cross worked well together.
Cross trapped Stark between the ring and the apron and smashed her which the crowd seemed to love. They also cheered when she dodged a third consecutive charge to the corner. Cross used a dropkick to the knee followed by a bulldog to get some separation.
Cross went up top, but Stark had it scouted. She hit Cross with a high kick to bring her down off the top rope and then used a baseball slide for a near fall.
Cross reversed Stark’s attack and came off the second turnbuckle with a tornado DDT. She held on and picked Stark back up to plant her with a neckbreaker to get the win.
Dolph Ziggler defeated Tyler Bate (9:28)
This was very strong, particularly in the last few minutes. Ziggler can work with anyone and Bate has very much become the same. It was a class act all round that marked Bate’s Main Event debut.
This was Ziggler’s first Main Event outing in over a year, but his first singles match on this show since 2020. It was February 2022 when he was last here with Robert Roode. With Roode having gone under the knife at the end of last year for spinal surgery, Ziggler has had to work solo of late.
The crowd was very much into this as you would hope. They did some mat work early on and did the cool spot that Curt Hennig used to do where he would get slapped and sell it by spitting out his gum so it looked like he’d lost a tooth. Ziggler has it down to a tee.
After the commercials, Ziggler was in full flow, posturing for the crowd. He covered Bate with an arm flex and then did a handstand during a rear chin lock.
Bate got the hope when he kicked out of the Famouser and caught the superkick that Ziggler went for. They got a ‘this is awesome’ chant going after Bate used an airplane spin for a near fall. Getting that chant is almost entirely unique — no one ever gets that kind of reaction on this show.
The finish was Bate going for the Tyler Driver ‘97, but Ziggler flipped him over his back and nailed him with a superkick for the win. Bate sold the kick so well here and Ziggler celebrated like he had won an absolute epic.
The work that Bate and Ziggler did buried on a show with such limited viewership is a disgrace, but goes to underline two things: Ziggler is criminally underutilized these days and Bate has a massive future ahead of him.
Two of NXT’s brightest stars will face off in a singles match for the first time ever tonight.
With both wanting to be the next challenger for Bron Breakker’s NXT Championship, Carmelo Hayes vs. Tyler Bate is set to take place on NXT. Last week’s episode saw Hayes stare down Breakker after Breakker retained the NXT title against Jinder Mahal.
Gigi Dolin returned to NXT last week for the first time since the implosion of Toxic Attraction. She immediately went after her former tag team partner Jacy Jayne, attacking Jayne during a match against Indi Hartwell. Dolin will address Jayne on tonight’s show.
Wes Lee issues another challenge for his NXT North American Championship tonight. He retained against Von Wagner in an open challenge two weeks ago.
Meiko Satomura, who is facing Roxanne Perez for the NXT Women’s Championship at Roadblock next Tuesday, will be in action against Zoey Stark. Sol Ruca vs. Elektra Lopez and Briggs & Jensen vs. Indus Sher have also been confirmed for tonight.
Our live coverage starts at 8 p.m. Eastern time.
**********
The show opens with bedlam backstage. Wrestlers were trying to brawl their way to the ring, looking to answer the open challenge thrown down by NXT North American Wes Lee.
A swarm of bodies continue to fight. Malik Blade and Edris Enofe make it on the stage. As they try to decide which one will answer the open challenge, Dabba-Kato comes through like a freight train. He blasts through Blade and Enofe, plowing his way down the aisle. Dabba-Kato pauses at the end of the entrance ramp, very sure of himself.
Out of nowhere, Apollo Crews comes flying in to ambush Dabba-Kato. Crews peppers Dabba-Kato, but Crews is caught by an Undertaker goozle from Kato. Suddenly, a returning Nathan Frazier comes running down the ramp. Frazier leaps over Crews and Dabba-Kato, and Frazier jumps into the ring to answer the open challenege.
NXT North American Champion Wes Lee defeated Nathan Frazier to retain his title
Lee pinned the returning Frazier, and normally I would be against someone losing upon making a big return. However, they had a banger, and Frazier still got over in losing. Great opener.
The live studio audience is hot from the start, chanting “welcome back” for Frazier. This is supposedly his first match on NXT since last October. Frazier returns with a bang, and he is back with a banger of a match in his return.
They wrestle through a commercial break. When the show returns from the break, Frazier attempts a Phoenix Splash, but Lee is able to avoid it. Frazier rolls through and hits the ropes. He and Lee collide when both go for a crossbody. Double down.
Frazier gets a close near fall after a quebrada into a Dragon sleeper. Suplex slop drop, but Lee gets a shoulder up. Another great near fall follows. The first tease a superplex before executing it. Frazier hangs on suplerplex, rolls through, and Lee delivers a twisting neckbreaker. Yet Lee kicks out. The champ is not out.
Lee fights back, and he runs corner to corner doing a flip dive over the ropes to the floor. Back in the ring, Lee delivers his Cardiac Kick finisher. Lee then covers Frazier for a pinfall, and the champ retains his North American title.
Lee and Frazier shake hands and hug after the match. They should be proud, as they had an outstanding match.
Brooks Jensen is feeling blue, and Josh Briggs tries to cheer him up in a locker room skit. Jensen is down about his relationship with Kiana James. They are still together, but he senses something isn’t right since Valentine’s Day. Briggs tries to cheer up Jensen, and Briggs tries to shift his focus to their match tonight.
Tyler Bate is the focus of a video package, hyping his match later tonight against Carmelo Hayes.
Hank Walker is being interviewed by McKenzie Mitchell when Axiom comes in angry about the brawl earlier tonight. Axiom and Walker exchange words, and Walker is thrown into a rage like Bruce Banner. This would seem to set up a math between the two.
Veer pinned Jensen to win the match, after Jensen’s blues bleed over into his match. He costs his team the match.
Indus Sher works over the down-in-the-dumps Jensen. Briggs is growing frustrated, but he able to get the hot tag. Briggs is cleaning house when a groggy Jensen makes a blind tag. Jensen is slow to join in on tandem offense, and Briggs’ frustration boils over.
Briggs yells at Jensen, and Jensen is apologetic. Jensen rolls back into the ring, where he is caught in the clutches of Indus Sher. Sanga chokeslams Jensen, and Sanga whips Jensen towards Veer so that Veer can clobber him. Veer covers Jensen for a pinfall while Sanga blocks Briggs from making the save.
Mahal cuts a promo after the match, challenging The Creeds to find a third partner for a six-man tag match at NXT Roadblock.
Wendy Choo is attacked by an unknown assailant in the parking lot.
Gigi Dolan heads to the ring for a monologue. She enters to Toxic Attraction music. She cuts the music like Rick Rude, and Dolan says this is the last time she comes out to that theme music. She cuts a promo on her way into the ring. Holding a black rose, Dolan waxes on Jacy Jayne turning on her.
Things get very heavy, as Dolan brings up escaping an abusing relationship with her mother. Dolan likens it to the betrayal of Jayne. She goes on to cut a go-home promo, vowing to put a final nail in the coffin of Toxic Attraction.
A pre-taped skit with Chase U leads to The Schism hacking into the classroom for a threatening promo. Before Schism interrupts the Chase U class, Duke Hudson apologizes to Thea Hail for his behavior last week. However, Hudson notes he meant what he said about Chase U. That is when Schism hacks into the monitor, and the class turns into a horror flick. Normally I like the Chase U skits, but this was too silly for me.
In another pre-tape, Dijak threatens to lock up Tony D’Angelo in their jailhouse match next week at Roadblock. Rules of the gimmick match are no disqualification and no countout. First one to “incapacitate their opponent and “lock them inside jail cell” wins the match.
Meiko Satomura defeated Zoey Stark
NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez is ringside at the announce desk for guest commentary. Perez defends her title against Satomura at Roadblock next Tuesday.
Stark and Satomura wrestle through a commercial break, and their heated bout continues after the show returns. Satomura is great as usual, and Stark more than held her own. Really good stuff here.
Gettiing to look strong despite losing, Stark gets several close near falls. She goes for a 450, but Satomura moves. Stark rolls through, but Satomura cuts her off to deliver a Death Valley Driver. Scorpio Rises finisher by Satomura, and she pins Starks for the win.
NXT Champion Bron Breakker volunteers to be the Creeds partner for a trios match at Roadblock. Before Breakker can volunteer, Julius Creed has to ask Damon Kemp to be their partner. He turns them down, and Julius is embarrassed about it. Breakker and Brutus Creed pick on Julius, and they make fun of him over his hurt pride.
Sol Ruca defeated Elektra Lopez
Ruca pins Lopez in a short match that gives Ruca a win, while also setting up a post-match angle with Lopez and Valentina Feroz.
Ruca is shining when Lopez shoves her off the top rope, and Ruca crashes outside the ring. Lopez works over Ruca when they are back in the ring. Comeback by Ruca, and she is cut off by Lopez.
Valentina Feroz is ringside, and the reason why is clear at the finish. Lopez goes to retrieve brass knux she had wanted stashed in a turnbuckle pad. Feroz had the knux instead. Lopez is distracted by the mishap, and Ruca catches Lopez with a springboard cutter. Ruca then scores a pinfall.
Lopez shoves Feroz in anger after the match, and Lopez piefaces her. Feroz then decks Lopez with the brass knux, and Lopez is knocked out.
Wofgang committs assault in a skit at a pup. Gallus is there playing pool, and Coffey gets Wolfgang fired up. So, Wolfgang beats up a guy that bumps into him.
Pretty Deadly in a backstage interview challenge Gallus to a match next week at Roadblock.
This match was set up in a backstage skit earlier in the show.
Heat on Chance, leading to a rally by Chance and a comeback. Isla Dawn and Alba Fyre come down to ringside, which distracts Chance. Stratton capitalizes, and Stratton does a Christopher Daniels’ BME. Stratton then scores a pinfall.
Stratton in a post-match promo, vows to win the women’s title from whoever wins at Roadblock, be it Satomura or Perez.
Briggs & Jensen make up and mend fences … at least for now. Sadly, I fear this is leading to heartbreak for Jensen.
Axiom defeated Hank Walker
Axiom pinned Walker in a match set up earlier in the show.
Despite dropping the fall, the lose still provided some character development with Walker. This also provided Axiom with a good win over a larger opponent. Axiom won via pinfall after using his Golden Ratio finisher.
Shawn Michaels as the special guest on The Grayson Waller Effect is official for Roadblock next Tuesday.
Carmelo Hayes (with Trick Williams) defeated Tyler Bate
Hayes pinned Bate in a great match. Bangers bookend this episode of NXT, as the show opens with a banger of a match, and the episode closes with another banger.
Great sequences and reversals. Bell-to-bell, this was good as anything on the main roster. Just before the final commercial break on the show, Bate leaps over the ropes for a flip dive to the floor.
Hayes does a wicked-looking sprinboard suplex during a split-screen break. Trick Williams tries to interfere at one point, and Bate knocks him off the apron. Standing shooting star by Bate for a two count.
They would go on to trade near falls. Bate with an airplane spin, but Hayes kicks out. Then a slingshot lariat by Bate for two and half. Hayes with a double underhook into a falcon arrow, but Bate kicks out. Suplex into a cutter by Hayes, only for Bate to kick out yet again.
Bate with a super Northern Lights off the top rope, and Bate tries to follow up with his twisting swanton finisher. No water in the pool, thanks in part to more interference by Williams. Hayes then strikes with a codebreaker. Calling his shot, Breakker is “nothing but net” as he leapt high off the top rope to deliver a flying legdrop. Hayes then covers Bate for the deciding pinfall. Great match.
I question pinning Bate clean so soon after his return, but Hayes looks like a superstar. Hayes is clearly being positioned as the challenger for Breakker at Stand & Deliver over WrestleMania weekend. Hayes breaks the fourth wall as he looks into the camera to cut a promo on Breakker as the show goes off the air.
The return of Tyler Bate, plus two tag team matches have been announced for the January 17 episode of WWE NXT.
Bate’s impending return was announced during this week’s episode with a video package. Bate’s last in-ring appearance on NXT came in September where he lost to JD McDonagh in singles competition.
Also set for next week, the returning Gallus duo of Wolfgang and Mark Coffey will take on Josh Briggs and Brooks Jensen in tag team action. Gallus were given a storyline suspension in September after losing a Pub Rules match to Briggs and Jensen, and attacked the duo in a backstage segment on their return on this week’s show.
In another tag bout announced for January 17, Apollo Crews and Axiom will face Carmelo Hayes and Trick Williams.
A hype video for Stevie Turner also aired during this week’s episode, teasing the NXT debut of the former NXT UK talent, though no date for Turner’s debut was set.
Next week’s lineup:
WWE NXT, Tuesday, January 17 —
Tyler Bate returns
Gallus (Wolfgang & Mark Coffey) vs. Josh Briggs & Brooks Jensen
Apollo Crews & Axiom vs. Carmelo Hayes & Trick Williams
The main event of tonight’s NXT is set determine who gets another shot to dethrone Bron Breakker.
Tyler Bate and JD McDonagh meet tonight in an NXT Championship number one contender’s match. Bate and McDonagh are Breakker’s two most recent challengers. Breakker retained the NXT title against McDonagh at Heatwave last month, and then Breakker defeated Bate at Worlds Collide to unify the NXT Championship with the NXT United Kingdom Championship.
Nathan Frazer and Axiom’s best-of-three series resumes tonight. Axiom currently leads the series 1-0.
Also set for tonight are: Wendy Choo vs. Cora Jade, Toxic Attraction (Gigi Dolin & Jacy Jayne) vs. Ivy Nile & Tatum Paxley, Sanga vs. Von Wagner, and the NXT debut of Oro Mensah. Mensah (Oliver Carter) is a former NXT UK Tag Team Champion.
We’ll also see if there’s any follow-up to last week’s tease of a different look, as the last episode ended with the NXT 2.0 logo morphing into something new.
Our coverage begins at 8 p.m. Eastern time.

The graphics for the shows are slightly different. The logo itself is new, but it
The show begins with a recap of last week, ending with Solo Sikoa supposedly winning the NXT North American Championship. However, it is a Dusty finish.
The opening scene is like something out of a telenovela.
Shawn Michaels voiced over the introductory recap. He would also appear in person as an authority figure in a skit that opens the show, where Sikoa and Carmelo Hayes report to Michael’s office.
Solo Sikoa vacates NXT North American Championship
Sikoa has the North American strap held over his shoulder, as he and Hayes begin to bicker back and forth. Michaels quickly cuts them off.
Michaels tells Sikoa that last week he competed in a match he was not sanctioned to be in, and Michaels points out Sikoa was not even a choice in the fan voting.
Michaels says the result where Sikoa won the North American title cannot stand, and Sikoa must forfeit. Michaels empathizes with Sikoa, saying he was been there and it sucks, but “rules are rules.”
Sikoa says he gets it, and he hands the belt to Michaels. He goes on to wish Sikoa luck wherever his career takes him on the main roster.
Before leaving, Sikoa turns to Hayes and says, “Told you I had next.”
Hayes smirks, and he replies, “Yeah, you had next.”
Hayes thanks Michaels for making the right decision, assuming he is the rightful champion.
Michaels says he tried to work the system, and he chides Hayes.
“Anytime you think you’re bigger than the business, the business is going to slap you in the face,” Shawn says to Hayes.
Michaels announces Hayes he will have to chance to qualify for a title match in six weeks at Halloween Havoc. Michaels hints at qualifying matches, but did not get into specifics. He says Hayes could join four others in getting the chance to compete in a ladder match for the North American Championship at Halloween Havoc.
Nathan Frazier defeats Axiom in the second match of a best-of-three series
Frazier pins Axiom to tie their series with one win apiece. Breathtaking finishing sequence as Frazier executes a superplex, and he hangs on to roll through and deliver a twisting suplex. Frazier then backflips off the top rope into a Phoenix splash.
Really good match, and their chemistry seems better in this second match of their series. They decide the winner of the series when they meet in a third match.
The Toxic Attraction trio is heading to the ring. Jacy Jayne and Gigi Dolan have a match tonight, and they are joined by NXT Women’s Champion Mandy Rose.
Why Kemp Why
A pre-tap segment with Damon Kemp has him doing a sit-down interview. He explains his treachery. Kemp admits he framed Roderick Strong for being “on the take” with Tony D’Angelo. It was a swerve, as Kemp reveals he was the one accepting money from D’Angelo.
Strong found out, so Kemp attacked Strong to silence him. Kemp goes on to say he will only face the Creed Brothers in a one-on-one match, with the other brother basically being barred from ringside.
Ivy Nile is in the locker room, and she is angry about the revelations by Kemp. Tatum Paxley sympathizes with her, but Paxley tells her to focus. Nile fires back that she is focused.
Toxic Attraction (Jacy Jayne & Gigi Dolan with Mandy Rose) defeat Ivy Nile & Tatum Paxley
Jayne pins Nile to win the match, after Jayne & Dolan deliver tandem kicks.
Nile drops the fall, as the story of the match is her being preoccupied by Kemp’s admitting why he turned on Diamond Mine.
Vic Joseph on commentary notes that Jayne & Dolan have once again put the women’s tag division “on notice” with their win tonight.
The Schism speaks
The trio known as Schism is in the ring. First, the duo of The Dyad addresses the audience. There is a lot of jibber jabber about joining their little cult.
Joe Gacy addresses Cameron Grimes, and Gacy cuts a promo on Grimes for not joining Schism. Gacy warns Grimes the “wrath of Schism is imminent.”
Edris Enofe & Malik Blade run in, and they brawl with The Dyad. This leads into a tag team match.
The Dyad (Jagger Reid and Rip Fowler) defeats Edris Enofe & Malik Blade
Reid pins Enofe to win the match.
The match goes through a commercial break, and there is heat on Blade as they show returns from the break. Builds to a hot tag, and Enofe runs wild on The Dyad duo.
Enofe & Blade get a near fall after a double team move, which is like a Hart Attack where Balde execute a guillotine legdrop. The Dyad soon cuts them off.
A low bridge sends Blade tumbling over the ropes, and Enofe is double teamed by The Dyad. Reid jumps off the back Fowler into a Canadian Destroyer on Enofe.
They Dyad then deliver their tandem codebreaker finisher, and Reid pins Enofe to win the match.
Clips highlight the in-ring NXT debut of Quiny Elliott.
Raquel Gonzalez is featured in a clip for Hispanic Heritage Month.
A vignette with Roxanne Perez focuses on her match last week with Meiko Satomura. Aside from the great match, Cora Jade jumped Perez after the match in a sneak attack. Jade is then seen heading to the ring, with her kendo stick in hand, for a match that is coming up next.
Cora Jade defeats Wendy Choo
Jade pins Choo after an evenflow DDT.
Choo is now a far more serious character, and she fights hard despite taking a loss. Choo is attacked after the match by Lash Legend.
In the closing moments, Choo gives Jade a German suplex. Choo misses on a charge in corner, as she is tripped up. Jade then delivers a Jake Roberts DDT, and Jade covers Choo for a three count.
Lash Legend runs in after the match, and she levels Choo with a pump kick.
McKenzie Mitchell interviews NXT Champion Bron Breakker. He first thanks the fans for voting him the top superstar in NXT.
Breakker then discusses the number one contender’s match set for tonight. Breakker weighs in by putting over both, but Mitchell presses him to make a prediction for the main event tonight. Put on the spot, Breakker picks Tyler Bate to win the number one contender’s match.
Trick Williams is giving Carmelo Hayes a pep talk, as Hayes stands next to a ladder. Hayes and Williams then head towards gorilla. From there, they are heading to the ring.
Kelly Kincaid interviews Oro Mensah ahead of his in-ring debut tonight on NXT. Mensah’s match is now a qualifying match for the championship ladder match at Halloween Havoc. Mensah vows to qualify for the North American title match.
Chase U confronts Carmelo Hayes & Trick Williams
Hayes is mad about losing the title. He demands the firing of the referee, the time keeper, and the music director that took part in the match he lost. Hayes declares he is still the rightful champion.
The theme song of Chase U interrupts the venting session. Andre Chase enters the soundstage alongside Thea Hail and Bodhi Hayward.
Chase teases delivering his catchphrase. Much to the chagrin of Williams, Chase drops the line, calling Hayes’ lost last week a “teachable moment.” With that, a brawl erupts. This leads to a tag team match.
Andre Chase & Bodhi Hayward (with Thea Hail) defeats Carmelo Hayes & Trick Williams
Chase pins Hayes to win, in what Vic Joseph on commentary screams is a “TEACHABLE MOMENT!”
Chase remains over huge with the live studio audience, he finally gets a much deserved win here. Jubilation from the Chase U cheering section seating with the studio audience.
Chase looked in peril, as he feeds into Hayes. Chase counters Hayes when Hayes goes for a springboard, and Chase uses his legs to tie Hayes into a cradle for a three count.
Gallus is playing cribbage when they are confronted by Briggs, Jensen, and Fallon Henley. Geek security team separates the two factions as they yell at each other.
Von Wagner (with Mr. Stone) defeats Sanga
Wagner pins Sanga in an anti-climatic finish. Mr. Stone interferes to turn the tide in Wagner’s favor.
Gorilla Monsoon would likely dub this an unstoppable force meeting the immovable object, and it was indeed a hoss fight.
They clubbed each other a bunch, as they traded blows.
Wagner is booted off the apron, and Sanga clotheslines him on the floor. Mr. Stone interferes, as he jumps into hands of Sanga. Stone is lifted for a chokeslam, but Wagner saves Stone. Wagner rams Sanga into the ring steps.
Wagner struggles to lift Sanga, before picking Sanga up in a fireman’s carry. Wagner then slams Sanga to the mat, and Wagner covers Sanga for a pinfall.
Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo in a promo reveals he is facing Wes Lee next week in a qualifying match.
Cameron Grimes cuts a heated promo on Joe Gacy.
Oro Mensah defeats Grayson Waller in a North American Championship qualifying match
Mensah pins Waller after a distraction by Apollo Crews. In winning, Mensah qualifies for the ladder match at Halloween Havoc.
Mensah has some flashy moves and a good vibe, but this did little to explain or establish his character. At least he wins, albeit with help from a distraction.
Waller got a lot of offense, and he was seemingly in control when Apollo Crews appears at ringside to confront Waller. Crews has kayfabe blood dripping from the eye that Waller targeted in a previous match between the two.
Waller is distracted by Crews, allowing Mensah to leap through the ropes with a dive. Spinning heel kick by Mensah, and then he covers Waller for a pinfall.
The Creed Brother are training in their dojo. They are arguing over which one gets to face Damon Kemp in a singles match. They eventually agree that Brutus Creed will meet Kemp in a singles match next week.
Next week on NXT:
In-ring NXT debut of Sol Ruca
Cameron Grimes vs. Joe Gacy
Josh Briggs & Brooks Jensen against Gallus in a “Pub Rules Match”
Damon Kemp faces Brutus Creed in a singles match
Wes Lee against Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo in a ladder match qualifier
Nikkita Lyons vs. Kayden Carter
NXT Women’s Champion Mandy Rose faces Fallon Henley in a non-title match
JD McDonagh defeats Tyler Bate in a number one contender’s match
McDonagh pins Tyler to become the number one contender. Fantastic match. NXT Champion Bron Breakker confronts McDonagh after the match, they are joined by Ilja Dragunov making a surprise appearance to end the show.
Breakker is at ringside as a guest commentator during the match.
Grappling at the outset, and they build to a double down. That leads into the final commercial break on the show.
They wrestle through the split-screen commercial break. Bate is trapped in a Boston crab, but McDonagh is eventually forced to break the hold. McDonagh takes a Harley Race bump over the ropes to the floor, and Bate follows up with a dive in front of Breakker at the announce desk.
Bate with a standing shooting star for a near fall. Bate gets another near fall after giving McDonagh an airplane spin. McDonagh soon cuts off Bate, and Bate is sent outside the ring after a low bridge. McDonagh follows up with a beautiful Asai moonsault. 450 splash by McDonagh for a near fall. Another two count for McDonagh, after he drops Bate into a brainbuster.
They trade strikes as a slugfest develops, and McDonagh is on rubber legs. He recovers to counter a Tyler Driver. Bate with some counters of his own, and Bate springs off the ropes into a running Spanish Fly from McDonagh. Clever spot as McDonagh seems to have gotten the advantage, until Bate decks him, and McDonagh crumples to the mat.
“Fight forever” chants from the studio audience.
They tease an avalanche Tyler Driver, but Bate is countered by a headbutt from McDonagh. Spanish Fly off the top, and McDonagh then delivers The Devil Inside. McDonagh covers Bate for a three count, and McDonagh wins to become the number one contender for the NXT Championship.
Breakker gets into the ring for a standoff with McDonagh. Suddenly, Ilja Dragunov returns in a surprise appearance. Dragunov gets in the ring and he confronts Breakker and McDonagh. The show closes with a triple staredown, as the plot thickens.
The fallout from Worlds Collide took place on last night’s NXT.
After facing off in the main event of Worlds Collide, NXT Champion Bron Breakker and Tyler Bate were partners last night. Breakker saving Bate from an attack by Gallus led to Breakker & Bate teaming up against Joe & Mark Coffey in the main event. Breakker took out Joe Coffey with a spear at the end of the match, then Bate pinned Mark Coffey after hitting the Tyler Driver ’97.
As Breakker and Bate celebrated, JD McDonagh ambushed them and laid out Bate. McDonagh retreated through the crowd before Breakker could retaliate.
McDonagh had defeated Wes Lee earlier in the night. The show also saw Meiko Satomura, Ricochet, and Doudrop & Nikki A.S.H. pick up wins to rebound from their losses at Worlds Collide.
A solid episode of NXT 2.0 took place this week that featured an awesome match between Roxanne Perez and Meiko Satomura, Toxic Attraction in action, JD McDonagh attacking Tyler Bate, Bate and Breakker teaming, and much more!

Bron Breakker has unified the NXT and NXT UK Championships.
Breakker defeated Tyler Bate in the main event of NXT Worlds Collide on Sunday. The victory was his seventh title defense in his second reign with the NXT title and his first time winning the NXT UK belt.
Bate’s second reign with the NXT UK title began after he defeated his former tag team partner, Trent Seven, in the finals of a tournament held on July 7, 2022.
Bate was also the inaugural holder of the NXT UK belt. He defeated Pete Dunne in the finals of the WWE United Kingdom Championship tournament in 2017 and held the title for 125 days before dropping it to Pete Dunne at NXT TakeOver: Chicago on May 20, 2017.
Breakker becomes the fifth and possibly final wrestler to win the NXT UK title. He joins Bate, Dunne, WALTER/Gunther, and Ilja Dragunov as the only champions in the belt’s lineage.
Five title matches — including three unification bouts — are set for today’s NXT Worlds Collide special.
Ahead of NXT Europe launching next year, NXT UK will close out its run with today’s unification matches. In the main event of the show, NXT Champion Bron Breakker will face off with NXT United Kingdom Champion Tyler Bate to unify the titles.
The NXT Women’s Championship and NXT UK Women’s Championship will be unified in a triple threat match between Mandy Rose, Meiko Satomura, and Blair Davenport. And the NXT Tag Team titles and NXT UK Tag Team titles will be unified in The Creed Brothers vs. Josh Briggs & Brooks Jensen vs. Gallus vs. Pretty Deadly.
Plus, main roster wrestlers are also in action. Ricochet is challenging for Carmelo Hayes’ NXT North American Championship. Doudrop & Nikki A.S.H. are challenging Katana Chance & Kayden Carter for the NXT Women’s Tag Team titles.
Today’s main card begins at 4 p.m. Eastern time. There will also be a pre-show starting at 3:30 p.m. Eastern.
**********
McKenzie Mitchell and Sam Roberts are the hosts for the pre-show, which is mostly hype and ballyhoo.
Besides video packages and such, the pre-show has a few promos. That includes a promo from the Toxic Attraction trio. Others on the card, like NXT Champion Bron Breakker, are seen arriving to the building. No matches air on the pre-show.
The voice of NXT UK, Andy Shepard, appears on the pre-show via a virtual link. Shepard helps break down the unification matches from his perspective as the lead announcer of the NXT UK brand.
The soundstage in Orlando looks like it does for most every NXT telecast, with the exception of a different graphics on the LED screens. The live studio audience is hot at the start.
The main card is opening with one of the few titles that is not a unification bout.
NXT North American Champion Carmelo Hayes (with Trick Williams) defeats Ricochet to retain his title
Hayes pins Ricochet in what is an exciting opener. Great bout to kick off the show. Hayes in the closing moments counters Ricochet, and he cradles Ricochet with a small package to score a three count.
Ricochet shines in the first part of the match, looking like a superstar. Hayes fights back and he gain control of the match. Superkick by Hayes leads to a close near fall. Another great near fall, after Hayes springboards into a lariat to cut off a handspring high spot from Ricochet.
They trade lariats with neither going down. They then collide in mid-air when both go for a springboard clothesline, leading to a double down. They get back on their feet, and they trade strikes.
Parade of high spots as they keep trading moves. Ricochet goes for a cover, but Trick Williams puts Hayes’ foot on the bottom rope to break the count. Ricochet, in turn, sails through the ropes to hit Williams with a missile dropkick.
Ricochet is distracted with Williams, allowing Hayes to catch Ricochet in a cutter for another two count. Moments later, Ricochet pops up to the feet and counters Hayes, setting up a superplex.
Fighting spirit exchange as they again trade strikes and big moves. They keep trading near falls, as the studio audience chants for them to “fight forever.”
Ricochet spikes Hayes with a poison rana, and Ricochet looks to measure Hayes for a finisher. Williams interferes, but he is thwarted by Ricochet.
Ricochet goes for a shooting star press, and he lands on his feet when Hayes rolls out of the way. Hayes catches Ricochet in a small package, and Hayes cradles Ricochet for the deciding pinfall.
Pretty Deadly (Elton Prince & Kit Wilson) become the unified NXT Tag Team Champions after winning a fatal four way elimination match, defeating defending NXT Tag Team Champions The Creed Brothers (Julius & Brutus Creed with Damon Kemp), NXT United Kingdom Tag Team Champions Josh Briggs & Brooks Jensen (with Fallon Henley) and Gallus (Mark Coffey & Wolfgang with Joe Coffey)
Pretty Deadly win the four-way elimination match after Damon Kemp turns on the Creeds, costing the Creeds the titles. Briggs & Jensen are eliminated first, followed by Gallus. Pretty Deadly then goes on to defeat the Creeds, thanks to Kemp turning on his stablemates.
The NXT UK Tag Team Champions are the first eliminated when Mark Coffey pins Brooks Jensen. Jensen trips going for a spot off the top rope, and he crashes into the ring. Not missing a beat despite the botch, Gallus executes tandem offense, leading to Coffey pinning Jensen.
Second elimination is Gallus, after Julius Creed pins Wolfgang. The Creeds reemerge as a house of fire, after spending several minutes down selling. Creeds deliver a cannonball Doomsday Device. Julius hits Wolfgang with a sliding lariat, and he covers him for a pinfall.
Two team remain as the Creeds face off against Pretty Deadly. The heels work over Brutus Creed. He is finally able to tag out, and Julius runs off after a hot tag.
Briggs & Jensen brawl with Gallus, as the eliminated teams filter back on stage for a melee. Meanwhile, Julius is the ring deadlifting Prince into a delayed vertical suplex. Near fall for Julius as the brawling at ringside continues.
Julius pulls the strap down on his singlet, signaling for a finisher. Wilson tries storming the ring with a metal folding chair, but Damon Kemp makes a save by spearing Wilson. The turn can be seen from a mile away.
Kemp picks up the chair, while Julius has his back to him. Kemp hits Creed with the chair. Kemp then gives Julius a uranage into a backbreaker, and Julius is a laid out.
Prince crawls over to steal a pin as he covers Julius for a three count. Pretty Deadly become the unified champs, thanks to a treachery from Damon Kemp.
Tony D’Angelo and Stacks are talking when they see Cameron Grimes passing by them. D’Angelo stops Grimes, and he basically asks Grimes to discuss him joining the family. Grimes declines to chat.
NXT Women’s Champion Mandy Rose defeats Blair Davenport and United Kingdom Women’s Champion Meiko Satomura in a triple threat unification match
Rose pins Davenport to become the unified women’s champion of the brand.
Unile the previous unification match on the card, this bout was one fall to a finish. So a champion could lose her title without dropping a fall, which happens to Satomura.
Rose gets a special entrance, arriving in a fancy sports car. Rose also appears to have a new version of the NXT Women’s Championship belt, with an updated color scheme on the main plate. Same for Breakker.
Satomura gets a Goldberg entrance of sorts, as cameras follow her to the ring. She deserves the world, because she has been so great in the ring for so long.
Satomura remains as smooth as ever. Her experience stands out above her two opponents, even if they also did well in the match.
Good near fall at one point after Rose gives Davenport a superplex, and Satomura capitalizes with a splash off the top rope.
The live studio audience eventually gets super invested in the match, even if they were quieter at the start than they are for previous bouts. They are won over by the end, despite a heel win. Overall a good crowd all night.
In the closing moments, Davenport rolls ups Rose with a schoolgirl. Satomura rushes in to break up the pinning attempt, and Satomura strikes with her Scorpion Rising kick on Davenport. Satomura is lifting Davenport to her feet when Rose sandwiches them with Kiss By the Rose (running knee strike). Rose then covers Davenport for a three count.
Rose has become the unified women’s champion of the NXT brand.
NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions Kayden Carter & Katana Chance defeat Doudrop & Nikki A.S.H. to retain their titles
Chance pins Doudrop to win the match, after a distraction by Toxic Attraction.
Toxic Attraction (Jacy Jayne & Gigi Dolan) run in just before the finish. Nikki jumps off the apron on to Toxic Attraction, and Nikki brawls with them at ringside. That leaves Doudrop alone against both Carter & Chance. The champ execute their tandem finisher, and Chance pins Doudrop to retain to the titles.
Not necessarily a bad match, but still the weakest on the show so far. In their defense, they were put in a death spot. Likewise, a lame distraction finish did not help matters. The two teams tried with what they had, but this is filler.
NXT Champion Bron Breakker defeats NXT United Kingdom Champion Tyler Bate in a unification match
Breakker pins Bate to become the unified men’s champion of the NXT brand.
Special entrances and ring introductions for both, which helps give the match a true main event feel. Breakker seems like a sure winner going into the match, but Bate is so such a good pro wrestler he gets the audience to buy into him as a threat.
Breakker is protected, at times at the expense of match itself (which is mainly in the first half of the bout). However, Bate gets to shine at times as well. He excels when given the chance within the story of the bout. Hopefully, there are good plans for him after this match.
Bate gets some near falls as he gains control of the match in the second half. The crowd starts a NXT chant, and the match was good, but it seems as if everyone was waiting for the inevitable. Then they start to cook, and the crowd starts to really invest.
Breakker gets a near fall after using a flying bulldog, which honors his father Rick Steiner. Bate keeps kicking out after a few more near falls, and they fight on.
The match heats up in the closing minutes. The studio audience begins dueling chants. Counters, reversals, and power moves galore. The power moves are not only from Breakker, as Bate rallies with some power moves of his own.
Deadlift by Bate into a Tyler Driver ’97 for another near fall, in what was arguably the best spot of the match. The crowd buys it as a false finish.
Breakker executes one of his finishers, dropping Bate from a military press into a powerslam. Bate drapes a leg on the bottom rope to break a count.
Down come the straps on the singlet, as Breakker means business. He measures Bate, but Bate seemingly has plenty more fight left in him. Bate counters, and he peppers Breakker with strikes.
Another attempt at the Tyler Driver is blocked, but Bate uses a victory roll for another one last near fall. Breakker kicks out.
Bate slingshots himself off the ropes, and Breakker is there to meet him with a Steinerline. Breakker then covers Bate for a three count.
Breakker has become the unified champ. Bate shakes hand with Breakker in a show of sportsmanship. A victorious Breakker then holds up both titles belts as the show closes.
What, no singalong? Where’s “American Pie”?
The last stop on the journey of NXT UK appears to be a soundstage in Orlando. Let us see what tomorrow brings. Here’s to NXT Europe rising like a phoenix.
NXT United Kingdom Championship tournament semifinals: Trent Seven defeated Oliver Carter (9:15)
Seven mocked Carter’s knee injury early on and went to attack the knee, but Carter quickly threw him out of the ring and followed up with a dive. Carter held his knee on impact.
Back in the ring, Seven hit a dragon screw through the ropes on Carter as he was still on the apron on the outside. Seven went on to work over the knee, leading to Carter screaming in pain. Seven hit a kneebreaker and held onto the leg, but Carter managed to turn another attempt into a sunset flip for a near fall.
Carter eventually hit a springboard moonsault for another near fall. Seven came back with an Emerald Frosion for a near fall of his own before Carter countered a Seven Star Lariat attempt into a forearm smash and followed with a missile dropkick from the top.
Carter followed up with an axe kick and scored another close two count. He went for a corner attack but collapsed during the spring. Carter still caught Seven in a small package and almost had the match won. Seven then locked in a Figure Four leglock, which Carter valiantly fought to escape from but eventually succumbed to the pain and tapped out.
NXT United Kingdom Championship tournament semifinals: Tyler Bate defeated Joe Coffey (12:00)
They traded holds and counters early with neither man being able to gain the advantage. After trading shoulder blocks, Bate took down Coffey with a dropkick. Coffey hit the Glasgow Sendoff in the corner and got a near fall off the move.
Shortly after, Coffey locked in a bear hug. Bate fought out but actually found himself on the receiving end of a giant swing. They traded punches and Bate hit a right hook just as Coffey hit a combination of body shots. Bate followed with a spinning European uppercut and running Shooting Star Press for another near fall.
Coffey hit an overhead belly-to-belly suplex for a near fall, then caught Bate as he came off the ropes and hit a nasty German suplex before locking in a Boston Crab.
Bate crawled toward the ropes, but Coffey pulled him back to the center of the ring. Bate finally managed to escape by spinning out of the move and landing some up-kicks. Bate evaded the Glasgow Sendoff but still got caught with the double-jump reverse crossbody. He rolled through though and scored another two count. They traded lariats and Coffey actually hit All the Best for the Bells as Bate was bouncing off the ropes with his slingshot lariat.
Both men were down, so Coffey failed to go for a cover. Bate then hit a rolling koppu kick and went for the Tyler Driver ’97, which Coffey countered with a back body drop. Bate landed on his feet, hit a forearm, and caught Coffey in a backslide for the victory.
Bate will face his former Moustache Mountain partner Seven in the finals for the vacant NXT UK Championship.
Seven came out after the match and teased getting into the ring but then chickened out. He shouted at Bate from ringside as — in a throwback to the days of World of Sport — a granny in the front row berated Seven.
– A video recapped the wild women’s division brawl from three weeks ago. Sid Scala announced a four-way elimination match between Blair Davenport, Isla Dawn, Amale, and Eliza Alexander for next week. The winner will be the new number one contender to the NXT UK Women’s Championship.
– A video looked at last week’s announcement that NXT UK will go on hiatus and be expanded to NXT Europe in 2023. They had lots of social media and news clippings covering that announcement and Nigel McGuinness said he was excited for it.
NXT UK Heritage Cup Championship match: Noam Dar defeated Mark Coffey to win the title (17:29)
Round One
Dar went for a roll-up 30 seconds in and scored a two count. They mostly fought for position for the rest of the round, with Coffey hitting an uppercut and locking in an armbar as the round ended.
Round Two
Dar went for an armbar right away, but Coffey made it to his feet and locked in one of his own. Coffey worked Dar’s arm over some more. Coffey got a two count off of a roll-up, then missed an elbow from the ropes. Dar hit a diving forearm and scored a near fall of his own.
Round Three
Coffey started out strong with a clothesline, a forearm, and a back body drop. Dar came back with a leg kick and spinning back elbow for another near fall. Coffey hit a sliding forearm to the side of the jaw and pinned Dar to take the lead. Dar looked to be knocked out. Coffey 1-0
Round Four
Dar struggled to his feet but still was wobbly. Coffey went for a full nelson, but Dar backed him into the ropes to break the hold. Dar still looked out on his feet but hit a few desperation forearms. Coffey went to the second turnbuckle for an attack, but Dar stumbled between the ropes and fell to ringside. The referee checked on Dar and told Coffey to back off.
Dar repeatedly collapsed whenever Coffey was going for another attack, prompting the referee to stop Coffey. Dar then suddenly went for a flash pin and got a near fall. Dar then locked in the kneebar and Coffey tapped. Dar 1-1
Round Five
Coffey went to the ropes again but thought better of it and hit a bulldog instead. Coffey went for the Gator lock, but Dar rolled out of it and transitioned into an armbar, which Coffey turned into a roll-up.
They briefly battled on the top rope, but Dar slid out from under Coffey and kicked his leg out. Dar locked in the kneebar once more with 20 seconds left in the round. Coffey fought to escape and finally did just as the round ended.
Round Six
They traded holds early and Coffey powered out of a guillotine attempt. Coffey hit a baseball slide that sent Dar out of the ring and Coffey quickly rolled him back inside. Suddenly, Sha Samuels hopped the barricades behind Coffey and rammed Coffey’s head into the ring post. As Coffey stumbled back into the ring, Dar hit the Nova Roller to win the round, the match, and the NXT UK Heritage Cup. Dar wins 2-1
Dar and Samuels hugged after the match and celebrated in the ring with the Heritage Cup. Thus concludes the penultimate episode of NXT UK.
Final Thoughts —
Wrestling wise, this was a tremendous show with three good-to-great matches. It’s painfully clear though that these episodes merely exist to finalize the ongoing stories and air matches that had already been taped. Besides the announcement of the women’s four-way next week, there were no angles, backstage segments, interviews, or anything else to build for the future, of which we know doesn’t exist for the brand.
If you saw NXT 2.0 this Tuesday, you also know who wins the four-way next week. And, of course, we also know the result of the tournament final. Both matches nonetheless will probably be very good.
Next Week —
NXT United Kingdom Championship tournament finals: Tyler Bate vs. Trent Seven
NXT UK Women’s Championship number one contender’s four-way elimination match: Blair Davenport vs. Isla Dawn vs. Amale vs. Eliza Alexander
