Nic Nemeth issues challenge for TNA Rebellion, invites NFL legend to show

Nic Nemeth has issued a challenge for TNA Rebellion.

TNA posted a digital exclusive filmed at Sacrifice on Friday that showed Ryan Nemeth discovering his brother unconscious backstage after an apparent attack. On Thursday, Nemeth posted a video issuing a challenge to whoever attacked him for a match at Rebellion.

Nemeth said in the video:

“To whom it may concern, I don’t know who you are and I don’t care, but after 20-plus years in this business, I should know better. This one’s on me. I should have had eyes in the back of my head, but I didn’t. I got blindsided. I got attacked.

And if you’ve got the stomach for it, whoever you are, if you’ve got the guts to face me eye-to-eye, now that you got the cheap shot in, you made your mark, it got my attention, are you willing to go one step further? Face me eye-to-eye in that ring?”

Rebellion will take place in Nemeth’s hometown of Cleveland, Ohio, and he has invited Cleveland Browns legend Bernie Kosar to be in his corner.

Nemeth continued:

“There’s nobody that embodies the spirit of the city of Cleveland more than Cleveland and Cleveland Brown legend Bernie Kosar.

Bernie, you’re a hero to so many of us. You’re a hero to the city of Cleveland. And I think you’re the exact right person to be in my corner, to have my back, as you’ve had Cleveland’s for all these years.”

TNA Rebellion takes place Saturday, April 11, 2026 at the Wolstein Center in Cleveland. The updated lineup is below.

Mike Santana issues statement on Steve Maclin injury at TNA Sacrifice

Mike Santana has issued a statement regarding the injury suffered by Steve Maclin at TNA Sacrifice.

The main event of Friday’s pay-per-view in New Orleans was stopped early after Maclin took a superkick from Santana and appeared to be injured.

Maclin was later reported to be walking around backstage, though it was believed he may have suffered a concussion.

On Saturday morning, TNA President Carlos Silva told Jon Alba of SI.com that Maclin was taken to the hospital and passed all medical evaluations. It was determined that he did not suffer a concussion, and he was released and allowed to return to his hotel.

Maclin had been scheduled to wrestle on the Maple Leaf Pro Uprising show on Saturday night in Windsor, Ontario, but did not appear.

Santana released the following statement on Sunday:

“Needed some time to myself before speaking on this…

Every time I’m getting ready to head out for a match, I always find a corner and take a moment to myself.

I kneel and pray to God to protect me and my opponent. To watch over us as we head out to give the fans an escape and something worth what they pay their hard earned money for.

But as we all know, freak accidents happen that are sometimes out of our control and in the moment. That’s the unfortunate reality of what we do. All we can do is learn from it and take preventative measures moving forward, so that we can avoid making the same mistakes.

I will say, I’m truly proud of how TNA handled the situation. And even more proud of referee Alice Lane. Her elite professionalism and quick thinking saved us. We were truly blessed to have had her out there with us.

I’m glad that Steve is safe and doing well. He’s one of the toughest guys I know and someone I’ve considered a close friend for a long time. At the end of the day, our health and well-being come first and we showed exactly that.

Thank you everyone.”

Steve Maclin injury update following TNA Sacrifice

There is a positive update on Steve Maclin following an injury scare at TNA Sacrifice.

The main event of Friday’s show was stopped early after Maclin was hurt taking a superkick from Mike Santana. Later that night, Bryan Alvarez reported that Maclin was up and walking backstage, though there was concern he may have suffered a concussion.

In an update on Saturday morning, Jon Alba of The Takedown on SI.com reported that TNA President Carlos Silva confirmed Maclin was sent to the hospital after the show, where he passed all medical evaluations, was not diagnosed with a concussion, and was later cleared to return to his hotel.

“TNA president Carlos Silva told The Takedown that Maclin was not ultimately diagnosed with a concussion, as he cleared all of his tests and was released to go back to his hotel for the night,” wrote Jon Alba.

Maclin is scheduled to wrestle in Windsor, Ontario, Canada, on Saturday night as part of the MLP Uprising pay-per-view. It is unclear if he will still perform on the show.

Live! From New Orleans, LA!

Pre Show.

BDE v. Ryan Nemeth

BDE hit a dive through the ropes while holding his phone so his 1.5 million followers could watch on one of his social media channels. Nemeth took control and hit a neckbreaker. Nemeth wore BDE down with a chinlock. BDE got a near fall with a sunset flip, but Nemeth popped back up and floored him with a clothesline. Nemeth hit a high angle DDT for a near fall.

BDE escaped a hangman’s neckbreaker and caught Nemeth with a springboard cutter. BDE came off the top with a frog splash, but Nemeth got his knees up, then rolled up BDE and hooked his tights.

Match Result: Nemeth pinned BDE (6:34).

— Trey Miguel and Mustafa Ali will face off for the TNA International Title at Rebellion.

The System Meet with The Rebellion

The members of The System met with the members of Order 4 to strike an accord. Rebellion will be the night that The System gets all the gold, with Edwards implying he’ll be cashing in his title shot at whoever the world champion is at Rebellion. Agent Zero will take out Moose for The System, and in return Eddie Edwards will give Ali the first title shot once he wins the TNA title for the third time.

But they still don’t trust each other.

Tessa Blanchard (w/ Mila Moore & Victoria Crawford) v. Jody Threat (w/ Myla Grace & Harley Hudson)

Threat was dominant early. Blanchard escaped a suplex attempt and clipped Threat’s knee, then went to work on the leg. Blanchard tied up Threat’s legs in a way I’ve never seen before, kind of like a standing figure-four. Threat escaped and Blanchard charged into a boot. Threat came back with a series of clotheslines and a pump kick. Threat squashed Blanchard against the middle rope, then dumped her with a release German suplex.

Threat evaded Blanchard and went to the middle ropes, but Blanchard snapped off a fierce dropkick. Blanchard pulled her out of the corner with a lungblower for a near fall. Threat tried to fight back, but Blanchard went back to the knee to slow her down.

Threat dropped Blanchard with a delayed vertical suplex. Threat yanked Blanchard up off the mat and dead-lifted her into a running powerbomb. Moore put Blanchard’s hand on the ropes to break up the count, which caused Grace and Hudson to get into it with Crawford on the floor. This distracted the referee, and in the chaos Moore slipped in the ring and hit Threat with her shoe. Blanchard finished off Threat with a hammerlock DDT.

Match Result: Blanchard pinned Threat (6:11).

After the match, all six women brawled, and Blanchard hog-tied Threat with some power cables and dragged her around the ring. All things considered, this was a great six minute match.

— A recap of how Steve Maclin went from fired to number 1 contender for the TNA World Title. After the video package aired to hype the world title match, Nic Nemeth called his shot for Rebellion. It’s Nic Nemeth v. whoever is the World Champion at Rebellion.

Main Show.

Leon Slater v. Eric Young for the X Division Championship

Young jumped “Slater” as he made his entrance, but it wasn’t Slater, but some poor schmuck Slater set up to get jumped. Slater came through the crowd and hit Young with a dive. They brawled around the ring with Slater gaining control.

They finally got in the ring to start the match, and Slater hit a 450 Swanton Bomb for a near fall just 30 seconds in. Slater was dominant in the early going, getting several near falls. Slater got a near fall off a handspring elbow. Slater knocked Young to the floor.

Young whipped Slater into the steps, then set him up for a piledriver. But Slater escaped by kicking Young in the face. Back in the ring, Slater went for a Styles Clash, but Young countered by biting Slater. Young hit his own Styles Clash for a near fall.

Young countered a move from Slater off the middle ropes with an avalanche wheelbarrow slam. Young slowed the pace of the match down on offense, hitting a move, then taunting the crowd. Slater fought back with forearms, but Young cut him off with a back elbow. Young delivered a hangman’s neckbreaker and got another near fall. Young raked Slater’s eyes, then hit a discus lariat.

Slater countered a piledriver attempt with a roll up, then started to speed up the pace of the match. Slater got a near fall after a spinning suplex. Young caught Slater out of the corner with a Death Valley Driver for two. Young dropped an elbow off the top rope for two.

Slater blocked a boot from Young. They exchanged “boo!/yay” punches, which ended with Slater giving Young a monster Blue Thunder Bomb. They fought out onto the apron, and Slater bit Young, then superkicked him back into the ring. They found out to the other side of the apron, where Young gave Slater a piledriver. Young dragged Slater back into the ring, but only got two.

Young tried for a piledriver off the top, but Slater escaped, then caught Young with a Styles Clash. Slater then hit another Swanton 450 to get the victory.

Match Result: Slater pinned Young with a Swanton 450 to retain (15:18).

This was the least excited I’ve been for a Leon Slater match and he still delivered a banger.

— The One Man Gang was shown in the crowd.

Gia Miller interviewed Mike Santana, who called Steve Maclin “a manipulator and a real b!tch.” Santana got Maclin his job back, but as payment he’s going to rip out Maclin’s heart and feed it to him.

AJ Francis & Frankie Kazarian v. The Home Town Man & Elijah

The Home Town Man came out to Marti Gras music  and masked Home Town Man fans throwing beads to the crowd. Elijah and Kazarian started out, while Home Town Man led the crowd in a “Who Dat?” chant.

Home Town Man and Elijah did a double rope-walk spot. The heels went to the floor to regroup, and Elijah used Homer as a springboard to hit them with a dive over the ropes.

Francis tripped up Homer as he ran the ropes, and Kazarian landed a springboard legdrop, allowing the heels to take control. Homer tried to fight out of the heel corner, but Francis squashed him with an avalanche in the corner. Francis charged into The Home Town Man with a knee, and Kazarian covered him for two.

Francis went for a chokeslam, but he held up Homer too long, and he escaped with a DDT. Elijah got the tag and went wild on Kazarian, leveling him with a boot. Elijah unloaded on Kazarian in the corner with chops and forearms, then hit a Twist & Shout for a near fall.

Elijah set himself up for a guillotine legdrop from Kazarian. Kazarian tried for the chickenwing, but Elijah escaped. Francis charged at Elijah, who got him up on his shoulders in the electric chair position, then turned that into a sit-out powerbomb for two. Elijah walked the ropes again to set up a Destroyer on Francis, but Francis countered into an Alabama Slam. Francis then cut Elijah in half with a spear, but that only got two.

Francis grabbed Elijah’s guitar, but Elijah ducked. The Home Town Man hit Franics with a crossbody off the top. Elijah got the guitar, but Kazarian took it away from Elijah, then smashed it against the ring steps. Elijah went after Francis and got thrown into the stairs. The Home Town Man went for a dive out of the ring, but Francis caught him and chokeslammed him on the ring apron. Kazarian then dropped Home Town Man with a Fade to Black.

Match Result: Francis & Kazarian won when Kazarian pinned The Home Town Man (11:20).

This was going good until the finish.

— Cedric Alexander and Brian Myers swear they had nothing to do with what happened to Matt Hardy last night on Impact.

Tommy Dreamer & Carlos Silva Addressed the Crowd

Dreamer told stories about his ECW heyday, like the Dudleys breaking Buelah’s neck in a building with no air conditioning. They brought Chris Bey, “the ultimate finesse, your girl’s favorite wrestler.” Bey talked about how TNA invests in young talent, bringing out the newest young talent TNA has signed: Ricky Sosa. Signing with TNA is the moment Sosa has been working for for five years. The crowd chanted “you deserve it!” A fan shouted “why should I care?” while Sosa was speaking, which threw Sosa off of his promo. The crowd then started chantingSosa’s chant (Bang! Bang! Sosa! Sosa!), which also threw him out again. He said that TNA was stepping into “Sosa Season.” Sosa signed his TNA contract.

The kid needs work on his promos.  But other than the one fan being a jerk, the fans made Sosa feel like a big deal.

— Blanchard’s crew walked around the back, and Mila Moore was lured into Rosemary’s awful universe by the blood-covered bunny. Ugh. Someone in a gas mask snuck up behind her (apparently Havok, according to the commentators) and this is “To Be Continued…”

At least it was short.

Dani Luna v. Lei Ying Lee (w/ Xia Brookside) v. Arianna Grace (w/ Stacks) for the TNA Knockouts World Championship

Luna jumped Lee during the ring introductions. Grace dropped to the floor when Luna went after her. Lee chased Grace back into the ring and right into a suplex from Luna. Grace dropped to the floor again, and Lee hit Luna with a shotgun dropkick.

Grace pulled Luna out of the ring and smashed her head against the ring apron. Lee hit Grace with a dive, then tossed her back in the ring. Grace missed an elbowdrop on Lee. Lee hit her with a rolling necksnap, then mounted the corner to punch away at Grace.

Lee suplexed Grace out of the corner. Luna snatched up Lee in a choke, and Grace caught Luna with a surprise cradle for a near fall. Luna German suplexed both Grace and Lee out of the corner.

Luna slammed Lee. Luna ran the ropes, but Stacks pulled the ropes open so she jumped to the floor. Grace then attacked Lee in the ring, and hit a forearm strike for a near fall. Grace caught Lee with a neckbreaker, but Luna broke up the pin attempt. Luna leveled Grace with a forearm that sent her to the floor.

Luna just about killed Lee with a boot for a near fall. Luna went for a boot, but, if I can be serious for a minute, Lee countered into a half-crab. Grace then grabbed Lee in a cravat.

Grace caught Lee with a fisherman’s neckbreaker. Lee came back with the Warrior’s Way, but Luna broke up the pin attempt and everyone was down.

Lee leveled Grace with a right hand, then put Luna down with a kick. Grace flipped out of a powerbomb attempt, but walked into a spinning kick from Lee. Grace dropped the floor, but Luna caught Lee with a slingshot blue thunder bomb for two.

Brookside and Starks got into a fight on the floor, which Luna broke up. Luna hit Grace with a forearm. Grace came back with a DDT on Luna for a near fall. Grace then climbed to the top, but Luna caught her with a right hand. Luna set up Grace for an avalanche Samoan drop. Stacks tried to interfere, but Lee kicked Stacks to the mat, then suplexed Luna and Grace to the mat.

Lee went for the Warrior’s Way on Grace again, and Stacks interfered again. Brookside got in Stacks’ face, and Lee knocked out Grace and Stacks with a somersault cannonball.

This left Lee and Luna to square off one on one. They exchanged forearms mid-ring, with neither getting an advantage. Luna tried for a fallaway slam, but Lee escaped and hit a spin kick. Lee hit Luna with the Warrior’s Way and went for the cover, but Stacks dragged Luna out of the ring, and Grace stole the pinfall. Yes, it’s every finish to every triple threat match ever.

Match Result: Grace pinned Luna to retin the title (13:43).

The crowd rightfully booed the finish. If I had to rate all the performers in the match on who is ready to make a move up, Stacks and Grace are tied for last.

— Allie told Mara Sadé to follow the white rabbit. The rabbit led Sadé to Rosemary, and she asked Rosemary to make Michael B. Jordan interfere. Rosemary and Sadé will talk after Sadé match tonight.

Mustafa Ali & Tasha Steelz (w/ Order 4) v. Trey Miguel & Jada Stone

The best 60 seconds of this show so far was Migeul and Ali’s opening exchange. Ali hit Miguel with a step up rana, but Miguel landed on his feet and nearly took Ali’s head off with a kick. Steelz and Stone each tagged in. Stone took Steelz down with a tijeras, and Steelz came back with a step up rana. The match soon devolved into a cat fight, and Miguel and Ali dragged their partners into their corners to regroup.

Ali and Miguel squared up again, but Ali popped Stone with a cheap shot. Stone demanded the tag to face Ali in the ring. The crowd chanted “You f****d up!” I’m not sure if they meant Stone or Ali. Ali and Stone locked up, and Ali easily overpowered her. Ali back Stone up in the corner, but Stone caught him with a kick. Stone managed to hit Ali with a spinning DDT. Stone came off the top rope and sent Ali to the floor with a hurricanrana. Steelz charged at Stone, who ducked, which sent Steelz tumbling to the floor. Stone went for a dive, but the Great Hands stood in front of Steelz and Ali. So Miguel took them out with a dive.

Stone and Steelz fought on the floor. Steelz whipped Ali into the apron, but she slid on the mat and right into a DDT from Ali.

Back in the ring, Ali tried for an arrogant cover, but Stone kicked out. Steelz got the tag and struggled to hit Sliced Bread out of the corner, but she pulled it off. Steelz missed a charged in the corner, and both men got the tags.

Miguel came off the top with a dropkick on Ali. Miguel caught Ali with a fireman’s carry that he turned into a Shellshock. Steelz went after Miguel with chops, and he shrugged it off and dropped her with a side backbreaker.

Ali went for a superkick on Miguel, but Miguel ducked and Stone caught the kick. Miguel sent Ali into the middle buckle in that nasty bump that Ali always takes.

Ali hung up Miguel with a Dance with the Devil DDT on the ring apron. Steelz followed up with frog splash, but Miguel kicked out at two. Ali yanked Miguel off the middle ropes and into a cutter from Steelz for another near fall.

Miguel caught Ali with an up kick, then came off the top with a meteora. Steelz and Stone squared off again, and Stone hit a series of flying clotheslines and a forearm. Stone hit a running meteora then a split-legged moonsault for two. Ali got the tag and squared off with Stone again. Stone countered a double-team and hit Ali with a spinning DDT, then countered a backdrop attempt from Ali with a destroyer. Stone came off the top with moonsault onto the floor on both Ali and Steelz.

Stone went to the top again, but Ali cut her off, then set her up for a Splash Mountain off the top, but Stone countered that into a hurricanrana. Stone hit a twisting moonsault, but Ali kicked out at two and WHAT IS THIS MATCH.

Steelz grabbed the International Title belt. In the chaos, the Great Hands jumped Miguel and tied him up with zip ties.  Without Miguel to help, Stone was left with Ali, and he killed her with a Dance with the Devil. Ali then crushed Stone with a 450.

Match Result: Ali and Steelz won with Ali pinned Stone after a 450 splash (15:15).

— Arianna Grace taunted Lei Ying Lee and Xia Brookside, so Santino Marella made Grace versus Brookside for the Knockouts Title for next week’s Impact. Stacks called Marella a horrible father.

Moose (w. Alisha Edwards) v. Eddie Edwards

Alisha and Eddie got into it before the match started. Eddie grabbed a kendo stick from under the ring. The referee wouldn’t start the match while Eddie had the kendo stick. Alisha grabbed the kneed stick from her husband, and Moose hit him with a kick to get the match underway.

And they brawled on the floor for a bit, until Agent Zero ran in and attacked Mose from behind, causing a disqualification.

Match Result: Moose by dq (0:31).

After the match, Agent Zero beat on Moose. Alisha jumped on Zero’s back, and Eddie had to pull his wife off of Zero’s back. Well, that was a whole lot of nothing.

— Steve Maclin is going to take everything from Mike Santana.

Elana Black v. Mara Sadé in a No Disqualification Match.

Sadé brought out a bedazzled bat. Black snatched the bat right away, but it didn’t come into play at all. Sadé and Black brawled around the ringside area. Black caught Sadé with a back elbow, then pulled a kendo stick out from under the ring and beat Sadé with it. Black pulled a stop sign from under the ring, but Sadé used the steps as a springboard to land a dropkick. Sadé celebrated, and Black hit under the ring.

Sadé went looking for Black under the ring, and when she found her, Black hit her in the gut with a fire extinguisher. Black set off the fire extinguisher in Sadé’s face and took control. Black rammed Sadé’s head into the steel steps, then tossed Sadé into the ring.

Black pulled a steel chair from under the ring. Black sent Sadé into the mat headfirst, then hit her with the chair. After some tepid offense, Black went to the floor to pull a table from under the ring. Black then changed her mind and put the table back to draw heat from the crowd. Black then went back to her tepid offense, slapping a chinlock on Sadé.

Sadé escaped the chinlock and got the bat. She hit Black with a bat, then caught her with a slingblade while the crowd chanted for tables. Sadé set up a chair for Black, then came off the ropes with a springboard crossbody for two.

Black came back with an enzuigiri, then dumped Sadé to the mat for two. Black then pulled out a sack filled with thumbtacks. Black went for the Blackout, but Sadé countered with a backdrop that mostly missed the thumbtacks, so Sadé followed up by slamming Black right into the tacks. Sadé finished Black off with the moonsault.

Match Result: Sadé pinned Black after a moonsault (9:37).

— The commentators take stock of the TNA World title situation, and Rehwoldt and Hannfian seem to think it’s Eddie Edwards cashing in his title shot at Rebellion… they ignore the promo from earlier where Nic Nemeth said he was cashing in his title shot at Rebellion.

Cedric Alexander & Brian Myers v. Vincent (of the Righteous) & Jeff Hardy

Vincent had his face painted like Jeff Hardy. Vincent and Jeff had great team chemistry early on, taking out both members of The System with Poetry in Motion, then catching them with stereo dives on the floor. The crowd was very into Jeff Hardy, as they always are.

Vincent went to the top, but Myers crotched him on the buckles. Alexander stomped on Vincent and taunted Jeff. Alexander cut off Vincent with a back elbow. The System double-teamed Vincent in the corner. Myers hit a suplex for a near fall, then wore Vincent down with a chinlock.

Vincent escaped the chinlock but ran into a high knee from Myers. More double-teaming from the heels, then Alexander chopped away at Vincent in the corner. Alexander hit a seated Vincent with a dropkick in the shoulder for a near fall.

Vincent caught Myers with a Russian Legsweep, the got the tag to Jeff. Jeff hit Alexander with forearms and a legdrop to the groin. Jeff went for the Twist of Fate, but Alexander pushed Hardy off into a spear from Myers. Alexander hit a Michinoku Driver on Jeff for a near fall. The System went for double team suplex, but Vincent made the save. Jeff gave Alexander a Twist of Fate into a twisting DDT from Vincent, but Myers broke up the pin attempt.

Alexander dumped Vincent with a release German suplex. Hardy hit Alexander with the Twist of Fate. Jeff hit the Swanton Bomb, but on the TNA-Tron, the picture changed to Dutch standing over a bloodied Matt Hardy, revealing the betrayal of the The Hardys by the Righteous. Distracted, Jeff falls victim to the Roster Cut from Myers, and the Lumbar Check from Alexander.

Match Result: Alexander and Myers by pinfall when Alexander pinned Hardy (8:44).

After the match, Vincent left Jeff Hardy alone in the ring. Hardy struggled to get back to his feet, encouraged by the crowd.

Rebellion So Far:

  • The Hardys v. Bear Bronson & Brian Myers for the World Tag Team Title.
  •  Mustafa Ali v. Trey Miguel for the International Title.
  • Leon Slater v. Cedric Alexander for the X Division Title.
  • Elijah v. Frankie Kazarian

The Elegance Brand

The Concierge brought out the TNA Knockouts Tag Team champions and Mr. Elegance for an announcement. M announced that Ash is still bedridden from the stress of being called a “mark” by the crowd. She added that ODB should go back to the trailer park where she belongs.

Of course, this brings out ODB. Heather points out the math ain’t mathing for ODB, since there are two members of the Elegance Brand out there, but only one of ODB. And even though she could go 2-on-1, she’s a married woman, so she brings you Taryn Terrell (another former Knockout’s Champion) for help. Terrell looked 25, but her Wikipedia page says she’s 40. Mr. Elegance grabs the mic and points out the math still ain’t mathing, since with him there’s 3 members of the Elegance Brand but still only two of them. ODB had them “hit her music,” which brought out Mickie James. James called The Concierge “pickle d!ck” then led the charge of TNA legends against the Elegance Brand.

James and Terrell tripped up Mr. Elegance, then took out M and Heather. Then all three ladies took shots at Mr. Elegance. James hit Mr. Elegance low, and then ODB dumped him to the floor.

— Daria Rae warned Santino Marella that it was unprofesional to pick favorites in tonight’s main event.

Steve Maclin v. Mike Santana for the TNA World Championship

Maclin going from completely fired to top contender in two months should be an inspiration for anyone worried about whether stipulations matter.

But unfortunately, this match was derailed by an injury to Maclin very early on.

Maclin pie-faced Santana out of a lockup. Santana locked on a side headlock, but Maclin shrugged that off. Both men collided in the center of the ring with shoulder blocks, but neither guy got the advantage. Santana and Maclin exchanged slaps and strikes until Santana finally locked Maclin down with a superkick.

Maclin was rocked by the superkick and he went rubber-legged and dropped to the mat. Santana tried to set up Maclin for a forearm, but the ref got between them and threw up the “X” sign. A doctor came into the ring. The camera focused on Santana while another TNA trainer and Carlos Silva checked on Maclin. Maclin got to his feet, then dropped to his knee again. A fifth trainer person (another trainer I’d guess) came out, with Maclin now slumped against the bottom rope.

Eddie Edwards ran in and jumped Santana, and Maclin was helped to the back. Maclin was legit knocked out of the match by the superkick, and someone called an audible for Edwards to run in. Edwards gave Santana a back suplex on the apron.

Santana backdropped Edwards on the floor and set up a table. They got back in the ring, and Santana hit a discus lariat on Edwards, then dumped him to the floor again. Santana then came off the top with a frog splash.

Match Result: Mike Santana declared the winner by no contest. (There was no final bell to end the match, but the whole business from the start to Edwards going through the table was about 6-7 minutes. And no, I’m not just doing that “6-7” meme).

Santana looked disappointed as he celebrated in the ring to end the show.

Final Thoughts:
Overall, the angle to get there was pretty dumb, but the match between Santana and Maclin was shaping up to be a good one. This was an unfortunate end of the show. But TNA 100% did the right thing by protecting their talent and getting Maclin out of there.

The rest of the show was the usual mixed bag of solid to good to great in-ring action, with some head-scratching angles. I’d say the mixed tag is the best thing on the show and worth checking out. It probably set up the Miguel/Ali match at Rebellion to steal the show.

Matt Hardy replaced as part of final TNA Sacrifice card

Buff Bagwell, Crazzy Steve make appearances on TNA Impact

Both former WCW star Buff Bagwell and former TNA Digital Media Champion Crazzy Steve made surprise appearances on Thursday’s TNA Impact.

From our Joseph Collins:

“Gia Miller interviewed Buff Bagwell in front of the live crowd. Buff thanked God for being with him every step of the way on his journey, which has included getting his leg amputated last year. Bagwell apologized for his behavior over the last twenty years, and promised that if the fans get behind him, he would walk to the ring and wrestle for TNA one more time.

Frankie Kazarian came out to mock Bagwell “walking” to the ring. Kazarian said Buff was “half the man he used to be” while Kazarian was “twice the man he ever was.” Elijah appeared to chase Kazarian off, and offered to walk down to the ring with Bagwell.”

Bagwell wrestled four times for TNA back in 2002, even appearing on their very first show.

The clip of Bagwell’s return can be viewed below.

*********

Crazzy Steve’s return came during a filmed segment with Rosemary and Allie, seen below. It’s unknown if he has re-signed with TNA or if this was a one-off appearance.

Steve hadn’t appeared in TNA since April 2024, but has remained active on the indies since then in addition to a brief NWA run. He made his AEW debut in a January 2025 dark match, but never appeared in the company again.

Leon Slater says John Cena WWE retirement show was ‘best day of my life’

December 13, 2025 was the best day of Leon Slater’s life so far.

The 21-year-old TNA X-Division Champion got to compete on John Cena’s retirement show on that date, teaming with Je’Von Evans in a loss to AJ Styles & Dragon Lee. Slater reflected on the moment during an appearance on the Battleground podcast and discussed how much it meant for him to represent TNA at such a big WWE event.

“It was a mad one, you know? It was really, really wild because it was — it almost feels like a dream when I look back on it, you know what I mean? Again, I repeat myself, but I have to pinch myself to confirm that was real. Let alone being a WWE superstar and being on that card, because I think there was four or five matches. So if we’re talking about spots available, we’re talking 10-15 maximum, on such an iconic night.

“I was saying to my friends and like my family, WrestleMania happens every year, SummerSlam happens every year. And that doesn’t take away from how huge that is, but there’s only one John Cena and there’s only one John Cena retirement show. So the fact that I don’t even work there and I was on John Cena’s last show as the X-Division Champion coming out with it around my neck representing my brand and my people, it was something that I hold very, very close to my heart. And it’s something I’m very, very proud of.”

With current WWE stars and legends like Kurt Angle, Rob Van Dam, and The Undertaker there, the entire night was surreal for Slater. It felt like everyone to ever exist in wrestling was at the show.

“So to be surrounded by that, and then to have the match that we had, it was a dream come true,” Slater said. “Especially with it being AJ and having Je’Von and Dragon there as well. It really was — it was the best day of my life, man. I’ll be real, it was great.”

Having the support of people like The Hardys means a lot to Slater, but he told the Battleground podcast that he doesn’t feel any extra pressure because of it. Ever since he started wrestling, he has visualized himself as being in this spot. He wants to become the greatest of all time and “complete wrestling” by going everywhere and doing everything possible.

Slater said his dream match at the moment is a bout against TNA World Champion Mike Santana. He views himself and Santana as being the top two wrestlers in TNA over the past several months and thinks a match between them is inevitable, whether it’s for Santana’s title or his own.

“I feel like, for me, that’s a match that has to happen this year so we can see who’s the best that TNA really has,” Slater said.

***************

Taped! From Atlanta, Georgia.

Tom Hannifan & Matthew Rehwoldt were on commentary.

Frankie Kazarian v. The Home Town Man

The Home Town Man started out strong, but Kazarian took the wind out of his sails with an eye rake and a stiff clothesline. As Frankie was in control, AJ Francis wandered down to ringside and joined the commentary team. Kazarian cut off a comeback from The Homer with another clothesline, then hit a slingshot backbreaker for near fall. Kazarian then choked out Homer with his Atlanta jersey.

The Home Town Man started to come back and dropped a big elbow. Homer gave Kazarian an airplane spin into a cutter, but only got a near fall. Frankie went for a chickenwing, but Homer escaped and got a cradle for two. Kazarian came back with the springboard leg drop for two. The Home Town Man avoided the Fade to Black and went to the top rope, but AJ Francis distracted him. So, Homer came off the top and hit Francis with a crossbody to the floor.

Kazarian went for a legdrop (I think) at the same time Francis was pulling The Home Town Man out of the ring, causing Kazarian to miss and hurt his hip. The Homer caught Francis with a slap, then rolled back in the ring and small packaged Kazarian for the surprise victory!

Match Result: The Home Town Man defeated Frankie Kazarian (6:22).

After the match, Francis and Kazarian attacked The Home Town Man, but the lights went out. When they came back on, Elijah was in the ring and he dusted Francis with a guitar shot to send the heels packing.

— Gia Miller interviewed the Angel Warriors. Tonight, they’re going to send a message to Dani Luna and Arianna Grace, and Lei Ying Lee demanded her rematch.

— Santino Marella and Daria Rae argue in the back. They agree to make Arianna Grace v. Lei Ying Lee v. Dani Luna (owed a title match from Genesis) a triple threat match for the Knockouts Championship at Sacrifice.

Mr. Elegance (w/ The Elegance Brand) v. “Action” Mike Jackson

Jackson is 76 years old and TNA has no problem putting him in the ring.

Jackson ducked a charge from Elegance and sent him to the floor, then followed him out with a through-the-ropes plancha. Back in the ring, Jackson dodged another charge from Elegance. Jackson did an old (old Old OLD) school rope walk spot and followed that up with right hands. The crowd was going nuts for the old guy.

Elegance finally caught Jackson with a kick to the gut and a clothesline from behind. The crowd chanted “You suck!” Elegance slammed Jackson, then posed. Elegance dropped an elbow, then finished off Jackson with a fireman’s carry into a spinebuster, which is called the “Excuse Moi” according to Rehwoldt.

Match Result: Mr. Elegance pinned Jackson (4:10).

After the match, the Elegance Brand tried to dump some drinks on Jackson, but ODB walked in with a chair to make the save. ODB laid out Mr. Elegance with a chair shot and got the drinks from The Concierge, which they dumped on Mr. Elegance.

— The System challenged different TNA champions: Brian Myers and Bear Bronson want The Hardys, Cedric Alexander wants Leon Slater’s X-Division title (he is also owed a title shot from Genesis), and Eddie Edwards said the clock is ticking on Mike Santana’s title reign.

Dani Luna & TNA Knockouts World Champion Arianna Grace (w/ Stacks) v. The Angel Warriors (Xia Brookside & Lei Ying Lee)

Lee and Brookside combined to suplex Luna. Luna rolled to the floor and dodged a dive from Lee. Grace went after Brookside in the ring, but Brookside dumped her to the floor, and the heels had to regroup.

Back in the ring, Luna escaped an arm ringer from Brookside with a slam. Grace tagged in and missed an elbow, and Brookside took her down with arm drags and a crossbody. Grace got worked over in the Angel Warriors corner. Brookside used Lee and a springboard to drop an elbow on Grace.

Lee took Grace down with a leg sweep and hit her with a dropkick, then pummeled her with fists in the corner. Luna and Stacks both tried to make a save, but Lee knocked them away and got a near fall on Grace. Grace asked for help from Luna on a double team, but Luna ignored her. Luna tagged in and stomped Lee, while Grace dropped to the floor to regroup with Stacks.

Luna dropped an elbow on Lee’s back, then worked her over with hammer elbows to the chest. Lee fought back and took Luna down with a leg sweep. Then, if I can be serious for a minute, Lee locked Luna in a half-crab. Grace dove in to make the save.

Grace suplexed Lee. Grace went to taunt Brookside, and Lee rolled her up for a near fall. Grace locked Lee in a chinlock. Luna and Grace started to argue, which gave Brookside the opportunity to tag in.

Brookside took Grace down with a neckbreaker, which caused Grace to DDT Luna a in a convoluted spot. Brookside dropped Grace with a… er, Samoan Drop, but Luna broke up the pin attempt. Grace gave Brookside a lung blower for a near fall. Luna and Grace argued some more, which culminated in Luna shoving Grace off the top to the floor.

Lee went for a dive on Grace, but she ducked and Lee took out Stacks. Back  in the ring, Luna hit Brookside with the Luna Landing and got the pinfall.

Match Result: Grace & Luna won when Luna pinned Brookside (11:02).

TNA Injury Report:

  • Leon Slater is still injured after a piledriver from Young weeks ago.
  • Indi Hartwell is out with a knee injury after being attacked by Arianna Grace.
  • Cedric Alexander is sore but cleared to compete.
  • Moose has a hip injury, but he is also cleared to compete.

Leon Slater Addressed Eric Young

Leon Slater came out to address the crowd. He began to doubt himself after the piledriver Eric Young gave him two weeks ago. Slater started to doubt himself, but at Genesis he will stand “ten toes down” to break Eric Young at Sacrifice.

Moose (w/ Alisha Edwards) v. Brian Myers (w/ The System)

Moose is working his way through The System at a pretty quick clip. He’s got Bear Bronson next week, and Eddie Edwards a few days later at Sacrifice.

Before the match can really get underway, Santino Marella came out to remind the System they’ve been banned from ringside. Marella got the crowd to chant “na-na-na, goodbye!” at the System.

Marella demanded the bell ring, and Myers turned around right into a spear from Moose.

Match Result: Moose pinned Myers after a spear (0:05).

Envy

Thankfully, this was kept short.

Rosemary snapped her fingers, and Allie appeared. Allie wanted a change of clothes, because “she died” in the outfit she was wearing. They go to Raven, who is envious of Tommy Dreamer (note: Allie did not change clothes). Dreamer’s “face looks like it caught on fire and someone put it out with a rake.” He also looks like “Lizzo ate Abdullah the Butcher.” Raven presented Rosemary with Tommy Dreamer’s blood from a match in 1995.

To Be Continued…

— In the back, The System is upset over Santino Marella’s actions in the last match, and the Bear is coming for Moose. Myers wanted to remind the Hardys who he was (a jobber? I think Moose took care of that) and went off to look for Daria Rae.

Elayna Black v. Jada Stone

Mara Sade joined the commentary team for this match.

Stone looked tiny compared to Black. Stone would bounce off the ropes and they’d barely move. Stone clotheslined herself against the ropes and Black got a near fall. Black slid in and hit Stone with an elbow to the back for a near fall. Black stomped Stone in the corner, then hit her with a running knee for two.

Stone came back and hit Black with an enziguri in the corner. Stone hit a split-legged moonsault for a near fall. Tasha Steelz came out to distract Stone, but after fighting her off, she hit Black with a superkick. Steelz tripped up Stone when she went for a handspring, and Black hit the Blackout for the pinfall.

Match Result: Black pinned Stone (4:02).

After the match, Black dropped to the floor and got in Mara Sade’s face. Security came out to keep Black and Sade separated, ushering Black out through the crowd.

Then, Mustafa Ali and the rest of Order 4 came out. They surrounded Stone in the ring. Trey Miguel ran in with a steel chair to keep Order 4 at bay.

— Jody Threat and her crew confronted Tessa Blanchard and her crew to challenge Blanchard to a match for next week.

The Nemeths v. The Righteous

Nic Nemeth and Vincent started the match. Nic outclassed Vincent on the mat, then kicked him in the gut. Vincent came back with a back elbow. Ryan Nemeth tagged in, took a neckbreaker from Vincent, then tagged back out. Nic was double teamed in the Righteous corner. Vincent hit Nic with a flatliner, and Dutch covered for two. Dutch slammed Vincent onto Nic for a near fall, and Nic dropped to the floor to regroup.

Back in the ring, Dutch pounded Nic in the corner. The crowd chanted “this is awesome,” but come on, it’s just okay. The psychology here felt backwards: the Nemeths are the heels and the Righteous are the faces, but Nemeth was selling like a babyface and the Righteous were double-teaming him like heels.

Dutch hit Nic with a sideslam for a near fall. Ryan caught Vincent with a knee from behind, and Nic hit the Famouser for a near fall. Ryan tagged in and dropped Vincent with a hangman’s neckbreaker for another near fall. Ryan held Vincent open for an eyepoke from Nic. Now the psychology is correct.

Vincent tried to fight out of the Nemeth’s corner, but Nic took him down by his legs. Ryan came in to work over Vincent. Both Nic and Ryan mocked Vincent’s dance. Nic locked in a sleeper with a body scissors. Vincent fought to his feet, and Nic raked Vincent’s eyes.

Dutch finally got the tag. He dropped Ryan with an elbow and Nic with an exploder suplex. Ryan hit the Black Hole Slam on Ryan for a near fall, with Nic making the save. Dutch mowed both Nemeths down with a double clothesline, and Vincent came off the top with a crossbody on both Nemeths.

Vincent hit Ryan with a twisting DDT for a near fall. On the floor, Nic sent Dutch into the steel steps. Dutch rolled up Ryan, but Ryan kicked out and sent Vincent flying into Nic, who popped him with a forearm. Ryan then hit the Big Hollywood Ending (aka Danger Zone aka Zig Zag when Nic does the move).

Match Result: The Nemeths defeated The Righteous when Ryan pinned Vincent.

Man, the Righteous can’t buy a win in this promotion.

Mike Santana Goes Face to Face with Steve Maclin

Mike Santana and Steve Maclin sat across from each other with a table between them. A waiter arrived and Maclin ordered “two drinks.” You can tell it’s TV because Maclin just ordered drinks and the waiter accepted that with no follow up. Santana said that when he returned to TNA, Maclin was someone who helped him prove he belonged in TNA. Santana looked up to Maclin like a brother, as someone who always had Santana’s back. Santana started talking about Maclin’s ego, but Maclin cut him off.

Maclin talked about his experience in Afghanistan, getting out of his van to sweep for mines for two miles even though he had no experience. Why that makes Maclin a heel, I do not know.

The drinks arrived, and Maclin took one, then put the other in front of Santana. Santana: “While you were away fighting someone else’s war, I fought a war within myself.” Yes, Santana used his past to get him where he is, but Santana made his past his superpower, but Maclin made his past his excuse. Santana hoped Maclin was ready at Sacrifice to fight for everything he’s complained about. And when Santana wins at Sacrifice, all the drama that Maclin caused will have been for nothing.

Santana paid for the drinks (pushing “his” drink towards Maclin) and left Maclin with, “You’re welcome for your job.”

Next Week on Impact:

  • Moose v. Bear Bronson
  • Mustafa Ali v. BDE
  • Jody Threat, Harley Hudson & Myla Grace v. Victoria Crawford, Mila Moore & Tessa Blanchard
  • Jeff Hardy v. Brian Myers
  • Eddie Edwards & Cedric Alexander v. Leon Slater & Mike Santana

Sacrifice Card:

  • Mike Santana v. Steve Maclin for the TNA World Championship
  • Leon Slater v. Eric Young for the X Division Championship
  • Arianna Grace v. Lei Ying Lee v. Dani Luna for the TNA Knockouts World Championship
  • Moose v. Eddie Edwards

Next week’s Impact and the Sacrifice card are shaping up very nicely. Other than the Elegance nonsense and whatever the Rosemary skits are supposed to be, this was a perfectly passable episode of Impact.

Nic Nemeth: My last WWE contract was to keep me from going to AEW

Nic Nemeth says his final contract with WWE was meant to keep him from going to AEW.

The former Dolph Ziggler appeared on Off the Ropes with Jonathan Coachman recently and explained that he told WWE he was asking for more money than he believed they would pay him because he was ready to leave.

Nemeth said:

“My last contract was to keep me from going to AEW. That was it. It was winked and not said, but it was completely understood. I go, I’m asking for this elaborate amount because I know you won’t pay me what I’m worth. I’m gonna make a move. I’m going elsewhere. They go, nope, we’ll do it. I go, what? Okay.”

It is not entirely clear when Nemeth’s final WWE contract was signed. However, it was reported in 2018 that he had signed a two-year deal with the company believed to be worth $1.5 million per year. He likely signed an extension at some point, as Nemeth later said that at the time of his WWE release in September 2023, he still had a year and a half left on his deal.

Nemeth announced that he re-signed with TNA Wrestling in January. The length of the deal has not been disclosed.

A clip of Nemeth talking about his final WWE deal is available below:

TNA signs Candice Michelle for backstage role

Candice Michelle recently resurfaced in TNA Wrestling — and it’s now been confirmed that she is officially under contract with the promotion.

TNA posted a video today with Carlos Silva and Tommy Dreamer presenting Michelle with her contract. In the clip, Silva — the president of TNA — said Michelle will be part of the TNA team and working behind the scenes.

“Candice, it’s so great that you’re going to be part of the TNA team, be behind the scenes with us as a former champion, bringing all of that experience to all the women here at TNA,” Silva said. “It’s going to be great. We’re just so happy. I’ve got your contract here. I think it’s got everything that we talked about, and we just look forward to building this together.”

Michelle said she didn’t know that professional wrestling would come back into her life like this, but she’s happy to be back home in the industry. Dreamer reached out to her about the opportunity — and she’s looking forward to helping out.

“To give me a platform so that I can help build this with you guys and be a small little piece of that and see where I can fit in there on any angle, it’s just really a dream come true,” she said.

Michelle was a one-time Women’s Champion for WWE during the 2000s. She was shown in attendance at TNA’s AMC premiere this January and has been backstage at other shows since.

TNA Impact notes: Next week’s lineup, Goldy Locks makes surprise appearance

The road to this month’s Sacrifice continues on next week’s TNA Thursday Night Impact.

Former TNA World Champion Frankie Kazarian will return to the TNA ring for the first time since February when he takes on The Home Town Man after a near skirmish Thursday.

The show will feature a pair of tag team matches as The Angel Warriors (Le Ying Lee & Xia Brookside) take on Dani Luna & Arianna Grace while The Nemeth Brothers battle The Righteous in search of a Tag Team title show.

Former TNA World Champion Moose will continue on his revenge tour against The System as he goes one-on-one with Brian Myers.

Mr. Elegance will finally make his in-ring debut after nearly two months.

The show is rounded out by Elena Black vs. Jada Stone.

Next week’s TNA Thursday Night Impact lineup

  • Frankie Kazarian vs. The Home Town Man
  • The Angel Warriors (Le Ying Lee & Xia Brookside) vs. Dani Luna & Arianna Grace
  • Mr. Elegance makes his in-ring debut
  • Elena Black vs. Jada Stone
  • Moose vs. Brian Myers
  • Nic & Ryan Nemeth vs. The Righteous (Vincent & Dutch)

**********

Old school TNA fans saw a familiar face on Thursday’s show as Goldy Locks made a surprise appearance.

She appeared during an interview segment, backing up Gia Miller as she was being berated by The Elegance Brand. It’s unknown if this was a one-time appearance or if more is planned.

The soon-to-be 47-year-old musician was a fixture in the company’s early days as a backstage interviewer and occasional manager. She also wrestled twice (2003, 2004).

Cedric Alexander says he had the opportunity to go to AEW, but wanted to ‘do my own thing’

In an interview with Busted Open Radio on Thursday, Cedric Alexander claimed he had the opportunity to sign with AEW but declined due to wanting to do his own thing.

Alexander was talking about Shelton Benjamin, Bobby Lashley and MVP signing with AEW and forming The Hurt Syndicate in late-2024. He had feelings about that union, saying that while he was happy for the three to “finish their story the way they want to” he couldn’t help but think about his own situation.

“I helped make that group what it was (in WWE) but at the same time, too, when I had the opportunity to go to AEW, I was looking at it in a sense of…well, for them, they’re finishing their careers with The Hurt Business. I still got another 10…15 years to go,” he said.

He didn’t say when he was offered a contract.

“I kind of want to do my own thing and just be my own man for a while and not be linked to ‘All he did was Hurt Business stuff. Cedric Alexander because of the Hurt Business.’ Like, nah, no, I was a self-made man before I came to WWE in the (Cruiserweight Classic), so I would like to be able to say, ‘This was my choice and something I did for me.'”

In March 2025, Alexander did an interview where he said he “100%” wanted to reunite with the group. He didn’t say what changed.

The 36-year-old has been in TNA since June 2025, re-signing in January 2026. He is currently part of the new-look System faction.

TNA Impact live results: Moose vs. Cedric Alexander Atlanta Street Fight

TNA Impact is back on AMC tonight.

A.J. Francis, who recently re-signed with TNA, will face Elijah in singles action. Moose will take on Cedric Alexander in an Atlanta Street Fight, with the rest of The System banned from ringside. Ricky Sosa will make his AMC debut on the show. Indi Hartwell will also be in action, though her opponent has not been announced.

We will also hear from Steve Maclin, who has been ordered to apologize to Tom Hannifan. The Hardys are set for tag team action against Sinner and Saint. A six-man tag team match is also scheduled, with Trey Miguel, BDE, and Rich Swann facing Order 4.

Tonight’s episode was taped on March 6, 2026, at Gateway Center Arena in College Park, Georgia. TNA’s next live event will be Sacrifice on Friday, March 27, at the Alario Center in the New Orleans area.

Our live coverage kicks off at 9 p.m. Eastern.

From Atlanta, Georgia.

Tom Hannifan & Matthew Rehwoldt were on commentary.

TNA World Tag Team Champions The Hardys v. Sinner & Saint (Travis Williams & Judas Icarus)

This match is non-title. Williams dropkicked Matt Hardy using his own partner’s shoulders as a perch for a near fall. There was a one minute heat segment on Matt before he backdropped Icarus and got the hot tag to Jeff. Icarus escaped a Twist of Fate and got the tag to Williams. Williams hit Hardy with a dropkick in the corner, and Icarus followed up with a frog splash for two.

Cue up the four way brawl, and Williams was dumped to the floor. Matt delivered the Side Effect and Jeff went to the top for a Swanton Bomb. But Williams pulled Matt out of the ring and Icarus pulled Jeff to the mat. Jeff kicked Icarus low, Matt hit Williams with the Twist of Fate, and Jeff locked Icarus in his new submission, the “Spinal Destination.”

Match Result: The Hardys defeated Sinner & Saint when Icarus tapped out (5:08).

After the match, Jeff hit Williams with the Swanton Bomb, which seemed unnecessary. Then everyone shook hands.

— Gia Miller interviewed the Elegance Brand. The Concierge said Micike James and ODB need to stop riding the Elegance Brand’s coattails. Next week, Mr. Elegance will debut in the ring. Former TNA Knockout Goldy Locks came on the scene to chastise the Elegance Brand for not respecting the Knockouts that came before them.

TNA keeps bringing out these old acts like ODB and Goldy Locks, but they’re not do a great job explaining who they are, or why they’re important.

Indi Hartwell v. Kelsey Heather

Heather missed a double handspring blow in the corner. Hartwell dropped her with a suplex. Heather caught Hartwell with a spilt-legged bulldog, but missed a moonsault off the middle rope. Hartwell hit a series of clotheslines and a spinebuster, then hit the Hurts Donut to finish.

Match Result: Hartwell pinned Heather after the Hurts Donut.

After the match, Hartwell grabbed the house mic. Hartwell didn’t come to TNA just to have matches, she came to TNA to be Knockouts Champion. Arianna Grace doesn’t deserve to be champion, and Hartwell demanded a shot at the title.

Arianna Grace and Stacks came out and Grace told Hartwell you don’t just get title shots by asking, and Hartwell can get in the back of the line.

— The Hardys and the Righteous conferred near a garage door in the back. The Righteous promised to watch the Hardys back against the System. The Nemeths came along, and they also want a title shot.

Trey Miguel, Rich Swann & BDE v. Mustafa Ali, John Skylar and Jason Hotch (or Order 4)

Ali cut his hair. If he was gonna get his hair cut, he should have done a hair v. hair match with Elijah! That feels like such a missed opportunity.

The match kicked off with a brawl which spilled to the floor, where Skylar and Hotch threw Miguel against the edge of the ring apron.

Order 4 triple-teamed BDE in the ring while his partners struggled to get to their corner. BDE caught Skylar with a small package for a near fall. Skylar backdropped BDE into the turnbuckles. Skylar held BDE open so Hotch had Ali could hit stereo rolling hangman’s neckbreakers. That was a nice spot.

Ali dropkicked BDE in the corner. BDE went for a destroyer but it didn’t look good (I think Skylar may have thought he was going to be sunset flip) and Hotch caught him with a clothesline.

BDE hit Hotch with a spinning DDT and just as both teams made hot tags… the show cut to a break. Blarg.

So after a seven minute heat segment and ill-timed commercial, we’re back to Swann running wild on Ali. Swann spiked Ali with a rana for a near fall. The Great Hards made the save and everyone was brawling. Stereo superkicks sent the Great Hands to the floor, which were followed up by stereo dives. Swann hit a RVD-style frog splash on Ali for a near fall.

Miguel got the tag, and he dumped the Great Hands and blew the doors off of Order 4 with incredible high-flying offense. Tasha Steelz jumped up on the apron to distract Miguel, and Jada Stone chased into the crowd. Stone hit Steels with a dive off the entrance ramp.

Back in the ring, BDE hit Skylar with a springboard cutter, but Hodge caught him with a spinning uranage. Miguel suplexed Hodge out of his boots, then hit Hodge with a sliding destroyer to the floor. Ali caught Miguel with a dive, Swann caught Ali with a kick, and Skylar took out Swann with a spear on the floor.

Skylar tossed Miguel back in the ring. He went for a slingshot spear, but Miguel ducked that and hit the Shellshock, then followed up with the Lightning Spiral.

Match Result: Miguel, Swann & BDE won when Miguel pinned Skylar (12:01).

Everything after the commercial break was fire.

After the match, Ali eyed up Miguel’s TNA International Title belt before handing it to him. Miguel v. Ali should be tremendous.

TNA Injury Report:

  • The Home Town Man is cleared.
  • Leon Slater is out after Eric Young dropped him with a piledriver.
  • Cedric Alexander and Moose are cleared for the Atlanta Street Fight.

— Mike Santana was in the back waiting for Steve Maclin. Daria Rae came along and warned Santana that if he touches Maclin before the title match, he will be stripped of the title. Santino Marella then showed up to declare that if Maclin touches Santana, then Maclin will be fired, again (like that will stick) and he’ll be deleted from the TNA archives. And then Daria and Santino argue until Steve Maclin showed up to say hi to the champ.

— In the back, Grace complained to Stacks about all the top contenders who want title shots. They happened upon Indi Hartwell around a corner. Stacks distracted Indi to set her up for a completely lame attack from Arianna Grace. Grace (weakly) hit her in the knee with her title belt, then threw some weak kicks at Hartwell. Santino Marella threw Grace and Stacks out of the building which Xia Brookside tended to Hartwell.

Steve Maclin’s Contractually Obligated Apology

Mike Santana watched from the crowd. Maclin was happy to be back on Thursday nights, but it was like he never left (cause he never did). Maclin pulled out a “prepared statement” and almost immediately got the “What!” treatment from the crowd. Maclin issued the kind of fake apology/non-apology that would make any politician, or Ryan from The Office proud.

Maclin has an opportunity to be a two time TNA World Champion, and used Santana’s ego to get himself a title shot the way Santana used his addiction to make the fans care about him. Maclin said maybe he could film his meetings at the VA or play voicemails from his dead father to get sympathy from the crowd. And sure Santana said Maclin will be facing death’s door, but Maclin went face to face with death when he served his country (and that was supposed to be a heel line?). Maclin promised he would meet Mr. Mayhem at Sacrifice. The crowd booed.

I could really do without all the dead father stuff.

— The cast of “Tulsa King” is in the audience, but I only recognized the guy from “Silicon Valley” or “Freaks and Geeks.”

AJ Francis v. Elijah

Frankie Kazarian joined the commentary team, and it sounded like he was talking through a tin can.

Elijah clotheslined Francis to the floor and then followed him out with a springboard plancha. Why did WWE get rid of Elijah again? Elijah hit Francis with a drive-by knee and taunted Kazarian.

Back in the ring, Francis came back with a pop-up right hand, which (according to Hannifan) he calls “The Right Hand of God”. Francis hit Elijah with a running knee in the corner. Francis went for a powerbomb, but Elijah blocked it and countered with an Alabama Slam. That was a great spot.

Elijah caught Francis with a high knee for a near fall. Elijah went to the top, but Francis caught him. Francis went for a superplex, but Elijah fought out of it, and then Francis walked with Elijah into a springboard destroyer! Elijah went for a cover but Francis kicked out.

Franics dropped to the floor to get a breath and rehydrate. Elijah followed and hit Francis with a superkick, grabbed a drink from the commentary table, then threw the drink at Kazarian’s face. Elijah tried to get back in the ring, but Kazarian caught Elijah and snapped his neck against the top ropes. Francis then hit Elijah with a chokeslam.

Match Result: Francis pinned Elijah after a chokeslam (5:51).

Kazarian and Francis tried to lay out Elijah with a beating, but The Home Tome Man chased the heels off with a pipe. I’d like to see more of Francis and Elijah feuding and less of Kazarian.

Greed

The following segment actually happened. “GREED” flashed on the screen to introduce this segment. Johnny Swinger runs a casino in the locker room and thinks everyone is a wrestler from the 80s. He thinks he’s the Red Rooster. Rosemary “appeared” to give the dealer divorce papers. Oh, she and her husband can communicate telepathically, which the audience can hear (but no one else). JDC was there playing cards, and he is enjoying retirement. JDC took Sinner and Saint to Mexico after Icarus won a big hand. Swinger misquoted Roddy Piper from “They Live,” then  Swinger sold the casino to Rosemary. “Two down, five to go.” THERE IS GOING TO BE FIVE MORE OF THESE? The weird rabbit thing was back. Swinger thought that was the Gobbeldy Gooker and followed them out. And then Rosemary handed the deed to the locker room casino to Allie, back in TNA from AEW.

Ricky Sosa v. Brad Attitude

Sosa was making his TNA and AMC debut here. The crowd was into Sosa’s viral entrance, which helped make him look like a star. Sosa hit a fantastic dropkick early. Attitude hit a slingshot senton and worked Sosa over with a chinlock. Sosa came back with a release German suplex and hit a pair of running uppercuts in the corner. Sosa hit a moonsault off the top rope for two.

Attitude went to the floor, and Sosa followed him out with a plancha, clearing the top rope. Back in the ring, Attitude escaped a Blue Thunder Bomb and went for a springboard cutter. But, Sosa caught Attitude and hit him with the Blue Thunder Bomb to get the pinfall.

Match Result: Sosa pinned Attitude after a Blue Thunder Bomb (3:33).

Cedric Alexander (w/OUT the System) v. Moose (w/ Alisha Edwards)

The System were barred from ringside for this match. But Alisha Edwards got to stay in Moose’s corner.

Moose was dominant early on and took the fight to the floor. Alexander reversed a suplex and grabbed a chair from under the ring.  Moose also got a chair, and they dueled with chairs on the floor. Moose won the duel and laid in some chair shots on Alexander’s back. The crowd chanted for tables while Moose limped around ringside.

Moose threw a big plastic trash can at Alexander. Moose then spent a lot of time walking around looking for weapons under the ring. Alexander made Moose pay for that by kicking a trash can lid into his face. Alexander teased pulling a table out from under the ring, then put it back to draw the ire of the crowd.

Alexander went for a spear, but Moose caught him inside the trash can. Alexander was upside down in the trash can, and Moose whacked the can with the steel chair with Alexander inside.

Alexander came back with some chair shots. Alexander procured more chairs from under the ring and a small cookie sheet. Alexander bent the cookie sheet over Moose’s back. Moose blocked an Irish whip into the corner, then sent Alexander to hell with a choke bomb/sky high.

Alexander dropped to the floor. Moose followed and went for a spear, but Alexander ducked and Moose flew into the ring steps. Alexander tried to go for the kill shot on Moose, but Alisha Edwards got in the way. Moose came back and powerbombed Alexander on the apron. They fought on the apron, and Alexander hit Moose low. Moose (who was pretty clearly hurting) took a powerbomb onto an overturned aluminum trashcan, which hardly gave at all.

Alexander threw some more chairs in the ring. Moose was laid out on the pile of chairs and went to the top. Moose popped up though and caught Alexander, then superplexed Alexander from the top rope onto the pile of chairs. That only got two.

Alexander charged into a boot from Moose, but came back with a Spanish Fly for two. Alexander went for a springboard but jumped right into a spear from Moose. Alexander dropped to the floor to regroup. Moose followed and pulled the table out from under the ring, getting a nice pop.

Back in the ring, Moose set up the table and tried to spear Alexander through it, but he got out of the way. Alexander hit a brainbuster but Moose kicked out at one. Moose came back with a headbutt, then speared Alexander through the table.

Match Result: Moose pinned Alexander after a spear through a table (16:09).

Moose’s back is getting thrashed in these brawls.
