WWE SNME December 2025 John Cena Last Match Tickets: Has the show sold out?

John Cena’s final WWE match at Saturday Night’s Main Event on Saturday 13 December 2025 at Capital One Arena in Washington, DC is one of the hottest tickets of the year. With WWE heavily promoting this as the end of a 20 plus year career, demand for seats has surged across both primary and resale markets. But has the show actually sold out yet?

Is WWE SNME December 2025 sold out?

According to WrestleTix’s latest update on 2 December 2025, WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event at Capital One Arena has:

  • Available tickets: 780
  • Current setup: 17,263
  • Tickets distributed: 16,483

That means the show is not sold out yet, but more than 95 per cent of the configured seats have already been claimed. WrestleTix also notes this is an increase of 931 tickets distributed since the previous update a week earlier, showing very strong late demand.

How big is the crowd compared to other WWE shows?

The same WrestleTix report lists WWE’s 2025 year to date average attendance at around 11,259, meaning Cena’s farewell is tracking thousands above a typical show.

For extra context, a February 2025 episode of SmackDown in the same building drew 12,789 fans, so WWE has already comfortably surpassed that with 16,483 tickets out and more seats opened on the map as demand has grown.

Primary market availability at Capital One Arena

On the venue’s official listing, WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event for 13 December 2025 at 7:30pm local time is still marked as “On Sale Now”, which confirms that a limited number of primary tickets remain.

However, with fewer than 800 standard tickets left in the current configuration, fans can expect mostly single seats, upper level sections or seats with less than perfect views. WWE and the building have already expanded the setup over time, moving from just over 16,000 configured seats to more than 17,000 as sales have climbed.

Resale prices and the cheapest way in

WrestleTix also tracks the secondary market and notes around 1,187 tickets available via resale, with the cheapest standard admission ticket recently dropping to about $262.25, down from $342.60.

Major resale platforms like SeatGeek, TickPick and others show high demand listings for the event, with lower bowl and floor seats commanding premium prices and even upper level tickets now sitting well above original face value.

Will WWE SNME eventually sell out?

Based on the current pace of sales, the shrinking number of primary tickets and heavy promotion on WWE TV in the final week before the show, it is reasonable to expect either a full sell out or a near sell out by bell time. For now, though, the answer to the key question is clear:

No, WWE SNME December 2025 has not fully sold out yet, but only a small number of primary tickets remain and prices on the resale market are already surging.

If you are still hoping to be in the building for John Cena’s final match, you are very much in last minute territory.

Oba Femi to Cody Rhodes following NXT Deadline: ‘Change always wins’

Oba Femi wants Cody Rhodes to know that “the biggest factor is change.”

Femi defeated Ricky Saints to regain the NXT Championship at Deadline on Saturday. The win also earned him the opportunity to wrestle WWE Champion Cody Rhodes at Saturday Night’s Main Event next week.

On Sunday, WWE posted footage of Femi following NXT Deadline. In the video, Femi says:

“The biggest factor is change. Change came knocking at the door of Ricky Saints tonight and it asked for his title, and he had no choice but to relinquish because change always wins.”

When change met the dinosaurs, he sent the meteor. When change met man in the Old Testament, he sent the flood. And when change comes to the main roster asking for Cody Rhodes, he will send the ruler, the destroyer, the bringer of war, Oba Femi!”

With his win over Saints at Deadline, Femi became the eighth wrestler to win the NXT Championship multiple times. It was the 35th time the title has changed hands. Saints’ title reign ends after 70 days following his win over Femi at No Mercy. He had two successful title defenses on WWE programming during his reign, both against Trick Williams. He also defended the title several times at NXT live events.

After weeks of buildup, John Cena is now finally set to close his chapter against Gunther.

In the main event of the December 5th edition of SmackDown, Gunther defeated LA Knight in the finals of the Last Time Is Now tournament. The former World Heavyweight Champion has now secured the opportunity to be Cena’s final opponent.

In a tournament lasting over multiple weeks and featuring several pro-wrestlers, Gunther maintained his dominance and defeated several top names to earn his spot. Despite LA Knight’s resilience, he ultimately could not withstand Gunther’s power and was forced to tap out.

In a week, fans from across the globe will witness Cena face Gunther at the Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C before he hangs up his boots.

Following the conclusion of the match, Gunther issued a warning to Cena, “Hey John [Cena]! I hope you paid attention. At Saturday Night’s Main Event you finally and definitely will give up. You’re gonna tap out.”

The December 13th edition of Saturday Night’s Main Event will also showcase multiple other matches.

More on WWE vs. NXT matches set for Saturday Night’s Main Event

More on John Cena’s announcement from Monday’s Raw.

Prior to his Intercontinental title win on Raw, Cena announced that on the December 13 edition of Saturday Night’s Main Event, WWE main roster stars will face off against NXT stars in a series of exhibition matches. According to Bryan Alvarez, that was an idea proposed by Cena himself.

“NXT wrestlers getting matches on SNME was a John Cena call, he loved his time at the WWE Performance Center,” Alvarez writes.

Last month, Cena not only visited the Performance Center once, but twice. After his second visit, he took time to thank those training at the PC for sharing their perspective on the business.

“Being coachable can open our minds to learn. Thank you to all the superstars at the WWE PC for sharing with me different perspectives of our business,” he wrote. “I spent the week digesting their feedback & was grateful to be able to return today for another chance to learn & share wisdom.”

Cena’s last match will headline the December 13 show in Washington, D.C.. He will face a winner of a tournament that kicked off on Monday’s Raw, with Rusev and Sheamus advancing out of the first round.

Exhibition matches between WWE & NXT talent set for next Saturday Night’s Main Event

NXT talent will take on WWE stars next month.

At the start of Monday’s Raw, John Cena revealed that the Saturday Night’s Main Event card on December 13 will feature exhibition matches between WWE and NXT talent, framing it as a way of saying thank you to the fans and giving NXT wrestlers an opportunity to shine.

“December 13 is about closing one chapter but also it is about paving the way to the road ahead. And that’s what I want for this tour,” he said.

After the announcement was made, Dominik Mysterio came out and mocked Cena, saying he was better than him and could have whooped him at any time in history. Triple H, who introduced Cena to his hometown Boston crowd, made an impromptu title match right then and there. Cena overcame the odds and pinned Mysterio with the AA to win the title for the first time.

December’s Saturday Night’s Main Event will be headlined by Cena facing the winner of a tournament that started on Monday’s Raw. Rusev became the first to advance, defeating Damian Priest.

Jey Uso reacts following WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event

Jey Uso was visibly frustrated following WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event.

In the final match of the November 1st edition of Saturday Night’s Main Event, CM Punk defeated Uso to crown himself the new World Heavyweight Champion. However, while Punk celebrated his win backstage, Uso was left behind in a sour mood. Post-show fan footage soon emerged, capturing the 40-year-old visibly irate at the match’s result.

The now-viral video showed Uso sitting at ringside, reflecting on his loss and aggressively removing his kneepads. While his anger could be open to interpretation, he later uploaded a cryptic Instagram story that read, “Yall win” accompanied by a middle-finger emoji.

The former World Champion has been displaying heel tendencies for some months now and tonight’s failure could act as the final nail in the coffin. Jey Uso had also recently opened up about going back to his Bloodline ways.

WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event results

Tonight’s edition of Saturday Night’s Main Event began with Cody Rhodes’ title defense over Drew McIntyre and concluded with Punk’s World title win. The show also featured Jade Cargill’s championship victory and Dominik Mysterio’s positive run.

John Cena reveals The Last Time Is Now tournament to determine final opponent

John Cena’s final opponent will be determined in the coming weeks.

In a taped segment during Saturday Night’s Main Event, Cena announced that a 16-man tournament will begin one week from Monday on Raw. It will feature wrestlers from Raw, SmackDown, and NXT. Cena even hinted that some of the participants may not even work in WWE.

Whoever wins the tournament will move on to face Cena on the Saturday Night’s Main Event that will take place on December 13 in Washington D.C.. This has been confirmed as Cena’s final match before officially retiring, ending his year-long retirement tour.

Dave Meltzer reported last month that Gunther is likely to be John Cena’s final opponent, mentioning that he would be winning the tournament. The Ring General hasn’t been on television since SummerSlam, losing to CM Punk in a match for the World Heavyweight Championship.

It was further reported that the Intercontinental title could be on the line during Cena’s final match, as it was recently reported in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that there have been discussions about Cena winning the title at Survivor Series against current champion Dominik Mysterio.

WWE reveals date & location for January edition of Saturday Night’s Main Event

Saturday Night’s Main Event is headed to Montreal.

WWE announced on Saturday that their Peacock streaming event is heading to Montreal on January 24 at the Bell Center, one day after SmackDown is held at the same arena. Combo tickets will go on sale this coming Friday.

This will be the third consecutive month in a row that a Saturday Night’s Main Event is set to be held. In addition to tonight’s program, another will be held on December 13 in Washington, DC. That show will serve as the location for John Cena’s last match. It was announced on Saturday that a tournament will be held to determine Cena’s final opponent, starting one week from Monday.

WWE last held an event in Montreal back on August 8 for an episode of SmackDown. That featured Cody Rhodes & John Cena teaming together to defeat Drew McIntyre and Logan Paul by disqualification. The show ended with McIntyre giving Rhodes a Claymore through a table, beginning their feud that has continued through Saturday, where Rhodes defeated McIntyre in a match where he could lose the WWE title by DQ or count out.

It’s the Saturday edition of Wrestling Observer Live with Jim Valley.

Drew McIntyre stood tall over Cody Rhodes to end their SNME contract signing on Friday’s WWE SmackDown.

The story for tonight is “Drew is in Cody’s head.” Didn’t Kevin Owens play mind games with Cody, too?

KO and Drew are very similar characters: heels who tell the truth and seemingly challenge for the WWE Title at least once a year. Are Drew and Owens pretty much the same character?

Plus, Jim talks the NJPW Super Junior Tag League, CMLL, AEW Collision, WWE Universe vs. The Sickos, Mike Rotunda and more.
