Ripley had been sidelined from ring action since the June 6 Raw episode after suffering a possible concussion and a dental injury.

Ripley and her Judgment Day stablemates Finn Balor and Damian Priest interrupted a celebration for Rey Mysterio’s 20th anniversary in WWE in a backstage segment, and Ripley shoved away Rey’s daughter Aalyah, then stomped on Rey after he had been jumped by Balor and Priest.

Earlier in the show, Priest and Balor lost a tag team match to Rey and Dominik. After the backstage attack, a no disqualification match with Rey and Dominik vs. Balor and Priest was added to Saturday’s SummerSlam lineup.

Prior to her injuries, Ripley had been scheduled to challenge Bianca Belair for the Raw Women’s Championship at June’s Money in the Bank event, but ended up replaced in the match by Carmella.

Women’s title rematch, Rey Mysterio vs. Finn Balor added to WWE Raw

A Women’s Championship rematch is set to take place on tonight’s episode of Raw.

WWE has announced that Bianca Belair will defend her Raw Women’s Championship against Carmella on Raw tonight. It’s a rematch from Money in the Bank, where Belair retained her title but was then attacked by Carmella after the match.

Belair and new SmackDown Women’s Champion Liv Morgan teamed together to defeat Carmella & Natalya on Raw last week. The match was made after Belair saved Morgan from a beatdown by Carmella and Natalya.

Rey Mysterio vs. Finn Balor has also been announced for tonight’s Raw. In the Mysterios’ hometown of San Diego, Rey & Dominik Mysterio defeated Balor & Damian Priest by disqualification last Monday. Rey took a page out of the late Eddie Guerrero’s playbook by faking that he had been hit with a chair by Balor.

Balor and Priest attacked Rey and Dominik backstage after their match last week.

This will be the first-ever one-on-one match between Rey and Balor.

Raw is being held in San Antonio, Texas tonight and will feature an appearance by Brock Lesnar. Lesnar is challenging Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship in a Last Man Standing match at SummerSlam later this month.

A Bobby Lashley United States title open challenge and Riddle vs. Theory were previously announced for tonight’s Raw but are no longer being advertised on WWE.com.

In a bout set up in a backstage promo segment on this week’s episode, The Judgment Day’s Finn Balor and Damian Priest will face Rey Mysterio and Dominik Mysterio.

Balor and Priest approached The Mysterios backstage on Raw, and Balor noted that Rey would soon be celebrating his 20th anniversary in WWE, much as John Cena did on tonight’s show. Balor said that Rey was not teaching Dominik how to be successful, and Priest offered that Dominik needed a better father. Rey then issued a challenge for next week’s Raw in San Diego.

The two teams faced off on last week’s episode of WWE Main Event, with Rey and Dominik taking the win by disqualification.

Update on why Rey Mysterio missed WWE Raw

On Wrestling Observer Radio overnight, Dave Meltzer gave an update on why Rey Mysterio missed last night’s episode of WWE Raw.

Mysterio was supposed to face Veer Mahaan on Raw last night, but the match was changed to Mahaan vs. Rey’s son Dominik. Rey didn’t appear on the episode.

Meltzer said on WOR that a medical issue was the reason Mysterio wasn’t on the show.

“He’s a medical issue,” Meltzer said. “It’s not false advertising or they changed their mind. It was he was unavailable tonight. So they put Dominik in the place and Dominik just got destroyed. So, they could probably do Rey in a week or two.”

Mahaan submitted Dominik with a Cervical Clutch in their match. Following the match, there was an angle where Mahaan put the hold on Dominik two more times. Dominik was stretchered out as part of the angle.

After weeks of hype videos, Mahaan arrived on Raw last week by attacking Rey and Dominik.

Rey vs. Mahaan wasn’t the only announced match that couldn’t take place on last night’s Raw. Rhea Ripley & Liv Morgan were scheduled to challenge Sasha Banks & Naomi for the Women’s Tag Team titles, but Ripley wasn’t on the show due to being “in protocol.” Naomi instead defeated Morgan in a singles match.

Banks & Naomi vs. Ripley & Morgan for the Women’s Tag Team titles will take place on Raw next week.

Rey and Dominik Mysterio appear on WWE NXT

Rey and Dominik Mysterio appeared on tonight’s NXT, with Dominik competing in a match.

The Mysterios first appeared in a backstage segment, walking up to Legado Del Fantasma during an interview. Santos Escobar said that he would be the one that would break all of Rey’s records. Rey disagreed, saying it would be Dominik who would break his records. The two groups argued until Dominik challenged anyone from Legado Del Fantasma to a match.

Later, Raul Mendoza and Dominik had a match, with Dominik winning after a 619 and a frog splash.

Rey and Dominik Mysterio are set to face Logan Paul and The Miz on Saturday, April 2 at WrestleMania 38. The Miz appeared in the opening segment of the show, hosting Miz TV with special guest Dolph Ziggler. The interview was interrupted by LA Knight, who challenged Dolph Ziggler to a NXT title match on tonight’s show. Ziggler agreed, eventually defeating Knight following a superkick.

The Mysterios vs. Miz & Logan Paul official for WWE WrestleMania 38 night one

Logan Paul’s in-ring debut is officially set to take place on night one of WrestleMania 38.

WWE has announced that Rey & Dominik Mysterio vs. The Miz & Paul will be part of the card for WrestleMania 38 night one. AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas is hosting the two-night event on Saturday, April 2 and Sunday, April 3.

The social media and celebrity boxing star Paul was revealed as Miz’s WrestleMania partner on last week’s episode of Raw. After losing to Rey Mysterio on the Elimination Chamber pre-show, Miz teased that he would be finding a partner who is a “global superstar” to team with against Rey & Dominik.

Miz and Paul beat down The Mysterios during a Miz TV segment last Monday:

Logan Paul to make in-ring debut in WWE WrestleMania 38 tag match

Logan Paul is set to make his in-ring debut in WWE at WrestleMania 38.

In a segment on tonight’s episode of Raw, The Miz introduced the social media star Paul as his new tag team partner in his vendetta against The Mysterios. Rey Mysterio and Dominik Mysterio stated that if Paul was The Miz’s partner, they accept the challenge for a match at WrestleMania 38.

Paul made a series of WWE appearances in the build to WrestleMania 37, then seconded Sami Zayn in his match against Kevin Owens at the event. Owens hit Paul with a stunner. Paul would return to WWE programming last August, appearing in a segment with Miz and John Morrison. In a Raw appearance last September, Paul aligned with Happy Corbin in another segment with Owens.

WrestleMania 38 is set for Saturday, April 2 and Sunday, April 3 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. The show will air on Peacock and WWE Network.

The WrestleMania 38 lineup so far:

Report: Logan Paul planned to be Miz’s WWE tag team partner against Mysterios

During a backstage interview at today’s Elimination Chamber pay-per-view, The Miz teased that he had someone in mind to team with against Rey & Dominik Mysterio.

It appears that the identity of that tag team partner has been revealed, with PWInsider reporting that the word backstage at Elimination Chamber was that the current plan is for Miz’s partner to be YouTube and celebrity boxing star Logan Paul, potentially for WrestleMania 38 this April.

If Paul is involved with WrestleMania 38, it would be the second straight year he’s appeared at the event. He was given a stunner by Kevin Owens at WrestleMania 37 last year.

Paul also appeared on an episode of Raw last August and took part in a talk show segment with The Miz and John Morrison.

Rey Mysterio defeated Miz in a match on the Elimination Chamber pre-show today. Dominik was in his father’s corner and got involved in the match, including stopping Miz from using a steel chair. Miz attacked Rey after the match but was then laid out by both Mysterios. They gave Miz a double 619, then Dominik and Rey both hit frog splashes on Miz.

Miz claimed during his interview later in the show that Rey cheated his way to a victory with Dominik’s help. Miz said he’d find a way to even the odds and would find a partner who is a superlative athlete, has similar handsome features, and is a global superstar. Miz said he had someone in mind and had to go make a phone call.

Rey Mysterio vs. The Miz announced for WWE Elimination Chamber

Rey Mysterio vs. The Miz has been added to Saturday’s WWE Elimination Chamber event.

The match was made official during tonight’s WWE Raw episode. After trading wins with Dominik Mysterio in recent weeks, The Miz used a distraction to allow Alpha Academy’s Chad Gable to pin Dominik on Raw in a Alpha Academy vs. The Mysterios tag team bout.

After the match, The Miz left Rey laying with his Skull-crushing Finale finisher.

Eight matches have been announced for Saturday’s event in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
