Paul Heyman out ‘indefinitely’ following WWE Raw attack angle

Paul Heyman won’t be on Raw anytime soon.

During Monday’s show, Michael Cole explained that Heyman suffered a cervical spine contusion, facial lacerations, and a deviated septum following Rollins’ attack last week and as a result was out indefinitely due to his injuries.

Last week’s Raw saw Heyman come out and run down Rollins, who made his return at the Elimination Chamber to cost Logan Paul the match. Rollins continued the masked man gimmick by having several hooded figures distract Paul and Austin Theory, who left the ring to chase them away. But that left Heyman wide open for Rollins to emerge with a steel chair, striking Heyman in the back. Rollins then gave his former mentor the stomp.

Later backstage, a bloodied Heyman was put in an ambulance. Unfortunately for him, it was being driven by none other than LA Knight, who sped off with Heyman into the night.

On Monday, Adam Pearce tried to talk to Seth Rollins but was interrupted by Paul and Theory, who wanted to take out Rollins. But before they could, an army of Rollins’ masked men swarmed the ring to guard him. Rollins then put his mask back on as the masked men ran around the ring to disguise Rollins’ whereabouts, allowing him to escape.

Seth Rollins attacks Paul Heyman on WWE Raw

Seth Rollins emerged yet again on Raw, this time taking out Paul Heyman.

After a series of masked men lured away Austin Theory and Logan Paul, Rollins entered the ring with a steel chair as another masked man appeared on the ramp to taunt Heyman. The distraction allowed Rollins to hit Heyman with the chair, then gave him the stomp for good measure.

The Vision came out to open Raw as Paul Heyman started to go off on Rollins, saying he hated his song and accused him of stealing the WrestleMania main event from Logan Paul. After Theory cut a promo, Heyman called out Rollins but got Adam Pearce, who accused them of taking out Jey Uso and said he wanted to talk with Rollins, but not with The Vision around as Rollins was still not medically cleared. That was when the masked men arrived to play mind games with Heyman’s stable.

Later backstage, Heyman was being placed in an ambulance as Paul went to get the car. That left Theory to be jumped by Jimmy Uso as LA Knight was revealed to the driver of the ambulance, apparently kidnapping Heyman.

After being off TV since October, Rollins returned at Saturday’s Elimination Chamber, stomping Paul and costing him the WWE title match at WrestleMania.

Penta reacts to Paul Heyman praise: ‘I feel so proud’

Having Paul Heyman think so highly of him is a huge honor for Penta.

On the second season of “WWE: Unreal,” there was a clip where Heyman spoke to the writers’ room about how special of a performer Penta is. Heyman pointed out that Penta wasn’t only getting a pop when he made his entrance — the fans cared about him throughout the match and stayed invested when he was selling and making a comeback.

The Sportster spoke with Penta at WWE 2K26 Creator Fest recently and asked what it felt like to hear that praise from Heyman.

“Bro, to be honest with you, Paul Heyman means everything about this sport. He knows everything you need to become a big star and everything,” Penta responded. “So I say ‘thank you’ for the speech about Penta. I feel so proud about me. I feel so proud about all my people, all my fans. And I start work, man. I keep going hard at work.”

After debuting for WWE in January 2025, Penta has now been with the company for more than a year. He defeated El Grande Americano (Ludwig Kaiser) in a number one contender’s match on Raw this week and will now challenge Dominik Mysterio for the Intercontinental title next Monday (March 2). If Penta wins, it will be the first title he’s held in WWE.

Paul Heyman compares Austin Theory to WWE Hall of Famer

Paul Heyman is setting the bar high for Austin Theory.

In an interview with Busted Open, Heyman compared the newest member of The Vision to one of the biggest stars in WWE history, noting that he had the size and discipline to become a major player.

“He’s Shawn Michaels when Shawn Michaels was in The Rockers,” he declared. “My apologies to Austin Theory if that’s too low of a bar to set for him. Why not? Why not. If that kid can’t figure out the things that he’s doing wrong and accentuate the things that he’s already doing right then please tell me who can. What doesn’t he have? He has decent size and he’s only getting bigger. He has tremendous discipline, he’s not one of these guys that is out all night in Europe at the eurotrash rave in Paris at 4:30 in the morning, he’s in the gym at 4:30 in the morning and he’s back in the gym as soon as the matches are over.”

Heyman went as far to say that if Theory was able to get everything together, he would be ‘untouchable.’

“He’s highly intelligent. He speaks to the youth. He looks great and can work his balls off,” he added. “So once he figures out the difference between a really good match and a money match, once he understands that being out of character while in character and relaxing within the skin of that character, Austin Theory is going to be untouchable.”

Theory was introduced as the newest member of The Vision at the end of last year after aiding the group at Survivor Series, helping them win their War Games match. In the months since, he has regularly teamed with stablemates Bronson Reed and Logan Paul.

Paul Heyman feels WWE has something ‘really special’ with Penta

Paul Heyman is a big fan of Penta.

On episode three of the second season of WWE: Unreal that heavily focused on the Mexican star, Heyman was shown in one of the writers’ rooms in Stamford, Connecticut, talking to some of the creative team one week after the 2025 Money in the Bank.

Heyman then delivered some thoughts on Penta to the team in the room.

“I know we said this in advance. I know we said this once he debuted, but we got something with this f**king Penta. Here are two things over time that you learn. You listen to the star pop when they come out, but you understand it’s just a star pop. In the match, when they’re selling and they start to come up, what’s the reaction?

Because that’s when they have to care about you to make your comeback. It’s those 30 seconds, and you’re selling, and you’re coming up, it’s like, ‘Goddammit, I need to do this. I need to’ and they rally behind you. Penta is over like a motherf*cker.”

Penta was part of the men’s MITB ladder match that night, but was unsuccessful as Seth Rollins picked up the victory.

“When (Penta) made that move for the ladder, they wanted him to win so bad,” he said, later reiterating “I’m telling you: we’ve got something really special with him.”

Details on WWE creative roles of Paul Heyman, William Regal, Nick Khan, and more

Dave Meltzer provided an update on WWE’s creative structure in this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter.

Last week, a mild restructuring of WWE’s creative team took place, with Ryan Ward receiving a small promotion while SmackDown co-head writers John Swikata and Brian “Road Dogg” James took minor step-downs.

In Friday’s edition of the newsletter, Meltzer went into further detail regarding the roles of William Regal, Michael Hayes, Nick Khan, Paul Heyman, and others within the company.

Meltzer wrote:

“William Regal’s role isn’t really creative. His role is to critique the style and believability of the matches during the shows. Michael Hayes is a day of the show producer and is part f the creative on the biggest shows. Paul Heyman is involved with the long-term discussions as well as being hands on with the creative of his people which include The Vision, Lesnar and Reigns.

Nick Khan, even though it’s denied publicly, also has a voice when it comes to creative, but the only one he deals with is Paul Levesque and doesn’t directly deal with the creative team.”

The full edition of today’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter is available for subscribers here.

The recent creative change comes on the heels of WWE SmackDown moving back to a three-hour format beginning with the January 2 episode. In 2025, SmackDown ran as a three-hour show from the beginning of the year until July before reverting to two hours for the remainder of the year. Bryan Alvarez noted on an episode of The Bryan and Vinny Show that the show would likely follow a similar format in 2026.

Report: ‘No real heat’ on Paul Heyman for shoving fan at WWE Survivor Series

There is reportedly “no real heat” on Paul Heyman for a fan incident he was involved in at WWE Survivor Series: WarGames.

Following Saturday’s PLE, a video has gone viral on social media showing Heyman shoving a young fan out of the way at Petco Park in San Diego. Heyman and Logan Paul are surrounded by security in the video, but the fan is able to get through them and reach Heyman before Heyman shoves him out of the way. Fightful Select reports that, within WWE, there is no real heat on Heyman over what happened — with security considered more at fault for letting the fan get to Heyman in the first place.

“I’m told by WWE sources there was no real heat on Paul Heyman pushing a child out of his way at Survivor Series,” the report said. “There was more heat on security for allowing anyone to get to him.”

Heyman was the manager of the winning team in the men’s WarGames match at Survivor Series. The heel group of Bron Breakker, Bronson Reed, Logan Paul, Drew McIntyre & Brock Lesnar defeated CM Punk, Cody Rhodes, Roman Reigns & The Usos in the main event of the show. A hooded figure — who appears to be the returning Austin Theory — helped the heel side get the win.

Before Survivor Series, Heyman stated that the PLE would be an “infomercial” for WrestleMania season. Rhodes vs. Reigns and Punk vs. Breakker appear to be the WrestleMania directions going forward.

Mystery man appears during men’s WWE Survivor Series WarGames match

A mystery man pantomiming Seth Rollins’ moves helped The Vision-led team to victory in the men’s WarGames match at Saturday’s WWE Survivor Series.

CM Punk had hit a GTS on Logan Paul for a nearfall when a masked man completely clad in black scaled the cage and stared at Punk before hitting a superkick and a stomp before escaping. Bron Breakker then hit his running spear on Punk to get the pin and win.

The commentary team speculated it looked like Rollins with Wade Barrett noting Rollins just had shoulder surgery but that Paul Heyman always has a plan.

Punk teamed with Roman Reigns, Jey & Jimmy Uso, Cody Rhodes against Paul, Breakker, Bronson Reed, Brock Lesnar and Drew McIntyre.

The PLE ended with an annoyed looking Reigns walking away from a Rhodes handshake attempt and a half-hearted fist bump with Punk. Reigns has made it clear recently he wants another World title reign.

WarGames match highlights:

  • The match featured blood as Punk was busted open by McIntyre and Breakker after being thrown into the cage with Rhodes later bleeding as well.
  • Breakker landed right on the top of his head off a Doomsday Device by Punk and Rhodes. He was out of action for several minutes until getting back in the mix.
  • There was some Punk/Rhodes tension after an accidental back elbow early in the match. The duo smoothed things over later with some Dusty Rhodes-inspired combo offense.
  • Heyman gave Paul some brass knucks which Reigns eventually got ahold of to knockout McIntyre and Reed before he went heads-up against Breakker.
  • In what will be a talked about spot, Jey Uso temporarily halted proceedings during the match to “run it back” and do his Yeet entrance. That was stopped shortly after when Lesnar made his entrance.
  • Lesnar came out of the cage as Reigns made his entrance. Reigns landed three Superman punches but on his fourth, Lesnar caught him and put him through an announce table with an F5. Lesnar rammed him into the cage and threw him in to officially start the match.

WarGames entrance order:

  1. CM Punk/Bron Breakker
  2. Drew McIntyre
  3. Cody Rhodes
  4. Logan Paul
  5. Jimmy Uso
  6. Bronson Reed
  7. Jey Uso
  8. Brock Lesnar
  9. Roman Reigns

Paul Heyman reacts to Brock Lesnar WWE Raw slip

On ESPN’s First Take this morning, Paul Heyman reacted to an embarrassing moment Brock Lesnar had on WWE Raw.

Lesnar slipped and fell while making his entrance in the show-closing angle of Raw this Monday. He was able to pop right back up after the fall and laugh at himself, but the moment still went viral across social media.

Heyman played off the slip, claiming that there was water on the entrance ramp. He said everyone fumbles at some point, but what’s important is how you react to it.

“Actually, I think it is a GOAT [Greatest of All Time] move. And the reason why I think it is a GOAT move is because we all fumble at some point in the game,” Heyman told First Take. “We all do. There’s no such thing as someone who doesn’t fumble in life. Brock Lesnar turned a fumble into a touchdown just like that. He is The Beast. There’s no one like him. He’s one of one. Look at that, boom. There was water on the entranceway. Slips, falls, rolls through, comes up, and there he is smiling and coming down to the ring for war. Who else could do that but Brock Lesnar?”

Lesnar will be in action as part of the men’s WarGames match at Survivor Series in San Diego this Saturday (November 29). It will be Lesnar, Bron Breakker, Bronson Reed, Logan Paul & Drew McIntyre vs. CM Punk, Cody Rhodes, Roman Reigns & The Usos.

Heyman — the manager for the heel side — hyped that this is the greatest assembly of talent to ever compete in WarGames. He also called Survivor Series an “infomercial” for WrestleMania 42 season.

“We have to top all the previous WarGames. But, also, this is really an infomercial for WrestleMania,” Heyman said. “Because as you must know by now, there’s such publicity push out there, that the individual tickets for WrestleMania Saturday [and] WrestleMania Sunday go on sale on Black Friday, on this Friday.

“So we are out there just showing the world, ‘Hey, check out this spectacle. Check out what WWE is about.’ And our biggest show of the year, WrestleMania individual tickets going on sale. This is our audition for the world to come to Vegas for WrestleMania — at the same time giving the most bang for the buck in the greatest WarGames of all time.”

February 11, 2008 Observer Newsletter: Brock Lesnar’s first UFC fight, Paul Heyman resurfaces

Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira was trying to become the first man in history to be a world champion in both Pride and UFC. Tim Sylvia was trying to become the first man other than Randy Couture to win three major league world championships in MMA history.

And before the show, almost nobody cared.

UFC 81 was built around the debut of Brock Lesnar, who steam rolled Frank Mir for about 80 seconds, including knocking Mir down with a jab and taking him down at will, but showed his inexperience, getting bear trapped into a kneebar, that with more experience he could have rolled out of, and tapped out at 1:30.

Nogueira, who by record should be considered the second greatest heavyweight fighter of all-time, also took a pounding, but on a night that jiu jitsu ruled, he swept Sylvia on the ground and caught him with a guillotine for the tap out in 1:28 of the third round.

Update on shocking WWE Raw show-closing angle

More on the shocking conclusion of Monday’s Raw.

In Monday’s Daily Update, Dave Meltzer wrote more about the show-closing angle that saw Bron Breakker, Bronson Reed, and Paul Heyman turn against Seth Rollins, laying him out with spears and tsunamis. Meltzer wrote that this was a sudden change in plans, and Rollins may have been hurt following his match against Cody Rhodes at Crown Jewel on Saturday.

“Obviously the big topic of discussion was the angle at the end of Raw tonight. Given it’s a long trip home from Australia and everyone is en route right now, we probably won’t have anything definitive until tomorrow or Wednesday,” he wrote. “We do know that people are being told. Seth Rollins did have his arm in a sling before Raw and there are reports of a shoulder injury from the match with Cody Rhodes, but we don’t have them confirmed. Whether that changed the booking due to the injury or the booking changed based on a hot shot angle because most likely Raw today with its early start time would have done the lowest rating in the show’s history so they wanted something to make people tune in, that could be the case. We were told yesterday that the ratings were very much an issue but if there’s a legit injury, obviously that would require a lot of changes in plans.”

According to Meltzter, the unit was set to continue together at least through WrestleMania, adding Austin Theory as another new member along the way. As far as Rollins’ injury goes, it was said it was from the Crown Jewel match, but some are skeptical as it was said that Rollins’ injury earlier this year was also real, only for it to be an angle.

“One source with knowledge of creative said The Vision were booked for plans together through WrestleMania including with Austin Theory joining the group before things changed today,” he wrote. “They were told it was from an injury in the match with Cody Rhodes. But after being told his other injury was legit, many are not fully believing anything right now. In the attempt to work everyone, the belief in what those are being told, and there are multiple cases of this in recent months (the Rollins SNME injury being the one that really cost credibility with several in the room) the lack of trust right now is pretty high.”

The group had formed following the events of WrestleMania 41, when Heyman turned his back on Roman Reigns and CM Punk to align himself with Rollins, who soon added Reed and Breakker to their side.

Update on Seth Rollins after WWE Raw angle

The wrestling world is back on Seth Rollins injury watch after the big angle that closed Monday’s Crown Jewel fallout edition of WWE Raw.

At the end of the episode, the rest of The Vision betrayed its leader, attacking Rollins and kicking him out of the group. The turn started with Bron Breakker laying out Rollins with a spear. Bronson Reed then decided to join in on the attack as well, with Paul Heyman looking shocked at what went down. The final shot of the episode was Breakker, Reed, and Heyman posing over a fallen Rollins.

Now, a photo posted to social media has fans questioning if Rollins is dealing with an injury that contributed to WWE’s decision to have this angle happen now. The photo — which was posted by a fan and was taken between Crown Jewel: Perth and Raw — shows Rollins with his arm in a sling.

Rollins defeated Cody Rhodes at Saturday’s PLE to become the men’s Crown Jewel Champion for 2025. There was a coast-to-coast spot during the match where Rollins looked like he could have been hurt. On the PLE post-show, Rollins called it a rough landing and said there could be long-term ramifications.

Of course, any injury to Rollins will have fans questioning whether it’s actually legitimate after the ruse he and WWE attempted to pull off at SummerSlam, where Rollins cashed in his Money in the Bank briefcase to win the World Heavyweight Championship after weeks of faking a knee injury.

CM Punk is the new number one contender to the World Heavyweight Championship after winning a triple threat match in the main event of Raw today. WWE hasn’t announced a date for when he’ll challenge Rollins, but the match has been expected to headline Saturday Night’s Main Event on November 1.

Breakker also has his eyes on the World Heavyweight Championship, posing with the belt as Raw ended and then taking it with him after the show went off the air.

Huge betrayal takes place on WWE Raw

A huge angle closed Monday’s Crown Jewel fallout edition of WWE Raw.

The Raw roster has been shaken up with The Vision splitting away from its former leader Seth Rollins. The final shot of the episode was Bron Breakker, Bronson Reed, and a shocked Paul Heyman standing over a decimated Rollins as Breakker held Rollins’ World Heavyweight Championship belt in the air.

It was Breakker who started the betrayal, taking out Rollins with a spear after The Vision laid out CM Punk following the main event. After a brief discussion with Breakker, Reed then opted to join in on the attack, giving Rollins a Tsunami from the top rope. It didn’t seem like Heyman knew any of this was going to happen, but he went along with it while posing with Breakker and Reed.

The Vision first formed when Heyman aligned with Rollins at WrestleMania 41 this April. Breakker was an immediate addition to the group with Reed being added later.

While the timing of the betrayal was shocking, there were seeds planted that this was coming — including Rollins saying in a promo on Raw that he did not need Breakker, Reed, or Heyman. Rollins said he was capable of doing everything on his own and his alliance with The Vision was by choice, not necessity.

Rollins is coming off a victory over Cody Rhodes at Crown Jewel: Perth over the weekend where he was celebrated as the men’s Crown Jewel Champion for 2025.Though Breakker has his eyes on the World Heavyweight Championship, Punk has earned a one-on-one shot against Rollins for the belt. A date for the Rollins vs. Punk title match has not been announced yet. It looks to be planned for WWE’s next Saturday Night’s Main Event special on November 1.

WWE Hall of Famer Paul Heyman responds to Braun Strowman insult

WWE Hall of Famer Paul Heyman has issued a response to a post from former WWE talent Braun Strowman where Strowman called him “Oswald Cobblepot.”

Strowman’s post on Monday came in response to a line from a Heyman promo on Monday’s Raw where Heyman said that no one but The Vision had ever forced Roman Reigns to do a stretcher job before.

Strowman posted an image of an angle where Reigns was stretchered out at the hands of Strowman, then Strowman tipped the stretcher over:

Strowman wrote: yea ok Oswald Cobblepot!!

Oswald Cobblepot is the name of The Penguin character in Batman lore and the HBO Max show The Penguin.

Heyman responded in an Instagram story on Wednesday writing:

Dear Mr. Strowman,

Your post was brought to my attention. I have nothing negative to say about you, nor to you sir.

In fact, I am actually relieved and indeed celebratory to learn you’re still alive, something most of us didn’t realize and even fewer cared about.

With Love and Respect,

Paul Heyman

The root of the social media beef between Heyman and Strowman may stem from the post-WrestleMania 41 edition of The Pat McAfee Show on ESPN where Heyman relayed a story that Strowman had approached him crying because he was not part of the WrestleMania card, with Heyman saying that he told Strowman “that he sucks” and that’s why he was left off the show.

Strowman’s WWE contract expired this past July as the company elected not to renew his deal, ending his second tenure with the company.

Paul Heyman’s Looking4Larry agency announces merger with MCM Studios

Paul Heyman’s Looking4Larry creative agency has announced a merger with MCM Studios.

Heyman founded Looking4Larry in 2006 with Mitchell Stuart. Located in New York, the company is a creative/marketing/branding/production agency. They’ve worked with companies such as Spotify, Pepsi, 2K Sports, EA Sports, and NASCAR.

MCM Studios is a post-production studio in Manhattan that has been operating for 20 years.

Heyman told the Hollywood Reporter that the merger will create a “end-to-end one-stop shopping” service for TV and film studios, content creators, and advertising agencies. He said the first project for the company will be to create “the biggest LED volume wall in all of New York.”

An LED Volume Wall is a virtual production stage consisting of high-resolution LED screens that allow filmmakers to shoot realistic-looking environments from a studio rather than on-location or with green screens.

“That’s the type of step that is necessary to build out a business in 2025, 2026, 2027 that is forward-thinking and tries to stay one step ahead of the curve of the constantly changing production needs, both from major studios and from independent content creators on low budgets,” Heyman said.

Heyman posted about the news on Instagram, writing:

“As first reported in an exclusive article in @HollywoodReporter, Looking4Larry has merged with @MCMcreative.productions to create an end-to-end one-stop-shopping production hub in New York City for major movie studios, streaming services, independent content-creators and everyone who fits somewhere in between those descriptions. Big stages, Bold ideas. This is where movements truly begin.”

Michael Canzoniero, CEO and creative director of MCM Studios, said to The Hollywood Reporter:

“Now, with the full array of superpowers that Paul Heyman and Looking4Larry bring, we’ve  assembled a world-class creative and production team — client-first professionals dedicated to delivering at the highest level.”
