Women’s Tag Team title rematch set for next WWE NXT

A rematch for the NXT Women’s Tag Team titles is set for next week’s NXT.

Kiana James & Fallon Henley will face Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn in a Stand & Deliver rematch for the Women’s Tag Team titles. On Tuesday’s show, Henley told Brooks Jensen that James had been cheating on him. James said they were never exclusive but realized when they kissed last week, that is what she wanted. She, however, was mad that Jensen didn’t help her cheat at Stand & Deliver. Jensen tried to get on James’ good side again, ignoring Henley’s and Josh Briggs’ pleas.

Ilja Dragunov was interrupted by Von Wagner on Tuesday’s show. Mr. Stone told Wagner that he would get him a match against Dragunov, but if Wagner can’t defeat him, he would walk away from their association with one another.

Duke Hudson will be honored by Chase U after he was the one who saved the school by scoring the pinfall over The Dyad during the Stand & Deliver pre-show. Cora Jade, who had been out of action for the last two months, will appear on the show as well. She made her return on Tuesday’s show by attacking NXT Women’s Champion Indi Hartwell.

Here is the current card for next week’s NXT:

  • NXT Women’s Tag Team titles: Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn vs. Kiana James and Fallon Henley
  • Ilja Dragunov vs. Von Wagner – if Wagner loses, Mr. Stone will walk away
  • Duke Hudson Chase U celebration
  • Cora Jade will be live

Alba Fyre & Isla Dawn win Women’s Tag titles at WWE NXT Stand & Deliver

NXT has new Women’s Tag Team Champions.

Isla Dawn and Alba Fyre defeated Kiana James and Fallon Henley Saturday afternoon at NXT Stand & Deliver to win the NXT Women’s Tag Team titles for the first time. The finish had James asking Brooks Jensen at ringside for her bag. Jensen debated whether or not he would use the bag, arguing with Henley and Josh Briggs. As James was distracted, she was hit with a backstabber/swanton combination, giving Dawn and Fyre the victory.

Henley and James’ reign ended after 56 days. They had defeated Kayden Carter and Katana Chance at NXT Vengeance Day back on February 4.

Henley and James have been embroiled in drama regarding James’ relationship with Jensen. Henley and Briggs found out after breaking into James’ office that she has been having an affair with someone named Sebastian. Henley has attempted to tell Jensen about the affair, but hasn’t been able to. On last week’s NXT, Henley confronted James and told her to tell Jensen about Sebastian. In the ring, James teased she was going to tell Jensen, but instead kissed him.

We interviewed Dawn & Fyre prior to Saturday’s title win. You can view that video below:

Women’s Tag Team title match added to WWE NXT Stand & Deliver

A Women’s Tag Team title match has been added to NXT Stand & Deliver.

Kiana James and Fallon Henley will defend the titles against Alba Fyre & Isla Dawn, who defeated Ivy Nile & Tatum Paxley and Katana Chance & Kayden Carter on Wednesday’s show to become the new number one contenders. Later in the show, Kiana James was attacked by Fyre and Dawn after she failed to qualify for the women’s title ladder match at Stand & Deliver.

In addition, a five-way match for the NXT North American title was added after Wes Lee’s open challenge on NXT went awry, causing a number of wrestlers to brawl around the ring. In a video posted by the NXT Anonymous Twitter account,  Lee demanded Shawn Michaels give him ten of the best NXT has to offer at Stand and Deliver. Micheals said he would give him four, making it a five-way match for Los Angeles.

After losing their NXT Tag Team title match earlier in the show, Pretty Deadly wondered in a backstage interview how they would get to Stand and Deliver. They eventually decided they would host the show.

Here is the updated lineup for NXT Stand and Deliver:

  • NXT Championship: Bron Breakker (c) vs. Carmelo Hayes
  • NXT Women’s title ladder match: Zoey Stark vs. Gigi Dolin vs. ???
  • NXT Women’s Tag Team titles: Kiana James & Fallon Henley vs. Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn

Kiana James & Fallon Henley win Women’s Tag Team titles at WWE NXT Vengeance Day

Kiana James and Fallon Henley are the new NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions.

James and Henley defeated Katana Chance and Kayden Carter at NXT Vengeance Day on Saturday. The finish had James push Chance off the top rope. Henley countered by hooking up Carter with her feet. James, from the outside, then held onto Carter’s feet as Carter was pinned, with Henley unaware of James’ assistance. Chance and Carter’s run with the titles ends after 186 days.

Henley and James have been feuding for the last several months, with James having an interest in Henley’s family bar. Henley defeated James in December to retain the rights to the bar. Since then, James has developed an interest in Henley’s friend, Brooks Jensen, with Henley being suspicious of their relationship.

Henley first teamed with James on the January 24 edition of NXT, defeating Tatum Paxley and Ivy Nile. James then told Henley she got them a Tag Team title match for Vengeance Day. Henley at first didn’t like the idea, as she agreed to team with James for one time only, but later decided to agree to the match.

Women’s Tag Team title match added to NXT Vengeance Day

Two new matches have been added to NXT Vengeance Day.

Kayden Carter and Katana Chance will defend the titles against Kiana James and Fallon Henley on February 4 in North Carolina. James and Henley were successful on Tuesday’s NXT, defeating Ivy Nile and Tatum Paxley. Later, it was revealed that Brooks Jensen got James and Henley a Tag Team title match. Henley at first didn’t like the idea of teaming with James again, but later confronted champions Carter and Chance, saying she thought about it and would see them at Vengeance Day.

A 2 out of 3 falls match between Carmelo Hayes and Apollo Crews has also been added to the card. Crews confronted Hayes and Trick Williams at their barber shop on Tuesday’s NXT. Crews laid down the 2 out of 3 falls challenge, with Hayes accepting.

A fourth team has been added to the three way at Vengance Day with The New Day, Pretty Deadly, and Gallus. A match on next week’s NXT between The Dyad, Edris Enofe & Malik Blade, and Andre Chase & Duke Hudson will determine the final spot.

Here is the updated lineup for Vengeance Day, which will take place at the Spectrum Center in Charlotte, North Carolina:

  • Steel Cage match for NXT Championship: Bron Breakker (c) vs. Grayson Waller
  • NXT Women’s title: Roxanne Perez (c) vs. Jacy Jayne vs. Gigi Dolin
  • NXT North American title: Wes Lee (c) vs. Dijak
  • NXT Tag Team titles: The New Day (c) vs. Gallus vs. Pretty Deadly vs. TBD
  • NXT Women’s Tag Team titles: Kayden Carter & Katana Chance (c) vs. Fallon Henley & Kiana James
  • 2 out of 3 falls: Apollo Crews vs. Carmelo Hayes

Four matches added to WWE NXT Worlds Collide

Four matches have been added to NXT Worlds Collide this Sunday.

Tuesday’s show ended with Ricochet promising to become a two-time North American Champion, challenging Carmelo Hayes. Other matches added include Kayden Carter & Katana Chance vs. Nikki A.S.H. and Doudrop for the NXT Women’s Tag Team titles, Nathan Frazer vs. Axiom in a best of three rounds match, and a four-way to unify the NXT Tag Team and NXT UK Tag Team titles with Gallus, The Creed Brothers, Briggs & Jensen, and Pretty Deadly squaring off.

Hayes ended Tuesday’s show annoyed he didn’t have an opponent for Worlds Collide. He said he wouldn’t wrestle on the show. Ricochet interrupted and promised to become a two-time champion.

Meanwhile, after Kayden Carter & Katana Chance defeated Ivy Nile & Tatum Paxley on Tuesday’s show, Nikki A.S.H. and Doudrop came out and challenged the two to a title match. Carter and Chance accepted,

Tuesday’s show also had Gallus defeating Diamond Mine in a match after Roderick Strong caused a distraction, leading Damon Kemp to be pinned. The two teams ended up brawling after the match, later being joined by Pretty Deadly, Briggs & Jensen, and the rest of the NXT locker room.

In a backstage promo, Frazer and Axiom were seen reading comic books. Frazer brought up how Axiom never wrestled in NXT UK as an inside joke, since Axiom wrestled in NXT UK under the name A-Kid. They eventually set up a best of three rounds match.

Here is the card so far for Worlds Collide, which takes place at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida on Sunday:

  • Bron Breakker vs. Tyler Bate for the NXT and NXT UK Championships
  • Mandy Rose vs. Meiko Satomura vs. Blair Davenport for the NXT and NXT UK Women’s Championships
  • Gallus vs. Diamond Mine vs. Briggs & Jensen vs. Pretty Deadly for the NXT and NXT UK Tag Team titles
  • Kayden Carter & Katana Chance vs. Nikki A.S.H. and Doudrop for the NXT Women’s Tag Team titles
  • Carmelo Hayes vs. Ricochet for the NXT North American title
  • Nathan Frazer vs. Axiom in a best of three rounds match

WWE NXT video highlights: New Women’s Tag Team Champions crowned

Last night’s NXT featured the crowning of new Women’s Tag Team Champions.

With the NXT Women’s Tag Team titles vacant following Cora Jade’s heel turn, a fatal four-way elimination match was held last night. Katana Chance & Kayden Carter defeated Toxic Attraction, Yulisa Leon & Valentina Feroz, and Ivy Nile & Tatum Paxley to become the new champs.

The match came down to Chance & Carter and Gigi Dolin & Jacy Jayne. Chance pinned Jayne to get the win after a double-team move where Carter hit a neckbreaker while Chance connected with a 450 splash.

For both Chance and Carter, this is their first title reign in WWE.

The men’s NXT Tag Team titles were also on the line last night. The Creed Brothers retained against Tony D’Angelo & Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo after Santos Escobar made his return, reuniting with Legado del Fantasma and costing the D’Angelo family the match.

Cora Jade & Roxanne Perez win NXT Women’s tag titles at Great American Bash

Cora Jade and Roxanne Perez are the new NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions.

Jade and Perez won the titles after Perez pinned Gigi Dolin with a code red. The finish had Mandy Rose interfere on behalf of her group. However, the referee threw her out. Cora Jade eventually took Jacey Jayne to the floor as Perez picked up the win.

This ends Dolin & Jayne’s run with the titles after over 90 days, defeating Raquel Rodriguez and Dakota Kai at the Stand & Deliver kickoff show back on April 2. Aside from Rodriguez and Kai’s short three-day reign as champions, Toxic Attraction had held the belts since October 26.

Jade and Perez have been feuding with Toxic Attraction since Perez won the NXT Breakout tournament, earning her a future shot at the NXT Women’s Championship. Perez, in the meantime, opted to challenge Dolin and Jayne for the Tag Team titles. Kayden Carter and Katana Chance argued they deserved a shot. The two teams ended up having a match for the number one contendership, with Jade and Perez emerging victorious.

Title change at NXT Great American Bash, Tegan Nox returns

Tegan Nox returned to NXT tonight at the Great American Bash, causing a distraction that helped crown new NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions.

Towards the end of the title match between The Way (Candice LeRae and Indi Hartwell) and the team of Zoey Stark and Io Shirai, the battery seen charging up in vignettes over the last several weeks hit 100%. Nox then appeared, causing a distraction for LeRae and Hartwell. Stark used the opportunity to lay out Hartwell and pin her to win the titles for her team.

LeRae and Hartwell had held the titles for 63 days, defeating Ember Moon and Shotzi Blackheart back on the May 4 edition of NXT.

Nox had been out of action since last August, when she injured her ACL. She underwent surgery the following month. It was the third time that she had injured her ACL since signing with WWE in 2017. On Monday, she wrestled Toni Storm in a dark match prior to Raw in her first match back since being injured.

WWE introduces NXT Women’s Tag Team titles

WWE has introduced NXT Women’s Tag Team titles — and there’s already been a title change.

The NXT Women’s Tag Team titles were introduced and awarded to Dakota Kai & Raquel Gonzalez on tonight’s NXT episode. Shotzi Blackheart & Ember Moon then defeated Kai & Gonzalez later in the night to become the new NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions.

As the winners of the inaugural women’s Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic, Kai & Gonzalez got a shot at Nia Jax & Shayna Baszler’s WWE Women’s Tag Team titles on NXT last week. The finish of the match saw WWE authority figure Adam Pearce get involved and help Jax & Baszler retain their titles. After a ref bump, Pearce came out to the ring with a Raw referee. And even though Kai wasn’t the legal person, the Raw referee called for the bell when she passed out in Baszler’s Kirifuda Clutch.

On NXT tonight, NXT general manager William Regal called last week’s WWE Women’s Tag Team title match an injustice. He then unveiled the NXT Women’s Tag Team titles and presented them to Kai & Gonzalez.

Kai said that she and Gonzalez dominated the division so much that titles had to be created for them. Gonzalez vowed that they would be champions for a very long time. Blackheart & Moon, who Kai & Gonzalez defeated in the women’s Dusty Classic finals at TakeOver: Vengeance Day last month, then confronted Kai & Gonzalez to set up an NXT Women’s Tag Team title match between the teams.

Blackheart avoided a charge and sent Kai crashing into Gonzalez and Moon near the end of tonight’s NXT Women’s Tag Team title match. Blackheart & Moon then won the titles when Blackheart pinned Kai.

It was hyped that Regal would be making two “game-changing announcements” on tonight’s NXT. The other announcement was that NXT’s first-ever two-night TakeOver event will take place on Wednesday, April 7 and Thursday, April 8. The first night will air live on the USA Network. The second night will be live on Peacock in the United States and live on the WWE Network everywhere else. The TakeOver special is named NXT TakeOver: Stand & Deliver.
