UK Tag Team title match set for WWE NXT

A match for the NXT UK Tag Team Championships has been announced for next week’s NXT.

Josh Briggs & Brooks Jensen will defend their titles against Pretty Deadly. Two other matches, Roderick Strong vs. Damon Kemp and JD McDonagh vs. Cameron Grimes is also set for next week’s show.

Briggs & Jensen were shown with Fallon Henley at their bar during tonight’s NXT when Pretty Deadly walked in, dressed like cowboys. The two teams argued and were about to go at it when Fallon Henley stopped the fight, saying if Pretty Deadly wanted a match, they could get it next week.

Tonight’s show also had a confrontation between McDonagh and Grimes. As Grimes was talking about his failure to capture the NXT title from Bron Breakker at The Great American Bash, McDonagh came out and taunted Grimes over his loss. The two ended up getting into a brawl, with Grimes sending out McDonagh with a headbutt.

Strong made a match for himself against Kemp after Kemp was friendly with the Creed Brothers, suggesting the two teams have a rematch for the titles.

Axiom will also make his debut next week, with a vignette airing showing him putting on a mask. Joe Gacy also promised on tonight’s show that The Schism (the former Dyad under a new tag team name) will reveal their identities.

Here is everything announced so far for next week’s NXT:

  • JD McDonagh vs. Cameron Grimes
  • Josh Briggs & Brooks Jensen vs. Pretty Deadly for the NXT UK Tag Team titles
  • Roderick Strong vs. Damon Kemp
  • Axiom in-ring debut
