The former Wyatt Sicks announced for WrestleCon

Former WWE superstars The Wyatt Sicks have now been announced for an upcoming edition of WrestleCon with their new names.

WrestleCon recently announced that former WWE wrestlers Wyatt Sicks (Bo Dallas, aka Uncle Howdy, Nikki Cross, Erick Rowan, Dexter Lumis, and Joe Gacy) are set to attend the convention in Minneapolis as part of WWE SummerSlam Weekend later this year. Wyatt Sicks, alongside Alba Fyre, Zoey Stark, and other wrestlers, was released just days after WWE WrestleMania 42.

The WrestleCon convention is scheduled to run from Friday, July 31, to Sunday, August 2, and The Wyatt Sicks are scheduled to appear on all three of these dates. Their WrestleCon promotional advert also revealed their new post-WWE names.

  • Uncle Howdy/Bo Dallas – Taylor Rotunda
  • Nikki Cross – Nikki Storm
  • Erick Rowan – Erick Redbeard
  • Dexter Lumis – Samuel Shaw
  • Joe Gacy – Joseph Sawyer

Why did WWE release the Wyatt Sicks?

In an earlier edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter from May 2026, Dave Meltzer opened up and explained the reasons behind WWE’s releases of Wyatt Sicks, Aleister Black, and others.

“It was just felt that the group had run its course. Even at first there were those who saw it as a short-term idea. It was basically a tribute to Bray Wyatt and was over big at first but it was limiting how they could be used with that gimmick over the long haul.”

Erick Redbeard teaming with Death Triangle at AEW Revolution Buy-In

A new match has been added to Sunday’s AEW Revolution Buy-In pre-show.

Erick Redbeard returned to AEW on tonight’s Rampage, aligning with Death Triangle’s PAC and Penta Oscuro. Redbeard, PAC, and Penta will face House of Black’s Malakai Black, Brody King, and Buddy Matthews on The Buy-In.

Alex Abrahantes, PAC, and Penta were in the ring for a promo on Rampage. Abrahantes issued a challenge to House of Black for a trios match. House of Black approached the ring to accept the challenge, and threatened an attack. Abrahantes then revealed Redbeard as a surprise ally for Death Triangle.

Redbeard, formerly Erick Rowan in WWE, last appeared on AEW programming on the Brodie Lee tribute show in December 2020.
