Former WWE superstars The Wyatt Sicks have now been announced for an upcoming edition of WrestleCon with their new names.
WrestleCon recently announced that former WWE wrestlers Wyatt Sicks (Bo Dallas, aka Uncle Howdy, Nikki Cross, Erick Rowan, Dexter Lumis, and Joe Gacy) are set to attend the convention in Minneapolis as part of WWE SummerSlam Weekend later this year. Wyatt Sicks, alongside Alba Fyre, Zoey Stark, and other wrestlers, was released just days after WWE WrestleMania 42.
The WrestleCon convention is scheduled to run from Friday, July 31, to Sunday, August 2, and The Wyatt Sicks are scheduled to appear on all three of these dates. Their WrestleCon promotional advert also revealed their new post-WWE names.
“It was just felt that the group had run its course. Even at first there were those who saw it as a short-term idea. It was basically a tribute to Bray Wyatt and was over big at first but it was limiting how they could be used with that gimmick over the long haul.”
Let them in! This group may be headed in different directions, but we have assembled them once again for the entire 3 day weekend. Group pro photos will be available each day. pic.twitter.com/KZhgpwPvV1
After years of separation, Dexter Lumis has reunited with Indi Hartwell.
In a social media video posted, fans saw Lumis reunite with Hartwell and undergo a major new transformation. The former Wyatt Sicks member was seen receiving a makeover by Hartwell, who proceeded with shaving his thick beard and dreadlocks.
The new makeover left Lumis with his original look of a moustache and short, cropped hair. The video ended with “7.24.26,” which is when Lumis’s no-compete clause with WWE will end.
Lumis and Hartwell share a long, storied history. A few years ago, in 2021, fans saw Lumis marry Hartwell (kayfabe) on WWE NXT as members of The Way with Johnny Gargano, Candice LeRae, and Austin Theory. The couple became extremely popular among the fans and came to be known as InDex.
However, the storyline got dropped after both wrestlers moved on with their own journeys. While Hartwell was released in 2024, Lumis continued his run as part of The Wyatt Sicks. Recently, Lumis also became a part of the post-WrestleMania 42 roster cut alongside several other names.
Shortly after his departure, Lumis has now reunited with Hartwell. Although it is currently unknown if the two plan of continuing their partnership. While Lumis now serves his 90-day no-compete clause, Hartwell is an active member of the TNA roster.
Hours after his WWE release, Wyatt Sicks member Dexter Lumis penned an emotional note addressing his fans and his faction members.
Lumis was a part of the recent roster cuts that happened before the April 24 edition of WWE SmackDown. A part of the release alongside multiple NXT and WWE main roster Superstars that included his Wyatt Sicks members, Lumis wrote a long note on social media.
“Won’t make this too sappy, but I love each and every member of this group. The task we took on together was truly monumental. I won’t look back with any regrets. Thank you to anyone who ever worked with me/us. The [WWE] locker room is filled with amazing talent,” he wrote.
“To the fans of [Wyatt Sicks], we truly felt Bray’s presence each and every time we made our entrance. I would like to think most of you did too…”
Quoting CM Punk in his farewell message, Lumis wrote, “‘If your dreams don’t scare the shit out of you, you need bigger dreams.'”
A former WWE tag team champion with Joe Gacy on the WWE main roster, Lumis was a part of WWE from 2019 to 2022, when he was released. However, after a brief stint in the indies, Lumis made his way back in 2022 and stayed there before his 2026 release.
The first match has been announced for the Monday, December 23 WWE Raw.
The Miz will go one-on-one with Dexter Lumis of the Wyatt Sicks on next week’s episode. The match was revealed during a backstage segment on this week’s episode as The Miz met with The Final Testament.
Miz thought that his association with Karrion Kross and The Final Testament group was over after their eight-man tag bout against the stable on last week’s Raw won by Miz and Final Testament. Instead, Kross said that Miz would be facing Lumis next week, and that they will be finished when Kross says they are finished.
The matchup will be the first singles bout for Lumis in all of 2024, and just his sixth match overall this year.
Next Monday’s Raw is being taped this Monday. We will have spoilers on the site as they become available.
This past week’s WWE Main Event was taped at the MVP Arena in Albany, New York, before Monday’s Raw.
Dexter Lumis defeated Akira Tozawa (4:11)
As always, Tozawa and Lumis were good together with Lumis getting the win and a handshake.
Lumis is certainly due a storyline having worked Main Event a lot over the last few months. There is definitely a portion of the WWE Universe who likes him, but his character is confusing now, having gone from menacing to essentially quite comical.
Tozawa managed to get Lumis off his feet with a hurricanrana, but he then no sold some of his chops and stared him down. This is where working Main Event makes no sense. If he’s so dominant, why not give him a program on Raw?
Lumis used a delayed suplex which the crowd enjoyed before using a nerve rest hold to lead in to the hope spot for Tozawa who used a rana and running high knee before going up top.
Ultimately, Tozawa took too long as he went up top for his senton finisher and thus, Lumis got out of the way. He caught Tozawa on the charge, nailing him with a side slam for the win.
Lumis did his slithering gimmick after the bell and offered Tozawa a handshake, which was accepted.
This was a little too long with too much heat, but Nox and LeRae worked well together.
Nox took most of this one with LeRae basically selling for most of it. With Cross cheerleading from the sidelines, it felt like a bigger pop when LeRae finally got her hand raised.
Before the break, Nox was in control as commentary focused on Cross. Her character is just a little bit too zany for my taste, but she does seem to be over with a certain segment of the crowd.
They ended up on the apron and Nox used a flapjack on LeRae as they went to the break.
Cross never really featured in this one, other than Nox calling her a psycho from the ring. Alas, she was there in full ring gear and did absolutely nothing other than support LeRae from the outside.
In the end, LeRae came up off the top rope with a missile dropick and a moonsault off the second rope for the win. Cross hugged LaRae after the bell, but she didn’t seem too keen on the idea.
Final Thoughts:
These were two matches that were perfectly fine with the babyfaces going over. It had been better when they were giving NXT workers the chance to work against main roster talent, but Tozawa and Lumis are always entertaining together. The women’s match at the top of the show was fine, but focused way too much on Cross’ wackiness.
Monday night’s episode of Raw featured the reunion of a former NXT faction.
The Way (Johnny Gargano, Candice LeRae, Indi Hartwell, and Dexter Lumis) appeared together in a backstage segment on last night’s show. In the segment, The Way refused to sign Chelsea Green & Sonya Deville’s petition for a Women’s Tag Team title shot against Raquel Rodriguez & Liv Morgan.
There was also a tease during the segment that someone else could soon be returning. Gargano told The Way that “he’s coming back soon.” Gargano said he thought it would be great, but LeRae didn’t agree.
Though WWE hasn’t revealed who Gargano was talking about, it may have been his former NXT tag team partner Tommaso Ciampa. Ciampa has been out of action since last September. He underwent hip surgery in October of last year.
Gargano, LeRae, Hartwell, and Lumis were all selected by Raw in the WWE Draft. Hartwell was called up from NXT in the draft. She was NXT Women’s Champion when she was drafted, but Hartwell relinquished the title last week.
United States Champion Austin Theory was formerly a member of The Way in NXT. Theory is currently a heel on the SmackDown brand.
Last week’s WWE Main Event was taped at the Allstate Arena in Chicago, Illinois, before Raw. It featured NXT’s Cora Jade, the return of Joe Gacy, and wasn’t a standout show.
Dexter Lumis defeated Joe Gacy (5:11)
This was fine, but the crowd wasn’t much into it and thus it felt quite tepid.
Gacy worked Main Event last November against Cedric Alexander and looks fine with main roster company. His match last year was much stronger than this, but it doesn’t help that Lumis doesn’t sell very much as part of his gimmick when you’re trying to give fresh faces a chance.
Gacy’s gimmick is a little odd for my taste and, although Lumis does seem to be getting over to some extent, he doesn’t really do much for me either. Lumis seems to be channeling the Undertaker at times, no-selling certain things and turning around to glare at his opponent with wide eyes.
They worked a pretty standard match, but Gacy does move well for a bigger athlete. His handspring into a clothesline that he used here is a testament to that.
At one point, Gacy appeared to try to recruit Lumis by saying that he could have given him a chance, but Lumis was having none of it and nailed him with a few strikes to the gut.
After Gacy locked in a couple of rest holds, he went once more for his clothesline, but Lumis caught him and finished him with his as-yet-unnamed side slam that looks suspiciously like a Rock Bottom.
Nikki Cross defeated Cora Jade (7:14)
It was good to see Jade make her main roster debut in front of her home crowd, but their match wasn’t much to write home about.
At only 23, Jade is still relatively new to this, and she and Cross had a few difficulties towards the end. Having worked a few 205 Live tapings and the odd dark match on SmackDown, this was probably her most notable main roster outing to date.
They gave Jade an inset promo as she made her way to the ring carrying a kendo stick. She said she had been running NXT for a long time and that she was about to become the number one woman in all of WWE. The crowd popped for her as she was introduced as hailing from Chicago.
After some neat early mat work, Cross was slamming Jade’s head into the turnbuckle when she stopped her and hit her with a high knee that sent her to the floor outside. Jade postured to the crowd and we went to a commercial break.
Jade was in control after the break, but this is where they really lost the crowd. After the heat segment, they didn’t really come to life for Cross’ comeback either.
There was a neat spot where Jade reversed a bulldog into a pin attempt, but they lost their way after Cross came off the second rope with a tornado DDT. Jade had Cross in a full nelson and then just dropped on to her back. They conversed on the mat together and then went to the finish.
It looked like Jade was bleeding from the mouth as they teased a superplex. Cross fought her off and came off the top rope with a crossbody to get the win.
Final Thoughts:
It was a nice moment for Jade to get to work in front of a packed Allstate Arena, but she will be disappointed that the match didn’t quite work out as planned. These things happen and she certainly has time on her side.
Last week’s WWE Main Event was taped at the Simmons Bank Arena in Little Rock, Arkansas, before Raw.
Nikki Cross defeated Isla Dawn (4:59)
This was good, but putting a match with this kind of natural storyline on a show like Main Event is a waste.
In the real world, Dawn and Cross grew up in Glasgow, Scotland, about a mile away from each other. Despite the five year age gap, it was Cross who gave Dawn her first ever wrestling match ten years ago. This was all glossed over on commentary, but seems like an angle that they could have done way more with.
Currently one half of the NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions, Dawn made a good debut here. Cross gave her plenty of shine, but beat her clean in the end.
They gave Dawn an inset promo on her way to the ring where she alluded to the fact that she and Cross had worked together in a previous life and was looking forward to their encounter tonight.
Dawn used a cobra clutch several times to try to wear Cross down. She worked her way out of it twice and they exchanged clubbing blows.
Dawn didn’t get to show off much of her moveset as they kept this one fairly basic. After a couple of dropkicks, Cross came off the second rope with a tornado DDT and then finished Dawn with a whiplash.
Dexter Lumis defeated Eddy Thorpe (8:02)
This was again very basic. Neither looked bad and Thorpe had plenty of offense, but neither dazzled and the more experienced man went over.
They gave Lumis an inset promo where he basically stared at the camera. It would have been better to give Thorpe, the former Karl Fredericks, the air time so that new viewers could have seen a little of what he was about. If you aren’t catching NXT Level Up when he works matches there, you have likely never heard of him.
Lumis has generally had a winning record since he started to make Main Event appearances, but a losing effort to Bronson Reed two weeks back marred his run on this show.
Thorpe worked over Lumis’ left arm in various ways throughout the match. He tried for a quasi kimura and used an abdominal stretch. It didn’t play into the finish, but Thorpe is certainly slick in his transitions and knows his way around the ring.
After the commercials, Thorpe used a lep whip and went back to the abdominal stretch but Lumis worked his way out and nailed him with a suplex.
The finish was Lumis’ kip-up leg drop, followed by a side slam. The crowd seem to be warming to Lumis and he seems to be gradually getting over.
Final Thoughts:
After the two strong matches last week, this show wasn’t as good. The fresh faces always make it an intriguing show, and credit to Dawn and Thorpe who did well, but two rather rudimentary bouts meant it was one to miss.
The post-WrestleMania 39 edition of WWE Main Event has arrived, chock full of major angles. Not really, but this was taped this past Monday prior to WWE Raw at Staples Center in Los Angeles. And boy, what a show this was.
Rick Boogs defeated Cedric Alexander (w/ Shelton Benjamin)
Boogs was already in the ring awaiting Alexander as apparently, they were short on time with all the video packages to come to give the big man an entrance. Boogs was full of energy, flexing and yelling and doing more flexing and yelling anytime he put his power on display by throwing Alexander around.
Boogs used his power to do bicep curls with Benjamin followed by an overhead throw. Alexander didn’t seem to care for this as he wanted to get counted out, but Boogzseventually went out after him. Boogs very slowly pursued Alexander, but got distracted by Benjamin and eventually taken out by a spear while on the apron. By slowly, I mean a glacial pace.
Alexander went to work with rest holds and a front face lock, but Boogs tossed him overhead in a display of sheer power to regain the momentum. Eventually, Boogs got the win with a press into a slam of sorts for the pin and win in a relatively lifeless match.
Bronson Reed defeated Dexter Lumis
Lumis was looking to pick up his second straight win and second straight against a big man as he defeated Odyssey Jones on this show last week.
These two have a history going back to NXT when they first squared off during the 2019 NXT Breakout Tournament. This is their fourth ever singles match and Lumis has yet to pick up a win in this classic series.
I also couldn’t help but think what the future for these two will be given all the changes in WWE and their past being released.
This followed a similar pattern as the first match with Reed showing off his power to hold the advantage over Lumis, albeit in a much more athletic fashion. Reed missed a running back splash which gave Lumis an opening. He hit a big back suplex, kip up and a ledrop that got a very close near fall.
In the end, Reed’s size was too much, countering a Lumis attack by simply running into him, then picking up the win after the Tsunami splash off the top.
This week’s WWE Main Event was taped at the Footprint Center in Phoenix, Arizona, before Monday’s Raw.
Dana Brooke defeated Elektra Lopez (5:09)
This was a solid match and they worked well together. Lopez certainly didn’t look out of place working a main roster show. Interestingly, she has been on the main roster before back in a 2019 SmackDown match as one of the Brooklyn Belles against then-WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions The IIconics.
The most impressive thing here was how much Brooke gave to Lopez. Lopez looks like she works pretty safe, but Brooke sold constantly for her throughout the match.
Although Lopez used a couple of chin locks, she worked quickly and showed off a good moveset. She worked over Brooke’s back and used a nice looking gutwrench suplex.
Brooke rallied with her bulldog and cartwheel moonsault, but Lopez kicked out at two. Lopez rolled through Brooke’s crossbody attempt and lifted her into a powerslam position from the mat. She only got a near fall from it, but it looked impressive.
Brooke grabbed the win with a victory roll, so I suppose the narrative here was that Brooke upended her by being the more experienced of the two, but it would have done no harm to have had Lopez get her hand raised.
They could easily give Lopez a run and make her look dominant on the main roster, but hopefully they will give her a few more runouts on shows like this first.
Dexter Lumis (w/ Johnny Gargano) defeated Odyssey Jones (7:33)
This was ok. Lumis looked good and gave Jones quite a lot. Jones worked slowly and methodically, but the issue is his gimmick and not his in-ring work.
Lumis has done a few Main Event tapings this year and has generally looked good, but this was his first episode with Gargano in tow. Jones, likewise, has done ok in the few outings he has had on the show.
In the opening, Jones showed off his power before Lumis mounted him in the corner for the ten punches. Jones rallied to send him outside as we went to a commercial.
After the break, Lumis took three splashes in the corner and World’s Strongest Slam but kicked out at two. Jones then locked in a nerve hold as you could see he was tired. Lumis worked his way out, Jones ran into a boot, and Lumis used a second rope missile dropkick to take him off his feet.
Gargano gave Lumis some advice from the outside and Lumis managed to hit Jones with a side slam. He then did a kip up into a legdrop which looked extremely cool, but Jones kicked out at two.
The finish made Jones looked a bit foolish: Lumis pushed him into the ropes and then ducked down behind him to quickly roll him up for the win.
Gargano and Lumis made out of there like bandits while Jones was left looking distraught.
Final Thoughts:
Overall, this was a good show. Like a lot of WWE content this week, it has been about building to WrestleMania, but the two matches were perfectly fine here. Hopefully, after things settle again, we will return to some inset promos, backstage segments and dare I say some angles on this show in the near future.
This will be the first time Gallows & Anderson have wrestled on Raw since January. They’ve wrestled house show matches and dark matches since then, along with appearing on a couple episodes of WWE Main Event.
“Since AJ Styles was taken out with an injury, it has been a minute since we have seen The O.C., but they look to make their triumphant return by dehydrating the always thirsty Maximum Male Models,” WWE wrote.
Gallows & Anderson defeated Maximum Male Models on the most recent episode of Main Event.
Maximum Male Models are currently involved in a storyline where they’re trying to recruit Otis.
Gargano defeated Judgment Day’s Finn Balor on Raw earlier this week. Gargano was able to get the win after Edge interfered to cost Balor the match.
A face-to-face between Balor and Edge will take place on this Monday’s Raw. Balor has challenged Edge to face him at WrestleMania 39.
The updated lineup for Monday’s Raw is listed below:
Brock Lesnar & Omos face-to-face
Edge & Finn Balor face-to-face
Non-title match: Raw Women’s Champion Bianca Belair vs. Chelsea Green
Elias vs. Bronson Reed
The OC (Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson) vs. Maximum Male Models (Mace & Mansoor)
Johnny Gargano & Dexter Lumis vs. The Judgment Day (Damian Priest & Dominik Mysterio)
A ladder match with two bags of money will be up for grabs next week on Raw.
The match between Dexter Lumis and The Miz was set up during a segment on Monday’s Raw. Lumis and Johnny Gargano were giving WWE merchandise they bought with Miz’s money to people at ringside when The Miz came out and shoved Lumis into Gargano, taking the bag of money away from them.
Miz and Gargano argued about the money, causing WWE official Adam Pearce to come out to resolve the issue. Miz said he wanted to earn the money back in a rematch. Gargano said Lumis would agree if they make it double or nothing, meaning Miz would put up another bag of money along with the one owned by Lumis. Miz at first said he couldn’t do that, as Maryse controls their money and he only gets an allowance. However, he eventually agreed to the stipulation, saying he would find a way to get the money.
Next week’s Raw will take place at the Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines, Iowa.
Dexter Lumis in storyline officially signed a WWE contract on Raw after defeating The Miz.
Lumis defeated The Miz in an anything goes match on Moinday’s show. Miz attempted to plead with WWE official Adam Pearce before the match, but Pearce forced The Miz to compete. Once Lumis picked up the submission victory, Pearce handed Lumis Miz’s Louis Vuitton bag filled with money, something that had been promised to Lumis by The Miz.
As Lumis was handing money to children at ringside, Miz recovered and attacked Lumis, snatching away a $100 bill from a child at ringside. Johnny Gargano then emerged, superkicking Miz and handing the money back to the child.
Miz and Lumis have been feuding since Lumis returned to WWE in early August, stalking him every week at arenas and even at Miz’s house. Johnny Gargano eventually revealed that originally, this was a ploy by The Miz, who hired Lumis to stalk him in order to get more publicity. However, Miz eventually stopped paying Lumis, which eventually led to Lumis breaking from Miz and stalking him to get the money that he had earned.
A match between the two was originally set for the October 17 edition of Raw. However, The Miz attacked Lumis before the match, delaying the match until Monday’s show.
The Miz vs. Dexter Lumis in a stipulation match has been announced for the Monday, November 28 episode of WWE Raw.
In a bout announced during this week’s Raw, Miz will face Lumis with Lumis earning a WWE contract if he wins. Additionally, The Miz will be required to pay Lumis what he had originally agreed to in their storyline where Miz hired Lumis to attack him.
Miz vs. Lumis in a stipulation match where Lumis would receive a WWE contract if he won was first announced for the October 17 Raw, but was postponed after Miz attacked Lumis in a backstage segment.
The twist of Lumis and Miz having a financial agreement that Miz went back on would be revealed later as Johnny Gargano was inserted into the storyline.
Gargano was the impetus for the November 28 match announcement during Monday’s Raw as part of a Miz TV segment also involving Miz, Lumis, and Byron Saxton.
A Miz TV segment has been added to the lineup for tonight’s episode of Raw.
WWE announced this afternoon that The Miz has invited Dexter Lumis to be his guest on Miz TV tonight. Miz will look to “finally get to the bottom of” Lumis’ recent attacks on him.
Since returning to WWE last month, Lumis has been stalking Miz. That’s included Lumis costing Miz a shot at winning the United States Championship from Bobby Lashley. Last week, a video aired where it was shown that Lumis was inside Miz’s home.
WWE.com wrote about Miz inviting Lumis to Miz TV:
Tonight on Monday Night Raw, The Miz will invite Dexter Lumis to appear on ‘Miz TV’ in an attempt to finally get to the bottom of Lumis’ recent attacks on The A-Lister.
The Awesome One has been running scared in recent weeks as Lumis has abducted him during matches and has even stalked The Miz in his own home. Even with security and police presence beefed up during Raw, Lumis has managed to sneak in and haunt The Miz senseless. The Miz has seemingly almost run out of his wits and will confront the bizarre Superstar in the hopes of stopping the freaky Lumis.
Will Lumis appear on ‘Miz TV’? Find out tonight at 8/7 C on USA!
Raw is taking place at the SAP Center in San Jose, California tonight. Here’s the updated card for the episode:
