The former Wyatt Sicks announced for WrestleCon

Former WWE superstars The Wyatt Sicks have now been announced for an upcoming edition of WrestleCon with their new names.

WrestleCon recently announced that former WWE wrestlers Wyatt Sicks (Bo Dallas, aka Uncle Howdy, Nikki Cross, Erick Rowan, Dexter Lumis, and Joe Gacy) are set to attend the convention in Minneapolis as part of WWE SummerSlam Weekend later this year. Wyatt Sicks, alongside Alba Fyre, Zoey Stark, and other wrestlers, was released just days after WWE WrestleMania 42.

The WrestleCon convention is scheduled to run from Friday, July 31, to Sunday, August 2, and The Wyatt Sicks are scheduled to appear on all three of these dates. Their WrestleCon promotional advert also revealed their new post-WWE names.

  • Uncle Howdy/Bo Dallas – Taylor Rotunda
  • Nikki Cross – Nikki Storm
  • Erick Rowan – Erick Redbeard
  • Dexter Lumis – Samuel Shaw
  • Joe Gacy – Joseph Sawyer

Why did WWE release the Wyatt Sicks?

In an earlier edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter from May 2026, Dave Meltzer opened up and explained the reasons behind WWE’s releases of Wyatt Sicks, Aleister Black, and others.

“It was just felt that the group had run its course. Even at first there were those who saw it as a short-term idea. It was basically a tribute to Bray Wyatt and was over big at first but it was limiting how they could be used with that gimmick over the long haul.”

Bo Dallas set for WWE return

Another member of the Rotunda family is set to return to WWE.

Bo Dallas is expected back in the company “very soon.” Our own Bryan Alvarez confirmed the news on Sunday.

The 32-year-old was released from WWE on April 15, 2021. He hadn’t actually wrestled in over a year at the time, with his last match having been on a European tour in November 2019. Dallas’ last match on WWE programming took place at Crown Jewel 2019 in the Tag Team Turmoil match. He had been with the company since 2008.

Dallas, real-name Taylor Rotunda, is a third-generation wrestler and brother to Bray Wyatt, who made his WWE return at Extreme Rules on Saturday.  Five-time WWE tag team champion Mike Rotunda is their father. Barry and Kendall Windham are their uncles. Their grandfather is WWE Hall of Famer Blackjack Mulligan.

Dallas is a former Raw Tag Team Champion along with Curtis Axel, a three-time FCW Champion, and twice won the FCW tag titles along with his brother.

Bo Dallas planning to return to the ring ‘very soon’

After more than two years away from the ring, the former Bo Dallas (real name Taylor Rotunda) is planning to make his return “very soon.”

During a Q&A  at the For the Love of Wrestling convention last weekend, Rotunda was asked if he’s done with wrestling. Rotunda said he’s “absolutely not” done in the ring — and he expects to make his return somewhere within the next two to three months.

“Absolutely not,” Rotunda responded when asked if he’s done with wrestling. “I’m the furthest from done with wrestling that you could possibly be. I spent the past year diving into a bunch of different ventures outside of wrestling, but wrestling has never left my heart — not for one second. And I just wanted to get a couple things done before I dive back into something that I really cared about. Now that I’ve got everything kind of wrapped up and working on, within the next two to three months, you’ll see me back in the ring somewhere very soon. Because the love of wrestling has never left me. I’ve always known I was coming back to it soon, but I just needed to get some other stuff done. But I’ll be back in the ring really, really soon. I promise.”

Rotunda was released by WWE during the company’s April 2021 roster cuts. He hasn’t wrestled since late 2019.

Dave Meltzer reported in February 2021 that Rotunda and Liv Morgan were living together on a farm and planning to start a family real estate business.
