Ladder stipulation added to Elias vs. Lashley at WWE TLC

WWE has added a stipulation to one of the matches for Sunday’s TLC pay-per-view.

During tonight’s Raw, it was announced that Elias vs. Bobby Lashley at TLC will now be a ladder match. There will be a guitar suspended above the ring and the first person to reach it will be able to use it as a weapon during the match.

As part of the storyline where Baron Corbin has made Heath Slater a referee, Lio Rush defeated Elias on Raw tonight. Slater let Lashley interfere, and Lashley smashed a guitar across Elias’ back before Rush got the win. Elias had hit Rush with a guitar last week.

TLC is taking place at the SAP Center in San Jose, California on Sunday. Here’s the updated card:

  • WWE Champion Daniel Bryan defending against AJ Styles
  • Intercontinental Champion Seth Rollins defending against Dean Ambrose
  • If Braun Strowman is able to wrestle at the PPV: Strowman vs. Baron Corbin in a tables, ladders, and chairs match (Strowman will challenge for Brock Lesnar’s Universal Championship at the Royal Rumble if he defeats Corbin. If Corbin wins, he’ll become the permanent general manager of Raw. Corbin will lose all of his GM power if Strowman wins)
  • Raw Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey defending against Nia Jax
  • SmackDown Women’s Champion Becky Lynch defending against Charlotte Flair and Asuka in a triple threat tables, ladders, and chairs match
  • SmackDown Tag Team Champions Cesaro & Sheamus defending against The Usos and The New Day in a triple threat match
  • Natalya vs. Ruby Riott in a tables match
  • Finn Balor vs. Drew McIntyre
  • Elias vs. Bobby Lashley in a ladder match (the first person to reach the guitar suspended above the ring will be able to use it during the match)
  • WWE Cruiserweight Champion Buddy Murphy defending against Cedric Alexander
  • The finals of Mixed Match Challenge season two

Tag Team title match, Elias vs. Lashley set for WWE Raw

Two matches are set for Monday’s episode of Raw.

WWE.com’s updated preview for Monday’s show confirms that Raw Tag Team Champions AOP will defend their titles against Bobby Roode & Chad Gable on the episode. Elias vs. Bobby Lashley is also set.

Roode & Gable defeated AOP in a non-title match this Monday, with Gable jumping off the top rope and pinning Akam with a sunset flip after Akam shoved Roode to the outside. Elias has been feuding with Lashley and teamed with Braun Strowman & Finn Balor against Lashley, Baron Corbin & Drew McIntyre in an elimination tag match on Raw this week.

WWE will follow up on the Strowman injury angle (which was due to Strowman having a legitimate elbow injury) on Monday’s Raw. They’ll also continue building the Ronda Rousey-Nia Jax and Seth Rollins-Dean Ambrose programs ahead of their matches at TLC on December 16.

Monday’s episode is taking place at the Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

WWE announces three matches for Monday’s Raw

WWE has announced three matches for Monday’s Raw.

Dolph Ziggler & Drew McIntyre will be defending their Raw Tag Team titles against The Revival on the episode. Bobby Lashley vs. Elias and Brie Bella vs. Ruby Riott are also scheduled.

The Revival were set to challenge The B-Team for the Tag Team titles on the September 3 edition of Raw, but there was a storyline where Ziggler & McIntyre attacked Scott Dawson & Dash Wilder before the match. Ziggler & McIntyre instead faced Curtis Axel & Bo Dallas and won the titles.

Lashley faced Elias on this Monday’s Raw. Lio Rush and Kevin Owens both got involved, with the match ending in a disqualification when Rush kicked Elias.

The Bellas made the save for Ronda Rousey when The Riott Squad attacked her on Monday. Nikki Bella defeated Riott and Nikki & Brie defeated Liv Morgan & Sarah Logan in matches earlier this month. Rousey & The Bellas will be facing Riott, Morgan & Logan at Super Show-Down in Melbourne, Australia on October 6.

Monday’s Raw will be taking place at the Pepsi Center in Denver, Colorado. Chad Gable vs. Konnor is also being teased for the episode after Gable defeated Viktor last week. Konnor pushed Gable into Bobby Roode following the match.

Trish Stratus makes surprise appearance on WWE Raw

With Raw taking place in her hometown of Toronto, Trish Stratus made a surprise appearance on tonight’s show.

Stratus first interrupted Elias, with the story for the segment being that she was taking exception to him running down Toronto. Elias then insulted Stratus, leading to her slapping him.

Stratus also mentioned Evolution and her match against Alexa Bliss at the pay-per-view during the segment. She stayed in the ring ahead of the next match, with Ronda Rousey accompanying Natalya and Bliss coming out with Alicia Fox. Bliss cut a promo on Stratus, calling her irrelevant and saying that she replaced Stratus. She said nothing can save Stratus from the beatdown she’s going to give her at Evolution.

Bliss brought out Stratus’ old rival Mickie James, but Bliss and James backed away from Rousey and Stratus at ringside during the match. Natalya, Rousey, and Stratus celebrated after Natalya submitted Fox with the Sharpshooter.

Evolution is taking place at the Nassau Coliseum in Long Island, New York on October 28. Stratus’ match will be the first time she’s wrestled since the women’s Royal Rumble in January. Before that, she hadn’t wrestled since 2011.

Bryan vs. Miz for title shot, tag match announced for Super Show-Down

After the build to the pay-per-view began on television this week, WWE has made a few more announcements for Super Show-Down.

Daniel Bryan and The Miz will be facing each other at the October 6 PPV in Melbourne, Australia, with the winner getting a future shot at the WWE Championship. WWE also announced tonight that Bryan & Brie Bella vs. Miz & Maryse in a mixed tag match is set for Hell in a Cell on September 16.

Miz defeated Bryan at SummerSlam after Maryse gave him brass knuckles to use as a weapon.

John Cena vs. Kevin Owens was originally scheduled for Super Show-Down, but that’s been changed. Cena will instead team with Bobby Lashley against Owens & Elias.

WWE is also hyping that The Shield will be in action at Super Show-Down in some form after reuniting on Raw this week. Whether they’ll be in a six-man tag or separate matches wasn’t confirmed.

Triple H appeared on Monday’s Raw to hype up Super Show-Down, which will take place at the Melbourne Cricket Ground and air live on the WWE Network. Triple H is facing The Undertaker at the show in what’s being billed as the final time they’ll ever wrestle each other.

Elias segment set for WWE SummerSlam

In addition to the 13 matches on the card, another segment is set for SummerSlam.

WWE has announced a segment where Elias will be performing on Sunday’s pay-per-view. They’re hyping that Elias is promising that it will be his “single greatest song to date.”

Elias has been feuding with Bobby Lashley during the build to SummerSlam. On last night’s Raw, Lashley laid out “Ricky Roberts” with a spinebuster after Roberts tried to hit him with a guitar. Roberts’ character was a local musician from Greensboro, North Carolina who was Elias’ biggest fan.

Elias will also be performing at the Gramercy Theatre in New York City at 5 p.m. Eastern time this Saturday.

The SummerSlam pre-show will begin at 5 p.m. Eastern on Sunday, with the main card starting at 7 p.m. Here’s the lineup for the show:

Two Elias specials to air on WWE Network this month

Two specials focusing on Elias are set to air on the WWE Network this month.

“Elias: Live from Bourbon Street” is listed as airing on the Network at 11:36 p.m. Eastern time this coming Monday. The performance was filmed at Razzoo Bar & Patio in New Orleans on the Thursday of WrestleMania week this April.

WWE posted the full performance on YouTube yesterday. At the end of it, there are clips hyping up “Walk With Elias: The Documentary.” It’s a mockumentary about the making of “Walk With Elias: The Album” and includes clips of interviews with others talking about him, seemingly leading up to Elias interrupting John Cena and being fought off by him at WrestleMania 34. The special will premiere on the WWE Network after Raw on July 30, though the runtime for it wasn’t announced.

Click play below to watch the Bourbon Street performance. The songs are similar to what he does at WWE shows. It’s noted that they’re a sample of his album, which will be released on Spotify and iTunes this coming Monday.

Balor & Roode vs. Corbin & Elias set for tonight’s WWE Raw

A tag match is set for tonight’s Extreme Rules go-home edition of Raw.

Finn Balor will be teaming with Bobby Roode against Baron Corbin & Elias on the show. WWE posted video of an interview with Corbin this afternoon where, in storyline, he explained that he used his influence as the “Constable of Raw” to make the match. Corbin insulted Balor and said he hopes Balor is still able to make it to Extreme Rules after tonight’s match.

Balor and Corbin will be facing each other at Extreme Rules on Sunday. Roode and Elias don’t have matches announced for the pay-per-view, and tonight will be the first time Roode has been on Raw since June 18.

Tonight’s episode is taking place at the TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts. It should feature the continuation of Bayley and Sasha Banks’ angle where they attended counseling with Dr. Shelby last week, along with the final build to Raw’s matches for Extreme Rules.

Intercontinental title match set for WWE Money in the Bank

A Intercontinental title match has been set for Money in the Bank.

Seth Rollins’ next challenger is Elias, which was confirmed today on WWE’s social media. The feud between the two started this past Monday when Elias came out to perform and wouldn’t leave. Rollins, who had a title match against Jinder Mahal, forced him out by throwing his stool to the outside.

Rollins was disqualified in the match after hitting Mahal with a steel chair. As he posed on top of the announcer’s table, Elias came in and smashed Rollins in the back with a guitar. Rollins took a bump to the floor and a stretcher came out. Despite being put in a neck brace, Rollins refused to be stretchered out. He got up under his own power from the stretcher and left.

Money in the Bank will take place on June 17 at the Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Illinois.

WWE Tulsa, OK, live results: Miz vs. Reigns vs. Cena vs. Elias

Submitted by reader Kristian Marinello

– Matt Hardy defeated Bray Wyatt

This was a really hot match and Hardy was more over than the last time WWE came to Tulsa.

– Cedric Alexander defeated Drew Gulak

Though people didn’t seem to know who they were at the beginning, Alexander got more over throughout the match. There was a huge pop for the finish.

– Asuka & Bayley defeated Mandy Rose & Sonya Deville

The audience was into this, with multiple chants for Asuka and Bayley. Asuka got the submission win with the Asuka Lock.

– Braun Strowman defeated Kane

This was a sloppy match and didn’t have a ton of heat.

– Raw Tag Team Champions Cesaro & Sheamus defeated Seth Rollins & Finn Balor to retain their titles

Great match. Balor was going for the Coup de Grace, but Sheamus hit him with a steel chair. The babyfaces then hit their finishers after the match.

– Titus O’Neil & Apollo defeated The Revival and Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson in a triple threat tag match

O’Neil got the biggest pop of anyone in this, though it was a “meh” match.

– Raw Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss (w/ Mickie James) defeated Sasha Banks to retain her title

Pretty good match. Bliss retained with a roll-up after James interfered. They put the boots to Banks after, with Nia Jax making the save and getting a big pop.

Jax put Bliss in a bear hug and suplexed her. She also hit a Samoan drop on James.

– Intercontinental Champion The Miz (w/ Curtis Axel and Bo Dallas) defeated Roman Reigns, John Cena, and Elias in a fatal four-way match to retain his title

Elias came out first and got big heat. The Miztourage threw Reigns into the stairs, Cena hit an Attitude Adjustment on Elias, and Miz put Cena through a table that was set up in the corner and pinned Elias.

Cena, Jax, Asuka, and Rollins received the biggest reactions of the night.

Symphony of Destruction match set for WWE Raw tonight

Though WWE didn’t reveal any details about the match type, Braun Strowman and Elias are set to face off in the first-ever “Symphony of Destruction” match on tonight’s episode of Raw.

Mike Rome announced the stipulation match in a video that WWE put out shortly before tonight’s show. After Elias used a fire extinguisher to get disqualified and then escaped from Strowman last Monday, this will be the second straight week that they have faced each other.

Elias stole a pin from Strowman in a triple threat match in February, then Strowman laid him out and hit him with an upright bass the following week.

Asuka vs. Nia Jax is also set for tonight. And Ronda Rousey will appear on the show and on every Raw between now until WrestleMania. WWE will continue building to her match at WrestleMania after Triple H sucker punched Kurt Angle at the end of last week’s episode.

WWE Vancouver live results: Reigns vs. Elias, Asuka vs. Jax

Submitted by reader Robert Kurelicz with additional notes by Felipe Oñate

– Matt Hardy defeated Bray Wyatt

The house show version of Wyatt is pretty entertaining. The match was okay, with lots of “Delete” chants for Hardy and a lot of stalling. Hardy won with the Twist of Fate.

– Kalisto & Gran Metalik defeated Drew Gulak & Ariya Daivari

All four guys worked hard and this was one of the best matches of the night. Metalik in particular looked very good. The finish came when Kalisto hit the Salida Del Sol on Daivari.

– Goldust defeated Curt Hawkins

Goldust got the pin with a roll-up in a short, decent match.

– Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson defeated The Revival

Good match, though it wasn’t any different than their TV bouts. Gallows and Anderson hit the Magic Killer for the win.

The Revival did a post-match promo about how they’re the best team ever and issued an open challenge to another team. Braun Strowman came out instead and gave them multiple running powerslams.

– Raw Tag Team Champions Cesaro & Sheamus defeated Seth Rollins & Finn Balor to retain their titles

Cesaro and Sheamus worked over Balor until Rollins got the hot tag, but Sheamus used a chair and the champions retained.

There were multiple mistakes after the match where they accidentally played the wrong music. Rollins made the save for Balor and they stood tall after hitting their finishers.

– Heath Slater & Rhyno defeated Curtis Axel & Bo Dallas

Axel took the pin here.

– Asuka defeated Nia Jax by countout

Jax is a good opponent for Asuka and they had one of the best matches of the night.

Asuka kept trying to work in submissions while Jax beat her up. Jax missed a tackle outside of the ring and went over the rail for the countout finish.

– Roman Reigns defeated Elias

The main event was very average, with Reigns hitting the spear to win. Elias was entertaining with his pre-match singing.

Gauntlet match set for Monday’s WWE Raw

Ahead of the Elimination Chamber, there will be a gauntlet match on Monday’s go-home edition of Raw.

All seven of the participants in the men’s Elimination Chamber match will be taking part in the gauntlet. Those wrestlers are: Braun Strowman, Elias, John Cena, Roman Reigns, The Miz, Seth Rollins, and Finn Balor.

WWE hasn’t announced the entry order for the gauntlet, but the match type starts with two people facing off, then another person takes the place of whoever loses until there’s only one wrestler left standing.

Rollins and Balor became the last additions to the Elimination Chamber lineup after they both pinned Bray Wyatt at the same time during a fatal five-way match last Monday. The winner of the men’s Chamber will go on to challenge Brock Lesnar for the Universal Championship at WrestleMania.

The Miz will be the first person to enter the Elimination Chamber during the match, with Elias set to enter last.

Monday’s Raw will also set up the rest of the card for the pay-per-view. All that’s been announced so far are the men’s and women’s Elimination Chambers, Asuka vs. Nia Jax, and an appearance by Ronda Rousey where she’ll be “signing her Monday Night Raw contract.”
