VIDEO: Being the Elite – ‘Brandon Cutler and Colt Cabana vs. Dark Order’

Video —

The Young Buck’s absence on their own YouTube show continues.

After losing the ROH Six-Man Tag Team Championships last week to the Mogul Embassy, Hangman Page, Matt Jackson, and Nick Jackson were all absent from BTE this week.

Three videos were uploaded to Being the Elite’s YouTube channel on Monday. The first featured a clip from a previous Halloween-themed episode and featured Cody Rhodes telling a spooky story.

The second was a short video featuring Brandon Cutler at a Memphis Wrestling event with Prince Nana. Clips of them interacting with fans at a pre-show meet and greet were shown.

The third video uploaded to the Being the Elite YouTube channel on Monday featured a dark match from last week’s Dynamite and Rampage show. Cutler and Colt Cabana were defeated by John Silver and Alex Reynolds in tag team action.

Following the loss to Brian Cage and the Gates of Agony on Wednesday, Matt Jackson appeared frustrated and banged a chair against the ring post several times. Later in the show, he confronted Kenny Omega about his alliance of late with Chris Jericho, saying he doesn’t forget what Jericho did to the Bucks’ father years ago.

Video —

It was another edition of Colt on the Street on today’s Being the Elite.

Kenny Omega, Hangman Page, and The Young Bucks were all absent from the show again this week. The episode featured Colt Cabana and Brandon Cutler interacting with fans in Philadelphia as AEW was in the city for Dynamite and Rampage.

They quickly ran into a young fan wearing a Danhausen mask who was very excited to meet them. Cabana also told one fan that he loves her and she was somewhat hesitant to reciprocate.

Another fan featured on the show this week had several wrestling-themed tattoos. He had tattoos of Earthquake, Doink, Crush, and was wearing Billy Gunn shorts. Another fan was dressed up as Dusty Rhodes and did a very impressive impersonation of him as well. After the show, they asked a fan how he thinks they did in their match and he only responded that they had nice outfits.

Being the Elite was a special episode this week featuring Colt Cabana and Brandon Cutler.

Cutler and Cabana walked around Rosenburg, Texas, and spoke with fans as AEW was in town for Dynamite and Rampage. The entire episode was just the two of them interacting with people and doing funny little bits with them.

Highlights from this week’s show include a young fan teaching Cabana how to superkick and then pinning him in an impromptu match. The kid and Cabana upheld the code of honor after the short match by shaking hands.

Cabana also asked a fan dressed up as Hulk Hogan why he “kayfabed” him at SmackDown tapings in 2004. Another fan was dressed up as Mistico and they congratulated him on his win over Rocky Romero. They also ran into fans of The Acclaimed, Young Bucks, and more. The two approached the merchandise table as well and discovered that there were no Cutler or Cabana shirts for sale, which did not surprise them.

VIDEO: Being the Elite – ‘Penny For Your Thoughts’

Videos —

The Young Bucks and company were in Cincinnati for this week’s episode.

Last week, Matt Jackson’s own thoughts were angry with him for having messed up the Hung Bucks IP rights deal, which he sold to The Dark Order for an amount of money far lower than he thought. This week, Matt was obsessed with finding out what other members of The Elite are thinking. However, it turns none of them was thinking about anything important at all. Nick Jackson was really enthusiastically daydreaming about eating a steak and Hangman Page wondered if he could still do a cartwheel.

Footage from Brandon Cutler & Colt Cabana vs. Johnny TV & Aaron Solo was also featured on the show.

Will Washington was back on the episode this week too. Kip Sabian had no idea who he was.

The Dark Order approached Matt in the locker room and thanked him for making them rich. They bragged about all the money they’ve been spending from a sponsorship deal they signed with both Chili’s and Wendy’s. They also mentioned they bought Starbucks and renamed it to Hung Bucks Coffee. They gave Matt a sample of their new coffee but the scene ended abruptly when Silver revealed a special ingredient he put in the beverage.

VIDEO: Being the Elite – ‘Inner Thoughts’

Video —

Even Matt Jackson’s own inner thoughts are very disappointed with him.

The fallout of Matt selling the Hung Bucks IP to The Dark Order was featured this week on BTE. John Silver, Alex Reynolds, and Evil Uno introduced themselves as The Hung Backs and sang jingles for both Wendy’s and Chilli’s. After seeing this, Matt was inundated with intrusive negative thoughts about the poor decisions he’s made in recent weeks. The thoughts finally forced Matt to give himself the finger as so many others have done to him of late.

Footage of a “bonus match” Brandon Cutler had with Johnny TV at last week’s Dynamite was shown. The two had quite the dance-off at one point but ultimately it was the former John Morrison who picked up the win.

Sammy Guevara and Matt Sydal engaged in a heated debate over how to eat cereal, i.e. does the milk or the cereal go in the bowl first? Will Washington appeared and said they could settle things for the BTE Championship, which hasn’t been defended in a year. Sydal and Guevara didn’t seem to know what he was talking about.

The camera panned out to reveal BTE Champion Kip Sabian sitting at a table. Guevara and Sydal will have to beat Sabian’s stand-ins (who are also the stand-ins for The Young Bucks) to get a shot at the title. Later in the show, Guevara, Sydal, the stand-ins, and a few others competed to see who could throw Rolos in a paper cup the best.

Ryan Nemeth was featured this week as well. He was getting blood drawn in a doctor’s office and somehow got a numbing agent on his mouth.

VIDEO: Being the Elite – ‘All In Wembley’

Video —

This week’s edition of Being the Elite featured behind-the-scenes footage from AEW All In.

The show did not include any references to the reported physical altercation that took place backstage at the show but footage from London was shown.

Matt & Nick Jackson spoke about finding out Bray Wyatt died last week and said they would be dedicating All In weekend to him and Terry Funk.

Highlights of The Bucks traveling around London were shown as well. The brothers also showed off their gear for the show, which was inspired by Freddie Mercury.

Colt Cabana debuted “The Cabana Cam” this week. Clips he filmed of Brandon Cutler’s match on ROH were shown.

Clips of Ryan Nemeth’s recent ROH performance were also shown. Nemeth attended a Cleveland Guardians game on this week’s show as well and promoted his appearance at Starrcast.

Will Washington was back this week. He continued to play the role of the guy who remembers what happened in previous episodes of BTE.

VIDEO: Being the Elite – ‘Who The Ef Is This Guy?’

Video —

The Young Bucks, Brandon Cutler, Colt Cabana and Ryan Nemeth were all featured on Being The Elite this week.

The Bucks were shown backstage after their win over The Gunn Club on Dynamite and Matt Jackson revealed that somebody has purchased the rights to the Hung Bucks merchandise. However, he doesn’t know who the mystery buyer is.

Nick Jackson was upset with this news but was appeased when Matt said he would take him out for pizza. Will Washington continued his role on the show as the guy who remembers things from previous episodes. He reminded The Bucks that having pizza is how they made up with Cody Rhodes on episode 161.

Ryan Nemeth was also back on the show this week. Nemeth appeared to be taking a break from the SAG AFTRA strike as he was seen visiting a petting zoo in the episode. He asked several animals if they would be going to Wembley for All In and if they feel Adam Cole and MJF can co-exist. At the end of his segment, Nemeth then decided that he is going to begin smoking cigarettes as a way to deal with the stress of the strike. Since he doesn’t really know how to smoke them, however, he just put the cigarette behind his ear to look cool.

Matt Jackson, who recently vacationed with his family in Hawaii, sent out a heartfelt message to all the victims of the recent wildfires in the area near the end of the episode. 100% of the royalties from a special edition Young Bucks t-shirt will go to the Maui Strong Fund

Colt Cabana is in charge —

  • Several people backstage at AEW were upset that Cutler wasn’t there again this week.
  • Cabana asked the camera crew for help but found their technical explanations too boring so he left.
  • Nobody was too impressed with Colt’s filming but he didn’t have his thumb in front of the lens this week, at least.
  • Cabana asked Christopher Daniels to do some of his old bits but he wasn’t interested.
  • Nyla Rose, Anna Jay, Matt Hardy, and others also did not want to do a bit with Cabana.
  • Rose turned him down more than once.
  • Negative One slapped the camera out of his hands.

Rosario Grillo update —

  • Grillo revealed that his fracture has healed and he will be able to return shortly.
  • He is back to 69% Superkick capacity.

Ryan Nemeth and his pets —

  • Nemeth had more questions about wrestling for his pets this week. He wanted to know if Vince McMahon now looks like the guy from the Pringles can with his new mustache.
  • His pets were asked if they will be going to Double or Nothing in Las Vegas next month. Their response was inconclusive.
  • One dog mentioned they don’t watch the modern product and prefer the Attitude Era.

The Dark Order checks in on Brandon Cutler —

  • John Silver & Alex Reynolds visited The Elite in their locker room after Dynamite. Matt Jackson asked them where they were when Hangman Page was getting beat up by the Blackpool Combat Club two weeks ago.
  • The Dark Order told The Elite they’ve been making Cutler’s life hell for the last two years.
  • Omega then said that “Nobody here is friends with Hangman” which drew confused looks from everyone else.
  • Silver pointed out that he has kissed Hangman’s cat, implying that this makes them close friends.
  • Omega told Cutler that while he lost on Dynamite, the way he fought was a moral victory.
  • Later, the Young Bucks told Cutler that he deserved a day off.

Hangman Page watches Dynamite

  • A clip of Hangman Page watching last week’s Dynamite is shown at the end of the video.
  • A shot of his laptop shows Evil Uno has texted him saying they haven’t been able to get through to him and they never would have left the venue if they knew he was going to confront the BCC.

VIDEO: Being the Elite – ‘Stand Tall, Don’t Back Down & Be Elite’

Video —

With the Young Bucks out of action following an attack by the Blackpool Combat Club, and Kenny Omega helping tend to an injured Don Callis, this week’s Being the Elite was just a quick six-minute episode.

Opening —

  • We opened this week with Brandon Cutler and Michael Nakazawa being interviewed in the back from Dynamite last week.
  • Cutler said that they were going to stand up to the “bullies.” Nakazawa and Cutler are scheduled to face Jon Moxley and Claudio Castagnoli on Dynamite this week.

Brandon Cutler works out with a kettle bell —

  • Clips of Brandon Cutler training were shown.
  • The camera then cut to Cutler, seemingly having given up, playing a keyboard.
  • He then sang a ballad while clips of the Blackpool Combat Club and Elite rivalry are shown.

The Young Bucks watch AEW Dynamite —

  • Matt and Nick Jackson were shown watching footage of Hangman Page confronting the Blackpool Combat Club last week.
  • Before the video ended, Matt’s arm brace was shown left on the couch, indicating that he perhaps doesn’t need it anymore.

Cutler was suspended along with Kenny Omega, Matt & Nick Jackson, Pat Buck, Christopher Daniels, Michael Nakazawa, CM Punk, and Ace Steel following the events that transpired at the All Out media scrum.

However, those involved directly (Punk. Omega and the Jacksons) are believed to be still suspended as a third-party investigation into the matter is ongoing.

VIDEO: Being the Elite – ‘Being Brandon Cutler’

Video —

This week’s episode of Being the Elite focussed on Brandon Cutler as Matt & Nick Jackson were feeling too down about their loss against FTR to appear on camera.

Open —

  • The show opened with an intro package featuring shots of just Brandon Cutler. Brandon was also upset that Matt was holding the camera vertically.

Brandon Cutler goes sneaker shopping

  • Much like the Young Bucks often do on BTE, Cutler went shoe shopping this week. His choices were not as extravagant as the Bucks normally get, however, and they mocked him from off camera.

Brandon Cutler tries to give Scorpio Sky candy

  • Much like Matt Jackson often does on BTE, Cutler then tried to offer Scorpio Sky some candy. Instead of a candy bar, however, Cutler offered him a package of nerds. Sky acted like he had no idea what Cutler was talking about.
  • The scene then flipped to Cutler playing basketball and missing all of his shots. He finally hit his last shot and then Nick Jackson came into the scene and super-kicked him.

Adam Cole regains the BTE Championship

  • After winning it last week, Christopher Daniels promised to defend his title against all comers. Cole then entered the scene and said he never got his rematch for the ROH World Championship but he wants another shot at the BTE title. He challenged Daniels to a game of Rock, Paper, Scissors.
  • Much like the game of blackjack last week, the winner would be the first one to win five rounds.
  • In the second round, Daniels seemed to feel that rock beat paper. He was eventually corrected.
  • Cole was the first to win five rounds and regained the BTE Championship.
  • Daniels did the honorable thing and wrapped the title around Cole’s waist.
  • In a final scene, Daniels and Cole apologized to all the world’s blackjack dealers for not knowing the rules last week.
