WWE reportedly interested in reuniting Enzo Amore and Big Cass for return

New reports suggest WWE is interested in reuniting Enzo Amore and Big Cass for a return.

According to WrestleVotes on Fightful Select, WWE is interested in reuniting and bringing back Enzo Amore and Big Cass to the company. They have maintained a positive relationship with several producers backstage including from their NXT days. Big Cass’s AEW contract is reportedly set to expire by the end of May.

A few days ago, Amore was reportedly at the WWE Performance Center. He debuted in WWE in 2012 but was released in 2018 when sexual assault allegations came forward. Later, he made his wrestling return and competed in NJPW, MLW and even made his TNA debut at the 2025 Slammiversary pre-show.

Meanwhile, Cass signed with AEW in 2022 and made his official debut in May that year.

The two united as a heel tag team on NXT in 2013. They challenged for the WWE Tag Team titles on numerous occasions. Amore’s mic skills and Cass’s intimidating stature, made them a fan-favorite with their diverse in-ring personas.

Reported timeline on Stephanie Vaquer’s WWE return

WWE creative is reportedly already discussing plans for Stephanie Vaquer’s return.

According to PWInsider, Vaquer is expected to make a comeback on Raw next week. There have been internal creative discussions already in motion for her return.

On the April 27 edition of Raw, The Judgment Day attacked Vaquer backstage. Later, it was announced that she had suffered a second degree AC sprain in her shoulder which could force her to be out of in-ring action for the ‘foreseeable future’.

Liv Morgan defeated Vaquer at WrestleMania 42 and concluded her 210 day title reign. This was her first WWE title on the main roster, where she defeated IYO SKY at Wrestlepalooza to win the vacant title.

The WrestleMania win also kicked off Morgan’s third Women’s World Championship reign. She was confronted by Sol Ruca on the Raw after Mania, officially marking her main roster move.

Aron Stevens on how NWA helped him reconcile ‘bitter taste’ from WWE & TNA experiences

While Aron Stevens says he would have declined a return to WWE back in 2024, he’s more open to it now while giving praise to the NWA for helping get rid of the “bitter taste” he had from the pro wrestling industry.

Speaking on the Xenia Did That podcast, the former Damien Sandow in WWE was asked whether his WWE return was a closed chapter or something he would consider in the future.

He said there was no desire to with his current schedule and touched on his NWA run helping him reconcile with the bitter taste he had for the industry following his WWE release. He also talked about the change in TNA management which influenced his decision to leave that company.

“I don’t have a desire to (return to WWE). There’s just so many other things that I have on the horizon right now that I finally reconciled and that’s another thing: NWA has been great with me. When I left WWE, I had a very bitter taste for the wrestling industry and in TNA, that was good. That was a lot of fun in TNA and then they switched management and then management got a little you know, I just wasn’t really digging the way the company was going. So, I just left and was out in L.A. doing my thing.”

“And Billy (Corgan) calls, tells me about NWA. Well, I don’t know. He goes, ‘Oh, you got a plane ticket. Come on.’ And then I went to Georgia. Been with him ever since. And it’s truly helped me reconcile some internal stuff, you know what I mean? It’s been good. I don’t despise the industry anymore, you know what I mean? I have a different perspective now.”

Stevens added that his response would have been a definite no if WWE called him back 18 months ago, but now he would be open to considering it.

“If WWE called, it’s not something I really think about. If they called, alright, I would of course listen. I mean, I may say yes, I may say no. There are so many factors that go into that, but I would’ve said no a year and a half ago. I totally would have ve said no. Now it’s like, you never know. You never know, but I’m certainly not like, having any aspirations. I’m far too concerned with trying to do the best I can where I’m at.”

Stevens had two stints with WWE, the first from 2003 to 2007, and then from 2010 to 2016. He had a brief run with the NWA between the WWE runs and eventually made another comeback in 2019 there where he remains an active competitor.

Dean Ambrose returns to WWE Raw

After being on the shelf for nine months, Dean Ambrose made his return to WWE tonight at the end of Monday Night Raw.

The show had been built over Seth Rollins having travel issues getting to the arena. The show concluded with a contract signing between the absent Rollins and Dolph Ziggler for SummerSlam. Ziggler told Angle to rule the match in his favor since Rollins was a no show. Right after he said that, Rollins finally came out. He said he wasn’t late because of his own travel issues, it was because of someone else’s.

At that moment, Ambrose made his return. Both he and Rollins made a beeline toward the ring. Ziggler and Drew McIntyre took the advantage early, but Rollins and Ambrose got the better of the two, with Ambrose laying out McIntyre with the dirty deeds DDT.

Ambrose had been out of action since December with a triceps injury.

Ruby Riott returns to WWE Raw following MCL injury

Ruby Riott was back on Raw tonight after being gone over a month due to injury.

She made her return towards the end of a match pitting her stablemates in the Riott Squad, Liv Morgan and Ruby Riott, against Bayley and Sasha Banks. She emerged under a hooded sweatshirt as Bayley was going after Morgan on the outside. Both she and Morgan then jumped Bayley as Logan rolled up a distracted Banks for the win.

Riott had been out of action since the end of June, spraining her MCL in a match against Dana Brooke at a WWE house show in Rapid City, South Dakota. At the time, it was estimated that she would be about 3-4 weeks.

Since the injury, the Riott Squad have mostly worked matches against Bayley and Sasha Banks on television, usually serving as a backdrop to Bayley and Banks’ own feud, where they recently reconciled and have emerged as a formidable tag team.
