The Women’s Tag Team titles will be on the line in Berlin.
SmackDown General Manager Nick Alids announced on social media Friday that The Unholy Union (Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn) would defend the WWE Women’s Tag Team titles against former champions Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair at Bash in Berlin on August 31.
Fyre and Dawn shocked everyone by winning the titles back in June at Clash at the Castle in their home country of Scotland. Belair & Cargill got their rematch on the August 2 edition of SmackDown. They won the match by DQ when Blair Davenport ran in and made the save for the champions, also saving their belts in the process. Cargill defeated Fyre the following week on SmackDown.
The champions most recently made a successful defense on Raw this past Monday, defeating Damage CTRL and Pure Fusion Collective in a three-way match.
Here is the updated card for Bash in Berlin:
Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes defends against Kevin Owens
WWE World Heavyweight Champion Gunther defends against Randy Orton
WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Unholy Union (Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn) defend against Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair
Dominik Mysterio & Liv Morgan vs. Damian Priest & Rhea Ripley
A championship match will take place on the pre-show for WWE King & Queen of the Ring.

It will be part of the two-hour Countdown to King & Queen of the Ring broadcast that streams live starting at 11 a.m. Eastern time this Saturday. Michael Cole, Corey Graves, Big E, Kayla Braxton, and Wade Barrett will be panelists for the pre-show.
The Women’s Tag Team title match was set up on Friday’s SmackDown. Belair lost to Nia Jax in the Queen of the Ring semifinals on the episode. Backstage after the match, LeRae & Hartwell approached Belair and mocked her. Cargill then stepped in to defend Belair.
Cargill said she was going to speak with Nick Aldis about getting a tag match against LeRae & Hartwell. Later in the show, it was made official.
The Belair vs. Jax match on SmackDown included Belair selling a storyline knee injury. Belair’s hurt knee caused her to lose, giving out when she went to hit the KOD on Jax.
Cargill & Belair won the WWE Women’s Tag Team titles from Asuka & Kairi Sane at Backlash three weeks ago.
A title defense against Shayna Baszler & Zoey Stark will be awaiting the team that leaves King & Queen of the Ring with the Women’s Tag Team titles. On Raw this past Monday, Baszler & Stark won a number one contender’s match.
King & Queen of the Ring is being held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The main card begins at 1 p.m. Eastern.

In just their fourth time teaming together on television, Bianca Belair & Jade Cargill captured tag team gold.
The new duo defeated Damage CTRL’s Asuka & Kairi Sane at Backlash to win the WWE Women’s Tag Team titles. This is Cargill’s first title reign in WWE, and it’s the first time Belair has been a tag team champion in her career.
Asuka & Sane looked to have the match won after an InSane Elbow on Belair, but Cargill broke up the pin. Cargill laid out Sane with Jaded, then Belair dropped Asuka onto Sane with a KOD. Belair pinned Asuka to win the titles.
This was Cargill’s sixth televised match for WWE. After departing AEW last September, Cargill signed with WWE. She then made her WWE in-ring debut this January. WWE started to pair Belair & Cargill together as a team prior to WrestleMania 40.
Belair & Cargill were both drafted to SmackDown in the 2024 WWE Draft. As the Women’s Tag Team Champions, they can appear on every brand. Asuka & Sane can now only appear on Raw.
Asuka & Sane had been champions since winning the Women’s Tag Team titles from Kayden Carter & Katana Chance on the January 26 episode of SmackDown.
An eight-woman tag match is set to take place on the final SmackDown before Backlash.
Bayley, Naomi, Bianca Belair & Jade Cargill will team up against Tiffany Stratton & three members of Damage CTRL on tonight’s SmackDown in Lyon, France. The announcement of the match was made during this afternoon’s Backlash kickoff fan event.
At Backlash, Bayley is defending her WWE Women’s Championship against Naomi and Stratton in a triple threat match. That was made official after Stratton interrupted a title bout between Bayley and Naomi on SmackDown two weeks ago.
Belair & Cargill are challenging Damage CTRL’s Asuka & Kairi Sane for the WWE Women’s Tag Team titles at Backlash. The premium live event streams live on Peacock starting at 1 p.m. Eastern time on Saturday (May 4).

Cargill made her first official appearance as a member of the SmackDown roster earlier in Friday’s episode, officially signing with the brand in an in-ring segment with Aldis.

Belair attempted to save Naomi from a four-on-one attack at the hands of Damage CTRL on Friday’s SmackDown, but ultimately fell victim to the numbers game and Damage CTRL stood tall to end the segment.
A tag team bout with Randy Orton & Kevin Owens teaming against Pretty Deadly’s Elton Prince & Kit Wilson is also set for next week. All four were involved in a backstage promo segment on Friday’s SmackDown, with Owens attacking Pretty Deadly. Charlotte Flair and Bianca Belair are two people who Becky Lynch could wrestle over and over.
During a book signing for Premiere Collectibles, Lynch was asked who her in-ring soulmates are, meaning opponents she could wrestle and work with forever. Lynch responded by naming Charlotte and Belair. Lynch also mentioned that she’s enjoyed working with Nia Jax lately.
The very cool thing about that is I think there’s several. You know, I think Charlotte and I obviously have an undeniable chemistry and an undeniable history. And I think no matter how many times myself and Charlotte have wrestled, I think people are always going to want to see more. And another is Bianca Belair. She’s fabulous. I love stepping in the ring with her. Every time we do, I feel like there’s a little bit of magic that happens.
And so, there’s a couple. There’s a couple. I’ve loved beating the bejesus out of Nia Jax also. I’ve loved it. I’ve loved it. I loved leg-dropping her through an announce table on Monday Night Raw, that was fun.
The main event of Raw this Monday saw Lynch defeat Jax in a Last Woman Standing match. It wrapped up Lynch’s feud with Jax on the road to WrestleMania 40. At WrestleMania, Lynch is challenging Rhea Ripley for the Women’s World Championship.
Belair was Lynch’s opponent at WrestleMania 38 in 2022. She defeated Lynch to win the Raw Women’s Championship.
Lynch and Charlotte have a long history together as both friends and rivals.
Lynch’s memoir, “Becky Lynch: The Man: Not Your Average Average Girl,” is set to be released next Tuesday (March 26).
Though Mercedes Mone is on her way to AEW, Bianca Belair hopes that they can pick up their story again one day.
Belair and Mone (the former Sasha Banks) faced off at WrestleMania 37 in 2021, where they became the first Black women to ever headline WrestleMania. The two also worked together as a tag team in WWE.
In an interview with Gorilla Position, Belair was asked if she wants Mone back in WWE and if it’s a conversation they’ve had together. Belair said they haven’t had that conversation. She wants Mone to do what’s best for her, but Belair thinks there was so much more magic that could have been made between them.
Belair said:
I haven’t had this conversation with her. I don’t know what she wants or what she wants to do. I just want what’s best for her and what she wants to do with her. I’m no one to tell someone what they should do.
What I will say is that we created some magic in the ring at WrestleMania 37. And I think that there was so much more magic to be made. Not even just with us inside the ring, but with me being champion at the time and the tag team champions, I just saw it as so much representation that was on the verge of happening and so much greatness that was going to happen. So the fact that it was all halted at that point, I would love for it to pick back up one day and take off. So I think — we didn’t even touch the tip of the iceberg of what could be done.
After walking out of WWE in 2022, Mone returned to pro wrestling for NJPW and Stardom last year. Mone has been out of action since suffering an ankle injury in May 2023.
Belair recently competed in the women’s Elimination Chamber match at WWE’s Elimination Chamber event in Australia. Becky Lynch won the match, earning a Women’s World Championship shot against Rhea Ripley at WrestleMania 40.
Belair’s full interview with Gorilla Position can be watched below:

An Elimination Chamber qualifying match has been added to the Friday, February 9 WWE SmackDown lineup.

The Elimination Chamber event takes place on Saturday, February 24, with a women’s Chamber match announced for the show. The Chamber match winner will challenge the Women’s World Champion at WrestleMania 40.

Last Saturday’s WWE women’s Royal Rumble match featured a lot of surprises including the return of Naomi, TNA Knockouts Champion Jordynne Grace making her surprise debut, and the official WWE in-ring debut of Jade Cargill.
The inaugural AEW TBS Champion entered at number 28, lasting a total of eleven minutes and three seconds and finding herself in the final three participants. Her notable moments in the Rumble included eliminating Nia Jax, Naomi and Becky Lynch (with help from Naomi).
Following the Rumble, Cargill attended the premiere of Bianca Belair and Montez Ford’s new Hulu reality TV show “Love & WWE,” walking the red carpet alongside her husband former and former MLB player Brandon Phillips.
I caught up with Cargill during that event which you can watch above on YouTube. Here’s some highlights.
Making her WWE in-ring debut
Last September, WWE officially announced that Cargill had signed a multi-year deal. She began making backstage appearances on multiple shows including WWE Fastlane, Raw, SmackDown and even NXT — all while not making her actual in-ring debut.
Then, the Rumble moment happened.
“…I was just ecstatic. The locker room showed me nothing but love. I was a little nervous, but once I heard the sound of the WWE Universe, I felt like I was undeniable.”
As mentioned above, Cargill eliminated Jax in another big moment for her — one she said was “something big” for the division.
“I think Nia Jax is one of the strongest women in the locker room. So for me to just go out there and dominate her and eliminate her, I felt like I was doing something big for the women’s division.”
During the many TV appearances Cargill made when she first joined WWE, she had confrontations with Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair. However, we had not see her meet eye-to-eye with Bianca Belair until the Royal Rumble when both women found themselves across the ring from each other — a tease for something bigger down the road.
“We’re gonna see what happens. I think I would rather work with the great Bianca Belair. I think she’s phenomenal, I think she is great a representation for the African American community and we’re gonna make magic whether we work against each other or together. We’re gonna make magic.”
It is still not known which brand Cargill will officially be part of even though she appeared on Friday’s SmackDown and met with Nick Aldis.
Prior to signing with WWE, Cargill was in AEW from 2020 through the fall of 2023.
During her run there, she became the inaugural and longest running AEW TBS Champion with an epic winning streak, one that lasted 508 days.
“I felt like I would have never gotten a better start other than AEW. That’s me being very honest. I think the veterans in the locker room prepared me for the grander stage at WWE. I got a great experience there, being thrown in the water and being able to swim and survive prepared me for the big stage that WWE has. The locker room, the phenomenal staff that WWE has, I mean they have a front office like no other, I am just excited to be here.”
A new trailer has been released for an upcoming WWE reality series.
All eight episodes of “Love & WWE: Bianca & Montez” with Bianca Belair will premiere on Hulu beginning February 2. The series follows married couple Bianca Belair and Montez Ford in the run-up to WrestleMania 39.
According to TheWrap, topics covered in the series will include Ford being frustrated at not being given more time in the Royal Rumble, and Belair learning to be a stepmother to Ford’s two children from a previous relationship.
“We’re so excited for the world to finally get a glimpse into our life outside of the WWE ring,” Belair and Ford said to TheWrap.
Bianca Belair and Montez Ford’s road to WrestleMania; as Montez continues his ascent, Bianca fights to hold on to her title; with the support of their tight-knit group of friends, family and fellow superstars, the duo pulls off the impossible.
The series was first announced on a WWE earnings call in November 2022, with “The Crawfords” being considered for the title.
Belair spoke to Metro about filming the series last September.
I was always somebody that was like, ‘I will never do reality TV, I have no desire to do it.’ And I learned to never say never very quickly.
It was different for me because everybody sees my husband – who everybody in the ring is who he is at home, he’s high energy, he’s full of life, full of joy, yelling, screaming, singing.
I’m a little bit more low-key and more reserved, I just chill at home and do my DIY projects. I’m used to having the cameras in my face at work and now they’re in my home. How do I just be normal now? I don’t need to turn it on to be Bianca Belair. It’s a different dynamic!

“This is an incredible milestone in my career and I’m so excited to show the world why WWE 2K24is a must-have and the EST game for every WWE fan and gamer,” said Belair.
