After intermission, an Elias musical performance was interrupted by Shinsuke Nakamura and Sami Zayn. All three then performed “I Want It That Way” by Backstreet Boys before Zayn and Nakamura attacked Elias. Elias made his own comeback and then cleared the ring.
A new report indicates that Arn Anderson was fired from WWE because he reportedly let Alicia Fox wrestle intoxicated.
According to WrestlingInc, Alicia Fox reportedly showed up at a house show intoxicated. Anderson, who was the agent for her match, allowed Fox to compete despite this. When word got to Vince McMahon he was reportedly furious, which led to the firing.
Fightful soon after reported that Alicia Fox was offered rehab, but instead went absent to the extent that several in the company had no idea if she was offered rehab or where she was. She has not competed in a match since February 10, when he teamed with Mickie James and Nikki Cross in a losing effort against Bayley, Dana Brooke and Natalya.
In her first post since 2/18, Fox posted the following on Instagram this afternoon: “#resilience /rəˈzilyəns/ noun 1. the capacity to recover quickly from difficulties; toughness And for those w your own opinion #nofoxgiven #fancy #mood #digitaldetox”
Anderson had been with the company since 2002 as a road agent/producer. Alicia Fox has been with WWE since 2006.
Balor won the match originally with a rollup, but Corbin then changed it to a no DQ match and hit Balor with a steel chair for the pin. Corbin mocked a kid in a Balor mask throughout the match and then sent him a Corbin shirt later in the show.
Zack Ryder and Titus Worldwide defeated Mojo Rawley and The Revival
The end came when Ryder hit the Rough Ryder on Rawley for the pin.
– Elias came out and teased a song. Bobby Lashley then came out and Elias tried to get him to sing along with him. Kevin Owens then attacked Lashley and Lashley fought off both guys.
Chad Gable and Bobby Roode defeated The Ascension
Gable hit a blind tag on Roode and hit his Chaos Theory Suplex on Viktor for the pin and win. Roode was surprised, but ultimately happy to win.
Raw Tag Team Champions Dolph Ziggler and Drew McIntyre defeated The B Team and The Deleters of Worlds to retain the titles
The finish came when the champs hit their Zig Zag/Claymore Kick combo on Dallas for the win. After the match, Matt Hardy and Bray Wyatt hugged and Hardy got a standing ovation and “Hardy” chants. Hardy raised Bray’s arm as a show of thanks and appeared really emotional. With Hardy’s tweet later in the night, this felt like a possible retirement.
No Way Jose defeated Jinder Mahal
Jose pinned the former champion with a rollup.
Raw Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey submitted Alexa Bliss to retain
Rousey won with the armbar and had the biggest ovation for anyone I have ever seen at a show here. Mickie James and Alicia Fox were in cowgirl gear at ringside constantly interfering before Rousey took them both out. This was easily the hottest match of the night with crowd reaction.
WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns defeated Braun Strowman by DQ to retain
Reigns won after interference from Ziggler and McIntyre. Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins then made the save in their Shield getup. Fans got sent home happy when The Shield put Ziggler through a table. Both Reigns and Strowman got really strong positive reactions during their entrance and there were lots of “Roman” chants during the match.
Ronda Rousey wrestled in her first ever house show event in Geneva, Switzerland this afternoon.
Rousey made the hot tag in a match where she teamed up with Natalya and Ember Moon to take on the team of Mickie James, Liv Morgan and Ruby Riott. Rousey took out Morgan on the outside then took out James and Riott with judo maneuvers and strikes in the corner. Rousey took down James then applied the armbar for the quick submission.
The match in Geneva was originally set to be a singles match pitting Rousey against James. But apparently, something happened that led the match to being changed into a six woman tag team match.
Rousey’s first singles match instead appears to be for the Raw women’s title. She and Nia Jax were both at the NBC Universal upfronts in New York this past Monday when Jax challenged Rousey to a match, which she eventually accepted. The match will take place on June 17 at Money in the Bank.

SAnItY (Alexander Wolfe and Eric Young) def. The Authors of Pain
This was a physical match that SAnitY won after hitting the combo backdrop/second rope neckbreaker. There were tons of “EY” chants and after the match which he acknowledged by thanking and bowing to the crowd.
Marcel Barthel def. Fabian Aichner
Barthel got insane heat for a small crowd as there was a lot of anti-German hatred. Some of it was in good fun with silver medal chants (referencing Olympic hockey), but some went a little too far. Aichner got a decent reaction mainly just to shut up Barthel. The match featured chain wrestling and athleticism that grabbed the crowd quick. Barthel reversed a powerbomb position into a roll up with the tights for the win.
We got a quick video of Aliyah trash talking Barrie and talking up her love for Toronto to get heat.
Killian Dain def. Roderick Strong
Both guys were over big, but there no favorites, just lots of competing chants. Fans loved Strong superplexing Dain off the top. Dain got lots of “shave your back” chants, but they still loved him. Dain hit his finisher for the win.
Ricochet def. Buddy Murphy
There was a small section of the crowd popping big for Murphy. We even got dueling chants to begin the match and both guys had the fans compete to see who was loudest. This was a very athletic match with high energy and was nearly match of the night. Ricochet won with a fireman’s carry into a front driver similar to Dains finisher.
Intermission
NXT Women’s Champion Ember Moon def. Aliyah and Nikki Cross in a three-way
The crowd chanted “705” (area code) at Aliyah, and Cross joined in. Cross was more over to this crowd than Ember was, playing crazy which the crowd loved. There wasn’t a lot of big spots in the match which ended when Ember scored the pin on Aliyah after hitting an eclipse on Nikki and Aliyah at the same time. Aliyah was the last one in the ring and got a “hey hey goodbye” chant from the crowd.
Aleister Black def. Velveteen Dream
Dream came out with a hockey stick and threw it in the garbage. Even after this, he was over huge with the crowd and got the second largest pop of the night. He teased throwing his shirt to fans and then dropped it, and they still cheered. All the kids were chanting for Black and all the dudes were chanting for Dream. This was Aanother super competitive match like at TakeOver. Dream lifted Black with his foot, teasing hitting him with Black Mass, but just as he got to a standing position, Black hit Dream with Black Mass for the pin and win.
Johnny Gargano and Candice LeRae def. NXT Champion Andrade Cien Almas and Zelina Vega
“Johnny Wrestling” was over huge as lots of fans from his indie days popped like crazy for him. When Candice was in the ring, she got the “Mrs. Wrestling” chants. This match was filled with high paced action. Gargano sold for a while and got Candice the hot tag. LeRae got the win as they both had their opponents in Gargano Locks. Both faces took a long time to take pics and talk with all the ringside fans after the show.
Notes:
– 70% of the crowd were locals to the Barrie Wrestling shows, and tried to get their own stuff over in chants. There was lots of chants for Hornet (a ref) as he was inducted into the Barrie Wrestling HOF that day. Gargano gave the mic to Hornet for the final speech of the night before they ended the show which was a great move.
– Fans were really kid friendly at this one. A 5 year old in a Finn Balor costume led a lot of chants and was pretty funny.
– Jeremy Borash looked to be running the show as he was running all over the place dealing with all different crews.

– Neville defeated Bo Dallas in a squash match, pinning him after hitting the Red Arrow within minutes.
– WWE Universal Champion Kevin Owens pinned Seth Rollins in a street fight after hitting the pop-up powerbomb following Jericho’s interference.
This involved Owens and Rollins taking bumps on chairs, and Rollins going through a table. Post pinfall, Owens cut a promo on the crowd and Rollins saying we didn’t deserve him. Rollins then pedigreed Jericho behind Owens, and took a bit of a beatdown before powerbombing Owens through a table set up against the turnbuckle.
– Enzo & Cass, The Golden Truth and Darren Young def. Jinder Mahal, Titus O’Neil, The Shining Stars and Curtis Axel
– Adrian Neville def. Bo Dallas with the Red Arrow
– Braun Stroman squashed Sin Cara
SC got crushed. Crowd seemed bummed, bored, or both.
– Cesaro defeated Chris Jericho with a big swing into the Sharpshooter
Jericho had a lengthy pre-match promo to make the crowd boo him and he succeeded. They probably gave him the biggest ovation of the night, but he succeeded in turning the crowd against him rather quickly. Just so you know, Minnesota does not go on the list, but Wisconsin does. It was quite a swerve and angered the crowd – he had his pen prepped and everything!
– US Champion Roman Reigns defeated Rusev with a spear to retain
Okay match with a lot more Reigns support than I expected based on what I’ve read.
– WWE Women’s Champion Sasha Banks/Bayley/Alicia Fox defeated Charlotte/Dana Brooke/Nia Jax
– WWE Tag Team Champions The New Day beat Gallows + Anderson
– WWE Universal Champion Kevin Owens beat Seth Rollins and Sami Zayn after a sit-out powerbomb
Owens delivered a promo hyping Hell in a Cell, and after Rollins and Zayn chased him out of the ring, Zayn offered Seth his hand. After the usual tease they shook, Rollins cut a promo promising to win the title, and told Zayn he’d be proud to defend against Sami first after doing so.

– Braun Strowman defeated Goldust
Strowman won with his head and arm choke in a quick match. Good reaction for Goldust.
– Big Show defeated the Shining Stars in a handicap match.
Some good laughs in this one, almost all at Primo and Epico’s expense. Big Show won with a double chokeslam.
– Cesaro defeated Sheamus in match four of their best-of-seven series. Sheamus now holds a 3-1 advantage in the series.
Very good match. It went 20 minutes and built up well as it went on. Cesaro reversed out of a leg submission hold to roll Sheamus up for the pin.
– Raw Women’s Champion Charlotte defeated Sasha Banks to retain her title.
Banks’ back held up well over 10 minutes, and the match got a good reaction. Charlotte got out of the Banks Statement, then rolled Sasha up and pulled her trunks to pick up the win.
– Roman Reigns defeated Chris Jericho
Tremendous amount of booing towards Reigns. Jericho was very entertaining with his pre-match promo, and entertained during the match as well. Well worked contest which went around 15 minutes. Jericho got the fans thinking he’d win with the Walls of Jericho, but Reigns got out and hit the spear.
– WWE Universal Champion Kevin Owens defeated Sami Zayn and Seth Rollins in a triple threat match to retain his title.
Rollins looked good as a main event babyface, even though Zayn was loved by everyone. Good three-way spots, including dives by Rollins and Zayn. Zayn hit the Helluva Kick on Rollins, but Owens hit the Pop-Up Powerbomb for the win.
Zayn hit the Helluva Kick and Rollins hit the Pedigree on Owens after the match to send the fans home happy. Rollins and Zayn shook hands after.
The next show in London is on November 4th at SSE Arena Wembley, featuring the Raw roster, and Owens vs. Rollins was advertised.
