WWE Raw on Netflix anniversary episode returns show to Netflix global top ten

The much-celebrated first anniversary of WWE Raw on Netflix vaulted the show back into the Netflix global top ten according to the streamer’s Tudum chart.

The January 5 episode brought in a reported 3.2 million global views and 5.9 million global hours viewed, headlined by WWE World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk defending the title against Bron Breakker.

The episode finished tenth overall on a chart where half of the spots are still being taken up by every season of Stranger Things. It placed sixth overall in the United States and was a top ten show in nine countries worldwide.

It’s the first time the show has charted globally since December 8, 2025.

WWE NXT ratings up for New Year’s Evil 2026

Tuesday night’s WWE NXT episode — the brand’s annual New Year’s Evil special — averaged 627,000 viewers on The CW, up 3.8 percent from last week. It’s the best audience total for the show since December 9.

In the 18-49 demo, NXT drew a 0.10 rating. That’s up 42.9 percent from last week and is the highest rating the show has done in that category since November 18.

As compared to the same week in 2025, when Nielsen was still using its old panel-only ratings reporting method, NXT’s overall viewership was down 21.4 percent while the 18-49 rating was down 52.4 percent.

WWE SmackDown ratings up for move to three hours

Friday night’s WWE SmackDown episode averaged 1.175 million viewers on USA Network, up 3.3 percent from the previous week. It’s the second-largest audience total for the show since November 21.

This was the first SmackDown episode of 2026 and marked the return to a three-hour format. The show drew a 0.28 rating in the 18-49 demo, which is up 3.7 percent from the prior week and ties the best rating SmackDown has done in that category since the November 21 edition.

As compared to the same week in 2025, (which used Nielsen’s old panel-only reporting method), SmackDown’s overall viewership was down 23.1 percent while the 18-49 rating was down 37.8 percent.

WWE NXT viewership remains steady, 18-49 demo decreases

Last week’s WWE NXT averaged 604,000 viewers on The CW, up 0.3% from the previous week and the second highest audience for the show since November 18.

The Tuesday, December 30 show averaged a 0.07 rating in the 18-49 demo, down 12.5% from the prior week and tying the lowest rating the show has done in that category in its history. It finished last among the English language broadcast networks on the night.

As compared to the same week in 2024 and using Nielsen’s prior ratings measurement system, overall viewership was down 3.5% while the 18-49 rating was down 53.3%.

WWE NXT ratings steady for Christmas week episode

The December 23 episode of WWE NXT averaged 602,000 viewers on The CW, down 0.8 percent from the previous week. This marks the fourth-highest audience for the show since October 14.

In the 18-49 demo, NXT drew a 0.08 rating. That’s identical to the rating the December 16 episode drew and matches the third-highest rating the show has done in that category since October 14. Among network programming in prime time, NXT tied a repeat episode of the Fox series “Doc” for the lowest rated show of the night.

As compared to the same week in 2024 (under Nielsen’s old panel-only ratings measurement system), NXT’s overall viewership was down 16.7 percent while the 18-49 rating was down 42.9 percent.

WWE SmackDown drops below one million viewers for pre-taped episode

The December 19 pre-taped edition of WWE SmackDown averaged 995,000 viewers on USA Network, down 19.8 percent from the previous week. It’s the lowest audience total for the show since Halloween night.

In the 18-49 demo, SmackDown drew a 0.21 rating. That’s down 19.2 percent from the prior week and is also the lowest rating SmackDown has done since the Halloween night episode.

The show went head-to-head with a College Football Playoff game that combined for nearly 15 million viewers between ABC & ESPN and drew a 3.15 rating in 18-49. SmackDown finished ahead of everything else on television in the key demo.

There was also competition from the undercard of Netflix’s Jake Paul vs. Anthony Joshua boxing special that took place on the same night.

As compared to the same week in 2024 (which used Nielsen’s old panel-only reporting method), SmackDown’s overall viewership was down 25 percent while the 18-49 rating was down 43.2 percent.

Tuesday night’s WWE NXT episode averaged 607,000 viewers on The CW, down 6.2 percent from the previous week. Despite the decrease, this is the third-highest audience total for the show since October 14.

In the 18-49 demo, NXT drew a 0.08 rating. That’s down 11.1 percent from last week but ties the fourth-highest rating the show has done in that category since the October 14 episode.

There was no major sports competition on the night, although a college basketball game did air head-to-head on ESPN and averaged a 0.28 rating in the 18-49 demo.

As compared to the same week in 2024, when Nielsen was still using its panel-only measurement system, NXT’s overall viewership was down 14.3 percent while the 18-49 rating was down 50 percent.

WWE SmackDown draws best viewership in three months

Friday night’s WWE SmackDown episode averaged 1.24 million viewers on USA Network, up 16.7 percent from the previous week. It’s the best audience for the show since September 19, which was before Nielsen switched over to its new Big Data + Panel ratings system.

The show took place on the eve of John Cena’s retirement match but did not include an appearance by Cena himself. It drew a 0.26 rating in the 18-49 demo. That’s up 8.3 percent from the prior week but ties the second-lowest rating SmackDown has done in that category since October 31.

SmackDown topped all of television in the key demo on Friday night. The most significant sports competition was women’s college basketball on ESPN2 with two games that each partially ran head-to-head with SmackDown. Those games ranked second and fourth on the cable charts for the night.

As compared to the same week in 2024 (which used Nielsen’s old panel-only reporting system), SmackDown’s overall viewership was down 19 percent while the 18-49 rating was down 44.7 percent.

WWE Raw returns to Netflix global top ten after two week absence

For the first time in two weeks, WWE Raw was back in the Netflix global top ten after a Stranger Things dominated stretch.

The December 8 edition of the show brought in 2.5 million global viewers and 4.4 million global views, down from the last reported numbers of 3.1 million global views and 5.8 million global views for the November 17 episode.

The show was the Raw go-home prior to John Cena’s final match on WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event. While Cena did not appear, Gunther did.

The top spot globally went to season one of Man vs. Baby starring Rowan Atkinson with 19.1 million global views and 37.6 million global hours viewed. All five seasons of Stranger Things remained in the top 10 with the next batch of episodes being released on Christmas night.

  • The episode was tenth globally and fifth in the U.S., finishing in the top ten in three countries (U.S., Canada, and Trinidad and Tobago).

WWE NXT ratings up for Deadline fallout

Tuesday night’s episode of WWE NXT averaged 647,000 viewers on the CW Network, up 21.6% from the previous week. It was the second highest audience for the show since October 14th.

NXT averaged a 0.09 rating in the 18-49 demo. That’s up 12.5% from last week and was also the second best rating the show has done in that category since the October 14th episode.

The show went head to head with NBA Cup games on Amazon Prime along with a slew of holiday related specials on the major networks that dominated the ratings charts.

As compared to the same week in 2024, and under Nielsen’s previous ratings reporting method, the overall viewership was down 4.9% while the 18-49 rating was down 47.1%.

The December 2 episode of WWE NXT averaged 532,000 viewers on The CW, down 7.6 percent from the previous week. This marks the lowest audience total for the show since November 4.

In the 18-49 demo, NXT drew a 0.08 rating. That’s down 33 percent from the prior week but ties the third-highest rating the show has done in that category since October 14.

The main sports competition was the NBA on NBC which averaged 2.65 million viewers overall and a 0.47 rating in the 18-49 demo. NXT was also up against CBS’ ratings juggernauts “NCIS” and “NCIS: Origins,” with those programs taking the top two spots on all of television in total viewers and the key demo.

As compared to the same week in 2024 (under Nielsen’s old panel-only ratings measurement system), NXT’s overall viewership was down 10.3 percent while the 18-49 rating was down 38.5 percent.

Friday night’s WWE SmackDown episode averaged 1.21 million viewers on USA Network, up 4.5 percent from the previous week. This marks the best audience total for the show since Nielsen switched over to its new reporting system for ratings.

SmackDown ranked second on cable, and third overall on television, with a 0.29 rating in the 18-49 demo. That’s up 7.4 percent from last week and matches the highest rating the show has done under the new Big Data + Panel model.

The show went head-to-head with a college football game on ESPN that topped all of TV with a 0.47 rating in 18-49.

As compared to the same week in 2024, under the old panel-only system, SmackDown’s overall viewership was down 23.3 percent while the 18-49 rating was down 37 percent.

WWE Raw November 17 viewership hits highest mark in over three months

WWE’s recent surge of increased viewership for Raw and John Cena’s final run in the company continued for the November 17 episode.

Released via the weekly Tudum report, the show did 3.1 million global views, up from the previous week’s 2.8 million global views and their highest number since August 4. The show had 5.8 million global hours viewed, also the highest mark since August 4.

The show was billed as Cena’s final appearance from Madison Square Garden and his final match in the famed venue as was teased on social media throughout the day. It also featured more matches in his The Last Time is Now tournament.

For big domestic competition, it was up against the Dallas Cowboys vs. Las Vegas Raiders Monday Night Football game.

Since tying a record low of 2.3 million global viewers on October 27, Raw has seen three straight weeks of increased viewership.

The top show globally for the week was the eight-episode series The Beast In Me (14.1 million global views/93.2 million global hours viewed).

  • The episode increased to sixth globally and remained at third in the United States, finishing in the top 10 in 19 countries.
  • The listed 1:48 run time was four minutes up from the previous week’s 1:44.
  • The average for the last ten weeks increased slightly to 2.47 million global views while the 4.88 million global hours were virtually identical.

WWE NXT gets ratings increase for Gold Rush week one

Week one of Gold Rush 2025 earned WWE NXT a noticeable ratings increase.

Tuesday’s NXT special averaged 650,000 viewers on The CW, an improvement of 17 percent from last week. The episode aired live from The Theater at Madison Square Garden in New York City and featured several title matches, including Jacy Jayne defeating Tatum Paxley to regain the NXT Women’s Championship.

Gold Rush drew a 0.11 rating in the 18-49 demo, which is up 57 percent from last week. In both overall viewership and the key demo, these are the best numbers for NXT since October 14.

The top-rated show on all of television on Tuesday night was ABC’s Dancing with the Stars, averaging more than seven million viewers and drawing a 1.50 rating in 18-49. There was sports competition from college basketball, the NBA, and the college football playoff rankings show.
