Giulia wins women’s Iron Survivor Challenge at WWE NXT Deadline

Giulia has earned a NXT Women’s Championship bout.

The former Stardom star was successful in the main event of Saturday’s NXT Deadline, defeating Wren Sinclair, Zaria, Stephanie Vaquer, and Sol Ruca to earn a future Women’s Championship match. With each participant earning one pinfall, Giulia pinned Zaria with a knee strike to earn a second pinfall with seconds left in the match. Stephanie Vaquer quickly attempted a magistral cradle but wasn’t quick enough to beat the clock, giving Giulia the win.

Giulia’s title match will take place at New Year’s Evil on January 7 in Los Angeles. She and the current champion, Roxanne Perez, previously met in October on the premiere of NXT on the CW. Perez successfully retained the title that night.

The opening of Deadline saw Oba Femi make a surprise return, scoring three pinfalls to become the number one contender for the NXT Championship. He will now challenge for that title at New Year’s Evil. Trick Williams, the current champion, successfully retained the title on Saturday by defeating Ridge Holland.

Ridge Holland earns WWE NXT title match for Deadline, Chase U forced to disband

It’s on for Ridge Holland and Trick Williams, but it’s all over for Chase U.

In the main event of Tuesday’s NXT, Ridge Holland defeated Andre Chase in a number one contender’s match for the NXT Championship, earning a title match for Deadline on December 7. The stipulation had been if Chase were to lose, the relationship between him and Chase U members Riley Osborne, Thea Hail, and Duke Hudson would come to an end.

Towards the end of the match, Chase made a fierce comeback after all of his students were laid out at ringside, including Hail after Osborne accidently took her out while going for a dive on Holland. Chase hit a middle rope powerbomb for a nearfall, but ended up falling to the Redeemer (implant DDT) for the win.

The end of NXT saw Chase near tears as he looked at his fallen students, despondent over the results.

Shortly after NXT ended, Chase U reacted to the news on social media, including Chase:

  • Men’s Iron Survivor Challenge: Wes Lee vs. Je’Von Evans vs. Nathan Frazer vs. 2 others TBD
