Jeff Hardy returns to TNA at Against All Odds

Jeff Hardy is back in TNA.

Hardy made his return to the promotion at Friday’s Against All Odds event, saving brother Matt from an attack at the hands of The System following the show’s main event. Jeff had last wrestled for TNA/Impact in 2017.

The System’s Moose defeated Matt to retain the TNA World title in the show-closing bout on Friday, then The System continued to attack Matt and Reby Hardy after the match. Joe Hendry ran in to try for the save but was overwhelmed by The System.

Jeff’s music then played and “The Charismatic Enigma” ran in with a customized steel chair to clear the ring and save his brother, sister-in-law, and Hendry, punctuating the segment with a Swanton Bomb on Moose.

The Hardys, Hendry, and Nic & Ryan Nemeth posed together in the ring to close the event.

Jeff’s AEW contract was reportedly set to expire this month, two months after Matt’s AEW deal ran out. Matt rejoined TNA in April.

As a duo, The Hardys are two-time former TNA Tag Team Champions. Jeff has also held the company’s World title three times. Matt is a two-time TNA World Champion.

WWE NXT’s Tatum Paxley answers open challenge at TNA Against All Odds

WWE NXT’s Tatum Paxley answered Jordynne Grace’s open challenge for a TNA Knockouts World title match at Friday’s Against All Odds event.

Paxley was the surprise opponent in Grace’s Knockouts title defense on Friday’s show, with Grace retaining with a Juggernaut Driver for the pinfall victory:

The NXT talent appearance at Against All Odds follows Grace challenging Roxanne Perez for the NXT Women’s Championship at last Sunday’s Battleground event. Paxley was part of a mid-match angle at Battleground where she tried to steal the Knockouts title belt before being thwarted by Ash by Elegance. Ash, the former Dana Brooke, watched the title match at Against All Odds from the ramp and was involved in a post-match angle with Grace.

Grace issued the open challenge first in an interview on Busted Open, then followed up on ensuing episodes of TNA Impact. Grace had heavily insinuated on social media that WWE’s Natalya would answer the challenge:

Tag match added to TNA Against All Odds

A tag team bout has been added to the card for TNA Against All Odds.

After squaring off as opponents at the Rebellion pay-per-view in April and again on last week’s Impact episode, Mike Santana and Steve Maclin are now set to team against Trey Miguel and Zachary Wentz of The Rascalz at Against All Odds set for Friday, June 14.

Miguel and Wentz interfered in the Santana vs. Maclin rematch on last week’s Impact, leading to a segment on this week’s episode where Santana and Maclin agreed to set their differences aside to pursue their common enemies:

As she revealed in an interview on Busted Open last week, Jordynne Grace defending the Knockouts World Championship at Against All Odds in an open challenge was also officially announced during Thursday’s Impact.

Three title matches official for TNA Against All Odds

The TNA World, X-Division, and Tag Team titles will be on the line at Against All Odds.

TNA officially announced the first three matches for Against All Odds during this week’s Impact episode, all of them title bouts.

World Champion Moose will defend his title against Matt Hardy at Against All Odds. Hardy’s team was victorious over Moose’s team in a trios match at Under Siege earlier this month to set up the title bout.

X-Division Champion Mustafa Ali will defend his title against Trent Seven at Against All Odds following the events of this week’s Impact. Seven defeated Mike Bailey in a number one contender’s match after interference from Champagne Singh allowed Seven to secure the victory.

The Tag Team titles will also be on the line at Against All Odds, with The System’s Brian Myers & Eddie Edwards defending against Nic Nemeth & Ryan Nemeth.

Nic made his return on Thursday’s Impact to save Hardy & Ryan from a beatdown at the hands of Moose, Myers, and Edwards and setting up the title bout.

Against All Odds will stream on TNA Plus on Friday, June 14 at 8 p.m. Eastern time. The current lineup:

  • TNA World Champion Moose defends against Matt Hardy
  • TNA X-Division Champion Mustafa Ali defends against Trent Seven
