Paragon vs. Grizzled Young Veterans set for Thursday’s AEW Collision on TBS
Once again, AEW Collision is moving to another day and network.
Following a confrontation between the two teams, it was announced that Paragon (Roderick Strong and Kyle O’Reilly) will face Grizzled Young Veterans this Thursday on AEW Collision, which will air on TBS. The show is being preempted from its normal time slot due to NHL coverage and would have also gone head-to-head with WWE’s Saturday Night’s Main Event.
Adam Cole was talking about having a target behind his back when Grizzled Young Veterans confronted the trio, challenging Strong and O’Reilly to a match. They also told Cole to be at ringside so he could see his teammates lose. The challenge was accepted for next week in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Collision’s timeslot has changed several times in the last few weeks due to NHL and NBA coverage. It will change even more next month when AEW airs both of their shows in back-to-back four hour blocks for their upcoming Summer Blockbuster and Fyter Fest events.
The updated card for next week’s Collision:
AEW Dynamite, Thursday, May 22 on TBS —
- Paragon vs. Grizzled Young Veterans
Next AEW Collision to air Thursday on TBS
Collision is switching around its timeslot once again.
On Saturday it was announced that the next episode of Collision will air this coming Thursday on TBS as opposed to Saturday on TNT due to NHL playoffs taking place during its normal timeslot.
The announcement continues the trend of Collision being moved around. This week’s show also aired on TBS as opposed to TNT, and last week’s show aired 30 minutes later than usual due to NBA coverage. The first move to Thursday took place during the week of WrestleMania 41 so that the program wouldn’t go head-to-head with WWE’s biggest show of the year.
Two back-to-back four hour blocks of Dynamite and Collision are also set to air next month: Fyter Fest on June 4 and Summer Blockbuster the following week.
The end of this week’s show saw FTR defeat Paragon (Roderick Strong & Kyle O’Reilly) in a two out of three falls match. As they celebrated their win, Daniel Garcia came out and confronted the two as they brutally attacked the former TNT Champion a week prior. He challenged FTR to a match next week, though details are not yet confirmed.

Next episode of AEW Collision to air on TBS
AEW Collision is moving to another network this week.
It was announced that Collision will be airing live in its normal streaming timeslot this coming Saturday on Max, but on cable will air on TBS as opposed to TNT, which will be airing an Avengers movie marathon that night.
Collision has had its timeslot change several times in 2025, usually due to sports. The most recent episode of Collision aired roughly a half hour later than usual due to NBA coverage. The week before, it aired on a Thursday in order to avoid going head-to-head with the first day of WrestleMania.
In June, AEW is set to air back-to-back episodes of Dynamite and Collision as part of a four-hour block of special events. The first will be Fyter Fest on June 4 in Denver, Colorado, with AEW Summer Blockbuster taking place the following week in Portland, Oregon. For these shows, Dynamite will air on TBS, with Collision airing immediately after on TNT.
WBD promotes AEW’s 2023 viewership & demo success

As the final year of their contract is underway with their future together still in doubt, Warner Bros. Discovery sent out a media release Friday touting the ratings and viewership success of AEW in 2023.
Some of the highlights WBD pointed out:
- AEW programming on both TBS & TNT ranked in the top 10 of all cable programming 72 times in what they called the “coveted demo” of under 50. 50 of those occurrences ranked in the top five of the demo.
- AEW programming on TBS & TNT reached 15.6 million total viewers in the fourth quarter, up 3% year-over-year.
- AEW programming reached nearly four million viewers each week across TNT & TBS.
They then shifted to this past Wednesday’s Dynamite which they stated was cable’s “most-watched live sports program on the night among P25-54 and second-most watched live sports program on the night among P18-49. The program was also up double digits in both demos vs. last week’s AEW Dynamite telecast.”
Wednesday’s show averaged 797,000 viewers and an .029 rating in the 18-49 demo. The former was the second-lowest total since October 25th while the demo was the third-highest AEW has done since October 18th.
WBD met with WWE regarding the rights to Raw in December 2023 with CM Punk being credited as reasons talked opened up.
AEW head Tony Khan has repeatedly said he would like to remain on WBD as he believes in loyalty, but that he feels there is a lot of interest in AEW programming. When asked about WBD and WWE talking, Khan said “It’s part of sports.”
AEW part of $1 million merchandise donation to Toys for Tots

AEW, Jazwares and TBS will team up to donate $1 million worth of both AEW action figures and toys to Toys for Tots this holiday season.
Tony Schiavone made the announcement during Tuesday’s Dynamite on behalf of AEW head Tony Khan. Khan later tweeted that the 50,000 toy donation will be part of an episode of Dynamite and will be “the biggest toy giveaway in pro wrestling history.”
This Christmas!
Coming to Wednesday Night #AEWDynamite:
The biggest toy giveaway in pro wrestling history!
Over 50,000 @AEW toys donated to Toys for Tots
Over a million dollars in Toys
Thanks to our partners at @Jazwares, @TBSNetwork, and all of you fans who made this possible!— Tony Khan (@TonyKhan) October 11, 2023
Jazwares is the manufacturer of AEW action figures in addition to plush toys and replica title belts while TBS (via WBD) is the weekly domestic TV home of Dynamite.
While AEW has been involved in charitable donations before, this is the first time they have made a donation of this level to Toys for Tots. They have worked with the organization in the past on a toy drive as part of the 2021 Winter is Coming event in Garland, Texas.
Via their AEW Together charitable arm, the company held a July 2023 toy drive along with Ethan Page for Big Brothers Big Sisters of the greater Hamilton (Canada) area. They also worked with Jazwares Cares on a separate July event.
Proud to announce we @Jazwares are donating over $1 million in AEW action figures and toys along with our friends @TonyKhan and @TBSNetwork to @ToysForTots_USA this holiday & Christmas season. ❤️ pic.twitter.com/Yo09F2jdYn

AEW ‘All Access’ reality show to premiere on TBS this March

Tony Khan’s important announcement on Dynamite was the launch of a new AEW reality show set to premiere next month.
Khan had Adam Cole make the announcement during Wednesday’s show that AEW All Access will premiere sometime in March, and would air following AEW Dynamite. Variety reported right after the announcement was made that names such as Cole, Britt Baker, Sammy Guevara, Tay Conti, The Young Bucks, Saraya, Wardlow, and Eddie Kingson will be appearing on the one-hour show. A premiere date has not been set.
“We’re always looking for new ways to engage with fans and give them unique access to our incredible talent,” Khan told Variety. “With the new ‘AEW: All Access’ series, they’ll have a chance to peek behind the curtain and into the lives of their favorite wrestlers like never before. To show the human side of some of these larger-than-life figures will give fans a rare perspective about who these wrestlers are when the cameras aren’t typically on.”
Cole also said that on the same night the reality show debuts, he will make his in-ring return to the company. He has been out of action since last June dealing with concussion issues.
A previous reality show featuring AEW talent, Rhodes to the Top, aired for one season back in 2021 on TNT that focused on Cody & Brandi Rhodes and their family.

Report: AEW behind-the-scenes docuseries to begin filming in November

Warner Bros Discovery is moving ahead with a ‘behind-the-scenes’ documentary series focussed on AEW.
In May, AEW sent out a survey announcing the series was in the works and asking fans to help name it. AEW also revealed that the show will “track our core cast on the road at AEW events as they try to hold onto the titles they have or win back the ones they’ve lost, with everything culminating at the biggest Pay-Per-View event of the year.”
According to a report from Fightful Select, AEW staff and talent were informed this past week that filming for the project will begin on November 2 when AEW Dynamite emanates from the Chesapeake Arena in Baltimore. It will continue for six weeks until Winter is Coming on December 14 from Garland, Texas. Tony Khan will serve as Executive Producer. The project will be a collaboration between Warner Bros Discovery and Shed Media. It is expected to air sometime in 2023.
Warner Bros Discovery US Networks Group chair and chief content office Kathleen Finch spoke to the Hollywood Reporter earlier this month about looking to create AEW content “that’s not in a wrestling ring.”
“We really play in the sports space. One of the things that we’re doing around sports is creating shoulder programming to hold onto those fans. AEW pulls huge numbers, so we are working with the wrestling team to figure out what new kind of content can we build that’s not in a wrestling ring,” she said.
New ‘behind-the-scenes’ AEW series in the works at TBS

It appears that a new “behind-the-scenes” AEW series is in the works at TBS.
Ringleaders, a survey platform that was launched by WarnerMedia in 2019, has sent out a survey asking for fans’ help in naming a new AEW show that is coming to TBS. Every episode of the show will “track our core cast on the road at AEW events as they try to hold onto the titles they have or win back the ones they’ve lost, with everything culminating at the biggest Pay-Per-View event of the year.”
The survey included 11 names as potential options for the show: AEW: Friends and Enemies, AEW: Fight to the Finish, AEW: To the Mat, AEW: To the Top, AEW: Road to the Belt, AEW: Breakout, AEW: Grit and Glory, AEW: All Access, AEW: The Climb, AEW: On the Ropes, and AEW: Uprise.
TNT’s Rhodes to the Top previously provided a behind-the-scenes look at AEW. That show had been picked up for a second season, but its stars — Cody and Brandi Rhodes — departed AEW this February.
The full survey is available below:
A new AEW show is coming to TBS! We want to know what you think this new show should be named in the below survey.
This is your chance to voice your opinion on a key part of the the development & marketing process and we’re excited to hear what you have to say!
Below is a brief description of the new show.
AEW’s top performers are ushering in a new behind-the-scenes wrestling series like no other… Every episode will track our core cast on the road at AEW events as they try to hold onto the titles they have or win back the ones they’ve lost, with everything culminating at the biggest Pay-Per-View event of the year. They all hope to walk away champions, but there aren’t enough belts for everybody. Heroes will rise, villains will fall, champions will be crowned… and with more access, more star talent, and more drama than ever before, we’ll see it all through the eyes of the biggest names in the company.
As you may know, TV networks often consider different titles for their TV series. We would like to ask you about a few potential titles for the upcoming season and get your opinions on them.
How much do you like each of the potential names for the this new AEW show?
AEW: FRIENDS AND ENEMIES

AEW Dynamite moving to TBS on January 5, Rampage staying on TNT

The official date for AEW Dynamite moving to TBS became official Thursday along with news that Rampage will remain on TNT.
Dynamite will begin in their new U.S. broadcast home on January 5, 2022, first announced in Variety. Until that time, the show will remain on TNT in their usual day and time as expected outside two October NHL preemptions that will see them move to Saturday.
Originally tabbed for TBS as well, Rampage will now remain on TNT in the same Friday 10 PM Eastern time slot it currently occupies. No reason was given for the change in direction.
When the TBS move and the Rampage name was first rolled out in May, four new TNT specials kicking off in 2022 were also announced. While not mentioned in the Variety story, it appears those will remain on TNT as planned.
AEW will air a special two-hour edition of Rampage this Friday that was taped at Wednesday’s sold-out Grand Slam event at Queens, New York’s Arthur Ashe Stadium.
‘Go-Big Show’ featuring Cody Rhodes renewed for second season

A second season of the ‘Go-Big Show’, featuring Cody Rhodes as a judge, has been ordered by TBS.
It was announced on Wednesday that the show would be renewed for a second season consisting of ten episodes. Filming for the next season will begin next month in Georgia. Musician DJ Khaled will join the show as an executive producer. He will also serve as a judge along with Rhodes, Snoop Dogg, and Rosario Dawson.
Go-Big Show is a talent show that is described as having ‘extreme and death defying acts’. Stunts seen in the previous season include acts featuring monster trucks, alligator trainers, and stunt archery.
“When you find a show and personalities that come together so authentically and bring joy and wow to an audience, you go big with your commitment to it,” Brett Weitz, General Manager, TBS, TNT and truTV, is quoted as saying. “Viewers turned in week after week to see both what amazing acts our contestants could perform and what our judges’ reactions would be. We are committed to bringing this type of television to our fans for years to come.”
In recent weeks, Cody has been feuding with QT Marshall, culminating in a strap match that took place on Dynamite last week. He won the match, but later in the show was attacked by the debuting Malakai Black, the former Aleister Black.

May 24, 2021 Observer Newsletter: AEW to TBS, Ospreay vacates IWGP World Heavyweight title

Due to a number of reasons, the key one being TNT picking up the NHL, WarnerMedia will be moving AEW Dynamite and Rampage to TBS starting in January.
After negotiations that went very quickly, so quickly that the television situation in key foreign markets like the U.K. and Canada were not settled, a series of deals were put into place.
The main show, Dynamite, will continue to run 8-10 p.m. on Wednesdays, but be moved from TNT to TBS. AEW received an eight figure fee increase to move the show since the prior contract called for it being on TNT through the end of 2023. It is believed the new deal for the complete package was not extended from the original deal.
Rampage, the second show, will debut on Friday nights from 10-11 p.m. on TNT on 8/13, and also be moved to TBS in January.
Rampage will generally be taped on Wednesday nights but there will be special Friday night live tapings on PPV weeks. It appears they will run in the city they are doing the PPV in. For example, on 11/5, it was already announced for a taping at the Chaifetz Center in St. Louis, and Full Gear will be in the same building on 11/6.
