Sheamus secured the final spot on Team SmackDown for Survivor Series by winning a fatal four-way match on tonight’s SmackDown. The men’s five-on-five elimination match at this Sunday’s pay-per-view will pit SmackDown’s Drew McIntyre, Jeff Hardy, Xavier Woods, Baron Corbin & Sheamus against Raw’s Seth Rollins, Finn Balor, Kevin Owens, Bobby Lashley & Austin Theory.
Sheamus defeated Cesaro, Ricochet, and Jinder Mahal to win tonight’s fatal four-way match. After a distraction by Ridge Holland, Sheamus hit a Brogue Kick on Cesaro and pinned him to get the win.
Holland was called up from NXT in the WWE Draft last month. He’s recently been doing interviews on SmackDown talking about how Sheamus is his idol.
Tonight was Sheamus’ return to WWE television after undergoing surgery for a broken nose in September. It was the second broken nose that Sheamus has suffered this year.
Sami Zayn was originally announced as one of the members of Team SmackDown, but he lost his spot last Friday. Hardy defeated Zayn in a match where the loser was removed from Survivor Series.

Said it’s a tough balancing act honing his craft in the ring and his outside opportunities like being on the Stephen Colbert show, but if he doesn’t stay focused, this could all go away. Said this current run kind of came out of nowhere, but he feels blessed. Said getting the title changed his life and he doesn’t see himself going back to the way things used to be. Toni Storm will be the fifth and final member of Team SmackDown, taking the spot that was opened up when WWE authority figure Sonya Deville removed Aliyah from the team. Storm will team with Sasha Banks, Shayna Baszler, Shotzi & Natalya against Raw’s Bianca Belair, Rhea Ripley, Liv Morgan, Carmella & Zelina Vega.
“With #SurvivorSeries fast approaching, I want to ensure each brand is represented by the best and brightest Superstars,” Deville tweeted. “Therefore, it’s my pleasure to announce that TONI STORM will be the fifth and final member of the #Smackdown Women’s team. Congrats and good luck on Sunday!”
Aliyah was removed from the team on last week’s SmackDown. With help from an assist by Naomi, Aliyah got the win when she teamed with Banks & Naomi against Baszler, Shotzi & Natalya on the episode. But Deville, who is feuding with Naomi, informed Aliyah after the match that she’s no longer on Team SmackDown.

That’s how Becky Lynch describes her relationship with Charlotte Flair.
In an interview on today’s MMA Hour, Lynch spoke at length regarding her former friendship with Flair, the title swap segment on WWE SmackDown that led to a backstage argument, the possibility that things could go awry in their match at Survivor Series on Sunday, and the importance of trust in the professional wrestling business.
With regard to their friendship turning sour, Lynch pinpointed her ascent to WWE stardom as the genesis of the personal issues between herself and Flair.
“I’m sure she would give you a different side, and I’ll give you my side,” Lynch said.
“My star was rising, we were the best of friends and it all worked when she was on top and I was below. And we could all see the way things were going in 2019. Like, people were really behind me, really rallying behind me, and this turn would turn me into a different league, and I don’t think, she couldn’t take that, and has never been able to take it since,” said Lynch.
Lynch went on to say that her surpassing Flair’s level of fame has had a negative impact on Flair’s career.
“And I think it’s affected her work. Even now, I think it’s affected her,” said Lynch.
“I think she’s potentially one of the greatest, but I think I’m so in her head that she’s lost it a bit. I think she’s lost a step because she’s got that jealousy and she’s got that little devil on her shoulder, and that devil is me always being one step ahead of her, and she doesn’t like it.”
“I think she thought her birthright is she’s the star,” Lynch continued. “Doesn’t matter that I started wrestling when I was 15 and left home and traveled the world to chase this dream, doesn’t matter that I was never one of the chosen ones. She was born into this and she deserves it. WrestleMania main events should be hers by birthright. I think that’s her thinking. I think we know where she gets that thinking from.”
Lynch stated that Flair’s response to the WWE crowd chanting for Lynch during a promo segment this past summer revealed Flair’s true feelings.
“She gave the crowd the finger, and she said it was because they were disrespecting Rhea [Ripley]. She doesn’t care about Rhea, she cares about herself. That was her own ego,” Lynch said.
Lynch also balked at Flair’s assertion in a BT Sport interview that Flair has received pushback for standing up for herself because of her gender.
“You can’t say it’s because I’m a woman. No, it’s because you’re an assh*le,” said Lynch.
Lynch went into great detail regarding the backstage argument that broke out after the Lynch-Flair title swap segment on SmackDown on October 22.
“There was a plan in place that was supposed to go one way, and if it went one way, then everyone would have had a moment and it would have been great. I, in the back, said ‘This isn’t going to happen. She’s going to do something else,’ and she did exactly what I said she was gonna do,” said Lynch.
“I told people beforehand she was going to make it really hard to do this angle, and it happened. There was no need for it. Because at the end of the day, it wasn’t about me. It was about Sasha [Banks] and her getting into something.”
“Sometimes things can happen out there and people can get carried away in the moment, and you don’t have time to process what happens,” said Lynch. “But when I knew that she was going to purposely disrespect me, I processed it a lot quicker. And so, I was able to hold it together until I got backstage. I did what I was supposed to do. And then when I got backstage, I lost it a little bit. I lost it. I just lost it.”
“I had to go out and do the dark match right after. So I verbally lost it. I still had a match to do, so I didn’t have time to be scrapping in the back… people were talked to. But at the end of the day, I was right. I was right,” Lynch said.
Lynch also spoke at length about the importance of being able to trust the people that you perform with in wrestling.
“What we do is extremely dangerous. And we’re trusting somebody with our lives. And obviously this segment wasn’t trusting somebody with our lives, but it’s the meaning behind it. And it’s happened with other things. And when it happens to other people, maybe they can’t say something. But I can say something. I’m not scared,” said Lynch.
We need to go out there and be able to trust each other, because that’s what this is. We need to be able to trust that one person is able to do what they say they’re going to do.
“It’s professional wrestling, and it’s a beautiful art that I love, and I love it more than anything. And I love it for what it is. It’s telling stories through violence, essentially. And when somebody goes out and you can’t trust them to do what we’ve agreed on doing, then what are we doing?” Lynch said.
“Nobody just cares about themselves. They care about the segment, they care about how everybody else looks, and they work together. Nobody else does this. There’s no other guy on the roster, there’s no girl on the roster [that does this]. Everybody else, when you work with them, you know it’s going to be easy.”
Lynch was asked directly about the chances of things not going as planned at Survivor Series, or her match with Flair not being good because of the issues between them.
“Yeah, of course there is. We kinda saw that a little bit of that with Charlotte and Nia [Jax] at one stage. When people don’t work together, it can go badly, and it’s not good. You’re watching for the wrong reasons,” said Lynch.
“I also like money. And so, this is money. People are interested and I love that people are interested,” Lynch said.
“And I love that people don’t know how this is going to go. I don’t know how this is going to go. I don’t know if this is going to be just an all-out brawl, I don’t know if this is going to be just venom behind every move, I don’t know if we’re going to be able to even get to the match, I don’t know if there’s going to be a fight backstage, I don’t know what’s going to happen. I don’t know, I don’t know. And I think that’s exciting for me and for the audience,” said Lynch.
“Probably nerve-wracking for the office.”
Lynch’s MMA Hour interview can be seen below. Lynch faces Charlotte at WWE Survivor Series on Sunday, November 21 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. The show will air on Peacock, WWE Network and pay-per-view.
In an interview on today’s MMA Hour, Becky Lynch addressed Ric Flair’s social media comments regarding her match with Charlotte Flair at this Sunday’s Survivor Series and said that she finds them “sad.”
In response to a Lynch promo on Monday’s Raw to hype the Charlotte match, Ric tweeted:
“I Think I’m Going To Have To Make The Trip Personally To See You Beat The Piss Out Of @MsCharlotteWWE! I Don’t Think So Sister, The Man, Big Time Becks, Or Whatever You Call Yourself. There’s Not Enough Choreography In The Business To Save You @BeckyLynchWWE”
On the MMA Hour, Lynch stated that she had seen Ric’s tweet, and originally planned to respond before thinking better of it.
“I saw that tweet… And I looked at it and I wrote out a response that would have really been quite biting, and I deleted it and I let it go, because I think it’s really sad,” said Lynch.
“This is a legend at one point, a 16-time world champion. And now, Ric Flair is jealous of me? And that’s cool. It’s cool for me,” Lynch said.
“And he’s now trying to use me to get clout to promote whatever he has going on next, because he’s dug himself into a hole with other things.”
“So I was just kinda like, let me let him at it, because it’s kinda sad,” said Lynch.
Flair responded with a screenshot of an article quoting Lynch’s comments, plus a screenshot of an article reporting Flair’s sale of “The Man” trademark to WWE.
Flair posted:
“So Disappointed! I Did This Out Of Respect For You @BeckyLynchWWE! It Made You Millions & Made Me Nothing. After 40 Years Of Being The Man… The Company Doesn’t Own It, And Neither Do You! I’ll Always Be The Man! Ask Your Husband.”
Lynch’s MMA Hour interview can be seen below. Lynch faces Charlotte at WWE Survivor Series on Sunday, November 21 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. The show will air on Peacock, WWE Network and pay-per-view.
A change has been made to another one of the teams for Survivor Series.
Rey Mysterio has been removed from Raw’s men’s team for Survivor Series, with Austin Theory being named as his replacement. The announcement was made after Mysterio lost to Bobby Lashley in the main event of tonight’s Raw.
Lashley submitted Mysterio with the Hurt Lock in their match and then refused to let go of the hold. Lashley stared down Dominik Mysterio, who stayed outside of the ring until Lashley let go of the Hurt Lock. Dominik then got into the ring and checked on his father.
WWE authority figure Adam Pearce came out to the stage after the match and announced that, for the well-being of both Team Raw and for Rey Mysterio, he was removing Rey from Survivor Series. Pearce had said he would name a replacement later, but he instead announced Theory as Rey’s replacement after Theory appeared and laid out Dominik with the ATL. Pearce said he liked Theory’s style after the attack.
Rey and Dominik have now both been removed from Team Raw. Lashley took Dominik’s spot when he defeated Dominik on Raw last week.
Seth Rollins, Finn Balor, Kevin Owens, Lashley & Theory will represent Raw in the men’s traditional Survivor Series elimination match. They’re facing SmackDown’s Drew McIntyre, Jeff Hardy, Xavier Woods, Baron Corbin, and a partner to be determined.
SmackDown has one open spot on both its men’s and women’s teams. Sami Zayn and Aliyah were removed from their respective teams last Friday.

Aliyah and Sami Zayn were removed from their respective Survivor Series teams on tonight’s episode of SmackDown. Aliyah was removed from the women’s team by Sonya Deville, while Zayn lost his spot on the men’s team when he was defeated by Jeff Hardy.
WWE hasn’t announced who will be replacing Aliyah and Zayn.
Aliyah made her SmackDown in-ring debut tonight, teaming with Sasha Banks & Naomi to defeat Shotzi, Shayna Baszler & Natalya in a six-woman tag match. Aliyah got the win for her team when Naomi helped her reverse the Sharpshooter into a pin. That assist from Naomi came when Natalya grabbed the rope for extra leverage while she had Aliyah in the Sharpshooter.
Despite Aliyah getting the win, Deville informed her that she’s no longer on Team SmackDown. Deville is currently feuding with Naomi.
Hardy and Zayn’s match was made when Zayn went to Adam Pearce and tried to get Pearce to remove Hardy from Team SmackDown. NXT’s Von Wagner was in Pearce’s office when Zayn went to him, but Wagner wasn’t identified by name.

During an appearance on the Sports Illustrated Media Podcast, Becky Lynch addressed her real-life issues with Charlotte Flair and built up their match at Survivor Series.
Lynch and Charlotte got into a legitimate backstage confrontation following an awkward title exchange on SmackDown last month. While speaking on the Sports Illustrated Media Podcast, Lynch was asked about that confrontation with Charlotte.
“I don’t know, man. We don’t talk anymore. We don’t talk,” Lynch said. “So all I’ll say is the locker room needs a hero sometimes. And sometimes somebody’s gotta be a hero. I’m all right being that hero. That’s what I’ll say on that matter.”
Lynch, who is the Raw Women’s Champion, is set to face off with SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte in a non-title champion vs. champion match at Survivor Series on Sunday, November 21. In her interview with Sports Illustrated, Lynch was asked if having issues with someone in real life makes things more difficult when they face each other in a match.
“Oh, 100 percent more difficult,” Lynch said. “Yeah, yeah, yeah. That’s the thing. When you’ve got two people that are wanting to work together to make magic, then you make magic. Sometimes when there’s hostility, when you can’t trust the person, then you never know what’s going to happen. You always have to be on guard. It’s like a game of chess. You have to be thinking two steps, three steps, four steps ahead. What are they gonna do? How am I gonna handle it? If they do this, if they do that, whatever.
“This business is built on trust. It’s built on working together. That’s the art of it. That’s the beauty of it. If I make you look good, you make me look good. It’s an art. It’s a beautiful art, it’s an art I love more than anything. If people don’t know how to make that art, then it becomes difficult. It becomes tricky and you never really get the full potential. But there’s intrigue there, too, because we never know, was this meant to happen? Was that not meant to happen? What’s gonna go down? There’s interest in both ways. One way, it’s the beautiful pure art of pro wrestling. The other way it’s a bit of a sh*t show. So we’ll see what happens.”
When asked if she trusts Charlotte, Lynch said no. Lynch said she and Charlotte used to be best friends, but things are difficult between them now.
WWE has announced its first two non-title champion vs. champion matches for Survivor Series.
WWE Champion Big E vs. Universal Champion Roman Reigns and Raw Women’s Champion Becky Lynch vs. SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair were both made official for Survivor Series on tonight’s episode of Raw. The pay-per-view, which pits Raw and SmackDown against each other in “brand warfare,” is being held at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York on Sunday, November 21.
Big E won the WWE Championship by cashing in his Money in the Bank briefcase on Bobby Lashley this September. Reigns has held the Universal Championship since August 2020.
Reigns and The Usos are currently feuding with Big E’s New Day stablemates Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston on SmackDown. Big E stayed on Raw in the WWE Draft last month, while Woods and Kingston moved to SmackDown.
Lynch and Charlotte both changed brands in the draft. To resolve the situation with their titles, Lynch and Charlotte exchanged Women’s Championship belts on the October 22 episode of SmackDown. Lynch became Raw Women’s Champion, while Charlotte became SmackDown Women’s Champion.
Here’s the updated announced card for Survivor Series:
Non-title match: WWE Champion Big E vs. Universal Champion Roman Reigns
Non-title match: Raw Women’s Champion Becky Lynch vs. SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair
Women’s five-on-five elimination match: Team Raw (Bianca Belair, Rhea Ripley, Liv Morgan, Carmella & Zelina Vega) vs. Team SmackDown (Sasha Banks, Shayna Baszler, Shotzi, Natalya & Aliyah)
Men’s five-on-five elimination match: Team Raw (Seth Rollins, Finn Balor, Kevin Owens, Rey Mysterio & Bobby Lashley) vs. Team SmackDown (Drew McIntyre, Jeff Hardy, Xavier Woods, Sami Zayn & Baron Corbin)
WWE has made a change to one of the teams for Survivor Series.
Bobby Lashley will now be part of Team Raw for the men’s five-on-five traditional Survivor Series elimination match against SmackDown. Lashley took Dominik Mysterio’s spot on Team Raw by defeating Dominik on Raw tonight.
WWE authority figure Adam Pearce appeared on Raw tonight and said he felt like he might have made a mistake by giving Dominik a spot on the team. Pearce noted that every other member of the team was a former World Champion. He gave Dominik a chance to keep his spot — in a match against Lashley.
Lashley dominated Dominik throughout their match and submitted him with the Hurt Lock.
The men’s Survivor Series elimination match will see Raw’s Seth Rollins, Finn Balor, Kevin Owens, Rey Mysterio & Lashley face SmackDown’s Drew McIntyre, Jeff Hardy, Xavier Woods, Sami Zayn & Baron Corbin. The women’s elimination match will pit Raw’s Bianca Belair, Rhea Ripley, Liv Morgan, Carmella & Zelina Vega against SmackDown’s Sasha Banks, Shayna Baszler, Shotzi, Natalya & Aliyah.
Survivor Series is taking place at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York on Sunday, November 21.
Tonight’s Raw was Lashley’s first appearance since losing a no holds barred, falls count anywhere match against Goldberg at Crown Jewel on October 21.
WWE has revealed Raw and SmackDown’s teams for this year’s traditional Survivor Series five-on-five elimination matches.
The announcement of the teams was made via WWE’s Twitter account this afternoon. The men’s elimination match will pit Raw’s Seth Rollins, Finn Balor, Kevin Owens, Rey Mysterio & Dominik Mysterio against SmackDown’s Drew McIntyre, Jeff Hardy, Xavier Woods, Sami Zayn & Baron Corbin.
In the women’s elimination match, Raw’s Bianca Belair, Rhea Ripley, Liv Morgan, Carmella & Zelina Vega will face SmackDown’s Sasha Banks, Shayna Baszler, Shotzi, Natalya & Aliyah.
Raw’s entire men’s team just moved to the brand in the WWE Draft last month. McIntyre, Hardy, Woods, Belair, Morgan, Carmella, Vega, and Baszler also switched brands in the draft, while Aliyah was called up from NXT.
Survivor Series is taking place at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York on Sunday, November 21. These are the first two matches that have been officially announced for the pay-per-view, which will pit Raw and SmackDown against each other in “brand warfare.”
Kenny Omega and Bryan Danielson went to a 30:00 draw in what was among the best television matches in U.S. history and arguably the best bout ever on Dynamite in their dream match at the company’s debut in New York City on 9/22 at Arthur Ashe Stadium.
The non-title match presumably sets up a longer time limit championship match down the road. For Full Gear, the decision would seem to be Omega defending against either Danielson or Adam Page.
The show was a landmark event for the promotion, breaking both attendance and gate records and ended up as the second largest non-WWE gate for pro wrestling in U.S. history and the largest attended non-WWE pro wrestling event in the country in 22 years.
The most talked about aspect of the week was the ratings, and whether the show would beat Raw. Dynamite in its history had two episodes that beat Raw’s 0.49 (642,000) in 18-49, the very first episode and the show two weeks earlier coming off All Out and the debuts of Bryan Danielson and Adam Cole.
