Roxanne Perez vs. Kiana James steel cage match set for WWE NXT Deadline

A steel cage match has been added to Deadline.

Roxanne Perez and Kiana James will meet inside a steel cage after the two fought in the open of Tuesday’s NXT, competing in a four-way last chance match to qualify for the Iron Survivor Challenge. Both ended up falling into the announcer’s table towards the end of the match, allowing Fallon Henley to secure the win to advance. Later inside the trainer’s room, the two fought again. Ava said she will go to Shawn Micheals and confirm the match for Saturday.

Ava later met Carmelo Hayes backstage, who told Hayes that his match against Lexis King was good as official. Following an NXT Anonymous video showing Carmelo Hayes on his phone shortly before Trick Williams was attacked backstage back in October, Williams again became suspicious of Hayes. Williams confronted him, asking if he was working with King. Williams said he’d prove himself by taking on King at Deadline.

A kickoff match will also take place before the show, with Axiom facing Nathan Frazer. The two were having a match on NXT Tuesday when all five of the women’s Iron Survivor Challenge participants entered the ring, causing the match to be thrown out.

Here is the updated card for NXT Deadline:

  • NXT Championship: Ilja Dragunov defends against Baron Corbin
  • NXT North American Championship: Dominik Mysterio defends against Dragon Lee
  • Men’s Iron Survivor Challenge: Dijak vs. Trick Williams vs. Josh Briggs vs. Bron Breakker vs. Tyler Bate

Bobby Lashley vs. Omos cage match announced for next week’s WWE Raw

A steel cage match has been announced for next week’s WWE Raw episode.

Bobby Lashley will face Omos in a cage match. Lashley issued the challenge to Omos in a backstage promo on this week’s Raw, and the match was made official later in the show.

Omos defeated Lashley at Sunday’s WrestleMania Backlash event in a rematch from their WrestleMania 38 bout, which Lashley won.

On the Raw after WrestleMania, Lashley’s manager MVP turned on him and aligned himself with Omos.

Omos made his WWE in-ring debut at WrestleMania 37 in 2021, teaming with AJ Styles to capture the Raw Tag Team titles from Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods of The New Day.

Lashley vs. Omos is the only match announced for next week’s Raw to this point. The Monday, May 16 episode will air live from the Scope Arena in Norfolk, Virginia.

The announced lineup:

WWE Raw, Monday, May 16 —

Reigns vs. Corbin cage match official for WWE Super ShowDown

A steel cage match has been announced for Super ShowDown later this month.

Baron Corbin and Roman Reigns will battle inside a steel cage in Saudi Arabia. Reigns made the stipulation tonight on SmackDown after Corbin insisted he and Roman Reigns face off one last time. Reigns came out and the two brawled, but Corbin eventually retreated.

Corbin and Reigns have been feuding since December. After beating Reigns at TLC thanks to Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode, Corbin was defeated by Reigns in a falls count anywhere match last month at the Royal Rumble.

Last week, Corbin, Ziggler, and Roode faced Reigns and The Usos in a six man tag team match where the loser would have to eat dog food. Corbin lost the match and as a result had dog food dumped all over him, retribution from December when he did the same thing to Reigns.

Super ShowDown will take place Thursday, February 27 at King Fahd International Stadium in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
