During tonight’s Raw, a commercial aired announcing that Otis will appeared on Miz TV on SmackDown this Friday. Otis defeated AJ Styles, Baron Corbin, Aleister Black, Rey Mysterio, and Daniel Bryan to win this year’s men’s Money in the Bank ladder match.
The men’s and women’s Money in the Bank ladder matches were filmed simultaneously at WWE headquarters. Styles and Corbin pulled the men’s briefcase down at the same time and were fighting over it. Elias then appeared and hit Corbin with a guitar, causing Styles to fumble the briefcase and have it land in Otis’ hands.
The Miz & John Morrison were in the fatal four-way match for the SmackDown Tag Team titles at Money in the Bank. The New Day defeated The Lucha House Party, Miz & Morrison, and The Forgotten Sons to retain their titles.
WWE has also announced that NXT Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair is appearing on SmackDown this Friday. The brand-to-brand invitation was announced on tonight’s Raw and will feature Drew McIntyre facing SmackDown’s Baron Corbin on Raw next Monday.
This year’s men’s and women’s Money in the Bank winners have been decided.
Tonight’s Money in the Bank pay-per-view ended with Otis and Asuka winning their respective briefcases. The men’s and women’s Money in the Bank ladder matches both took place simultaneously at WWE headquarters in Stamford, Connecticut and were done cinematic-style.
Asuka was first to retrieve her briefcase. Baron Corbin was trying to get the men’s briefcase at the same time, but Asuka stopped him and knocked him off the ladder.
AJ Styles and Corbin pulled the men’s briefcase down at the same time. As they were fighting over it, Elias appeared and hit Corbin in the back with a guitar. That caused Styles to fumble the briefcase, and it fell into Otis’ hands.
There was a spot during the match where Corbin supposedly threw Rey Mysterio and Aleister Black off the roof of Titan Towers.
Otis, Styles, Corbin, Mysterio, Black, and Daniel Bryan were the participants in the men’s ladder match. Asuka, Shayna Baszler, Nia Jax, Dana Brooke, Lacey Evans, and Carmella were the women’s ladder match participants.
Raw Women’s Champion Becky Lynch is appearing on Raw tomorrow night and will confront Asuka.

A WrestleMania rematch headlined the episode, with Otis qualifying for Money in the Bank by again defeating Dolph Ziggler.
But Otis’ on-screen love interest isn’t joining him at Money in the Bank. After being distracted by Sonya Deville, Mandy Rose lost her qualifying match against Carmella on last night’s show. Deville then attacked Rose after the match.
It was announced last night that the men’s and women’s Money in the Bank ladder matches are taking place simultaneously. Aleister Black, Rey Mysterio, Daniel Bryan, Baron Corbin, Otis, and the winner of a last chance gauntlet match that’s airing on Monday’s Raw are the participants for the men’s ladder match. All six participants for the women’s Money in the Bank ladder match have been confirmed. Shayna Baszler, Asuka, Nia Jax, Dana Brooke, Lacey Evans, and Carmella will be in the match.
Five of the six participants for the men’s Money in the Bank ladder match are set: Aleister Black, Rey Mysterio, Daniel Bryan, Baron Corbin, and Otis. The final participant will be determined by a last chance gauntlet match that’s airing on Monday’s Raw.
Money in the Bank is set for Sunday, May 10. WWE confirmed tonight that the men’s and women’s MITB ladder matches are taking place at the same time. They’re being held at WWE headquarters in Stamford, Connecticut. The wrestlers are starting on the ground floor of Titan Towers, with the briefcases hanging on the roof of the building.

Two Money in the Bank qualifying matches are set for next week’s SmackDown.
On the men’s side, Otis will face Dolph Ziggler. The two have been feuding for months, mostly centering around Mandy Rose. Otis defeated Ziggler at WrestleMania 36, with Mandy Rose choosing Otis after a hacker revealed that Sonya Deville had concocted a plot to drive Mandy away from Otis.
Mandy, meanwhile, will face Carmella in the other qualifying match. Carmella’ tag team partner, Dana Brooke, qualified last week.

Daniel Bryan challenging for the Intercontinental title is officially part of the WrestleMania 36 card.
As a stipulation of Drew Gulak defeating Shinsuke Nakamura on SmackDown tonight, Bryan is challenging Sami Zayn for the Intercontinental title at WrestleMania. The show was taped earlier this week and will air on the WWE Network on Saturday, April 4 and Sunday, April 5.
Gulak pinned Nakamura in their match on SmackDown after Bryan pulled Gulak away from a Kinshasa.
Zayn won the Intercontinental title earlier this month when he teamed with Nakamura & Cesaro and defeated Braun Strowman in a three-on-one handicap match.
Otis vs. Dolph Ziggler was also officially set up for WrestleMania 36 on SmackDown tonight. Otis tried to confront Ziggler backstage but was held back. Ziggler challenged Otis to face him at WrestleMania — with Mandy Rose in Ziggler’s corner. Otis then accepted the challenge.
There was another segment later tonight where Ziggler and Rose spoke backstage. Rose said she supports the match, but she refuses to let Ziggler and Otis fight over her like she’s some sort of prize.
With some fans upset that Dolph Ziggler ruined Otis’ Valentines Day date with Mandy Rose on WWE SmackDown, I’ll explain on this Saturday edition of Wrestling Observer Live why this failed attempt at romance is actually a good thing for the big man.
I’ll also take a look at a few other key moments on from Friday’s show including Apollo Crews, Carmella, and more. Also, is WWE Universal Champion Bray Wyatt’s new gimmick that he was a WCW superfan growing up as a kid?
Plus, while ticket sales are good, AEW Double or Nothing II in Las Vegas wasn’t a one day sellout. What does this mean for the company and does it say anything about momentum and its fanbase?
I also hit on news and notes about Will Ospreay, Kagetsu, Becky Lynch, and more on Wrestling Observer Live.
A date between Mandy Rose and Otis has been announced for the Valentine’s Day edition of SmackDown.
A backstage segment aired on tonight’s show between Heavy Machinery and Fire & Desire. Otis asked Mandy if she would go out on a date with him next week. Mandy said that she was busy next week, but she wasn’t doing anything the following week, which would be on Valentine’s Day.
The romance of sorts between Otis and Mandy Rose has been built up over the last several weeks. Otis has been helping Mandy win matches, but has also inadvertently cost Sonia Deville matches along the way. However, both she and Sonia Deville were eliminated after Deville was tossed over the rope and collided with Mandy Rose, who was being carried by Otis.
During the Royal Rumble last Sunday, Otis helped Mandy Rose avoid elimination when he laid on the ground, protecting her feet from hitting the floor.
The Valentine’s Day edition of SmackDown will take place at the Rogers Arena in Vancouver, British Columbia.
A third title match is set for Raw’s season premiere.
WWE has announced that Raw Tag Team Champions Dolph Ziggler & Robert Roode will defend their titles against Heavy Machinery on Raw this coming Monday (September 30). Seth Rollins will also defend his Universal Championship against Rey Mysterio on the episode, and Cedric Alexander will challenge for AJ Styles’ United States title.
Ziggler & Roode won the Raw Tag Team titles from Rollins & Braun Strowman at Clash of Champions earlier this month.
Heavy Machinery are currently part of the SmackDown roster. The WWE Draft will take place on SmackDown on Friday, October 11 and Raw on Monday, October 14. The Wild Card rule will no longer exist after the draft.
The Talking Stick Resort Arena in Phoenix, Arizona is hosting the Raw season premiere. Here’s the updated lineup for the episode:
Universal Champion Seth Rollins defending against Rey Mysterio
United States Champion AJ Styles defending against Cedric Alexander
Sasha Banks vs. Alexa Bliss
Raw Tag Team Champions Dolph Ziggler & Robert Roode defending against Heavy Machinery
After announcing a SmackDown Tag Team title match for Extreme Rules earlier in the day, another team was added to the mix on this week’s SmackDown.
Heavy Machinery defeated Kevin Owens & Dolph Ziggler in the main event of Tuesday’s show. The stipulation was that the winning team would be added to the SmackDown Tag Team title match at Extreme Rules. It will now be Daniel Bryan & Rowan defending their titles against Big E & Xavier Woods and Heavy Machinery in a triple threat match at the pay-per-view.
Heavy Machinery vs. Owens & Ziggler was set up during tonight’s opening segment. Owens and Ziggler argued on the KO Show and both wanted a title shot against WWE Champion Kofi Kingston. Shane McMahon responded by having them team together in a match where they could earn a Tag Team title shot.
After their loss, Owens attacked Ziggler and gave him a stunner. Ziggler had accidentally hit a superkick on Owens at the end of the match, which led to Heavy Machinery hitting The Compactor on Owens to get the win.
Bryan, Rowan, Big E, and Woods were on commentary at the start of Heavy Machinery vs. Owens & Ziggler. New Day started a brawl with Bryan and Rowan. Bryan hit a running knee on Big E, then Rowan slammed Woods through an announce table.
Bryan defeated Big E in a singles match earlier on tonight’s SmackDown after Rowan interfered.
The updated card for Extreme Rules is listed below. The PPV is taking place at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on July 14:
The Undertaker & Roman Reigns vs. Shane McMahon & Drew McIntyre in a no holds barred match
Universal Champion Seth Rollins & Raw Women’s Champion Becky Lynch defending against Baron Corbin & Lacey Evans in an extreme rules match (winners-take-all stipulation with both titles on the line)
WWE Champion Kofi Kingston defending against Samoa Joe
SmackDown Women’s Champion Bayley defending against Alexa Bliss
SmackDown Tag Team Champions Daniel Bryan & Rowan defending against Big E & Xavier Woods and Heavy Machinery in a triple threat match
