Fred Yehi to make NJPW Strong debut at Road to Ignition

NJPW has revealed the full lineup for this week’s Road to Ignition episode of Strong. 

Fred Yehi will make his NJPW Strong debut, teaming with Wheeler Yuta in the main event. Yehi and Yuta will face Strong regulars Misterioso and Jordan Clearwater. Yehi is the number one contender for the ROH Pure Championship. 

In the second match, Rocky Romero and Lio Rush will tag against Clark Connors and The DKC. 

In Friday’s opener, Alex Coughlin will take on Hikuleo in singles competition. Hikuleo will be making his first appearance on Strong since losing a no DQ match to Fred Rosser on the May 21 episode.

Satoshi Kojima to make NJPW Strong debut in tag team match

NJPW has revealed the full lineup for this week’s Road to Ignition episode of Strong. 

Satoshi Kojima will make his Strong debut this week. In Friday’s main event, he will team with Karl Fredericks. They will take on Team Filthy’s JR Kratos and Danny Limelight. Fredericks is next in line to face Team Filthy leader Tom Lawlor for the NJPW Strong Openweight Championship. 

Adrian Quest will take on Barrett Brown on Friday’s episode. Quest and Brown used to team together on Strong, but the duo split up on the May 7 edition of Strong. 

In this week’s opener, TJP will take on LA Dojo prospect Kevin Knight.

Two matches added to Friday’s NJPW Strong Collision

NJPW has revealed the full lineup for this week’s Collision episode of Strong. 

El Phantasmo will be in action against Wheeler Yuta. Yuta lost to Rocky Romero in his Strong debut on the April 23 episode.

In Friday’s opener, Clark Connors will face AJZ. AJZ also lost to Romero in his Strong debut on the May 14 episode. Connors lost to Karl Fredericks in his last singles match on Strong on the April 30 LA Dojo Showcase edition of the show.

Friday’s main event was announced previously, as “Filthy” Tom Lawlor will make his first defense of the NJPW Strong Openweight Championship, taking on Chris Dickinson.

NJPW has revealed the full lineup for this week’s Road to Collision episode of Strong. 

On the heels of last week’s elimination match main event, Team Filthy’s JR Kratos and Danny Limelight will take on Karl Fredericks and Brody King. 

Fredericks and Limelight were eliminated by Kratos and Limelight in last week’s main event. Team Filthy won that match, then kicked Chris Dickinson out of their group. 

Dickinson will face Team Filthy leader and NJPW Strong Openweight Champion Tom Lawlor in the main event of next week’s NJPW Strong. 

In this week’s opener, Alex Coughlin will take on Bateman.

Friday’s main event was announced previously, as Fred Rosser will take on Hikuleo in a no disqualification match.

Three matches set for NJPW Strong Road to Collision

NJPW has revealed the full lineup for this week’s Road to Collision episode of Strong. 

El Phantasmo returns to action on this week’s show. He will team with Hikuleo against Lio Rush and Fred Rosser. Phantasmo has not wrestled on Strong since February. He was most recently in action on last week’s episode of Impact Wrestling. 

In Friday’s opener, Rocky Romero will take on the debuting AJZ. 

Already announced for the show’s main event, Tom Lawlor, Chris Dickinson, JR Kratos and Danny Limelight will face Karl Fredericks, Brody King, TJP & Clark Connors in an elimination match. Eliminations can occur by pinfall, submission, DQ or over the top rope with both feet hitting the floor.

NJPW reveals date for Strong Openweight Championship match

NJPW has revealed the main event for each Collision episode of NJPW Strong this month. 

Tom Lawlor will make his first defense of the NJPW Strong Openweight Championship against fellow Team Filthy member Chris Dickinson on the Friday, May 28 edition of the show. 

On the Friday, May 21 episode, Fred Rosser will take on Hikuleo in a no disqualification match.  The two also met in the New Japan Cup USA 2021 tournament, where Hikuleo came away with the victory. 

On the Friday, May 14 show, Lawlor, Dickinson, JR Kratos and Danny Limelight will face Karl Fredericks, Brody King, TJP & Clark Connors in an elimination match. Under NJPW rules, eliminations can occur by pinfall, submission, DQ or over the top rope with both feet hitting the floor. 

The main event for the Friday, May 7 episode had already been announced, as Jon Moxley and Dickinson will face Yuji Nagata and Ren Narita. Nagata will also challenge Moxley for the IWGP United States Championship on the Wednesday, May 12 edition of AEW Dynamite.

NJPW LA Dojo Showcase set for this week’s Strong

NJPW has revealed the full lineup for this week’s episode of NJPW Strong. The episode will be a showcase of NJPW LA Dojo talent. 

In the main event, Karl Fredericks will take on Clark Connors. 

Fredericks was the winner of the 2019 Young Lion Cup in NJPW, while Connors was the winner of the inaugural Lion’s Break Crown tournament. The two have met twice before in singles competition, with Fredericks winning one and the other contest a draw. 

In the second match, Fred Rosser will team with Ren Narita against Alex Coughlin and Kevin Knight. Narita is coming off a loss to eventual winner Tom Lawlor in the New Japan Cup USA 2021 tournament, while Rosser lost to Hikuleo in a Cup match. 

In Friday’s opener, TJP will take on The DKC.

NJPW reveals full lineup for New Japan Cup USA 2021 finals

NJPW has revealed the full card for this Friday’s New Japan Cup USA finals on NJPW Strong. 

In the main event, Brody King will take on Tom Lawlor in the final match of the New Japan Cup USA tournament. The winner will also be crowned the first-ever NJPW Strong Openweight Champion. 

King earned a spot in the finals with wins over Lio Rush and Chris Dickinson, while Lawlor defeated Hikuleo and Ren Narita. 

On Friday’s undercard, Rocky Romero will take on the debuting Wheeler Yuta. Yuta has international experience with ROH, Michinoku Pro, and WXW.

In the opener, TJP and Clark Connors will face JR Kratos and Chris Dickinson in tag team action.

In the main event of Friday’s show, Brody King will take on Chris Dickinson. 

In the semi-main, Fred Rosser will face Hikuleo. 

Ren Narita will take on “Filthy” Tom Lawlor in the second match of the night.

NJPW announced on last week’s Strong that the winner of the 2021 New Japan Cup USA will also be crowned the first-ever NJPW Strong Openweight Champion. 

In 2020, the Cup winner became number one contender to Jon Moxley’s IWGP United States Championship and received a right to challenge briefcase. KENTA won the 2020 edition of the tournament.

In the second qualifier, Blake Christian will take on Chris Dickinson.

Friday’s main event is a special tag match without tournament implications, as David Finlay and Karl Fredericks will team against Tom Lawlor and Danny Limelight.

The New Japan Cup USA tournament will be held in April on NJPW Strong. On last week’s episode, Brody King defeated Bateman to earn a spot in the tournament, while Ren Narita secured his place by defeating Misterioso. Hikuleo and Fred Rosser gained tournament entry with wins on the March 12 episode of Strong. Lio Rush and Tom Lawlor won qualifying matches on the March 5 episode.

NJPW has announced the full lineup for Friday’s New Beginning USA 2021 edition of Strong on NJPW World.

Already announced, IWGP United States Champion Jon Moxley will defend the title against KENTA in the main event. The build to this match kicked off in earnest when Moxley appeared on the January 29 episode of Strong, attacking KENTA. KENTA has since appeared twice on AEW Dynamite to build the match. 

In the semi-main, Ren Narita will take on Chris Dickinson.

NJPW has announced the full lineup for Friday’s New Beginning USA 2021 edition of Strong on NJPW World. 

Already announced, the main event will see El Phantasmo, number one contender to Hiromu Takahashi’s IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship, taking on Lio Rush. 

ELP and Rush previously faced off in a first round match in the 2020 Super J-Cup, a tournament that ELP would go on to win. 

In Friday’s semi-main, Fred Rosser will take on Bullet Club’s Hikuleo. 

In the opener, Rocky Romero, Adrian Quest and Misterioso will face Rey Horus, Barrett Brown and The DKC.
