Jon Moxley appearing on NJPW Strong, full lineup announced

Jon Moxley is set to appear on the Friday’s NJPW Strong to address his upcoming match with KENTA for the IWGP United States Championship. 

Moxley vs. KENTA has been announced for the February 26 The New Beginning in USA event. 

Moxley appeared on this past week’s strong and attacked KENTA, who holds the right to challenge certificate for Moxley’s U.S. title. 

The Road to The New Beginning USA 2021 series begins on Friday’s Strong. 

In the main event, Rey Horus will face TJP in what is being billed as a first-time meeting between the two. 

In the semi-main, Bateman, Misterioso, Adrian Quest and Jordan Clearwater will take on Brody King, Barrett Brown, Sterling Riegel and Logan Riegel in an eight-man tag. 

In Friday’s opener, NJPW L.A. Dojo recruits Kevin Knight and The DKC will square off in a singles match. 

Strong airs Fridays at 10 p.m. Eastern time on NJPW World and is available on demand shortly after airing.

KENTA, El Phantasmo to appear on NJPW Strong in six-man tag match

NJPW has announced the lineup for Friday’s Road to Lion’s Break Contender edition of NJPW Strong. 

El Phantasmo will make his Strong debut, teaming with Bullet Club stablemates KENTA and Hikuleo in the main event. They will face Fred Rosser, ACH and Blake Christian in six-man tag action. 

KENTA is coming off a win at NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 15, where he successfully defended his IWGP United States Championship right to challenge briefcase against Satoshi Kojima. ELP lost to Hiromu Takahashi on night one of Wrestle Kingdom, but was victorious in an eight-man tag at New Year Dash, where he and Taiji Ishimori established themselves as the number one contenders for the IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Tag titles. 

In Friday’s semi-main event, TJP will take on Adrian Quest. 

In the show’s opener, 2020 Lion’s Break Crown tournament competitor Barrett Brown makes his first appearance on Strong since losing in that tournament. He will take on Misterioso.

NJPW reveals card for Road to Lion’s Break Contender on Strong

NJPW has announced the lineup for Friday’s Road to Lion’s Break Contender edition of NJPW Strong. 

In the main event, JR Kratos and Danny Limelight of Team Filthy will team with a mystery partner against Brody King, Sterling Riegel, and Logan Riegel. This will be the second consecutive NJPW Strong main event for King, who lost to KENTA on night two of Detonation on the December 18 episode. 

Rocky Romero will take on The DKC in Friday’s semi-main, while Clark Connors will face NJPW L.A. Dojo recruit Kevin Knight in the opener. Knight was previously seen in NJPW at the Super J-Cup 2020 event, where he teamed with Ren Narita in a losing effort against KENTA and Hikuleo.

KENTA IWGP US title shot defense to headline NJPW Detonation

NJPW has announced the full lineups for the Detonation editions of NJPW Strong, airing on December 11th and December 18th. 

KENTA will defend his IWGP United States right to challenge contract against Brody King in the main event of night two. KENTA has successfully defended the right to challenge briefcase on three prior occasions this year, defeating Hiroshi Tanahashi, Jeff Cobb and David Finlay. 

PJ Black and Fred Rosser vs. “Filthy” Tom Lawlor and JR Kratos, Jeff Cobb vs. Rust Taylor, plus Rocky Romero vs. Danny Limelight round out the night two card. 

Night one’s main event will feature “Switchblade” Jay White vs. Karl Fredericks. White illegally threw Fredericks out from the elimination match main event on last week’s Strong to set up this match. 

Tama Tonga vs. ACH, a six-man with Juice Robinson, David Finlay and Misterioso vs. Tanga Loa, Chase Owens and Hikuleo, plus a rubber match with Clark Connors and The DKC vs. Sterling Riegel and Logan Riegel will also take place on the 11th.

Elimination tag match to headline NJPW Strong Road to Detonation

A ten-man elimination tag main event headlines this Friday’s NJPW Strong as the Road to Detonation series continues. 

Juice Robinson, David Finlay, Brody King, Karl Fredericks and ACH will team against the Bullet Club unit of Jay White, KENTA, Tama Tonga, Tanga Loa and Hikuleo. In NJPW elimination matches, participants can be taken out by pinfall, submission or being thrown over the top rope to the floor. 

Alex Zayne will take on Blake Christian on Friday’s episode. This will be the first NJPW singles match between the two and a tune-up for Christian before he participates in the Super J-Cup on December 12. 

In Friday’s opener, The DKC will face Sterling Riegel. Sterling and twin brother Logan have traded tag wins with The DKC and Clark Connors  on recent Strong episodes. On last week’s show, Connors beat Logan in a singles match.

Jeff Cobb, Juice Robinson announced for this week’s NJPW Strong

NJPW has announced the lineup for Friday’s NJPW Strong. This week’s event is the first in a series of Road to Detonation shows. 

In the main event, Jeff Cobb, Rocky Romero, PJ Black and Fred Rosser will face Team Filthy, comprised of Tom Lawlor, Rust Taylor, JR Kratos and Danny Limelight. Kratos and Taylor have aligned themselves with Lawlor, including during his NJPW Showdown match against Rosser. 

Juice Robinson and ACH will tag against Adrian Quest and Jordan Clearwater. This will serve as a tune-up match for ACH before the Super-J Cup on December 12th. Clearwater is still in search of his first win on NJPW Strong. 

In the opener, Clark Connors will face Logan Riegel. Connors has teamed with The DKC in taking on Logan and his brother Sterling in tag action on recent episodes of Strong. In two tag matches, the teams have traded victories.

NJPW announces three matches for this week’s Strong

NJPW has announced the lineup for Friday’s NJPW Strong. This week’s event is the second in a series of Road to New Japan Showdown events. 

In the main event, Jeff Cobb and Rocky Romero will team against Rust Taylor and JR Kratos.

Romero and Taylor previously teamed up on the Lion’s Break Collision events held this past July. Kratos is a veteran of the indie scene who toured with AJPW in February. The most recent notable appearance for Kratos was at UWN Primetime Live on October 20, where he lost to Mike Bennett. 

Chase Owens will take on Danny Limelight. Limelight is coming off a loss to Clark Connors in the Lion’s Break Crown finals and a defeat to Misterioso during Strong’s NEVER events. 

In Friday’s opener, Fred Rosser will face Jordan Clearwater. Clearwater is still searching for his first NJPW victory.
