NJPW New Beginning USA to air as a PPV on New Japan World

Wrestling fans can now watch the upcoming NJPW New Beginning USA on February 27th, 2026, on NJPW World as a PPV.

With an announced star-studded show, NJPW New Beginning USA will be available for fans and cost $19.99. It is not part of the NJPW World subscription.

While past NJPW events were available on Triller TV, there is no  Triller TV listing for New Beginning USA this time.

Several top performers, such as Konosuke Takeshita, Tomohiro Ishii, David Finlay, and more, are set to compete at the upcoming pay-per-view show.

NJPW New Beginning USA is scheduled to take place on February 27 at 5:00 PM PST at the CURE Insurance Arena in Trenton, New Jersey.

Knockouts Brothers & David Finlay announced for NJPW New Beginning USA

NJPW has officially announced both IWGP Tag Team Champions The Knockout Brothers (OSKAR & Yuto-Ice) and David Finlay for NJPW New Beginning USA 2026.

Their opponents were not revealed for the February 27 event at the CURE Insurance Arena in Trenton, New Jersey.

Finlay has been in the news recently as his status as a free agent looms with him reportedly drawing interest from WWE where his father coaches at WWE NXT and his brother is under contract.

The three men will join Syuri, Tomohiro Ishii, Konosuke Takeshita, Oleg Boltin, and El Desperado as some of the talents announced for competing at the event. Syuri will enter the show as a double champion, while Ishii is set to compete as the men’s NJPW Strong Openweight Champion. IWGP Heavyweight Champion and Global Heavyweight Champion Yota Tsuji is also scheduled to be in action.

NJPW adds four names to New Beginning USA

NJPW has announced a few more names who will be making the trip over for New Beginning USA 2026.

On February 27, NJPW comes to CURE Insurance Arena in Trenton, New Jersey for the New Beginning event. It was announced today that Syuri, Tomohiro Ishii, Oleg Boltin, and El Desperado will be among the talent competing. Their matches have not been announced yet.

Syuri enters the show as a double champion following her victory over Saya Kamitani at Wrestle Kingdom 20. She retained the IWGP Women’s Championship in the match and now also holds the NJPW Strong Women’s Championship.

Ishii is the men’s NJPW Strong Openweight Champion, having won the title from Gabe Kidd in April 2025. His only defense so far has been a victory over Drilla Moloney.

This appearance will be Boltin’s first time wrestling in the United States. An amateur wrestler from Kazakhstan, he made his in-ring debut for NJPW in 2023.

So far, the New Beginning card has one confirmed match: El Phantasmo vs. Konosuke Takeshita for the NJPW World Television Championship. It’s also been announced that Yota Tsuji — the IWGP Heavyweight Champion and Global Heavyweight Champion — will be in action.

NJPW Strong spoilers: Jay White’s mystery opponent revealed

NJPW taped The New Beginning USA episodes of Strong on Saturday night in Seattle, Washington.

Jay White’s US of Jay open challenge headlined, with a mystery opponent from AEW answering Switchblade’s call-out.

“Filthy” Tom Lawlor defended the NJPW Strong Openweight Championship against Taylor Rust, plus Washington native and former UFC Heavyweight Champion Josh Barnett appeared on the show.

Josh Barnett, Jonah, FinJuice added to NJPW New Beginning USA

Four new matches were added to the January 15th NJPW New Beginning USA event in Seattle, Washington, that will include Josh Barnett, Lio Rush, Jonah, FinJuice and more.

Barnett, a Seattle native, will take on Ren Narita for the first time ever. The former UFC heavyweight champion and former New Japan U.S. color commentator returned to a New Japan ring for the first time since 2004 at November’s Detonation in a win over Alex Coughlin. He hasn’t done any in-ring wrestling since 2019 outside his Bloodsport events for GCW and one indie appearance.

Narita is coming off a singles loss to Will Ospreay at November’s Battle in the Valley and a November trios loss on Strong.

Three tag team matches were also announced as FinJuice (David Finlay and Juice Robinson) will take on Jonah and Bad Dude Tito; Rocky Romero and Lio Rush will battle Royce Isaacs and Jorel Nelson, while Kevin Knight and The DKC will face Ricky Gibson and Eddie Pearl.

This will be the promotional debuts for Tito, Gibson and Pearl.

NJPW Strong New Beginning USA set for Seattle in January

NJPW Strong is coming to Seattle. 

NJPW Strong’s first taping of 2022 will take place in Seattle, Washington at Washington Hall on Saturday, January 15, 2022.  The event will be branded The New Beginning USA. The company made the announcement today. 

While no matches have been announced for the event, Jay White, Tom Lawlor, JONAH, El Phantasmo, Fred Rosser and Gabriel Kidd have been announced as appearing at the show. 

Tickets go on sale Monday, November 29 at 10 a.m. Pacific time. Prices will range from $30 for standing room to $150 for VIP stage seating.

Seattle in January will follow Los Angeles, California in December, Riverside, California and San Jose, California in November, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in October, Garland, Texas in September and Long Beach, California in August on NJPW’s tour of the United States. 

The 2021 New Beginning USA show featured Jon Moxley defending the IWGP United States Heavyweight Championship against KENTA, taped in an empty arena due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

NJPW announces full lineup for New Beginning USA night two

NJPW has announced the full lineup for Friday’s New Beginning USA 2021 edition of Strong on NJPW World.

Already announced, IWGP United States Champion Jon Moxley will defend the title against KENTA in the main event. The build to this match kicked off in earnest when Moxley appeared on the January 29 episode of Strong, attacking KENTA. KENTA has since appeared twice on AEW Dynamite to build the match. 

In the semi-main, Ren Narita will take on Chris Dickinson. 

In Friday’s opener, Brody King, ACH, Sterling Riegel and Logan Riegel will face The DKC, Kevin Knight, Clark Connors and TJP.

Strong airs Fridays at 10 p.m. Eastern time on NJPW World and is available on demand shortly after airing.

NJPW announces full lineup for New Beginning USA night one

NJPW has announced the full lineup for Friday’s New Beginning USA 2021 edition of Strong on NJPW World. 

Already announced, the main event will see El Phantasmo, number one contender to Hiromu Takahashi’s IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship, taking on Lio Rush. 

ELP and Rush previously faced off in a first round match in the 2020 Super J-Cup, a tournament that ELP would go on to win. 

In Friday’s semi-main, Fred Rosser will take on Bullet Club’s Hikuleo. 

In the opener, Rocky Romero, Adrian Quest and Misterioso will face Rey Horus, Barrett Brown and The DKC. 

Night two of New Beginning USA on February 26 will feature Jon Moxley defending the IWGP United States Championship against KENTA. 

Strong airs Fridays at 10 p.m. Eastern time on NJPW World and is available on demand shortly after airing.
