TNA adds two title matches to Bound for Glory

The card for what is traditionally TNA’s biggest show of the year is taking shape with two title matches now added to Bound for Glory.

The TNA World Championship will officially be on the line at Bound for Glory on Sunday, October 12, with champ Trick Williams defending against Mike Santana. TNA director of authority Santino Marella made the match official on Thursday’s live Impact episode.

Indi Hartwell became the top contender to the TNA Knockouts World Championship on Thursday’s Impact by winning a three-way number one contender’s bout, and will challenge either Masha Slamovich or Ash by Elegance for the title at Bound for Glory. Ash is the current title holder, but must defend against Slamovich at Victory Road on September 26.

Already announced for Bound for Glory, TNA Tag Team Champions Matt and Jeff Hardy will defend their titles against Team 3D’s Bully Ray and Devon (The Dudley Boyz).

The Bound for Glory pay-per-view takes place in Lowell, Massachusetts on Sunday, October 12. The current card:

TNA Bound for Glory, Sunday, October 12 —

  • TNA World Champion Trick Williams defends against Mike Santana
  • TNA Knockouts World Champion (Ash by Elegance or Masha Slamovich) defends against Indi Hartwell
  • TNA Tag Team Champions Matt Hardy and Jeff Hardy defend against Bully Ray and Devon

TNA Impact live results: The final stop before Emergence

Former TNA World Champion Eric Young takes on past title challenger Mike Santana while Matt Cardona battles John Skyler.

Frankie Kazarian will interview International Champion Steve Maclin and Jake Something ahead of their no DQ, no countout match this Friday.

Taped in Kingston, Rhode Island.

Tom Hannifan & Matthew Rehwoldt were on commentary.

First Class (AJ Francis & Rick Swann) & Trick Williams defeated The System (Brian Myers, Eddie Edwards & JDC) (6:00)

This was supposed to be the main event, but someone jumped Moose in the back! The other members of the System were upset about this and demanded their match start the show. The System jumped the heels before the bell and they brawled for a bit around the outside. Once the match got in the ring, the System triple-teamed Rich Swann. Francis pulled the ropes open on JDC, causing him to crash the floor and allowing the heels to take control.

Williams got the tag and dropped JDC with a flapjack. A “Trick Kick” got Williams a near fall.  JDC escaped a bearhug and back suplexed Francis. JDC got the hot tag to Brian Myers. Myers hit an implant DDT and a Michinoku Driver for a near fall. Edwards and Myers clotheslined Francis to the floor, but Swann rolled up Myers and used his feet on the ropes for extra leverage to get the pin.

After the match (and long commercial break), Hannifan confirmed it was First Class and Trick that attacked Moose in the back. How will this affect the title match at Emergence tomorrow night?

Dani Luna & Indi Hartwell defeated Myla Grace & Harley Hudson (3:43)

The triple threat match they’ve spent the last few weeks building on this show between Masha Slammovich, Ash by Elegance and TNA Knockout’s Champion Jacy Jayne will be on NXT Heatwave. Hudson and Grace spent 3 minutes working over Luna. Hartwell got the tag and almost immediately got the pin on Grace with the “Hurt Donut.”

After the match, Rosemary snuck out of the crowd and misted Hartwell in the face.

Matt Cardona defeated John Skylar (w/ Jason Hotch & Tasha Steelz) (2:21)

Despite a lot of interference from the other members of Order 4, Cardona got an easy win with the Radio Silence. After the match, Skylar and Hotch jumped Cardona. Mustafa Ali came out and sent Agent Zero (who looked really tall last week standing in the aisle, but looked less imposing when standing next to Ali) to give Cardona a hanging tree slam. Ali stood at the entrace, very pleased with the Order 4.

After the match, Cardona found Steelz backstage to demand a match with Mustafa Ali, which was made for Emergence.

– In the back during a digital exclusive, Dani Luna and Jody Threat got chased away by the trainer who was trying to clean the mist off of Indi Hartwell’s face.

– A recap of Tuesday’s NXT, which was bright and live and a real contrast to the “fourth show from a marathon taping” vibe that TNA has going tonight.

– Santino Marella came out for the pull-apart brawl interview segment between the participants in the Knockouts Tag Title match tomorrow night. Heather and M are defending the tag titles under the “Freebird Rule.” After they all insulted each other (with the IInspiration being the best on the mics), Marella gave them all five seconds to brawl. They brawled while Marella counted to five, then called out security. What seemed like 20 security guys came out to break up the fight. The two heel teams (Fatal Influence and the Elegance Brand) wound up on the floor and the babyface teams (the IInsipration and Xia Brookside & Léi Yǐng Lee) all hit dives onto the piles of people (both security guards and wrestlers) on the floor.

– In another digital exclusive, Rosemary explained that if Indi Hartwell wants the TNA world title, she’ll have to go through her first.

The TNA Injury Report:

  • Moose was jumped in the back and his hip was hurt, but he will fight through the pain.
  • Indi Hartwell is “day-to-day” with “eye irritation” from Rosemary’s mist.
  • The Home Town Man has been cleared for tomorrow night.

– Mance Warner and Steph De Lander were suspended for what their unauthorized use of Santino Marella’s office last week, and they’re not happy about it.

Mike Santana defeated Eric Young (w/ The Northern Army) (5:30)

Young jumped Santana before the bell and hit him with a rolling lariat. Young dumped Santana to the floor where the Northern Army attacked him. Back in the ring, Young got a near fall after a hangman’s neckbreaker. Santana came back with an enziguri and took out the Northern Army with a tope on the floor. Back in the ring, Santana hit a rolling cutter for a near fall. Young hit a top rope elbow for a near fall. Santana escaped a piledriver and hit a death valley driver for a near fall. Santana hit Young with a rolling lariat and got the pinfall. Best thing on the show so far by miles.

After the match, The Northern Army jumped Santana, but Sami Callahan made the save.

– On NXT Tuesday, Joe Hendry WON A MATCH against Charlie Dempsey. And Trick Williams abandoned his partners (which included his challenger tomorrow night, Moose) to allow Dark State to beat his team.

 – Frankie Kazarian’s The King’s Speech, featuring Steve Maclin and Jake Something. Despite Kazarian’s best efforts to get them talking, Maclin and Something just stare each other down. Finally Maclin grabs the mic to tell Karazian to shut up. Kazarian insulted Something, who went after him. Karazin thumbed Something in the eye to escape. Something gave Maclin a black hole slam and stood over the International Champion to end the segment.

– New Matches for Emergence:

  • Indi Hartwell v. Rosemary
  • Mustafa Ali v. Matt Cardona
  • The System (Edwards and Myers) v. First Class

Also Ryan Nemeth v. The Home Town Man is confirmed for the pre-show.

– In a digital exclusive, Sami Callahan promised to retire if he lost tomorrow night at Emergence. Eddie Edwards interrupted and told Sami if it was going to be his last match, to leave it all in the ring tomorrow night.

Cedric Alexander & The Rascalz (Zachary Wentz & Myron Reed)  defeated The Hardys & Leon Slater (18:56 aired)

The Hardy have the TNA and “Fourth Rope” tag team championships with them.

The Hardys and Slater worked over Wentz in their corner for a while. Wentz eventually got the tag to Reed, and he tagged Matt Hardy with a superkick to take control. Alexander dropped Matt with a suplex for a near fall.

Wentz hit a slingshot senton for a near fall, and controlled Matt with a front facelock. Matt escaped, but Wentz went low with a dropkick to the knee. Wentz went to the top, but Matt followed him up and superplexed Wentz.

Jeff Hardy and Alexander got the tags, and Jeff took over on Alexander. Jeff went for the Twist of Fate, but Alexander blocked it. Hardy hit an ugly Whisper in the Wind (he came down on Alexander like a sack of concrete) for a near fall. Slater and Reed got into it, and Slater dropped Reed with a brainbuster. Slater took out both Rascalz with a back elbow. Reed blocked the “Twist of Fate” and Matt Hardy caught Wentz with a side effect. Jeff gave Alexander a face-first suplex, and Reed dropped Jeff with a Stundog Millionaire. Reed planted Slater with a facebuster for a near fall.

Alexander got the tag and set up Slater for a powerbomb, but Slater escaped. Slater went for the Twist of Slate again, but since he had to position himself for the hard camera (seriously) Alexander was able to block it. The Hardys and Slater got Alexander and the Rascalz with a triple Twist of Fate/Slate. The Hardys hit Alexander with Poetry in Motion, Matt landed a Side Effect, and Slater hit a splash for a near fall.

The Rascals got back in and doubleteamed the Hardys, sending them to the floor. Wentz tried for a dive on the Hardys, but they caught him. Reed followed up with his own dive to take out the Hardys. Slater then hit his 450 dive over the post on Reed.

Back in the ring, Slater went for the 450 on Alexander, but Alexander dodged it. Slater did a backspring into the ropes to hit Alexander, but Alexander caught him and dropped Slater with the Lumbar Check and got the pin on the X-Division champion!

A really good main event that helped heat up the X Division title match for tomorrow night. I don’t know if the show did a good enough job as a “go home” show for Emergence, but it did get me wanting to tune into NXT.

TNA Impact live results: Mike Santana vs. Joe Hendry

The fallout from last Sunday’s newsworthy TNA Slammiversary has arrived with tonight’s live edition of Impact from Kingston, Rhode Island.

After they both failed to defeat TNA World Champion Trick Williams, Mike Santana and Joe Hendry will go one-on-one.

New Knockouts Champion & NXT Women’s Champion Jacy Jayne will be on hand to celebrate her new double champion status.

After winning the X-Division Champion by unseating Moose and being put over by AJ Styles, Leon Slater will address what’s next.

The Elegance Brand left Slammiversary victorious and still Knockouts Tag Team Champions. They now head into trios action against The IInspiration and a mystery partner.

After failing to defeat the Fourth Rope crew Sunday, Mance Warner and Jake Something will come to blows in a no DQ match.

Hulk Hogan Tribute Kicks Things Off

This week’s special live episode of TNA Impact kicks off with a black and white “In memory of” graphic honoring Hulk Hogan. The voice of Tom Hannifan is heard announcing the unfortunate news, and then the show settles inside the Impact Zone where fans are chanting “USA! USA!”

Santino Marella, Masha Slamovich Open The Show

Following an extended video package recapping TNA Slammiversary 2025 from this past weekend, the show officially gets underway with the “Cross the Line” theme song and accompanying intro video. A shot of the Ryan Center is shown as Hannifan officially introduces the show.

Fans are loudly chanting “TNA! TNA!” as the camera settles inside the building. Santino Marella’s theme hits and the TNA Director of Authority emerges to get the show started. Santino addresses the top male and female titles in TNA being held by NXT stars.

“So lemme tell you something brothers …and sisters,” he says, in a clear not-so-subtle tip-of-the-cap to the late ‘Hulkster.’ As he continues to talk, the entrance tune for Masha Slamovich hits. The former TNA Knockouts Champion makes her way out.

Slamovich settles in the ring and gets on the mic, telling Santino she’s not out here to thank him for his pep talk. She’s out here to get what is rightfully hers. She says Jacy Jane stole what should be hers at TNA Slammiversary.

She demands her contractually obligated rematch next week. Santino green lights it. Off she goes, as Santino formally announces “Masha Slamovich vs. Jesse Jane for the TNA Knockouts World Championship.”

The System, Trick Williams & First Class, Order 4 Ready For War

As Slamovich is heading to the back, the theme for The System hits to bring out Moose, JDC, Brian Myers, Eddie Edwards and Alisha Edwards. Eddie shakes hands with Santino and begins first on the microphone. Eddie says The System fights for what they believe in.

He claims at TNA Slammiversary, they weren’t representing The System, they were representing the locker room and TNA as a whole. He said they sent Darkstate packing back to WWE NXT. The crowd cheers and breaks out in another “TNA! TNA!” chant.

Eddie talks about doing everything he can for a long time to help this company. He says there was a time he held this company down selfishly, but those days are over. He vows to not let any outsiders disrespect them.

Myers continues, saying the three letters T-N-A mean everything to The System. He says TNA isn’t a little pit-stop in their wrestling careers. It’s their home. JDC gets a turn on the stick next. He tells Santino if TNA is going to war, they’ll be their soldiers.

He hands the mic off to Moose, who brings up accomplishing almost everything in TNA. At this point in his career it’s not about titles. It’s about building a legacy that makes his name synonymous with TNA, just like “The Phenomenal” AJ Styles.

Moose goes on to give Leon Slater props once again for earning the right to call himself the youngest TNA X-Division Champion in company history. He sees him taking the division to new heights. He says that brings him to his next point, the TNA World Championship.

He says others are calling themselves the ‘face of TNA,’ and he’s seen many people come and go, just like Eddie Edwards has, who have said the same thing. He says Eddie is the heart and soul of TNA. He says they’ve been waving the TNA flag and carrying the company on their backs through thick-and-thin.

Moose says he knows what he must now do next. It’s as easy as three words. “Whoop that Trick.” Right on cue, the drumroll hits and the theme for the TNA World Champion hits. Out comes the WWE NXT Superstar Trick Williams accompanied by First Class.

Trick goes on to call out Moose for mumbling his words while trying to call him out. He says to be clear, this is his house now. “I’m the man who took out the average Joe.” He boasts being the same man who also took out Mike Santana and brought TNA the largest attendance of all-time.

“This is Trick-N-A,” he adds. He tells Moose he doesn’t care if he’s on a mission, repping The System or playing for the Detroit Pistons. He can’t mess with Trick, “let’s talk about it!” Moose tells Trick to wobble his ass down here “with Uncle Phil and Pink” and The System will show them how they do things in TNA.

On that note, the entrance tune for Order 4 hits and out comes Mustafa Ali, Tasha Steelz and The Great Hands duo of John Skyler and Jason Hotch. Ali tells “Mr. Williams” that they shouldn’t talk about it. He mentions burying his ass like his name is The Undertaker as he and Order 4 walk past him.

Ali demands “the citizens of TNA” in the Impact Zone rise and give him proper applause. As he finishes his statement while entering the ring, he and Order 4 are attacked by The System. The two groups brawl as Trick and First Class are shown laughing and enjoying it on the stage.

The show heads to a commercial break. When the show returns, Santino Marella is backstage with The System, when Matt Cardona walks up. He talks about faction warfare with three groups and says they have to settle this.

The Elegance Brand (Ash By Elegance, Heather By Elegance & M By Elegance) (w/ George Iceman) vs. The IInspiration (Cassie Lee & Jessie McKay) & Mara Sade

Inside the Impact Zone, George Iceman talks some trash on the mic to the crowd before personally introducing the TNA Knockouts Tag-Team Champions The Elegance Brand. Out comes the entire trio of Ash By Elegance, Heather By Elegance and M By Elegance.

From there, The IInspiration duo of Cassie Lee and Jessie McKay make their way out. They settle in the ring as the crowd and commentary team await the arrival of their mystery partner. The theme for Mara Sade, formerly known as Jakara Jackson, hits and out she comes.

A brawl between all six kicks things off. As The Elegance Brand settles into the early offensive lead, the show shifts gears and heads into an early mid-match commercial break. When the show returns, Ash and the rest of the Elegance Brand are keeping Lee isolated on their side of the ring.

Eventually, Lee makes the much-needed tag. This leads to Mara Slade helping out en route to The IInspiration hitting their double-team IIdolizer finisher for the pinfall victory. The three celebrate together after the match.

Match Result: The IInspiration & Mara Slade defeated The Elegance Brand

TNA Injury Report Presented By Bioflex

Tom Hannifan narrates a new TNA Injury Report presented by Bioflex. We learn that TNA interviewer Gia Miller suffered multiple bruises and a minor head injury as a result of the attack by Tessa Blanchard, who is suspended indefinitely as a result. Miller is under medical observation and will be sidelined while recovering.

Moose suffered a hip injury during his TNA X-Division Championship loss to Leon Slater at TNA Slammiversary. His status is day-to-day as he is being monitored by TNA medical staff.

Finally, KC Navarro reaggravated a previous knee injury during the four-way tag-team title ladder match at TNA Slammiversary.

Indi Hartwell And ‘Not Her Mentor’ Victoria Crawford

Backstage, Mike Santana avoids questions about coming up short at TNA Slammiversary. Indi Hartwell is interviewed, when Victoria Crawford and Dani Luna get involved in the mix and a match is suggested.

Crawford, calling herself Hartwell’s mentor, goes off to find Santino to make said-match. Hartwell insists Crawford is not her mentor. The show heads into another commercial break.

Eric Young Wants To ‘Cleanse’ TNA

The show returns to Eric Young with The Northern Armory talking like a crazy man about wanting to do what’s necessary to “cleanse TNA.” Tom Hannifan questions what in the world that could mean. The show then moves on.

Leon Slater & The Hardys & Steve Maclin Talk

Inside the Impact Zone, the youngest TNA X-Division Champion of all-time, Leon Slater, is introduced. He makes his way to the ring as highlights of AJ Styles singing his praises at TNA Slammiversary are shown. He settles in the ring and gets on the microphone.

Slater tells the fans chanting his name and “You deserve it!” that they are far too kind. He talks about making history and how he respects Moose for how he has handled things. He vows to bring the TNA X-Division Championship to new heights.

He asks The Hardys to come out. They do. Matt Hardy talks about there being a special energy in the building tonight and in TNA in general. He sings the praises of Leon Slater, and then Jeff Hardy does the same. Steve Maclin’s theme hits and out he comes.

Maclin talks about being ready for war after outsiders infiltrate TNA regularly. He then praises Slater for being the future and calls The Hardys his peers and mentors and the greatest tag-team of all-time. “And then well, you got me.”

They claim that the four of them are ready to represent TNA in war. From there, they alll hold their respective titles up in the air together to end things. The show heads to another commercial break on that note.

No Disqualification Match
Mance Warner (w/ Steph De Lander) vs. Jake Something

The show returns from the break live inside the Impact Zone as Mance Warner’s theme song plays. Out he comes accompanied by Steph De Lander for advertised No Disqualification action against Jake Something. He settles in the ring and poses.

Music for his opponent plays, and Jake Something runs down the ramp, is met by Warner in the aisle, and the two immediately get after it. In the ring, Warner takes over and begins beating Something down with a steel chair and trash can lid.

De Lander continues feeding chairs and other weapons inside the ring. Something whacks Warner with one of them that knocks him to the floor. He builds up a full head of steam and sprints to the ropes for a dive, but dives right into a chair shot from Warner.

As Matthew Rehwoldt points out, De Lander feeds Warner a “sledgehammer and a smooch” as the action resumes in the ring. He misses on the former, however, leading to Something blasting Warner. Something’s arm appears to be bothering him pretty bad.

Regardless, Something heads out after Warner on the floor, stopping to pull out a black sack full of thumbtacks. He pours them all over the ringside area on the floor. He looks for a chokeslam, but Warner fights his way free. Something hits a back-suplex into them. Counter-productive?

Something is up first, because 100 tacks in your body doesn’t hurt as much when you initiate the slam onto them. Back in the ring, Something hits a follow-up Blackhole Slam and gets the win to put an end to the violence. The show heads to another break.

Match Result: Jake Something defeated Mance Warner

Jacy Jane Ready To Raise The Bar

The show returns to the sounds of Jacy Jane’s theme music. The double women’s champion makes her way out with the WWE NXT Women’s Championship and the TNA Knockouts World Champion.

She cuts a quick promo about making history and raising the bar. She mentions her contractually obligated rematch against Masha Slamovich on next week’s show and tells everyone to take a picture of perfection.

The Great Hands (John Skyler & Jason Hotch) (w/ Mustafa Ali & Tasha Steelz) vs. Matt Cardona & Brian Myers (w/ Alisha Edwards)

The show returns to the sounds of the Order 4 theme song. Out comes Mustafa Ali and Tasha Steelz with The Secret Service guys in suits lining the aisle, as The Great Hands team of John Skyler and Jason Hotch make their way to the ring for tag-team action.

Out next are their opponents, “The Complete” Matt Cardona and The System’s Brian Myers, accompanied by Alisha Edwards. The bell sounds and off we go. Cardona and Myers take it to Hotch early on. Myers settles into the offensive lead.

As the action continues, Ali tries to get involved, but is stopped. Steelz tries to get involved, but Alisha stops her. A giant member of The Secret Service for Ali hits the ring. The massive man chokeslams his way into an assisted victory, as The Great Hands follow up with the pin. We head to another break.

Match Result: The Great Hands defeated Matt Cardona & Brian Myers

Mike Santana vs. Joe Hendry

It’s main event time!

When the show returns, we see Tom Hannifan and Matthew Rehwoldt on camera at ringside getting ready to call the final match of this week’s special live, post-Slammiversary episode of TNA Impact in Kingston, Rhode Island.

Before they can do so, however, they are joined by an unwelcome guest in the form of self-proclaimed “King of TNA” Frankie Kazarian. Security ends up coming out and escorting him to the back when he is ejected before anything happens.

Mike Santana’s theme hits and after a quick glance at him backstage in his gear, pacing side-to-side, he begins his walk through the crowd and to the ring. He settles inside to a good reaction from the Rhode Island crowd.

The viral smash hit, “I Believe in Joe Hendry” is the next thing to hit the house speakers, as Joe Hendry himself emerges and makes his way to the ring. A side-to-side wave-led crowd interaction is followed by the soap opera-style dramatic turn to close out his fan-friendly ring walk.

Before the bell sounds, the show heads to a quick pre-match commercial break. During the break, Frankie Kazarian tries bullying his way back out. He is stopped by Hendry on one side of the floor. He tries walking around to the other, but Santana stops him.

After security runs down and forces him to the back again, the show returns from break and the bell sounds to get things officially off-and-running. The match starts off with Hendry attempting a sportsmanlike shake of hands.

Santana plays to the crowd before deciding, and afterwards, the two finally get after it. Santana starts off strong, but it isn’t long before Hendry takes over and settles into a prolonged run of offensive control. Hendry is dominating, but can’t find a way to finish Santana off.

As the action continues, the show shifts gears and settles into the final mid-match commercial break of the evening. When the show returns, Hendry is blasting Santana with European uppercuts, but Santana explodes off the ropes with a clothesline to shift the momentum.

Santana goes for the Rolling Buck-50, but Hendry avoids it and seconds later, catches Santana with a picture-perfect cutter. Both guys are down and slow to recover as the referee begins his double count. Hendry hits an Olympic slam for a close two-count.

After the two each try their finishers, and an insane amount of back-and-forth pin attempts and roll-ups, it is Santana who pulls things off after avoiding a Razor’s Edge from Hendry. He picks up the 1-2-3 and the win.

He and Hendry go nose-to-nose and Hendry shakes his hand and walks off. Santana celebrates as Hannifan takes the show off the air. That’s how things wrap up.

Match Result: Mike Santana defeated Joe Hendry

Mike Santana on TNA Slammiversary result: ‘The air drained right out of the room’

Mike Santana has issued a statement regarding the main event of TNA Slammiversary.

Trick Williams retained his TNA World Championship on the show in a triple threat match against Santana and Joe Hendry, stealing the pin from Santana after he seemingly had Hendry beat with two Spin the Blocks. He wrote on X that not winning the title on Sunday has made him want it even more and that he hopes to talk further about what happened on Impact this week.

Santana wrote:

“It’s been a long 3 days. I needed the time to myself to rest, recover, and reflect. But before getting into how I’ve been feeling. I want to show some gratitude. First and foremost, I want to thank God and My family. Looking back on the last few years of my life. Both have played such an integral roll in getting me to where I am today. God for continuing to guide and watch over me. And my family for their endless support and encouragement. Like most of us who do this at a top level, we sacrifice a lot. But they’ve stood there with open arms every time I’ve made my way back. To the entire team at @ThisIsTNA. From the locker room to everyone behind the cameras. Last Sunday was a celebration for all the endless hard work we’ve put in to make this happen. The front office, the camera/production crew, the men and women in the ring, and every dept that puts in work. I want to personally THANK YOU. And to the fans. Without all of you, none of this happens. You all continue to support and make your voices heard loud and clear. And we do our very best to give you something worth paying your hard earned money. Aside from the support you have given TNA. I want to THANK YOU for taking the ride on this journey with me. I was in the main event last Sunday, not just because of the hard work I’ve put in but because YOU all wanted me there. And that’s something I’ll forever cherish. Now to how I’m feeling….I lost…in front of my family, friends, city, and culture. I felt the air drained right out of the room when the 3 count happened and it wasn’t me with my hand raised. I was SO CLOSE and had it ripped right out of my hands. The disappointment from the fans in the arena and at home. The sadness that my family felt. And the tears that my daughter shed…all did something to me. IT MADE ME WANT IT EVEN MORE. They always say, it’s the journey that matters the most. And the ride that I’ve been on with all of you on my back, has been a special one. I WILL BE YOUR CHAMPION. I hope for the opportunity to speak to you all in the coming weeks on #TNAiMPACT, regarding my future. Tune in for a LIVE episode, tomorrow at 8PM.”

Santana will be in action on Thursday’s episode of TNA Impact. He’ll face Hendry in singles action. The show is set to air live from the Ryan Center in Kingston, Rhode Island. The updated lineup is available below.

TNA Impact lineup for Thursday, July 24:

  • Joe Hendry vs. Mike Santana
  • NXT Women’s Champion & TNA Knockouts Champion Jacy Jayne appears
  • The Elegance Brand (Ash By Elegance, Heather By Elegance & M By Elegance) vs. The IInspiration (Cassie Lee & Jessica McKay) and a mystery partner

Trick Williams retains World title at TNA Slammiversary

In a bit of a surprise, TNA World Champion and NXT star Trick Williams left TNA Slammiversary with his title reign intact.

Williams defeated Joe Hendry and local favorite Mike Santana in the three-way main event of Sunday’s pay-per-view from Long Island, New York’s UBS Arena, feigning an injury that led into the finish.

Santana and Hendry were dueling it out in the ring as Williams was being tended to by referees and officials after appearing to get injured. After Santana hit two Spin the Block clotheslines on Hendry, Williams (who had remained in the entrance aisle the entire time) ran into the ring, threw Santana out of it, and got the pin on Hendry.

The 31-year-old has held the title for nearly two months after winning it from Hendry at May’s NXT Battleground. Both of TNA’s top singles titles are now held by WWE contracted talent as NXT Women’s Champion Jacy Jayne defeated Masha Slamovich for the Knockouts title earlier in the night.

Santana, whose daughter was at ringside, was looking for his first TNA World title win while Hendry was gunning for his second run.

TNA Slammiversary live results: World title three-way, AJ Styles returns

TNA holds its biggest event of the year — Slammiversary — in front of one of its largest crowds ever at the UBS Arena on Long Island, New York.

The PPV headliner is a three-way for the TNA World title as NXT’s Trick Williams defends against Mike Santana and Joe Hendry.

WWE star & former TNA legend AJ Styles will make his return for the first time since December 2013.

Knockouts Champion Masha Slamovich defends against NXT Women’s Champion Jacy Jayne in a title vs. title match.

In a four-way ladder match for the titles, TNA Tag Team Champions The Nemeths defend against The Hardys, The Rascalz, and First Class.

International Champion Steve Maclin teams with Mance Warner & Jake Something against the debuting Real1 (Enzo Amore), Zilla Fatu & Josh Bishop.

In eight-man action, NXT’s Darkstate will battle The System & Matt Cardona.

The card is rounded out by Tessa Blanchard vs. Indi Hartwell, Mustafa Ali vs. Cedric Alexander, and X-Division Champion Moose defending against Leon Slater.

**********

Johnny Rodz Honored

The show kicks off inside the UBS Arena with Gia Miller, Tommy Dreamer and Busted Open Radio host David LaGreca. Dreamer brings out Masha Slamovich with Johnny Rodz. He lists all of the wrestlers Rodz trained and says he just wanted to bring him out here in his hometown to give him his flowers.

TNA Knockouts Tag-Team Championships
The Elegance Brand (Ash & Heather By Elegance) (c) vs. The IInspiration (Jess McKay & Cassie Lee)

The pre-show panel send things down to Tom Hannifan and Matthew Rehwoldt at ringside, who set up the tale of the tape for our first match of the evening. The TNA Tag Lines graphic flashes on the screen for the opening contest.

From there, The IInspiration duo of Jess McKay and Cassie Lee make their way out. The duo heads to the ring for their big title opportunity. George Iceman snatches the microphone from Gia Miller at the top of the stage to handle the intro for The Elegance Brand.

With that said, Ash by Elegance and Heather By Elegance make their way out and head to the ring for their scheduled TNA Knockouts Tag-Team Championship defense. They are accompanied by M By Elegance. All three are carrying torches of liberty.

At the bell, we see Heather By Elegance and Jess McKay kick things off for their respective teams. McKay gets Heather in the corner and stomps a mudhole in her. She does not walk it dry, however. She makes the tag to Lee, and the two hit a double-team spot and do a Charlie’s Angels style pose.

The Elegance Brand take over after that, controlling the offensive for a couple of minutes until Cassie Lee gets the hot tag and shifts the momentum into the favor of The IInspiration. Cassie hits a superplex off the ropes on Ash for a two-count that M By Elegance breaks up.

Lee and McKay each take turns connecting with dives from the corner to the pile of Elegance on the floor. In the ring, McKay and Lee look for their Idolizer double-team finisher, only for it to be broken up. A torch to the face from Elegance leads to Rarified Air for the win.

Match Result: The Elegance Brand defeated The IInspiration to retain the TNA Knockouts Tag-Team titles.

Eric Young (w/The Northern Armory) vs. The Hometown Man

As the pre-show panel talk about tonight’s action, the lights in the UBS Arena go out. The theme for Eric Young hits, and out he comes with The Northern Armory. Young gets on the mic and trashes New York, leading to The Hometown Man coming out.

The Hometown Man takes out Judas Icarus and Travis Williams at ringside, and enters the ring and begins mixing it up with Young. The bell sounds to get this impromptu match off-and-running. Young fights back and tears the New York Islanders jersey off The Hometown Man.

From there, The Hometown Man begins fighting back and taking over. He hits the ten punch spot on Young in the corner, as the fans count along. He brings Young to the ropes in the corner, but Young knocks him off and hits a flying elbow for a two-count.

Young loses his cool and snaps, getting close to picking a fight with a fan in the crowd once again. He eventually re-enters the ring, where The Hometown Man has recovered. Young looks for a piledriver, but Hometown Man rolls him up for the three-count and the upset win.

Match Result: The Hometown Man defeated Eric Young

Steve Maclin, Jake Something & Mance Warner (w/Steph Delander) vs. Real1, Zilla Fatu & Josh Bishop

TNA International Champion Steve Maclin makes his way out, followed by Jake Something and then Mance Warner, who comes out accompanied by Steph De Lander. They settle in the ring and then their Fourth Rope opposition comes out.

Real1, formerly known as Enzo Amore, makes his way out accompanied by Zilla Fatu and Josh Bishop. Real1 does all of his old WWE routines, “Badda boom, realest guy in the room,” the things you can’t teach and so on and so forth.

He then lists all of the people Zilla Fatu is related to, as well as how Bishop looks like Sid. He takes turns verbally dressing down Maclin, Something and Warner, and finishes with “How you doin?!” They enter the ring and it’s time to get this one underway.

At the bell, Fatu and Warner kick things off for their respective teams. They begin trading shots. Fatu hits an explosive Samoan Drop and heads to the top-rope. He misses a big splash, and Warner tags in Maclin. Real1 tags in, and Maclin goes to work on him.

Things break down with all six brawling it out inside and outside of the ring. In the chaos, Bishop hits a big chokeslam. Incidental contact with Mance Warner leads to Real1 hitting Eat Defeat for the pinfall victory.

Match Result: Real1, Zilla Fatu & Josh Bishop defeated Steve Maclin, Jake Something & Mance Warner

Mustafa Ali vs. Cedric Alexander

The pre-show wraps up after final hype from the panelists about the long-awaited return of AJ Styles to TNA for the first time in 11 years later tonight. We learn that Mustafa Ali vs. Cedric Alexander will be the first pay-per-view bout of the show.

A live cold open shows a lady singing the National Anthem inside the UBS Arena. From there, the elaborate cold open video package airs to get the pay-per-view portion of the show officially off-and-running.

Back live, Mustafa Ali makes his way out first accompanied by Tasha Steelz and his Secret Service guys. A bunch of heels from The Matrix, basically. They line the aisle as Ali settles in the ring. Cedric Alexander comes out next and fires up the crowd.

The bell sounds to get things started. These two soak up the moment and get after it. The action spills to the floor early, where Ali hits a nasty German suplex. He re-enters the ring and goes for a dive through the ropes, but his Secret Service didn’t catch him. He landed right on his head.

Ali pops up to “Holy sh*t!” chants and slumps against the ring apron on the floor, all the while wearing a massive smirk. Moments later, we see a wild Michinoku Driver onto the Secret Service members on the floor.

Back in the ring. Ali hits a sick tornado DDT. He looks to follow up with a standing moonsault-senton combo, but Alexander rolls out of the way. A front face-lock suplex into the turnbuckles from Alexander gets him a close two-count.

On the floor, the top-half of the steel ring steps are removed. Alexander hits a big back body-drop, Shawn Michaels-level height, on Ali, who lands on the unforgiving steel on the way down. Tasha Steelz distracts the referee, allowing John Skyler to attack out of nowhere.

Ali follows up with a 450-splash off the top-rope onto Alexander. He immediately follows up with the cover, yet Alexander somehow kicks out before the count of three. A loud “TNA! TNA!” chant breaks out. Steelz gets in the ring and pushes the referee. She gets ejected.

Ali measures Alexander for a rolling neckbreaker attempt, but instead dives into a well-timed cutter-counter from Alexander. Skyler tries getting involved, but gets bumped to the floor. Alexander hits Lumbar-Check on Ali into a pin, but Ali somehow kicks out, too.

The action continues, and as Alexander has Ali down, a chair enters the mix. Steelz runs back down and slides into the ring. She crawls to the chair, but by the time she gets to it, Alexander steps on it. Alexander hits Steelz with a Lumbar Check, but Ali quickly hits Alexander with a 450 for the win.

Match Result: Mustafa Ali defeated Cedric Alexander

The System (JDC, Eddie Edwards & Brian Myers) (w/Alisha Edwards) & Matt Cardona vs. Darkstate (Dion Lennox, Osiris Griffin, Saquon Shugars & Cutler James)

After some preamble from Hannifan and Rewholdt, and the international commentary team at ringside, we shift gears and prepare for a big eight-man tag-team bout, with TNA stars taking on WWE NXT stars. Out first comes The System trio of JDC, Eddie Edwards and Brian Myers.

They head to the ring accompanied by Alisha Edwards. The theme for Matt Cardona hits and Long Island’s own “Alwayz Ready” makes his way out to a huge hometown reaction from the crowd. Darkstate foursome Dion Lennox, Osiris Griffin, Saquon Shugars, and Cutler James are out next.

As soon as Darkstate surrounds the ring, The System and Cardona bring the fight to them, with all eight guys brawling in and around the ringside area. Alisha slides JDC a chair and blows a whistle and points to the sky, in an homage to Sabu, before JDC hits a dive to the floor.

Osiris manhandles Myers in the ring after Myers is sent into the steel ring post on the floor. Things settle into an actual match now, with Darkstate taking the early lead. Lennox tags in and picks up where Osiris left off, taking it to Myers.

Shugars hits the ring to knock Myers’ partners off the apron, taking away his option to tag out, which he desparately needs to do at this point. They drag Myers back to their side of the ring and continue utilizing frequent tags to keep a fresh man on him at all times.

Shugars ends up as the legal man in the ring for Darkstate, just as Cardona finally tags in for the other side. The crowd goes wild as Cardona hits the Re-Boot for a close two-count. Cardona hits Radio Silence into a Boston Knee Party from Edwards for the win.

Match Result: The System & Matt Cardona defeated Darkstate

Gia Miller Interviews Tim Malcolm

Tom Hannifan mentions on commentary how all the stars are in the house tonight. He introduces Gia Miller, who is standing by at ringside with Tim Malcolm (yes THE Tim Malcolm) of TLC’s 90 Day Fiancée.

The crowd proceeds to boo the living hell out of him as he tries talking about how big of a TNA fan he is. You’ve got to love pro wrestling fans.

Tessa Blanchard (w/Victoria Crawford) vs. Indi Hartwell

The pre-match video package then airs to set the stage for Knockouts one-on-one action, which is up next. Back live, Tessa Blanchard’s theme hits and out she comes accompanied by Victoria Crawford. Her opponent, Indi Hartwell, comes out next to a big reaction.

The bell sounds and off we go. The two stare at each other for a good few seconds before engaging. Blanchard gets Hartwell to chase her in and around the ring, and catches her coming in with a big shot. Fans chant “She’s a racist!” at Blanchard.

Blanchard forges ahead, ignoring the crowd and continuing to dominate the early portion of the match. After several more minutes of back-and-forth action, Blanchard hits a picture-perfect Magnum off the ropes. She goes for the cover, but Hartwell kicks out.

Blanchard sells it like she saw a ghost, as commentary reminds the viewing audience that no one has kicked out of it since she’s returned. Hartwell hits Hurts Don’t It and a big follow-up into a pin for the victory out of nowhere.

As Gia Miller is interviewing Hartwell at ringside afterwards, Blanchard snaps and attacks Hartwell. Gia tries stopping her, so Blanchard snaps even worse and viciously attacks Miller, slamming her face into the steel steps as Craford holds Hartwell back from attempting to help.

Security eventually breaks things up. Backstage, Santino Marella is filled with rage as he approaches Blanchard and Crawford. Blanchard says they deserved it. She calls Gia a stooge. Santino says there will be repercussions for her actions and has security carry her away.

Match Result: Indi Hartwell defeated Tessa Blanchard

The IInspiration With An Announcement

Backstage, we see George Iceman and The Elegance Brand with their TNA Knockouts Tag-Team Championships. They are confronted by The IInspiration, who are mad about M By Elegance helping them in the match earlier. They tease a friend in high places for a trios match on Impact.

Winner Take All
TNA Knockouts Champion Masha Slamovich vs. NXT Women’s Champion Jacy Jane

The pre-match video package airs for the next match of the evening, which is the “Winner Take All” champion versus champion showdown, as TNA Knockouts Champion Masha Slamovich and NXT Women’s Champion Jacy Jane collide.

The NXT Women’s Champion makes her way to the ring accompanied by Fatal Influence. The TNA Knockouts Champion is out next. The bell sounds and off we go. Slamovich starts off well, but it isn’t long before Jane takes over.

Jane settles into a prolonged run in the offensive lead. She dominates Slamovich, but is unable to finish her off. Every time Slamovich shows signs of life, Jane’s cronies from Fatal Influence get involved. Jane tries a cheap shot with the title, but Slamovich hangs on.

As Fatal Influence gets involved again, Xia Brookside and Lei Ying Lee run out to make the save, beating down Jazmyn Nyx and Fallon Henley in the process. Meanwhile in the ring, we see a Snow Plow from Slamovich for a close two-count of her own.

Slamovich looks for Requiem, but Jane avoids it. Jane with a roll-up out of nowhere, but Slamovich kicks out. Jane hits a Rolling Encore out of the blue and covers her. 1-2-3. Jacy Jane wins. She is now the TNA Knockouts and NXT Women’s Champion.

After the match, TNA President Carlos Silva gets on the apron and watches Jane celebrate with both titles.

Match Result: Jacy Jane defeated Masha Slamovich to become the TNA Knockouts & NXT Women’s Champion

TNA X-Division Championship
Moose (c) vs. Leon Slater

The commentators hype things up for the next match, which once again features a title on-the-line. The TNA Tag Lines graphic flashes on the screen to set the stage for the TNA X-Division Championship. Moose, the reigning title-holder is chasing history as the longest reigning champ.

Leon Slater is looking to become the youngest TNA X-Division Champion ever with a potential win tonight. Slater makes his way to the ring to a good reaction from the crowd inside the packed UBS Arena, with 7,623 fans in attendance, setting a new U.S. record for TNA.

Reigning TNA X-Division Champion Moose is shown on the stage in a throne with a slightly modified theme song. He makes his way to the ring. The ring announcer finishes up the pre-match introductions and the bell sounds to get things started.

Moose manhandles Slater from the word “go.” On the floor, he hoists Slater up in a powerbomb position, with his body draping. He swings him side-to-side, looking to bash him into the ring apron. Instead, Slater flips to his feet and leaps a charging Moose, who spears the ring steps.

Now with Moose’s shoulder weakened, Slater takes over on offense, hitting some big high spots that pops the crowd back inside the ring. Slater knocks Moose out to the floor and does his trademark sprinting leap over the ring post to the floor high spot.

Moose takes over again, as Slater’s mom, sister and girlfriend are shown in the crowd. Slater begins fighting back. He hoists Moose up for a Torture Rack Blue Thunder Bomb, but Moose avoids it. Slater hits a Senton 450 off the ropes but somehow Moose kicks out.

Seconds later, Moose begins catching his second wind. He nails Slater with a spear that sends him out to the floor. Moose goes after him, but runs into a Code Red from a prepared Slater. Slater rolls Moose into the ring and climbs to the top.

Moose rolls far away and flips him off. Slater hits a Swanton like Jeff Hardy way across the ring. He follows that up with a Senton 450 off the top for the pin and the win.

With the victory, Leon Slater becomes the youngest TNA X-Division Champion of all-time. He celebrates with his mom, sister and girlfriend in the crowd in a beautiful moment. Moose puts the title around Slater’s waist in a rare moment of respect from The System member.

Match Result: Leon Slater defeated Moose to become the new TNA X-Division Champion

AJ Styles Makes Long-Awaited TNA Return

The post-match celebration for Leon Slater continues, and then the theme for AJ Styles hits and the record-breaking crowd in Long Island goes bonkers as “The Phenomenal One” makes his way out to the ring.

He asks if the fans missed him. He says it’s good to be back in the place where he made his name. He talks about the company having some of the best young talent in the world, like Slater, who became the youngest X-Division Champion in history tonight.

‘Fans break out in a loud “You deserve it!” chant aimed at Slater. Styles tells Slater not to listen to the fans. He says he doesn’t deserve it. He earned it. The fans cheer. Fans break out in a “Welcome Back!” chant aimed at Styles.

Styles says Slater reminded fans that TNA isn’t about weight limits, it’s about no limits. He mentions some of the names he shared the ring with during his days in the X-Division and then once again congratulates Leon Slater for becoming the youngest X-Division Champion ever.

His music plays again. Slater walks off as Styles claps from the ring looking at him. He then poses to the crowd himself on the ropes. That’s how the AJ Styles appearance wrapped up. For now, anyways.

TNA Tag-Team Championship Ladder Match
The Nemeths (Nic & Ryan Nemeth) (c) vs. The Rascalz (Zachary Wentz & Myron Reed) vs. First Class (AJ Francis & KC Navarro) vs. The Hardys (Matt & Jeff Hardy)

Now it’s time for another championship clash, as the TNA Tag-Team Championships will be on the line. The Nemeths defend against The Rascalz, First Class and The Hardys in a four-way ladder match. The pre-match package wraps up and back live return inside UBS Arena.

The Rascalz duo of Zachary Wentz and Myron Reed, who is filling in for Trey Miguel, make their way out first. First Class duo AJ Francis and KC Navarro, who is dealing with an injury himself, come out to some random rappers. The Hardys come out last and the bell sounds.

All hell breaks loose straight out of the gate. Within all of a minute, we see multiple ladders entered into the mix. The high spot fest begins early. We see The Rascalz hit some crazy spots, followed by The Nemeths.

At one point, we see Ryan Nemeth get in MLB legend Johnny Damon’s face at ringside. Damon shoves him. Nic runs over to hold Ryan back. AJ Francis hits a huge moonsault off the ladder onto the pile of bodies in the ring.

Moments later, as Francis and Navarro are both climbing up the same ladder in the ring, it is shoved over and they go flying onto a pair of ladder bridges near the entrance. Francis’ legs go through the rungs on the long way down. Ouch.

From there, The Hardys come to life again. They lay Navarro out over a ladder bridge near the commentary desk. Jeff Hardy hits a swanton onto it, but it doesn’t bend or break. Hardy’s back snaps bad upon landing.

Apparently he’s fine, however, because seconds later Jeff Hardy calls for something from the entrance area. We see a rope style ladder drop from the ceiling. Ryan starts climbing it, but Matt whacks him with a chair.

Nic tries climbing the rope ladder, but Jeff stops him. Jeff climbs the rope ladder and pulls the belts down. The Hardys are your new tag champs. After the match, Bully Ray comes out and challenges The Hardys to defend their titles against Team 3D in “one last great tag team match” in October at TNA Bound For Glory.

Match Result: The Hardys defeated The Nemeths, The Rascalz & First Class to become new TNA Tag-Team Champions

TNA World Championship
Trick Williams (c) vs. Joe Hendry vs. Mike Santana

It’s main event time!

Once the tag title match and aftermath wraps up, we see TNA Director of Authority Santino Marella come out and announce that Tessa Blanchard is suspended indefinitely following her actions earlier tonight. He then asks the pre-show panel for their main event predictions.

As they are giving them, they are cut off by the entrance tune for Frankie Kazarian. Out comes the self-proclaimed “King of TNA.” He rambles about how good looking he is, and what a dork Dave LeGreca is, before announcing he is going to do special commentary.

Kazarian joins Hannifan and Rehwoldt on the call for our high stakes three-way main event. As he does, Santino directs the crowds attention to the big screen where the pre-match video package airs to explain how we got to this main event title tilt.

Joe Hendry’s theme hits and out he comes as fans sing along with the viral smash hit. He settles on the apron and leads the record-breaking crowd in a giant wave. Mike Santana is shown praying backstage in his gear as someone in the ring draped in Puerto Rican flags begins rapping.

Santana begins his custom Jey Uso, Jon Moxley-style ring entrance through the crowd. The fans in Long Island are very much behind Santana tonight. Live rap, ladies and gentlemen. Does it ever deliver? The guy is now yelling, “When I say San, ya’ll say Tana!”

The entrance had a lot of energy, but felt like an unknown rapper getting a spotlight to do some bad karaoke and crowd interactions. He tries rapping again when he can find out where he is in the song. Ouch. Mercifully, this ‘performance’ appears to be over.

After whatever that was, we shoot to the stage where a choir dressed in all black begin church-style singing, “Whoop that Trick!” They mix in some melody and range. Now this is music! Some girls melodize it while bass-voiced guys say “Boom, boom, boom!” in-tune to the Trick-chants.

This eventually merges into the usual Trick Williams theme, which they continue doing their choir-style singing over. The reigning, defending TNA World Champion emerges in a big, fancy robe. He heads to the ring and poses on the ropes as the choir finishes up.

After the final pre-match introductions from the ring announcer, the main event of the evening finally gets underway. It’s definitely a Mike Santana-pro crowd in “The Empire State” this evening. Hendry and Santana get Williams out of the picture early on.

With Williams on the floor recovering, Hendry and Santana duke it out in the ring. Santana looks for Spin the Block, but doesn’t get it. Trick nails him from behind after re-entering the ring. After some more action, Kazarian gets involved, leading to him being ejected.

Trick gets nailed out to the floor, where Santana hits a big dive. Back in the ring, Hendry and Santana duke it out by themselves. Hendry connects with Standing Ovation and goes for the cover. Santana somehow kicks out. Fans chant “San-tan-a!”

Santana gets up to his knees and waves in Hendry to bring on more punishment. They trade shots back-and-forth as Santana gets back to his feet. Santana levels Hendry with Spin the Block. He hits another one and goes for the cover, but Trick steals the pin and gets the win to retain.

Match Result: Trick Williams defeated Mike Santana and Joe Hendry to retain the TNA World Championship

**********

Moose (w/Alisha Edwards) vs. Sami Callihan

The usual recap package airs showing highlights from last week’s show, and then the signature opening video and accompanying “Cross the Line” theme song plays. Tom Hannifan and Matthew Rehwoldt welcome us to the final TNA Impact on the road to TNA Slammiversary.

We hear the familiar sounds of Moose’s theme music, as The System member and reigning TNA X-Division Champion makes his way to the ring accompanied by Alisha Edwards. Sami Callihan’s death metal is heard next, as the TNA veteran makes his way out.

After the bell sounds to get things officially off-and-running in the opening match of the evening, Moose takes the early offensive lead. Callihan gets in some offense for a minute or two after things spill out to the floor, however back in the ring, Moose hits a spear for the quick victory.

Once the match wraps up, we hear the single most annoying voice in the world saying the single most nails-on-a-chalkboard catchphrase. “Do you wanna know something,” asks Alisha Edwards, before handing the microphone off to Moose.

The TNA X-Division Champion talks about Leon Slater and their title tilt at TNA Slammiversary, and how Slater aims to make history by becoming the youngest TNA X-Division Champion of all-time. Moose says not only will that not happen, but Moose will win and go on to break his own record.

The record for the longest-reigning TNA Knockouts Champion of all-time. He sees Sami Callihan recovering and slowly getting back up, prompting him to ask Callihan what he’s still doing here. He says he used to be a “Death Machine,” but now he’s just a fat piece of trash.

He calls Callihan a “fat turd,” and orders him to take his boots off and leave them, and then get “his fat ass out of my ring.” Alisha starts yelling at him to do it. He begins unlacing them, but stops and rolls out of the ring.

Match Result: Moose defeated Sami Callihan

The System (JDC, Eddie Edwards & Brian Myers) vs. Order 4 (Mustafa Ali, Jason Hotch & John Skyler)

Moose says now that the fat turd has left his ring, it’s time to introduce the greatest faction in all of wrestling — The System. With that said, The System theme song hits and out comes JDC, Eddie Edwards and Brian Myers.

They punk Callihan as he heads to the back and they head to the ring. The show heads to a commercial break, with The System vs. Order 4 coming up next. When the show returns, the theme for Mustafa Ali hits and out he comes.

Accompanying Ali are the rest of the Order 4 faction — The Great Hands duo of John Skyler and Jason Hotch, as well as Tasha Steelz. As they are heading to the ring, the strobe light hits and we hear the familiar music of WWE NXT faction Darkstate.

Darkstate hits the ring and attacks The System members in revenge from this past Tuesday night’s post-WWE NXT: The Great American Bash episode of WWE NXT on The CW Network. They beat down The System and leave, as Ali smiles and heads to the back with Order 4.

Match Result: No Contest

Gia Miller Interviews Dani Luna

Backstage, Gia Miller is standing by with Dani Luna. She asks her about her foray into singles competition in the TNA Knockouts division. She says she knows who she is and she feels she has everything needed to rule the Knockouts division.

She says Tessa Blanchard is simply someone in her way. The former Spitfire member walks off as the show heads into another commercial break. Luna vs. Blanchard will be in one-on-one action when the show returns.

Tessa Blanchard (w/Victoria Crawford) vs. Dani Luna

When the show returns, the lights in the Impact Zone go down. We hear the familiar sounds of the catchy-ass entrance tune for Tessa Blanchard. Blanchard makes her way to the ring accompanied by Victoria Crawford, as Hannifan plugs Blanchard vs. Indi Hartwell at TNA Slammiversary.

Her music dies down and the theme music for Dani Luna hits. Out comes the former green-haired member of Spitfire to continue her journey as a singles star in the expanding TNA Knockouts division. The bell sounds to get things started.

Early on, Luna snatches up a side headlock on Blanchard and takes her to the mat. Blanchard begins taking over on offense after Luna takes a bad bump on the back of her head. From there, Blanchard enjoys the next several minutes in the offensive lead.

Things remain this way until Luna hits a counter late in the match, effectively connecting with a slingshot Blue Thunder Bomb for a two-count. Luna looks for a Luna-Landing after that, however Crawford hops on the apron and gets involved, leading to Blanchard hitting her finisher for the pin.

Following the victory, Blanchard is joined by Crawford in the ring. The two begin a post-match attack of Luna. This continues until Indi Hartwell’s theme hits and she runs them off. Hartwell gets on the microphone.

Hartwell mentions Tessa has turned her back on every friend she’s ever had. She says, “You haven’t known me for six years, but at Slammiversary, you’re gonna get to know me …b*tch!” That’s how the quick post-match scene wraps up.

Match Result: Tessa Blanchard defeated Dani Luna

The IInspiration Address The Elegance Brand

Footage is shown from three weeks ago of The Elegance Brand making a scene at an autograph signing that The IInspiration were having, leading to a massive pull-apart brawl. After it wraps up, The IInspiration are shown backstage.

They say the difference between them and The Elegance Brand is they don’t have all of the same insecurities as them. They vow to beat them to become the new TNA Knockouts Tag-Team Champions at this Sunday’s TNA Slammiversary pay-per-view. The show heads to another break.

The Elegance Brand Confronted By Fatal Influence

When the show returns, The Elegance Brand make their way out. Ash By Elegance, Heather By Elegance, M By Elegance and George Iceman settle inside the squared circle. Ash gets on the microphone and rants about the money fans cost her by submitting footage of her autograph signing brawl.

Ash then goes on to complain about being one-half of the TNA Knockouts Tag-Team Champions and the No. 1 Contender to the TNA Knockouts Championship, yet all she hears about is Jacy Jane and Masha Slamovich. She calls The Elegance Brand the most dominant female faction in pro wrestling.

As soon as she says that, the theme for WWE NXT female faction Fatal Influence hits. Out comes NXT Women’s Champion Jacy Jane, accompanied by Fallon Henley and Jazmyn Nyx. Jane says she was fine with everything Ash said until she claimed to have the most dominant female faction.

Masha Slamovich Confronts Jacy Jane Ahead Of TNA Slammiversary

As Jane and Ash continue to air out their issues, they are interrupted by the familiar sounds of the theme music for TNA Knockouts World Champion Masha Slamovich. As she makes her way out, Ash gets on the mic again and says this drama has nothing to do with her.

Because of that fact, she’s not interested in it. With that said, The Elegance Brand head to the back, with Ash getting punked out by Slamovich as the Knockouts Champion makes her way into the ring. She gets in Jane’s face.

Slamovich tells her she thinks the idea of a champion is perfection. She looks in the mirror and wants to see perfection, whereas Slamovich looks in the mirror and sees the scars that made her the champion she is today.

She wears them proudly. She will be damned if she’s going into her hometown of Chicago this Sunday and letting an outsider take her title from her. The two finish the segment posing face-to-face with their respective titles held high in the air.

Jody Threat Checks On Dani Luna

Backstage, we see Dani Luna being checked on in the doctor’s room, as Indi Hartwell is by her side. In comes Luna’s former Spitfire tag-team partner, Jody Threat, acting on old familiar instincts. In panic-fashion, Threat asks Luna what’s wrong and if she’s okay. We head to another break.

Judas Icarus (w/Travis Williams & Eric Young) vs. Hometown Man

The show returns to footage of Joe Hendry and Mike Santana from their recent WWE NXT appearances. We then see a vignette showing Mike Santana working out as audio of an old voicemail his late father sent him years ago.

Back inside the Impact Zone, the theme for The Northern Armory hits. Out comes Judas Icarus for scheduled singles action. He heads to the ring accompanied by his tag-team partner Travis Williams, and Northern Armory leader Eric Young.

The theme for his opponent plays to bring out the “mysterious” Hometown Man. The crowd loves the Hometown Man, as they should, as he is there hometown man. The bell sounds to get things officially off-and-running.

The Hometown Man fares well straight out of the gate, however after some interference and distractions from Williams at ringside, Icarus begins to shift the offensive momentum into his favor. Williams tries taking Hometown Man’s mask off during interference moments later.

After another minute or so, Hometown Man takes over on offense again. He hits a big high spot from the ring to the floor on Icarus. Back inside the ring, Hometown Man finishes things off with a pinfall. After the match, he avoids an attempted attack by Williams and Young.

Match Result: Hometown Man defeated Judas Icarus

nZo Is Coming To TNA Slammiversary …And He’s Not Coming Alone

After the Hometown Man and Judas Icarus bout wraps up, we cut to the second black-and-white “Paid For By Fourth Rope” nWo-style nZo vignette. nZo sings ‘Muffin Man’ and says if he wanted in with TNA Wrestling, he’d go to the boss man.

He says the only boss man named Tony he knows is Tony Soprano. nZo says either way he’s showing up to TNA Slammiversary. He says he’s not coming alone. He’ll bring a crew, starting with Zilla Fatu. He knows Bishop as well.

The security are more likely to help him if he jumps a guard rail. He says he ain’t afraid to tap somebody out. The show heads to another commercial break. Matt Cardona will be in action in the next match of the evening when the show returns.

Steve Maclin Issues Open Challenge

Steve Maclin is shown backstage with a special message when the show returns. He talks about being the reigning TNA International Champion and how he wants to live up to the name.

“Bulletproof” Maclin makes it clear that he “is willing to face anyone from any company internationally” and represent TNA in a title defense.

The System Help Matt Cardona With Darkstate

Matt Cardona’s theme hits as the show returns inside the Impact Zone. “Alwayz Ready” makes his way out and settles inside the squared circle. He brings up being attacked by Darkstate last week. He says he knows they’re in the building.

Cardona challenges them to come out. He says he’ll prove how he lives up to the “Alwayz Ready” moniker. Instead, the bell sounds and Cardona gets ready for scheduled singles action. Already in the ring is his opponent, Jake Painter.

As soon as they get close and get ready to start the match, the lights in the Impact Zone go out. Darkstate arrives for the second time tonight to ruin advertised action. This time, however, Brian Myers runs out to help his longtime friend Cardona.

The numbers disadvantage becomes too much, however other System members come out with weapons and run off the dominant NXT faction. The two teams end up in a standoff, with Cardona and The System standing in the ring staring them down. The show heads to another commercial break.

The Hardys: Win At TNA Slammiversary Or Go Home For Good?

The show returns to the iconic sounds of The Hardys. Matt Hardy and Jeff Hardy make their way out and settle inside the squared circle. Matt gets on the microphone and talks about how they promised themselves a long time ago that they would leave when they weren’t able to be the best.

Hardy says if he’s being honest with himself, he feels they might be slipping as of late. Jeff Hardy says Matt is right, bringing up how he lost recently to AJ Francis. Matt sarcastically thanks him for reminding him of that.

Matt Hardy says with that in mind, maybe if they don’t win in the four-way ladder match for the TNA World Tag-Team Championships at TNA Slammiversary this Sunday, they should hang ’em up and go home for good.

Fans chant “You still got it!” at The Hardys. Leon Slater’s theme hits and out he comes. He tells them the last few months with them have been the greatest moments of his career. He says they can’t be done yet. First Class duo AJ Francis and KC Navarro come out.

Francis mocks The Hardys. Matt tells Leon he needs to focus on his goal of becoming the youngest TNA X-Division Champion this Sunday and let them handle their own matters. Francis taunts Slater, telling him to leave. He does. The Nemeths theme hits.

Reigning TNA World Tag-Team Champions Nic Nemeth and Ryan Nemeth come out. They taunt The Hardys as well. Fans break out in an anti-Nemeth chant, to which even Francis chimes in and says he agrees. The Rascalz finally come out and all four teams brawl with ladders. The show heads to another break.

Trick Williams & Frankie Kazarian vs. Joe Hendry & Mike Santana

It’s main event time!

When the show returns, the theme for Frankie Kazarian hits and the self-proclaimed “King of TNA” makes his way out and heads to the ring for the final match of the show. His partner, WWE NXT Superstar and current TNA World Champion Trick Williams comes out next.

The viral smash hit, “I Believe in Joe Hendry” hits next, and the crowd erupts and begins singing along as Joe Hendry makes his way out as the first of their opponents. His partner, Mike Santana, makes his custom entrance through the crowd next.

As soon as the bell sounds to get things officially off-and-running in this tag-team headliner and preview of TNA Slammiversary 2025, we see Hendry and Santana having trouble deciding which of them will start things off for their team.

As the two try and decide, TNA World Champion Trick Williams decides for them, as he charges across the ring and begins a sneak attack, taking it to Hendry. The show heads into a quick mid-match commercial break as things continue.

The show returns to Santana in the ring now on the defensive, as Kazarian and Williams utilize frequent tags to keep a fresh man on Santana at all times, and keep him as far away from his corner of the ring as possible.

Santana eventually fights back and buys himself enough time to make the much-needed tag. Hendry comes in off the hot tag and immediately shifts the offensive momentum in the match, taking it to Kazarian.

Hendry hits Kazarian with a big Fall-Away Slam. Williams hits the ring and Hendry hoists the big man up as well and does the same. He gets close to his corner as he nears the finish, only to stop and pose right in Santana’s face.

Santana tags himself in. Hendry didn’t like that. Santana hits a Rolling Buck-50 and Spin the Block and picks up the win for his team. Afterwards, Hendry and Santana argue. As they do, Trick Williams enters the picture and raises the TNA World Championship.

AJ Styles Coming To TNA Slammiversary?

It appears the show is coming to a close, with Tom Hannifan wrapping things up on commentary with the last image seemingly being TNA World Champion Trick Williams posing with the title in the ring next to his challengers, Joe Hendry and Mike Santana.

But then it happened.

Just before the show came to a close, a brief vignette played. In a dark looking boiler-room type of area, a special TNA box is shown. In Pulp Fiction glowing-briefcase fashion, the box opens and light shines out of it as footage of AJ Styles is shown.

The camera zooms inside the box, showing AJ Styles “Phenomenal’ ring gear. The logo for TNA Slammiversary flashes on the screen. That is how the TNA Slammiversary “go-home” episode of TNA Impact goes off the air.

WWE NXT live results: The fallout from Great American Bash

The fallout from Great American Bash takes place on WWE NXT tonight — and the episode will also help set the stage for TNA Slammiversary.

At Sunday’s TNA pay-per-view, Trick Williams is defending his TNA World Championship against Joe Hendry and Mike Santana in a triple threat match. But those three will be teammates tonight when they take on DarkState in a six-man tag. The bout comes after DarkState left Hendry and Santana laying at Great American Bash. Williams claimed that he had nothing to do with his upcoming challengers being attacked.

Jordynne Grace & Blake Monroe defeated Jacy Jayne & Fallon Henley in the Great American Bash main event. The partnership between Grace & Monroe didn’t last long, though, with Monroe betraying Grace the next night at WWE Evolution. The turn helped cost Grace her NXT Women’s Championship challenge against Jayne, who now has a winner-take-all match against TNA Knockouts Champion Masha Slamovich at Slammiversary.

An appearance by Jayne will kick off tonight’s show.

The D’Angelo Family implosion continues as Tony D’Angelo, Stacks, and Luca Crusifino look to settle business in a triple threat match.

Plus, Evolve Women’s Champion Kali Armstrong defends against Karmen Petrovic.

Join us for live coverage starting at 8 p.m. Eastern time.

**********

The show is on the air from a sound stage at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando in front of a live studio audience.

A recap of The Great American Bash catches up viewers on the happenings at the PLE last Saturday. Opening the show from the sound stage is the entrance of the trio known as Fatal Influence. NXT Women’s Champion Jacy Jayne is flanked by Fallon Henley and Jazmyn Nyz.

NXT Women’s Champ Jacy Jayne addresses the audience

Jayne first apologizes for her raspy voice, and she blames it on Jordynne Grace hitting her in the throat over the weekend. Jayne goes on to address the “elephant in the room,” which is her not doing well at The Bash.

Jayne blames her partners, and she especially casts blame on Nyz. Jayne says Nyz did her best, but her best is not good enough next to someone like Jayne herself. Luckily for Nyz and Henley, Jayne says they redeemed themselves at Evolution, where Jayne shocked the crowd again by winning.

Henley chimes in to put over Jayne. Henley says Jayne will be champion for a long time to come. Jayne also says she will do what no person has done before, like this Sunday when she goes one-on-one with the TNA Knockouts Champion Masha Slamovich. Jayne insults Slamovich until Slamovich interrupts the in-ring promo.

Slamovich gets in the ring to confront Jayne and Fatal Influence. Slamovich’s microphone was not working well, so Henley gave her a microphone. Slamovich says the only reason the interference of Blake Monros is the only reason Jayne retained her title at Evolution. Slamovich vows to be the first TNA wrestler to hold the NXT Women’s Championship.

Jayne scoffs and starts cutting a promo on Slamovich when Jayne is interrupted by the entrance of NXT Women’s North American Champion Sol Ruca and Zaria. Ruca cuts a promo on Jayne, and Ruca says her money is on Slamovich. Zaria adds that Ruca was the MVP of this weekend. Okay, sure.

Zaria and Ruca get in the ring to confront Fatal Influence. Nyx gets to cut a promo. Soon thereafter, a brawl erupts. The babyfaces clear the ring of the heel trio. This sets up a six-women tag team match, which is officially announced after a commercial break.

— Tony D’Angelo is the focus of a video package that recaps The Family’s history in NXT. The title of part one is “Birth of the Don.” More to come later in the show as they hype the “family business” triple threat match for later tonight.

TNA World Champion Trick Williams, Joe Hendry & Mike Santana vs. Darkstate (Dion Lennox, Osiris Griffin, & Saquon Shugars with Cutler James)

During the entrance of Darkstate, Santana leaps over the ropes with a tope con hilo. Besides getting knocked down before the bell, Darkstate has lost almost all of their mystique. They are just another faction in NXT at this point.

The tag bout goes through a commercial break with a heat spot. The heel faction works over Santana. When the show returns from the break, Hendry cleans house after a hot tag.

Darkstate are all thrown out of the ring. Santana and Hendry then deck Trick when she starts cutting a promo on them. Santana and Hendry then do stereo dives outside the ring.

Suddenly, TNA faction known as The System run in to brawl with Darkstate, Hendry and Santana join in as the referee calls for the bell. No official word on the actual result, so I’m guessing a no contest.

Match Result: No finish after outside interference

— A skit in the locker room sets up a match between Karmen Petrovic and WWE Evolve Champion Kali Armstrong. Arianna Grace is also involved in the skit.

— Jordynne Grace arrives to the building, and Vic Joseph on commentary says she “looks pissed.”

— Part two of the Tony D’Angleo saga is titled “Enter the Underboss”.

WWE Evolve Champion Kali Armstrong vs. Karmen Petrovic

Shortly after the match starts, Jordynne Grace runs down to ringside and trips Armstrong. Grace gets into the ring and suplexes Petrovic. Grace calls out Blake Monroe, and Grace demands that Monroe immediately come to the ring.

Match result: No contest when Jordynne Grace runs in

Out comes Stevie Turner and Robert Stone, who are presumably acting under the authority of Ava. Turner and Stone argue with Garce until a video package starts playing, which tells the story of Monroe turning on Grace. The video includes a narration that seems like a ripoff of Toni Storm’s current gimmick. In this particular video, Monroe is a bathtub. She invites everyone to her NXT debut next week.

Grace goes berserk in the ring when she attacks Stone and Turner. Grace clotheslines Turner and gives Stone a spinebuster. Security comes out trying to wrangle Grace.

— Team Undertaker from LFG are talking backstage when in walks Trick Williams. He yells at them to move out of his way. Williams bullies them and leaves. Not sure what this skit accomplishes, but Team Undertaker gets a call from The Undertaker himself as the show cuts to a commercial break.

— NXT General Manager Ava talks with Jasper Troy about him attacking people. If he wants to prove himself in NXT, Ava says to do it in matches she approves for him. Troy defends himself by saying Saints entered his territory. Ava says this is NXT, where they settle things in the ring. (Sure Ava, of course they do considering this show begins with two matches that ends in a no contest due to run-ins.) Ava books a match for next week with Troy against Saints next Tuesday in Houston.

— “Rise & Fall of the Family” is the title of for part three of the D’Angelo Family saga. This hypes the triple threat that is up next on NXT.

— Kelly Kincaid interviews Lash Legend, who brags about being one of the last two remaining in a battle royal at Evolution. She was thrown out by Stephanie Vaquer, but Legend still brags on herself in this interview. Jaida Parker interrupts her to brag about her performance in the battle royal. Both Legend and Parker vow to confront the women’s champion in Houston.

Tony D’Angelo vs. Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo vs. Luca Crusifino in a “family business” triple threat match

D’Angelo turns his back to both of his opponents after the opening bell, lulling Stacks into an attack. “The Don” fights off both Stacks and Crusifino. Stacks goes to retrieve a hidden crowbar, only to discover that D’Angelo found and disposed of the weapon.

The fight eventually spills outside. D’Angelo and Crusifino are fighting on the apron when Stacks knocks them off the ring apron. From there, the match goes through a split-screen commercial break. The triple threat continues after the show returns from the break.

In a big high spot, “The Don” with a hip toss sends Stacks into a flip dive over the ropes. Crusifino catches him on the floor. Stacks retrieves a crowbar, and D’Angelo blocks it only to for Stacks to send him crashing in the steps.

They do some clever triple threat spots that includes a double German suplex. The also do a Tower of Doom spot where Crusifino powerbombs D’Angelo while Stacks takes a superplex.

Crusifino gets his time to shine, and he gets a near fall on Stacks. Crusifino grabs the crowbar, but Stacks posts him and takes the crowbar. Just as Stacks is about use the crowbar as a weapon, D’Angelo strikes out of nowhere with a spear. D’Angelo spears Stacks through a gimmicked section of the wall in a stunt. Stacks then comically shoots out of the hole like a bullet after presumably being launched by D’Angelo.

D’Angelo gives Crusifino a spinebuster on the announce desk, and D’Angelo roll into the ring to give Stacks a spinebuster. D’Angelo then covers Stacks for a three count.

Match result: Tony D’Angelo wins via pinfall

— Wren Sinclair defends her throwing in the towel for Tavion Heights last week. Up walks Charlie Dempsey to gloat. Sinclair reveals she is booked in a match next week against Blake Monroe. The match is in Sinclair’s home state of Texas, but I do not like her chances for winning against a debuting Monroe.

— Josh Briggs is heading to the ring for a monologue.

NXT Champion Oba Femi confronts Josh Briggs

Briggs begins with an in-ring promo where he bemoans no getting a NXT title shot. Briggs mentions his pal Inamura getting a shot, but Briggs has yet to get his own title match.

Out comes Oba Femi to confront Briggs. Femi says Briggs’ presence in Femi’s title defense against Inamura raises some doubts. Yet, Femi insists “The Ruler” would have always won. But now people are questioning the validity of Femi’s win because of Brigg’s involvement. Femi says Briggs ruined the match.

When Femi accuses Briggs of being jealous of Inamura, Briggs snaps back by cutting a promo on Femi. Briggs says Femi might know Inamura as a man of honor, but Briggs is not.

Inamura comes through the crowd with a microphone in hand. Inamura gets into the ring while saying Briggs does not speak for him. Briggs and Femi bicker some more. Femi says Inamura deserves a rematch, but scoffs at the idea of Briggs getting a shot.

Inamura stops Briggs to say he will do what it takes to win, but Inamura will do so with honor. Briggs suggests a triple threat match for the NXT title next week in Houston. Femi asks if that is really what Briggs wants, and Briggs jumps Femi. A brawl erupts in the ring, where Briggs inadvertently elbows Inamura. When officials and referees pour out, they must separate Briggs and Inamura. Looks like a triple threat title match is set for next Tuesday.

— NXT North American Champion Ethan Page is the focus of a video package where he brags about retaining the title against Ricky Saints at The Bash.

— Kelly Kincaid interviews Saints, and Saints cuts a promo on Jasper Troy ahead of their match next week in Houston.

— On social media, Undertaker confirms an appearance next Tuesday on NXT.

NXT Women’s North American Champion Sol Ruca, Zaria & TNA Knockouts Champion Masha Slamovich vs. Fatal Influence (NXT Women’s Champion Jacy Jayne, Fallon Henley & Jazmyn Nyz)

For some reason, Lexis King is watching the match in the stands with the live studio audience. He is also wearing headphones. Ava takes exception to this, so she confronts him in the middle of this match. Ava rips off the headphones and yells at him.

Meanwhile, Sol Ruca was shinning in the match. The heel trios works together to underhandedly gain the upper hand on Ruca. Fatal Influence are in control as the show cuts to a picture-in-picture commercial break.

Hot tag and Zaria is a house of fire. Zaria is soon cut off, but she makes a quick comeback. Slamovich tags in and cleans house. Slamovich is also cut off by the heel trio.

Out comes The Culling with Izzi Dame and Tatum Paxley. In the ensuing commotion at ringside, Ruca knocks down Paxley, and Zaria does a running senton off the apron on Dame. Ruca is yelling at Shawn Spears and Niko Vance at ringside. NXT Tag Team Champions Hank and Tank run down to fight with Spears and Vance. Meanwhile, Ruca and Zaria brawl with Dame and Paxley. The leaves Slamovich at a disadvantage, as the heels have a three-on-one advantage. That does not stop Slamovich.

Slamovich is holding her own, and she delivers a brainbuster on Jayne. Slamovich then covers Jayne for a three count.

Match result: Slamovich, Ruca & Zaria win when Slamovich pinned Jayne

BVV: TNA Impact review with build for Slammiversary

Just ten days out from their biggest show of the summer, TNA Impact was focused on building the big matches from Slammiversary. That focus included a Mike Santana video package, a Joe Hendry sitdown interview, and Trick Williams doing commentary for the main event, where he once again stole the show.

Elsewhere, the Elegance Brand face Harley Hudson & Myla Grace; the plot surrounding Cedric Alexander, Mustafa Ali, and Order 4 thickens; Masha Slamovich teams with Lei Ying Lee to face Jacy Jayne & Fallon Henley from NXT; Steve Maclin defends the International title against Mance Warner and Jake Something in a three-way match; Victoria Crawford battles Indi Hartwell in the worst match I’ve seen in months; and the Nemeth Brothers team with Fir$t Cla$$ against the Hardys and the Rascalz in the main event.

We’ll discuss all on the latest Big Vinny V Show!

Trick Williams teaming with Joe Hendry & Mike Santana on WWE NXT

Before their TNA World Championship match at Slammiversary, Trick Williams, Joe Hendry & Mike Santana will need to get on the same page for a six-man tag match on WWE NXT.

Williams, Hendry & Santana are set to face three members of DarkState on NXT this Tuesday night. The match was made as the result of an angle that went down this afternoon at Great American Bash, which saw DarkState (Dion Lennox, Cutler James, Saquon Shugars & Osiris Griffin) attack Hendry and Santana and leave them laying.

A contract signing took place today to make Williams vs. Hendry vs. Santana official for the July 20 TNA Slammiversary pay-per-view. Despite whatever differences they may have with each other, Hendry and Santana vowed that one of them will win at Slammiversary and bring the TNA World Championship back where it belongs. They ended the contract signing by putting Williams through a table.

Hendry and Santana didn’t get to stand tall for long, though, as they were soon ambushed by DarkState.

Williams was not attacked by DarkState, but he denied having any association with the group. NXT General Manager Ava said that, if that’s the case, Williams won’t have any problem teaming with Hendry & Santana to take them on.

There have now been two matches confirmed for Tuesday’s Great American Bash fallout edition of NXT:

WWE NXT (Tuesday, July 15) —

  • Six-man tag match: Trick Williams, Joe Hendry & Mike Santana vs. DarkState
  • Triple threat match: Tony D’Angelo vs. Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo vs. Luca Crusifino

BVV: Twice the Impact on the road to TNA Slammiversary

It’s two, two, two reviews for the price of one on the Big Vinny V Show with Vince Verhei.

I cover two weeks of TNA Impact TV covering the build to Slammiversary, one of the company’s biggest shows of the year.

I start with the June 19th show which had a lot of bad wrestling capped off by a good main event — a Champions Challenge 10-man tag — with a mind-boggling finish.

Then, I jump into the June 26th episode where several Slammiversary matches were announced, a great build for Leon Slater and Mike Santana, and a not-so-great build for Joe Hendry and Ash by Elegance.

The common theme between both episodes: Trick Williams is the absolute man.

I’ll discuss that and more on an all-new Big Vinny V Show!

Mike Santana added to TNA Slammiversary World title match

Mike Santana has been granted his request and added to the World title match at TNA Slammiversary.

After a segment on last week’s Impact where he demanded to be added to the Trick Williams vs. Joe Hendry World title bout set for the July 20 Slammiversary pay-per-view, TNA announced Monday night that director of authority Santino Marella had granted his request. The TNA World title match at Slammiversary will now have Williams defending against Hendry and Santana in a three-way.

Santana responded to the announcement with a social media post on X:

“I’ve worked my entire adult life for opportunities like this… FIRST EVER PUERTO RICAN TNA WORLD CHAMPION sounds pretty badass to me!!!”

The updated Slammiversary lineup so far:

TNA Slammiversary, Sunday, July 20 —

  • TNA World Champion Trick Williams defends against Joe Hendry and Mike Santana in a three-way

  • TNA X-Division Champion Moose defends against Leon Slater

TNA Impact live results: Mike Santana vs. AJ Francis street fight

The road to Slammiversary truly begins on tonight’s TNA Impact, headlined by Mike Santana against AJ Francis in a street fight.

Santana is looking to gain revenge for Francis and KC Navarro screwing him out of his recent opportunity against TNA World Champion Trick Williams.

Former TNA Tag Team Champions The Hardys will take on Judas Icarus and Travis Williams of The Northern Armory.

The next top contender for Masha Slamovich’s Knockouts title will be crowned in a battle royal.

In a Call to Arms match of which the rules are unknown, The Order’s Mustafa Ali and John Skyler will go one-on-one.

In a singles bout, Nic Nemeth will take on The Rascalz’s Zachary Wentz while TNA X-Division Champion Moose will be in action.

**********
A recap package shows highlights of last week’s show, and then the usual show-starting “Cross the Line” intro video and theme song plays.

Joe Hendry Kicks Things Off

Inside the Impact Zone, Tom Hannifan and Matthew Rehwoldt welcome us to the show. Joe Hendry’s theme hits and out he comes to kick off the show. Hannifan mentions Hendry’s appearance on WWE NXT this past Tuesday night.

He confirms Hendry vs. Trick Williams for the TNA World Championship at TNA Slammiversary 2025. A loud “We Believe! We Believe!” chant breaks out. “Say his name and he appears! Joe Hendry is here in Pittsburgh!” Hendry begins.

Hendry says before he starts he wants to thank the fans. He then brings up how the TNA World Championship is held by an outsider in Trick Williams. He says it belongs to each and every one of the fans. He talks about his long journey to TNA and finally getting a big break.

Hendry says the fans made him be in a position to main event TNA Slammiversary, to challenge for the TNA World Championship at TNA Bound For Glory, and to face a legend like Randy Orton at WrestleMania.

He asks the fans to do him a favor. He asks if they can. They cheer and say yes. He says they were there for his rise, and now he wants…no, he needs, the fans to be there for his redemption. He vows to bring the TNA World Championship back to TNA at TNA Slammiversary. His theme hits to end the segment.

Killer Kelly Makes A Promise

Backstage, Killer Kelly is shown talking directly into the camera. She brings up her past in MK Ultra with reigning TNA Knockouts Champion Masha Slamovich. She vows to show who the real monster is.

She guarantees victory against the champion next week. She gives her thoughts on tonight’s TNA Knockouts No. 1 Contender Battle Royal. We head to a break.

Zachary Wentz (w/ Trey Miguel) vs. Ryan Nemeth (w/ Nic Nemeth)

When the show returns, we hear the spray-paint cans as the lights dim inside the Impact Zone. Out comes The Rascalz duo of Zachary Wentz and Trey Miguel. They head to the ring, where Wentz is scheduled for singles action, as Hannifan promotes the four-way ladder match for the tag titles at TNA Slammiversary.

After he settles in the ring, his music dies down and the entrance tune for The Nemeths plays. Out comes “The Hollywood Hunk” Ryan Nemeth accompanied by Nic Nemeth. Ryan is in the ring and ready to rock and roll, and the bell sounds to get things started.

They locked up to start, with Ryan Nemeth taking control by grabbing Zachary Wentz’s arm. Wentz rolled and flipped out of the hold, finishing with an arm drag. He followed up with a dropkick and then charged at Nemeth in the corner.

Nemeth dodged, but Wentz caught him with a kick and connected with a springboard crossbody for a two count. Wentz went for a handspring move, but Ryan distracted the referee while Nic Nemeth tripped Wentz, sending him crashing to the floor.

Ryan rolled him back into the ring and delivered a neckbreaker for another two count. Nemeth followed up with a flurry of elbows before locking in a chinlock. Wentz battled out, but Nemeth cut him off with a knee to the midsection and whipped him into the corner.

Nemeth charged, but Wentz moved, causing Nemeth to hit the turnbuckle. When Nemeth charged again, Wentz met him with a kick. Wentz delivered a chop, but Ryan countered with an attempt at another neck-breaker.

Wentz reversed it into a backslide for a two count. He then hit a pair of tackles, followed by a stiff chop, a handspring knee, and a running knee. Wentz snap-mared Nemeth and landed a penalty kick, then followed with a running shooting star press for another two count.

Wentz climbed to the top rope, but Nemeth rushed in and shook the rope, crotching him. Nemeth capitalized with a leaping DDT for a near-fall. Nic then tried to slide one of the TNA World Tag Team Title belts to Ryan, but the referee intercepted it.

During the confusion, Wentz hit a jumping knee, then climbed back to the top rope and connected with a Spiral Tap to score the victory. After the match, things almost got going again between both teams, but ended in a stand-off.

Match Result: Zachary Wentz defeated Ryan Nemeth

Gia Miller Interviews Trick Williams

It is announced that Joe Hendry will go one-on-one against Wes Lee on WWE NXT next Tuesday night. The show then shoots backstage, where Gia Miller asks Trick Williams if he’s ready for his title defense against Hendry at TNA Slammiversary.

Trick asks Gia a question, only to cut her off and tell her it was a “Trick question.” He says he’s ready for the Irish boy at Slammiversary. “Let’s talk about it…” He then switches focus to AJ Francis and Mike Santana. He predicts Francis will kick Santana’s butt all the way back to the block.

TNA Knockouts Championship No. 1 Contender Battle Royal

Inside the Impact Zone, the ring walks begin for the TNA Knockouts Championship No. 1 Contender Battle Royal. The show heads to a break. When the show returns, Gia Miller is backstage with Masha Slamovich.

Slamovich says she doesn’t need mind games with Killer Kelly. She challenges her to a chain match for their title tilt on next week’s show. In runs an excited Arianna Grace, who tells her she’s working on something big but can’t say what it is yet.

Back inside the arena, the ring is filled up with all of the Knockouts contenders. The bell sounds and the Knockouts Championship No. 1 Contender battle royal gets underway. The IInspiration and The Elegance Brand are eliminated almost immediately. They continue to brawl afterwards.

Jody Threat immediately targeted Alisha Edwards from there. Katie Arquette was next to be eliminated after Threat nailed her with a Pop Shove It. Jayda Stone was also tossed out shortly after. Tasha Steelz focused her attention on Indi Hartwell, while Xia Brookside nearly eliminated Rosemary, who managed to hold on.

Harley Hudson and Myla Grace double-teamed Dani Luna until Threat stepped in to help. Despite the assist, Luna was eliminated by Grace moments later. Brookside and Victoria Crawford squared off briefly, but Crawford managed to save herself by standing on Rosemary to avoid elimination.

Indi Hartwell eliminated Mila Moore, while Hudson punished Tessa Blanchard in the corner. Lei Ying Lee worked over Threat, who tried to toss her, but Lee reversed the momentum and eliminated Threat instead. Lee and Hartwell then battled in the corner.

Meanwhile, Edwards targeted Grace until Brookside pulled Edwards away and they exchanged strikes. Crawford went after Hartwell but was repelled. Edwards delivered a hard chop to Brookside, then ducked a shot from Hartwell and dropped her in the corner. Brookside quickly jumped back on Edwards.

Rosemary went after Hudson and Grace, but the duo fought her off and eliminated her. Steelz and Edwards then worked together to eliminate both Hudson and Grace. Hartwell, Brookside, and Lee each took turns attacking Edwards until Steelz ultimately eliminated her.

Blanchard saved Crawford from elimination before turning her focus to Brookside. Brookside fended her off and even saved Lee from an attack by Crawford. Brookside pushed Crawford onto the apron, and Lee followed up with a kick that sent Crawford to the floor.

Steelz rocked Lee with a superkick, then exchanged strikes with Brookside. Brookside charged, but Steelz lifted her onto the apron and eliminated her. Lee quickly capitalized by eliminating Steelz. Moments later, Blanchard eliminated Lee.

That left Blanchard and Hartwell as the final two. Hartwell blocked Blanchard’s punches and fired back with strikes of her own. She went for a big boot, but Blanchard dodged, causing Hartwell to end up on the apron.

Blanchard slammed her head into the turnbuckle, but Hartwell fought back. Blanchard charged, but Hartwell countered, sending Blanchard over the top and onto the apron as well. As the two traded blows on the apron, Ash by Elegance suddenly appeared from the opposite side of the ring.

Having never been eliminated, she charged at both Hartwell and Blanchard, knocking them off the apron and to the floor to win the match. We see replays from the start, and while The IInspiration and Elegance Brand both seemed to be eliminated, Ash actually went under the ropes.

Match Result: Ash By Elegance wins to earn shot at TNA Knockouts Championship

Jacy Jane Appears In The Impact Zone

Once the match wraps up, as Ash By Elegance is celebrating in the ring with George Iceman, reigning TNA Knockouts Champion Masha Slamovich comes out and stares down Ash.

NXT Women’s Champion Jacy Jane’s theme hits and she comes out as well. All three stare each other down to end the post-match scene.

Jake Something Puts Steve Maclin On Notice

Footage of Jake Something’s return last week is shown. Jake Something is then shown backstage. He spoke about being sidelined with an injury and feeling forgotten — except by one man: Tommy Dreamer.

Something expressed his respect for Dreamer, both as a man and as a mentor. He made it clear he wasn’t going to let Mance Warner’s attack on Dreamer slide.

He also revealed that his sights were set on the TNA International Championship, putting Steve Maclin on notice. Maclin then appeared and welcomed Something back.

He wished him luck in his upcoming match against Warner. Something replied that Maclin would be seeing him soon. Maclin nodded and said they certainly would.

TNA Injury Report

In the latest TNA Injury Report, Mike Santana had been cleared to return following a head injury. KC Navarro remained sidelined with a dislocated knee.

Elijah was also out of action due to a torn triceps. Back live, Hannifan and Rehwoldt are shown on camera to provide another update on Elijah, noting he has undergone successful surgery and is now on the road to recovery.

They say they wish he could’ve been here with them tonight. They run down action still to come and the show heads to a break.

Call To Arms Match
Mustafa Ali vs. John Skyler

The show returns and out comes Mustafa Ali accompanied by Tasha Steelz and The Great Hands. His opponent, John Skyler, and himself are taped to the ropes by Steelz per the unique match stipulations. Ali tries cutting himself free before they even start.

We then learn that the rules are that both competitors had one hand tied to the ropes, with the first to get untied gaining the advantage. The match could only be won by pin-fall or submission. Tasha Steelz tied up John Skyler, while Jason Hotch secured Mustafa Ali tightly.

Once the bell rang, Skyler immediately tried to free himself, but Ali pulled out a pair of scissors and quickly cut his rope. Ali wasted no time, hitting a running dropkick on Skyler and following up with stomps in the corner.

He choked Skyler with his boot until Skyler pushed him off and landed a back elbow. They traded chops before Skyler connected with a leaping knee. Ali charged at him in the corner but was lifted onto the apron. Ali yanked Skyler down by the hair and climbed to the top rope.

He leapt off, but Skyler dodged and then tossed him over the top rope to the floor. Hotch handed the scissors to Skyler, who cut himself free while Steelz discreetly hid the scissors. Ali re-entered the ring and hit a knee strike, but Skyler recovered quickly with a leg lariat.

Skyler charged the corner, but Ali slid out onto the apron. Ali attempted a rolling move, but Skyler countered into a DDT. Skyler climbed to the top rope, only for Ali to cut him off with a superkick on the apron. Ali hit the ropes, but Skyler countered with a slingshot spear for a near fall.

Ali slipped behind him and used the ropes to choke Skyler, then launched him hard into the corner. Ali climbed up and delivered a 450 Splash to secure the victory.

Match Result: Mustafa Ali defeated John Skyler

“PRIME” Cedric Alexander Arrives In TNA

Mustafa Ali went to the floor and grabbed a chair. Jason Hotch confronted him, urging him to put the chair down. Ali appeared to comply, tossing the chair aside—only to suddenly send Hotch crashing into the ring post.

Tasha Steelz stepped in, pleading with Ali to stop. Ali rolled Hotch into the ring and followed with the chair in hand. He raised it, ready to strike both Hotch and John Skyler, but Steelz stepped in front of them. Ali then lifted the chair as if to hit her—until the music of the debuting Cedric Alexander hit.

Alexander made his way to the ring and tried to talk Ali down off-mic. Ali dropped the chair and told Steelz to get up. He took her hand and tried to lead her out of the ring, but Alexander grabbed her other hand, halting Ali in his tracks.

Ali got in Alexander’s face, but The Great Hands stood up behind him, backing Alexander and Steelz. Seeing the numbers shift, Ali backed down and exited the ring. As he walked up the ramp, he stared Alexander down the entire way to the back.

The System And Moose Backstage

A recap aired showing the conclusion of last week’s tag team match featuring Matt Cardona and The Home Town Man taking on The System. After the match, Cardona and Brian Myers had a tense stare-down before The System launched a post-match assault on both The Home Town Man and Cardona.

Notably, Myers refrained from attacking Cardona during the beatdown. Once the video package wrapped up, the scene shifted backstage where The System was standing by. Moose addressed the camera, stating that Leon Slater would be in the biggest match of his career at Slammiversary.

For him? It’s just another Sunday. Matt Cardona then interrupted, demanding to know what The System’s problem was. Eddie Edwards responded, telling Cardona that he didn’t even work in TNA and that he’d have no issue beating the spray tan off him.

Edwards then declared he was going to speak with Santino Marella. The System walked off, with Myers being the last to leave after briefly locking eyes with Cardona. The show heads to another commercial break.

Joe Hendry to challenge for TNA World title at Slammiversary

Joe Hendry is getting another shot at the TNA Championship.

TNA announced on social media Friday that Hendry will challenge for the TNA Championship at Slammiversary, which takes place on July 20 at the UBS Arena.

However, during Friday’s TNA Impact taping that aired live for TNA+ subscribers, Mike Santana declared he wanted a shot at the title, wanting to challenge both men and walk out of his hometown the TNA World Champion. The triple threat has yet to be made official.

Hendry lost the title to Trick Williams in the main event of NXT Battleground back in May, putting the title in the hands of a WWE-contracted wrestler for the first time. Shortly after, Santana faced Williams in a TNA title match on an episode of NXT. He was unsuccessful thanks to interference from First Class, AJ Francis and KC Navarro. Santana defeated Francis at Friday’s tapings as a measure of revenge.

Since losing the title Hendry has been on a losing streak, failing to defeat Frankie Kazarian and coming up short in a four-way for the X Division title at AAA’s Triplemania Regia.
