Liv Morgan feared being fired from WWE following her 2023 arrest

A few years ago, in 2023, Liv Morgan was arrested in Florida for possession of marijuana and synthetic marijuana vape. Shortly after, her mugshots went viral, and Morgan became a talking point on the internet. Recently appearing on What’s Your Story? With Steph McMahon, Morgan reflected on the incident and revealed how she feared losing her WWE job following the arrest.

Right away, I’m like, ‘I am gonna get fired.’ I am so upset, ‘I’m gonna get fired. I spent my whole life being good. I get arrested one time, and it’s not even my fault (the possession of her friend’s synthetic marijuana vape in her car; a felony in Florida), even though it is. I am gonna get fired.'”

And the thing I thought the most was like, you know, the community work we do here. I love doing community work. I always get chosen to do the community work. I’ll not be able to do the community work,” Morgan continued. “I am like, ‘so sad, work’s gonna fire me, and I just ruined everything. I spent my whole life for this one goal, and now everything is squandered.’ I was so upset.

Morgan further revealed that she bailed herself out of the situation as she went on to narrate the rest of the incident.

I bailed myself out of jail, which is why I’m not in the orange [jumpsuit], because they were like, ‘Are you going to be bailed out?’ I was like, ‘Yes, I will be bailing myself out.’ Well, I mean, I had called my mom and was like, ‘Mom, if you can wire the money, let’s go. Get me out of here.’ Like this was my fund; I pretty much bailed myself out of jail.”

Liv Morgan reflects on John Cena spot: ‘I really kicked him’

Following an absence of several months and a shoulder injury, Liv Morgan made her shocking return at WWE Survivor Series: WarGames. There, she kicked John Cena in the groin and re-joined forces with Dominik Mysterio, helping him win the Intercontinental Championship. Recently, appearing on Stephanie McMahon’s What’s Your Story podcast, Morgan opened up about that night and the spot where she kicked Cena.

I really kicked him, too. I kicked him right in the wee wee. And this, too (hitting John Cena with the title belt), I just gave everything. I never kicked someone in the d**k before. I just was like bam! I went straight up. No, there was no discussion (on whether she had discussed the spot with Cena). I just knew the assignment. I had one job, it was kick John Cena in the d**k and hit him with the title.”

Morgan further opened up on her initial moments during the return and how the audience reacted to Morgan jumping into Cena’s arms.

Never in my life would I have thought that I would have a moment where I’m jumping into John Cena’s open arms, wrapping myself around him while I have a boyfriend,” Morgan continued. “That was so funny to me because everyone was like, ‘Okay, she turned on Dominik. Shocking, but okay, and she’s looking at John Cena weird.’”

This was the part where people weren’t understanding. They weren’t getting it. They were like, ‘What is she doing? Why is she smiling at him?’ And I jump into his arms, and they’re like, ‘What the…’ If you watch the online reactions, people are like, ‘What are they doing?’ And then the face dropped, and they’re like, ‘Oh, she’s gonna do it.’ My eyes dilated too.

Survivor Series: WarGames 2025 marked Cena’s final PLE before he retired at the December 13th edition of Saturday Night’s Main Event against Gunther.

Liv Morgan says WWE injury ‘really mentally messed with me’

Liv Morgan went through a difficult few months in 2025 as she was sidelined with a shoulder injury.

Morgan suffered a dislocated shoulder in June and spent five months away from WWE. Now back in action, she reflected on the injury while appearing on Stephanie McMahon’s “What’s Your Story?” podcast. The former Women’s World Champion noted that this was different than any other injury she’s dealt with because it made her question if everything really happens for a reason.

“I don’t know if it was, like, the initial devastation of the injury. When I tore my shoulder in 2022, I accepted it. It was my first injury. I was like, ‘Okay, I’ll come back from this.’ But this injury really, like, mentally messed with me,” Morgan said. “I believe everything happens for a reason — and I know that to be true. But this was the one time selfishly where I was like, ‘This didn’t happen for my greatest good. Like, this happened to f*ck me.’ You know? That’s what I really felt. And I struggled with that. Being someone that believes everything happens for a reason, I’m so delusional. Like, ‘This happened. Even if it seems terrible, I’m going to come back better on the other side.’ Like, believing in that but then suddenly not believing in that. I’m like, ‘What the f*ck do I believe in?’ What do I have to believe in if I don’t believe that everything’s going to be okay at the end of the day?”

Morgan said a conversation with fellow Judgment Day member Raquel Rodriguez helped her gain perspective, with Rodriguez saying that you’re supposed to show the most faith when your faith is tested.

“When she said that, I kind of was able to pick myself up a little bit more,” Morgan said. “I was feeling so sorry for myself and I just was so upset and so disappointed. And she said that, and that kind of took me out of it a little bit. Like, let me try to have more faith. And I also think, you know, just that five months by myself. Like, being in WWE since I was 20 years old and feeling like it [was] such a prevalent part of my life before then. Not being involved, it was hard for me.”

Because WWE meant so much to her growing up, Morgan does not view it like she would any other conventional job. WWE has always been a huge part of her identity. Having to spend time away forced her to be her real self instead of just being Liv Morgan. Through that experience and the heartbreak of her injury, Morgan feels like she became a softer person.

“I think sitting with myself those five months and just being Gionna Daddio and not Liv Morgan. I’m like, ‘Man, I’m such a p*ssy, I guess.’ I’m, like, such a sensitive little soft girl,” she said. “And I’m still trying to shake it off a little bit. But I don’t know, I think just being me for this extended period of time shifted a lot of my mindset as well. Like, I feel different. I don’t feel like I’m the same person that I was six months ago.”

Morgan made her return at Survivor Series 2025 by helping Dominik Mysterio win the Intercontinental title from John Cena. Her first televised match back was a victory over Lyra Valkyria on WWE Raw this week.

New women’s match added to WWE Raw lineup

Liv Morgan will make her televised in-ring return as part of this Monday’s highly-promoted WWE Raw on Netflix.

Announced during Friday’s SmackDown, Morgan will take on Lyra Valkyria — a match that was on three WWE live events over the past week.

Morgan was out of action since a June 16 Raw match against Kairi Sane when she injured her shoulder badly enough that she required surgery. She made her surprise return at last November’s Survivor Series, helping cost John Cena the Intercontinental title in his rematch with Dominik Mysterio.

Valkyria is looking for her first singles win on Raw since September.

This Monday’s Raw will celebrate their one year anniversary of debuting on Netflix and will also feature a tie-in with the recently wrapped Stranger Things show.

Current WWE Raw lineup | This Monday

  • WWE World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk defends against Bron Breakker
  • Liv Morgan vs. Lyra Valkyria
  • WWE Women’s Intercontinental Champion Maxxine Dupri defends against Becky Lynch
  • WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions The Kabuki Warriors (Asuka & Kairi Sane) defend against Rhea Ripley & IYO SKY

Liv Morgan, Big E, Braun Strowman guest star on Hell’s Kitchen

The January 1st, 2026 episode of Hell’s Kitchen on Fox, witnessed the competitors take part in the black jacket day edition of the show. However, before the chefs started their battle, they were greeted by WWE superstars Liv Morgan, Big E, and former WWE star Braun Strowman.

In a small snippet released by Hell’s Kitchen judge Gordon Ramsay on his social media, fans witnessed Big E talk about being a WWE Champion, before Morgan made her way to the set and shared her mindset on being a champion. Things soon turned more interesting when Braun Strowman made his way by bursting through a dry wall.

Interestingly, both Ramsay and the Fox network introduced Morgan as a champion. Morgan was even pictured with the title, which made it clear that the content was shot while she was still the WWE Women’s World Champion and Strowman was with the company.

Morgan is a former champion and lost the title almost a year ago on January 6th, 2025. She has not won a singles title since. On the otherhand, Strowman left WWE in July 2025 after his contract expired and is currently active in the food world, starring in his own show “Everything on the Menu.”

Liv Morgan makes WWE in-ring return at house show

Sidelined and away from in-ring action for over six months, Liv Morgan has finally made her wrestling comeback.

At a recent WWE live house show in Tampa, Florida, Morgan made her return to the ring, where she faced off against former Women’s Intercontinental Champion Lyra Valkyria.

Despite her time away from the ring, Morgan reigned victorious as she defeated and pinned Valkyria after executing the ObLivion. Tonight marked Morgan’s first match since June 16th, when she suffered a shoulder injury against Kairi Sane.

Before her injury hiatus, Morgan was one-half of the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions with Judgment Day member Raquel Rodriguez. She later returned to the promotion at WWE Survivor Series: WarGames 2025, helping Dominik Mysterio win the Intercontinental Championship from John Cena.

Since then, Morgan has remained active on television, while appearing regularly on televised segments and re-aligning herself with The Judgment Day (Finn Balor, Mysterio, Roxanne Perez, Rodriguez).

Two WWE wrestlers featured in new Netflix teaser

WWE’s Bianca Belair and Liv Morgan are both featured in a new Netflix teaser video.

The promo, which was released on Christmas Day, hypes that Netflix will be making an announcement on January 7, 2026 regarding what’s next for the streaming giant. It appears that date is when Netflix will be unveiling some of its programming for the new year, with Belair and Morgan included in the video as WWE representatives. WWE Raw is entering its second year on Netflix — and season two of the docuseries WWE Unreal is also set to premiere in January.

“Another year has ended, but your future is on its way,” Netflix wrote. “So go on, we know you have questions. All you have to do is ask. What Next? Jan 7, 2026.”

The January 5 edition of WWE Raw will celebrate the one-year anniversary of Raw coming to Netflix. Branded as “Stranger Things Night,” the episode is a crossover between WWE and one of the most popular scripted series that Netflix has ever produced. Among the matches set for the show is a World Heavyweight Championship bout with CM Punk defending against Bron Breakker.

At the moment, Belair is still sidelined because of the hand injury that she suffered at WrestleMania 41. She is hoping that her broken knuckle will finally be fixed soon.

A shoulder injury kept Morgan away from WWE programming for a good portion of 2025, but she was able to make her return last month at Survivor Series.

Lana: Liv Morgan & Dominik Mysterio could be ‘literally the main event’ of WWE

Lana believes Liv Morgan & Dominik Mysterio have the potential to be the top act in all of WWE.

On a new edition of TMZ’s Inside the Ring podcast, Lana discussed attending WWE Survivor Series: WarGames and being in attendance for her friend Liv Morgan’s return. Lana said that, while some fans weren’t happy about Morgan and Dominik still being paired together, she thinks there is more story to be told before a breakup.

“I think this pairing is the greatest pairing. I think that if played right, if done right, they could be literally the main event for the company,” Lana said. “They’re there every week. Roman Reigns is not there every week. Brock Lesnar is not there every week. And I think there’s nothing greater than women and men together in storylines. I think that’s always higher engagement, higher talked about, because you’re getting the best of both worlds, right? We all love the women. We all love the men, you know? And, like, why not have them both?

“And so that’s where it’s like — Liv Morgan’s character is wild. And Dom’s character is really cool. And so I think like that opposite, just from a story world, also pulls them in interesting directions and creates interesting dynamic relationships.”

Pointing to examples like AJ Lee, Alexa Bliss, and herself, Lana said she thinks women’s performers can become more over when they’re incorporated into the male storylines. As evidenced by Dominik, the same can also be true by men being part of women’s storylines.

“Dom gets more over being with the women,” Lana said. “Obviously, he’s Rey Mysterio’s son, a ton of legacy in there that you can’t just create. But he also really got over in the Rhea story — and then Rhea really got over in the Liv story. Also, Rhea got really over being paired with Dom. So, I think we should do more of this stuff and they can be both in the divisions. And then we’re talking about the most epic breakup.”

In her return, Morgan helped Dominik regain the Intercontinental title from John Cena. She had been away for several months due to a shoulder injury that required surgery.

Lana is under a WWE Legends contract and is “always ready” for a TV return if given the chance.

Liv Morgan returns at WWE Survivor Series, updated WrestleMania 42 promo airs

Liv Morgan is officially back in WWE.

After almost five months away from in-ring action, she made her official return at Saturday’s WWE Survivor Series just as Dominik Mysterio appeared to be on the verge of losing to John Cena.

Morgan shocked the crowd as she returned in the final moments of the match. While she initially slapped Mysterio, the momentum quickly shifted when she turned on Cena instead, low-blowing and deceiving him. Mysterio followed the low blow with a 619 and frog splash to take home the victory and the Intercontinental title.

Later on, the updated WrestleMania 42 ad with the female talent aired featuring Morgan in it.

The match also saw Mysterio fake an injury, take help from Roxanne Perez, Raquel Rodriguez, JD McDonagh, and Finn Balor. However, all of these attempts to help failed before Morgan did the unthinkable.

He finished the night with his second Intercontinental Championship victory and Morgan in his arms. He is now again officially a double champion with the AAA Mega Championship and Intercontinental title.

Liv Morgan on WWE return: ‘Everyone’s just going to have to watch me’

WWE fans haven’t seen Liv Morgan on their screens since June, but she made an appearance at Netflix’s Stranger Things 5 premiere on Thursday night.

Morgan suffered a shoulder dislocation in a match against Kairi Sane on a June 16 episode of Monday Night Raw. She said little about when she might return, telling Tudum only “I think that everyone’s just going to have to watch me.” She did, however, recently share a video from the night of her injury, when her shoulder was put back into place

Most of Morgan’s discussion at the event was focused on the fifth season of Netflix’s science fiction show. When asked which WWE superstar could defeat a Demogorgon, Morgan named her Judgment Day comrade Dominik Mysterio. “He’s the WWE Intercontinental Champion and the AAA Mega Champion,” she said, “he can kind of do anything.”

Morgan also said she’d like to team with Eleven, the psychically-powered hero of Stranger Things. “Every single time Eleven gets knocked down, she comes back stronger and more powerful than ever.” Morgan said. “She’d be the best tag team partner because I wouldn’t have to lift a finger. She would do everything for me.”

Injured WWE star attends ‘Stranger Things’ world premiere

While still out of action following shoulder surgery, WWE star Liv Morgan made a public appearance this week at the world premiere for “Stranger Things” season five.

The premiere took place in Los Angeles at the TCL Chinese Theatre on Thursday. Morgan — who has been away from WWE action since June due to suffering a dislocated shoulder that required surgery — was among the celebrities spotted on the red carpet.

Season five of “Stranger Things” will debut later this month, with episodes set to be released on November 26, December 25, and December 31. It’s the final season of the show, which is one of the biggest hits in Netflix history. WWE and Netflix have a strong partnership that includes the streamer being the broadcast home of Raw in the United States.

Morgan’s shoulder injury happened before WWE Evolution 2025 and derailed plans for her to face Nikki Bella at the PLE. WWE hopes that Morgan will be able to return around the beginning of 2026, which would put her on track to be involved with WrestleMania season.

Represented by Paradigm Talent Agency, Morgan has acted in “The Kill Room” and made a cameo on the TV series “Chucky.” She’s set for a role in the movie “Bad Lieutenant: Tokyo.”

Morgan and her Judgment Day stablemate Dominik Mysterio are featured together in a new holiday ad campaign for sports retailer Lids.

Liv Morgan’s alleged stalker won’t stand trial until 2026

Liv Morgan’s alleged stalker won’t face trial until next year.

PWInsider reported on Friday that an unopposed motion has been filed requesting Shawn Chan’s trial be pushed back two months, meaning the earliest he could stand trial would be in January. Chan was arrested back in June on federal stalking charges after entering Morgan’s property.

“Mr. Chan is charged with the interstate stalking of a professional wrestler. An initial psychological evaluation done to examine his competency diagnosed delusional disorder,” the motion reads. “The Defense has retained an expert to more fully evaluate Mr. Chan for purposes of trial, and likely to testify. If this second expert will provide testimony, the Government will have a right to conduct its own examination.”

Chan, a Canadian citizen, flew to Florida on May 26 and told customs officials that he would be staying at the WWE Performance Center, which has no housing. Four days later, Chan traveled to Morgan’s home and circled the property several times before entering her backyard. He then attempted to gain entry at the front door but was unsuccessful, and at one point wielded an air rifle pellet gun that had been left out in the porch area. He left a note before leaving the area.

On June 3 after WWE security saw him at the Performance Center, Chan was arrested, having been identified through security footage from Morgan’s home. He was indicted later that month and has remained incarcerated since.

Rey Mysterio, Liv Morgan react to Dominik Mysterio’s AAA Mega Championship win

Liv Morgan and Rey Mysterio have both commented on Dominik Mysterio winning the AAA Mega Championship.

Dominik defeated El Hijo del Vikingo in the main event of Worlds Collide on Friday night in Las Vegas, winning a title his father never won. However, as noted by Konnan on commentary during the show, Rey wrestled in the welterweight division during his time in AAA and back then, only heavyweights challenged for the Mega title.

Rey posted two photos of himself as a double champion in WCW in 1999, holding one-half of the tag team titles with Billy Kidman and also the Cruiserweight belt. He captioned the photos:“@dominik_35 Never say you the greatest until they say you R……. Never say you the first cuz you Weren’t!! Facts Son.Love, Your Dead Beat Dad.”

Dominik responded, “Good job son. Maybe one day you’ll be as great as me. Now post a pic of you holding the AAA Mega Championship.”

Raw General Manager Adam Pearce added, “I’m here for Kidman’s hair.”

Dominik’s on-screen partner Liv Morgan also reacted to Dominik’s win on Friday. She posted to social media, “El Sucio de los Sucios
King of the Luchadors
Greatest Intercontinental Champion of all time
Greatest Mysterio of all time
Your new AAA Mega Champion
Double Champ Dom
My Daddy Dom”

Update on timeline for Liv Morgan’s WWE return

She still has a good amount of time left before she’s back in the ring, but a WrestleMania season return is looking possible for Liv Morgan.

The WWE star has been out of action since suffering a dislocated shoulder against Kairi Sane on the June 16 episode of Raw. With the injury requiring surgery, it forced Morgan out of action and derailed WWE’s plans for Evolution — where Morgan was set to face Nikki Bella in some form.

Morgan underwent shoulder surgery at the end of June, and PWInsider reports that she was slated for a new evaluation this week. The report says the internal hope within WWE is that Morgan will be able to return to action in the beginning of 2026 as long as things remain on schedule.

The 2026 Royal Rumble is set to be held in Saudi Arabia in January, with the exact date still to be announced.

Morgan & Raquel Rodriguez were the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions at the time of Morgan’s injury. Roxanne Perez filled in for Morgan until dropping the titles to Charlotte Flair & Alexa Bliss at SummerSlam.

A member of Judgment Day, Morgan is one of the top stars in the WWE women’s division. She’s had two singles Women’s Championship reigns during her career.
