Joey Janela’s Spring Break 3, part two set for WrestleMania weekend

There will be two Joey Janela’s Spring Break events during WrestleMania week 2019.

It was announced last night that part two of Joey Janela’s Spring Break 3 will take place at White Eagle Hall in Jersey City, New Jersey at 11:59 p.m. Eastern time on Saturday, April 6. Saturday’s Spring Break is called “The Greatest Clusterf***,” with it being named after the annual Spring Break multi-man match.

Janela tweeted: “Alot of fans missed out on SB 3 tickets, which sold out in a record setting 4 minutes! Good news the first weekend of April is now SPRING BREAK WEEKEND!!! 2 completely different cards & completely different talent, THIS IS THE GREATEST CLUSTERF***!! Tickets on sale Fri at noon!”

With part two of Spring Break taking place after ROH and NJPW’s G1 Supercard, Janela noted that his show won’t start until everyone arrives from G1 Supercard.

Janela’s Spring Break events are in conjunction with Game Changer Wrestling. Part one of Spring Break 2019 is being held at White Eagle Hall on Friday, April 5, which is opposite NXT TakeOver: New York.

WrestleMania week notes: WM ticket info, Spring Break sells out

The landscape for next year’s WrestleMania weekend is starting to take shape after today’s announcements.

WrestleMania 35 tickets will be open to the general public starting on Friday, November 16 at 10 a.m. ET.. Individual tickets start at $35 and go all the way up to $2,500 (minus service charges). However, for those who are interested in travel packages, those tickets will be on sale starting on November 5 at noon ET at WrestleManiaTravel.com.

As for Axxess, WWE has switched things up this year. Axxess now starts on Friday and runs through Monday, with no Thursday sessions. This would give other promotions an ample opportunity to run unopposed against WWE scheduled events. The current location for next year’s Axxess show has yet to be announced.

Tickets for Joey Janela’s Spring Break went on sale today and sold out instantly. This will be the third year in a row that Joey Janela and Game Changer Wrestling have ran a show during WrestleMania weekend. Before tickets went on sale, it was announced that Atsushi Onita would be coming in.

Atsushi Onita announced for Joey Janela’s Spring Break 3

Joey Janela has revealed the first name for the third Spring Break event set to take place next April, and it’s a doozy.

A video posted on Janela’s Twitter account revealed that Atsushi Onita is the first name set for the upcoming WrestleMania weekend event. No other names or an opponent for Onita have been announced.

Onita recently held a press conference announcing his return to pro wrestling. He retired once again back in October of last year following a months long retirement tour. His last match was a six man barbed wire match, teaming with KAI And Shingo Takagi to defeat Nosawa, Kazuyuki Fujita and Kendo Kashin. Onita has retired multiple times over the years, his first back in January of 1985 due to accumulating injuries.

Joey Janela’s Spring Break 3 will take place on April 5, 2019 at the White Eagle Hall in Jersey City, New Jersey. Tickets will go on sale Monday at noon.

Janela out for ‘at least a year’ with knee injury, stripped of WWN title

Joey Janela is out for at least a year following a botched dive spot last month that totaled his knee.

After revealing the extent of the damage to his knee last week, Janela took to Twitter today to give another update on his injury status.

“Well I met my surgeon today, it’s official I’ll be gone for at least a year…even worse [than] I thought, really heartbroken,” he wrote. “He said this one was is really bad, surgery next week…the voyage has never been easy for me, It’s a long way to the top if you wanna rock ‘n’ roll.”

It was announced earlier this morning by WWN that due to the knee injury, Janela has been officially stripped of the WWN championship. A tournament to crown a new champion will take place on October 28 in Ybor City, Florida.

Janela was injured back on 9/21 during the Game Changer Wrestling Live Fast, Die Young event. Janela went for a crossbody off the top rope to the floor on former WCW star Psicosis when he landed badly on his knee on impact, tearing his PCL and MCL among other tears, contusions and sprains.

Joey Janela reveals MRI results, expects to be out ‘for a long while’

Joey Janela appears to be out of of action for a long period of time after suffering major damage to his knee during a match this past weekend.

In a video posted this afternoon on Twitter, Janela revealed results from a recent MRI that determined the extent of his injuries. Among a torn PCL and MCL, he also suffered numerous fractures, sprains, and other contusions in the leg including a mild bone contusion, an impaction fracture in one of his bones in the knee, a sprain in the fibular collateral ligament, an ACL sprain and other ligament damage

He noted in the video that he would likely be going under surgery to repair the knee and would be out for a long period of time.

Janela injured his leg in a match against former WCW star Psicosis in a match during Game Changer Wrestling’s Live Fast, Die Young iPPV on 9/21. Janela went for a crossbody off the top rope to the floor, but his leg landed awkwardly upon landing, causing the extensive damage.

Street fight stipulation set for Page vs. Janela at All In

With the show just a few days away, a stipulation has been added to one of the matches for All In.

It was announced this morning that Hangman Page vs. Joey Janela will now be a Chicago Street Fight. Page’s storyline on Being the Elite has been that he’s responsible for the fictitious murder of Joey Ryan, and Page tweeted about the street fight stipulation today: “so murdering Joey Janela with a telephone is now legal. noted. #JoeyKiller”

All In: Zero Hour will air exclusively on WGN America at 6 p.m. Eastern time on Saturday. The four-hour main card begins at 7 p.m. Eastern and is available through pay-per-view, Fite TV, and HonorClub. NJPW has also announced that All In will be available on-demand through New Japan World for subscribers “shortly after the live broadcast.” Further details on when the show will be added haven’t been revealed.

Here’s the updated card:

  • The Young Bucks & Kota Ibushi vs. Rey Mysterio, Fenix & Bandido
  • Kenny Omega vs. Pentagon Jr.
  • NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion Nick Aldis defending against Cody Rhodes
  • Kazuchika Okada vs. Marty Scurll
  • ROH World Champion Jay Lethal defending against the winner of the Over Budget Battle Royale
  • Madison Rayne vs. Tessa Blanchard vs. Britt Baker vs. Chelsea Green
  • Hangman Page vs. Joey Janela (Chicago Street Fight)
  • “Arrow” star Stephen Amell vs. Christopher Daniels
  • 15-participant Over Budget Battle Royale for an ROH World Championship shot against Jay Lethal later in the night (Moose, Rocky Romero, Colt Cabana, Jordynne Grace, Ethan Page, Brian Cage, Billy Gunn, Jimmy Jacobs, Marko Stunt, Brandon Cutler, and Punishment Martinez have been confirmed) (All In: Zero Hour)
  • The Briscoes vs. Frankie Kazarian & Scorpio Sky (All In: Zero Hour)

Hangman Page vs. Joey Janela announced for All In

The card for All In now has three confirmed matches.

At the end of today’s episode of Being the Elite, it was announced that Hangman Page will be facing Joey Janela (w/ Penelope Ford) at the September 1 show in Hoffman Estates, Illinois. Their match joins Kazuchika Okada vs. Marty Scurll and Cody Rhodes challenging for the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship on the card.

Page’s story on Being the Elite has been that he’s responsible for the “murder” of Joey Ryan’s character. Page facing Janela was announced after he snapped when Juice Robinson asked him about the “Joey thing” from last week’s episode, referring to Janela’s appearance.

The storyline of Flip Gordon trying to get booked on All In also continued on this week’s Being the Elite. After Gordon lost his NWA title match against Nick Aldis at ROH Honor for All last Friday and seemingly earned Cody’s respect, Cody teased booking Gordon for the show but gave him a $25 Cracker Barrel gift card instead.

Today’s Being the Elite is available to watch below:

EVOLVE 106 results: Joey Janela debuts, wins WWN title

EVOLVE’s two-show weekend began in Brooklyn, New York last night.

– Josh Briggs defeated Bad Bones

The EVOLVE newcomer Briggs and the German star Bad Bones had a physical big-man match. Briggs won with the chokebreaker.

– Jon Davis defeated Jarek 1:20 (w/ Candy Cartwright)

Davis, who was making a surprise return to EVOLVE, proclaimed he was here for a fight and proceeded to impose his will on the illusionist Jarek. Davis put him away after a powerbomb, German suplex, and lariat combination.

– Adrian Alanis & Liam Grey defeated Leon Ruff & Tommy Maserati (w/ AR Fox and fellow members of The Skulk)

The crowd erupted for the action between these two sets of Fox’s students. Alanis scored the pin for his team and they all celebrated before Fox called out DJZ for their match.

– AR Fox (w/ The Skulk) defeated DJZ

The fans appreciated both men in this athletic spectacle. Ayla Fox distracted DJZ at ringside by wearing his LED mask, which allowed Fox to take the advantage. The Fox Catcher finished it off.

– Darby Allin defeated WALTER

This was another in the long line of breakthrough performances by Allin, who showed incredible heart by taking a mauling from WALTER but never giving up. There were huge chops and strikes throughout by WALTER. Allin tried to use his speed and high flying but always got cut off by WALTER’s power.

Allin was able to roll back through a clutch choke hold to score the three count, sending the crowd into a frenzy for a moment before WALTER kicked Allin with a cheap shot and stormed off. Allin was helped to the back as he held up three fingers as if he couldn’t believe what he had just done.

– Bryan Idol (w/ Natalya Markova) defeated Mike Verna

The crowd was firmly behind Verna in this one, but Idol picked up the win to their dismay.

– Jaka, Chris Dickinson & Dominic Garrini (w/ Stokely Hathaway) defeated Anthony Henry, Timothy Thatcher & Tracy Williams

A wild six-man brawl with some incredible technical wrestling involved as well. This was the prelude for the Williams vs. Dickinson “Catch Point rules” match tomorrow at EVOLVE 107 in Melrose, Massachusetts.

After the match, Thatcher wasn’t happy with Henry and let him have it before storming off.

– Joey Janela (w/ Penelope Ford) defeated Austin Theory (w/ Priscilla Kelly) to win the WWN Championship

The Brooklyn fans were on fire for this matchup. There was wild action all over the place and the managers each got involved. Theory overpowered Janela, but he kept fighting and hit a super brainbuster off the ropes for a major victory.

The crowd erupted for the title change, with Janela winning it on his EVOLVE debut.

– EVOLVE Champion Matt Riddle vs. Shane Strickland ended in a no contest

Strickland attacked Riddle before the bell for the early advantage. Riddle fought back with his powerbomb and knee strike until Strickland cut him off to take back the advantage. Riddle charged the corner, but Strickland evading it caused the referee to be incapacitated by Riddle.

The two then brawled to the back and through the curtain — where the rest of the locker room joined in the fight. Strickland wiped out a pack of wrestlers before Riddle yanked him by the hair back into the ring to choke him out.

WWN personnel tried to pull Riddle off Strickland and seemingly end this match. Riddle then said that wasn’t the finish he wanted, but it was a great night and it was because of the fans in Brooklyn. He thanked them to end the show.

Joey Janela & Penelope Ford, Chelsea Green booked for All In

Three more wrestlers have been confirmed for the Bullet Club’s All In show.

Joey Janela & Penelope Ford and Chelsea Green were added to the lineup for All In today. They join Cody Rhodes, The Young Bucks, Kenny Omega, Stephen Amell, Hangman Page, Marty Scurll, Tessa Blanchard, Penta El Zero M, Rey Fenix, Kazuchika Okada, and Deonna Purrazzo as names that have been announced for the show.

Janela is coming off his Spring Break II event with Game Changer Wrestling in New Orleans over WrestleMania weekend. He and Ford regularly team together in intergender tag matches, but their role for All In has yet to be revealed. Green departed Impact Wrestling (where she wrestled as Laurel Van Ness) in January.

Two more people will be confirmed for All In this Wednesday. A press conference for the show, which will include talent/match announcements and ticket information, is taking place at Pro Wrestling Tees’ store in Chicago on May 13th. The press conference will stream live on Facebook and Twitch.

The Sears Centre Arena in the Chicago area is set to host All In on September 1st.

Joey Janela’s Spring Break 2 results: Joey Janela vs. The Great Sasuke

Here’s a recap of everything that went down at this morning’s Joey Janela Spring Break 2 event in New Orleans.

Things started off with a video, a parody of the film The Wrestler starring an older Joey Janela, Penelope Ford and an older Lio Rush. The end of the video parodied the tweet that Lio Rush got into a ton of trouble for after Emma was released from her contract last year.

– Eli Everfly defeated DJZ, Tony Deppen, Gringo Loco, KTB and Teddy Hart in a six way match

Teddy Hart was in control and laid everyone out with codebreakers and lumbar checks. He laid out people on the outside with an Asai moonsault. KTB followed with a tope con hilo. KTB launched Eli Everfly to the floor, taking someone out with a hurricanrana then came back to the ring and laid out KTB.

Gringo Loco went for a powerbomb off the top rope, but Everfly countered with a hurricanrana. Everyone came back in and kept doing moves, so if that is the kind of match you like, this had a million of them. Everfly got the win after doing a underhook Canadian destroyer off the top rope. I thought those were illegal here…

– Matt Riddle defeated James Ellsworth

Ellsworth jumped Riddle at the bell and stomped on his leg. Riddle fought back with gutwrench suplexes, then planted Ellsworth with an exploder and a senton. Riddle went for a knee strike, but it missed…because he has no chin, you see. Ellsworth hit two superkicks for a nearfall.

Ellsworth went for another superkick, but Riddle dodged, took Ellsworth down and sunk in the bromission. Ellsworth immediately tapped out. Short, but fun while it lasted.

Virgil came to the ring. He cut a promo, but I have no idea what he said. Then he headed to the back. Cool.

– PCO defeated WALTER

WALTER cut a promo before the match and said he’d give PCO one last chance to back out. PCO, in a very un PG manner, objected.

They do, in fact, chop each other. WALTER hit a seated splash. PCO made a comeback, but Walter back body dropped him to the floor. PCO battled WALTER around the ring. He took a table from out of the ring  and continued to brawl with WALTER until he took PCO and flung him back first onto the apron.

WALTER argued with the referee, and in the distraction PCO tried to powerbomb him onto the table, but WALTER escaped and worked him over, throwing him into some stairs. PCO went to the top rope and hit a moonsault that completely missed WALTER and took out the referee instead. WALTER took PCO and powerbombed him through the table, the first good table break of the evening at the arena.

WALTER hit another powerbomb, but the referee was still out. Another came in, but PCO kicked out. The two got into a chop fest that the crowd really got into. WALTER made it to the outside where PCO followed with a somersault senton to the floor. He took WALTER to the top rope and hit a top rope hurricanrana for a nearfall. WALTER came to and hit a overhead suplex.

PCO came alive and hit a rolling senton then followed with a springboard moonsault. He followed with a senton bomb and picked up the win. Honestly, an incredible back and forth match that’s among one of the best matches of the weekend so far. If you would have told me last year PCO would look this awesome in doing what he did, I would have called you crazy. It’s clear at this point the rules of logic don’t apply to pro wrestling in 2018.

After the match, the two chopped each other one more time before shaking hands.

– Nick Gage defeated Penta 0M

So within the first thirty seconds of the match Penta blasted Gage flush in the head with a steel chair shot. They took it to the outside where Penta went to chop Gage but he dodged and Penta slapped his hand on the barrier instead. Penta took out a lot of doors, which are under the ring for reasons unknown. They were set up, with Penta and Gage going through two of them rather quickly.

Chairs were introduced. Penta set up a door on two of them and took Gage to the top rope. Gage took him down and powerbombed him into the table and hit a uranage into a backbreaker for the win. A solid weapons brawl.

Gage cut a promo on the fans after the match, saying anyone that wants to fight him, he’ll be in the parking lot.

– David Starr defeated Mike Quackenbush

They do some mat wrestling to start things off. Quackenbush gets Starr in a octopus stretch, but Starr escapes, grabs him and hits a running charge into two turnbuckles. Quackenbush comes back with a hurricanrana to the floor and a swanton bomb. He follows with the Quackendriver for a nearfall.

Quackenbush goes for a springboard but Starr grabs him and powerbombs him. Quackenbush hits a tornado DDT and goes for a dive but Starr catches him and plants a DDT on the apron. Quackenbush tried to fight back, but ate a sick lariat, allowing Starr to get the pin and the win in a good back and forth match.

Starr took the mic after the match and said the match was special to him because Quackenbush was his most influential wrestler. He said it was an honor and a privilege to share a ring with him.

There was a long video with MJF trying to get into the arena for the cluster match. He ended up being locked in a janitor’s closet.

– The Invisible Man won the Clusterf**k match

Jimmy Lloyd and Martina started things off. Orange Cassidy followed not too long after. , then Curt Stallion, then Wheeler Yuta, then Facade. People were coming in as soon as other people were coming in, I guess living up to the name. Facade hit Stallion with a inverted death valley driver then pinned Stallion with a dropkick to the corner.

Swoggle came in next and beat up everyone. Grado came in next and overpowered him. Kikutaro came in and tried to ropewalk but fell and crotched himself. The Invisible Man came in next and cleaned house until Kikutaro tried to test him….but then was thrown over the top rope, eliminating him. Swoggle soon tapped out Swoggle.

Joe Gacy came in next, then Brian Idol. Chris Dickinson in a mask and smoking a cigarette came out next to Real American. Yes, that Real American. Facade went to rope walk, but Dickinson threw a chair at him and eliminated him, then Joe Gacy, then Wheeler Yuta was thrown to the floor, eliminating him as well. Dickinson hit a legdrop and pinned Grado.

Dan Severn followed, then Alabama Doink, and the two went at it. Severn then let Alabama Doink eliminate himself, and he happily obliged. Dickinson seized the opportunity and eliminated Severn immediately after. RSP followed, then Marcus Crane, Crazy Boy and Aero Boy from DTU. Rory Gulak then came out to his brother’s old music and gimmick.

Nate Webb came in next and entered the crowd. This went on for several minutes and the match just kind of stopped. He eventually entered the ring and laid out Rory immediately with the soylent green to eliminate him. Ethan Page was next, then MJF. Team DTU were eliminated by Page and MJF as they joined forces and eliminated RSP next. Martina came back in with a used condom and used it like Mr. Socko. A lot of lewd stuff followed, then Ethan Page rolled up Martina to eliminate her.

Orange Cassidy came in and misted Page and MJF with orange juice. He went to the top rope and hit the laziest headbutt ever and misses, crashing to the floor. He’s eliminated immediately, which brings us back to the Invisible Man, who clears house. Jimmy Lloyd hits a piledriver, but then the official rules that it is illegal, so he is being forced out of the building by the Louisiana State Commission and thus is eliminated.

MJF and Page picked on referee Bryce Resemberg next, pushing him to the floor. He retaliated by body slamming MJF and hit a tilt a whirl DDT on Page. MJF laid him out and threw him to the floor. Mikey Whipwreck was out next as a surprise, and the two started to beat him up as well. Whipwreck hit the whippersnapper on Page and Webb laid out Page to eliminate him.

The final two seemingly were Nate Webb and MJF. But right after MJF eliminated Webb, the Invisible Man came in and rolled up MJ for the win. This match was exactly what it was advertised as, that is for damn sure.

– Joey Janela defeated The Great Sasuke

Sasuke was doing a Buddhist monk gimmick. He hypnotized Janela and had him land on his head. They fought over to a table there Sasuke threw Janela into the table, but it didn’t break. Sasuke set up a ladder on the bottom rope and went to do a senton, but Janela dodged and Sasuke managed to put his head through a rung.

More crazy spots with weapons. Sasuke powerbombed Janela into a bunch of standing chairs then clobbered him with a door. Janela yelled out Cornette’s name and hit a death valley driver on the apron. Janela went for a senton, but Sasuke dodged and Janela landed on the concrete hard. Sasuke uses the opportunity to set up a table and dives headfirst through the table.

Penelope Ford comes in and tries to distract Sasuke by dancing. He falls for it at Janela jumps him from behind. He goes for a moonsault, but Sasuke dodges once again. Somehow, a trash can is introduced. Sasuke clumsily climbs to the top rope. He tried to put the trash can over his head for a dive, but eventually he gave up and hit a swanton bomb. Janela dodged, sending Sasuke crashing to the floor.

Janela finally put a chair on top of Sasuke, went to the top rope and pinned Sasuke after a double foot stomp. A unique brawl of a bout, and crowd was hot it for it. Well, at least as hot as they could be for a show ending in the wee hours of the morning.

Janela put over Sasuke after the match, and they both sang “It’s My Life” by Bon Jovi to close out the show, which was one hell of an experience, I sure as hell can tell you.

Parker grabbed Yuta’s leg for the distraction to allow the Blondes to steal the win. Post match, Parker offered his services to Mike Parrow who was about to be interviewed.

Garza snatched the mask off Ninja and scored the pin.

– Barrington Hughes defeated Vandal Ortagun

– The Low Ki vs. MVP unsanctioned fight went to a no finish

– MLW Championship Tournament Semifinal Match: Shane Strickland defeated Jimmy Havoc

Joey Janela replacing injured TK Cooper in PWG’s BOLA

Due to an ankle injury that he suffered earlier this month, TK Cooper won’t be able to compete in this year’s Battle of Los Angeles.

PWG officially announced the news last night, with Joey Janela being confirmed as Cooper’s replacement in the tournament. Janela will be taking on Sammy Guevara in place of Cooper on night two.

Cooper and Travis Banks (as the South Pacific Power Trip) were scheduled to face The Young Bucks in non-tournament action on night one, but that match is now off and The Young Bucks won’t be appearing on the first night. They’ll still be teaming with Kenny Omega against Penta El Zero M, Rey Fenix & Flamita on night two.

PWG tweeted that they hope to reschedule The Young Bucks vs. South Pacific Power Trip for a show when Cooper’s injury has healed.

Cooper dislocated his ankle at PROGRESS Wrestling’s show in New York on August 12th when doing a twisting dive off the top to the floor. Banks then continued against Tyler Bate & Trent Seven on his own after Cooper was forced out of the match.

Janela is a wrestler who has generated a lot of buzz this year, including for the “Joey Janela’s Spring Break” show he put on with Game Changer Wrestling over WrestleMania weekend in Orlando.

The 2017 Battle of Los Angeles will take place on September 1-3 in Reseda, California. Here’s the list of matches for the first two nights:

Night one —

  • Donovan Dijak & Keith Lee vs. Matt Riddle & Jeff Cobb (non-tournament match)
  • Flamita vs. Ricochet
  • Jonah Rock vs. Zack Sabre Jr.
  • Matt Sydal vs. Penta El Zero M
  • Flash Morgan Webster vs. Marty Scurll
  • Rey Fenix vs. Rey Horus
  • Brian Cage vs. Dezmond Xavier

Night two —

  • Kenny Omega & The Young Bucks vs. Penta El Zero M, Rey Fenix & Flamita (non-tournament match)
  • Ricochet & Matt Sydal vs. Zack Sabre Jr. & Marty Scurll (non-tournament match)
  • Keith Lee vs. WALTER
  • Mark Haskins vs. Travis Banks
  • Matt Riddle vs. Michael Elgin
  • Jeff Cobb vs. Sami Callihan
  • Donovan Dijak vs. Trevor Lee
  • Sammy Guevara vs. Joey Janela

Joey Janela’s Spring Break results: Matt Riddle vs. Dan Severn; Janela vs. Marty Jannetty

Late Thursday night, Game Changer Wrestling presented a rather unique event on FloSlam: a Spring Break show booked and hosted by one of their stars, Joey Janela.

Here’s the results in case you missed them:

– Sami Callihan defeated Kyle the Beast by submission with the Stretch Muffler

Good opener where Beast held his own.

– Andy Williams & Penelope Ford defeated Allie & Braxton Sutter after Ford pinned Sutter following a moonsault

Williams is the frontman for the band Every Time I Die and has been wrestling for the last few months. This was an intergender match with a bunch of male/female spots. Allie and Sutter played the heels.

– GCW Champion Matt Tremont defeated Eddie Kingston to retain after a death valley driver through a door

This turned into a bloodbath brawl with Tremont bleeding heavily throughout.

– Jimmy Lloyd defeated Arik Cannon, Bryan Idol, Crazy Boy, Evil Dink, Ethan Page, Facade, Glacier, The Invisible Man, Jervis Cottonbelly, John Silver, Veda Scott and Flip Gordon in Spring Break ClusterF%$# match after Lloyd eliminated Ethan Page

The match lived up to its name, going over 40 minutes with a ton of spots, both serious and comedy. The highlight of the match had to be either the showdown between Glacier and Page (Mortal Kombat movie music and all) or The Invisible Man being thrown to the outside where everyone took a bump in response. We heard Scott lost some teeth in the match.

– Lio Rush defeated Keith Lee after three frog splashes.

In terms of pure in-ring action, this was easily the match of the show.

– Joey Janela pinned Marty Jannetty following a superkick

This wasn’t bad although it was obvious Jannetty couldn’t move around that much. They kept it simple and used lots of smoke and mirrors. Lots of ref bumps near the end, which brought in Earl Hebner for the finish. One big spot: a Hebner ref bump that allowed Virgil to interfere which then set up a Jannetty Canadian Destroyer on Janela.

– Matt Riddle defeated Dan “The Beast” Severn by submission with the Bromission

This was pretty good, a nice back and forth effort with some cool mat wrestling. Afterward, Riddle said “they didn’t call sh*t” in the match, but “just beat the sh*t out of each other.”

This wasn’t a “star ratings” show at all, nor was it designed to be. It was simply a very fun show with everyone playing their role very well. What needed to deliver did and what didn’t need to deliver at least held its own with some fun spots. Definitely catch the replay on FloSlam if you want to watch something fun as a change of pace from everything else going on.
