Steve Maclin vs. PCO World title match announced for Impact Under Siege

The first title defense for new Impact World Champion Steve Maclin has been confirmed and it will be at next month’s Under Siege against PCO.

The streaming event will take place on Friday, May 26th in Toronto, Canada.

The match was made at the end of Thursday’s Impact on AXS TV as Maclin was having his “Changing of the Guard” championship celebration following his victory at last Sunday’s Rebellion.

In a jab at injured former champion Josh Alexander, Maclin was calling out any Canadian for a title shot which brought out Impact president Scott D’Amore.

The two had a heated verbal confrontation where D’Amore teased that he would be the Canadian to challenge Maclin, but he then revealed it would be PCO.

PCO emerged from the back and took out Maclin’s camouflaged-dressed security detail before he and Maclin exchanged punches. The champion eventually got out of the ring and watched as PCO took out two security members through a table to close the show.

PCO, who has never held Impact gold, is coming off a win over rival Eddie Edwards in a Last Rites match at Rebellion while Maclin defeated KUSHIDA to win the vacant title.

FinJuice vs. Austin & Fulton Tag Team title match set for Impact

The next top contenders for the Impact Tag Team Champions were made at Saturday’s Under Siege show and they already have a date for their championship opportunity.

Ace Austin and Madman Fulton survived a four-way on Saturday that included TJP and Petey Williams, Rohit Raju and Shera, and XXL to earn an opportunity at Tag Team Champions FinJuice this Thursday on Impact. Austin picked up the win after an assisted plancha on Larry D of XXXL to pick up the victory.

FinJuice were also part of Saturday’s show, teaming with Eddie Edwards in a win over Impact World Champion Kenny Omega and the Good Brothers. David Finlay and Juice Robinson will be looking for the second defense of the titles they won at March’s Sacrifice.

Austin is a former X-Division champion while Fulton has yet to win gold in Impact.

Austin and Fulton’s victory wasn’t the only one that involved a title shot as Moose earned a World title shot with his win in a six-way in the Under Siege main event.

New Impact Knockouts Tag Team champions crowned at Under Siege

New Knockouts Tag Team champions were crowned at tonight’s Impact Under Siege event on Impact Plus.

The team of Fire ‘n’ Flava (Kiera Hogan and Tasha Steelz) regained the Knockouts Tag Team titles from Jordynne Grace and Rachael Ellering. The finish had Grace going for a superplex, but Steelz ended up blocking it, dropped Grace, then pinned her with a frog splash. This is Fire ‘n’ Flavas second run with the titles, winning a tournament back at Hard to Kill in January.

This ends Grace and Ellering’s first run with the titles, having won them last month at Impact Rebellion. After Jazz lost her Knockout’s title match at Hardcore Justice, she had to retire per the stipulations of that match, leaving Grace without a partner until Rebellion, where Grace introduced Ellering as her new partner.

In the other title defenses on the card, Josh Alexander successfully defended the X-Division title against El Phantasmo, and Deonna Purrazzo was able to walk away still Knockouts champion after defeating Havok.
