Impact Wrestling results: Fallout from Redemption

Previously: At Redemption, Pentagon Jr. defeated Impact World Champion Austin Aries and Fenix to win the title.

Tonight: Impact World Tag Team Champions Scott Steiner & Eli Drake take on LAX.

– Earlier today, Austin Aries gathered the roster and addressed losing the title. He proclaimed that the Grand Championship is the main title.

Aries promised he wasn’t going to make any excuses for losing the World Championship — and then proceeded to make excuses. Moose called him out and told him off. The roster walked out, but Aries acted as if he ordered them to leave.

Brian Cage defeated Trevor Lee (w/ Caleb Konley)

Cage was firmly in control until Lee bit his hand, then Lee hit a double foot stomp on the apron. Cage made a wild comeback and nailed Konley with a clothesline on the floor. He won after hitting the Drill Claw.

– Eddie Edwards arrived at the Impact Zone. Tommy Dreamer tried to convince him to leave and stay with his wife at the hospital, but Edwards was blinded with rage and ignored his advice.

Edwards came down to the ring and discussed putting Sami Callihan in the hospital. Edwards isn’t finished and called out OVE. They ran out, but Edwards cut them off with a suicide dive. Edwards got a kendo stick from underneath the ring before a video started to play.

At the hospital, a man in a wheelchair with flowers entered Alisha Edwards’ room. His face was covered with two white balloons. He removed the balloons to reveal Callihan, saying he just wants to talk. Edwards ran out of the Impact Zone.

Flashback Moment of the Week: The Steiner Brothers defeated Team 3D in a two-out-of-three tables match (Bound For Glory 2007)

Both teams brawled all over ringside and in the crowd. The Steiners were in complete control until Team 3D put Rick through a table. Scott gave Bully Ray a top rope Frankensteiner through a table, and The Steiners won the match when Rick gave D-Von a bulldog through a table.

Moose defeated Braxton Sutter

Sutter was in control until Moose made a comeback. He hit the hesitation dropkick and a spear for the win. After the match, Moose congratulated Pentagon Jr. but promised he was coming after the Impact World Championship.

– McKenzie Mitchell interviewed Matt Sydal, who mentioned that he no longer needs a spiritual advisor. Suddenly, the camera cut away and a person was found knocked out backstage with an X on his chest.

– At the LAX Clubhouse, Ortiz and Santana tried to figure out what to do next. Santana wondered about Homicide, but Ortiz wanted to focus on the World Tag Team Championship match later. They still haven’t heard from Konnan.

Knockouts Champion Allie defeated Taya Valkyrie to retain her title

Valkyrie jumped Allie to start the match, but Allie fired up and made a wild comeback. She countered out of the Road to Valhalla and hit the superkick. She won the match after hitting the code breaker.

Following the match, a group of undead bridesmaids brought a casket to the ring. Allie starred at the casket when the lights went out. Su Yung appeared in the ring and attacked Allie. The lights went out again and Rosemary appeared in the ring. The lights went out a third time and Yung disappeared.

– In the back, KM apologized to Fallah Bahh for fat shaming him. KM revealed they are teaming up together and have a match next week. Bahh was confused.

– At the hospital, Edwards barged into his wife’s room and was angry she spoke with Callihan. She wanted to know why Edwards left her alone. Edwards then ran to Callihan’s room and attacked him until the doctor and nurses stopped him. Edwards ran out of the room.

Later, Josh Mathews announced that Edwards had been arrested.

Impact World Tag Team Champions Eli Drake & Scott Steiner defeated LAX to retain their titles

Before the match, Steiner cut a promo on LAX and called them out. LAX were in control early before Drake sent Santana to the floor. Steiner gave Santana a belly-to-belly superplex for a two count.

Ortiz got the hot tag and ran wild, scoring a near fall after hitting a Death Valley Driver. LAX set up for the Street Sweeper, but Drake countered into a slam for the win.

Drake promised that he’s cashing in his title shot soon. Aries came out and noted that the Grand Championship is the most important title. Aries said it doesn’t matter which title he cashes in on because the World Championship is coming back to him.

Impact World Champion Pentagon Jr. came down to the ring. The tag champs jumped Aries and Pentagon, but Pentagon cleared the ring.

Aries and Pentagon had a staredown with each other while holding their respective championships.

Impact Redemption live results: Aries vs. Pentagon Jr. vs. Fenix

Impact Wrestling presents its first pay-per-view of the current regime tonight as Redemption takes place at the Impact Zone in Orlando, Florida.

With Alberto El Patron being released from the company, the main event for Redemption was changed in the weeks before the show. Impact World Champion Austin Aries will now defend his title against Pentagon Jr. and Fenix in a triple threat match. That was also the main event of Impact vs. Lucha Underground in New Orleans, which Pentagon won by pinning Fenix.

The Knockouts, X Division, and Tag Team titles will be on the line as well. Allie is defending her title against Su Yung, Petey Williams is challenging for Matt Sydal’s championship, and LAX are defending against Eli Drake & Scott Steiner.

Eddie Edwards, Moose & Tommy Dreamer vs. Sami Callihan & OVE, Aerostar vs. Drago, Taya Valkyrie vs. Kiera Hogan, and a six-way match are also set for the PPV. Our live coverage begins at 8 p.m. Eastern time.

Aero Star defeated Drago

Aero Star got the early advantage with a twisting corkscrew body block, hurricanrana and a dive to the floor. Drago nailed a twisting tope con hilo to the floor. Aero Star made a brief comback but Drago regained the advantage and scored another near fall. Aero Star made another comeback by hitting a rolling cutter. Aero Star hit a springboard second rope code breaker for the win.

Earlier today, Josh Matthews and Matt Sydal discussed his title defense against Petey Williams later.

At the LAX Clubhouse, Santana and Ortiz played a game of Dominos. They pointed out that Konnan is absent. Santana got a phone call and flipped out. Apparently, somebody attacked Konnan. Santana mentioned an individual named King.

Eli Drake & Scott Steiner defeated Impact World Tag Team Champions LAX

The heels isolated Ortiz and kept him on their side of the ring. Santana got the hot tag and ran wild. LAX hit a moonsault/leg drop combo for a two count but Steiner broke up the pin attempt.

Steiner executed a top rope Frankensteiner on Santana. LAX made a comeback and set up for the Street Sweeper. Instead, Santana hit a cross body block to Steiner on the floor. In the ring, Drake countered and hit the Gravy Train on Ortiz to win the tag team championship.

Brian Cage defeated Trevor Lee, DJ Z, El Hijo Del Fantasma, Taiji Ishimori and Dezmond Xavier

This was a wild match with lots of action and high flying. Fantasma set up for a dive, but Lee cut him off. Lee isolated DJ Z and wore him down. Cage finally got the tag and ran wild. Cage botched a moonsault but recovered and scored a two count.

DJ Z leaped off of Xavier’s back and caught Lee with a DDT off the apron to the floor. Cage hit a Samoan drop and fall away slam on Xavier and Fantasma. Finish came when Cage caught Xavier and nailed the Drill Claw for the win.

Taya Valkyrie defeated Kiera Hogan

During the match, Tessa Blanchard debuted and joined Matthews and Callis on commentary.

Valkyrie and Hogan brawled around ringside to start the match. Valkyrie took over and was firmly in control. Hogan made a brief comeback and scored a near fall. Valkyrie hit the Road To Valhalla for the win.

X Division Champion Matt Sydal defeated Petey Williams

Early in the match, Williams was firmly in control but Sydal took over with a spinning heel kick. Sydal hit a standing moonsault for a near fall. Williams locked on the Sharpshooter by Sydal made the ropes. Williams followed up with a springboard code breaker on the apron.

Sydal attempted the Shooting Star press, but Williams got his knees up. Williams hit the Canadian Destroyer but Sydal rolled to the floor. Williams teased doing a super Canadian Destroyer but Sydal countered. Williams attempted another Destroyer but Sydal countered into a pump handle into a pin to retain the title.

OVE (Sami Callihan, Dave & Jake Crist) defeated Eddie Edwards, Moose & Tommy Dreamer in a House of Hardcore Rules match

Jake hit a dive onto all three faces but Moose caught him with a power bomb on the apron. Moose attempted a tope con hilo but Callihan moved and Moose crashed hard on a ladder.

OVE took over and used a series of triple team moves on Dreamer. OVE isolated Edwards and hit the All Seeing Eye onto two chairs. Dreamer gave Callihan a Death Valley Driver through a table on the floor.

Dave attempted to superplex Edwards into thumbtacks. Moose and Edwards gave Dave a power bomb/Boston knee party onto the tacks.

Callihan brought in a baseball bat, but Dreamer brought in a barbwire baseball bat. Callihan nailed Dreamer with a low blow and rolled him up for the win.

After the match, Edwards busted Callihan open with the barbwire bat. Edwards tied Callihan to the ropes and viciously beat him with a kendo stick. Edwards snapped and hit the referee, Dave and Jake with the kendo stick.

Dreamer tried to stop him but got shoved to the ground. Alisha Edwards ran out to stop him but he accidentally hit her with the kendo stick. Edwards was distraught as medical personal checked on his wife.

Knockouts Champion Allie defeated Su Yung (w/Braxton Sutter)

Sutter distracted Allie, which allowed Yung to gain the early advantage. Allie fought back and took over. Allie climbed up top but Sutter yanked her leg and pulled her off. Allie made a fiery comeback and ran wild. Allie hit the Best Superkick Ever but Sutter jumped on the apron. Allie knocked Sutter off the apron. Yung set up for the Panic Switch but Allie rolled her up to retain the title.

After the match, Yung was upset about the loss. Sutter got down on one knee and proposed to Yung. She spit the red mist in his eyes and applied the mandible claw.

Pentagon Jr. defeated Impact World Champion Austin Aries and Fenix in a Triple Threat match

Aries avoided a double superkick and escaped to the floor. Fenix nailed Aries with a kick and caught Pentagon with a rolling cutter. Fenix threw Aries to the floor but Aries adjusted and caught Pentagon with a hurricanrana. Fenix struggled to hit a twisting corkscrew cross body block to the floor.

Aries hit the drop kick in the corner and set up for the 450, but Pentagon shoved Aries to the floor. Pentagon hit a lung blower on Fenix for a close near fall. Fenix fought back and nailed a rolling springboard uppercut in the corner.

Pentagon hit the Pentagon Driver but Aries made the save. Aries hit the 450 splash on both guys for a two count. Pentagon and Fenix nailed Aries with a double superkick. Pentagon suckered in Fenix and nailed him with a superkick as well.

Pentagon hit a Gory Special and Package piledriver simultaneously on Aries and Fenix. Pentagon snapped Aries’s arm and hit the Pentagon Driver to win the Impact World Championship.

After the match, Pentagon and Fenix hugged as a shocked Aries watched from afar.

Impact Wrestling results: The Redemption go-home show

Previously: Impact World Champion Austin Aries defending against Pentagon Jr. and Fenix in a triple threat was announced as the new Redemption main event last week.

Tonight: It’s the final Impact before Redemption.

Su Yung & Braxton Sutter defeated Kiera Hogan & Fallah Bahh

Yung hit a dropkick to Bahh to gain the advantage. She then hit a flip dive off the apron on Bahh, but Hogan got the hot tag and ran wild. She took out Sutter with a tornado DDT. Yung hit the Panic Switch on Hogan for the win.

After the match, Allie ran down and jumped Yung. They brawled up the ramp.

– At the LAX Clubhouse, they discussed their title defense at Redemption. Konnan speculated that Scott Steiner might be too much for Eli Drake to handle.

– McKenzie Mitchell interviewed Jimmy Jacobs and Kongo Kong. Jacobs promised that Kong is going to defeat and disfigure Johnny Impact later tonight.

Flashback Moment of the Week: TNA World Champion Kurt Angle defeated Bobby Roode (from Bound For Glory 2011)

Angle set up for a moonsault off the top turnbuckle, but Roode caught him with a German suplex. Roode locked on the crossface before Angle countered into the ankle lock. Roode countered back into the crossface.

Angle hit the Angle Slam for a close near fall. Roode fired back and scored a very close near fall of his own with the fisherman’s suplex. Angle hit the Angle Slam and held the rope for the win.

– KM came out and issued an open challenge but wants to face guys like Brooklyn Brawler, Barry Horowitz or D-Ray 3000. This brought out Brian Cage, which is not what KM wanted.

Brian Cage defeated KM

Cage executed a deadlift superplex, an elbow off the top, and a discus lariat. He won using a version of the F-5.

Johnny Impact defeated Kongo Kong (w/ Jimmy Jacobs) by DQ

Kong used his weight and size advantage to gain control. Impact made a comeback after Kong missed a leg drop, hitting a standing Shooting Star Press for a near fall. 

Kong nailed Impact with a cannonball on the floor against the steel steps. Kong and Jacobs set up the steps on the apron. The referee tried to stop them, but Kong threw him into the guardrail. Kong then threw Impact face first into the steps like a dart. Impact’s nose and mouth were bloodied up.

Pentagon Jr. defeated Impact World Champion Austin Aries and Fenix in a non-title triple threat match (from Impact vs. Lucha Underground)

This was a non-title match and the main event from Impact vs. Lucha Underground two weeks ago from New Orleans. It was a last-minute change after Alberto El Patron no-showed.

Fenix sent Pentagon to the floor and attempted a dive, but Aries cut him off with a missile dropkick. Pentagon then attempted a dive, but Fenix nailed him with a rolling cutter.

Aries took Pentagon out with a suicide dive. Fenix followed with a springboard twisting dive to the floor. Pentagon and Fenix worked together and used a series of double-team moves on Aries.

Fenix and Pentagon traded stiff chops in the middle of the ring. Aries got involved and threw some chops, but Pentagon and Fenix worked together again and took him out with a double superkick.

Pentagon nailed Fenix with a pop-up flip powerbomb for a near fall. He then hit the Pentagon Driver on Fenix for the win.

– Eli Drake came out and bragged about having both the World Championship and Tag Team title shot briefcases. He pointed out that he could be on his way to winning all the gold in Impact.

LAX interrupted, demanding to know the identity of Drake’s partner to challenge for the titles. Drake then introduced his partner for Redemption, Scott Steiner. Steiner promised to defeat LAX and win the tag titles.

Konnan played mind games and asked Drake if he could trust Steiner to show up. He also wondered if Steiner still has it or not.

Flashback of the Week: Rosemary defeated Knockouts Champion Jade in Six Sides of Steel

They brawled around ringside before getting in the cage. Rosemary was firmly in control until Jade hit a top rope hurricanrana. Jade executed a crossbody block off the top of the cage, but Rosemary spit the mist in her eyes and hit the Red Wedding for the win.

Moose defeated Sami Callihan by DQ

Callihan took over after a lariat and a suicide dive. Moose fought back and powerbombed Callihan twice on the apron, then Callihan regained control after a low blow.

Moose made a comeback, hitting a pop-up powerbomb and a senton for a near fall. He hit the Go 2 Hell for another close two count. The finish came when Callihan hit Moose with the baseball bat for the disqualification.

After the match, OVE beat down Moose until Eddie Edwards ran out for the save. OVE overwhelmed Edwards and beat him down as well. Alisha Edwards ran out to protect her husband, with Callihan backing Alisha in the corner when the lights went off.

When the lights came back on, Tommy Dreamer was standing in the ring. He cleared the ring of the heels. At Redemption, Dreamer, Moose & Eddie Edwards take on OVE in a House of Hardcore match.

Petey Williams defeated Josh Mathews (w/ Matt Sydal) by DQ

Mathews stalled and pretended to stretch in the corner. Williams chased him around the ring and Mathews let out a high-pitched scream. Williams set up for the Canadian Destroyer, but Sydal interfered for the disqualification.

The heels beat down Williams after the match.

– Backstage, Johnny Impact had another confrontation with Jimmy Jacobs and Kongo Kong. They agreed to a match next week.

Tyrus, Fallah Bahh & Richard Justice defeated Trevor Lee, Caleb Konley & KM

The faces had the early advantage until the heels took over after a kick to Justice’s back. Tyrus got the tag and ran wild on the heels, and Bahh hit the Banzai Drop for the win.

Rosemary defeated Taya Valkyrie in Demon’s Dance

Valkyrie took over after dropping Rosemary stomach-first on the guardrail, then she hit double knees into a chair covering Rosemary. She also hit a chair with another chair that was placed between Rosemary’s legs.

Rosemary fought back and sent Valkyrie into a ladder that was set up in the corner, but Valkyrie regained control when Rosemary went head-first into a chair set up in another corner. She put Rosemary on a table and climbed to the top, but Rosemary cut her off.

The finish came as they fought on the top turnbuckle and Rosemary gave Valkyrie a piledriver through the table for the win.

– Highlights from Impact vs. Lucha Underground from last Friday in New Orleans aired. It focused on the Redemption press conference, the Impact vs. LU main event, and the aftermath. 

After brawling with Aries at the Redemption press conference last Friday, Alberto El Patron was shown leaving the event and promised to get revenge on Aries at Impact vs. LU that night.

After his House of Hardcore victory the next day, Aries mentioned Patron no-showing the night before at Impact vs. LU. He challenged Pentagon Jr. and Fenix to a rematch at Redemption, which is now the new main event.

Impact vs. Lucha Underground results: Aries vs. Pentagon vs. Fenix

– In collaboration with WrestleCon, Impact Wrestling vs. Lucha Underground took place in New Orleans tonight. The main event was supposed to be Austin Aries & Fenix vs. Alberto El Patron & Pentagon Jr., but Patron didn’t end up appearing on the show and it was changed to a triple threat. No explanation was given for Patron’s absence.

– Josh Mathews (Impact) and Matt Striker (LU) were the commentators for tonight.

Matanza defeated Moose, Matt Sydal, Caleb Konley, Jack Evans, and Chavo Guerrero Jr. in a six-way match

Moose and Matanza cleared the ring and squared off. Moose took out Matanza, but Guerrero caught Moose with a dropkick. Konley hit a suicide dive to the floor and Sydal followed up with a moonsault.

Evans hit a springboard moonsault to the floor, wiping out everyone. Evans hit a standing twisting moonsault on Sydal for a near fall. Moose ran wild but was cut off by Konley. Matanza threw Konley across the ring and hit the Wrath of the Gods for the win.

Knockouts Champion Allie defeated Taya Valkyrie to retain her title

Valkyrie took over after double knees to the back of the head. Allie fired up and hit a DDT for a near fall. She countered a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker from Valkyrie into a backstabber and followed up with the codebreaker to retain.

Scott Steiner & Teddy Hart defeated OVE (Dave & Jake Crist)

OVE gained control and isolated Hart on their side of the ring, but Steiner got the hot tag and ran wild. He hit a belly-to-belly suplex on Jake for a two count. Steiner caught Dave and threw him across the ring. He locked on the Steiner Recliner on Jake for the win.

King Cuerno, Drago & Aerostar defeated Andrew Everett, Dezmond Xavier & DJZ

DJZ wiped out Drago and Aerostar with a flip dive to the floor. Xavier followed up with a handspring back flip, and Aerostar hit a step-up springboard dive to the floor.

Cuerno set up for a dive, but Everett cut him off with a springboard dropkick. Everett hit a dive to the floor, taking everyone out. Aerostar hit an RKO on DJ Z for a close near fall. Cuerno locked on a reverse Indian deathlock on Everett for the submission victory.

Trevor Lee (w/ Caleb Konley) defeated Marty The Moth (w/ Famous B)

Lee hit a stacked-up powerbomb for a two count. Marty missed a moonsault, then Lee rolled him up with a handful of tights for the win.

Impact World Tag Team Champions LAX (Santana & Ortiz w/ Diamante) defeated Killshot & The Mack to retain their titles

LAX were firmly in control and isolated Killshot in their corner. Santana put him in a fireman’s carry, but Killshot countered into a double foot stomp.

Mack and Killshot hit a double foot stomp into a sit-out powerbomb for a very close near fall. The finish came when LAX used the Street Sweeper on Killshot for the win.

Brian Cage defeated Eli Drake

Drake took over after dropping Cage throat first on the rope. Cage missed a discus lariat and Drake caught him with a tilt-a-whirl slam. Drake attempted the Gravy Train, but Cage slipped out and pinned him for the win.

Jeremiah Crane (Sami Callihan) defeated Eddie Edwards in an I Quit match

Edwards hit a suicide dive to Crane as he entered the ring. Edwards gave him a fishermen’s buster on the ring apron. Edwards hit the Boston Knee Party with a chair, but Crane refused to quit. Crane gave Edwards a running Death Valley Driver through a chair that was upright.

Edwards fired back and powerbombed Crane through a guardrail in the corner. OVE ran out and distracted Edwards — and Crane jumped him from behind. Crane set up the chair on Edwards and teased hitting him with the bat, calling back to the spot that went wrong where Edwards got injured earlier this year.

Don Callis came out and threw in the towel to protect Edwards. Moose ran out with a chair and Crane ran off.

– McKenzie Mitchell announced that Fenix will take on Pentagon Jr. at Impact’s Redemption pay-per-view on April 22nd.

Pentagon Jr. defeated Austin Aries and Fenix in a triple threat match

The main event was changed to a triple threat match. There was no explanation given for Alberto El Patron’s absence.

Pentagon set up for a dive, but Fenix caught him with a rolling cutter. Aries took out Pentagon with a suicide dive, but Fenix followed up with a twisting crossbody to the floor. Fenix and Pentagon worked together and hit a series of double-team moves on Aries. 

Fenix and Pentagon traded stiff shots in the middle of the ring. Aries tried to get involved but was taken out by a double superkick. Pentagon caught Fenix with a back drop into a powerbomb. The finish came when Pentagon hit the Pentagon Driver on Fenix for the win.

Impact Wrestling results: Case vs. Case match

Previously: Austin Aries defeated Grand Champion Matt Sydal to win the championship.

Tonight: Moose takes on Eli Drake with both the World Championship and Tag Team title shot briefcases on the line.

– Bobby Lashley came down to the ring and called out Brian Cage. Cage entered and, as he posed on the apron, Lashley jumped him from behind. Their brief brawl suddenly turned into a match.

Brian Cage defeated Bobby Lashley

Lashley was firmly in control after kicking Cage low, but Cage fired back by hitting a German suplex and a Death Valley Driver for a near fall. Cage executed a massive deadlift superplex for a two count.

Cage missed a discus lariat and Lashley hit the spear for a near fall. Cage used a jumping knee and the Drill Claw for the win.

– A fired up Allie came down to the ring and called out Su Yung. As Yung posed on the apron, Allie jumped her from behind.

Knockouts Champion Allie defeated Su Yung by DQ

Allie had the early advantage until Yung quickly took over. Yung scored a near fall after hitting a hanging pedigree. She tried to use a kendo stick, but Allie caught her with a superkick.

Braxton Sutter ran down and distracted Allie, with Yung attacking Allie and the referee with the kendo stick.

– KM tricked Richard Justice to go to the ring. KM bullied Justice for his appearance, telling a series of fat jokes. KM jumped him until Fallah Bahh ran out for the save. Trevor Lee and Caleb Konley then came out to give the heels the advantage, but Tyrus appeared and cleared the ring of the heels.

Johnny Impact defeated Taiji Ishimori

They went back and forth early with neither guy getting the upper hand. Ishimori sent Impact to the floor and followed up with the Golden moonsault. Impact landed a standing Shooting Star Press for a near fall.

Ishimori used a huge hurricanrana for a very close two count. Impact made a comeback and hit the Starship Pain for the win.

After the match, Jimmy Jacobs and Kongo Kong entered to confront Impact. Kong gave him a vicious beatdown. Impact made his own comeback and took out Kong with a dive to the floor. 

– An in-depth video on Austin Aries vs. Alberto El Patron aired. It covered their careers in Impact and the many ups and downs they’ve had. El Patron briefly discussed his personal problems.

Flashback Moment of the Week: Jay Lethal defeated X Division Champion Kurt Angle (from No Surrender 2007)

Lethal had the brief advantage, but Angle took over after a buckle bomb. Lethal made a comeback and scored a near fall with an enzuigiri. Lethal hit the Randy Savage elbow for another near fall.

The finish came when Lethal countered the ankle lock into a pin for the victory.

Eli Drake defeated Moose in a Case vs. Case match

Moose had the edge as they brawled around ringside, but Drake took over after he sent Moose into the ring post. Moose came back with a buckle bomb and hesitation dropkick.

Moose attempted the Game Changer, but Drake ducked and Moose nailed the referee. OVE ran out and attacked Moose until Eddie Edwards made the save.

Drake used Sami Callihan’s baseball bat, only getting a two count. The finish came when Drake hit the Gravy Train on Moose to win the World Championship briefcase. Drake now has both a World Championship title shot and a Tag Team title shot.

Next Week: Rosemary takes on Taya Valkyrie in a Demon’s Dance match. Also, Josh Mathews goes one-on-one with Petey Williams.

Previously: Ethan Carter III made his final appearance on Impact after picking the fired briefcase in the Feast or Fired reveal.

Tonight: Impact World Champion Austin Aries takes on X Division/Grand Champion Matt Sydal. Plus, Brian Cage meets Bobby Lashley.

– Earlier in the week, Austin Aries ran into Matt Sydal and Josh Mathews. Aries challenged Sydal to a match. He promised to put the Impact World Championship on the line if Sydal agreed to put Mathews’ Grand Championship up for grabs as well.

Petey Williams defeated Rohit Raju, Suicide, and Taiji Ishimori

Raju hit a suicide dive to the floor on Williams and Suicide. Ishimori followed up with the Golden moonsault to the floor, then all four guys rolled each other up and traded near falls.

Ishimori scored a very close near fall after hitting the 450, but Williams hit the Canadian Destroyer on Raju for the win. After the match, Williams announced he’s cashing in his Feast or Fired X Division title shot at Redemption.

– Eddie Edwards got into his car and drove to Ohio in search of OVE.

Su Yung defeated Amber Nova

Braxton Sutter did the ring introduction for Yung. She jumped Nova, dominated the match, and picked up the easy win after hitting the Panic Switch.

– McKenzie Mitchell interviewed Johnny Impact before Jimmy Jacobs interrupted. Jacobs promised to have a surprise for Impact.

– Backstage, Taya Valkyrie bragged about defeating Rosemary. Rosemary was on top of the indoor offices following Valkyrie, with her and Valkyrie having a wild brawl in the back. A bunch of people tried to separate them but failed. Rosemary dove off the top of the offices onto Valkyrie and the other guys.

KM defeated Fallah Bahh (from WrestlePro in Brooklyn)

Bahh was firmly in control until KM took over. Bahh made a comeback after hitting the Samoan drop, but he missed the Banzai Drop and KM rolled him up with his feet on the ropes.

Brian Cage defeated Bobby Lashley

They traded moves early on, including both hitting step-up hurricanranas. Lashley gained the upper hand and took over. Cage fired back and hit a huge flip dive to the floor.

They exchanged stiff shots in the middle of the ring. Lashley regained control of the match and wore down Cage, but Cage made a comeback and hit a springboard tornado DDT. Lashley hit the spear, but Cage rolled to the floor. The finish came when Cage hit the discus lariat for the win.

– In the back, Allie approached Gail Kim and asked for advice on how to deal with Yung. Kim motivated Allie to stand up to her.

Flashback Moment of the Week: AJ Styles defeated Petey Williams and Chris Sabin in Ultimate X

Williams set up for the reverse DDT on Sabin, but Styles hit the moonsault into the reverse DDT on Williams — taking out both. Styles climbed across the cables, but Sabin nailed him with a dropkick that knocked him off.

Sabin and Williams fought over the belt in the middle when Styles springboarded across the ring and grabbed the belt out of their hands for the win.

– In the back, Eli Drake approached Moose and attempted to switch briefcases. Moose turned him down and challenged him to a briefcase vs. briefcase match.

– In Ohio, Edwards invaded a Rockstar Pro Wrestling show and attacked a bunch of guys with a kendo stick. Edwards brawled with Sami Callihan and OVE. They hit Edwards with a bat and a version of the Meltzer Driver.

Impact World Champion Austin Aries defeated Grand Champion Matt Sydal (w/ Josh Mathews) in a title vs. title match

Alberto El Patron watched this match in the back while eating a steak. Aries was firmly in control early on. He attempted a suicide dive, but Sydal cut him off with a spinning heel kick.

Sydal attempted a standing moonsault, but Aries got his knees up. They traded stiff shots in the middle of the ring. Sydal scored a two count with a sliding German suplex. Aries attempted a suicide dive again, but Mathews grabbed his legs.

Mathews tried interfering again until Petey Williams ran down and held him off. Sydal missed the Shooting Star Press and Aries connected with the discus forearm. Aries then hit the brainbuster to win the Grand Championship.

Next Week: Moose takes on Eli Drake in a World title shot briefcase vs. World Tag Team title shot briefcase match.

– Alberto El Patron came down to the ring and said he’s here for a fight. Patron started to leave, but Austin Aries interrupted. Aries mentioned that they come from different places but are similar. Patron said they both have something to prove.

Patron told Aries to enjoy the title and kiss it — because it’s coming to him. Patron then told people in the back to play Aries’ music. Patron tried to leave again, but Aries stopped him. Aries pointed out that his music should be played last. However, he then told them to play Patron’s music because this will be the only time it’ll be played last.

– Josh Mathews and Sonjay Dutt ran down the card for tonight. Mathews pointed out that he’s the new Grand Champion and will be in Matt Sydal’s corner later.

Trevor Lee (w/ Caleb Konley) defeated Fallah Bahh

Bahh was in control early until Lee gained the advantage when Konley interfered. Bahh steamrolled over both guys. He set up for the Banzai Drop, but Konley interfered again and Lee rolled up Bahh.

– Sami Callihan stalked Alisha Edwards in her hotel and followed her to her room. He convinced the maid to let him in the room. Eddie Edwards was at the Impact Zone and saw this on the monitors. He ran out immediately.

X Division Champion Matt Sydal (w/ Josh Mathews) defeated Rohit Raju to retain his title

Sydal gained the advantage after hitting a spinning heel kick. Raju made a comeback with a flurry of offense. He attempted a superplex, but Sydal countered into the sunset flip powerbomb. Sydal hit the Shooting Star Press for the win.

Knockouts Champion Allie defeated Sienna to retain her title

Sienna jumped Allie to start the match and was firmly in control early on. Allie fought back and hit the codebreaker for a two count. Sienna attempted the AK-47, but Allie slipped out the back and hit the superkick for the win.

After the match, Braxton Sutter came down to the ring and tried to make up with Allie but accidentally called her “Laurel.” Sutter proposed — but Allie rejected him.

Su Yung made her Impact debut and jumped Allie from behind. She gave Allie a vicious beatdown.

– In the back, McKenzie Mitchell interviewed Ethan Carter III about the reveal later. A bunch of guys including Moose, Johnny Impact, and Bobby Lashley walked by and all said they hope he gets fired.

Flashback Moment of the Week: Abyss defeated Mick Foley In a Monster’s Ball match (Dr. Stevie Richards was the special guest referee)

Foley sandwiched Abyss between two barbwire boards and scored a near fall. Abyss then chokeslammed Daffney through a barbwire board, gave Richards the Black Hole Slam on the thumbtacks, and chokeslammed Foley through another barbwire board for the win.

– Eddie Edwards arrived at the hotel and ran to his wife’s room. He ran past the maid on the way to the room. He entered and found his wife sleeping. He searched around but didn’t find anything.

He left the room and bumped into the maid again, but it was actually Callihan in disguise. They brawled in the hallway until OVE jumped Edwards. Alisha threatened to call the cops.

Kongo Kong (w/ Jimmy Jacobs) defeated Abyss (w/ Father James Mitchell) in a Monster’s Ball match

Kong gained control after tackling Abyss through a table on the floor. He went up to the top for his splash, but Abyss threw him off. Abyss brought in the thumbtacks, but Jacobs interfered with a kendo stick.

Abyss attempted to chokeslam Jacobs on the thumbtacks, but Kong made the save and chokeslammed Abyss on the tacks instead. Abyss fought back and powerbombed Kong through a table for a near fall.

Abyss tried to hit Kong with Janice, but Kong chokeslammed him on a barbwire board. Kong hit the splash off the top onto Abyss (who was still on the board) for the win.

– Jeremy Borash hosted the reveal for the Feast or Fired briefcases. Eli Drake went first and revealed a Tag Team title shot. He was disappointed that it wasn’t the World title and threw the case out of the ring. Petey Williams went next and revealed an X-Division title shot.

Ethan Carter III and Moose both opened their briefcases at the same time. Moose revealed a World title shot. EC3 was so shocked he was frozen and didn’t open his case. He denied the case was his and refused to open it.

Borash opened the case, revealing that EC3 is fired from Impact. EC3 assumed it was a joke and mentioned all of his accomplishments. He brought up being a Carter and screamed that he’s Dixie Carter’s nephew.

EC3 changed his tone and acted humble. He tried to leave on good terms, but he suddenly attacked Borash with the case. This brought out Brian Cage, who attacked EC3 and gave him the Drill Claw.

Sami Callihan (w/ OVE) defeated Fallah Bahh

Callihan took over after biting the bottom of Bahh’s foot, causing him to lose his balance. Bahh made a comeback and attempted the banzai drop. Callihan superkicked Bahh’s legs and executed a Death Valley Driver for the win.

After the match, Callihan tried to hit Bahh with the baseball bat like he did to Eddie Edwards a few weeks ago. Edwards ran out for the save with a lead pipe.

Flashback Moment of the Week: Feast or Fired (Final Resolution 2008)

Hernandez, Curry Man, Homicide, and Jay Lethal all pulled down briefcases. The match also included Alex Shelley, Consequences Creed, Chris Sabin, B.G. James, Cute Kip, Lance Rock, Jimmy Rave, Shark Boy, and Sonjay Dutt.

– Impact World Champion Austin Aries sat down with McKenzie Mitchell for an exclusive interview. They discussed Aries’s new book “Food Fight” and his vegan lifestyle.

Alberto El Patron interrupted and asked to speak with Aries alone. Patron mentioned that he rules Impact and Aries is his guest. Patron had a surprise for Aries and brought him wine and a steak. He offered him some steak, but Aries ate a banana instead. Patron insisted that he try some, but an irritated Aries reminded him that he doesn’t eat meat.

An angry Patron promised to purchase Aries’ book, but Aries gave him a free copy because he’s making the champion’s purse now. Patron finally left and Aries drank a glass of wine.

– In the back, Kiera Hogan approached Allie and congratulated her on winning the Knockouts Championship last week. Braxton Sutter showed up to talk, but Allie needed some time alone.

– Jimmy Jacobs and Kongo Kong came down to the ring and demanded that Abyss show himself. Father James Mitchell interrupted, making his return to Impact.

Mitchell has been watching Jacobs from afar and said he reminds him of himself. Mitchell said he pushed Abyss so hard that his personality split into Joseph Park, and in the end he lost his monster. Mitchell then thanked Jacobs because he has his monster back. Abyss made his return and brawled with Kongo Kong.

Taya Valkyrie vs. Rosemary ended in a double countout

Rosemary was firmly in control until she went for a sunset flip and Valkyrie countered into a double foot stomp. Rosemary attempted the Upside Down, but Valkyrie threw her to the ground.

Rosemary made a comeback after Valkyrie missed a moonsault. She clotheslined Valkyrie over the top rope to the floor, with the match ending when both were counted out. They brawled after the match and Valkyrie gave Rosemary the Road to Valhalla on the ramp.

– In the back, Eli Drake finally got through to Chris Adonis. Adonis decided not to show up because he doesn’t want to risk getting fired. Drake fired Adonis for no-showing.

– Earlier today in the Impact Zone, Bobby Lashley approached Brian Cage as he ate. Lashley was upset with Cage and got in his face, but Cage simply walked away.

– At the LAX Clubhouse, Konnan, Ortiz, and Santana played a game of dominos when Homicide showed up with a briefcase of money.

– X Division and Grand Champion Matt Sydal came out to introduce his spiritual advisor, Josh Mathews. Mathews left commentary and headed to the ring. On commentary, Sonjay Dutt was completely shocked that it was Mathews.

Mathews praised Sydal for his accomplishments and gave him a gift, which was a mask of his sprit animal. Sydal was so flattered that he gave Matthews the Grand Championship. Dutt became so upset that he left commentary but eventually returned.

Dutt called the first half of the main event solo. Midway through the match, Mathews returned to commentary.

Petey Williams, Moose, Ethan Carter III, and Eli Drake won briefcases in Feast or Fired

The participants included: Ethan Carter III, Moose, Tyrus, Trevor Lee, Caleb Konley, Rohit Raju, Petey Williams, Taiji Ishimori, KM, and Eli Drake.

Everyone brawled around ringside. Ishimori hit the golden moonsault to the floor, then Williams took out Konley with the Canadian Destroyer. Williams pulled down briefcase two.

EC3 teased a dive to the floor but instead climbed up a corner. Moose shoved him off and pulled down briefcase four. Tyrus almost had a briefcase, but EC3 snuck up and gave him a low blow. EC3 then pulled down briefcase three.

Lee had the final briefcase in hand, but Drake ran up to the top turnbuckle and gave him an insane looking German suplex. Drake then pulled down briefcase one.

Next Week: Abyss takes on Kongo Kong in Monster’s Ball. Knockouts Champion Allie defends against Sienna. Plus, the Feast or Fired reveal and somebody will be fired.

Tyrus defeated Ethan Carter III

Tyrus was firmly in control and nothing EC3 did hurt him. EC3 kept stalling by going to the floor and finally gained the advantage and knocked Tyrus down.

Tyrus made a comeback and used the Tongan Death Grip slam for the win.

– Backstage, Sami Callihan promised to defeat Eddie Edwards later in the main event.

El Hijo Del Fantasma defeated Braxton Sutter

Fantasma was on fire early until Sutter cut him off. Fantasma fought back and hit a suicide dive, then Sutter scored a near fall with his feet on the ropes. Fantasma hit the Thrill of the Hunt for the win.

After the match, Sutter cut a heel promo and pointed out that Allie wasn’t there because she ruins lives. He claimed he’s the biggest star in the company but didn’t even get an entrance tonight.

Brian Cage came down to the ring and beat down Sutter. Cage then gave him the Drill Claw.

– McKenzie Mitchell interviewed Matt Sydal before Taiji Ishimori interrupted. He challenged Sydal to put the Grand Championship on the line next week against his X Division Championship.

Kongo Kong (w/ Jimmy Jacobs) defeated Joseph Park

Kong completely dominated Park and won easily with a splash off the top.

Following the match, Jacobs asked one more time for Abyss. Kong choked out Park with a scarf. Jacobs told Park they’re just getting started.

– Caleb Konley threw a party, but Trevor Lee wasn’t impressed. They celebrated stealing LAX’s bandanas. The only guests were the Mumbai Cats, with Lee apologizing for attacking them a few weeks ago.

Konnan approached and mocked the heels. The Cats removed their masks to reveal Santana and Ortiz. They beat down Lee and Konley and threw them in a pool.

Rosemary defeated Hania

Hania was briefly in control before Rosemary gained the advantage. Rosemary used the upside down, a missile drop kick, and a spear. She then hit the Red Wedding for the win.

Rosemary promised to win the Knockouts Championship. The returning Taya Valkyrie interrupted her. Valkyrie attacked Rosemary from behind and beat her down, giving Rosemary the Road to Valhalla on the ramp.

Flashback Moment of the Week: Eddie Edwards defeated Bobby Lashley to win the TNA World Heavyweight Championship

The story of the match was that Lashley had picked Edwards because he wanted the easy win. Edwards hit two suicide dives, but he missed the third and crashed hard into the guardrail.

Lashley attempted the spear, but Edwards countered with the Boston Knee Party to win the championship.

– Laurel Van Ness had a commitment ceremony with the Knockouts Championship. KM was the minister and the belt had a blue bow tie. KM asked if anyone had any objections — and Braxton Sutter came out in a neck brace.

Sutter told Van Ness that he made a mistake by picking Allie. He tried to propose to Van Ness, but she kicked him out of the ring. Van Ness made KM ask if anyone had any objections again. Allie snuck up from behind in a disguise and jumped her.

Eddie Edwards defeated Sami Callihan (w/ OVE)

They started out hitting each other with suicide dives. Edwards had the upper hand as they brawled around ringside. OVE tried interfering, but the referee sent them to the back. Callihan took advantage and kicked Edwards in the face.

Edwards made a brief comeback until Callihan gave him a piledriver on the apron. Edwards made a fiery comeback and executed a superplex. They exchanged stiff shots in the middle of the ring, then Edwards rolled up Callihan for the win.

After the match, Callihan grabbed his baseball bat but Edwards tried fighting back. OVE jumped Bobby Lashley in the back.

Callihan placed a chair on Edwards and hit the chair with the bat, but it ricocheted and hit Edwards in the face. Edwards was injured and rolled out of the ring.

Trevor Lee & Caleb Konley defeated Impact Tag Team Champions LAX in a non-title match

All four guys brawled around ringside before the bell rang, then LAX worked over Konley and kept him on their side of the ring. The heels took over and isolated Ortiz.

Santana got the hot tag and ran wild. LAX set up for the Street Sweeper, but Konley shoved Santana off the top rope and Lee rolled up Ortiz with a handful of tights for the victory.

Brian Cage defeated Hunter Law

This was a total squash match with Cage completely dominating. He won easily with the Drill Claw.

Grand Champion Matt Sydal defeated Petey Williams to retain his title (from Destiny Wrestling in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada)

Sydal scored a near fall with a sliding German suplex. Williams set up for the Canadian Destroyer, but Sydal rolled through and Williams countered into the Sharpshooter. Williams attempted the Destroyer again, but Sydal countered into a pin to retain.

After the match, Sydal read a proclamation from his spiritual advisor that said Sydal will challenge X Division Champion Taiji Ishimori at Crossroads.

– Jimmy Jacobs and Kongo Kong came down to the ring to call out Abyss, but Joseph Park’s grandma Jenny came out to confront the heels. She told Jacobs to stop harassing her grandson. Jenny slapped Jacobs, then Kong started to approach her.

Joseph Park came out and got in Jacobs’ face. Jacobs demanded to see Abyss, but Park said he’s buried. Jacobs threatened Jenny and Park went after Jacobs. Kong attacked Park from behind and beat him down.

– In the back, Sydal was on the phone with his spiritual advisor. He promised to win the X Division Championship and become a dual champion.

Flashback Moment of the Week: X Division Champion Eddie Edwards vs. TNA World Heavyweight Championship Bobby Lashley ended with no winner (from Destination X 2016)

Lashley tried to hit Edwards with the belt, but Davey Richards jumped in. Edwards had the match won until Mike Bennett broke up the pin. Moose then made his Impact debut by attacking The Wolves and Lashley.

Alberto El Patron defeated Moose (from Future Stars of Wrestling in Las Vegas, Nevada)

This was an anything goes, no disqualification match. They brawled around ringside, with El Patron backdropping Moose over the guardrail. They fought through the crowd, then El Patron sent Moose outside through a door.

El Patron came off the top with a trash can for a near fall. Moose made a comeback and scored a two count. The finish came when El Patron used the double foot stomp off the top turnbuckle for the win.

Eddie Edwards & Bobby Lashley defeated OVE (w/ Sami Callihan)

The faces had the early advantage until the heels took over. OVE isolated Edwards on their side of the ring before Lashley got the hot tag and ran wild. He scored a close near fall with a powerslam. Edwards took out OVE with a suicide dive.

Edwards set up for his finisher, but Callihan grabbed his leg. Lashley speared Callihan on the floor and Edwards hit the Boston Knee Party on Jake for the win.

Johnny Impact defeated Ethan Carter III (w/ Tyrus) in a number one contender’s match

Impact attempted a springboard, but EC3 shoved him to the floor to gain control. EC3 nailed Impact with a DDT, but Impact jumped right up to his feet and rocked him with a superkick.

Impact hit a knee and a standing Shooting Star Press for a two count. He then hit a standing Spanish Fly for another near fall. EC3 hit a super TK3 for a close near fall. Impact attempted the Starship Pain, but Tyrus grabbed his legs. EC3 hit the One Percenter for a two count.

EC3 started yelling at Tyrus at ringside and slapped him, with Tyrus shoving EC3 to the floor and walking off. Impact took advantage and hit the Starship Pain for the win. Impact is still the number one contender.

Following the match, Impact World Champion Austin Aries came out and had a staredown with Impact.

Next Week: Eddie Edwards goes one-on-one with Sami Callihan. In two weeks at Crossroads, Impact World Champion Austin Aries defends against Johnny Impact.

OVE interfered to give Callihan the early advantage. They fought on the floor at ringside for most of the match. Callihan kicked Lashley in the face, but it just fired him up. Lashley hit the spear, but OVE jumped in for the disqualification.

OVE continued the beatdown until Eddie Edwards ran out for the save.

– At the LAX Clubhouse, LAX played a game of dominos. Konnan is sending Homicide to Mexico City to expand business. Ortiz and Santana will take care of Trevor Lee and Caleb Konley.

– In the flashback moment of the week, Braxton Sutter left Laurel Van Ness at the altar for bridesmaid Allie almost a year ago. This resulted in Van Ness’ breakdown. Maria Kanellis, Mike Bennett, Aron Rex, Sienna, and Rockstar Spud were all in attendance.

– Allie arrived at the Impact Zone and found a suspicious note from her secret admirer on her luggage. It told her to meet them at tunnel 22.

– Backstage, Alberto El Patron attacked Moose for costing him the fatal four-way last week.

Rosemary defeated Hania

Rosemary was in control until she missed a charge in the corner. Hania scored a near fall with a spin kick, but Rosemary countered a crossbody into a pin for the win.

Hania attacked Rosemary after the match, but Rosemary made a comeback and Hania ran off.

– Allie arrived at stage 22 and found a box of chocolates addressed to her. Laurel Van Ness jumped out of a large box, but Allie nailed her with the box of chocolates and stuffed her back in.

Ethan Carter III & Tyrus defeated Johnny Impact & Matt Sydal

The faces were firmly in control until Tyrus took over with a headbutt, then the heels isolated Sydal on their side of the ring. Impact got the hot tag and ran wild.

Sydal attempted a dive to the floor, but Tyrus caught him and rammed him in the apron. Impact set up for the Impact Kick on EC3, but Tyrus grabbed his legs and Impact hit the mat hard. EC3 rolled up Impact for the win.

– Jimmy Jacobs and Kongo Kong went to Joseph Park’s empty law office. Kong trashed the office and smashed a picture of Grandma Park.

Brian Cage defeated Jon Cruz

Cage dominated his debut match and picked up the easy win.

– Trevor Lee and Caleb Konley searched for LAX but instead found Fallah Bahh eating M&M’s. They then jumped the Mumbai Cats and beat them down.

X Division Champion Taiji Ishimori defeated El Hijo Del Fantasma to retain his title

Fantasma wore down Ishimori until he made a comeback and hit a dive to the floor.

Fantasma came back and hit a suicide dive of his own. Ishimori connected with the golden moonsault to the floor. Fantasma attempted the tombstone piledriver, but Ishimori countered into the double knees. Ishimori hit a 450 to retain the X Division title.

Impact World Champion Austin Aries defeated Eli Drake (w/ Chris Adonis) to retain his title

Aries had the advantage before Drake nailed him with a boot to the face. Drake then missed a huge moonsault, and they traded stiff shots in the middle of the ring. Aries scored a close near fall with a missile dropkick.

Aries attempted a dive, but he hit Adonis instead. Drake took over after dropping Aries on the apron. Aries made a comeback and hit the brainbuster to retain the Impact World Championship.

Next Week: Johnny Impact defends his World Championship title shot against Ethan Carter III. Plus, Alberto El Patron battles Moose.

Taiji Ishimori & Matt Sydal defeated El Hijo Del Fantasma & Rohit Raju

Rohit Raju, formerly Hakim Zane, is a member of Gama Singh’s new faction named Desi Hit Squad.

Raju took out Sydal with a suicide dive. Ishimori hit a moonsault to the floor on Fantasma. Ishimori hit the tombstone into the double knees on Raju, and Sydal connected with the Shooting Star Press for the win.

– Last week, Austin Aries held a press conference after defeating Eli Drake to win the Impact World Championship. He said that he isn’t a member of the roster and hasn’t signed his Impact contract yet. Drake charged in and demanded a rematch.

Flashback Moment of the Week: Austin Aries defeated TNA World Champion Bobby Roode (Destination X 2012)

Roode attempted a spear, but Aries countered it into the Last Chancery. Roode shoved Aries into the referee and hit Aries with the belt, but he only scored a two count. Aries kicked Roode in the head and used the brainbuster for the win.

Trevor Lee & Caleb Konley defeated TECH

Lee and Konley wore LAX’s bandanas and mocked them throughout the match. TECH made a brief comeback, but the heels won using the spike piledriver.

LAX appeared on the big screen and promised to get revenge for Lee and Konley’s attack last week.

– Backstage, Allie congratulated Kiera Hogan on her victory against Laurel Van Ness from last Thursday. She promised to watch Hogan’s back tonight.

Allie received a Valentine’s Day card from her secret admirer, who asked to meet her next week

Knockouts Champion Laurel Van Ness defeated Kiera Hogan to retain her title

Van Ness was in firm control of the match. She attempted the Unprettier, but Hogan countered into a roll-up for a near fall. Van Ness regained control and used the Unprettier to score the win.

Van Ness attacked Hogan after until Allie ran out for the save.

– OVE filmed an unknowing Bobby Lashley as he exited his car in a parking lot.

– Backstage, Jimmy Jacobs and Kongo Kong were frustrated that Joseph Park didn’t bring Abyss. Jacobs said they’d drag the monster out of him.

– OVE continued to film Lashley. They viciously attacked him and threw him into the trunk of his own car.

Hania defeated Amber Nova

Hania controlled most of this, though Nova had a brief flurry of offense. Hania used a powerbomb and the reverse DDT for the win.

Rosemary jumped Hania from behind following the match. She attempted the Red Wedding until Hania escaped.

Johnny Impact defeated Ethan Carter III, Moose, and Alberto El Patron in an Impact World Championship number one contender’s match

The heels briefly worked together to take out Moose and Impact. Patron turned on EC3 and they started going at it. All four guys traded shots in the middle of the ring.

Patron and Moose fought into the crowd, with Moose injuring his knee and getting checked on by medical personnel.

Patron, EC3, and Impact fought into the crowd. Patron stuffed Impact into a trash can. EC3 and Patron worked together and double-teamed Impact. Moose ran back in and powerbombed EC3. Moose and Patron then fought on the floor.

EC3 attempted the One Percenter on Impact, but he rolled EC3 up for the win.

Grand Champion Matt Sydal defeated Fallah Bahh to retain his title

Prior to the match, Sydal mentioned that he has a spiritual advisor that has been guiding him.

Sydal was in control early, but Bahh used his size to take over. Sydal fought back and worked over Bahh’s leg. Bahh attempted the Banzai drop, but Sydal kicked him to the floor. Bahh missed a second Banzai drop and Sydal hit the Shooting Star Press to retain the title.

– Backstage, Caleb Konley was concerned that Trevor Lee is no longer the X Division Champion — but Lee told him he has a gameplan in place.

Bobby Lashley defeated KM

KM gained the advantage after Lashley missed a charge in the corner. Lashley made a fiery comeback and hit the spear to win the match.

– In the back, Joseph Park was on the phone with his grandma when Jimmy Jacobs and Kongo Kong approached. Jacobs wants Abyss to show up next week.

– Backstage, Bobby Lashley announced that he’ll continue to focus on both mixed martial arts and pro wrestling. He had a brief interaction with Eddie Edwards.

Kiera Hogan defeated Knockouts Champion Laurel Van Ness in a non-title match

Van Ness was in control early until Hogan made a brief comeback. Van Ness used a curb stomp and set up for the Unprettier when Allie came out. Van Ness was distracted and Hogan rolled her up for the surprise win.

– LAX came out and mentioned defeating OVE in Barbwire Massacre III. This brought OVE to the ring. Sami Callihan said they hate everything but respect LAX.

Callihan promised they were coming for the tag belts, but he said they have bigger fish to fry for now and OVE walked away. Suddenly, Konley and Trevor Lee jumped LAX from behind and stole their flags.

– Eli Drake and Chris Adonis discussed the upcoming Facts of Eli Drake’s Life celebration backstage. Drake asked about the mystery person, but Adonis didn’t know what he was talking about.

Moose & Johnny Impact defeated Alberto El Patron & Ethan Carter III

After the faces had the advantage, El Patron distracted Moose and the heels took over. Impact scored a near fall after hitting Starship Pain as EC3 broke up the pin.

The heels isolated Impact on their side of the ring. Moose got the hot tag and ran wild, then scored a near fall with a hesitation dropkick. El Patron hit the double foot stomp on Impact, but Moose rocked Patron with a clothesline for the win.

– Chris Adonis and Eli Drake came out for the Facts of Eli Drake’s Life celebration. Adonis called Drake the greatest champion that ever lived, the greatest dresser that ever lived, and the greatest friend that ever lived. Drake called himself the greatest man that ever lived.

This brought out the returning Austin Aries. Aries pointed out that he is the greatest man that ever lived. Aries challenged Drake to a match — but Drake refused. Adonis jumped Aries from behind and Drake accepted the challenge.

Austin Aries defeated Eli Drake to win the Impact World Championship

Both guys wrestled in their street clothes. Drake scored a two count, then Aries made a comeback. Aries used a dropkick in the corner and hit a brainbuster to win the Impact World Championship.

Matt Sydal defeated Ethan Carter III to win the Grand Championship

The rounds and judges have been dropped. Sydal attempted a standing moonsault, but EC3 got his knees up to take over. Sydal attempted a super hurricanrana, but EC3 slipped out and Sydal took a nasty fall hitting the turnbuckle on the way down.

The finish came when Sydal countered a super TK3 attempt into a powerbomb and hit the Shooting Star Press to win the Grand Championship.

Flashback Moment of the Week: America’s Most Wanted defeated XXX In Six Sides of Steel

James Storm powerbombed Elix Skipper off the top of the cage for a close near fall. Christopher Daniels and Chris Harris fought on the top of the cage when Skipper tightrope walked across the top and connected with a hurricanrana on Harris.

AMW used XXX’s own finisher to score the win.

Knockouts Champion Laurel Van Ness defeated Allie to retain her title

Allie was in control as they brawled around ringside, then Van Ness took over with a boot to the face. Allie made a fiery comeback and scored a close near fall with a suplex in the corner.

Allie accidently elbowed the referee, which gave Van Ness the chance to use the Knockouts belt for the win.

Moose defeated Bobby Lashley (w/ Dan Lambert and KM)

KM interfered to give Lashley the advantage, but Lashley was unhappy KM helped. They argued at ringside until Lambert broke it up.

KM tried to put a table in the ring, but Lashley stopped him and told him not to help. Lashley used a hurricanrana and a spear for a near fall. Lashley collided with KM and Moose hit the Game Changer for the win.

After the match, Lambert blamed Lashley for the loss and slapped him. Lashley speared KM and tossed Lambert in the ring. Moose booted Lambert in the face and Lashley speared Lambert through a table. Lashley and Moose shook hands.

X Division Champion Taiji Ishimori defeated Andrew Everett to retain his title (from Pro Wrestling NOAH in Japan)

Everett got a near fall with a perfect looking springboard moonsault. He went for a Shooting Star Press, but Ishimori got his knees up.

Everett made a brief comeback, but Ishimori caught him with a knee and hit the 450 splash to retain the title.

Impact World Heavyweight Champion Eli Drake (w/ Chris Adonis) defeated Johnny Impact and Alberto El Patron in Six Sides of Steel to retain his title

Drake and Patron worked together and sent Impact head-first into the cage. Patron and Drake both tried to escape but failed. Drake took over after a double low blow.

Patron hit the double foot stomp while Impact was in a tree of woe. All three guys tried to escape and fought on the top rope. Impact knocked off Drake and Patron — but instead of escaping, he dove off the top of the cage onto the heels.

Drake tried to climb until Impact stopped him. Patron tried to leave through the door, but Impact stopped him too. Drake was left dangling on the top of the cage. Patron attempted to leave through the door again, but Adonis slammed the door in his face.

Drake and Impact both climbed out of the cage, but Adonis caught Impact and prevented his feet from hitting the floor, which allowed Drake to win.

Next Week: Josh Mathews noted that Impact is going to look a bit different.
