Tasha Steelz wins Ultimate X match at Impact Hard to Kill

Tasha Steelz has won the first ever women’s Ultimate X match.

At tonight’s Impact Hard to Kill, Steelz defeated Chelsea Green, Jordynne Grace, Alisha Edwards, Rosemary, and Lady Frost to earn a future shot at the Knockouts Championship currently held by Mickie James. The finish had Grace and Steelz climbing toward the X, struggling to gain possession. Steelz was able to get it, falling to the floor to officially win the match.

In a promo that aired later, Steelz said that it didn’t matter if it was Deonna Purrazzo or James, whoever ends up the Knockouts Champion will have a date on the wrong side of the street with her.

The X Division match had plenty of high spots. At one point, Edwards climbed toward the X and attempted to grab it, only for Rosemary to connect with a spear. At another point in the match, Lady Frost connected with a giant moonsault to the floor that took out most of the competitors.

Steelz, who joined Impact in 2020, initially formed a tag team with Kiera Hogan known as Fire ‘N’ Flava. When Hogan left the company, Savannah Evans joined forces with Steelz.

Purrazzo-Apache set for title vs. title match at AAA Triplemania

Impact Knockouts Champion Deonna Purrazzo will face AAA Reina de Reinas champion Faby Apache in a title vs. title match for TripleMania.

At tonight’s AAA Rey de Reyes event, Apache won the vacant Reina de Reinas title for a fourth time, a new record for her and the title. Purrazzo, who appeared on the show as a surprise, did commentary for the six-way match. Once it ended, Purrazzo issued the challenge to Apache, saying that she was friends with Konnan, and he told her that if she appeared tonight, she could challenge for the title. Faby eventually accepted the match once Purrazzo mentioned Triplemania. Purrazzo then attacked Apache, applying an armbar then powerbombing her twice.

Apache defeated Chik Tormenta, Lady Shani, Flammer, Maravilla, and a new Sexy Star (not Dulce Garcia) to win the championship. The previous champion, Taya Valkyrie, vacated the title after signing with the WWE earlier this year.

Another challenge issued for tonight’s show had Andrade challenging Kenny Omega for the AAA Mega title, also for Triplemania, which currently doesn’t have a date.
