WOL: It’s time to call out TNA Wrestling on their bullsh*t

It’s the Sunday edition of Wrestling Observer Live with Josh Nason, filling in for Andrew Zarian.

Last Thursday saw Mike Santana lose his TNA World title after just a month in a time period in which the company held no shows — a mind-boggling decision that was roundly panned after it happened.

This is part of a pattern of TNA missing the mark on babyface champions that dates back to Josh Alexander, continued with Joe Hendry and then continued with Santana. He provides some insights and receipts, and also addresses a well-known fan being thrown out of Saturday’s TV taping.

He also does a quick hit recap of AEW Collision as they head into a big week before Full Gear.

A grab bag segment features thoughts on CM Punk, Bob Caudle, Marina Shafir, Hendry, AJ Styles and more.

Legendary broadcaster Bob Caudle passes away

Bob Caudle has passed away.

News of the legendary broadcasterโ€™s passing was revealed on Sunday by his son Mike, who noted that he passed away in his sleep. He was 95 years old.

Caudle lost his wife earlier this year. Jackie Caudle passed away on April 24, not long after the couple celebrated their 76th wedding anniversary. They leave behind three children, seven grandchildren, and twelve great-grandchildren.

In the wake of the news, several personalities from around the world of wrestling have been paying tribute to Caudle online.

Ric Flair wrote, “Bob Caudle Was A Great Friend, And Someone Who Helped Me Develop My Interview Skills. You Were A Great Man Bob, And You Will Be Remembered Forever As One Of The Greatest Announcers Of All Time. I Cherish All The Time That I Got To Spend With You. Rest In Peace My Dear Friend!”

The NWA wrote, “Throughout the โ€˜70s and well into the 1980s and beyond, Bob left an indelible mark on the NWA, its programming, and fans. His was the signature voice of countless NWA broadcasts and pay-per-views during a decades-long career. The NWA sends its most sincere condolences to Bobโ€™s friends, family, and fans. As the broadcast legend said to close each episode of ๐˜•๐˜ž๐˜ˆ ๐˜”๐˜ช๐˜ฅ-๐˜ˆ๐˜ต๐˜ญ๐˜ข๐˜ฏ๐˜ต๐˜ช๐˜ค ๐˜Š๐˜ฉ๐˜ข๐˜ฎ๐˜ฑ๐˜ช๐˜ฐ๐˜ฏ๐˜ด๐˜ฉ๐˜ช๐˜ฑ ๐˜ž๐˜ณ๐˜ฆ๐˜ด๐˜ต๐˜ญ๐˜ช๐˜ฏ๐˜จ: ‘So long for now.’โ€
