WWE Raw video highlights: Cody Rhodes & The Rock’s story is just beginning

Cody Rhodes finished one story at WrestleMania 40, but his next one is just getting started.

The new Undisputed WWE Champion, Rhodes kicked off Monday’s Raw after WrestleMania by accepting a video tribute from WWE CCO Paul “Triple H” Levesque.

The Rock then entered to confront Rhodes and taunt the Philadelphia crowd in a segment that ran more than 20 minutes. The Rock Told Rhodes that their story has just begun, and that while The Rock has to go away for a while, he’s coming for Rhodes.

In the Raw main event, a new number one contender to Damian Priest’s World Heavyweight Championship was crowned in a four-way match with Jey Uso vs. Drew McIntyre vs. Bronson Reed vs. Ricochet.

McIntyre seemingly had the match won, but CM Punk appeared from under the ring to distract McIntyre long enough to allow Uso to hit a superkick and an Uso Splash to cement his spot as the new number one contender.

Raw also featured the announcement of the WWE Draft for later this month, and included the Raw debuts of NXT Champion Ilja Dragunov, and NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez.

WWE Raw video highlights: The Bloodline cost Cody Rhodes, Jey Uso

On Raw last night, Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso both lost matches because of The Bloodline.

Rhodes was dealt his first one-on-one loss since May 2023. He opened last night’s show by facing Drew McIntyre. Rhodes looked like he was about to get the victory, but The Bloodline’s Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa both interfered. Rhodes was initially able to overcome a distraction by Jimmy. He had McIntyre in position for Cross Rhodes, but Sikoa appeared and dropped Rhodes with a Samoan spike.

McIntyre then followed with a Claymore and pinned Rhodes for the win.

Rhodes and Seth Rollins had an interaction backstage after the match. While no words were said, it appeared that Rhodes was admitting that Rollins was right when he said Rhodes needs backup when he challenges Roman Reigns at WrestleMania. Rhodes and Rollins are appearing together on a Grayson Waller Effect segment at Elimination Chamber this Saturday.

Jey Uso challenged Gunther in last night’s main event and was about to end Gunther’s historic Intercontinental title reign, but Jimmy Uso interfered to cost his twin brother the match.

Raw ended with Jimmy laying out Jey. He vowed that Jey is not going to win a singles title without him.

WWE Raw video highlights: Cody Rhodes won’t back down

Despite having to hobble on one leg, Cody Rhodes was able to stop The Judgment Day from demolishing Jey Uso on last night’s Raw.

The show opened with Rhodes interrupting Damian Priest & Finn Balor’s Tag Team title celebration. The segment led to an angle where Priest and JD McDonagh injured Rhodes’ ankle. As Rhodes was beating Priest down, McDonagh ambushed him from behind with a chop block to the leg. Priest and McDonagh then attacked Rhodes’ ankle with a steel chair. With Rhodes’ ankle wrapped in one chair, Priest used another chair to pulverize it against the steel steps.

Jey Uso tried to help Rhodes during the beatdown but was stopped by Judgment Day.

In the main event of the episode, Priest defeated Jey after interference from Balor. Judgment Day went to injure Jey after the match, but Rhodes hobbled out to make the save. Rhodes fought off both Balor and Priest, including attacking Priest with a steel chair. Rhodes wanted to give Priest a receipt by injuring his leg, but Balor pulled Priest to safety before Rhodes could do so.

Last week, Priest & Balor won the Undisputed WWE Tag Team titles by defeating Rhodes & Jey. Jimmy Uso interfered to cost his twin brother that match.

It was announced last night that Rhodes and Priest will face off in a singles match at Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia on Saturday, November 4.

WWE Raw video highlights: Jimmy Uso helps Judgment Day win tag titles

Thanks to Jimmy Uso, the Judgment Day are once again Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions.

Finn Balor & Damian Priest regained the titles by defeating Cody Rhodes & Jey Uso in the main event of Raw’s season premiere. Jimmy interfered to cost his twin brother the match, ending Cody & Jey’s title reign at just nine days. They had won the titles from Balor & Priest at Fastlane.

Rhodes got taken out near the end of last night’s match when Priest gave him a Razor’s Edge through the announce table. Jey fought the remainder of the match on his own and was trying to get the win with a splash on Balor, but Jimmy dropped Jey with a superkick while the referee was distracted. Balor then hit a Coup de Grace to win the titles.

With every member of Judgment Day again holding gold, they celebrated with their title belts to close last night’s show.

This is the second time that Jimmy has cost Jey a title match in recent months. He stopped Jey from being able to defeat Roman Reigns at SummerSlam this August.

WWE Raw video highlights: Cody Rhodes & Jey Uso’s first title defense

Cody Rhodes & Jey Uso didn’t wait long to make their first Undisputed WWE Tag Team title defense.

Just two days after becoming champions, Rhodes & Uso defended their Undisputed Tag Team titles against Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn on Raw last night. Rhodes & Uso hit their 1D Cody Cutter on Owens before pinning him to retain.

The Tag Team title match was set up when Owens & Zayn interrupted an interview with Rhodes & Uso. Zayn had mixed emotions about Rhodes & Uso winning the titles. He was happy for them, but Zayn felt like he and Owens should be champions. On the other hand, Owens didn’t have mixed emotions. He wasn’t happy to see Rhodes & Uso with the tag title belts. Owens wanted a match against Rhodes & Uso. The champions accepted his challenge.

The two teams were back on the same page after their title match. Zayn shook hands with both Rhodes and Uso. Though Owens was initially hesitant to embrace Uso, he followed suit by shaking both of their hands as well.

In a Fastlane rematch, Rhodes & Uso are defending their Tag Team titles against The Judgment Day (Finn Balor & Damian Priest) on Raw next Monday.

The next challengers for World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins and Intercontinental Champion Gunther emerged last night. Rollins is defending against Drew McIntyre at Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia next month. Gunther will defend his Intercontinental title against Bronson Reed on Raw next Monday.

Plus, Becky Lynch defended her NXT Women’s Championship against Tegan Nox last night.

WWE Raw video highlights: Rollins vs. Balor US title match

AJ Styles cost Finn Balor a chance to become United States Champion on last night’s episode of Raw.

In the main event of last night’s show, Balor was about to beat Seth Rollins after getting help from The Judgment Day. But The OC and Mia Yim made their way out to counter Judgment Day’s interference. As Balor was going for a Coup de Grace, Styles pushed him off the top rope. That led to Rollins hitting a stomp to remain United States Champion.

Austin Theory, who failed in his Money in the Bank cash-in against Rollins last week, then hit the ring to attack Rollins. Theory laid out Rollins and posed with the US title belt.

Styles will face Balor at Survivor Series on Saturday, November 26.

The women’s teams for WarGames also continued to take shape on last night’s Raw. It was confirmed that Yim will be a member of Team Belair, while Rhea Ripley will be teaming with Damage CTRL & Nikki Cross.
