Vince McMahon featured in trailer for TMZ Hulk Hogan documentary

TMZ’s documentary on Hulk Hogan airs tonight, and Vince McMahon is featured in a new trailer for the show.

TMZ Presents: The Real Hulk Hogan premieres on Fox at 8 p.m. Eastern time and will be available on Hulu beginning Wednesday, August 13. Advertised to take part in the documentary are McMahon, Jimmy Hart, Sylvester Stallone, Mick Foley, Goldberg, Mark Henry, Charlotte Flair, Jacob Fatu, and Alexa Bliss.

McMahon’s appearance in the documentary is teased in a new trailer released today.

“It was a tremendous shock. It was a blow to my heart,” McMahon can be heard saying in the trailer.

Our own Dave Meltzer was interviewed for the project, but does not expect to be in the final product. He addressed his participation in the documentary during last night’s edition of Wrestling Observer Radio with Bryan Alvarez.

“Fox is doing their thing tomorrow night and we’ll see how that one goes,” Meltzer said.

“Is that the one where that you didn’t think they liked any of your answers?” Alvarez asked.

“Yeah. They have not advertised me and I haven’t heard from them since,” Meltzer responded.

The trailer for TMZ Presents: The Real Hulk Hogan is available below:

Vince McMahon, Triple H, Kid Rock attend Hulk Hogan’s funeral

Notable names were among the crowd at Hulk Hogan’s funeral on Tuesday.

Ric Flair revealed in a social media post that Kid Rock, Triple H, Vince McMahon, and Dennis Rodman were in attendance along with himself at Hogan’s private funeral service at the Indian Rocks Baptist Church in Largo, Florida.

“Even In Heaven, He Sold Out Again. The Most Beautiful Funeral I’ve Ever Attended! EVERYONE Was There. From @KidRock, To @TripleH, To @VinceMcMahon, To @dennisrodman. The Whole World Showed Up To Pay Respect To The Greatest Of Them All! Rest In Peace Hulkster!,” he wrote.

Page Six additionally reported that Stephanie McMahon, Bam Magera, and comedian Theo Von were also in attendance. TMZ has pictures of John Laurinaitis, Jeff Jarrett, Linda Hogan, and Hogan’s wife Sky entering the service.

Hogan died on July 24 after suffering cardiac arrest following complications from neck fusion surgery back in May. Page Six also revealed that he was suffering from leukemia. Tributes have poured across pro wrestling in the weeks following his death, with WWE paying tribute on Raw, SmackDown, NXT, and this weekend’s SummerSlam event, which was attended by Hogan’s son Nick.

Vince McMahon, WWE stars interviewed for Fox’s ‘The Real Hulk Hogan’ documentary

A Hulk Hogan documentary will air on Fox next week.

TMZ announced that they will air their documentary titled ‘The Real Hulk Hogan’ next Tuesday, August 12 at a 9 pm ET. Notably, in their announcement it was said that an interview with Vince McMahon will be part of the documentary, along with interviews from current WWE stars.

The full list of interviews include Sylvester Stallone, Vince McMahon, Mick Foley, Bill Goldberg, Jimmy Hart, Alexa Bliss, Jacob Fatu, and Charlotte Flair.

If new, this would mark the first time McMahon has made public comments since he resigned from TKO in January of 2024. He has only released statements through social media since then. Hogan died on July 24 at the age of 71 from cardiac arrest following complications from neck fusion surgery.

Another documentary on Hogan’s life, titled ‘The Life of Hulk Hogan’ aired on Fox Nation last week with interviews from Goldberg and The Hardys. A Netflix docuseries has also been in the works since 2024, with no release date set.

Triple H: Vince McMahon allegations are ‘totally separate and aside from what we do’

During an appearance on The Sports Agents, Paul “Triple H” Levesque addressed how WWE has moved forward following the allegations that have been made against Vince McMahon.

McMahon resigned from WWE in January 2024 in the wake of a lawsuit filed by former company employee Janel Grant, who has accused McMahon of physical and emotional abuse, sexual assault, and sex trafficking. McMahon and WWE as a company are both named as defendants in the suit, which is still ongoing.

The Sports Agents — whose host stressed that McMahon has always denied the allegations — asked Levesque how WWE has dealt with the fallout of the situation.

“For us as a company, creative, you know, all we can do is move forward. And allegations are allegations, right? It’s a complicated relationship for anybody in life,” Levesque said. “Nobody is perfect. But accusations are made, and that’s a whole legal thing that is totally separate and aside from what we do.

“My job is to put on the best creative product that WWE can do. And luckily and happily, it’s been successful and it’s been working wonderfully. Business is in an incredible place right now and continuing to grow, especially with our partners at Netflix, and NBC, and CW, and everyone in between. It’s a wonderful time in our business and fans are enjoying it. So we’re headed in a good direction.”

The Sports Agents also asked Levesque if he’s been surprised by how much there is to learn stepping into the role of head of creative.

“Yes and no,” Levesque responded. “You know, I’d been sitting under that learning tree that was Vince McMahon and so many others — from Pat Patterson to Jack Lanza to a lot of people sitting in that learning tree. So I understood. But when they’re your decisions to make, and as the business grows, yeah, the challenges become bigger and bigger. The pull at your time and your mental focus to stay in a creative place — yeah, there’s so much that goes into it.

“It’s hard not to be surprised by it. It’s hard not to be slightly overwhelmed by it. But at the end of the day, you have — or at least I have — an incredible support team around me of writers and producers and performers that are all weighing in to help make the product everything that it is.

“So to me, that’s my favorite part about it is sitting around with talented people and creatively coming up with ideas and riffing. I would imagine it’s like a band creating music where they all just sit around and have the parts that they put into it and then are just blown away by the outcome of it. It’s a wonderful process for me. Shocking to some degree, yes, but in some ways, everything I expected it to be.”

The Sports Agents’ full interview with Levesque can be watched below:

Woman allegedly hit by Vince McMahon’s car says she’s ‘lucky to have survived’

The woman who was allegedly hit by a car driven by Vince McMahon last week says she is grateful to be alive after the accident.

Barbara Doran shared images of the collision’s aftermath in a public Facebook post on Tuesday. She also claimed that McMahon was driving erratically at the time of the accident and that a state trooper was in the process of pulling him over. According to Doran, the trooper later told her that had McMahon not swerved at the last minute, the outcome could have been far more tragic.

While initial reports stated that no one was injured in the crash, Doran shared that she has been experiencing a stiff neck and has undergone a “full battery” of tests.

Doran wrote:

“Lucky to have survived a horrific car crash on the way up to catch the ferry to Martha’s Vineyard last Thursday morning. Both cars totaled. Vince McMahon @Mr. McMahon /#VinceMcMahon, former chair of WWE, hit me going 80-90mph as I drove in the right lane of the narrow Merritt Highway (built in the 1930s). I and the dog are mostly fine, but was lucky to have kept control of the car, more or less, as I shot off the road after being catapulted over 100 yards.

An unmarked state trooper had been following him as he sped in and out of cars down the highway and had just turned his lights on to pull Mcmahon over, but he was not in time. Both front wheels of McMahon’s Bentley were sheared off, and his airbags deployed, probably saving him from significant injury.

The trooper told me afterwards that McMahon saw me last minute and swerved, smashing into my left rear, but that if he had hit me full on, there might’ve been a very different ending for me.

Amazing that no other cars were hit, and that I got out of the car, hands shaking for a good twenty minutes, but otherwise seemingly unscathed (stiff neck later, etc., and full battery of hospital scans and bloodwork. Time will tell I am told.).

Oddly, Hulk Hogan, who made McMahon’s fame and fortune, died about the same time as the accident.

Photos of my car and his car here.”

McMahon was given a misdemeanor summons for reckless driving and following too closely resulting in an accident. He has a court date scheduled for August.

Doran’s post is below:

Vince McMahon involved in car accident last week

Former WWE chairman Vince McMahon was recently involved in a car wreck, though no one was injured in the crash.

TMZ reports that the “bad car accident” happened in Connecticut around 9 a.m. last Thursday, with a crash report saying that it started with McMahon’s Bentley ramming into the back of a BMW. A third car, a Ford Fusion, also ended up being involved when debris from the accident flew into the other lane of the highway. The three drivers were wearing their seatbelts and did not sustain injuries, but all of their cars needed to be towed from the scene.

The report notes that McMahon has a court date scheduled for August and was issued a misdemeanor summons for reckless driving and following too closely resulting in an accident.

“According to a crash report we obtained, McMahon’s 2024 Bentley was traveling northbound on Route 15 in Westport when it rammed into the back of a 2023 BMW 430 and collided with a median wooden-beam guardrail,” TMZ wrote. “Debris from the collision flew into the left side of the two-lane highway and a third vehicle, a Ford Fusion moving southbound, then ran into it.

“The force of the impact was so severe, the airbags were deployed on McMahon’s Bentley and the BMW. The report stated all three drivers were wearing their seatbelts. All three cars needed to be towed from the scene, and there was about 30 feet of damage to the median guardrail.”

TMZ has a photo gallery that includes images of the damage McMahon’s Bentley sustained.

July 24 was the date of the accident. That’s also the same day that Hulk Hogan passed away, but Hogan’s passing did not occur until later in the morning.

Amid his ongoing legal situation, McMahon issued a rare public statement last week mourning Hogan’s death and calling him the greatest WWE star of all time.

McMahon, 79, is no longer part of WWE after resigning from the company in January 2024 following a lawsuit filed by former WWE employee Janel Grant. McMahon and WWE are both defendants in the suit, which accuses McMahon of physical and emotional abuse, sexual assault, and sex trafficking.

Vince McMahon responds to Hulk Hogan’s death: ‘The world lost a treasure today’

In a rare public statement, Vince McMahon responded to the death of Hulk Hogan on Thursday.

The statement was posted to McMahon’s X/Twitter account after news broke this morning that Hogan had passed away of cardiac arrest at 71 years old. McMahon praised Hogan as a trailblazer, the consummate performer, and the greatest WWE Superstar of all time.

“The world lost a treasure today,” McMahon said. “Hulk Hogan was the greatest WWE Superstar of ALL TIME, someone who was loved and admired around the world. He was a trailblazer, the first performer who transitioned from being a wrestling star into a global phenomenon.

“His grit and unbridled thirst for success were unparalleled – and made him the consummate performer. He gave everything he had to the audience whom he appreciated, respected and loved.

“He leaves us with one of his favorite expressions, ‘Train, take your vitamins and say your prayers.’ Today, we pray for him.”

McMahon and Hogan will always be linked together as the two driving forces of the WWF’s rise to nationwide prominence in the 1980s. They even had a match against each other at WrestleMania XIX in 2003 with a storyline based on whether McMahon or Hogan deserves more credit for WWE’s success.

Hogan underwent neck surgery this May and had been dealing with health complications in the weeks before passing away.

There have only been a few public statements from McMahon since he resigned from WWE and its parent company TKO Group Holdings in January 2024 after a lawsuit had been filed against him by former WWE employee Janel Grant. That lawsuit, which is still ongoing, accuses the 79-year-old McMahon of physical and emotional abuse, sexual assault, and sex trafficking.

Judge grants Janel Grant’s bill of discovery against Carlon Colker, Peak Wellness

Some of Janel Grant’s discovery filings are moving forward.

In a ruling announced on Monday, judge Colleen Zingaro of the Connecticut Superior Court ruled in favor of Janel Grant’s bill of discovery against Dr. Carlon Colker and Peak Wellness, ordering both the plantiff and defendants to submit scheduling order proposals.

Grant’s attorneys originally filed a pre-action discovery petition against Colker and Peak Wellness last year, seeking medical records related to Grant’s treatment in the clinic. Last month, Janel Grant’s team requested documents from Vince McMahon and WWE including board materials, NDA drafts, and documents reviewed by federal investigators. Included in those requests were communications between Colker and Vince McMahon. That led to WWE & McMahon filing an appeal to prevent discovery being granted.

In her lawsuit, Grant accused the defendants of facilitating her abuse by administering unapproved treatments and substances, in turn enabling Vince McMahon’s control over her. The lawsuit has claimed that Peak Wellness has failed to provide complete documentation regarding her treatment.

Back in May, Colker responded by countersuing Grant’s attorney Ann Callis and the Holland Law Firm accusing them of defamation, asserting that all medical records had been provided. Colker is seeking punitive damages.

WWE & Vince McMahon file appeal to prevent discovery in Janel Grant lawsuit

Vince McMahon & WWE are looking to block Janel Grant’s team from discovery.

According to Post Wrestling, both defendants on Monday filed opposition to Grant’s attempt to obtain new information in the lawsuit, saying that the plaintiff has failed to meet the legal standard for pre-arbitration discovery and is also trying to seek unrelated documents relating to the question if Grant signed the NDA under duress.

“The Court should refuse to indulge Plaintiff’s [Grant’s] improper fishing expedition and deny the Motion in full,” McMahon’s team wrote in the filing.

In WWE’s filing, they wrote that Grant’s request for evidence was an attempt to bypass an earlier decision to hold off on broader discovery.

“Grant’s document requests are a transparent attempt to circumvent the Court’s stay order and initiate full merits discovery before the Court is able to decide Defendants’ motions to compel arbitration,” their legal team wrote.

“Grant has failed to present any allegations, let alone ‘reliable evidence’ that she did not intend to be bound by the arbitration provision or that the agreement to arbitrate was induced by fraud or duress,” they added.

In a filing last Monday, Grant’s team requested documents from both McMahon and WWE including emails between Vince and Linda McMahon relating to Grant and NDA, WWE’s board materials, drafts of the NDA, and communications between McMahon and Dr. Carlton Coker, who has since sued Grant’s attorney Ann Callis for defamation.

Janel Grant requests documents & emails from WWE, Vince McMahon to challenge arbitration

Janel Grant is seeking documents from Vince McMahon and WWE in an attempt to prevent the case from moving to arbitration.

Her team filed a request for evidence on Monday, according to Post Wrestling, with the court allowing Grant to request discovery related to the issue if the defendants can move the case into arbitration, which would resolve the lawsuit privately instead of publicly.

Grant’s lawyers are requesting internal WWE and McMahon documents including WWE’s board materials, NDA drafts, and documents reviewed by federal investigators. They are also requesting emails between Vince and Linda McMahon relating to Grant and/or the NDA, as well as communications between Vince and Dr. Carlton Colker, who has since countersued Grant’s attorney Ann Callis for defamation.

The filing asks for the following materials:

1. Documents sufficient to show the identity of each individual who participated in drafting and/or reviewing the NDA.

2. All communications between You, on the one hand, and any other person(s), on the other, concerning terminating Ms. Grant’s employment and/or the NDA.

3. All communications between any of Your employees or agents, on the one hand, and any other person(s), on the other, regarding concerning [sic] terminating Ms. Grant’s employment and/or the NDA.

4. All communications between any of WWE’s employees, officers, directors, or agents, on the one hand, and any other person(s), on the other, concerning terminating Ms. Grant’s employment and/or the NDA.

5. All drafts of the NDA.

6. All communications between You, on the one hand, and Linda McMahon, on the other, concerning Ms. Grant and/or the NDA.

7. All communications between You, on the one hand, and Dr. Carlon Colker, on the other, concerning Ms. Grant and/or the NDA.

8. Ms. Grant’s complete employment file.

9. All documents and communications generated by WWE’s human resources personnel, including but not limited to communications to and from Meredith Hutt, regarding Ms. Grant’s employment and separation from WWE and/or the NDA.

10. All communications between You and/or Your counsel, on the one hand, and Jonathan Shapiro, Esq., on the other, concerning the NDA.

11. All Board Materials from January 1, 2019 to January 30, 2025.

12. All minutes of the Board’s Audit Committee from January 1, 2019 to January 30, 2025.

13. All documents and communications between You, on the one hand, and Endeavor, on the other, concerning disclosure of WWE’s litigation liabilities from January 1, 2019 to April 3, 2023.

14. All documents and communications produced by You to government investigators, including but not limited to the Department of Justice and/or Securities and Exchange Commission, concerning Ms. Grant and/or the NDA.

15. Documents sufficient to show (a) all subpoenas and/or voluntary requests for production and/or testimony received by You and/or Your counsel concerning the SEC Action and (b) Your responses and objections, if any, to the government’s requests.

16. All documents and communications concerning WWE’s claim that, “[a]lthough WWE was a party to the Settlement Agreements—one signed in 2019 and one signed in 2022—McMahon failed to disclose the agreements to WWE’s Board of Directors (“Board”), legal department, accountants, financial reporting personnel, and auditor[,]” in the SEC Action.

17. All documents and communications collected and reviewed in response to a request and/or subpoena from the government; determined to be responsive; withheld under an assertion of privilege; and later found to be non-privileged and discoverable under the crime fraud exception by the Southern District of New York, as affirmed by the Second Circuit Court of Appeals in In re Grand Jury Subpoenas Dated September 13 (2025), Docket Nos. 24-1588-cv (L), 24-1589-cv (Con) (2d. Cir. Feb 7, 2025).

18. Documents sufficient to show the scope and methodology of the Board’s Internal Investigation.

19. Documents sufficient to identify all person(s) interviewed in the course of the Board’s Internal Investigation.

20. All documents and communications concerning the findings and recommendations of the Board’s Internal Investigation.

“WWE and McMahon had the opportunity to voluntarily provide discovery and they refused,” a representative of Janel Grant told Post Wrestling in a statement. “They claim the NDA and its arbitration clause are enforceable, but resist any attempts to investigate whether Ms. Grant was coerced into signing it—facts that go to the heart of its enforceability. They can’t have it both ways. Today we asked the Court to allow that discovery to proceed, Ms. Grant deserves to have the facts about her case.”

In the filing, it was claimed that there had been a meeting on Friday but the defendants “declined to offer any documents.”

Grant’s attorneys have asked the court to delay further filings until their discovery is complete. As of right now, Grant’s opposition to the defendant’s motion to move to arbitration is due on July 11, while the defendants are allowed to file their reply to that opposition by August 1.
