JNPO: The Lapsed Fan grapples with Hulkamania

Jack & JP from The Lapsed Fan were supposed to come onto Josh Nason’s Punch-Out Thursday to plug their upcoming live show during SummerSlam Sunday in New York City.

Then, two hours before we were set to record, the world learned of the passing of Hulk Hogan. So, we pivoted.

On this edition of the show, the three Js talk about their thoughts about Hogan who became so much of a character on TLF podcasts and live shows, how history may view him, bigger thoughts on mortality, and an appeared by Lapsed Vince giving his thoughts in something you won’t want to miss.

We wrapped things up talking about the SS live show and why it made sense when WrestleMania weekend in Las Vegas didn’t.

JNPO: The Lapsed Fan returns to the ‘Dark Side’

On a brand-new Josh Nason’s Punch-Out, Jack Encarnacao and JP Sarro from The Lapsed Fan make their annual spring return to the show.

The guys have something new to promote: Dark Side of the Ring: Unheard, the companion podcast series to the hit Vice TV show that goes deep into the Dark Side archives to find interviews that somewhat tie into the topic covered the following week.

Jack and JP give a preview of the entire season of the podcast series, how the relationship with the Dark Side people came to be, and what fans who didn’t hear last season’s series can expect.

They also talk about the latest on The Lapsed Fan, their thoughts and hopes for what the John Cena heel character would turn out to be, and why they didn’t do a WrestleMania post-show this year.

All that and more awaits. Just click below to listen for free.

JNPO: The Lapsed Fan heads to Philadelphia for bozos & brunch

On a brand-new Josh Nason’s Punch-Out, Jack Encarnacao and JP Sarro of The Lapsed Fan return to promote their upcoming live event during WrestleMania weekend in Philadelphia.

During their hour-plus appearance, the guys talk about what fans can expect at their Bozos, Biceps and Bullshit brunch taking place on Sunday, April 7th at Punchline Philly.

We talk about what they learned from their first-ever live event last year, the comedians that are putting on this show, and a retelling of how this whole thing came to be.

We also talked about their 10th anniversary of doing TLF and their diehard fanbase that has kept them going — one that helped them gain additional work for the Dark Side of the Ring Unheard podcast.

Of course, we had to talk about The Iron Claw star Holt McCallany shouting out “Time-Lapsed Fan” during his appearance on this very podcast while talking about his preparation to play Fritz Von Erich.

We also discuss JP’s Vince McMahon impersonation in the Janel Grant lawsuit era, Virgil, why Jack considers JP to be a great resource for what casual fans watch, and more.

JNPO: The Lapsed Fan goes Hollywood

Scroll down to listen to the podcast.

Let’s face it: The Lapsed Fan going Hollywood was inevitable, given their propensity for limos, plastic surgery, and jet setting among the elite.

On this week’s Josh Nason’s Punch-Out, I go deep with Jack Encarnacao and JP Sarro into their maiden voyage out west for a special post-WrestleMania live event in Los Angeles — their first-ever full-on live show.

Why now? What’s in it for them? Will there be a salad bar? All that and more is discussed on this episode in a way that will excite you and perhaps titillate you if the TLP guys have their way.

We talk about the show, whether it’s a template for future events, the lamenting that will take place after WrestleMania and why, and plenty more.

Plus, there’s imitations. I can’t tell you who, but you will be familiar, brother.

We also talk about TNA Law, why JP made it come to life, and how it connects with the current run of TLP podcasts.
