The WWE Network’s limited series on The Undertaker has its premiere date.

WWE Network News reported today that episode one of “Undertaker: The Last Ride” will premiere on the WWE Network on Sunday, May 10. That’s the day of this year’s Money in the Bank pay-per-view.

The debut episode is titled “Chapter 1: The Greatest Fear.” It will follow The Undertaker as he prepares for his match against Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 33 in 2017. At the time, that had been set to be Undertaker’s final match.

Here’s the description for the episode: “Get a rare and revealing look at Mark Calaway, the man behind The Undertaker, as he prepares for the final match of his storied WWE career against Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 33.”

The Undertaker limited series was announced via a trailer that aired on night one of WrestleMania 36 last month. A first look at the series then aired after WrestleMania 36 night two. During the first look, it was noted that the series takes place between 2017 and 2020.

Night one of this year’s WrestleMania was headlined by The Undertaker defeating AJ Styles in their cinematic-style boneyard match.

WWE Network News also reported that a WWE Chronicle episode focused on Shayna Baszler will premiere on Saturday, May 9.

Undertaker-AJ Styles boneyard match headlines WrestleMania night one

Night one of the most unique WrestleMania ever was headlined by a main event unlike any other in the show’s history.

The Undertaker and AJ Styles’ boneyard match main evented WrestleMania 36 night one on Saturday. The match was filmed at a graveyard setting and was far more of a cinematic production than a traditional wrestling match.

Undertaker’s theme played and a hearse arrived at the start of the match, but druids opened the coffin and it was revealed to be Styles playing mind games. Undertaker then arrived to the graveyard on a motorcycle and using Metallica’s “Now That We’re Dead” as his entrance music.

Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson were also involved in the match, but Undertaker got the win by burying Styles. After being chokeslammed off a roof, Styles pleaded with Undertaker not to bury him. Undertaker said Styles gave him a hell of a fight and acted like he wasn’t going to bury him, but he then turned around and gave Styles a big boot into the grave.

Undertaker got into the tractor near the grave and poured dirt on Styles. A headstone with Styles’ name on it was unveiled and Styles’ hand was shown sticking out of the grave. Undertaker then rode off in his motorcycle as the show went off the air.

Stephanie McMahon sent out a tweet congratulating everyone after the match: “Congratulations to everyone involved in #WrestleMania night 1, especially @undertaker, @AJStylesOrg, @LukeGallowsWWE @KarlAndersonWWE, @TripleH @Metallica & the entire crew involved in the #boneyard match, it was incredible! #innovation #reimagine #passion I can’t wait 4 part 2!”

John Cena and Bray Wyatt’s Firefly Fun House match at WrestleMania 36 night two on Sunday figures to be presented in a similar fashion to the boneyard match. When WrestleMania was moved to the Performance Center due to the coronavirus pandemic, WWE noted that other closed set locations would be used as well.

A few clips from Undertaker vs. Styles are available to watch below:

‘Undertaker: The Last Ride’ limited series coming to WWE Network

A “limited series event” focused on The Undertaker is coming to the WWE Network.

During WrestleMania 36 night one, a trailer aired announcing that “Undertaker: The Last Ride” is coming soon. An exclusive first look at the docuseries will air after WrestleMania 36 night two tomorrow night.

The series “gives the WWE Universe a rare inside look at Mark Calaway, the man behind The Undertaker, as he prepares for what could be the end of his legendary career.” Interviews with Undertaker, Michelle McCool, Vince McMahon, Big Show, Edge, Shawn Michaels, and Steve Austin are featured in the trailer.

In what was more of a cinematic production than a standard professional wrestling match, The Undertaker’s boneyard match against AJ Styles headlined tonight’s WrestleMania 36 night one broadcast. Undertaker buried Styles to get the win.

Further details on “Undertaker: The Last Ride” and how many episodes it will be haven’t been revealed. Here’s the trailer for the series:

Show Recap —

The show opened with a long AJ Styles-Undertaker video package. Undertaker was shown in a dark room, wearing his street clothes. He called out “Allen Jones,” since they were being real now. Taker said Syles must either have big balls or is really just that stupid. He’s heard a lot worse from better people but admitted some of Styles’ words were true.

Styles was right not to want to face him 10-15 years ago. Styles was happy being a big fish in a small pond because he couldn’t hang with the likes of Steve Austin, The Rock, Shawn Michaels, Triple H, Kurt Angle, Mick Foley, Eddie Guerrero, Booker T and Edge. Styles waited until they were all gone to show up.

Taker understood why Styles said what he said, but he crossed the line when he mentioned his wife Michelle McCool. He claimed Styles was upset that she did the Styles Clash better than he did — and she got it over. Taker looked forward to their boneyard match and promised to make him famous. He also hoped that Styles brought his two ass clown friends.

Taker said Styles will hurt, he will suffer, and he will rest in peace. The camera expanded to show an AJ Styles tombstone.

Tom Phillips and Byron Saxton are tonight’s announcers. There’s a six-man tag match tonight with Kevin Owens and the Street Profits against Seth Rollins, Andrade and Angel Garza. Becky Lynch was shown arriving in her tractor-trailer.

Lynch cut a promo on the stage. Lynch recalled fighting two champions in last year’s WrestleMania main event. She attacked both fools every chance she got and has been walking the razor blade lifestyle ever since. She invited us to take a look. I assumed we’d be getting a video package, but instead, they aired the full match from WrestleMania 35 with entrances: Ronda Rousey vs. Charlotte Flair vs. Becky Lynch.

According to Wikipedia, this match was 21:30. With entrances and commercials added, I think it took up about 45 minutes of TV time. The entire first hour was the Undertaker promo, Lynch’s quick speech, and this match.

[Second hour]

Following the match airing, Lynch was still on the stage and said that was the first time she has watched the match. A lot of people have tried to take the title from her since that night and Shanya Baszler was next in line. Baszler claimed that taking the title would destroy her, and she was right, it would. Lynch admitted she didn’t know who she was without the title.

Lynch warned Baszler that she knew about her demons. Baszler walked around looking cool but Lynch was getting to her. Baszler thought she could do the one thing that her pal Ronda couldn’t do and that was beat her and that was her demon. Baszler could finally step out of Rousey’s shadow, but when Baszler loses, she’ll step back into Rousey’s shadow.

Lynch agreed with Baszler that the match would destroy one of them, but then pondered which one of them it would be. At that moment, Baszler snuck up from behind and put Lynch in the Kirifuda Clutch. Baszler slammed Lynch into the side of the announce table and posed with the belt before leaving.

They aired clips of Shawn Michaels vs. Ric Flair from WrestleMania 24.

Aleister Black defeated Jason Cade (0:48)

Cade managed to catch Black with an enziguri, then Black kicked him and nailed a great-looking Black Mass for the pinfall win. (The announcers reminded us/me that Black faces Bobby Lashley at WrestleMania.)

Six-man tag match: Kevin Owens & Tag Team Champions The Street Profits defeated Seth Rollins, Angel Garza & Austin Theory (w/Zelina Vega) (13:25)

Montez Ford bumped elbows with Byron Saxton during his entrance.

Zelina Vega entered with Angel Garza and announced that Andrade suffered a serious rib injury and was deemed unable to compete. Owens and the Street Profits feigned concern, which was funny. Vega had the hottest free agent to join Garza — Austin Theory.

Owens wanted to fight Rollins but Rollins tagged in Theory. Owens immediately decked Theory and hammered away at him. Ford and Angelo Dawkins then took turns on Theory before slamming Garza on him. Ford then wiped them both out with a flip dive and they went to break.

The heels worked over Ford until he tagged in Dawkins who ran over Garza and Theory before Rollins nailed him with a superkick. Owens called Rollins a bitch. With Dawkins down, Owens warned him that a kick was coming from Rollins. “I can tell by his stance.” Dawkins avoided the kick and tagged in Owens, but Rollins managed to tag out.

Owens gave Garza a cannonball and senton but Theory broke up the cover. Ford tossed Theory from the ring then went for a flip dive. However, Theory didn’t catch him and Ford went splat against the black mats and the edge of the ramp. They even showed replays to show that he completely missed and Theory fell down anyway.

Owens gave Garza a stunner to win via pinfall. Immediately after, Rollins gave Owens a curb stomp.

They aired a commercial for The Big Show Show on Netflix.

After a break, Owens sat down in the ring and cut a promo. He said Rollins kicked some sense into him. Owens thought a lot about what Rollins said last week, and after what just happened, he had a lot to say.

Owens recalled Rollins saying that everyone should be thankful for everything he’s done and getting the Performance Center built on his hard work. But Owens heard the opposite from everyone. The Performance Center was built despite him. Owens said Rollins was a nightmare from the day he stepped into that warehouse in Tampa and nobody could stand him.

Owens said Rollins has proven to everyone lately that he is an arrogant dipshit. The difference between them is that he was not delusional. Rollins claimed to be a god at WrestleMania and Owens was just a disappointment. Owens admitted that those words stung, but Rollins has a skewed view of reality.

Owens mentioned his own championships, including being Universal Championship before Rollins. Owens admitted that he had people watching his back and helping him for each of his title wins – but so did Rollins. Rollins always had help or some underhanded way to achieve all of those Mania moments.

The only thing Rollins said that made sense was that his past didn’t matter. Owens sat up and said that on Saturday he would prove that Rollins is not a messiah or a god and he would take his first WrestleMania from him. Owens would be the one to burn it down.

They aired a video package for Edge vs. Randy Orton.

[Third hour]

Edge promo

Edge cut a promo sitting backstage. He said Orton was probably right when he said Adam Copeland was a junkie for Edge, but it wasn’t an ego thing. He loved the feeling and reaction from the crowd when his music hit. He shared a connection with the fans. He loved it because he was one of those fans.

He recalled being at WrestleMania 6 to watch Hulk Hogan vs. Ultimate Warrior. He said they were all junkies for this, and if they weren’t, they were taking up space. He said they must have different definitions of the word grit.

Grit didn’t mean getting handpicked by Evolution, or coasting and showing only spurts of magic, or being okay with being okay. And for Orton, being okay was still being better than most. But for Edge, grit meant reaching down into that hole and pulling someone out who didn’t deserve it, turning down a spot in Evolution because you didn’t want to be somebody else’s lackey, forging your own Hall of Fame career, and working for nine years to end things on your own terms.

Edge was wrong when he said Orton was jealous of him. Orton was jealous of his passion. You either have passion or you don’t. Edge had it and Orton didn’t. Orton only felt passion when Edge was with him. Everyone was saying Orton was at his best right now and it was because of Edge, and the last time he was this good was nine years ago.

Orton was a junkie for how Edge made him feel. The voices in his head forced Orton to make a horrible mistake. The Royal Rumble might have been enough closure for him but then Orton put his hands on his wife and mentioned the names of his little girls.

Orton accepted a last man standing match against a man who dove headfirst into a flaming table with thumbtacks in every inch of his body just to grab the torch that Orton took for granted. Orton stepped into another hole and this time, Edge would not pull him out, but push him so far in that he can’t step out. This was excellent.

Asuka defeated Kayden Carter (1:13)

Asuka cut a promo before the match, seemingly questioning why she was even having this match, then asked Carter “who are you?” Asuka won fairly quickly with the Asuka Lock.

They showed footage from earlier today of Charlotte attacking Rhea Ripley outside the building, booting her from behind. An agent and a referee, who happened to be nearby, checked on Ripley and backed off Charlotte. Charlotte said she would see Ripley at WrestleMania and walked off. Instead of running after her, Ripley got up and said, “Yeah, yeah you will.”

They aired Brock Lesnar vs. Rey Mysterio from Survivor Series 2019. They inserted two separate commercial breaks into this 7-minute match.

The announcers ran down the full WrestleMania card. They still plugged Goldberg vs. Roman Reigns.

Brock Lesnar / Paul Heyman segment

Lesnar and Heyman stood in the ring. Heyman didn’t want to pull the curtain back on the business because he loved the magic of WWE but he said they call this the go-home segment on the go-home Raw before WrestleMania. More often than not, the man standing in the ring for that very segment was Brock Lesnar.

He was the beast to be slain and the conqueror to be conquered. This year, Drew McIntyre has truly stepped up. McIntyre was special. Compared to some guy on the street, McIntyre was special. Compared to the dumbass in the gym who claims he can do that WWE stuff, McIntyre was special. Even compared to the locker room, McIntyre was special.

Heyman said The Rock was also special, and he got beat down by Lesnar. So was Hulk Hogan, whose blood was wiped across Lesnar’s chest. So was Randy Couture, Shane Carwin, John Cena and the Undertaker. They were all special and legends but when they got in the ring with Lesnar they ended up like everyone else — not so goddamn special, but Brock Lesnar’s bitch.

The Claymore Kick wasn’t going to work, just like the Rock Bottom and leg drop and Attitude Adjustment and Tombstone didn’t work.

Heyman guaranteed that next year, on the go-home segment, on the go-home Raw, Brock Lesnar would be standing there with the title over his shoulder and he would be talking about McIntyre getting beaten at WrestleMania 2020. This year, McIntyre walks in special and walks out just like everybody else — Brock’s bitch.

Brock Lesnar, Becky Lynch, Edge & Undertaker to appear on WWE Raw

WWE has announced a few appearances for the final episode of Raw before WrestleMania 36.

Monday’s go-home show will feature WWE Champion Brock Lesnar, Raw Women’s Champion Becky Lynch, Edge, and The Undertaker. The show, along with both nights of WrestleMania, has been taped in advance.

Lesnar made a brief appearance on Raw this Monday, with Paul Heyman cutting a promo saying Lesnar will make it quick for Drew McIntyre at WrestleMania but won’t make it painless. Lynch was also on the show and attacked Shayna Baszler with a steel chair as Baszler was doing an interview in the ring.

Edge and The Undertaker’s WrestleMania opponents were both on Raw this past Monday as stipulations were confirmed for their matches. Orton accepted Edge’s challenge for a last man standing match at WrestleMania, while Styles challenged Undertaker to a boneyard match.

WrestleMania 36 is airing on the WWE Network on Saturday, April 4 and Sunday, April 5.

Here’s WWE’s commercial for Monday’s Raw:

Styles to face Undertaker in boneyard match at WWE WrestleMania 36

The first-ever “boneyard match” will be part of the WrestleMania 36 card.

WWE has added the boneyard match stipulation to The Undertaker vs. AJ Styles at WrestleMania. The stipulation hasn’t been explained further, but WrestleMania is being taped at multiple locations in addition to the Performance Center. All of the locations will be closed sets with only essential personnel in attendance.

Styles, Luke Gallows, and Karl Anderson appeared on tonight’s Raw, with Styles cutting a promo mocking The Undertaker and Michelle McCool. Styles said he was going to bring back the Deadman and then challenged Undertaker to the boneyard match.

Styles brought up that he said he was going to bury The Undertaker. Styles said he had the perfect plot picked out for Undertaker — and it’s the same one McCool picked out when she buried his career.

The boneyard match stipulation was then officially announced later on tonight’s show.

WrestleMania 36 is airing on the WWE Network across two nights on Saturday, April 4 and Sunday, April 5.

The Undertaker vs. AJ Styles official for WWE WrestleMania 36

The Undertaker vs. AJ Styles has now been officially announced for WrestleMania 36.

WWE had advertised that Undertaker and Styles would take part in a contract signing for their WrestleMania match on tonight’s Raw, but the contract wasn’t there when Undertaker came out and Styles didn’t come down to the ring. Instead, Styles, Luke Gallows, and Karl Anderson appeared on the video screen from backstage.

Styles had the contract in his hand and cut a promo on The Undertaker, calling him over the hill and blaming Michelle McCool for Undertaker still wrestling. Styles said he would pay for Undertaker’s assisted living costs after their match.

Styles signed the contract and made Gallows and Anderson bring it to the ring. Gallows and Anderson placed it into the ring and went to back away, but the lights went out and Undertaker appeared behind them when they came back on. He attacked them, signed the contract, and shoved the piece of paper into Anderson’s mouth.

Undertaker then stared down Styles on the video screen as he headed to the back.

WrestleMania 36 has been moved from Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida to the WWE Performance Center in Orlando.

“In coordination with local partners and government officials, WrestleMania and all related events in Tampa Bay will not take place,” WWE announced. “However, WrestleMania will still stream live on Sunday, April 5 at 7 pm ET on WWE Network and be available on pay-per-view. Only essential personnel will be on the closed set at WWE’s training facility in Orlando, Florida to produce WrestleMania.”

The Undertaker appears at WWE Elimination Chamber

The build to AJ Styles facing The Undertaker at WrestleMania 36 was furthered with Undertaker making an appearance at Elimination Chamber tonight.

Undertaker appeared after Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson interfered in Styles and Aleister Black’s no disqualification match. Gallows and Anderson laid out Black with the Magic Killer and were holding him in position for the Phenomenal Forearm when Undertaker’s gong hit and the lights went off.

When the lights came back on, Undertaker was going to chokeslam Gallows and Anderson. Styles tried to give Undertaker the Phenomenal Forearm, but Undertaker caught him and chokeslammed him.

The lights then went out again and Undertaker was gone when they came back. Black hit Black Mass on Styles to get the win.

Undertaker also used a chokeslam to defeat Styles at Super ShowDown in Saudi Arabia in February. The Tuwaiq Trophy gauntlet match at that show came down to Styles and Rey Mysterio, but there was an angle where Mysterio was attacked backstage by Gallows and Anderson. Undertaker took Mysterio’s place, chokeslammed Styles, and pinned him before even taking his entrance gear off.

The Undertaker enters gauntlet match at WWE Super ShowDown

The Undertaker not only made an appearance at Super ShowDown today, he was briefly in action at the show.

The Tuwaiq Trophy gauntlet match at today’s event in Saudi Arabia had come down to AJ Styles and Rey Mysterio, but Mysterio’s music hit and he didn’t come out. There was then an angle where it was revealed that Mysterio had been attacked by Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson backstage.

Styles wanted to be declared the winner of the gauntlet match, and it was announced that Styles would win if his opponent didn’t come out by the end of the referee’s 10 count. The count began, but it was shown that Gallows and Anderson had now been laid out backstage. The camera showed the Undertaker’s jacket and boots as he walked by but didn’t fully reveal who it was.

Undertaker then made his entrance and entered the ring. Styles complained to the referee about Undertaker being in the match. Styles then turned around and tried to attack Undertaker, but Undertaker gave him a chokeslam. Before even taking his entrance gear off, Undertaker pinned Styles to win the gauntlet match.

Dave Meltzer reported earlier this month that Undertaker vs. Styles is planned for WrestleMania 36.

After it was reported that Undertaker had traveled to Saudi Arabia for Super ShowDown, WWE confirmed that Undertaker was in the country and teased that he would be playing a part in today’s show.

Bobby Lashley, Andrade, Erick Rowan, and R-Truth were the other participants in the Tuwaiq Trophy gauntlet match.

Styles vs. Aleister Black is set for Monday’s post-Super ShowDown episode of Raw.

WWE confirms The Undertaker in Saudi Arabia for Super ShowDown

WWE has officially begun teasing an appearance by The Undertaker for tomorrow’s Super ShowDown event.

WWE posted a picture of The Undertaker in Saudi Arabia on Twitter today and wrote “What is The #Undertaker doing in Saudi Arabia ahead of #WWESSD?! (cc: @Enjoy_Saudi).” They also posted an article on WWE.com hyping that Undertaker is in the country:

Reports have begun swirling in advance of WWE Super ShowDown that The Undertaker has been spotted at a market in Saudi Arabia. Photographs circulating on social media seem to confirm the presence of the legendary Superstar at the site of WWE Super ShowDown. If true, why is he there?

His apparent presence obviously lends itself to more questions than answers. Undertaker’s in-ring appearances are an increasing rarity, and he is not yet advertised for a match at tomorrow’s show. And yet, it would make a certain sense for him to appear, as The Phenom already has plenty of history in the Kingdom and, perhaps, some unfinished business as well.

Not only did Undertaker compete at a pair of 2018 events in Saudi Arabia — defeating Rusev in a Casket Match and falling to the reunited DX alongside Kane — he memorably battled Goldberg at last year’s WWE Super ShowDown event. Goldberg, of course, is scheduled to face ‘The Fiend’ Bray Wyatt for the Universal Championship tomorrow. Depending on how things shake out, we could be headed from one rivalry straight to the other. It could be equally likely that The Deadman won’t be competing and will instead simply add his presence to the festivities. Tomorrow will bring the answers. Until then, we wait.

Dave Meltzer had confirmed earlier this week that The Undertaker had traveled with WWE to Saudi Arabia.

Though the match has yet to be officially announced, The Undertaker vs. AJ Styles is planned for WrestleMania 36. Styles, Andrade, Bobby Lashley, Erick Rowan, R-Truth, and Rey Mysterio will be in the Tuwaiq Trophy gauntlet match at Super ShowDown.

Since WWE began its 10-year partnership with Saudi Arabia in 2018, last year’s Crown Jewel is the only Saudi event that The Undertaker hasn’t appeared at.

Mohammed Abdu Arena on the Boulevard in Riyadh is hosting Super ShowDown tomorrow. The pre-show will begin at 11 a.m. Eastern time, with the main card starting at noon.

The Undertaker traveling to Saudi Arabia for WWE Super ShowDown

A legendary wrestler is making the trip for Super ShowDown in Saudi Arabia.

It was confirmed on today’s Wrestling Observer Radio that The Undertaker is traveling with WWE to Saudi Arabia for this Thursday’s show. John Pollock of Post Wrestling also reported that Undertaker is currently scheduled to appear at Super ShowDown.

Undertaker vs. AJ Styles is planned for WrestleMania 36 but hasn’t been officially announced yet.

Styles will be part of the Tuwaiq Trophy gauntlet match at Super ShowDown. Andrade, Bobby Lashley, Erick Rowan, R-Truth, and Rey Mysterio are the other wrestlers set for the gauntlet match.

Undertaker defeated Goldberg in the main event of last year’s Super ShowDown. The only other time that Undertaker wrestled in 2019 was when he teamed with Roman Reigns against Shane McMahon & Drew McIntyre at Extreme Rules in July.

Last October’s Crown Jewel event is the only WWE show in Saudi Arabia that The Undertaker hasn’t appeared at since WWE began their 10-year partnership with the country.

Mohammed Abdu Arena on the Boulevard in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia is hosting Super ShowDown this Thursday. The show will begin at noon Eastern time.

The Undertaker vs. AJ Styles planned for WWE WrestleMania 36

A big first-time matchup is planned for WrestleMania 36.

Dave Meltzer has confirmed that The Undertaker vs. AJ Styles is currently on the scheduled card for WrestleMania. The match being planned for WrestleMania was first reported by WrestleZone yesterday.

The Undertaker didn’t wrestle at WrestleMania 35 last year. He was in action twice in 2019, defeating Goldberg at Super ShowDown in Saudi Arabia in June and teaming with Roman Reigns to defeat Shane McMahon & Drew McIntyre at Extreme Rules in July.

Undertaker also made an appearance when SmackDown took place at Madison Square Garden in September.

Styles has been out of action since separating his shoulder in last month’s men’s Royal Rumble match. WWE.com noted on February 3 that Styles was “recovering way ahead of doctor’s projections.”

Styles has been announced as one of the participants for the Tuwaiq Trophy gauntlet match at Super ShowDown in Saudi Arabia on Thursday, February 27. Andrade, Rusev, Bobby Lashley, R-Truth, and Erick Rowan will also be in the match.

WrestleMania 36 will take place at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida on Sunday, April 5.

WWE SmackDown live results: Night two at Madison Square Garden

SmackDown takes place tonight from Madison Square Garden in New York City.

Like last night’s Raw, SmackDown will feature an appearance by a returning legend. The Undertaker will be on tonight’s show, though what he’ll be doing has yet to be revealed.

Randy Orton has attacked WWE Champion Kofi Kingston and The New Day over the past few weeks. In 2009, Kingston put Orton through a table at MSG. Kingston returns to the Garden as the champion and is looking for Orton.

Erick Rowan revealed that he’s the mastermind behind the attacks on Roman Reigns last week. He then attacked Reigns and yelled at Daniel Bryan for trying to control him. Rowan ended up giving Bryan an Iron Claw Slam through the announce table.

Elias was supposed to face Chad Gable in SmackDown’s King of the Ring semifinal match tonight, but WWE announced this afternoon that Elias is out of the match due to an injury. We’ll see how WWE handles the situation. Baron Corbin advanced to the King of the Ring finals by defeating Samoa Joe and Ricochet on Raw.

Our live coverage begins at 8 p.m. Eastern time.

**********

SmackDown started with The Undertaker making his way down to the ring to a huge reaction. The fans broke into a loud “Undertaker” chant. He considers this his home, but he doesn’t know how many more times he’ll get to return home.

Taker talked about the titans, legends, and heroes that were born in MSG. He took a bit of their souls with him, but their memories echo in the hallways for all eternity. He said now they usher in an era of a new superstar.

Sami Zayn interrupted and made his way to the ring. The fans booed, but a few sang along with his music. He called Taker a legend and said that Taker sold out MSG for 30 years. For 30 years, MSG has been Taker’s yard. Zayn pushed the idea that he has a lot of respect for Taker.

Zayn believes that Taker shouldn’t be the man to open up SmackDown. He thinks it should have been him.

Zayn noted that the fans in New York want him to take out Taker. The fans booed and chanted, “You Suck.” Zayn asked Taker to turn around and leave the ring to him. He told Taker to pass him the torch. Zayn promised the future of the WWE and MSG is in good hands with him. He gave Taker his word.

Taker gave Zayn his mic and started to walk off. Zayn celebrated, but Taker came back in. Taker grabbed Zayn and gave him the chokeslam.

In the back, Chad Gable entered Shane McMahon’s office. McMahon called him shorty and complimented Gable on his recent performances. McMahon revealed that Elias broke his ankle and Gable assumed he gets a bye in the King of the RIng. McMahon’s looking for a replacement and said it could be someone from Raw or SmackDown.

The Miz defeated Andrade (w/Zelina Vega)

Intercontinental Champion Shinsuke Nakamura joined in on commentary. Nakamura spoke in Japanese, but Graves understood him.

Andrade had the early advantage, but Miz took over.

He sent Andrade to the floor and went for a dive. Vega jumped on the apron to stop him. She interfered again, and Andrade regained control. He followed up with the double knees in the corner.

Back from the break, Miz was firmly in control and hit a neck breaker for a near fall. He followed up with the It Kicks. He fired back with chops and knees in the corner. Andrade missed a charge in the corner and fell to the floor.

Miz hit a sliding dropkick and slammed Andrade on the announce table. Nakamura and Miz had a brief staredown. Miz then tossed Andrade into Nakamura. Vega grabbed Miz by the leg and Andrade rocked Miz with an elbow.

Andrade went for a moonsault, but Miz rolled out of the way. Andrade landed on his feet and attempted a standing moonsault.

Miz rolled to his feet and hit the skull-crushing finale. They messed up the finish a bit but it still looked cool.

After the match, Nakamura attacked Miz and hit the Kinshasa.

In the back, Shane McMahon approached Matt Hardy and Apollo Crews. He’s looking for Gable and made a bunch of short jokes. McMahon then revealed that he is Elias’ replacement. Gable takes on McMahon later tonight.

Nikki Cross (w/Alexa Bliss) defeated Mandy Rose (w/Sonya Deville)

Before the match, Rose talked about her beauty and called Nikki Cross ugly. She showed a picture comparing them and mocked Cross’s looks.

Cross ran to the ring and attacked Rose. Cross had the early advantage, but Rose gained control. Rose slowed down the pace and applied a chin lock. Cross made a comeback and climbed to the top turnbuckle. Deville jumped on the apron, but Bliss pulled her off.

Cross missed a cross body, and Rose went for a knee. Cross moved and rolled her up for the win.

In the locker room, Ember Moon approached Bayley. She’s not happy that Bayley attacked Becky Lynch with a chair. Moon assumes its Sasha Banks’ influence. Bayley is trying to elevate the division.

Moon pointed out that Charlotte Flair pinned Bayley. Moon told Bayley to save the aggression for the ring.

Heavy Machinery defeated Johnny Silver and Alex Keaton

Otis and Tucker completely dominated the match. Otis hit the Caterpillar, and they followed up with the compacter for the win.

In the back, Kevin Owens approached Shane McMahon in his office. McMahon is considering dropping the fine against Owens. He wants Owens to be the referee for his match against Gable for later. He implied that if Owens cheats in his favor, then he’ll drop the fine.

They recapped the Erick Rowan attacking Roman Reigns angle. Rowan made his way down to the ring. He talked about how nobody controls him, and the people need to look into his eyes. He’s a mastermind and manipulator. The fans chanted “What” at Rowan.

Roman Reigns interrupted and came down to the ring. He rocked Rowan with the Superman Punch, and they brawled around ringside. They brawled into the crowd and Reigns hit another Superman Punch. Security ran out to stop Reigns. Rowan grabbed a fan and power bombed him onto Reigns and security.
