WWE wrestler Lyra Valkyria is returning home to Ireland for an indie appearance this holiday season.
Valkyria will be in action for Over The Top Wrestling in her hometown of Dublin on Saturday, December 21. It appears that she’ll be facing Debbie Keitel — her former tag team partner — at the event. Valkyria & Keitel previously teamed together as The Woke Queens.
This will be Valkyria’s first time competing for OTT in more than five years. She had one Women’s title reign during her time in the promotion. In WWE, Valkyria is a member of the Raw roster and is a former NXT Women’s Champion.
Two other Irish WWE stars — Finn Balor & JD McDonagh — have also appeared for OTT Wrestling this year. They were involved with the promotion’s 10th anniversary event last month, winning a tag team match against Matthew Smyth & Sean Guinness.
The December 21 OTT event is named The Dream Before Christmas and is taking place from The Complex in Dublin.
Over the Top Wrestling is hoping the third time’s a charm as the promotion has once again announced Jon Moxley for one of its shows.
Moxley was first advertised to make his debut for the Irish promotion at OTT ScrapperMania 6 in 2020. However, the show was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. He was announced for ScrapperMania 7 earlier this year as well and scheduled for a match against Big Damo. Moxley ended up being pulled from that show too due to AEW running a House Rules event in Troy, Ohio that weekend.
OTT is now advertising Moxley for its ninth-year anniversary show on October 27 in Wolverhampton. He will face Trent Seven on the show.
Moxley has also been announced for a Wrestling Revolver show in October. The show will take place from Dayton, Ohio on Sunday, October 8 and will air live on FITE TV. He last wrestled for the promotion in June when he teamed with The Second Gear Crew and defeated The Rascalz and Rickey Shane Page.
🚨BREAKING🚨
*NEW SHOWS ALERT*
2 SHOWS – 1 DAY! Sunday, October 8th Dayton, OH LIVE on @FiteTV+
Revolver Women's Grand Prix 3pmET w/ Special Ambassador: Renee Paquette!
AEW star Jon Moxley has officially been pulled from his scheduled appearance at OTT ScrapperMania 7.
In an update sent to ticket holders on Monday, OTT Wrestling confirmed that Moxley will no longer be appearing at their ScrapperMania event in Dublin, Ireland on Saturday, March 18. The appearance had been in doubt since AEW announced Moxley for their house show in Ohio that’s taking place on the same day.
OTT noted that, with Moxley off ScrapperMania, AEW will be sending two replacements. Eddie Kingston will be one of the replacements. The other replacement will be confirmed in the coming days.
Unfortunately AEW have confirmed that due to a newly added live event on March 18th in Ohio, USA, Jon Moxley will no longer be able to appear at OTT ScrapperMania 7. However, AEW have confirmed that they will send two replacements, one of whom will be Eddie Kingston with second name to be confirmed in the coming days. We would like to express our deepest apologies to our fans who have been looking forward to seeing Jon Moxley but our team are working hard around the clock to make sure ScrapperMania 7 surpasses all expectations.
Those who purchased a meet and greet with Moxley can request a refund. If not, they’ll be given access to OTT’s ScrapperMania FanFest.
Moxley was scheduled to face Big Damo at ScrapperMania 7
Moxley was originally supposed to appear at OTT ScrapperMania 6 in 2020, but he had to be pulled from that show following the start of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Ireland’s Over The Top (OTT) Wrestling has announced Jon Moxley for an upcoming event.
Moxley will take part in the promotion’s Scrappermania 7 on Saturday, March 18, 2023 from Dublin’s National Stadium. His opponent has yet to be announced.
The annual event is considered the biggest night of the year for the promotion.
Also announced for the show are OTT Champion Omari, Tag Team Champions The Draw (Charlie Sterling and Adam Maxted), Session Moth Martina, and Trent Seven. Tickets go on-sale beginning Friday, January 13, 2023.
🚨ScrapperMania 7🚨 March 18th National Stadium #Dublin 🇮🇪 Tickets on sale Jan 13th @ 10am
Moxley was originally scheduled to take part in OTT Scrappermania 6 on March 13, 2020. However, the event was postponed due to the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic. He was to wrestle David Starr on the show.
Following the postponement of Scrappermania VI, OTT launched a GoFundMe to help them recoup losses from not being able to run the event. A $1000 donation was made under Moxley’s real-name of Jonathan Good.
With PAC’s first title defense in the books Sunday, his next AEW All-Atlantic title defense is already scheduled as the inaugural champion will defend against LJ Cleary at OTT’s Poetry Slam on Friday, July 22nd in Smithfield, Dublin, Ireland.
PAC successfully defended the title for the first time Sunday, submitting Shota Umino in Revolution Pro Wrestling’s main event in Sheffield, UK. The match will be shown in its entirety this Tuesday on AEW Dark.
The Cleary match was announced last week with the caveat that if PAC remained champion after today, the title would be on the line. It’s assumed this match will also be on a future episode of Dark or Dark: Elevation.
The two were originally supposed to meet at OTT’s Scrappermania 6 but the show was canceled due to the pandemic.

SUNDAY NEWS UPDATE
Our weekend show with Bryan talking Howard Finkel, WWE business and Smackdown is already up on the site right now.
Some WWE talent that doesn’t live in Florida is staying there for the time being to avoid flying back-and-forth and keeping in quarantine between tapings. But not many. WWE and AEW are both lucky that Florida is the state opened up because both companies have a lot of talent living in Florida.
As far as Google searches, Howard Finkel was the fourth most searched for topic in the U.S. on Thursday with 300,000 searches while Vince McMahon was No. 12 on Wednesday with 100,000, based on Donald Trump mentioning his name as one of the people he would consult regarding opening up the economy.
AAA ran a show last night on Facebook and YouTube. They actually taped several weeks worth of shows this past week, had the referee wear a mask and gloves and attempted to keep the referee as far away from the participants as possible. They did only singles matches as opposed to trios matches. The announcers were kept far apart from each other. They were also wiping down the ropes and mat.

The big angle they are doing is that Dustin Rhodes said that he will retire if he doesn’t beat Kip Sabian on the show this coming Wednesday in the TNT title tournament. The Rhodes vs. Sabian winner will face Lance Archer on the TV show that airs on 4/29.

Amid the coronavirus outbreak, Over The Top Wrestling has canceled this weekend’s ScrapperMania events.
The news was announced via a statement issued by OTT today, with the promotion writing that the decision was made following official government advice against indoor gatherings of more than 100 people:
As previously stated, our number one priority at OTT is the health and wellbeing of our audiences, performers and staff during this Covid-19 outbreak. Following official government advice against indoor gatherings of more than 100 people, we unfortunately must cancel both this weekend’s Scrappermania events. We understand and share the disappointment this will cause to so many, and can only offer our sincere apologies for any and all inconvenience caused. We did everything in our power to keep these shows viable, with significant contingency put plans in place this week. ScrapperMania 6 was scheduled for National Stadium in Dublin, Ireland this Saturday. It was set to be headlined by David Starr vs. Jon Moxley, though Dave Meltzer said on Wrestling Observer Radio overnight that Moxley traveling to the show was in question.
OTT’s The Hangover Show was also going to be held at National Stadium’s Ringside Club on Sunday.
– The excellent Crooked Gentlemen hype video for Jordan Devlin vs. David Starr played on the big screen before the show. Most fans thought that was just OTT playing it to get ready for the show — but in a big surprise, it was the opener.
– Jordan Devlin defeated David Starr
Incredible match and atmosphere. Starr entered to “We Belong” by Pat Benatar, which was the song he and Devlin came out to as a tag team when they first faced WALTER in OTT.
They brawled all over the building before moving on to a great physical contest with believable levels of hatred. They did each other’s moves and had very close near falls before Devlin won with two big package piledrivers, booking his spot in the main event of ScrapperMania V on March 16 against WALTER for the OTT World Championship.
– Ilja Dragunov defeated Shigehiro Irie
Great bruising contest with both men landing heavy blows. The fans were largely behind Dragunov, but there was some support for Irie as well. Dragunov ducked Irie’s Beast Bomber and landed Torpedo Moscow for the win.
– PAC defeated OTT World Champion WALTER by DQ in a non-title match
PAC played babyface here as WALTER came out disrespecting the OTT World title belt, throwing it around and stepping on it. At one point, PAC landed badly on a dive and dislocated a finger, but he snapped it back into place and carried on.
WALTER went to use the belt, the referee caught him, and PAC low blowed WALTER. PAC went for the Black Arrow, but WALTER rolled out of the ring, then shoved the referee to get disqualified.
Devlin stopped WALTER from leaving, hitting him with a slingshot cutter and allowing PAC to hit the Black Arrow. Devlin then stood over WALTER raising the title to set up the ScrapperMania V main event.
– Charlie Sterling & The Anti-Fun Police (Chief Deputy Dunne & Los Federales Santos Jr.) defeated More Than Hype (Darren Kearney, LJ Cleary & Nathan Martin)
Fun cool-down match with a good level of comedy and decent action. Sterling stole the win with a jackknife pin on Kearney with his feet on the ropes.
– OTT Gender Neutral Champion Mark Haskins defeated Andrew Everett and Terry Thatcher to retain his title
Good three-way match, with the fans solidly behind the local star Thatcher. Everett is now doing a gimmick where he believes he’s a giant. Thatcher hit his finisher on Everett, but Haskins threw him off and stole the pin to retain the title.
– Scotty Davis & Will Ospreay defeated The Besties In The World (Davey Vega & Mat Fitchett)
A showcase for Davis, who is a protege of Ospreay, though all four men delivered here. Vega suffered a knock mid match, but he carried on.
Davis got the pin, then Ospreay revealed that he was supposed to wrestle Davis at ScrapperMania V, but he was required by New Japan for the date — so Davis will now wrestle Jushin Thunder Liger. That’s a huge deal as Davis is only 18 years old and is talented well beyond his age.
– Justy & MJF defeated The Angel Cruzers (Angel Cruz & B. Cool)
MJF made a reference to the Irish Potato Famine during his entrance, which drew tremendous heat. The Angel Cruzers had the match won when their young boys Team PRICK (Peter and Rick) turned against them and joined forces with Justy, leading to him and MJF winning.
– OTT Women’s Champion Raven Creed defeated Yuu to retain her title
This was sadly the low point of the card, as they didn’t really click with each other. Yuu showed some good judo skills, but Creed won in just a few minutes to retain the title.
– Intermission was taken here to set up the steel cage, which only took a few minutes. They held a raffle to benefit the recovery of former Women’s Champion Katey Harvey, who broke both her elbows last month.
– OTT Tag Team Champions The Kings of the North (Bonesaw & Damien Corvin) defeated The Lads From the Flats (Paddy M & Workie) & Session Moth Martina in a steel cage match to retain their titles
This was War Games-style entry, but Dragon Gate-style elimination — as all members had to escape the cage to win the match. Paddy M was great flying all over the cage.
It came down to Corvin and Martina remaining in the cage. Lots of weapons were used, and both of them ended up in thumbtacks, with Martina putting in a great performance to show that she’s more than just a comedy wrestler.
They attempted to leave the cage at the same time, but Paddy M and Bonesaw were brawling outside and knocked the referee into the door, slamming it in Martina’s head. That allowed Corvin to climb to the outside to retain the titles for the Kings.
With Will Ospreay unable to wrestle at the show, Over The Top Wrestling has announced his replacement for ScrapperMania 5.
Jushin Thunder Liger will be replacing Ospreay at ScrapperMania, which is taking place at National Stadium in Dublin, Ireland on Saturday, March 16. Liger’s match for the show has yet to be revealed.
It was announced yesterday that Ospreay wouldn’t be able to appear at ScrapperMania or OTT’s show in Belfast on Sunday, March 24 due to conflicting commitments: “Due to other commitments, Will Ospreay can no longer appear at March 16th ScrapperMania [and] March 24th Live In Belfast. Both Will and OTT are gutted but the situation is unavoidable. We have worked hard (with Will) and have found star replacements.”
The two shows are during NJPW’s New Japan Cup tour.
Flip Gordon will be Ospreay’s replacement at the Live in Belfast event. Gordon suffered an MCL tear in his right knee at a Ring of Honor show in January, but ROH announced that the injury wouldn’t require surgery. ROH noted that Gordon would be able to return in time for April’s G1 Supercard at Madison Square Garden.
WALTER and PAC are set to face one another in February.
Over the Top Wrestling announced today that the two will square off at their Homecoming II event, which will take place on February 17 at the National Basketball Arena in Dublin, Ireland. Floor seats have already been sold out.
It is an interesting match as the two are heading in different directions. WALTER has already signed a deal with WWE, and is expected to be a part of the NXT UK roster going forward.
Meanwhile, PAC, who was known in WWE as Neville, left the promotion in August after spending most of 2018 at home due to contractual issues. Since leaving WWE, he has mainly worked for Dragon Gate but is taking independent dates in the UK.
Another high profile match featuring PAC will see him square off against Will Ospreay, as the two are scheduled to meet on February 15 for Rev Pro’s High Stakes event.
Neville’s post-WWE career continues to take shape.
Big League Wrestling announced today that Neville (who is again going by the name PAC since departing WWE) will be making his United Kingdom in-ring return at their show at the Westlands Entertainment Venue in Yeovil, England on Sunday, November 18. He’ll be facing Dean Allmark and Jake McCluskey in a three-way match.
After nearly a year away from the ring, Neville resurfaced for Dragon Gate at the beginning of this month. He joined Dragon Gate’s R.E.D. stable and has continued to wrestle for them. Dragon Gate was also Neville’s home promotion before he signed with WWE in 2012.
It was confirmed this August that Neville was officially no longer under contract with WWE.
OTT Wrestling’s Fourth Anniversary Show took place at National Stadium in Dublin, Ireland on Saturday.
– OTT Gender Neutral Champion LJ Cleary defeated Paddy M, Rocky Romero, Raven Creed, and Gino Gambino to retain his title
– OTT Tag Team Champions Kings of the North defeated More Than Hype to retain their titles
There was lots of local support for More Than Hype. The match started fast with a surprise set of dropkicks from More Than Hype, then moved to a brawl to the outside and then back in the ring. Kings of the North then took over until Nathan Martin went psycho for a comeback.
Darren Kearney locked in a half crab submission, but there was a referee distraction and Kearney was hit with a belt shot. The Kings retained with a roll-up. Good match.
– Hirooki Goto & Sean Guinness defeated Satoshi Kojima & Michael May
Lots of bread-related chants and some bread tossed into the ring due to Kojima being the leader of Bread Club. Goto and Kojima started with a nice technical exchange. May and Guinness then tagged in and did a series of acrobatic pinning attempts before Guinness appealed for silence and began a stinging exchange of slaps.
Goto noted this and tagged in, delivering his own version to a loud reaction. Kojima, not to be left out, tagged in and delivered about a dozen rapid fire comedy chops to Goto in the corner to a loud reaction. Kojima played very well to the crowd throughout, but Goto pinned May with a reverse GTR into a GTR.
There was a big reaction for Kojima at the end. There was bread tossed in the ring, May presented a slice to Kojima, and Kojima ate it in the ring to a huge pop.
– Scotty Davis defeated Mark Davis
There were “let’s go Davis/Davis sucks” chants to start. Mark played the big bruising heel — and Scotty was the nimble technician. That included Mark holding the much smaller Scotty in a very long vertical suplex. They had a good, solid match. There was again some stinging chops from Mark, but Scotty won via submission.
Mark attacked Scotty after the match.
– The Gymnasties defeated Angel Cruzers & Jimmy Havoc
A funny Angel Cruzers video segment aired at the start. They entered, then Havoc’s video hit and the crowd went nuts. The match started with plenty of plunder being employed outside the ring and then inside. The match hit a lull until Havoc brought out the thumbtacks, sprinkling them on the center of the ring. They did reversals of moves to avoid being slammed on the thumbtacks until one of the Gymnasties landed on them.
They brawled to the outside and onto the entrance stage. Angel Cruz headed backstage and returned with two light tubes, but he missed his strike and accidentally hit Havoc. The action returned to the ring, where Angel Cruz gave the Shield powerbomb to the Gymnasties with the aid of valets.
A bleeding Jimmy Havoc arrived, blasted Cruz with the light tube, and the Gymnasties got the win. Havoc then beat up Cruz in the aftermath.
– Tomohiro Ishii defeated KUSHIDA
Ishii is just great. Both guys got a huge reaction, and they had a very good match. A few slight botches turned into the story of the match with KUSHIDA targeting Ishii’s arm, so Ishii struggled to perform certain moves. There was amazing subtle selling by Ishii throughout.
Strickland, Bandido, and Flamita got a big reaction, but it felt like the roof almost blew off when LIJ made their entrance. Naito messed with the referee a bit to start, having him hold the ropes for him and then rolling in instead and slowly disrobing and squaring off to the ref before the opening bell.
The crowd reacted massively throughout. It started with an incredibly fast pace, with them doing lots of very nimble exchanges. SANADA tied up Flamita with a Paradise Lock into a dropkick. There was a “one more time” chant from the crowd — and SANADA obliged. There was a second “one more time” chant — and SANADA apologized and tagged in Naito.
They brawled through the aisle in three different directions at one point and Naito briefly opened an umbrella. Naito hit the Destino on Flamita and handed him over to SANADA, who locked in the Skull End for the win.
Naito grabbed Flamita’s mask and wore it as a hat in triumph. Strickland appealed for its return, but Naito refused and they limped to the back while LIJ basked in the cheers.
– Minoru Suzuki defeated Timothy Thatcher
Suzuki entered to a huge reaction and a thunderous Kaze Ni Nare. The crowd was 100 percent behind Suzuki, who played the wily veteran to Thatcher’s bigger grappler. They did several long exchanges of holds with Suzuki’s experience coming out on top. They also did blistering exchanges of blows where it ended up with Suzuki leveling the larger Thatcher to a big reaction.
The finish was Suzuki hitting the Gotch piledriver. He left to cheers and another Kaze Ni Nare.
– OTT Champion WALTER defeated Will Ospreay to retain his title
A vignette played to start with Ospreay selling the match hard. Ospreay came out to a big reaction, and the crowd was very hot at this point. Ospreay attempted to avoid being controlled by WALTER. He kept the match at a rapid pace and avoided WALTER’s chops until WALTER hit a mid-air one.
The match had consistent strong crowd reaction throughout. They did a huge number of standout spots, Ospreay went for a Rainmaker and WALTER no sold it, knocked Ospreay down, and did the Rainmaker pose to boos. WALTER went for a ripcord chop later, which Ospreay reversed into a Rainmaker, maintained wrist control, and went for another.
There was a false finish where it looked like WALTER pinned Ospreay, but Ospreay got his foot on the ropes and the ref restarted the match. Ospreay got two incredible near falls off an OsCutter and top rope powerbomb that had everyone on their feet counting. WALTER locked in a sleeper to Ospreay and they did the hand drop spot that Ospreay hulked up out of. WALTER ended up retaining to a chorus of boos.
Ireland’s Over The Top Wrestling staged their first show Saturday in the new venue of the National Stadium in Dublin in front of a raucous sellout crowd of 2200. This was also the first OTT show streamed live on FloSlam.
– Grado pinned Charlie Sterling in an entertaining, comedy style opener that got the already lively crowd into even more of a frenzy.
– Jigsaw defeated local favourite Scotty Davis. Crowd was really into Davis.
– Jurn Simmons defeated Lord Paul Tracey in an engaging match that stood out mostly for Jurn’s awesome entrance that took almost as long as the match itself.
– Justin Shape & Logan Bryce defeated The Gymnasties after interference from their manager in one of the best matches on the card. This had some really cool spots including a Hardy Boys’ Poetry In Motion to the outside. The Gymnasties looked to have split up after the loss.
– Session Moth Martina, Nixon Newell, & Alex Windsor defeated Bea Priestley, Jinny & Katey Harvey in a fun match
Having seen entrances for every form of combat in venues from Dublin to Las Vegas, the electricity the crowd had for the arrival of Team Session Moth was unbelievable. The place went crazy when “Maniac 2000” started playing, and the crowd filled the ring with glow sticks. Martina got the pin after a jumping Codebreaker. After the match, it was announced that Nixon would be heading to NXT.
– The Kings Of The North bested The Lads From The Flats in a 6 man match that curiously was for the OTT tag titles. This was a rip-roaring match from start to finish that resembled a video game with unlimited finishers turned on.
– OTT storyline owner Gerry Humperdink announced that Mick Foley would be taking over OTT’s next show — WrestleRama on August 5th. The show will feature Matt Sydal, Joey Ryan, and more.
– Marty Scurll choked out Jay White via chicken wing
This was the best pure wrestling match on the card. It had no comedy and was just straight forward, technical, high-level wrestling. “The Villain” did his spot where he appears to dislocate his opponent’s fingers with a sickening sound that echoed through the arena. Both looked strong with White getting a lot of offense in.
– Zack Gibson defeated Angel Cruz in a silly but entertaining bout. There was a very funny spot with Cruz attempting to do Undertaker’s “Old School” while being helped by his bodyguards who had sat on the shoulder of the other to keep Cruz upright.
– Kenny Omega & The Young Bucks (The Elite) defeated Lio Rush, Ryan Smile & Will Ospreay (The Uptown Funkers)
The match was played mostly for laughs with some unbelievable displays of skill and athleticism peppered throughout. Matt grabbed the mike in the middle of the match while he had Smile locked in a Sharpshooter to tell the crowd that Bret Hart was his favourite wrestler, to subscribe to their YouTube channel, and buy their merch from Pro Wrestling Tees.
Omega got the pin after the Bucks hit a Meltzer Driver and Omega hit a One Winged Angel. After the match, Omega and the Bucks superkicked practically the entire OTT roster.
