Eddie Kingston pulled from OTT ScrapperMania due to COVID-19

OTT’s ScrapperMania 7 has been dealt another blow.

The Irish promotion announced on Friday that Eddie Kingston has tested positive for COVID-19 and has been pulled from the event.

Kingston had been scheduled to face Man Like DeReiss in Wolverhampton on Friday’s show and Big Damo on Saturday’s card from Dublin. DeReiss will now face Gabriel Kidd on Friday and Big Damo vs. Davey Richards has been added to the lineup for Saturday.

Kingston was to serve as a replacement for Jon Moxley on the show. OTT announced Moxley for ScrapperMania 7 back in January but AEW ended up pulling him so he could perform on a house show in Troy, Ohio this weekend. AEW then announced they would be sending Eddie Kingston and one other replacement to Ireland for the shows as a make-good for pulling Moxley.

Updated lineup for ScrapperMania 7 night one from Wolverhampton —

  • Millie McKenzie, Lee Hunter & Omari vs. Session Moth Martina, Danny Cross, LJ Cleary w/ Santino Marella as referee
  • Kid Lykos vs. Robbie X
  • Man Like DeReiss vs. Gabriel Kidd
  • OTT Tag Team Champions The Draw (Charlie Sterling & Adam Maxted) defend against Michael Oku & Leon Slater
  • NLW Nationwide Champion Sammy D defends against Trent Seven
  • PAC vs. Big Damo

Updated lineup for ScrapperMania 7 night two from Dublin —

  • Santino Marella & The Sem vs. Renzo Rose & Iljia Zarkov
  • Davey Richards vs. Big Damo
  • OTT Gender Neutral Champion Danny Cross vs. LJ Cleary
  • OTT Women’s Champion Debbie Keitel defends against Session Moth Martina

A four-way match with Davey Richards, PAC, Robbie X, and Leon Slater was also scheduled for Saturday but Richards will now replace Eddie Kingston as Big Damo’s opponent.

Jon Moxley off OTT ScrapperMania 7, AEW sending two replacements

AEW star Jon Moxley has officially been pulled from his scheduled appearance at OTT ScrapperMania 7.

In an update sent to ticket holders on Monday, OTT Wrestling confirmed that Moxley will no longer be appearing at their ScrapperMania event in Dublin, Ireland on Saturday, March 18. The appearance had been in doubt since AEW announced Moxley for their house show in Ohio that’s taking place on the same day.

OTT noted that, with Moxley off ScrapperMania, AEW will be sending two replacements. Eddie Kingston will be one of the replacements. The other replacement will be confirmed in the coming days.

Unfortunately AEW have confirmed that due to a newly added live event on March 18th in Ohio, USA, Jon Moxley will no longer be able to appear at OTT ScrapperMania 7. However, AEW have confirmed that they will send two replacements, one of whom will be Eddie Kingston with second name to be confirmed in the coming days. We would like to express our deepest apologies to our fans who have been looking forward to seeing Jon Moxley but our team are working hard around the clock to make sure ScrapperMania 7 surpasses all expectations.

Those who purchased a meet and greet with Moxley can request a refund. If not, they’ll be given access to OTT’s ScrapperMania FanFest.

Moxley was scheduled to face Big Damo at ScrapperMania 7

Moxley was originally supposed to appear at OTT ScrapperMania 6 in 2020, but he had to be pulled from that show following the start of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Jon Moxley announced for OTT ScrapperMania 7

Ireland’s Over The Top (OTT) Wrestling has announced Jon Moxley for an upcoming event.

Moxley will take part in the promotion’s Scrappermania 7 on Saturday, March 18, 2023 from Dublin’s National Stadium. His opponent has yet to be announced.

The annual event is considered the biggest night of the year for the promotion.

Also announced for the show are OTT Champion Omari, Tag Team Champions The Draw (Charlie Sterling and Adam Maxted), Session Moth Martina, and Trent Seven. Tickets go on-sale beginning Friday, January 13, 2023.

Moxley was originally scheduled to take part in OTT Scrappermania 6 on March 13, 2020. However, the event was postponed due to the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic. He was to wrestle David Starr on the show.

Following the postponement of Scrappermania VI, OTT launched a GoFundMe to help them recoup losses from not being able to run the event. A $1000 donation was made under Moxley’s real-name of Jonathan Good.
