Mike Santana & OTM six-man tag part of next WWE NXT lineup

Mike Santana is heading back to NXT in New York City next week.

On Tuesday’s show, it was revealed that Santana will be the tag team partner for OTM when they take on Darkstate in a six-man tag match at the Infosys Theatre at Madison Square Garden. The TNA World Champion appeared on a video screen and told Darkstate that when they land at the airport, they better wipe their feet and show their respect because papi is coming home.

Los Americanos will take on Birthright with the winners facing Vanity Project at Stand & Deliver. Rayo and Bravo were last minute replacements when Elio LeFleur and Eli Knight were found attacked backstage. The two went on to the finals of the number one contender’s tournament by defeating The Culling.

Kendal Grey and Lola Vice will determine the number one contender for Jacy Jayne’s Women’s title in St. Louis on April 4. Grey called her shot after she and Wren Sinclair defeated Fallon Henley and Laney Reid, but Vice came out and told Grey she may be champion someday, but not before her.

Josh Briggs was added to the Keanu Carver vs. Jasper Troy match next week as a special guest referee. After it was revealed that no referee wanted to officiate that match, Briggs ended up volunteering for the job. Kelani Jordan, meanwhile, will face Jaida Parker after the latter attacked the former while she continued to attack Thea Hail after their match.

A contract signing for Stand & Deliver will also take place between Ethan Page, Ricky Starks, Joe Hendry, and Tony D’Angelo. After the four brawled in the main event, Robert Stone made the match for St. Louis and announced a contract singing would take place next week to make it official.

After spending most of Tuesday tracking down Blake Monroe, Tatum Paxley found her in a hotel room and confronted Monroe when she opened her hotel room door. Paxley informed Monroe they would be meeting next week and told her to bring the NXT North American title, which Monroe stole last week.

WWE NXT notes: New Fatal Influence member, tag team returns

News and notes coming from Tuesday’s NXT.

OTM made their return on NXT, attacking Chase U, Hank & Tank, and the Culling while they were wrestling a triple threat tag team match. Bronco Nima and Lucien Price laid out all three teams in dominant fashion, cementing themselves as future contenders. It was later announced that they would be back in action next week against Hank & Tank.

The two haven’t teamed together since January of this year, out of action due to injuries.

During Tuesday’s show, a video package aired of Fatal Influence explaining that Jazmyn Nyx was eliminated by someone that wanted to prove their loyalty to them in a way that “the other” never did. It was then revealed that Laney Reid was sitting next to them. Reid said that falling short against Jayne earlier this year made her realize that in order to get like the NXT Women’s Champion, she needs to follow in her direction. Jayne then welcomed Reid as the newest member of Fatal Influence.

The trio eventually returned at the end of the night, when Tatum Paxley won a battle royal to become the new number one contender for Jayne’s title. The show ended with the new trio staring down Paxley, who celebrated with longtime friend Lyra Valkyria.

OTM earn future NXT Tag Team title match

OTM are next in line.

Lucien Price and Bronco Nima won the Christmas Chaos four-way tag match on Tuesday’s NXT. In a match full of Christmas-themed weapons, it was Ridge Holland disguised as Santa Claus that led to the finish. Holland, who had been disguised all night handing gifts to the crowd, attacked Tony D’Angelo at ringside by laying him out with a DDT. Stacks & Luca Crusifino in the ring were distracted long enough for OTM to take advantage, pinning them to earn a future Tag Team title match.

Holland was last seen at NXT Deadline earlier this month losing to Trick Williams in a match that had been for the NXT Championship.

Current champions Nathan Frazer & Axiom have spent much of the year not being on the same page. Despite that, they have come up successful every time they’ve had to defend the Tag Team titles, sometimes even wrestling twice on the same night. They most recently successfully defended the titles against Gallus on the December 17 edition of NXT.

Six-person tag match set for WWE NXT

A new match has been added to the lineup for Tuesday’s edition of NXT.

Michin, Karl Anderson & Luke Gallows of The O.C. will wrestle OTM’s Jaida Parker, Bronco Nima, & Lucien Price in a six-person tag team match on the show.

“After weeks of hostility, brawls, and verbal attacks, O.T.M. and The O.C. will go to war in a Six-Person Mixed Tag Team Match THIS TUESDAY on #WWENXT!”

OTM is 2-0 in recent weeks over the OC. Nima & Price defeated Anderson & Gallows in a two-on-two tag on last week’s show and Parker defeated Michin two weeks ago in a street fight.

The announced lineup for the Tuesday, July 16 WWE NXT:

  • NXT North American Champion Oba Femi defends against Duke Hudson
  • The Rascalz (Wes Lee, Zachary Wentz & Trey Miguel) vs. Gallus (Mark Coffey, Joe Coffey & Wolfgang)
  • Brooks Jensen vs. Je’Von Evans
  • The O.C. (Michin, Karl Anderson & Luke Gallows) vs. OTM (Jaida Parker, Bronco Nima, & Lucien Price)

OTM earn Tag Team title match on WWE NXT

Out The Mud have earned a NXT Tag Team title match.

The start of Tuesday’s show saw Bronco Nima and Lucien Price defeat Chase U’s Andre Chase and Duke Hudson in what was billed as an All or Nothing match. The finish had Chase insist on being tagged in, saying “I got this”. After tagging in, he was immediately cut off and pinned by Nima following an assisted spinebuster.

As a result of the win, OTM have now earned a future Tag Team title match against current champions Stacks & Tony D’Angelo, who were watching the match atop a balcony. They also now owed an undetermined sum of money from Chase.

In a digital exclusive, Scrypts said they would get the titles and told Chase that they needed their money.

The win by OTM is part of a weeks-long storyline involving Chase U, who have been rocked by financial scandal thanks to Chase who has used school funds for gambling purposes. On last week’s NXT, he was gambling away more money when Chase proposed a match where he gets enough money to get the school out of financial debt plus a future Tag Team title match. Adriana Rizzo, who in recent weeks has represented D’Angelo and Stacks, okayed the match.
